After encountering a strange, possibly phantom, beast in the Oomura family manor, Yuuki Kiryoka came face to face with Sen; a young magical girl part of Mai Aihara's entourage. Opting for diplomacy, Sen revealed her fabulous mental powers to him, and drew him into a dream realm that she appears to have complete control over. But how far does her control extend exactly, and what is she after?

You are Yuuki Kiryoka, a young cyborg cloned from Kiryoka genes and have become mentally distinct from your creator. You bear no magical power, but instead the might of advanced, alien technology, against those that would oppose your goals.
>>

"You're in my power now, Yuuki-kun." Sen's words hang in the air as you consider your options. Faced with an opponent you could deal with in raw power, this would be no contest. Your speed and power are phenomenal, granted by your android body, but the very thing that allows you to experience humanity appears to be your downfall here. In the realm of the mind, Sen is on top. Or at least, that's the way she wants it to appear. Toying with you, maybe? You could use that...

Of all the foci you have records on, this one is most likely the 'mind' aspect. Easy enough to figure out, but something about it seems off to you. Like it shouldn't... be here? Dammit, if you just had access to the archives you could figure so much of this out. All these rules; they didn't prevent this incident from happening, you hardly see why Royale thinks they be a help in fixing it. Not that aiding, let alone creating, magical girls is playing by the rules anyway.

"So... what are you going to do to me?" You ask, stomaching the kimono hanging from your body for now. It honestly doesn't look that bad on you, but you have enough trouble trying to be a regular human male without Makoto and Yui fawning over you. Sen squints at the air for a second before appearing in front of you, floating. You take a step back in surprise.

"Hm," she thinks for a moment, then shrugs, "I don't know, but I'll think of something. It's been a while since I made a shared dream, and certainly never with a boy before. We've got all the time in the world in here." She sighs, orbiting you in this frozen memory. "All the dilated time at least. Even that lug behind you will take a while to notice anything's strange from our perspectives." She giggles, tapping down on the ground. She knew about Saito then. That makes sense; she could probably read his thoughts. He might still be useful if you can distract her for long enough...

"I skimmed him earlier. Never seen anyone that repressed before." She comments, leaning back and waving her arms. "Outside he'd never show it but, oh, if you could see inside his head for five minutes. Hehe~ wow!" She laughs, floating again.

"Is... is it just me or are you a bit 'different' in here?" You ask, raising an eyebrow. The girl is surprisingly animated right now; a contrast to just before when she was stoic and almost stuttering. She orbits you again in midair as you stumble around, trying to keep her in your sight.

"Everyone's different in their own head, Yuuki-kun." She says with a pout, prodding you in the forehead. "Even you, I bet."

"I... guess you could say that." You mutter, putting a hand over your head sheepishly. Not so long ago there barely was a 'you'. Just Robo's orders.

"It's just so liberating in here~" She sighs, comfortable in her own escapism. "Even Pepper can't come in unless I let her."

"Black Pepper... your toy snake?" You ask, still confused about that. She glares at you.

"She's not a toy..." She grumbles, causing the world to seem a little darker and rumble. "Hmph, but I guess I shouldn't tell you anyway. Pepper told us all about Maiden and what she plans to do. We'll never let you win!" She states to you with a sure smile. Everyone's the hero of their own story, you suppose. You need to deal with them before they get any more desperate with their plans. Sen might be the first step; whether you can convince or purify her. But how to approach this...

> Demand she release you. Threaten her.
> Cry. Maybe sympathy will help.
> Offer a deal. She's willing to talk, maybe she can bargain. Their 'Blackout' power could help you reclaim Shun's focus.

> Okay, we're acting excited for now, because it works well on her, but bargaining can be done later.

She did say she was bored earlier, and you can't forget she is still fairly young. Enthusiasm can be infectious. You prod at the walls of the dream for a second as she looks on over you. Your eyes drift down to the feminine robes adorning your person, and you sigh.

"Is it really that free in here?" You ask, your back turned to her. She nods, sitting in the air as if on a magic carpet, with her legs crossed.

"The only people who can come in are those I allow." She asserts. You turn around and pick up the sides of the dress with an elated grin.

