>Tonight I guess? I’ll cook.

“Tonight I guess?” You say after a moment, “I’ll cook, anything you want?”

Summer hums, “Not really, I’d rather it be a surprise.”

You think about it for a moment, not really sure what you’re going to cook before deciding to narrow some of the options, “Anything you don’t want then? or even don’t like?”

“Ah, I should have thought to mention it, but I don’t like fish… or really seafood at all,” Summer says with obvious distaste in her voice, “Pretty much everything else should be fine though.”

“That’s easily doable,” you say, scratching that off the mental list, “Where do you want to do this?”

“It’ll be easier for you to cook in your own house right? Since you know where everything is,” Summer points out.

“It’s not like it’d be hard to learn your kitchen, I’m plenty capable,” you chuckle, “Seriously its not rocket science.”

Summer takes a second to respond, “It’ll be easier for both of us at your place. So lets do that.”

You hesitate, your curiosity welling up despite you know its probably a touch too personal for you to ask.

“Sure, no worries,” you say, pushing down your curiosity and putting it out of mind, “Seven sound good?”

“Seven… yeah that should be good, where do you live?” Summer asks, “Actually give me a second I probably should write it down.”

You wait and hear some shuffle around before she gives you the go ahead, after confirming your address twice she says, “Alright cool, I’ll be there about then.”

“See you later,” you hang up and stretch as you stand up fro the chair. Those metal patio chairs were not made for extended sitting, thankfully it hasn’t had a chance to bake yet. Otherwise your ass and back would have been cooked.

You head inside after pocketing your cell phone, a glance at the clock shows that its half past ten, at least another hour until lunch time. Idly you realize Summer must eat a really early lunch.

Idly, you consider collecting allowance from your mother, and seeing what she might have found out; the call didn’t last quite as long as you were expecting and you probably could get away with it… plus you know money. That said you kind of wonder what they’re getting up to in your absence.

You figure there’s no time like the present, though you really have no clue where your mother is. She’s not watching TV and a quick check of the office reveals she’s not there, you head to the garage and confirm that her car is still here so she must be around.

Through process of elimination you figure she’s in her room, though you really hope she’s not taking a nap. You quietly open the door, and see that the bed’s is empty, “Mom you around?” you call out with a frown.

She walks out of the master bathroom after a minute, wearing some of your father’s older clothing thats sort of falling apart, “Just doing some cleaning while your father’s out,” she explains.

“I’ve got some time now, if you don’t mind,” you say walking into your parents room, hesitating before you close the door.

“Oh, good. I was worried that you’d make me wait all day,” your mother smiles, “Go ahead and close the door.”

“Well, I might have but a phone call didn’t take as long as I thought it would,” you close the door behind you, something you were planning on anyways, “So anyways, what did you find out?”

Your mother frowns at you, “You really should pick up a bit more… well tact really. At least wait till we sit down or something,” she waves you over, “Here come sit while I work, the chemicals’ll drain if I wait too long.”

“... is it really worth beating around the bush about things like this?” you ask as you follow her into the bathroom, she’s got a scrub brush, one of those magic erasers, and some bathroom cleaner. Thankfully the vent is running so it doesn’t smell too strongly and she’s been going light on the chemicals.

“You could at least cover pleasantries first,” your mother kneels down, and starts scrubbing again. The bathtub really doesn’t need it that bad, but you suppose cleaning before it needs it makes things easier.

“I guess,” you shrug, as you close the toilet lid and take a seat there, “How’s your day going?”

“Good, good,” your mother glances over her shoulder, “See was that so hard?”

“No,” you shake your head, “Seriously though, what’d you find out?”

“For one its surprisingly hard to get drunk mages to talk about anything useful at all,” your mother huffs, “Though that really was just a refresher than something new.”

You shrug and she continues, “For two… well its likely the best possible outcome. Though you’ll lead a busy life if it is. To be certain though, we’d have to go get you checked out,” she pauses to scrub a particularly stubborn spot, “Think of it like a magical doctor.”

“You don’t sound too excited about the idea,” you comment, idly, “Why’s that?”

“Because if its something else they’ll want to study further, and you’ll become less a person and more something interesting to look at,” her tone is a bit venomous, “and if it is they’ll want to train you.”

“Can Dad not do it?” you ask while chewing on that, “I mean he’s magical right?”

“... your dad has a specialized skillset, so probably not,” she sighs, “I wish it was that simple.”

>Can we just leave it be?

“Neither of those sound good, from how you say it,” you idly note.

“It’s just reminding me of the reason I stopped being a magical girl,” she gives a small laugh, “Well literally a lifetime ago,” your mother’s amused smile dies down into a frown, “And now I’ve made myself feel old again.”

