>Thread times and updates posted here: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

>Quest is usually ran on Saturday starting at 3:30PM

Your name is Shirley Fenette and you’re finally home...in a sense.

The homeland isn't quite what you remember it to be, but considering it's size, how long it’s been since you stepped anywhere resembling the homeland, and how the past weeks if not months has just been one big string of tragedies and betrayals, you're just happy that the ground beneath your feet doesn't split open to swallow you whole at this point.

You've been walking down the highway since the illegal plain touched down in the middle of the night. The sun rose just a couple of minutes ago and since you don't have a watch, all you can do to judge how much time as past is how much your feet hurt.

"I thought you couldn't be killed? Doesn't it seem to be a bit childish to be complaining over how your feet hurt?" Rolo pipes up and you can't help but jump a little in surprise.

"Woah, you can't read minds can you!?" You ask the question with surprising hostility and fear, fear Rolo seems to take notice of as he turns back and smiles at you.

"Don't be ridiculous. You just said it out loud, you tend to mutter to yourself when you're thinking I've noticed."

You glare back at the chocolate assassin and wonder why the idea of someone reading your mind seems so...frightening.

>(1/2)

and then we start clapping for some unknown reason
>>
JIBUUUUN WOOOOOOO

Did Crosswire ever confirm that Mao is really dead in this continuity? I imagine team clapping could do some wonderful things to C.C. and Lelouche's poker faces do if he somehow turns out to be alive

We have illegal flying field?
Can we crash it into Zero?
>>
>>39010381
No it was an illegal airline, and we don't know where Zero is. Also a plane crash might actually kill us. We're in Brittainia looking for the Avalon.
>>
>>39010176
However the pain in the back of your feet kills your thoughts and you walk up and smack Rolo on the back of the head.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"For making fun of me for complaining about how my feet hurt. I think I've gone through more then enough physical and emotional pain to complain about whatever the hell I want. Besides the shoes Nemo gave me absolutely suck. Regeneration or not I don't think there's going to be anything left of the back of my feet to heal if this keeps up..."

You stop briefly, cars rushing past and throwing your hair around with brief blasts of wind, all while you tug on the back of the cheap sneakers that encase your feet. Gunshot wounds, shrapnel, and starvation don't seem that bad when compared to having the skin of your feet grinded off by plastic and cotton fibers through the fabric of your own socks.

"Well then maybe we should stop if it hurts that much? Or maybe you can try hitching a ride again? With the war escalating people are probably too on edge to help regular hitchhikers. However you're an attractive young girl, I'm sure there are plenty of drivers who will at least stop to look at you..."

"What's that supposed to mean?" You ask, blushing slightly as the chocolate assassin turns around and gives you a nonplussed look.

"You're a girl. You have parts I, thankfully, don't have. Use them to get us a ride to the nearest city."

You sigh, face still red from the embarrassment and the steadily increasing heat. As cars continue to rush on by you think on what to do...

As embarrassing and uncomfortable as it might be, you have to admit that Rolo has a point. You have a better chance at making cars stop to pick the two of you up if you're the one sticking your thumb out opposed to Rolo.

Turning to face the road you undo the top buttons of the white button up shirt Nemo gave you to wear to expose some of your cleavage. As you do so you can't help but imagine Milly trying to reach up and grope them like she always did back at Ashford.

With your face red with embarrassment you take a moment to steel yourself before smiling and sticking your thumb out, intentionally leaning over so passers by can get a good look at your...goods.

Nope only that we didn't kill him for some reason. We attributed it to our weakness at that time.

Yes, We've been implanted with Cc cells, our hair is turning green, our eyes our yellow, rolo cut our throat so now we sound like C.C. Dr.Pailsen betrayed us and sold us to kallen''s Dad who ahs a geass and took over Pulton, we escaped and ran into an amnesiac Nunnally who calls her self Nemo, who has a geassed voice which is similar to her brother's gaze, We're in mainland Britaaina avoiding Zero's people' Pluton's people and the Geass cult's people. Rolo is now a party member due to Nemo Geass voicing him to not harm people.