"Then... I LOVE THIS!" You squeal, smiling as wide as you can go. Sen gasps and hits the ground as the world around you statically fuzzes for a second, a reaction to her shock. You keep the grin up; a pained smile that you try to make as endearing as possible. She seems to like the idea of you dressing, so maybe if you pretend to enjoy it she'll go for it. You spin around, letting the folds and long sleeves the kimono fly freely in the air.

"I always thought I had to be so boyish and manly before but oneechan Makoto showed me how much fun it can be to just let go and embrace this side of yourself. But I could never do this in real life, especially with everyone at school watching." You say, sliding up beside her and holding a sleeve in front of your mouth as she stares at you in disbelief. The best lies do have truth interspersed, after all.

"But if you're right then I can truly be the real me in here!" You exclaim, spinning around again. You stop in place and quickly glance at her, adopting a worried look and posture, your eyes as wide and cute as you can make them. "You... y-you won't tell anyone, right?" You ask in a quiet and trembling voice. Putty in your hands; eat your heart out, Makoto!

>>
>>39289674

"Uh, no, I won't!" She says, jumping back to her feet with a serious face.

"Promise? Not even Mai or Naru?" You ask, turning your head. She flinches and clenches her hand.

"I..." She glances back at you and notices your demure, pleading face. "Erng.... Okay, I promise. No-one." She agrees, holding a hand over her chest. You leap forward and hug her, the two of you spinning around in the embrace.

"Thank you! Oh wow, I've never been so excited~" You exclaim, holding her steady. She blinks with a weak smile whilst you secretly grin to yourself. Just like you figured; the mind reader acts cocky when she knows everything but faced with a surprise she's simple to manipulate. All you have to do is keep her from reading your mind and discovering the truth. Speaking of which, you see her stare at you for a second with those same, striking eyes.

"Uh, hey!" You quickly say, waving a hand in front of her face to break her concentration. "You said you would think of some good ideas, so how about you start telling me what they are?" You ask, batting your eyelashes at her. The question distracts her enough to stop her from skimming your mind. At least your saving grace here is that she isn't constantly reading your thoughts. She mentioned 'skimming' before; maybe she needs more of a connection to get a proper reading.

"Um, I have a few ideas." She admits, tapping her fingers together. "I thought I was teasing you before but I wonder how you'd take them now." She asks herself.

"Sounds good~!" You say in your fake happy voice. This persona is starting to grate on you, but you have to keep it up. So long as she thinks you're enjoying this, you can avoid any dangerous situations.

"Um, okay, bear with me." She asks you. With the snap of her fingers, the world dissolves into a large void of swirling mist that slowly shifts and intermixes. You swipe a hand through one cloud and feel nothing as it passes through. A figment of your imagination?

"Why the cloud room?" You ask, turning to her.

"I can work better without trying to keep a lot of things intact, unless I transform into Sombre of course." She says, her eyes glowing as she holds her head. Preparing outfits, no doubt.

"Sombre?" You ask, tilting your head. "Is that your magical girl name?" She nods.

"Sombre Sunset." She confirms, swinging her arm out. "Here, let me show you." Before you can raise an objection, she envelops herself in a consuming purple light. It bulges and shivers, swirling about her like a dark mist, before finally flashing and leaving her standing there. Her magic girl outfit fits the gothic style she was wearing before; a bulging dress cutoff at the knees with stockings and boots. A small hat adorns her head and the top of the gown is split diagonally; one side decorated with nocturnal regalia, and the other with more audacious figments. Duality of dark and light; fits for a sunset, you suppose.

"I guess Sunset counts as a colour." You mutter, scratching your chin.

"Why does it have to be a colour?" She asks. You shrug.

"We always have colours with ours." She pouts.

"Well we have phases of time, okay?" She insists. Still a colour, you think.

>>
>>39291276

"Say, what would *your* magical girl name be?" She asks, suddenly appearing in front of you.

"Huh!?" You flinch at the question.

"Come on, I know you don't have a power but just imagine you did. What would you have?" She asks, excitedly.

"Uh, I can't say I have a preference. I'm no magical girl..." You say, scratching your cheek. Sombre smiles and snaps her fingers, and suddenly you feel your waist and chest start to constrict.

"Now you can be!" She exclaims, bringing a mirror into existence. You glance at it and almost lose your cool right there. Your kimono is gone, but has been replaced with a tight-fitting, revealing white sailor leotard. She even had the foresight to give you a tiara, gloves, and high heels, which you immediately start wobbling on. Your bare legs snap together and your face flushes red as you glare up at her. She assumes the same outfit, albiet with a much longer skirt.

