You are Ur'shal, chieftain of the Stonetusk Clan. It's been less than an hour since the malformed Tongueripper hordes hurled themselves against the stony fortifications of your camp. It feels like a lot longer. All things considered, the counterattack has gone well, the Tonguerippers, for all their Abyss-borne strength, are blunt and violent creatures, who's response to traps and fortifications is to hurl themselves at it until it breaks or they do.

After letting them bloody their nose against the defensive force on the walls of your camp, you personally led one half of a pincer attack against the Tongueripper flanks, your mate Ya'zada leading the other side. Many of your clanmates have fallen, but the Tonguerippers are being culled faster still.

Only two real issues remain, the 'chieftain' of the Tonguerippers, Krag'ur, a hideous, straining mass of unnatural muscle and fungus-riddled hide towering even over his hulking kin. The other and more pressing issue is Za'zarag the shaman, or rather Lorsyth, the Abyssal horror wearing his skin. Left to his own devices his twisted magic could still turn the tide against you, but committing your entire force to cutting him out from the heart of his army could leave a fatal weakness in your assault, one which the Tonguerippers could exploit if you are unfortunate. Even now you feel the lurching, sickening sensation in the pit of your stomach as unspeakable words of power spill from the bloated sorcerer's lips. You only hope you can reach him in time.

>Commit the entirety of your force to pushing for the sorcerer
>Lead a smaller force of your hardiest warriors to strike at Za'zarag while the rest continue the assault.

Well, it's not horrible with the bonuses, I just hope it's enough, we'll either have to dedicate a smaller force to distracting Za'zarag's body, have our mages focus on him, or hope we can take out the chief in time and it won't make Za'zarag's body rush.

and it's a tie, okay then.

1: Both
2: Vor'zal
>>
>>38603242
Hmm, okay then, hopefully his abyssal resistance helps at least.
>>
Do you have any plans for how long you'll be running for, Lordy?
>>
“Vor'zal, Ya'zar, with me, we cut out this sickness at its heart. The rest of you, keep fighting, send the Tonguerippers' souls back to the abyss screaming our names,” you roar.

You carve into the abyssal mutants, your great axe leaving a trail of scattered limbs and broken bodies in your wake, swollen muscle and twisted bone offering little resistance to enchanted steel. Ya'zar and his aging warg flank you to one side, the warrior and his beast working in perfect unison, hobbling the hulking beasts with spear and fang and ripping them asunder. To your other side, Vor'zal in the form of a squat, powerful needleback snaps and hisses, Tonguerippers too deranged for fear falling upon his plated, spiny hide with their fists only to bleed out from their own frenzied assaults.

Your sudden change in direction has apparently confused the massive Krag'ur, who is forced to double back through is own forces, smashing them aside in simple-minded frustration as he barrels through his own clanmates. As you approach the palaquin, the four Tonguerippers carrying it lower it to the ground, standing between you and the obese sorcerer as he pulls himself from his seat.

He is covered in thick layers of rank, diseased furs rattling with bone charms and twisted effigies to his abyssal master, what little flesh you can see is discolored, shot through with pulsing black veins and mottled patches of mould and fungal growths. His mouth covered by the rancid furs, you see only a bulbous pair of black eyes staring at you with utter malevolence.

What now, Ur'shal?

>Write-in plan of attack

>"Aw, you liked my present so much you came back for seconds?"
>have sorcerer ranged ambush while we cut into the guard, magical assistance as required
>throw a dagger at him/his throat
>GO FOR THE FUCKING THROAT/MOUTH WHENEVER POSSIBLE, OR THE LUNGS IF NEED BE, HE'S A FUCKING CASTER
>If Vor'zal and Ya'zar can handle it, the let them take care of the guard and just charge through them, maybe get a cut in to a guard on our way through
>fake out an attack against Lorsyth, change to the side/back and cut the legs if easy target, then go for the kill immediately, if we can't then the arms
I'm afraid if hacking his stomach open, I fear Za'zarag's body may be serving as a cocoon to give a an original body to Lorsyth, though I kind of doubt it.
Do we have a spear with us? Use that too and the dagger when opportunity arises, just keep him from casting his shit.
Make sure to roar the name of the appropriate god when finishing, I'm not sure
who would be more appropriate, considering he's a worm of the god who Kul'zog Zor replaced, but is an abyssal who Zul'orok Zhar hates.
Also mention freeing Ua'zarag or something if we manage to kill him, for sure, though I imagine that's still a couple updates off.

