The premise is pretty much that you're a slave in Ancellotta mining the material to make slave collars and you need to either A. Try to scrounge together whatever kind of "life" you can, or B. Escape and make your way back to Granache. Routes would be more limited, probably three girls and a single MC route. Laughing to yourself, you help Marianne up from her seat and make for the exit to the library.

"...and I thought you liked it when I took the initiative..." Emilio mumbles at a volume that implies that nobody was supposed to actually hear what he said.

Moving from the library, you and the Princess take the somewhat long journey all the way up to the part of the castle where your rooms are located. Though you were kind of hoping to run into Nicolette or Melanie along the way, the only people who you passed were some maids whose names you never got the chance to remember.

Smiling to yourself, you grip both of the swords that are handing from your belt and draw them in unison. Starting with your own, you thrust it at in imagined foe before spinning around with a followup slash with your grandmother's sword.

"Er, what are you doing?" Marianne asks while watching you slice at the air with both blades.
"Sorry," you reply while still doing so, "couldn't help myself. This sword was Volker's," you say while holding yours, "and my grandma's is really similar in weight so, you know..."
"...oh, I see," she smiles. "Wearing both of them like makes you feel like Volker."
"Just a little bit," you reply.

And with one final pose, you sheath both swords.

"Enjoyed yourself?" Marianne asks.
"A little bit, yeah," you laugh.
"I would say that you oughtn't let Carina see you playing around like that, but knowing your family, that type of behavior would probably be encouraged..." she says with a smile of amusement.

"Ohh, I'd nearly forgotten about those!" Marianne says, smiling warmly as she reaches out towards the books that you bought for your newly-adopted sister. "Would you mind if I carried them?"
"As long as you don't take credit when it's time to hand them over," you reply with a smirk.
"Considering that -I'm- the one who picked them out..."
"Yeah, yeah," you sigh. "Here you go, Princess."

If nothing else, her carrying them means that your hands are free.

"I've already met with him," Alberto replies, "and he's in the midst of writing my father a letter concerning the military action that we're taking against Ancellotta in retaliation for what they did to my sister."

You notice a distinct glint of anger in the Prince's eyes.

Considering how much extra work it would be to include a "magicless Reinhold" version (literally every single fight scene will have to be rewritten, among other things), I'm going to be leaving that alone in the game version.
