You take Beth and Kat on a decently long run, continuing the sprints throughout and slowing down as Beth loses the ability to keep up. Finally you head back home slowing to a fast walk, even you are a little worn out.

Beth after a couple minutes of heavy breathing, “... I should have just kept it.”

Kat stifles a laugh before grabbing her side as her eyes tear up, “Cramp, ow.”

“Serves you right, that’s what you call a god smack,” Beth says smugly.

You laugh as you arrive back home, and start going through your stretches, yawning as you do. It doesn’t take long before you all pile back into the house, sweaty and tired. You’re terribly tempted to not shower and cheat through using Shadow Alex’s closet, but the shower could be relaxing.

“Can we just call it a day here?” Beth half complains, half jokes.

“The day just began,” you say as you stretch and head for your room, “Whoever wants the shower first go for it.”

You grin, “I’m going to cheat a bit is all.”

“Body spray is not enough to clean up after a run, Alex,” Beth shakes her head.

“Obviously,” you say, furrowing your brow, “How long do you think I’ve been doing this?”

“How are you going to cheat then?” Beth gives you a confused look as you pause just before the bathroom door and your room.

“Shadow Alex has a closet of clean,” you shrug, “So I’ll take a quick nap while you shower and get clean at the same time.”

”It’s not cheating, definitely didn’t break anything to get this,” Shadow Alex defends her closet, ”At least I don’t think we did…”

“I’m… not sure how I feel about that,” Beth says after a moment, before glancing at Kat, “Want to just shower together?”

Kat looks at you with an envious look, “... yeah okay,” she says to Beth as they both head into the bathroom.

”Maybe they should shimmy up close to their shadow then,” Shadow Alex sounds smug, as you mop up as much sweat as you can with your shirt.

You climb into bed, staying on top of your blankets and laying down, the recent workout easing you into sleep quickly.

When you open your eyes again you see that you’re in Shadow Alex’s room with her draping off of you, ”I’m glad your activity doesn’t affect me too much.”

You lean on Shadow Alex in return, realizing again just how comfortable people are, “Yeah?” you ask really just idling for a moment.

”No, I’m just as tired as you are always,” Shadow Alex says in an uncharacteristically serious tone, before shaking her head with a grin as she pulls away, ”Really though, I won’t lie to myself it’d be pointless for both of us.”

With a smile you say, “Well its not like people don’t do it all the time or anything.”

Shadow Alex shrugs, ”Yeah, but thats not so intentional.”

“I guess,” you say after you walk into the closet and feel immensely cleaner than before, in all honesty you doubt showering would work anywhere near as well.

You stretch as you head for the bed, plopping down on it, you realize you can’t even hear the noise any more and that Shadow Alex’s foam bubble is off to the side, “It died down then?”

She follows your gaze, ”Ah, yep sometime when we were sleeping,” she says before laying next to you.

“That’s good I think, not sure if you heard but Mom found things out,” you cuddle up next to her.

Shadow Alex nods, ”Yeah, don’t forget to bug her about allowance. It’s friday and all.”

“Ah, that’s right,” you smile with that realization, “We were getting low on cash.”

”Because you spent it all in like two places,” Shadow Alex huffs, ”Beth still has yet to use those cuffs too…”

“Not much I can do about that,” you shrug, ignoring the first half of that.

”We could just be really bad, you know?” Shadow Alex’s lips curl into a smile.

“In what way though, because Beth gets mad at us pretty frequently, you know?” you point out, thinking about how often you’re a touch reckless.

Shadow Alex shrugs, ”I’ll think on it.”

The two of you fall into silence, as you just enjoy resting for a bit. It’s still a little odd cuddling with someone that looks exactly like you.

“So, how do you feel about…” you frown realizing its a bit awkward to phrase this, “Well how I refer to us, like sometimes I say we’re the same and others that we’re a different person..”

Shadow Alex thinks for a moment, before shrugging, ”Both are right?”

You chuckle, “That’s plenty helpful in making my mind up.”