The screeching roar of tires on asphalt splits the air not mere seconds after your thumb, and chest, are stuck out into the road. A sleek blue and white sports car that probably cost at least a hundred thousand pounds screeches to a sudden and almost violent halt.

As the driver rolls down the windows, the cars behind him swerve into other lanes or slam on the breaks, coming mere inches from colliding with the sleek machine and narrowly avoiding an accident.

Once the windows are down a dashing blond haired boy, roughly around your age, sticks his head out the window with a ridiculous grin on his face. His stunning blue eyes stare at you and as you look back it's hard to tell just what part of your body he's interested in...

"Hey there pretty lady! Need a lift?"

"Yeah, could you take us to Seattle or at least a rest stop down the road..."

"Seattle? Why what a coincidence I'm heading there too! Hop on in and I'll take you two there in no time flat."

You smile in amusement as the blond guy slaps the top of his car and climbs inside, but Rolo just shoots you a worried look. Before you can ask what's the matter the blond man ushers you and Rolo inside.

As soon as the door is closed and the two of your are buckled up, with you in the front and Rolo in the back, the car begins to speed down the road with no thought to the speed limit or rules of the road.

"So what's your name sweet stuff? And who's the kid? Are you two siblings?"

The blond man looks to you, still smiling friendly as always, his hands gliding across the steering wheel and maneuvering the car through traffic with so little effort you briefly wonder if the car is actually driving itself...

You hesitate for a moment, tempted to lie about your name practically on reflex. However you remember all the trouble you had before with your different names and decide to just be straight up with the guy, at least about your names anyway.

"My name is Shirley, Shirley Fenette. This is Rolo, he's my little brother." You gesture back to Rolo, who just frowns back at you, apparently un-amused at your claim.

"Ah, so I was right!" The boy slaps his knee and grins, still not so much as glancing at the road as he maneuvers the car through traffic and stares at you.

"My name is Gino, Gino Weinberg! It's a pleasure to meet you!" He takes his hands off the wheel and puts up a friendly handshake.

"Uh, shouldn't you be paying attention to the road?" You point out and Gino just laughs.

"Are you kidding me? Driving a car is a breeze compared to piloting a Knightmare." Gino says as he puts his knees on the steering wheel and begins to drive the car with his hands behind his head.

You can't help but get a little nervous as Gino begins to speed up. Immortal or not you'd rather not get in a car crash.

"So Gino, uh, are you in the military?" You ask, trying to keep your mind off the road.

"Yes I am. I'm on leave at the moment, though I don't know how long that'll last. The war is getting pretty nasty and it's only a matter of time before I get called to the battlefield." Gino's grin gets bigger as he mentions the world 'battlefield' and his eyes seem to light up a bit.

"The fighting is gonna be pretty bad, but it's a perfect chance for guys like me to prove themselves! I bet in a couple months I could be a Knight of the Round!"

"Well I hope you're more careful with a Knightmare then you are a car, or you might end up dead..." You comment and Gino looks to you, a little surprised.

"Are you in the military, Shirley?"

"Huh? What makes you ask that?" For a moment you feel a tinge of worry. This Gino fellow might be working for Pluton or maybe even the Geass Directorate...

"No real reason, besides your beautiful looks you seem to hold yourself like a lot of people I've served with in the military do. If you are then that's great, we have something in common! If you're not then maybe you should consider enlisting, it's the only way to make a name for yourself these days..."

"Oh? What branch? You're a Knightmare pilot, aren't you? Aren't you? Huh? Huh?"

Instead of growing suspicious or showing any of the telltale signs of malicious intent, Gino just beams like a moron and begins to nudge you with his elbow, like a grade schooler try to get a girl to admit she likes something gross.

"Yes I am. I'm apart of the Special Envoy Engineer Corp stationed aboard that flying ship, the Avalon."

"Oh, I've heard about that ship. Isn't it the one where that crackpot earl is having that Eleven guy pilot his prototype machine? I heard the Knightmare is pretty sweet, if something of a death trap..."

"Yep. That same ship. Problem is I had a bit of an...accident and got totally separated from them. Now I have no idea where they are and if I'm missing for too long I'll get in trouble for going AWOL! If you could help me find them then I'd reeeeeally appreciate it." You admit, clasping your hands together as you speak.

