"I wanted to ask something of Vegeta," you tell Bulma.

She blinks. "Oh, well, good luck with that. I'm going to go start getting things ready. You two play nice while I'm gone."

Bulma leaves the room, and Vegeta continues to stare coldly at you.

You explain the situation to him, the threat, the request made by Cooler, all of it. You conclude by telling him that you want him to come as well.

"You must be out of your mind!" Vegeta snaps. "As if I would ever-"

"Hey, keep your voice down, Trunks is sleeping!" Bulma hisses, sticking her head in the room.

Vegeta glares in her direction, but does lower his voice. "Cooler will be giving you all of the information you'll need. I have no interest in travelling with your brat brigade, especially not to help you, or Cooler."

You can tell that he's not backing down on this, and ultimately relent.

As you prepare to leave the room, you stop and look back. "Good fight, by the way. Thanks for giving me the kick in the pants I needed. From now on, I'll try and keep my act together and be ready for whenever you're ready for another round."

Vegeta growls, but says nothing else.

Figuring that's about all you'll get from him, you depart Capsule Corp and head home.

Nappa is there, talking with Sixteen, while Icarus watches from nearby. Your dragon lets out a happy cry upon seeing you, floating into the sky and moving beside you as you come in to land. He nuzzles up against you, then licks your hand, wagging his tail.

Kaguya is not and never was an incompetent fighter. However, after killing Frieza, he realized that he was still terrified, deep down. And then he realized he always would be terrified of dying, of facing a foe that he, with his infinite potential power, could not hope to bring down.

Ever since then, he has been, in some way, a self-fulfilling prophecy. He got a deathwish. He took fights less seriously and dived into every threatening situation headfirst with no thought to himself. He did terrible (to his eyes) things out of this fear (getting Gohan/Goku to go SS for one), but the elation he felt from defending earth against Nappa, keeping his friends safe, never returned. He's gone into every fight hoping to die, and once he did die, the first thing he did was kick back and relax. It was the first time in years when he didn't have to be afraid.

Your mother sighs, smiling weakly. "I'll make something for you real quick."

She once more begins to babble something you can't understand, then goes quiet, having apparently said all that she needs to say. Letting out a yawn, she falls asleep in your arms.

Your father smiles and gently takes her from you. "Why don't you go get everything you need? I'll put Drake in her crib."

You make your way upstairs, grabbing some fresh changes of clothes, and filling several bags of Senzu Beans. Soon, you have six bags of twenty, one for each of you. With all of your supplies gathered, you make your way downstairs, finding your mother filling some containers with soup for you.

"All I could prepare on such short notice," she tells you. "Hopefully you won't be gone for too long, and this will be enough."

"Going off to fight without me?" Nappa asks, stepping inside and giving you an irritated glance.

You depart for Capsule Corp, finding Kazuma frantically flying from his house while his parents yells after him angrily. Glancing back and sighing, Kazuma flies beside you.

"I am so grounded when I get home," he tells you.

The two of you soon reach Capsule Corp, where Sixteen bids you both farewell before flying back towards your home with the Dragon Radar.

Going inside, you find Haya already waiting, and are able to sense Billy on his way. Gohan and Videl seem to still be at their own homes.

"Hey, guys," Haya greets from her spot lounging on the couch.

She doesn't seem to have packed much, just some clothes.

Bulma walks in from the other room, holding Trunks in her arms. "Welcome back, boys. The ship is all ready. When the others get back, I'll give you all the grand tour."

Trunks begins to cry, and Bulma starts making faces to try and cheer him up. That doesn't work, so she announces that she's going to go feed Trunks and will soon return.

"So, Haya, how did your parents feel about you going?" you ask.

"They didn't like the idea," she answers. "But, they figured I'd be safe if I was with you."

Haya rolls her eyes. "It's like they forget I'm almost as strong as you are."

"Almost?" Kazuma asks.

Haya shrugs. "I'm not an idiot. Kaguya's more powerful than me. Just means I have to work to catch up with him."

Kazuma doesn't offer a response, and, as things go quiet, you toss Senzu Bean pouches to Kazuma, Haya, and finally Billy as he walks into the room. Before too much time has passed, Gohan and Videl arrive as well, and you hand them their beans.