You let out a sigh, “Also can we really only fit one person in here? Or if we needed to escape could we get more?”

Shadow Alex frowns at the sudden question, ”I might be able to stretch it with some shadow credits, but we would probably feel all sorts of weird for a few days.”

“Weird how?” you furrow your brow as you try to picture what she means.

”I don’t know, stretched maybe?” Shadow Alex suggests, ”Maybe like a pulled muscle.” both of you grimace at that suggestion.

“Well, its good to know it’d probably be possible,” you say after a moment, before feeling a ghost sensation of being shaken.

”Looks like it’s time to go,” Shadow Alex says with a sad smile, she hugs you tight. You start to say something but stop yourself and instead return the hug.

When Shadow Alex lets go you find yourself waking up to a refreshed looking Kat, who’s sitting on top of your stomach shaking your shoulders gently. She gives a victorious smile, “How was your nap?”

You feel plenty refreshed, surprising since it should have been like ten minutes, “Pretty good, how about your shower?”

Kat flushes, “... good, better with you though,” she admits the last half quietly.

You smile widely at that, “You don’t say?”

She nods, and climbs off of you, letting you get up.

“Actually where is Beth?” You ask, realizing you don’t see your girlfriend.

“She’s getting dressed,” Kat’s eyes follow you as you sit up, “I beat her out and tossed this on quickly,” she sounds almost smug.

You glance down at yourself and realize while you slept Shadow Alex must have changed your clothes, considering you’re wearing jeans and one of those elastic shirts that show your curves.

“What was it a race to see who woke me up?” you ask as Beth opens up the door.

“It wasn’t until Kat made it one,” Beth grumbles a bit, her hair is a mess… its an okay look but brushed straight hair looks better on her you think. She’s wearing short shorts and T-shirt that fits a little loose on her.

You smile and climb out of bed, “So you lost before you even knew it.”

Kat almost looks smug as she sits in the computer chair.

“Something like that,” Beth gives Kat a half hearted dirty look.

You stretch, feeling your tired muscles strain, “Hey I’ll be right back. I really should make this phone call and see what Summer wants for her favor.”

“If she wants to have sex tell her no,” Beth gives you a stern look.

My bad, I tend to write options that feel appropriate, based off prior actions. This is likely why I get a lot of 'select every' votes.

The other side of this is I kind of am absent minded by the end of the update as I get in a hurry to post it because I realize its been an hour or so.

I will make a conscious effort to fix this in future updates.

You nod in agreement to both Beth and Shadow Alex.

Kat has taken to blushing, and is looking between you and Beth.

Beth quietly nods, taking your place on the bed.

Kat waves, no longer trying to look small, “Have fun!”

“It’s not like I’m going on a trip,” you laugh as you head for the back yard, not wanting to be rude to anyone.

You step back out into the hot summer air, pulling out your phone that Shadow Alex was kind enough to put in your pocket at some point, and call Summer.

“Nah nothing like that, just was calling to see what you wanted in return,” you say, taking a seat in one of the patio chairs.

Summer hums, “I really should have been thinking about this before. I mean I had something in mind but it slipped my mind..” she pauses, “Anything you won’t do?”

“Unreasonable things,” you say with a smile, fully aware she can’t see you.

“Thats pretty vague,” Summer complains, “but whatever… I guess just treat me to a nice dinner and we’ll call it even?”

“That’s surprisingly tame,” you comment, “Mind if I cook it?”

“Well you called me before lunch so I’ve got food on my mind, and a nice meal sounds good,” Summer says defensively, “And only if you’re decent at cooking, I guess.”

“If we went out, I take it you have an idea of where you want to go?” you ask, doubting you’ll take her out somewhere nice.

“Not really, though it’d have to be nicer than the average diner, otherwise you’d be getting off scott free,” Summer casually says.

“You care when it happens?” You ask, realizing just how easy she’s letting you get off.

“Anytime thats not lunch today, I can already smell food,” Summer says, “Honestly I didn’t expect you to follow through and I was just going to lord it over you for a while.”