Gino goes silent for a moment, as if considering his options, but that smile of his never leaves his face and soon he raises both his hands, giving you two thumbs up.

"How could I say no to you? I wouldn't be Knightly material if I just up and left a beautiful girl like you out to dry. I'm sure I can get you back to your ship, but do you know where it is?" You bite your lower lip and shake your head, with Gino looking at you in disbelief.

"How in the world do you not know where your ship is or was headed? I mean it's a giant flying ship and last I checked the only one of it's kind. It's not like you can just lose it or get it mixed up with something else!"

"Woah, woah, woah, no need to go into so much detail Shirley. We've only just met and while I appreciate being open, I don't think you want me to know all the kinky stuff you're into right away." Gino's smile returns and your face goes red, the urge to smack him upside the head is quite tempting...

"W-what!? That's not what I meant! It wasn't like that at all!"

"Oh, sure it wasn't. I won't ask if you don't tell Shirley."

Gino just laughs, his voice high and musical like a child's. You go silent for a minute to regain your composure but Gino speaks first.

"Alright, so you have no idea where the Avalon is and you need to get back to it. I assume since you're walking that you can't fly and don't have magical teleportation powers, so you probably don't have a reliable way there. So first we need to find where the Avalon is and then we need to get you there, preferably without anyone noticing. Right?"

"Yeah." You nod. "There's a lot of people who would be really upset if they found out where I was right now..."

"I understand, but that's love for you. So my only question is do you want me to get you there, or do you want to go there yourself? Personally I'd like to come along for the ride..."

(Sorry for the delay)
“Uh, sure I guess. As long you don’t think you’ll get into trouble,” You’re tempted to say no, tempted to just leave him and avoid having to put trust in anyone else. However there’s something about Gino’s beamish attitude and childishness that really puts you at ease, probably for the first time since you learned to fire a gun.

“Well I don’t know if I can pull this off without getting into at least a liiiiitle bit of trouble. We’ll need to go to the air base I’m stationed at here in Seattle. I’ll have to slip you two in, which shouldn’t be too hard. Then I’ll need to strike up some buds of mine for information about where the Avalon is located, and then I’ll need to get us a ride. So I’ll be breaking a few rules, but my CO is pretty lack and I’ve weaseled out of worse.”

“We’re not going to steal anything, are we?” You ask, not liking the idea of getting into a dog fight over Seattle air space in a stolen plane.

“Don’t be ridiculous. It’s not stealing if you’re supposed to test it out anyway. I’ll just be doing it a bit early, and bringing a few guests along for the ride...and going waaaaay of the flight plan.”

Gino chuckles to himself at his description of probably violating a dozen military regulations and rules, but he seems like he'll be able to pull it off so you decide to put your trust in him.

An hour or two pass and Gino's car eventually arrives in Seattle, cruising through the streets at a much saner speed with police cars patrolling by regularly. His car arrives at the gate and he rolls down the window to speak with the guard...

There's a quiet exchange between Gino and the guard and you're quickly ushered through, despite not being in uniform and having a young boy in the back seat.

"What did you tell the guy to let us through?" You ask and Gino looks to you with an amused expression.

"Oh I just told him I was bringing my new girlfriend and her little brother to the base to show off and that you happen to have an older sister who's really into military men..."

"I see, how cute." You roll your eyes and shakes his head before pausing.

"Wait, you don't have an older sister do you?"

"Nope. I'm an only child."

"Aw crap, I was hoping the lie would at least be partly true. Now have to get him drunk one of these days..."

Gino finds a place to park and steps out of the car.

"I'm going to get the information and snag a spare uniform or two so you and your brother won't look as suspicious walking around here. We can get our ride together, but I only have one question...can I drive?"

"Well what are we piloting?" You ask and Gino grins.

"It's a Knightmare, but it's also kind of an air craft. It's a bit complicated but ether way it's pretty cool. I can understand if you want me to pilot, seeing how I know more about the craft and how I'm probably a better pilot and all..."

>You want to Pilot! You need to show Gino you're not a push over when it comes to Knightmares.

