Hey guys, how have you been? let me know when you pop in and we will start.

Before you ask, I did not go to the capital yet. Why, you ask? because I live in Chile, land of natural disasters and got hit by 3 floods and 2 forest fires, cutting the roads off. My doctor's appointment had to be rescheduled and im still waiting to hear back from them on that.

Last time on the thread, our baby elf brother, Arpen, was born after a easy delivery, and we were learning spelltricks with Aritsu to change the materials and elements of our party members weapons.

Didn't we also get ninja honey fairies?
Will Zoe dress them up in tiny versions of the Shadow uniform?

Will the Miel Hegemony be able to afford a giant rock-it freighter that it can turn into a mobile capital, like Laputa?
We already encouraged/bullied Miel into expanding the Hegemony to create a network of Hives across the plains, both to help the nomads with rest stops and as a surveillance network for when the demons arrive.
Can we have some of the Honey Fairies trained as Craftsmen to build rock-it cores into these new Hives, so that they have an easy form of escape when they get attacked by [ERROR]'s?
>>
>>39089479
Hello, good to see ya, sorry about your appointment.
>>
>>39089728
eh, its Chile. We suffer earthquakes monthly, pretty much. Pretty resilient folks, you know? a 4.something hits haiti and it dissapears, needs the entire world to help them rebuild and they suffer hundreds of thousands of deaths. A 8.something hits Chile and we have 1 (famous, sadly) 100+ years old bridge collapse (it was mostly just part of the scenery by now) and an old lady dies from heart attack.

Well, I heard she was a german resident that moved to Chile, so, you know, it happens.

Anyway, the flood scared us for a bit because one of my uncles lived right where the flood hit and he was MIA for a couple of days but he was rescued eventually, having survived inside his buried car.

But, all this shit meant that the roads were cut so I couldnt travel. Anyway, lets starts...

>>39089741
>Will Zoe dress them up in tiny versions of the Shadow uniform?
That sounds adorable, lets go with it

>Will the Miel Hegemony be able to afford a giant rock-it freighter that it can turn into a mobile capital, like Laputa?
I dont think it would have to all that big... something like a lifeboat rockit would be enough for the main hive. Maybe a small speed boat?

And having the hives equipped with rockit cores sounds hilarious. Bear attacks for honey. The hive just rises 20 feet up into the air.

Actually that may be the default height. Its not like it would be a problem for its flying inhabitants.

Holy shit! Well, at least they didn't hit YOU and thus are still alive, but... Fuck. 3 floods and 2 fires on top of that, I feel damn sorry for the people who were in the way of that. It'd make me think God had a particular distaste for my neck of the woods in particular, hence pic.
>>

That weather luck sucks, but i guess when you are near the ocean on huge volcanic mountains, it is a risk.

At least Chile is one of the better off of the South American countries, so sounds like you are adapted better. Could be in Peru, Bolivia or some others.
>>
>>39089888
>I dont think it would have to all that big
But we must consider future growth!
I want Miel to give us many, many daughters, and plenty of room for them to expand.
>>
>>39089967
It was right after an earthquake too, but we don't really count those on Chile. The problem was, the quake cut communications so the internet, the phone and even the tv was dead for about 48 hours when the floods struck, so people couldnt ask for help and it took a while for the rest of the country to find out something had happened.

btw: the previous week we had some volcanic eruptions so we had to evacuate the tourists. Because since they aren't chileans, they could have been at risk.

I'm not even joking.

Aritsu was demonstrating her metamorphic blade spell trick again.

The elven princess was casting on Lyann's spear, turning it into various elements in turn.

"How long does this last?" -asks the redhead
"Usually about 20 minutes. It would be less if it was pure energy instead of materials. You know, such as cold, fire, electricity..."
"Wait, the whole weapon, or just the tip? My spear's body is wood, what will happen if you turn the tip into fire?"
"It will be alright."
"R-really?"
"Yes, let me show you..."

Eldric was having some fruit juice while watching the girls talk and practice.

The day was quite sunny, and summer was making its presence felt, with a dry, blazing heat that was just barely bearable in the fresh rear garden.

"Ellie, you don't need to look after us, you know?" -Eldric was worried about seeing Ellie moving around and doing housechores the day right after giving birth, but honestly, this world's mentality wasn't that indulging, and she would have found being forced to rest, tiresome and strange.

A few dozen feet away, Stella was eating cookies while sitting on the grass in a white summer dress, playing with Elysia and Fredrick as they crawled around on the garden.

Zoe was inside the house, looking after our newest aby brother. Or rather, napping with him.

heh, that reminds me that bolivia made us all raise en eyebrown recently when they declared that the peace treaty we had going on for 111 years now was invalid because it was signed at the end of the war, and therefore they were forced to it as the losing part of the war.

So... basically every single peace treaty ever signed by two countries at the end of a war was invalid? they actually said they did not recognize it as valid, thus we are still at war. A cold war of sorts, I guess.

Jesus christ, then, is Japan and the US still at war? after all, japan surrendered and signed the peace treaty right after being nuked, so they, too, signed under duress, right?

As the week passes, our family grows more and more familiar with Aritsu. Stella and Zoe knew her already, of course, but they did not really talk to her much before now.

Somehow, nobody ever expected Stella to join the chess club, and Zoe is a member of the "helping at home" club, so they only ever talked to her from time to time.

Every night, dad has us escort Aritsu back to the university dormitory after dinner, so we run into Lazard quite often as he accidentally happens to be waiting by the doors every night.

Reaching mastery of Aritsu's spell trick allowed Eldric to change the material of weapons in his party into anything he could cast.

"What are you doing?" -Lyann sits next to him on the floor of his bedroom while he reads thanks to the light of his everbright candle.