"Give me some warning!" You shriek as she giggles. "How is this even a skirt? It's barely a belt." You whine.

"Hehe, maybe it is a little too short." She suggests. You glance down at what can graciously be called a 'miniskirt' just over your crotch and agree. "How about... this?" She asks, changing your outfit again. This time it's a little more conservative, with a longer skirt, headband, and tight leggings connected to boots. Honestly this one you don't have much of a problem with - o-other than it being a female outfit - and take a step back to get a better look. Sen looks at you expectantly, clad in a puffy pink dress and knee-highs herself, and you play up your excitement.

"Ah, it's wonderful, a little overdone maybe. I guess I only wish it was *more* magical." You say. Okay, maybe that was a little too much.

[2/3]
>>
>>39291334

"More? Oh, let's go full witch then!" She gasps, snapping once more. Your vision is immediately obscured by a giant steeped hat that pops into existence. The outfit from before is replaced with a cute, short robe and adorable staff. A cute little witch, it seems; but at least it's not a 3-inch miniskirt again. Sen assumes a similar outfit, enjoying the robe, it seems.

"It's g-great!" You say, observing yourself. Is this really what Makoto does with Yui all day? You mean, you guess you can see the appeal; hang out with a friend, find some outfits, maybe some cute accessories and-

"GAH!" You shout, holding your head. Don't actually start enjoying this! You'll end up like Yui.

"You look great!" Sen squeals, grabbing you by the arm and tugging you close to her.

"Eek!" You shriek, then slap a hand over your mouth. Nngh, this dress-up is doing things to you...

"I hope you get a focus one day and awaken, just like we did." She watches the both of you in the mirror and throws up a peace sign, and you copy her action. "Too bad you'd be with Maiden though." She sighs, stepping back. "Mn, no, can't let that get me down. Not when Yuuki-chan is having so much fun."

"Y-Yuuki-chan!?" You seethe with a shiver. She shifts back from her form as Sombre into her other outfit and sighs contentedly.

"Hm, I'm not sure I have time for a lot more though. I wasn't even supposed to leave without talking to Naru first." She mumbles to herself.

"Sounds like they care about you." You scoff, taking off the silly hat and batting it. She rubs her arm.

"Mai... she saved me, there's really no other way to say it. Not long ago, I was in a real bad place. I didn't know anyone to go to, and no-one would help. Pepper said she was counting on me to be brave and do 'whatever it takes'. I... I hurt people, I know I did." She admits quietly, withdrawing into her arms. "She said it would make me stronger, and i-it did but I..."

"Sen..." Considering how they interpret power, she probably corrupted a few times over by now. A corrupted magical girl with mental powers? That's a terrifying thought... literally.

"But then there was Mai." She says, pulling her head out. "She was so weird," Sen wipes her sleeve over her eyes with a sniff, "Wouldn't stop talking, so happy and energetic; I'd never met anyone like that. I thought for sure she'd leave once she was bored, leave me all alone again, but she didn't. Even when I did bad things to her, she stayed with me; acted like I was the one who got hurt. Pepper helped me learn about Sombre, but Mai was the one who really saved me. I love my onee, Yuuki." She says, smiling to herself as she sits down on the air.

"Naru too. She gets really bossy and angry, but I know it's just because she wants to keep us safe. She loves Mai too, as much as I do, but she'd never admit it, heehe." You tap at your hat as she explains and consider your own situation.

[1/2]
>>
>>39292758

"I think I can understand that, though I might not agree about Mai. Not many people ever even considered treating me the way that Makoto does." You say, cracking a genuine smile. "I don't even get how he can be so nice all the time. If he knew about all the things I..." You catch your tongue for a second, realising he doesn't know all that much about what you're here for. You don't exactly know how he'd react, but you can't imagine he'd approve of it. Your thoughts are interrupted by Sen taking your hand.

"Well, if she's anything like Mai, I think it'll make you both stronger for knowing. You should trust him; that's what family does, right?" She says, tilting her head with a smile.

"...Right." You reply back. Even if he might hate you for it, Makoto needs to know. They all need to know about Royale, and the facility. The prison.

You feel the dreamworld start to warp around you for a second as Sen's eyes start to flicker, and you quickly grab her hand. "Wait!"