You’re tempted to flex your piloting skills by demanding to see a manual and fly a machine you’re completely unfamiliar with to show how capable you are. However given the situation you decide it’s best to let Gino fly so you can meet up with the Avalon and make sure the others are alright without fear of an accident or needless complication.

Besides, if Gino does intend to stick around with you it’s only a matter of time before you get into another fight or have the two evil cabals chasing after you again. You’ll have plenty of time to show your stuff later.

“You can pilot Gino, I just want to get to the Avalon before anything else happens…”

“Don’t worry Shir, I’ll get you back to the ship in no time flat!” Gino runs off and you’re left with Rolo by the car.

He turns to you, looking displeased but doesn't say anything.

"Is something the matter? Do you know something about Gino?"

"Him? Not really, but he's on a list of potential candidates for Knight of the round. I'm more concerned with your earlier comment."

"What? About you being my brother?" You ask. "I didn't think it was a big d-"

"No. You contradicted yourself when Gino asked you about having a sister, you said you were an only child..."

You grimace at the realization and quietly hope that Gino hadn't picked up on it. "Shit, I didn't realize..."

"Well try to keep things straight, alright? If I'm going to follow you around we might as well keep our cover story straight."

"Right, right..."

Minutes later Gino comes back dressed in standard Britannian military fatigues carrying a pair of uniforms.

"I found out where the Avalon is. Apparently it's still somewhere around Hawaii, been given orders to help our troops stop the Black Knights from fortifying the island. It should be pretty easy to find, just look for the explosions in the sky!" Gino cheerfully cracks jokes but you can't help but frown at the news.

"How exactly did Zero take Hawaii anyway? Last time I checked the Black Knights didn't have any Knightmares that could operate under water. How did they fight through our navy so fast?" You ask and Gino's smile shrinks a bit.

"Well I don't know all the details, but apparently the Black Knights do have Knightmares that operate underwater, Modified versions of those Gekka things that with that flying battle ship of their's and some EU subs managed to really do a number to the fleet we had there. Then Zero managed to set off volcano and...well a lot of people died."

"A volcano? Zero set off a volcano?" You look to Gino, hoping he's kidding but he shakes his head.

"No, he actually set off at least a dozen smaller ones to cause a large scale eruption..."

You grit your teeth, failing to hide your anger. You quickly get dressed into the uniform given to you and motion to Gino.

"Alright, show me where this machine of yours is. I want to get to Hawaii as soon as possible..."

Gino looks at you concerned but nods and leads you and Rolo to a hanger where a strange machine sits. It looks vague like a jet, but you can see the joints and sensors that wouldn't belong anywhere but on a Knightmare. Rolo looks at it too, intrigued by it's design.

"That's the Bradford. It's a prototype transformable Knightmare capable of flight. It uses plasma engines instead of the float system, so it's not as maneuverable in the air, but it's capable of long distance travel when it's installed with an extended energy filler." Gino explains as he looks around the hanger and grins.

"We're going to need to install that filler unless you want our trip to be very, very short. I'm going to need your help if we want to make this fast and get out of here quickly..."

"Alright. I'm not too familiar with Knightmare mechanics, but it's just installing a different energy filler, it can't be that hard..."

Your inexperience installing the extended energy filler bites you in the ass and hard, as you not only delay it's installation trying to help but you nearly cause the rather large energy filler to explode more then once. Gino is surprisingly understanding at your mistakes, though his laughs get a LOT more nervous when he has to jump in and stop you from killing yourself and everyone else in the hanger.

The extended filler is eventually installed and the moment it's done you breath a sigh of relief. For a moment you think your luck is about to change...only to hear the flicking of a gun behind you.

"Freeze!"

You turn around and you see a pair of security officers decked out in full body armor standing at the mouth of the hanger entrance, guns raised and trained on you and Gino.

"Shirley Fenette, you are under arrest for treason against the Empire! Get on your hands and knees and surrender yourself or you WILL be shot!"

"Hey, hey, hey! There's got to be some mistake here. What has this girl done wrong?" Gino looks to you with concern and you shrug your shoulders, confused.

