You rush at Nappa again, attacking with a rapid flurry of punches and kicks that slowly begin to drive Nappa back. And, if you aren't mistaken, he seems to be having difficulty holding you off.

Still, he's perfectly capable of countering, and he slams his knee into your gut, knocking you back.

You leap into the air as he throws an energy blast your way, and charge down at him as fast as you can, throwing a kick he barely blocks.

"Now that's more like it, boy!" Nappa shouts before throwing a punch you barely avoid.

You retaliate with a punch that he parries, evade a kick he throws in retaliation, and leap up, punching him in the cheek and causing him to stagger backwards.

He looks down at you, grinning.

"Alright, now the real fun begins"

He lets out a yell as he comes barreling towards you, gathering more energy to give himself an edge again in the match. He's still not quite at full strength, but you now have another power goal to reach.

Of course, to reach that level of strength, you need to make sure Nappa doesn't pummel you in the meantime.

You switch things up at this point, blocking Nappa's attacks as opposed to simply evading them. To your relief, you find that your strength is nearly equal to his own, and you're able to block each strike without much trouble.

Of course, the second Nappa realizes this, he increases his power once more, this time ramping it up to full strength.

As Nappa begins attacking once again, you are quickly forced back by his overwhelming strength, finding yourself barely able to muster a defense against his powerful onslaught. While his attacks are a bit less dangerous than normal due to fatigue, Nappa is still fighting at a level that quickly proves to be beyond your own, and you know that you can't last long like this.

You run towards your friend as fast as you can, and he responds by swinging his sword at you. Leaping above the attack, you land behind him, only to be blown back as he lets out a yell, unleashing a blast of energy.

As you roll back, he turns to face you, and as you get back to your feet, he rushes at you, slashing viciously with his sword and forcing you to desperately dodge. His attacks come so fast that you can't make an effort to counter, lest you get hit.

You continue to take effusive action, moving as fast as you can to avoid each attack.

However, this only prompts Kazuma so strike faster, which, in turn prompts you to push yourself and dodge faster. The cycle continues for some time, with you growing faster and faster as Kazuma forces you to continue avoiding his attacks.

The two of you are able to continue for a while without running out of energy, but, soon enough, exhaustion begins to creep in. So, you break for a moment, retrieving a pair of Senzu Beans and restoring your energy.

Soon, you feel Kazuma fighting at full power, and it takes everything you have to not get pummeled by his attacks. However, as the minutes roll by, it becomes easier and easier to evade him.

Then, to your shock, he begins attacking faster as his power grows. He smirks at you as if he'd planned this increase in strength.

We can avoid becoming weaker by using the Cuffs though actually. If we enter a peroid of time where we don't think we'll be making improvements we can use all of our power to create spirit cuffs. Then we work ourselves to the the level where we were before putting them on and try to maintain that. Even if we slip and lose a good chunk of power, once the cuffs come off again we would be at the same level of power we were plus whatever extra we managed to maintain. It's a useful tool to keep us from stagnating too much and help us maintain a certain level of power.

That said I doubt we'll really worry about it until we start losing power. Kaguya so far has been living by the rule of thumb: "The next big bad is just around the corner and stronger than the last one."