"Huh!?" She flinches as the realm solidifies.

"Before we go back, I want to ask you a favour." You say, still holding her arm. "I... I want one of your blackouts." You ask.

"'Blackout'? You mean that sensor thing that Naru does?" She asks, pointing upwards. You nod to her; so Naru is the culprit.

"I think that ability might be the key to helping some of my friends get their powers back." You explain, taking a step forward. "They're locked up and I can't get them out without alerting anyone. If you can somehow cause another one, it could be just the thing I need." You insist. She hesitates, looking away.

"I don't think Naru's going to be eager to help out anyone on Maiden's side. What'll you do for me in return?" She asks, expecting something.

I know but hearing "Mai's really a sweetheart" really rings hollow to me in this situation, since it comes from someone who's clearly heavily biased with iffy memories due to corruption; and Mai's already met Pepper after the stuff this girl's talking about, meaning she was probably told to make Sen like her no matter what

"That's all you need to do. Tell her Makoto's up to some tricks or something, I don't think she'll raise an objection." You suggest with a chuckle. Sen doesn't seem to share the joke though.

"You seem really nice, I wish we didn't have to fight." She sighs. This is partially just an act you're putting on, but ending this feud between your groups does seem like a good idea.

"Well why do you have to do what they say?" You ask, pouting your lips. "You say being in control here is liberating and you enjoy it then stop letting them boss you around. You're your own girl!" You insist, nodding to her.

"Ngh, they don't boss me." She grunts, taking her hand back. "...But I guess I would like to do my own thing once in a while. Pepper usually has me do a lot in her plans to support the others." She explains, looking at her hand. "Maybe I will ask her. I'm plenty strong now, I think I can relax a little." She cracks a small smile to herself. All you need is for her to perform the blackout, but you're not too confident about trying to trick her. She doesn't seem malicious.

The dreamworld around you seems to shudder a little more. If you stay here, Saito might jump her, but if you might not be able to experience this place again if things go sour with them.

that's pretty villainous behavior, anon. like, Bond Villain kind of behavior
>>
>>39293539
But they've been misinformed and don't see it that way, and to them we are undoing everything they worked for. Plus I'm pretty sure no one was 'mind raped'. They just had a memory gap, and Yui was in on it until we talked to her.
>>
>>39293687
>>literally tried to drive Makoto insane using his brainwashed love interest
Man, I really wanted to Makoto to go full despair in that scene. It was so emotive.
>>
>>39293709
even if they were misinformed, what sane person decides the way to convince someone else they're doing bad things is turning everyone they love against them so they experience total despair and experience a psychotic break? because that's literally what they wanted. Yui told us that once we got her back
>>
>>39293739
I'm glad we didn't, because I feel like Maiden Black would still enact justice on villains. Only her justice is more RIP AND TEAR, and villains are anyone she doesn't like
>>
>>39293687
>>literally tried to drive Makoto insane using his brainwashed love interest
that was a actually just acting devised formed in most part by Yui herself, just a bad decision stemming from bad info.
>>
>>39293783
I think it would be different than that. I think, in that particular scene, Maiden Black would go full yandere on Yui and others, desperate to not be abandoned and similar.
>>
>>39293783
awesome as that would be, gonna have to agree with you. Things were already getting dark and depressing, I would probably have to drop the quest if that happened because I wouldn't want to see Makoto after he loses everyone and then kills them because Maiden Black thinks betrayals are just as unjust as siding against her from the beginning

"Exactly," you say, putting your hands to your cheeks, "and isn't this relaxing?" You ask, spinning around in your robe and popping the hat back on. You wink adorably (groaning inside) at her.

"But... But I need to-" You put a finger to her lips.

"You need to calm down and think up some outfits." You insist, nodding your eyebrows. She pauses for a moment and looks up and down your body.

"I guess... maybe a little longer." She mumbles, putting a hand over her mouth. You clap.

"Perfect!" Now all you need is for Saito to notice. That can't take too long, he's a smart guy. You just have to endure until then.

"Hm, you said you were in school right?" She asks. You nod, then flinch as her eye sparkles. "Well~ how about this!" She snaps her fingers and the two of you pop with cloudy smoke. Much to your expectation, you reach down and feel the ruffles of a skirt at your legs. A school outfit to be precise, and a matching one on Sen.