“That was all you, I had no part in it,” you say smiling, “but what do you mean anyways?”

She sighs before getting up off her knees and sitting on the edge of the tub to face you, “It’s basically a lose, lose situation. If you turn out to be just fine, then they’ll be worse than a shark who’s smelt blood.”

“On the other hand,” she sighs, “If its something else they hound you for entirely different reasons. Wanting to see exactly how things happen, even though they’ve had plenty of examples over the years.”

“Ah, yeah… then can we just leave it be?” you ask not really all that eager to put up with such things.

“That’s up to you,” you mother gives you a weak smile, “You’re nearly an adult, and worse case scenario… well you are a magical girl you can always fix it.”

Can we at least ask what she knows about it? Clearly she has some ideas or thoughts otherwise she wouldn't have chosen this course of action and how else could she know how it would impact us?

We need to eventually figure out just what the fuck it is.
>>
>>39206780
She said we have our own source of magic. And if we do, the mages will want us to be a mage.
It came up when she was first looking around for us.

It'd be nice to have something more definitive about what it might be besides, "thing that's kind of eh and they'll bug you about it" and "thing that's kind of weird and they'll bug you about it" before making a straight call. Especially since she seems to know what at least the first one is pretty well.

>It would be nice to know exactly what’s going on.

“It would be nice to know exactly what’s going on,” you say, almost pointedly, “I mean you have a better idea now right?”

“More or less,” your mother admits as she thinks about it, “Basically, as a magical girl you are not actually magic, you are a fake pretending at it through the use of the contract. The contract feeds you control, you feed it energy and take magic from the world.”

“This is vastly different from mages, demons, and gods who all have innate cores,” your mother pauses to make sure you’re still following along, “They primarily generate the magic they’ll be using inside of themselves and supplement it with the magic in the world… and so we’re pretty sure you someone managed to develop such a core despite the contract being made to help prevent this.”

“Then why the noise?” you ask frowning, as you think about it.

She shrugs, “The best answer I got was, ‘it’s probably like turning on a fan and leaving it there, at first you notice it then it becomes background noise.’”

“So its probably nothing that I should be worried about then?” You furrow your brow.

Your mother gives you a strange look, “Are you not worried about becoming something not human..?”

A big transformation is what got us into all this, but we're still us. We should be fine. Besides, becoming something not-entirely human seems like one of the risks in the magical girl world, so it's not really anything new.

“I’ll still be me, so not really,” you shrug nonchalantly, “It’s not like I’m going to suddenly up and change into an entirely different person.”

“Not in the sense you mean,” your mother shakes her head, “but like I said before it’s your decision to make.”

“Yeah, I’m fine with things as they are, especially if they’ll be hounding me after taking a look at my inner bits,” you smile, enjoying your own play on words.

“Keep that up and I’ll take you to a doctor you’ve never seen before,” your mother practically threatens.

You wipe the smile from your face, “Well anyways, should the worst happen I’ve always got a wish.”

She gives you a motherly smile, that one that is equal parts happy and worried, “Well do what you think is best, and remember you can always talk to me or your father about whatever happens.”

“Thanks, mom,” you say, and sit around for a moment more, “You know, since I’m here already… its friday.”

“I don’t have my purse nearby Alex,” your mother shakes her head, “Some tact again would be nice.”

You shrug, “I know, but its easier this way. To be blunt that is.”

“If you run and grab my purse I’ll give you your half. You’ll have to talk to your father for your sisters half,” she says with a sigh, “It’s on the dresser by the door.”

“Sure,” you quickly retrieve it and return to her, and get your allowance… or at least half of it for now. You’ll have to wait for your Dad to get home to get the other half. You’re about to leave your mother after thanking her, pausing only to think of any questions you might have missed.

“Actually,” you say grabbing her attention once more, only to surprise her with a hug.

She returns the hug with a smile that you can hear in her voice, “You know you’ve become a lot more touchy lately.”

You shrug, before pulling away, “Got a problem with it?”

“Not at all, it actually is really nice to get to hug you again,” she shakes her head.

“It wasn’t that bad before, not to the point you can say that anyways,” you cross your arms across your chest defensively.

“I wonder about that…”

You frown at her, before changing the subject, “What’s Dad magic like anyways? Or is that a ‘ask him’ thing.”

“You should already know the answer to that one Alex,” she watches you for a moment, “Anything else you want to ask?”

You chew on your lip, while you think before stopping; annoyed at your bad habit, “Yeah actually should I avoid god cores in the future or is it safe to eat them?”

“You should be fine to eat them, it should have been fine to eat them,” your mother reassures you.