Hopefully our plans gave a nice bonus in addition to Ur's regular combat bonuses.
That's at least a +2, since this is melee to a degree.
>>
You gesture to the two lieutenants, outlining your plan while the rest of your strike force fends off the crush of Tonguerippers trying to press in from the back of the enemy horde.

You draw a dragger from your belt, hurling it at the bloated sorcerer, charging forward alongside Ya'zar to cut down the palanquin-bearers as Vor'zal circles around to the side, shifting into his faster-moving Crag Lion form as he goes.

The dagger strikes true, embedding itself in the filthy furs draped around Za'zarag's bloated neck, but the sorcerer's arcane chant continues regardless, one flabby hand reaching up to wrench the dagger free, tossing it aside.

Between you though, you make quick work of the guards, and while the dagger may not have slowed Za'zarag's casting, having Vor'zal's leonine form crash into his flank, clawing and tearing at corrupted flesh, seems to do the trick. The sorcerer gives a cry of pain and rage, seizing Vor'zal by his mane, hurling the old priest to the ground hard. The damage has been done however, the spellcasting as been interrupted, and Vor'zal's assault has shredded flesh and drawn thick, dark blood from beneath the furs.

Vor'zal picks himself up shakily, favoring the leg he landed on, as Za'zarag finds himself facing the three of you alone, his guards cut down in seconds by yours and Ya'zar's assault.

>>
“I've come for you Lorsyth, no escape now,” you growl, gripping your axe tight.

You charge forward, axe arcing downwards to the sorcerer's face. His eyes widen as he raises a clumsy arm to block your blow, the arcane steel severing the limb at the wrist, carving a great gash down the side of his face and tearing the rank furs from his neck. You hear Ya'zar roar as he drives his spear into Za'zarag's side, the steel biting deep into corrupted flesh.

Za'zarag recoils under the assault, Ya'zar's spear breaking from the strain, leaving cracked wood jutting from the oozing wound. He brings his remaining hand up, spitting out harsh, sickening abyssal words as a crawling mass of millipedes, cockroaches and lamprey-mouthed worms erupts from the ground before him in a spray. You and Ya'zar dodge back, your lieutenant cursing loudly as he sweeps hungry vermin from his arm, the skin already bitten and raw from their hunger.

Vor'zal lunges at Za'zarag, but the sorcerer catches him by the throat, gripping the old priest with abyssal strength as Vor'zal's crag lion form claws and howls in his grip.

Za'zarag's mouth opens wide, and you now see the full extent of the sorcerer's abyssal corruption. His chin splits wide into a cavernous pit ringed with twitching mandibles and writhing tendrils, opening impossibly large, tearing the furs from his chest as the nightmarish maw opens to its full size, a low, horrifying chorus of howls echoing up from its depths.

“Hungry, I'm hungry,” you hear Lorsyth's voice whisper beneath the sound, a chittering, cackling sound.

>>
You stomp over a crunching carpet of skittering vermin, hardy leather boots making short work of the biting, stinging swarm, you hear Lorsyth's voice beneath the chorus of agonized wails echoing up from the pit of Za'zarag's mouth, chanting yet more abyssal blasphemies, but his sorcery is cut off sharply as a throwing spear lodges itself in his flank.

Ya'zar gives a triumphant howl, lashing out with another spear as his warg lunges at Za'zarag's shin, tearing through the corrupted meat and throwing the bloated sorcerer off balance. You seize on the opportunity, bringing your axe down on the arm which holds Vor'zal aloft, slicing it clean at the elbow joint.

“If you want to eat so badly, Lorsyth, then eat this,” you roar, tossing the severed arm into the bottomless pit of Za'zarag's maw.

Vor'zal drops to the ground, his leonine form hacking and coughing, but quickly regaining its balance. Switching to his Needleback form as he tears into the flesh of Za'zarag's flank, powerful jaws ripping through fat and muscle alike.

Za'zarag is reeling, Lorsyth's voice crying out in fear and indignity beneath the wailing voices. One more push and you can finish this, and just in time, as the looming shape of Krag'ur crashes through the Tongueripper horde towards you.