"Not again..." You groan, putting a hand to your head. You feel something strange on the back of your head and notice, in the mirror, that she even put your hair up in a braid. "Agh... hm." You squeak, tugging at it. It does... look kind of cute. Sen has her hair hanging down and is in a school outfit as well, but is staring at you.

"Again?" Sen asks, a blank look on her face.

"U-Uh, I mean, i-isn't it just boring to have just school outfits?" You quickly say. "I mean, 'again', they're all over anime and tv. Just the clothes is a little boring." You trail off, listing things. She nods.

"True. How about I make a school to go with them?" She asks, her eyes flashing. "Oh, we could even use your memory for it!"

I like this. Justice says you don't mind read without permission and most certainly without knowledge you're doing it. Nobody plays poker with a reader unless they trust they won't use it at critical moments or when they start to lose a good amount of hands. It's about trust, no trust, no meaningful and happy relationship. You earn it, you can't just expect it.

Let's say you're right. Her plan was good in that case, but she underestimated her own ability to pull it off and in the end couldn't go against who she was as a person. It pained her to see Makoto's tortured face, she felt his pain, knew she was the reason, and couldn't bear it in the end.

All that proves is that she was a good person deep down. Can you really, maliciously, hurt the ones you love without breaking down? If you can, then I doubt you really loved them. Lovers want to see the best of the ones they love. Their happiness is yours, your happiness is theirs. I can hardly see anything wrong with this concept so long as you filter out the scumbags who only see you as a mere means to an end.
>>
>>39294316

"Uh, c-cool." You mutter, immediately self-conscious of what she might create using your memories of school. If she starts poking around in your memories, it might not be good for you. Plus, seeing your classmates staring at you in those clothes again...

"What's wrong?" She asks, her hands behind her back and leaning towards you. You gulp.

"Please don't pull any more out. I've been taught that other people's memories are private things." You ask her politely, holding your hands together.

"Oh, sorry. Guess I didn't think of that." She admits with a sheepish look. "Pepper always told me having the power gave me the right to do it. No-one else can read minds, so they'd never 'mind' if I had a peek, ehehe~." She uses air quotes for the pun and giggles. "Mai always advocates for embracing your powers, but Naru has never let me inside her head before. Not once."

"Wait, she can stop you?" You ask, in disbelief.

"Mhm. Her power is strange, something to do with vibrations I think. Anytime I tried to find out what she was thinking, she made this weird buzzing and I couldn't concentrate." She grumbles, buzzing with her tongue. "Makes my head hurt, ugh."

"Well, you should know people don't like the idea of someone poking around in their heads. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate it either. You said the dreamworld is yours alone, right? What if someone could just barge in on you whenever they felt like it?" You say, frowning. She stares at you for a second and looks ashamed.

"...I never thought of it like that." She admits, taking some time to consider it. "Um, you wouldn't mind just a generic school, right? It's a little harder without something to work off of, but I'll try my best."

she regrets hurting people and doesn't realize the road she is walking. she needs help and Makoto has taught us justice and justice involves curing ilins not just beating them. and unlike Mie Sen doesn't try to push herself to power and glory ignoring others she just lives her life with superpowers not realizing her power can hurt people accidentally.

Also Q more that one thread in a a row away from the Quest MC is to many. Plus you have been runing to many Omake I would rather skip the specials as fun as they are and have more plot. Unless you need them to unwind but i dont think you do they seem like more work to me.

"I guess that's okay." You sigh, letting her have this one. You are already in a school uniform and you don't want to stress her any more than you should. She nods with a renewed smile.

"Okay, okay. OH! I've got the perfect thing. I always wanted to go to one of these." She squeals, her eyes glowing. You glance around and watch the world reconfigure itself. A roof forms over your head, constructing an auditorium below it as people start to fill out the area. Smoke covers the ground and you hear a bizzare cacophony of light and colour fill the space. The smoke figures become people; not incredibly varied, but convincing enough as a crowd.

"Wait, y-you don't mean-" You glance down and notice your outfit has already shifted into a dress of shimmering pink. Your hair is up in an elaborate do and your face is speckled with makeup and jewelry. You cough and cover your face to prevent yourself from shrieking as Sen waves over to you, in a dress of her own.