“Hrm, well okay then, I’ll be going now,” you give a small wave, “Don’t work too hard now.”

“Have fun Alex,” she smiles before turning back to cleaning the bathroom.

You fit half of your allowance into your wallet, making a mental note that you’re at a hundred and ten dollars now. Your parents were always generous with your allowance as long as you acted like an adult. You hum, making a mental note to grab the cash from Dad when he gets home.

”He’s probably gonna want to give it to me, since its technically mine,” Shadow Alex mentions, almost pointedly.

‘Well… we’ll cross that bridge when it happens,” you think to Shadow Alex as you head back to your room.

Beth and Kat have picked up where you left off before you went for the run, they’re nearing the end and starting to have a bit of difficulty. Mainly due to their luck if Beth’s grumbling is anything to judge by.

Beth pauses it when you shut the door, “Ah how’d the call go? It took you a while…”

“It went well, she just wants a meal,” you take a seat on your bed, realizing you probably should get some more chairs at some point or another, “It went by real quick so I got half of my allowance is all.”

“Ah, so you’re mostly loaded again?” Beth sighs, “I wish I got as much as you for allowance.”

You shrug at that, “It’s not like I don’t treat you to things often enough right..?”

“Well yeah but still,” Beth says “It’d be nice to return the favor.”

“There’s other ways to repay,” you give a wry smile.

Beth frown at the implications of what you just said, before she shakes her head breaking into a smile, “It almost sounds like you’re paying me for… well that sort of thing.”

“Nah, its nothing like that,” you wave her concerns off, “Seriously though, it’s fine I get enough for the thre- well four of us.”

“Four?” Kat asks, trying to figure out who else you mean.

“Shadow Alex, half of my current allowance is hers after all,” you explain with a shrug.

“Ah, okay,” Kat nods, and glances back to the game.

“Enjoying it?” you ask, wondering if you’ve gotten her hooked to the hobby already.

“Yeah, its fun even if its a bit hard,” she pauses, “And its really weird normally to get better at things it takes a lot of time… but not with this.”

“That’s not a bad thing,” Beth says, unsure if she’s complaining.

“I know, just… its weird,” Kat finishes with a nod.

“Well, I’m glad you’re having fun with it,” you smile, curious to see how she’ll react to other games, “Anyways I’m thinking about heading over to John’s he’s either lonely or kidnapped again by now.”

“I’m not sure how I feel about that,” Beth admits after a moment, “That you’re measuring how often you should visit him in crisis time.”

You shrug, “What can I say, a trend has been made.”

Beth frowns at that, “When did you want to go then?”

“Now,” you shrug, “or soon at the very least.”

“Yeah okay, I’m good to go,” Beth sets her controller down as Kat frowns at the both of you.

“You… don’t mind if I stay here do you?” Kat asks hesitantly.

>>
>>39220642
Fucking Mario Party...
>>
>>39220823
Is that like drunk mario party, but at an orgy?
>>
>>39221046
No, just Mario Party. The fucking part is an expression of bitterness and exasperation, not, well, fucking.

Though, the three of them and their shadows COULD play Fucking Mario Party...

>Yeah that’s fine, enjoy yourself.

“Yeah, that’s fine, enjoy yourself,” you say after a moment, “Just use the phone to call my number if you need anything, it’ll be on the notepad next to the phone.”

“... there’s a phone here?” Kat says after a moment thinking hard about it.

“Yeah, ask my mom about it,” you say, shrugging, “Or if you can’t find her, its in the office.”

“Kat,” Kat nods, “Take care?”

“You too,” you stand up and stretch, making your way towards the door.

Beth follows after, “See you later Kat, don’t let it consume you.”

Kat gives Beth an odd look, one filled with lack of understanding. You smirk and wave before making your way outside.

Beth unlocks the car, and as usual quickly turns it on, “I give it a week before she’s addicted.”

“I thought she already was,” you shrug, grinning as you buckle up.

“I’m being generous here,” Beth pulls out and starts driving to Johns.

You chuckle at that, “Maybe a bit too generous.”

“Probably,” Beth admits, she pauses before asking, “Do you really think he got in trouble again?” she sounds worried.

“Nah, just making a joke,” you watch as the park goes by, “Though if he is I’m going to strap a panic button to him.”

Beth is quiet as she thinks about that, only speaking up as you pull up to his house, “Everything’s so different since you’ve changed, we used to spend most of our time hanging out at Johns… now not so much.”

It's kinda natural, really. Even outside the magical stuff, dating means we'd be spending more time without him. And it's not been all bad, what with the morning runs and such.

Writing now

I-I have no clue what I was trying to write there or how it fucked up like that.

