You have always wanted to be an emperor. That ambition has burned dimly in the past, tempered by reality. Now the opportunity to realise your ambition has arrived and you are determined not to let it slip. Now is the time to build your empire and become an emperor.

Last Thread: You are Imperator Talon York and you rule your own small empire, but you are not yet the emperor you dream of being… yet. Last thread you pulled back to the Crown Wall of Harrowmont in the face of the demonic siege and now you have sortied to face Demon Prince Belrauth and his elite face-to-face.

Next thread tomorrow at 5pm EST.

Rolls are d20 and the best of the first three posters. I may sometimes ask for more dice to be rolled by each player, but same rules apply otherwise. Please quote the post you are voting for or rolling against. Note there are hard-to-replace points that can be used to offset failures in rolls. Please see the Rules and Mechanics, linked through the GDocs Folder above, for more info and detailed dice rules.

Your mind races as you jump to the side to avoid Belrauth’s leap. His swing is wide but blindingly fast and his maul powders the ground as it swings around to follow you, runes on its head flaring as it impacts your shield. You’re worried about how strong this demon prince is going to be, and it seems you were right to be. Reverberations run along your entire left side where you deflected the enchanted maul and you know that you’d probably already be out of the battle if it weren’t for your Iron Body technique. Sparks immediately fill your vision as he scythes in with one of his black swords and you meet it with your own.

With a great shove, you push Belrauth the slightest bit off balance before jumping backwards. His other maul slams into the ground, burying itself up to the shaft as it cleanly impacts the ground. A tremor runs through the ground, barely noticeable against the greater battle around you. A great wall of flame bursts into existence to your left, where several other demons were closing on you, and the cracking of ice can be heard as Undine launches her own volley at them. More rumbles run through the earth as Gnome throws around great volumes of earth. Roars and screams fill the world for an instant, as another mass of magic grows on both sides of the conflict.

Another explosion rocks the battlefield, throwing around enough force to knock most combatants down again. You had braced yourself, as had Belrauth, and the two of you remain standing as the impact slams into your body and goes straight to your bones. Giving you a grin, your foe immediately resumes the fight. The ground beneath his feet cracks with every step as he charges you, crossing the distance in the time it takes you to resume a proper stance. The flow of the battle is hard to read, despite the immense magical volume of your opponent. Belrauth is no pushover, and any attempt you make at reading him and his intentions seems to blur, as if he is constantly shifting his intentions. His body has coiled once more, even as he towers over you at the end of his charge and with his weapons all prepared to strike at once.

[DC16 Duel]

[DC13/17 Greater Battle]

Reminder of Belrauth's Gifts:

>“Infernals have natural attributes that make them strong, such as hard skin or fire-breathing abilities. Then they have innate sorcery, though this is largely limited to devils. Finally, they have Gifts, which are magical abilities that are typically merged with their being but can also be items,” Gnome says, leaning against the battlements in front of the two of you. “Belrauth has both, and having two Gifts means he’s less of a one-trick pony than some demons. The first is a Gift of Greater Replacement, which is a form of regeneration unique to infernals – they don’t regenerate so much as they outright replace what was lost, avoiding the usual methods of countering regeneration and healing magic.

>“The second are the Binary Swords. These twin swords have two states, one that absorbs magical energy and the other that expels it. They’re connected to each other, so one sword can absorb energy and the other can then expel it.”

Alright so here's my idea for this battle. Throughout the siege we've learned that infernals have innards, but their realty says they don't need them to live. We've also learned that a truth death can be achieved by overwhelming that reality with magic strong enough or on Talons case Astral. Now my theory is the reason Talons strikes hit true is they are an extension of his reality, he imposes upon them the laws of the mortal realm. That being, you lose a lung you cannot breathe, your heart is skewered no more blood flow, shah across the throat, etc. So in order to take down the demon we need to take out the vitals, impose our reality on them. But it's difficult to find them assumedly, but that's where something wise we learned comes in. Infernal blood is absolutely filled with magic, so we use our flow manipulation to begin to read it, figure out where the heart is, vitals, lungs, etc. And aim for them. Now of course his regeneration will counter act this, so and this is the ballsy part, once we get a vital we leave the weapon behind, with an imprint of Talons reality upon it, so it's constantly fighting the regen. Then we go after another with whatever weapon we can find on the battlefield and repeat. All we need is to get under his guard once, and it'll be downhill from there.

I think you missed the part about how his regen doesn't so much as 'regenerate' as 'replace'. The ability to rewrite reality with your blows to an extent that counters this is part of 'Sunder' which you didn't get.

And if you cut off his arms, he can just pick the swords back up unless you get a rolling success to stop him.

Yeah I did. I was working off memory. Damn.

Well I'm out of ideas, time to just pound on him until dead like that Daywalker way back when
>>
>>38703773
If we could impale him on his own sword, it should depress his regen long enough for us to take his head off. Problem is trying to arrange that.
>>
I think what Talon needs to do is start shit talking. Clearly the demon is aware things aren't going well, he threw three trumpcards at us at once. Just keep messing with him, put him in a rage so he'll slip up more.
>>
>>38703593
Since his binary swords shouldn't do anything against great slabs of rock or something else that was simply thrown towards him at great speeds with magic, I'm going to assume that something indirect like that is simply not going to do all that much damage to someone of his strength and regenerative abilities.
Is that about right?

>And if you cut off his arms, he can just pick the swords back up unless you get a rolling success to stop him.
I suggested when this just started

Step 1: Disarm him at the wrist
Step 2: Knock his special sword really far away (bat it with our own sword, or just grab it and toss it)
Step 3: Once disarmed of both magic absorbing swords, have our allies bombard him with magic.
>>
>>38704125

We'd only need to rob him of the aborbing sword. the other is the one that expels the absorbed magic... so can't do it's thing if the other one isn't getting hit...
>>
Can he retain the magic he absorbs for a certain amount of time or does he have to expend it nigh immediately thorugh the other one?
If it's the second one, what happens if you hit both swords with magic at once?
>>
>>38704156
>We'd only need to rob him of the aborbing sword. the other is the one that expels the absorbed magic...
no, both swords can be switched between absorb and emit at will.
so he can have 2x absorb, 2x emit, or 1 each.
At the moment they are both on absorb
>>

There is presumably limits on his swords in how big a blast or how long he can store it. Otherwise he would have had some super mega blast stored in the swords from his patron.