"Ha~ ha~ How great is this!?" She shrieks, beaming and panting from the effort. You suddenly realise the crowd's gazes and feel your face boiling with embarrassment.

"It's..." You mutter. SAITO, NOW!?

"It's p-perfect." You manage to spit out, putting your hands together.

"Not yet. We are the most popular, right?" She asks with a smirk as you hear a snap. Oh god no, you think as you feel a number of people around you. Boy offer to take your hand as the music thumps, and your head spins. T-This is more than you expected. Eventually one singles you out and the two of you begin to dance. Freed from the horde, you feel a little more relaxed; as much as you can be dancing with a boy in a pretty dress.

"Hey, you wanna try kissing?" Sen asks as she passes you with her own partner. "I've never done it before but w-we could!" You want to shout NO at her, but you need to keep this up. With a gulp, you look to your partner and smile, at least until he starts to lean in.

"I-" Then, everything breaks,

The room cracks as you see Sen shudder and shake. The people dissolve and the room begins to break. Does this mean...

You twitch and blink for a second, throwing a hand up to your head as the disco fades away, replaced by the sound of a brief struggle. When your vision returns, you spy Saito holding Sen in a headlock; she even more dazed than you are.

"S-Saito?" You ask, feeling the whiplash.

"Oh good, you're okay." He sighs in relief. "You two stared at each for a little bit before I thought something was up. I was worried doing something might mess you up, but I couldn't just sit there and do nothing." He explains. Your cheeks still feel flushed, and that last sight sticks in your head for a while.

You spy Sen in his grip, still dazed from being broken out of her daydream. Not completely without side effects, then? At least she's not quick on the recovery.

"Yu... ki..." You hear her breathe quietly, grasping in the air.

"She's the one responsible for all the mind control, right?" Saito asks, glaring down at the girl. "Hope she didn't do anything to you before I broke you out. Can't imagine what the little monster was doing..."

I'm enjoying this Yuuki POV.
I think its makes this universe more realistic and lifeful. Makoto is the MC, y es, but he is not the only one in this adventure.
I hope we could see more POVs of other characters too.

> Dice gods continue to direct people away from lewdness.

"She's not as bad as I thought," you tell Saito, "Go easy on her." He watches you for a second and seems to relax his grip on her.

"I hope you're right. I don't want her messing with my head like she did to those other people." Saito laments as he repositions his grip on her. You look down and notice her toy snake on the floor; the one she called Pepper. You're not sure how a snake toy is supposed to be their tactical advisor, but you don't want to take any chances. Kneeling down, you pick up the toy and take it with you. Nothing about it seems bizzare but maybe you should run some tests later. Deprived of 'Black Pepper' maybe these girls will calm down.

Aside from that, you ask Saito if you can search her pockets for a second. You find a simple phone, probably hers, and some other pointless junk like coins and the like. What does grab your attention is a small metallic cube.

"What's that?" Saito asks, peering down at it. He wouldn't know; no-one on this planet should. It's a Royale data cube, and from the looks of it possibly even an archival unit containing who knows what kind of information. Your own data banks are full of similar storage medium, although this a portable piece. Probably a souvenir from those who started this whole mess.

"It's nothing." You tell him, pocketing the cube. Saito gives you a suspicious look but has his focus set on the mind controlling girl in his arms. Lucky for you; but this could be useful and, more importantly, devoid of security. With that settled, you and Saito bring her out of the parlor. What happens next is up to Makoto.

[1/2]
>>
> Whoops, forgot this.

"Please!" You shriek, surprising him, "...be faster. Next time I might not be so lucky." You complain, shuddering at the thought of your first kiss being lost in a dream, and to a guy! Eugh...

"Uh, sure. Guess I'll ignore your well-being next time." He jokes. You can be repaired easily; your memories, not so much.

>>39299154

Speaking of which-

You are Makoto Kiryoka; a teenage boy with a penchant for getting into strange situations. You bear the power of the Mahou Shoujo against-

"Makoto, stop talking to yourself!" Shun exclaims, smacking you in the back of the head. After hearing the situation from Umeki and Momoko, the group of you are heading down to the foyer to regroup with Saito and Yuuki. You yourself are already in your Maiden White form, and Yui is prepped as Strict Ebony. Shun grumbles behind the pair of you, currently lacking her Musume suit, and the two siblings are behind her, taking up the rear.