Lyann looks at him for a moment, then gets up, her soft feet making no noise as she leaves the room for a few minutes, and comes back with her ankle cuffs.

"You are just 17, why does that worries you?"
"....it feels odd being older than you..."
"I did not know it bothered you that much. Besides, you would still be older, right?"
"But it wouldn't be as obvious... I think... I want you to catch up first" -she says softly

The lovely redhead gives him a bright smile as she smooches him again, sweetly.

"At least until the ERRORS are dealt with, alright?" -she says softly as she blishes
"...alright" -then he adds- "But that's hardly worth writing a thesis about."

She pulls her feet back to the sides of her hips while sitting next to him and fixes her skirt, then seems to think about it for a bit.

"How about temporal curses, or compulsions?"
"Such as?"
"A medicine... wait, would it rather count as a poison... let's say poison. A poison that forces you to repeat a task for a couple of hours. Wouldn't that be useful for students and training warriors?"

>I don't think that would be good
I think the temporary Undeath to stop the Death Countdown is better.
>>
>>39090872
True but at the same time if everyone else gets wiped out well, support's totally fucked. If one part of the party goes, the other follows shortly thereafter.

Now, if we could, or rather, she could choose to activate life sharing if she's bone dry in the mana department and still had to "heal" someone it could be helpful. Never a bad idea to have those emergency powers you'd rather not have to use.

>>39091206
Hmmm... not sure if good idea. Ignoring the obviously immoral applications the problem would be the abuse of the most insidious kind.

I mean, if you "need" that poison to study regularly or maintain your training regiment and whatnot then you're really just lazy and compensating for a lack of a positive character trait. As most people are like that (i.e. have few if any positive character traits) society itself would eventually become dependent upon those poisons and if the supply ever dried up for some reason such a society would quickly collapse on a global scale.

Such an event would threaten the entirety of the sentient population. To risk it, no matter how high or good the goal is, is utterly foolish.

Sometimes people need the obvious to be stated. Kirk wouldn't have gotten as far as he did without Spock doing pretty much exactly that to him on a regular basis. There's no need for hostilities man.

Unrelated, but anybody else reading the Legendary Moonlight Sculptor? ive only been able to find summaries of it past volume 23

Anyway, so you guys want to go with the temporaƱ undeath thing? tho im not sure how that would work.

Temporal weakness to [holy]. absorbs [unholy] and gives a enhanced version of the [zombie] debuff for five minutes?

btw the thread wont be too long today because its my bday so im going to get kidnapped by friends later
>>
>>39091440
You're just being Captain Obvious here, and it's not helping anything.
And Spock stating the obvious was usually followed with an actual suggestion on a course of action, as well as simply being a narrative device to keep the audience informed of the action or the shift in the scene.
Something which doesn't apply here.
>>
>>39091538
>tho im not sure how that would work.
Stops the Death Counter, or allows a person to rise up as an undead until the curse gets lifted.
Weaknesses to [Holy] and maybe to [Fire].

It's mostly meant as a quick and cheap alternative to Angel Tears.
>>
>>39091620
my question is how would you urn them from being undead back to the living.
>>
>>39091676
Make the status effect [Undead] tied to the cursed item. When removed, the status effect also goes away.
>>
>>39091752
wouldn't that turn the person into a monster with no control over them self
>>
>>39091538
That too. It's every man's dream to relive the adventures of Captain Kirk with a solid crew at their back, tis why everyone has such a hard on for space exploration. There are hot alien babes waiting for us out there. We feel this to be true, and we're saddened that we're not up there getting our piece of the action yet.

>>39091620
Isn't there already a way to stop the death counter though? I thought necromancers could do it and Dawn's was suspended in that tower. If we could tie that spell to an item that activates upon death we'd have the desired result.
>>
>>39091801
It shouldn't, since it's not the [Berserk] status effect.
The normal [Zombie] effect we saw was a weakness to [Holy] and an ability to get back up after the Death Counter gets to zero so long as a party member is still alive.

It's not just about stopping the Death Counter, but to also give the target the ability to get back up and continue the fight, so that they can get the entire party out of the dungeon.
>>
>>39091826
>If we could tie that spell to an item that activates upon death we'd have the desired result.
Except that's not going to be too productive for us when our thesis is Beneficial Curses.
Just pointing out the obvious.
>>
>>39091892
alright i just wanted to have this fleshed out so i know what its going to do.
>>
>>39091956
At least, we can have King clarify the [Zombie] debuff, and if we need to craft a modified version of the debuff for use in our curse.
>>
so what we done or not.
>>
Sorry for taking so long to reply, a friend arrived and we got into talking while we wait for the others.

Yeah, what's more, Stella has been forcing Zoe to suspend the counter on anything she catches so she can squeeze more meat out of it. Like when she caught a shark and cooked the whole thing instead of just some loot.

>>39091998
[Zombie] just makes you "count as" undead so you get the reverse effect of medicines. You get poisoned by antidotes, hurt by heals, and dealt heavy damage by ress spells, which is why its a useful status to throw unto your enemies.

Sure, but how do we get to that? im thinking that, in-game, we study a vampire for a while to examine how to turn somebody into an undead (albeit temporarily) with the typical weakness of the zombie status. How would this new status be called, vampire? sounds sort of too in your face, no? also, would probably need hp drain upon hit. Maybe an added weakness to holy? like x2 weakness, to compensate?

"I am studying about the way undead respawn themselves in combat. You know, like how Asmund does" -says Eldric as Lyann leans over slightly to look over his shoulder
"Do you think that will be useful? I mean, you can't heal, and if you have time to swallow a pill of potion, don't you have time to get a healing spell?"
"Not everyone has a healer available"
"I guess so... are we going to go hunting for zombies, then?"