>Greater Battle: Exceptional Success; 4, 20, 19

Belrauth’s right arms both snap backwards, as if hit by a tidal wave of force, and in that instant you move forward to strike. Your sword moves with an unnatural grace, the golden glow tracing out an elegant path that will fend off his blows and find its mark. Your right foot shifts forward, your body weight grinding into the ground beneath you as it does so as you lower yourself to thrust into Belrauth’s body with all your might. His left maul goes wide as a result, the displaced air from it creating a shockwave great enough that you can feel the armour on your back creaking as a mass of dwarven steel skims over it. That leaves just one arm.

Your arm nearly goes numb, your fingers retaining their strength only from the astral frame throughout your entire body. The golden glow along your sword seems to have become like a vortex as your blade slides along the black Binary Blade of Belrauth. For a brief moment, you worry that your thrust has failed and that you’re going to have to pull back and try again. Then you see it, the flow of the attack now that your foe has left himself open. You summon more strength, for the first time since your body has underwent its recent ‘transformation’, and fill your body with magical power to the brim.

Don't assume he hasn't, he could actually have one or more waiting to spring on us as a surprise.
We should be prepared for it.

>There is presumably limits on his swords in how big a blast or how long he can store it.
Potentially, but that doesn't mean there is a limit on how well he can defend. Maybe he can switch really fast, or maybe he can just leave his sword on absorb permanently and the excess beyond the max ability to store is just dissipiated into the environment harmlessly, effectively allowing him to perma tank magic with one sword but not bounce it back at enemies

A roar rings in your ears as your shield slams into your foe’s enormous bulk and he braces his thickset legs to maintain his balance. His sword stabs into the dirt as his arm is knocked down and he desperately avoids cutting himself with his own blade. The moment is here and you surge forwards, glowing brightly as power floods your sword and armour once more and you slash wide with your sword. The roar ends short even as immense pain must be running through Belrauth, as surprise and anger overtakes him. With a clean slash, you’ve taken one of his hands off at the wrist, leaving it with the Binary Sword in the ground. You shift your balance and prepare to follow through.

Then the flow shifts in an instant and you desperately roll to the side. A dwarven greataxe spins overhead, as a pair of noble demons break free from the melee and charge you. Behind them you see Salamander duelling with one of them, her scimitar glowing white-hot as she meets enchanted dwarven steel with a fire hot enough to melt steel on touch. Beside her is Caitlyn, her shield in pieces of the ground as she uses a scaly black talon in its place and fends off a trio of greater demons. Griffin Knights and DracoGriffs surround them, fighting in small groups as the explosions of magic turn a coordinated charge into a reckless melee. For a split second you think that you need to pull them all back, before reality intervenes.

Esra and the Daerfir charge, their tattoos shining in the moonlight as they eschew armour in favour of their personal talents and regeneration. A hail of glowing arrows flies over their heads as the Rangers punch through the demonic hides with arrows that explode bits and pieces of their targets. The two noble demons that were charging you are dismembered in the same instant that you rise to meet their charge, Esraveel wielding a rune-encrusted scimitar with a grace and speed that leaves the demons unable to match her. Roars of anger come from all around you as magic ripples into the ranks of the demons and bursts of darkness to your right signal Aladria and Felix coming up that side. For now, you have just enough power and momentum to retain the advantage at large.

That just leaves Belrauth, with one sword stuck in the ground and the stub that was once a hand glowing brightly, with an ethereal image of a hand where one once was. He shudders for a second as another blast of force from Vad slams into his chest, and the fox comes short behind you, a trio of mystic fox knights beside him. The demon prince’s face seems to contort with anger, though you don’t know whether it’s at the intervention in the duel or the loss of a hand. You have a split second to make a decision on how to attack next.

>1. Go for the Binary Sword in the ground. You’ll need to drop your shield and wield it with both hands, but it might give you an edge if you can get to it first. And assuming it even works for somebody who isn’t a demon.

>2. And 3 (Gnome)

You watch for a brief instant as Belrauth shifts his stance to charge once again, his muscles rippling and tearing with the speed of his movement. You can see that strange, grey light all across his joints and body as he moves faster than his frame is built to stand, the pain and damage it is causing being ignored just as you do when you do the same to yourself. The ethereal image of his hand is surrounded by that same light in a glowing outline of the hand. If you give him the chance then he’s going to replace that hand and pick the sword back up, making your efforts useless.

Your feet crack the dry earth beneath your feet as you shift to face Belrauth, your charging stance from earlier letting you get the edge on him. Magic surges through your veins and into your sword as you leap forward, a shockwave following your wake and creating a warbling sound as you pass the sword wobbling in the ground. Those evil black eyes of the demon trace your movements, and he doesn’t disappoint with a reaction. The ethereal image of his hand vanishes and his arm moves to intercept your blow. You don’t have the time to twist around his block, so you simply take the chance to do more damage. His arm practically disintegrates as you crash into him, your sword not so much as sinking into his flesh as disintegrating it as it impacts. Still, it slows you down enough as magic meets magic and he flicks his maul up to intercept you.

Kicking back off the ground, you make a short leap backwards and dodge the maul but he follows through. You block the next blow with your shield, feeling the impact drive you into the ground as the maul crashes into your shield. Once again your blade meets his, as you deflect his final blow, and again it absorbs your magic and you push forward again, frustrated at the amount of energy you need to burn while fighting him. The same trick won’t work twice, however. He shifts backwards in an orderly manner this time, preventing an easy follow-through. You click your tongue and use the chance to enact your next move.

“Gnome, get over here. I need your help,” you say into your sending device.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work as planned – you catch the earth elemental shift but Belrauth notices too. His eyes flicker to the sword and you sense another rush for it coming. You and Vad will need to keep him off it while Gnome…

[Insert sexist joke here]
seriously though, it does not need to be bottomless. just deep enough that he can't reach it. even if he sets it to emit, it just means we can't let him catch a large enough attack to blast it back out (although, maybe he could do so with the passive energy he is absorbing from us whenever we lock sword on sword, just by absorbing enough)
but its basically an act of balancing out risks and rewards.
This also allows her to be here to get his second sword if we disarm him again

The thing is, talon is superhumanly strong. Our sword is actually not even sharp, it cuts because we imbue it with magic, and because we are hitting flesh with a slab of metal weighing a fuckton and moving really really fast.
Its not to much as sword as it is a weapon custom built for talon. I don't know how we would go about redesigning a helbred to work for talon. Also, it undermines talons decade of experience with this particular weapon.