Bulma soon returns, and leads everyone to a nearby hangar. You see several machines, including the ones you used to fight Gedar, spread throughout the room. However, your attention is drawn to a ship that looks nearly identical to the one you used to reach Namek.

Unsurprisingly, Bulma leads you to it, pulling a remote from her top and using it to open the ship. A ramp lowers, and Bulma leads you and your group inside.

The layout is the same as the last ship you visited as well, with a gravity machine in the center, and the rest of the room empty, save a large monitor on the far wall. However, this ship is larger than the one you took to Namek. And, you don't see a refrigerator or any sort of beds anywhere.

"So, the gravity chamber is in the center of the room," Bulma explains to everyone.

Upon not seeing any buttons to do that, you realize that it is operated by voice command. Telling it to contact Cooler, you watch as an image of Frieza's brother appears on screen.

"No you can't," Haya tells him.

"Who asked you?" Kazuma snaps.

Haya smirks. "I bet if you and I sparred right now, you couldn't land a single hit without using energy attacks."

Knowing from experience that they're going to spar whether you want them to or not, you decide to get some training out of it, suggesting that you try restraining them with telekinesis while they spar.

"Fine," Haya says with a shrug.

"Sure," Kazuma agrees.

Kazuma rushes at Haya, throwing a powerful punch that the girl easily avoids. Kazuma follows with a strong kick, which Haya also avoids. As he continues to attack, you stretch out with your mind, trying to slow your friends. But, their energy is simply too much for you to effect at all with your lack of experience.

Still, you're not one to quit, and you keep trying.

Before long, Kazuma does manage to land a hit, and Haya responds by finally starting to fight back. The two fight fiercely with one another, and the others watch in stunned silence as they spar without using any energy attacks.

You continue trying to effect your friends with your psychic powers, but their energy seems to cancel out any attempt you make to simply control them.

However, as she begins charging once again, the energy waves curve and strike her in the back, throwing her forward towards you, and allowing you to hit her with another energy blast.

Videl is thrown into the air, and soon crashes to the ground in front of you, groaning as she pushes herself to her feet.

"Alright, you asked for it," she tells you, charging and throwing a kick that you barely manage to block.

She follows by kicking you in the jaw, then punches you in the gut as you land. As you counter with more energy attacks, she leaps back before destroying them with attacks of her own.

Gathering your energy you fire a barrage of small blasts at her, which she easily dodges. However, she starts to look confused as you throw blasts that aren't even aimed at her, only to gaze around in shock as she sees energy blasts floating in the air all around her.

Her only escape from the energy blasts surrounding her is to push forward through the only opening, an opening which leads directly to you.

You hold your hands towards Videl, firing a pair of energy waves as you mentally command your blasts to close in on Videl.

She rushes forward, pushing right into your blasts, managing to avoid the brunt of the barrage, but getting scorched as she pushes through your energy waves.

When your attack is over, her clothes are torn, and she is panting heavily.

"Yes," you tell her.

You rush forward, and she smirks, dashing to meet your charge. However, when she reaches you, she punches through and Afterimage. As Videl staggers forward in surprise, you appear behind her, hitting her in the back with an energy attack.

Videl slides forward, and, as you fire another blast, she leaps into the air, spinning and kicking it aside before answering with an energy attack of her own. As you block it, she rushes towards you, throwing a punch that you parry, and a kick that you block with your knee.

You answer with a punch she avoids by leaning her head to the side, and chop at her neck, only for her to push back and fire another pair of energy blasts.

You fire a pair of waves that go right through them, and Videl drops to the ground to avoid them. Springing on her hands, she rapidly rises into the air, landing on your shoulders and locking her legs behind your head.

She bends her upper body backwards, placing her palms on the ground before bringing her lower body with it and throwing you into the air.

You recover quickly, and fire an energy blast down at her as she rushes up at you. Swerving to avoid it, she quickly reaches you and throws a punch that you lean to avoid before catching her wrist. She throws a kick with her left leg that you block with your right arm, then brings her right knee into your gut, forcing you to release her.

She kicks again, but you duck beneath it before blasting her in the back and pushing her away from you. You gather your energy and fire a large wave of it as she floats with her back turned to you.