One of the soldiers fires his weapon, striking Gino in the thigh with a single 'pop' of his machinegun, flooring the blond haired pilot who grasps his leg in pain.

"Aggggh! What the hell, what did I do?!"

"By assisting this traitor, you have become an accomplice to her crimes!" One of the guards yells and you can hear the sound of footsteps in the distance, no doubt other soldiers coming to investigate...

"What are my crimes!?" You demand.

"Treason, you should know what you did. The Emperor himself has issued orders for your capture and execution."

"WHAT!?"

You stare in disbelief at the soldiers, wondering for a moment if you'd heard them incorrectly.

You fan feel the piston revolver in your back pocket, but the guards guns are trained on you. By the time you grab it you and Gino are as good as dead. Looking around you try to find Rolo and spy him hiding behind a large rack of parts just to the side of the guards.

Rolo can't kill anyone, but his power, maybe he could use it to do something to the guards? With your mind racing and surrender not even coming to mind, you think on what to do.

(Alright, its a tie. Gonna flip a 1d2, 1 is shouting to Rolo to use his Geass and the other is motioning for him to make a distraction...)
>>
>>39017908
That's actually... reasonable? If I'm not mistaken Charles and Mariane were kinda strange at caring about their own children ffs, so who knows, maybe in some strange way the Emperor is trying to help us.
Or maybe it's just the fact that he needs a second code to activate the sword of akasha and CC is kiiiinda not available at the moment, lel.
>>

>>39017908
You forget the head of the Geass cult, who wants us dead. Is his brother didn't you?
>>
>>39018097
Acting behind Charles back? He wants to die that badly huh.
Well, okay, we'll help him soon enough. WE'll HELP EVERYONE BY MAKING THEM DISAPPEAR, AHAHAHAHAaaa

You stare down the guards, a smile spreading across your face as the overwhelming urge to kill them takes over. Raising your hands over your head in mock surrender, you motion to Rolo who puts his shoulder against and knocks over a large stack of scrap metal.

The scrap hits the floor and startles the two guards, causing them to turn their backs to you and allowing you to draw your pistol, take aim, and fire...

Too bad, we're already considered one.
And by the way, what are we going to do now? I mean, it's not like anyone we know, on the Avalon or not, can clear up this "misunderstanding" easily...

That is several magnitudes too far for RANDOM CHANCE!

We rolled 1
I excepted V.V. to show himself with group of geass users and support of twenty knightmares after we killed everyone in vicinity in giant explosion of fire and having to survive out until we regen fully and knife all of them

did you expect something good to happen when we rolled that 1?

Suuuuuure, Crosswire controls the dicegods.

No I expected something reasonable, like say a penalty to rolls for a while not make an enemy of a superpower!
>>
>>39018594
I'd bet we were already considered a traitor, that 1 only allowed the guards enough time to catch us
>>
>>39018594
We were already an enemy of said superpower. The 1 just let them find us right now instead of later.

No we where the enemy of some Illuminati types that had SOME power in britania not the whole of britania.

Said Illuminati are lead by the Emperor's brother. It's not too much of a stretch to think he could get a warrant put out on us.

The Piston Revolver is old and probably wouldn't do squat if it hit the guards armor, but the guards legs prove to be poorly armored from behind and you’re able to unload two pistol shots each into their soft fleshy legs and floor them. As soon as the guards collapse to the ground, blood leaking from their legs, Rolo runs over and disarms them, snatching the weapons from their hands before they can fire them in pain ridden panic.

As soon as the guards are dead you move over to Gino, using your shirt to hastily wrap his wounded leg up to stop the bleeding.

"Are you OK?" You ask and Gino nods his head, biting back the pain of the wound as you drag him over to the Bradford.

"You're in no condition to fly, I'm going to have to pilot the Bradford. Do you think you can talk me through it?" You ask, motioning for Rolo to open the cockpit after he's finished disarming the guards.

"Yeah, I think so...but please, be honest with me. What did you do?" Gino looks to you and you shake your head.

"Nothing. I haven't committed any crimes against the Empire, I've been nothing but loyal. This is a set up." You help Gino into the Knightmare which thankfully turns out to be a two seater, a cramped two seater that has to fit three people.