>>38704570
Her sword is protected by herself, if that's what you're complaining about. Magic and shit.

>1.

Belrauth slams into you as you block his path and he roars in response, his massive arms knocking you backwards as he desperately charges for his sword before Gnome can have a chance to bury it. Tumbling backwards over the ground, you deftly rise to your feet as he tries another charge. A series of force blasts slam into the ground where he just was as he then demonstrates his acrobatic ability and leaps overhead. Gritting your teeth, you move backwards to guard the sword without getting too close.

Your arm rings as he slams into your shield again and again with a series of repeated blows. You hold fast, relying on Vad and the foxes to knock his blows aside to help you. He’s building up to something you feel. It’s up to you to deny him that and let Gnome do her work.

Speaking of which, you shout, “Gnome, bury it.”

The magic words push Belrauth to a new level as he gives you a shove and leaps backwards, shifting his gaze towards Gnome.

Just a reminder that FR points apply to a chain, so one would give exceptional successes to both the first two rolls (though you'd still take losses and get pushed back a bit with your army).

I think we should hold off on that for now. We had the advantage and now we lost it and then some, but this is not the end. This is a tough fight and this much struggle should be expected.
We can use it if things get more desperate.
>>
>>38705843
On the one hand, turning both of those into crit successes probably wins us the battle.
If we leave it as a fail, I expect he would have regenerated, lightly injured gnome, and acquired his sword back.
This wasn't a crit fail so gnome is definitely not gonna die or even taken out entirely of the fight... probably...
I am really afraid of negative FR spending because of sanity checks... I don't think we can repair sanity.

The problem is that the loss of momentum here could really fuck us over in terms of the overall battle.
>>
>>38705978
the thing is, the more desperate things are, the harder the DCs, the more fail we accrue, the more deeper into negative FR we must burn to recover/survive.

Well, drawing on FR points effectively drains your perception of reality. Going into the negatives means you're letting the 'other' that is the source of your power (or close enough) be the source of your power instead of your 'excess sanity'. This also ties in a bit with the stuff that Baelrus and Raphael were talking about.

Basically, the effects of going into the negatives will be permanent even once you get out of them. It will permanently warp Talon a little bit, or a lot if you go too much into the negatives.

Anyway, support isn't really there just yet.

huh, irrepairable sanity loss? ... harsh.

The big thing is, unless we get really really good rolls in subsequent rounds, then we are going to have to dip heavily into negative FR to avoid having some named chars dying.

>Protect Gnome: Target not met; 9, 2, 14
>Greater Battle: Dramatic Failure; 8, 5, 1

Leaping to cover Gnome, you make your first real mistake in this battle. Belrauth never really lost sight of his opponent and you misread the flow due to the way he seems to make decisions in split seconds. With a crash, his maul slams straight into your chest and through your guard as you’d expected to intercept an attack meant for Gnome rather than yourself. If that’s the worst of it though, then it’s worth it.

Things can always get worse, and that’s exactly what happens. Belrauth slams one of his fists into you, knocking you backwards and then leaps backwards. It takes you a second to realise why he’d be retreating from the sword the way he is and in that second it’s too late.

The runes on your armour light up as your vision vanishes in a bright flash of light. You feel the ground beneath you collapsing and muster all your strength to keep yourself upright once you stand and rush to where Gnome was. You can feel the impact within your bones, your armour having only kept out the rush of heat that had exploded outwards. A massive hole in the ground has formed where the Binary Sword was, and the ground around it is collapsing inwards to fill the unnatural void. You don’t see Gnome anywhere and can only barely feel her.

The explosion had rattled the entire battlefield, just like the disruption of the devil’s magicks. Knights are thrown to and fro, along with demons who have been knocked down. The rally of the Daerfir and other knights is now a scattered mess of soldiers among demons and you see countless more charging towards your position. You need to pull out now and get Sylph to teleport Gnome to safety.

It’s then that another great red ring of magic suddenly bursts to life. You brace yourself for another explosion but it doesn’t come. There’s no disruption magic, no saving grace to stop the devil. In an instant, he lets loose a blast of energy far weaker than before, having sacrificed power for a faster casting time. A great arc of light in the shape of a red lance snaps out from the ring and the explosion atop the walls rattles the stone and the earth. And your heart. The wall itself is intact, and you see the mage barriers manually erected over the tower collapsing, as the great steel structure itself seems to fall partly inwards and screams ring out. The archers and mages outside the tower remain unharmed, the concentrated nature of the magic unable to harm them and they rush to aid the fallen mages.

You need to get the hell out, and get Gnome and everybody else out. Your ranged support has faltered and the charge is in massive disarray. Until Mal and Sylph are up again, you don’t have anything to stop that devil.

>Fight Belrauth: Target not met; 15, 6, 13

A maul slams into your back and reminds you of other immediate concerns, and you snap your mind back to the present as you roll back onto your feet after the impact. Belrauth roars in triumph, even missing one of his swords, and shows you the closed fist that belongs to the arm you just destroyed.

“Know your place, mortal. Know your death,” he says, and then leaps at you.

Your mind and body are rattled, with your energy running low. This would be the point that you’d pull back but while your troops rise to their feet and desperately try to rally amidst the enormous melee, you can’t risk Belrauth turning on them. Blow after blow hammers down on you, most being shrugged off by the combined power of your regeneration and sturdiness. Then you miss a parry of his sword and scream in pain as your magic fails you. The black sword rakes across your stomach, the magic absorption within it cutting through your armour and seeming to drain your power. It feels like the sword is ablaze with fire and you desperately leap away, tripping and rolling down the crate towards where the sword had stood.

You quickly check your armour, confirming that it’s enchantments are still in place. Laughter, deep and cruel, echoes down the crater and you look around as you sense Gnome. You spot her upper body covered in a pile of stone and dirt, unconscious from the earlier explosion and blood marring her face. You…

No. You’re not going to let yourself fail here, not with so much at stake. Pulling back now would be meaningless – merely making the casualties here completely wasted. You need to end Belrauth, here and now. Then it will all be over.

You pull Gnome out of the ground, holding her against you as you call for teleportation out. You can see the behemoth standing far above you and don’t have much time. Right before you drop Gnome to fight him and keep her safe, Karise of all people warps in. She doesn’t say anything, her face pained, and it’s only a moment later that she teleports out with Gnome. There’s no comfort from the action, however. Aladria should have been the first to react. Things are going very, very wrong.