"Sorry, force of habit." You chuckle, climbing down the stairs. The five of you hit the foyer and see nothing at first, but hear the sound of footsteps as Saito and Yuuki emerge from the basement, along with another girl you recognise.

"She's-" Yui steps forward.

"One of Mai's." You say with a leer. Judging by her status, she's out cold. A fight maybe? Damn, they did sneak in and try to ambush you.

[2/3]
>>
>>39299175

"Makoto." Yuuki exclaims, leaping forward and hugging you. You're a little surprised at how clingy he is all of a sudden. "I know I haven't been up front with you a lot, and I want to fix that." He explains, looking up at you.

"Uh, glad to hear it." You say, hugging him back. Not that you don't like Yuuki being more honest but the change of attitude is striking to say the least.

"But before that, this," he gestures to the girl, "is Sen. She's a magical girl called Sunset Sombre; she's the only who has the mental powers, and she's part of Mai's group." He explains, but raises his hands at the last part as you all advance. "But she's not quite what we thought! Mai, Pepper, and Naru encouraged her to be irresponsible with her powers, and she's extremely dangerous because of that. But please try to go easy on her, we can still help." He pleads. "I met with her and discussed a deal. If she can hold up her end, we might be able to get Shun's focus back."

"Really!?" She asks excitedly.

"Assuming we can trust her." Yui scoffs. You trust anyone associated with Mai just about as far as you can throw them.

"Wait, no, that's a terrible metaphor for me." You groan, feeling your weak, noodle arms. Still, you have some ideas about where to throw Mai from, but they'll have to wait. For now, let's deal with this girl.

Normally you'd all for purifying a girl you consider to be walking down the evil path, but having Yuuki try and give you pause is certainly a change.

"Getting a crush on the goth girl, are we?" You ask with a sly smile. he flinches and goes a little red, and you hear some 'oohs' from behind you. Momo frowns though.

"I-It's not like that!" He whines, shutting his eyes and balling his fists. Hehe, he's so adorable when he's embarrassed. You're not sure how much you like the idea of him getting a crush on a girl like Sen though, but neither do you want to break the little bastard's heart.

"Sure, sure. Do you think you can start from the beginning?" You ask, gesturing with your hands to 'rewind'. He gives Sen a momentary glance before turning back to you.

"She might wake up any moment, so I can give you the abridged version at the least." He suggests. Yuuki takes a minute or two to explain the concept of this 'dreamworld' to you; a shared space that acts as a kind of mental bridge between her and a participant, from which she can dilate time and manipulate reality. Sounds like a dream, and it surely is. You get the feeling he's leaving big gaps in his story though, particularly about how he managed to keep her occupied for so long. Maybe you can wring it out of him later, could be a fun story at his expense.

>>
>>39299446

"The point being, she's the only way I can think of to retrieve the foci I removed." He finishes on. You take a step back and cross your arms, thinking about it. Just letting her go seems insane to you; she's got mind powers! Maybe not direct control, but it's just as threatening. But you doubt purifying her is going to leave the best impression; it could sour your only chances of getting Shun's focus back.

You glance at your friends to know where they stand.

"It might be selfish, but I need to get my powers back, Makoto. Please, if Yuuki says this is the only way I have to give it a shot." Shun asks, clapping her hands together.

"I don't think we should let her go. She's full of structures, Makoto; we could teach Saito how to create them using her foci and learn from her. Failing that, we could at least purify her. Yuuki's smart, he'll find another way." Yui suggests.

"She seems so young..." Umeki laments, looking over the girl.

"Looks pretty old to me." Momo mutters, glaring at her.

"As much as I hate to say it, purifying her won't remove her powers, and she'd probably hate us for doing it. Not that I'd want to lock someone like this up either..." Saito meanders, unable to make a choice. Thanks buddy.

"Please Makoto. Let her go." Yuuki finally pleads, grabbing onto your clothes. Agh, talk about your tough choices...

All the same, I have to agree with Yui's thinking that Saito needs a better idea of how to manipulate (and just as importantly NOT manipulate) structure. His earliest subconscious efforts turned him into a mindless killing machine.

That'll need handling.

You agonise over the decision, faced with the advice of your friends, and finally sigh.