Vor'zal continues his assault on Za'zarag's leg, ripping and tearing with claws and fangs until the corpulent sorcerer kicks him off hard, sending the old priest once again sprawling out across the dusty earth. Still, this is just the distraction you need, and as Za'zarag's attention is elsewhere, you bring your axe into the side of his neck, carving through thick blubber, hardy fungal growths and muscle pulsing with abyssal magic. The sorcerer's dark eyes go wide, desperately trying to clutch at the axe lodged in his neck with hands he no longer has. Grinning, you wrench the axe free, giving the abyssal sorcerer no time to react as you hack into his ruined neck once more, severing the head from the body.

Za'zarag's body collapses, his unnatural form no longer supported by the reality-warping influence of the abyss, blubber and fungus-riddled flesh sloughing from bone and sinking into the dark pit of his gaping maw as it swallows up the sorcerer's carcass.

The howling chorus from within the pit only grows louder, as a ghostly mass of pale orcish figures erupt from its depths, losing their forms and dissipating into the sky like smoke. Despite the chaos of battle all around, you can't help but watch as the souls flee the horror's belly, you can only hope that the abyss has not dug too deeply into their spirits, that perhaps they can find their way to the realms of the orcish gods.

(cont)
>>
>>38604856
With the spirits dissipated, all you are left with is a flattened, fetid mass of rotting meat and rancid furs, all that remains of the abyssal sorcerer and of lorsyth's connection to the mortal realm.

“Chieftain, a little help,” you hear a shout, snapping you from your revelry.

You turn to see Ya'zar and his warg doing their best to fend off the hulking Tongueripper chieftain. The massive creature is limping from another of Ya'zar's spears lodged in the twitching muscle of his thigh, his movements slowed by the wound, but all the same you can see that Ya'zar and his companion alone are just barely holding off the massive mutant.

Vor'zal is slowly picking himself up, shifted once more to his orcish form, breathing shallow as he clutches at his side. While he seems to be alright, you doubt he'll be able to support you any time soon.

You sigh, adjusting your grip on your axe as you turn to face Krag'ur. Fortunately, with the death of the shaman, the assault of the Tonguerippers has become, if such a thing is possible, even less organized than before. While their natural aggression keeps them throwing themselves at your warriors, there is no coordination, no larger plan, and they seem just as quick to turn their fury on their own clanmates as yours.

Ya'zar ducks a massive fist larger than your lieutenant's head, jabbing at the abdomen of the berserk mutant, but his throwing spears were not really designed for such close combat use, and he is not inflicting much more than superficial wounds. What he is still doing however, is drawing Krag'ur's attention, his stinging, aggravating strikes keeping the Tongueripper chieftain enraged and off-balance as his warg snaps at his heels.

There is no need for orders, you drop quickly into the rhythm of Ya'zar's attack, waiting for the right moment, when Krag'ur's guard is dropped, to drive your axe into his exposed flank. Even your enchanted axe has trouble carving through the thick layers of unnatural muscle and steely bone, but you still manage to open a large wound in the mutant orc's side, exposing the discolored flesh and writhing innards beneath.

Krag'ur roars, flailing with blind fury, you step back out of reach of his blows, well aware that one solid hit from those massive fists could shatter bone and pulp organs. Ya'zar sidesteps a downward swing, jabbing the tip of his throwing spear into Krag'ur's eye. The massive beast bellows, clutching at its face, and you seize your opportunity, burying your axe in his exposed belly, splitting the flesh and spilling the titanic orc's guts across the dusty earth.

Despite this, he still comes, half-blind, mad with rage and pain, spittle foaming from his jaw.

Krag'ur lunges for you, and you feel the wind on your face as you pull back, the blow which would have shattered your skull missing by a hair's breadth. The hulking mutant, eager for blood, surges forward again, only to unbalance himself as the warg tears into his thigh. You meet Krag'ur's fury with your own, roaring out a prayer to the gods as you bring your axe up under his chin, splitting the bone and sending the massive monster sprawling to the dirt.

He struggles to right himself, slipping over his own spilled intestines in clumsy haste, but you give him no chance. You, Ya'zar, the warg, the three of you fall upon Krag'ur with a savagery which would please Kul'zog Zor, reducing the abyss-warped chieftain to shattered bone and gore.

You seize Krag'ur's head, or what is left of it, lifting it high to roar out your victory, a cry echoed by two hundred Stonetusk voices as they carve down the confused remnants of the Tongueripper clan.

The battle is not yet won, but it is only a matter of time now, and even within the atrophied minds of the Tongueripper mutants, you know that some glimmer of fear writhes as your warriors hack into them, spurred on by dreams of glory.