With the laughter above having stopped, you decide to let Belrauth know that you’re not dead yet. You grip your sword tightly, feeling its weight in your hand, and make one more charge. The battle has risen around you again, with shouts, screams and the clatter of steel on steel. Warping sensations, surges of magic and bursts fill your senses, trying to distract you. The flow of the battle tells you that you can allow no more mistakes here. You’ve lost too much as it is.

>Charge Belrauth: Exceptional Success; 2, 20, 2
>Fighting Belrauth: Target Met; 16, 6, 14
>Greater Battle: Autofail; 15, 14, 1

Pain drives you forward at a pace you’ve never felt before. You slam into Belrauth with your shield, your magic then exploding out from your shield like a miniature astral arrow. He lets out a roar of surprise as he’s knocked backwards, his mauls unable to absorb the power unleashed like his sword. You take another thunderous step forwards, the fragile ground exploding into dust as your plated boot collides with it, and bring your greatsword crashing down on Belrauth. He’s off balance, with his left side pushed further backwards from your shield-bash explosion and so all he can do is block with his right side.

Your sword is glowing with a brightness that reflects the rage within your heart, the pain of your beloved comrades suffering at the hands of this monster transforming into raw anger. Not even dwarven steel can withstand your fury and the haft gives way like paper. So too do both his arms, as your sword drives further and further in its arc. Only the beginnings of Belrauth’s guttural fury can be uttered in response, as your momentum will not be stopped. You will end this now and forever more.

Another red lightning blast ripples across the battlefield, screams joining it but you cannot spare a thought for your men. You must end this before you can help them, as much as it pains your heart. You hear a scream from Salamander as a great and furious fire explodes from the battlefield, and you hear the collapse of stonework as the impacts of the battle rock it to the foundations. Demons are swarming past you and your men, charging the gates and rangers even as they slam open to reveal hundreds more mage-knights charging out to aid you and your men. Battle cries rise up from both sides and from the walls as arrows pour down and steel meets demonhides.

Your mind comprehends this, but your heart sees only the enormous demon before you, collapsing as you press your assault. Earth gives way to your sword as you finish your arc but Gnome’s element will not betray. Cannot betray you. With a mighty cry from your lips, you surge forwards and slam your pommel into Belrauth’s face with a leap. Golden light turns into a furious explosion upon impact and buries the demon’s own cry of rage beneath yours. The ground rumbles from the impact of his collapse upon it even as you fall into a roll and rise to your feet.

Turning, you dismiss the pair of noble demons around you with two deft slashes of your sword. You will not be delayed by mere pests. You have a duty. You have ambition. You will not be denied. The wound across your stomach throbs in sympathy as Belrauth rises, that strnage ethereal image appearing across his body, including his now warped face. Grey lines form around them. You give him a smile, invisible beneath your helmet. How quaint. He thinks you’re going to wait.

You surge forwards, an explosive arc of lightning churning apart the ground where you once stood. Paying it no heed, you eye down your foe. He rises to his feet as fast as you could possibly manage, more grey light searing his body as his destroys himself in an effort to prevent you from slaying him. Your shield meets his maul, turning the tides as modern dwarven steel shows its might and turns aside corrupted relics from long past. His sword misses its mark, a desperate blow thrown off by your might and speed and goes overhead. Dodging it does force you lower, however.

If you can’t remove his arms then you’ll just have to go for the vitals. Your sword buries itself deep into the monster’s chest, his sheer size and bulk being able to compete with your power. You let his roar sound out in full, as full of pain and despair as it is. With his chest reduced to steaming hole in his previously mighty bulk, the Demon Prince Belrauth collapses on his back. He holds only one of the Binary Swords, his only means of defence. His mane is once again quiet and his black eyes hold a fear of death that the lesser demons had not comprehended.

You feel the battlefield around you halt, as the desperate roar of one of the generals brings even this furious melee to a sudden end. You raise your sword, golden light building up around it en masse. It’s time to end it.

“By the might of The York Empire,” you bellow, even as Belrauth desperately points his sword at you, “I declare this battle over.”

The Binary Sword flashes white for a moment but you stand firm. The smallest, most infinitesimal flash of light bursts from it and dissipates on the magic runes of your armour. Then you lower your sword and end this battle. The two halves of the demon collapse completely, the sword clattering as it falls upon stray rocks around him. The battlefield is silent for but a moment.

“You will regret your victory here. My Queen does not allow stains on her reputation to remain for long,” comes a deep baritone from nearby and you look up to see a man as large as yourself with blackened skin like charcoal and embers for eyes. The devil.

You catch his gaze, locked onto the Binary Sword. This man was a summoner. You needed to act fast.

>Target not met

You brace yourself for another charge, even as your magical reserves are running dry. Those swords are your spoils of war – you aren’t going to let them be taken away by some coward who never even joined the battle. The dirt crunches beneath your feet as you leap forward, the devil holding a card in his hand.

It’s too late, however. You sword collides with a barrier around him, seeming to rob you of your momentum. You prepare to make another swing from within the barrier but the card then bursts into black flame. Those flaming red eyes gaze at you for a second, completely bereft of any emotion or insight, and then he vanishes in a burst of flame.

An expanding blast of magic bursts out from the devil, passing through you harmlessly. Everything it touches that is infernal in nature bursts into flame, too. Belrauth’s body, the Binary Swords, the hundreds of demons standing amidst the corpses and still living soldiers of your army. In an instant, all evidence of the demons has vanished. Even the metal spike of the siege engine outside the walls is gone, leaving just the wreckage of the towers and the great charred ground beneath, where the molten infernal steel had touched the ground. All that remains is the death and destruction, and the many dwarven rune weapons.

Cheers fill the air. Raucous shouts of joy and relief from all around you. It’s deafening, the joy and delight of the soldiers. Soon it’s joined by even more noise from further away, as even those who weren’t at the battlefront realise that the demons are vanquished. You collapse to your knees as you realise what has just happened.

Infernals don't breath, Architectanon.
Also, you forgot spikes/blades at the top and base of walls.
And maybe also steel plating to make the walls harder to climb/more resilient.
And we should look into ways to make backup wards in case more Baelri show up.