"...Saito, put her down. We're letting her leave." You say, putting your hands on your hips as you shift back into your regular form. Yuuki's face lights up and he buries his head in your gut with a strong hug at your decision. Yui sighs as she shifts back and crosses her arms, looking on at Sen. You feel Shun's arms wrap around your neck as she kisses you and mashes her cheek against yours.

"Nngh..." You hear her begin to stir as Saito places her on the ground, she slinking to her knees. The cloudiness in her eyes dissipates rapidly and she rubs them, as if waking up, and blinks at your group.

"EEIGH!" She screams, backing up into Saito's legs after seeing all of you around her. She glances up and notices him, then bounces away, continuing to spin in fear. Okay, maybe you should have just popped her outside...

"Sen, calm down!" Yuuki says, grabbing her by the cheeks. Her panicked stance slowly ebbs as she stares at Yuuki, although she still regards you with absolute horror.

"I talked to them, and Makoto agreed to let you go." He explains, brushing some of her hair back. She stares at him, unable to comprehend his words.

"...R-Really? You're just letting me go?" She asks, grabbing onto his arms with her shivering hands. He smiles back to her.

"Mhm. They're worried you might go back on your word, but I trust you. Besides, if it means helping our friends, it's worth the risk." He tells her, adding some dedication to his words. They seem to move her, for what that's worth. Shun kneels down beside Sen, surprising her.

[1/2]
>>
>>39299720

"Uh, h-hey Sen is it? The power that got locked up, it was mine." She explains, placing a hand at her chest. "I don't know what kinda crazy bullcrap this spice girl has been telling you but you can listen to be right now; I only want that part of me back. I feel incomplete without it, and nothing would make me happier than to have it back in my arms again." She says, bearing her heart to the girl. You can't think of many people that Shun's charming, yet goofy way of pleading wouldn't at least touch even slightly.

"...You're all so different from what I imagined." She mutters, looking at all of you. She blinks as she notices Yuuki with her snake though. "Ah, please give that back!"

"Oh, this?" He holds it up. "...You don't mind if I keep it for a while?" He asks. Sen flexes her hands but keeps her mouth shut, staring at it. Yeah, good thinking; we can use her toys as collateral, the sadistic side of you thinks.

"...Mn, please be careful with it." She says, retracting her hands. "And give it back next time I see you, okay?"

"Alright." He agrees. With everything sorted, your group steps back and lets Sen just leave the manor. She doesn't even run, just quietly lets herself out before heading out. Yuuki looks over the Pepper toy with an analytical gaze, at least until Momoko nabs it.

"Hey!"

"Hrm, you know I have toys if you wanted them." She pouts, holding it out of his reach and sticking her tongue out. This is too cute.

"H-hey, uh, thanks, Makoto." Shun says as she stands up. "I know you're operating on a lot of faith here, and I really appreciate it, hun."

"Well, I appreciate you." You shoot back with a cheeky smile. She giggles and rolls her eyes, throwing her arm around your neck again.

"Agh, enough of this, lets get some breakfast. Man, am I thirsty." She pants.

"Oh, I second that." Yui laments. You're feeling pretty parched yourself, but after last night you have an idea of why. Yui's going to need some more clocks.

Heyo, you made some real diplomatic progress here. I honestly didn't know if we'd opt to purify her or let her go; I was prepared for both and they would have led down very different story paths. As such, you decided to sow dissent in their ranks. And since Sen is responsible for the mind alteration, they can't remove her memory of this either. One down, two to go.

Now all Yuuki has to do is avoid explaining about how many pretty dresses he wore in his dream. God help the little bot.

Assuming she manages to pull through, you might have the very real possibility of Shun with transformation powers. Shun's love life is about to get a little more intense, methinks.

Sadly I don't think I can do a Wed session next week, so we'll probably be looking at next Sat for the next session. Back on plot, full steam Makoto though.

Rather not do that. Though heavy leverage of the "Void" concept does lead towards a very awesome power if carried to a kind of logical conclusion.

Still, I thought our power was "purification" or something like that instead of void. I wouldn't want to rob her of her beauty in this case. If we get carried away it gets pretty bad. Beauty can mean any number of things, to rob someone of it entirely could essentially "purify" all good from them, leaving nothing but evil. That ain't a happy ending for anyone.
>>
>>39301726
our specialization is purification the foci is like void element or that's how i would describe it. Qubey said we can sort of multiclass into stuff that is under the foci element with structures