There was so many typo's in that post.
>>
>>39222063
I imagine you probably mean to type 'kay or okay instead of Kat. They sound similar, so I didn't even notice it at first. I only mentioned it because I thought it was amusing. Made me imagine her as not just Alex's pet, but her Meowth.

Alex: Kat, use Pay Day!

Pay Day failed!

Alive again, I have to rewrite this because it made absolutely no sense.
>>
>Does it bother you?
>It’d be easier to hand with him if he knew about you.

“Does it bother you?” you ask, looking down at yourself, “I mean I know we’re dating, and that we kind of jumped on it but I haven’t really asked how you feel about this… too much anyways.”

“... I wouldn’t say it bothers me,” Beth slowly says as she shuts the car off, “It’s more like I’m kind of getting over the shock and excitement and coming to terms with everything?”

“Is that good or bad?” You ask frowning, “I mean that sounds like it could be bad.”

“I don’t mean about us,” Beth reassures you, before turn the car back on for the AC, “I mean about you being a girl and on top of that a magical girl, plus Kat.”

“Plus Kat, Huh?” you wonder aloud, “You seem to be getting along better with her now.”

“Well, yeah,” Beth agrees, “She’s a nice girl really, once I got over you ‘keeping her as a pet,’” she snorts, “That’s really an odd thing to be told by the way.”

“It’s how I convinced Dad to let her stay,” you grin, “But I’m glad that you two aren’t butting heads anymore.”

“Yeah same, just have to get used to the change of everything else now,” Beth sighs looking towards John’s house, “Despite enjoying the relationship we have now I kind of miss hanging out like we used to with John.”

“Not to be pushy, but it’d be a lot easier to hang out with him if he knew about you,” you slowly say, not wanting to irritate her.

“I know… I was thinking about it, I mean it’s hard to go five minutes with you without some how running into that,” Beth chews on her lip, “And its not like I have that comfort zone any more since its changed so much.”

You almost feel like you should apologize but realize you really have no fault in that changing, it was more happenstance than anything.

“Maybe, I will… today I mean,” Beth says after a moment, “If his parents aren’t around I mean.”

“Yeah?” you say hopeful, “I’ll leave it to you to decide, I’m not trying to push you into it.”

“I know, but theres hardly any point in keeping quiet about it anymore,” Beth sighs again, “Well, whatever lets head inside instead of wasting gas.”

“Probably a good idea, yeah,” you agree as you climb out of the car and head for John’s door; waiting only long enough for Beth to catch up.

I think I’m calling it here, as much as I want to keep writing I am barely keeping my eyes open.

I'll continue this come Sat-Sun.

As usual thanks for playing, I'll be around for a bit to answer the usual.

And as usual here, thanks for the thread boss.
>>
>>39224978
Thanks for running! Any more special missions going to get thrown at us after what happened? (any time soon I mean)

Do Magical girls hunt magical girls outside of their given territory?
>>
>>39225027
Well that depends on what you mean by anytime soon.

But probably yeah.

for second half, occasionally
>>
>>39225149
I meant in game time, not real time. (i'm assuming time skips once we get back to school)

on a scale of 1-10 how crawling is our turf and how crawling is the inner city? (crawling means demon per head of normal.)
>>
>>39225235
Demon count to magical girl count remains about equal due to higher population per sq mile of both.

It just happens that magical girls step on each others toes more frequently in the city.
>>
>>39225367
Ever been something that causes an explosion in demon numbers that didn't involve a goddess?
>>
>>39225367
That fallen-god being didn't seem to do other godly things besides having control of darkness. Did she have any worshipper/limited omnipotence or anything related powers?

Can we make a religion? Once we eat enough god-cores of course.
>>
>>39225416
Yes, plenty of things.

>>39225602
Well, thats why she was fallen. Omnipotence is not really a thing. She had followers at some point but that fell out with time.

You could now, even as a magical girl and get things that way.
>>
>>39225687
>Yes, plenty of things.
Liiike?

Also no goddess plox it isn't chill.
>>
>>39225832
>no goddess plox it isn't chill.
Nah man, not going to force anything. If you go that route it will be entirely of your own doing.

>Liiike?
Large amounts of negative emotions, riots, wars, the great depression, a bunch of murders; all of which will create more demons of a related type.

Orgies can also do this.
>>
>>39225995
So we can create Slaanesh?
>>
>>39225995
Well that's a thing. How long does it take for said things to pop a demon?

>>39226025
You do remember what happened to the Eldar after that right?

Yo, we could be a super chill goddess. Orgies if you want, otherwise we just clean up some demons and chill with other chill people/deities.

We could be maximum chill, don't even have to worry about money or sustenance, just doing things when we feel like it or for fun.