The moat is more of a larger scale version of the canal, only not in the middle of the district. It'll do exactly what it needs to. Plus that expansion has tons of small details as it is.
>>
>>38708802
He has Consume. If you read that under his char sheet it says its permanent.
>>
>>38708802
from the GDOC
>Consume I - by combining your shadow and blood powers, you may feed on a weakened magical person or being and sap their essence as they die. This takes a length of time proportionate to the target’s power. The more magical power consumed, the more power permanently gained. This is the only known way for you to become stronger, apart from very long stretches of time.
I'm sure he got at least one consume in
>>
>>38708802
>Felix's feeding ability only gives temporary boosts
No, it explicitly gives permanent boost
Every vampire in existence can feed on foes for temp boosts, felix is unique in that the boost is permanent.
However, this comes with complete inability to gain power any other way.
This is what makes him so dangerous, he could easily become the most powerful being in the world if he grinds combat just the right way
>>
>>38708839
And the canal was only any use at all because Undine was using it as a trap.
Infernals don't really care about water, the moat itself wouldn't do shit.
>>
>>38708802
Nah. The feeding power is inherited from Aladria and part of what makes her "Whatthefuckisthis?" Is that she can artificially level herself up by eating souls. Felix's "Damage and absorb your magic" Though is temporary.

Although I don't remember if he actually used that technique like ever.

I've got an idea about the whole climbing thing actually. Let's develop the meanest, most wicked metal hedgehogs ever, and mount them on our walls starting from the bottom to the middle. The metal ought to be strong and heavy enough to dissuade any but the strongest demons or humans from taking a lateral approach to our fortifications.
>>
>>38708896
Anon that's the point, Undine can utilize the entire thing. It's a heavy defensive line, and not entirely meant to repel just demons.

In fact Aspirational has mentioned how much larger this invasion would have been of the moat had been built already. It has a lot of weight defensively.
>>

The infernals would have to have ways to just bug out en masse. Otherwise they'd have huge issues getting in and out of Gauron. It ties in with why there's so little evidence of them doing occasional invasions.

Plus, those weren't Belrauth's troops so the devil pulled them out once victory was impossible.

>>38708660
Troops and other folks aren't covered yet. I probably won't cover them this thread at all, beyond a rough casualty estimate. They're going to need a bit of work.

>>38708927
They're not actually corrupted, that was just a throwaway line about how they've been owned by demons for ages.

>>38708964
Well, not just the moat but the huge defensive structures combined with it.
>>
>>38708987
That are tied together with underground tunnels filled with water, so she can move between them quickly.
>>
>>38708952
Uh, I meant vertical. I don't why I typed in lateral. That's just silly.

>>38708993
We'd need to compromise the outer layer of the wall, and somehow have resupply those traps as the enemy activates them/destroys them during siege. Embedding hedgehogs strengthens the wall if anything, and they're there permanently.
>>
>>38708993
You left out the poison.
Also, fill the moat with pattern mermaids armed with tridents that shoot FMK blasts and fishing nets.
>>
>>38708987
It would be a good idea to get enchanted zone of protection. On the other hand it also might block her view unless we stuck something like an enchantment to make it clear one way.
>>
>>38708499
Well, that's an awesome enough haul that I'm not quite as angry at Blackwater anymore.
Probably exactly what he wants, the bastard.
Lulling us into a fals sense of securtiy so he can strike at us again for even greater damage.
>>
>>38708987

Or something similar yes. Harrowmont's defenses actually rely a lot on Undine, because she's an absolute defensive monster. Granted any mundane army would be smashed without her, but large scale bads have their with cut out for them.

>>38708952

Anon I like it, I like it a lot. There was a special project with the new expansion that required dwarven steel, I'm sure we can get them to part with some more.
>>
>>38709028
So, have the Daerfir been enjoying their stay in our empire so far?
>>
>>38709063
Nah I mean the imperial lever puller back inside the castle pulls a lever and the spike shoots out and you pull the lever again and it retracts.

I didn't mean for it to be a projectile would that still be problematic?
>>
>>38709028
Undine was super useful in this. We should have a few mages summon water familiars to take advantage of our canal, and later the moat as a defensive weapon
>>
>>38709072
Honestly I would suggest just building something like Patterns based off of Undine. Water control 1 or so.

Although once she starts fucking with the water then they might have issues. So it might work better as something like a tunneler unit that has water control one and long range attacks. Burrow underground to avoid notice then when under attack jump out like a Hollywood movie monster.
>>
>>38709217
>>38709235

>>
>>38708630
>Also, anyone else feeling a bit disappointed at how lackluster the siege ended? Not in the sense that we didn't gain much from it, but that everything just -poof- blinked out of existence.
No, I am not bothered in the least. I don't think it was lackluster at all, it was epic followed by a cooldown of them running away and us getting a sneak peak of the next BBEG
>>
>>38709217
We really should have Sarah summon La's water sister, she's open I believe.

It's actually ridiculous how OP Undine is with water. With her build Harrowmont's walls I honestly don't believe we can lose now.
>>
>>38709289
>We really should have Sarah summon La's water sister, she's open I believe.
Yeah, though we were basically told to wait a bit for Sarah to get some gains so she's more impressive. And for the Farlou situation to stabilize.
>>
>>38709289
I think we need more summons in general. Getting Arail set up with a familiar has been thrown around forever.

Might be something we invest time in at the Imperial Academy.
>>
>>38709289
We should also replace all of Harrowmont's Archer and MaA garrison with AAs and MMKs.
No extra upkeep cost, and it makes our base even more secure.
>>
>>38709289
A big thing to worry about is an invasion while we are out elsewhere leading to no Undine or Talon. We shouldn't base our defenses around only her so much as have her defense power as a side benefit.

A big thing to worry about right now is foes that can just say "Fuck your shit." and get past the water.
>>
>>38709147
>Or something similar yes. Harrowmont's defenses actually rely a lot on Undine, because she's an absolute defensive monster.
Its also the fact that of the elemental sisters, she was the highest level at the time. And since skills rise exponentially going from water manip 2 to water manip 3 was like going from level 4 to level 9.
Now that talon finally leveled up his magic to 5, gnome also leveled up. Still not even close to her true power. But now on par with undine
>>
>>38709028
I can already tell I'm not going to like the amount of NKs we lost. Not one bit. Those bastards took most of the punishment by far.
>>
>>38709217
>We should have a few mages summon water familiars
We have already created a culture in the TYE that encourages familiars. Summoning a familiar is basically marriage, its a matter of personality.
Also, most water elementals can't do nearly as well as her. Its not so much water being uber as undine herself being uber.
>>
>>38709386
In about a year or so I think we will have the fundamentals of pattern creation which will help out a lot.