Putting Gino into the back seat, you take the front seat with Rolo sitting in your lap. It's a tight fit, but you get the cockpit closed and begin starting up the Knightmare.

"I'm going to believe you..." Gino breaths, as the screens light up in front of you and the controls become active. "Because if you were guilty you would have just left me to die..."

Gino instructs you on how to start up the engines and soon the Bradford is rolling out the hanger, with armed guards and Knightmares visible in the distance. Peeling out onto the runway you gain speed and take off, taking to the air and heading away from the base as fast as possible.

You fly long and hard, sticking close to the ground and trying to stay off radar, moving erratically until you make it out onto the sea. As you check your heading and think about the course you want to take...you wonder where you're going to go.

You've been falsely declared a fugitive by the Emperor himself, two evil cabals wish to see you dead, and you're unsure who you can trust...

>Head to the Avalon. You aren't sure if Pailsen has your friends under control, but if he does you're going to break them out of it! Traitor or not they KNOW the truth and at the very least they'll be willing to lend you a hand.

I would be amazed if Shirley could remember his number
>>
Just to clarify, that Nat 1 had nothing to do with Shirley being declared a fugitive. It only fucked up when you guys learned about and jeopardized your escape. You would have learned about it when you arrived aboard the Avalon or contacted it proper, but instead you learned about it now at probably the worst possible moment.

V.V was going to have Charles declare Shirley a criminal one way or another, I mean it wouldn't make sense if he just let her run around all willy nilly when she's basically a walking semi-immortal, psychotic monstrosity.

I apologize if it came off like I was taking a critical failure too far. If anything I had to downplay it because if the energy filler blew and THEN you guys learned about being declared a fugitive...well that would have been too fucking much bad crap to take at once.

Stop right now
Never explain things like that unless majority of players are annoyed
If you answer like this to one guy it will end up killing the quest thanks to drama
Seen this happen before
>>
>>39019147
I understand that, I was just concerned the majority of players felt I had pulled it out of my ass because of one bad roll and wanted to clarify what happened. This won't be a regular thing, I just wanted to clear this up to prevent any confusion down the line.
>>
>>39019147
Chill man, he's being perfectly reasonable

Where are we going to go?" Rolo asks, his voice clear and defined given that he's literally sitting on top of you.

"The Avalon." You state, checking the heading and trying to work out an estimated time of arrival.

"What? But you've been declared a traitor! The moment you show up you'll be arrested!"

"No I won't. My friends wouldn't betray me like that. Even if Pailsen is waiting there for me I'll kill him and save my friends. I'm not running away, I refuse to run and hide like a scared little child. I don't care if the whole world wants me dead, I'll kill anyone and everyone who tries to claim my life before I get my revenge..."

Gripping the controls of the Bradford, you maneuver the Knightmare upwards, cutting through the air as you head towards Hawaii. Hoping, praying, that your faith in your friends is well placed...

(And this is where we'll be stopping things tonight. I don't know if there will be a quest next Saturday, I might have a job interview that day or the day after it. I'll update you guys when I learn more)

(Thanks for playing, and have a nice week)

Soooo... Is Shirley angry enough to judge humanity yet?

>>
>>39019584
You really want her to just go insane worse than mao on a bender don't you?
>>
>>39019658
Not that anon, but even though I really want a happy ending for Shirley (which does not necessary equal to killing the shit out of everyone that crosses our path), the future seems kinda bleak you know? All these betrayals, injustice and bad rolls pushing her further into madness, and it seems like there's no end to them...

Also,
>>39019439
Our friends are probably going to talk Shirley out of revenge once they learn about her... peculiar mental state. Ergo, they're going to become obstacles. And how do we deal with obstacles in this quest?
>>
>>39019658
Duh
I am gunning for Collective Consciousness ending
>>
>>39019921
Yeah but then again Code Geass was always pretty bleak.

Asfor our friends talking us down? Not much challenge when we can quote of what was done to us and what they are likely to do. Not like we know we can't clear our anme yet and that the guards weren't moved by the geass cult or pluton, yet.

>>39019955
I'm voting for a happy Shirley ending.