Although I personally think we should invest at least once into the enchantment tree just for the artificial blood. Then go full Patterns. Just because having armies of daywalkers with Pattern support is godlike.
>>
>>38709289
>We really should have Sarah summon
No, sarah is not strong enough yet.
What we need to do is get sarah a LOT of assistance in adminstration and push her towards focusing on her magic.
Also, personally I think we should encourage her to pursue eternal youth ASAP, while she is still young and sexy
>>
>>38709420
On the plus side, the survivors should be veterans/elites with new dwarven rune gear.
>>
>>38709181
I just think moving spikes will be less effective. We don't need to spear guys on our walls, we just need to prevent them from going up them vertically while our archers make porcupines of them. Hedgehogs will have great staying power and are less resource intensive, and are better defensively at the cost of offense.

>>38709235
Patterns actively using magic is really, really ahrd. Plus, Water Control 1 for a pure elemental is twice the power of a Greater Elemental (like Bartom). Almost no regular elementals will have that ability.
>>

Haha. Gnome would crush Undine in general. Just because she is built for that while Undine is based more on less direct offense.

>>38709409
Even so, Harrowmont is able to stand on its own. It's a monster of a fortress that is actually progressive for the setting, as star-forts aren't utilized anywhere else as far as we're aware.

I doubt mundane armies would have the amount of trump cards available to tell our moat to piss off, and any high level siege would almost assuredly involve Talon because I don't see Aspirational fucking us like that.
>>
>>38709479
I wonder if the dwarves would have a cultural interest in these relics. We could trade them for mad profit, or generate goodwill, or earn a favor
>>
I really hope we find some Griffins out in the wild.

>>
>>38709235
We're not thinking creatively enough
Imagine exploding shark patterns or giant kraken patterns that pull motherfuckers into our moat
>>
>>38709525
On par does not mean 1v1 white room PvP battle.
They are now equal in terms of their elemental manipulation level. That gives each advantages and disadvantages in difference scenarios, but the raw power and control is now on par.
>>
>>38709531
Yeah I"m thinking more like Combat Magister or a powerful flying army. A mundane army is less an issue even without Undine.
>>
We need a DrawFag/DrawFriend

We really shouldn't have patterns in the moat to start with if Undine is going to turn it into a whirlwind. I'd honestly rather have flying angel like units or Golem like units we can just stick on the walls and leave.

>>38709596
They might actully not be equal. We know Gnome has Earth Manipulation 3 at Max while Undine has Water Manipulation 4. So it depends on when Gnome jumps up compared to Undine.
>>

>>
>>38709574
There is such a thing as too creative, y'know.
I'd really rather not sacrifice too much style for substance, especially when it's going to be abstracted anyway.
Giant krakens with four laser beam shooting tentacles and a mouth that sucks stuff in like a whirlpool sounds cool though, probably tier 3 pattern research kind of thing.
>>
>>38709235
>Honestly I would suggest just building something like Patterns based off of Undine. Water control 1 or so.
That is not possible.
No pattern has ever come close to the efficiency of natural elementals, water control 1 is a newborn pure water elemental.
There is no way we can make something like that that can feed itself, so they must be familiars. Which would require insanely powerful mages, which would benefit more by summoning a natural elemental.
>>
>>38709699
I agree. Honestly I am not even that interested in patterns anyways. Only that they might be used to revise the gryphon race (if we can create reproduction capable patterns of gryphons) for magical mounts for our army.

And even then, I would rank it far behind all the other research we gotta do. We can massively improve our mage plate, and I think we should.
>>
>>38709710
Oh, It's possible it would just take so long the likelihood of ever seeing it is low. Unless the quest goes on for like 300 years.

We already know it's completely possible to create Pattern pure Elementals. It's just bullshit hard.
>>
>>38709692

Alright here's the problem with a 3D render of Harrowmont, though it gets pretty high up there at the Keep the spread is over miles. Any render I did would be really squashed looking in an image because even a 50m tall wall looks small compared to the vast stretch and wouldn't do Harrowmont justice at all.

Really Aspirational's descriptions and reference .PDF probably do the best we can imagine.
>>
>>38709772
>Not interested in mass producing orcs and Golems.

An interesting thing to note is Patterns can stand in one spot for thousands of years and never die of old age and can be as strong as mage plate.
>>
>>38709699
>>38709689
What about if we had circles that could summon the patterns after Undine unleashes hell?
Like the circles in that PoP dive where we were POV of best squire
>>
>>38709772
For the most part pattern research and improving mage plate should use different research pools (mages and machinists respectively), the only bottleneck where we have to choose one or the other being Mal's research.

Patterns are not summoned.

>Morning

Aside from very brief rests, you hadn’t slept since the siege had begun. Even now you were hard at work with the rest of the soldiers scouting out the city for wounded, survivors and everything and anything left over. The real first step had been getting Laryya and Gnome out to the outer wall to reopen the gatehouses and reopening the canal gates. Then it had been painstaking work for you and thousands of soldiers to start clearing out the terraces.

The sun was just peeking over the cliffs behind you when word came via sending that Ren and the reinforcements from Craol were coming. You stood by the canal, which was still filled with the wreckage of boats and buildings, as well as more blood than you liked. Down it came barges and on them more fluffy tails than you’re used to seeing in one spot, let alone in armour. Ren was holding out on you, you thought. Then you saw the emblem.

“What’s the Pride Clan doing here, Wakato?” you ask the seven-tailed fox who leads the Pride Clan and should be much further north right now.

“My foxes passed on a message about a demonic invasion,” he says simply, looking around the ruined cityscape with a frown. “Even with the shadowbeast threat we were fighting, it would have been unwise not to help you. We cleared out the demons further north with Ren last night and came as quickly as we could.

“It seems our aid was unnecessary,” he finishes, giving you an inscrutable look.

“Their general was in a rush overnight. Perhaps he’d been informed of your arrival,” you say simply. “I appreciate the aid, though it’s mostly going to be for reconstruction.”

“My people live here, too. We will help,” Wakato says and two of you part.

Yo, I've got an idea from watching a few Chinese movies as a kid. Now, you know how China was all about mass infantry battles and huge castles? They came up with a bunch of really creative ways to take on masses of soldiers. My favorite is the knife cart. Basically, it's just a fuck huge wagon on eight wheels made entirely of metal with knives and horrific imagery, and sometimes human body parts/corpses hanging off that would be rolled down a slope into charging infantry. The coolest ones had whistles that would scream hideously as they rolled into infantry.

Ren is next off the boat, and he’s got no shortage of foxes with him. Vad’s already directing them, with the aid of some of the other foxes under you. The eight-tailed fox chief makes his way directly to you, looking a little upset.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to send aid sooner,” he says, voice tight. “This isn’t what I hoped to see when I visited Harrowmont next.”

Tactically, he’d been right to hold back. You didn’t know what demons they’d sent to attack his settlement and if he’d come here too quickly then they might have changed course anyway. On the other hand, you’d spent the last several hours seeing far too many dead bodies of men who fought and died for you. At the same time, how would you have felt if your positions were reversed and you were greeting Ren in the ruins of his settlement, after they changed course when he reinforced you. You’re at a crossroads here.

>1. Thank Ren for coming as soon as he could and be empathetic to the danger posed to his people.
>2. Criticise Ren for not reading the situation better. He should have been able to direct more foxes to help you while defending his people.

My main thoughts is part of the reason Kushan took over the planet was patterns so it has to be pretty godly. So just leaving it behind sounds pretty bad when we fight foes that Mage plate doesn't work well on. Like shadowbeasts.

We shouldn't leave Mageplate behind but I find patterns vastly more useful. Though that's just my thoughts so far.

Nah, he mainly won because the Aefir let him gain to much strength, and eliminate too many allies, before they fought him in earnest.
>>
>>38710128
Mage plate works great on shadowbeasts.
Just, y'know, not great enough to offset the number problem.
>>
>>38710128
>My main thoughts is part of the reason Kushan took over the planet was patterns so it has to be pretty godly.
Kushan never used patterns. the other human mages in his empire developed the tech for fun and profit, but kushan fought alone, he has no armies.
He would teleport to a battle field and single handed slaughter everything with massive spells of doom. (this was horrible on the civilians btw).
>>
My main concern here is that Ren is apparently shit at dealing with other people.
Saying nothing could easily have him interpret "you don’t intend to blame or excuse him" as us actually blaming him.
>>
>>38710128
>So just leaving it behind sounds pretty bad when we fight foes that Mage plate doesn't work well on. Like shadowbeasts.
Shadowbeasts are not immune to mageplate, they are just really really really powerful to the point where a mundane in mage plate is too weak to be a threat to them, and too numerous.

Kushan used undead, constructs, demons and mage acolytes. Whilst he likely did a lot of research into patterns (and there's probably a lot of rumour about him using them, though that's based on another of his experiments that never reached fruition), as Mal pointed out at one point it's really constructs or patterns for a mage. Different types of minds will be better at different ones. Most pattern research was done in the Golden Age.

“This isn’t your fault, you came as soon as you could,” you say, suppressing any anger about the situation. “You had your own people to worry about, especially given their vulnerability. I wouldn’t have wanted to be the one walking around in the ruins of your settlement.”

Ren gives you a nod and a very small but appreciative smile before joining with a seven-tailed fox that was part of his retinue. You don’t know how much help he’ll be to the relief effort, but his foxes should be invaluable.

It’s not until the next day that you run into that fox, his seven dark red tails shuffling slowly behind him as he checks on Finn. He gives you a nod as you arrive, a few newspapers in hand, and leaves you be. Finn’s not in the greatest of shape, as the analysis of the dwarven rune-weapons was revealing that they were all heavily enchanted to counter regeneration. With a break from the relief efforts, and contacting other nations and nobles within your country to let them know you weren’t overrun by demons, you decided you’d spend some of it by his side as he rested off the injuries. At least he wasn’t feeling the pain of his tattoos or the injuries while he slept.

“Checking up on your son, Talon?” comes a rather teasing voice from the door and you give Sylph a flat look for her comment.

“I’m not used to him staying down for so long. I suppose I got used to him just shrugging everything off,” you say. “How’s Gnome?”

“Reminding Laryya of who is the older elemental,” Sylph says drly, as she leans her chest against the back of your head. “I don’t often see you reading the news. Don’t you have people to tell you anything important?”

“Getting the views being spread around is important, especially now,” you say. “Like the fact that I am either an evil so great that even the demons felt the need to stop me, or that I am a force of good so great that even the demons felt the need to stop me. Or maybe Alyce summoned them.”

Sylph doesn’t say much, which shows her thoughts on the ‘reasons’ given. She says, “Do we know anything?”

“Gnome and the dwarven ambassador think it has something to do with the fact that the infernals once used the old dwarven city there as an outpost. The dwarves have similar problems, with infernal armies having appeared in the depths of Sithran in centuries past,” you say. “In other words, nobody really knows. The fact that the backer was the ‘Queen’ should mean something. I’m hoping Raphael might shed some light when he arrives.”

Anything further is interrupted by the sound of Finn stirring, you fall silent and watch as the elf tosses and turns for a second, before his brow furrows in pain. He opens his eyes, catching yours and smiles.

“Sir Talon. We won, didn’t we?” he asks you, having likely been told the answer already when he last stirred. He blinks suddenly, clenching and unclenching his right fist. “Oh, and I have my arm back now. I haven’t lost one of those since Malataine.”

Finn seems a bit out of it, smiling with a dazed look and generally being affected by the magic that the foxes were using to relax his mind and muscles forcibly. You’re not sure if you should intrude on something he wouldn’t normally talk about.

“Can you feel everything? You don’t have any problems?” you ask Finn, pushing your interest in how he might have lost an arm in Malataine aside.

Talking first was also a way to stop Sylph, as she stiffened against you and seemed ready to question Finn. Clearly it concerns her, as it almost certainly would Undine, that Finn would think so little of losing his arm, even if he isn’t completely himself. You pat Sylph’s arm to let her know it’s okay while you watch Finn’s reaction. The small elf appears to be checking on himself slowly but surely, flexing his fingers and arms, and wincing as he moves his chest a bit too much.

“The arm seems fine. Not my chest. I’m not used to this,” he says. “I guess that’s magic for you.”

You nod, not smiling. Unfortunately, it looks like he’s misread your concern for unhappiness. He looks at the wall opposite you, so that you can’t really see his face.

“You won, but I didn’t. I’m sorry, Sir Talon. I should have done better,” he says, his voice thick.

You open your mouth to assuage him before realising that maybe you shouldn’t be so quick to simply support him. This wasn’t the first time that Finn had seriously hurt himself and things weren’t improving at all. He might be able to take the wounds normally, but even he could be shaken by the pain and recovery period. The fact his chest was still hurting him was visible in his emotions, as he was so used to just shrugging off everything thrown at him. You…

Finn is literally insane, has insane self-worth issues and the way Talon has treated him so far has basically done nothing to get rid of those but simply allowed him to reframe all considerations of his own worth under how useful he is to Talon, while completely disregarding the notion that his life, well-being or avoidance of incredibly horrible pain has any intrinsic value whatsoever.

Does it have any value whatsoever? If he didn't take that then Undine may have been hit causing much more death in the long term. He did incredibly well to go so far. There is value in having someone who is willing to do this from a pure pragmatic point of view.

The hard part is getting him to realize he isn't as useful if he is fucking ten feet underground.

>The hard part is getting him to realize he isn't as useful if he is fucking ten feet underground.
that is an incredibly cruel thing to do to someone, since it cements in his mind that his sole value is as a tool for talon (whom he is co-dependent on) and that talon doesn't care about him.
I would much prefer mental healing to that

What kind of fucking sociopath are you?
Seriously, is something wrong with you people?

OF COURSE literally torturing yourself because it increases efficancy is a horrible idea.
It is straight up insane.
The sign of a deeply broken individual that is only steps away from stopping to be a person at all.

It's really astounding how little Anons seem to give a fuck about Finn actually living like a sapient being, as long as he keeps smiling vapidly and kills stuff for them.

I realised while writing this that I don’t have Finn’s eye colour recorded anywhere.

>3.

“I don’t think it’s about you doing better, Finn,” you say slowly, making up your mind to push Finn on this topic. “You protected Undine. You even protected Felix. You didn’t protect yourself. Why not, Finn?”

The look in Finn’s eyes is one of confusion. He’d brightened up when you said he’d protected both Undine and Felix but then sunk into confusion at the end. He glances at Sylph, as if for support then back at you. It’s worrying that this should be confusing.

“I protect myself if it lets me win. I didn’t expect not to heal the axe wound,” he says, completely missing the point.

“There’s more than just protecting yourself to win, Finn. You protect yourself to live, to keep yourself safe from pain and suffering. Why do you actively put yourself in harm’s way when you don’t have to? Not everybody fights like that – that’s why Felix retreated,” you say, gently pressing the point.

“Isn’t that the point of fighting? I can heal wounds, run faster, hit harder. Isn’t it my job to stay at the front so that others don’t have to?” he says, still looking completely confused but is now growing worried. “Isn’t that what you do? What is expected of a Champion and a leader? Am I doing something wrong?”

You suppress the urge to say yes, knowing it won’t do any good and will just hurt Finn. The problem is the next step. How do you deal with a squire who believes the only way to fight is to sacrifice himself in the process, even if he really can take it? At the same time, it’s hard for you to criticise him yourself. You were guilty of the same approach sometimes, the difference being that it felt like Finn didn’t consider pain and injury as a failure in combat as just part of it. You…

>1. Leave it at that, giving Finn some reassurance that he did well but should try not to get as badly hurt in the future.
>2. Give Finn a reminder that he should avoid harm. Maybe he should ask Mana, Rayza and Annette how they feel about him ending up like this.
>3. Push Finn about what his problem is. He could just as easily have died there, when he could have pulled back with Felix and fought differently. He’s pushing himself forward when he needs to back off sometimes.

Yeah I mean I won't say people are wrong to want to help out Finn. I just tend to go full "What's the most useful thing?" As a rule.

Personally I feel the ideal use for empire growth is getting him to value his life insofar as it keeps him from dying. But if I'm outvoted then I am and it would be nice to help him out since he is a good friend Talon cares for.

Plus, mention that if he doesn't want to back off for his own sake, he should be careful for the people who care and worry about him.

"In fact, lets ask them now."
Open the door and let them in.

Always think of the waifus bro.

Also add in there that True victory is one thats gained with as little lost as possible. If you lose everything to win then you really win nothing.

>>38712031
Yeah, I have no idea how to deal with Finn. I mean, I mostly agree with his headspace on this given how his magic works, so my only real recommendation is "train to fight smarter rather than have to heal harder." Fuck if I knw how to write that in character...

I'm not sure he actually could've dodged given his rolls, but still it's the thought that counts I guess?

Personally I feel it is his fighting style. I say what we need to do is tell him it would make Talon feel better if he would avoid pain the best he can since he is a dear friend to Talon.

We need him to make judgement calls on when and where to take it like Talon does.

You sigh, meeting Finn’s confused gaze with a gentle one of your own. “Finn, you did very well in combat. Taking on all three of those demons, even after Felix pulled back, took an immense amount of ability. What I’m asking you is to think more on whether you needed to – you could have pulled back with Felix and gotten help from other knights to help you guard Undine instead of fighting them all by yourself.

“I don’t like seeing you like this. Especially when I think you could have defended Undine without taking the risks that got you here. If you talk to your Rayza, to Mana, and to Annette, I’m sure they’ll say the same sort of thing.”

You reach out and ruffle Finn’s hair gently, his head brushing slightly against your hand as he nods in response to your words. There’s not much more to say, as he seems to doze off again but is still somewhat aware. After a little while, you step outside.

“How is he?” Rayza asks you from where she’s sitting outside the door.

“See for yourself. Talk to him about how you feel about him being injured. I did,” you say. “He could use the push.”

She nods, face darkening as she realises what you mean. Giving you a squeeze on the arm, she smiles at you before heading in. A sadistic part of you wants to remain here to see what happens, but you also worry that you’ll get your comeuppance one day. Plus, you need to admonish some young dragons about their stupidity during the siege.

>That’s the thread

Sorry it was a short thread, but I really only held two threads this weekend to make up for not getting the siege done last week. It feels hard to continue after wrapping up that siege.

I’m going to take a bit of a break from AEQ for a few weeks. I’ve been rather exhausted lately due to work and I haven’t been in the right frame of mind to be doing writing. My current plan is to resume on the 3rd of April, and that will probably be a one-shot, but that may change. Probably a good idea to keep an eye on Twitter.

We need to fight demons more often.

You know I will be absurdly glad when we level up speed and Resistance. It's nice to be strong and all but we are starting to lack speed and resistance due to empower self not hitting those stats.
>>
>>38713509
Doesn't it make sense that empower self would hit speed? It's a physical attribute isn't it?
>>
>>38713596
Yeah I meant more resistance alone there. As we are now Salamander is faster then we are. We also haven't leveled up endurance for a while.
>>
>>38713651
Though I"m ungodly glad that Flow Animation is close to a level up. We need to get that at 3-4 just because of how "Fuck you." That is. At the 3rd level it lets you bust though iron body and healing and shit.