>>
>>38605651
It is many hours before the battle is truly over, and you sit on a rock to rest, watching as your clanmates start to gather up Tongueripper corpses into great piles to be burned.

“Ur, you fucking beast, I saw what you did to their chieftain. If we weren't both covered in Tongueripper gore and likely to catch some abyssal infection, I'd tell you to take me right here and now,” you hear a voice call, Ya'zada walking up to meet you, your mate drenched in blood from her own strike into the Tongueripper flank.

You grin, it has been a good day. The question is what you do now? Any speech you wish to make, or orders you wish to announce in the aftermath of the battle, as your warriors pick through the dead, this would be the time.

Its how swadia keeps getting wrecked in warband

And isn't that how the humies stomped the old orc empire? cause they were just doing orgy's nonstop
>>
>>38606311
I thought it was more the concentrated "All orcs must die!" efforts that all the races were working together in, except for that one race that got exiled with us...
>>
>>38606311
It got wrecked beacuse for some reason the orcs gods got pissed.
And our allies betrayed us.
And the humies cheated.
>>
>>38606405
It got fucked over because the orcs got too comfortable and lazy, the other kingdoms united against orckind, and the allies of the orcs(Sluagh and goblins) betrayed them.
Also the gods may have also abandoned orckind because, again, they were lazy piece of shit and didn't exactly live according to the gods' principles. Especially Skor'oz Zik, he was the first to leave orckind behind, because they were living too comfortably and weren't challenged.
Stagnation leads to ruin.

so... don't bother permanently conquering the lands beyond the wall, just keep doing massive raids every 10 years?

“Go get yourself cleaned up, I'll hold you to that later,” you grin, taking a moment to watch Ya'zada walk away before you rise from your rock.

“Burn the Tonguerippers, prepare our dead, we mourn the fallen, and tonight we celebrate our victory.” you shout out to your clan, some mixed cheers and roars of approval from the horde, though most are too exhausted to rouse much enthusiasm when they have hours of burning corpses ahead of them.

With that, you go to get yourself cleaned up, not that you usually mind, but Ya'zada was right, the blood of orcs corrupted by the abyss would most likely not be healthy to leave drying on your skin for any length of time.

You step back into your tent, finding Aleida cleaning a vicious wound on Sho'ka's arm, K'zala sat next to her with a poultice over her leg. Your mate looks up at you with a smile.

“Hey Ur, guess what, I killed two tonguerippers today fighting on the walls, not bad right,” she grins.

“Impressive,” you smirk, glancing over to K'zala, who stares back at you with her exotic eyes.

“Four,” K'zala whispers, a shy smile on her face.

“I keep telling you, the fourth one didn't count just because you were fighting him. He slipped on some blood and rolled down into the lava, quit trying to make my kill count look bad,” Sho'ka sighs, reaching out with her free arm to ruffle K'zala's hair.

“The Tonguerippers were deadly enemies. Impressive numbers for two who have fought so few battles. Though I'd expect nothing less from the mates I chose,” you grin, earning proud smiles from the pair.

You gesture for Inka to wash the blood off of you, your slave girl gladly preparing a bowl, eager to serve you. You glance across the tent as you wait for her to start, Lokasi and Aurora, both bound, both drenched in sweat and other fluids. Lokasi is barely conscious, collapsed in a puddle of drool and the aftermath of your earlier activities. Aurora seems to have come back to her senses, glaring malevolently at you from over her gag, but powerless to do anything.

It looks like Ya'zada and Ashuris aren't present right now, probably still out in the camp somewhere.

Inka gets to work, unbuckling your armor, her slim fingers running over your skin with undisguised lust as she cleans off the drying gore of dead Tonguerippers. The washing is slow going, not least of which because you have to remind Inka more than once that she is supposed to be washing you, not just reaching for your cock every few minutes.

Since you have most of your harem present, do you have anything you wish to speak to any of them about while you wait for Inka to finish?

While you have a captive audience, you decide to regale the group with the story of your triumph over Za'zarag and Krag'ur. May as well practice before the party, where you don't doubt you'll be telling it a dozen times over.

Your women look on in awe as you tell the tale, and Sho'ka is panting with barely contained lust by the end of the story.

Inka finally finishes her work, although she seems to be using it as an excuse to continue running her hands across your chest, breasts pressed against your back.

"Tell me Aleida. Kasimir, is he a sorcerer of some power? Is that the source of his daughter's ability?"

"I suppose he must be. I don't recall ever hearing of him calling himself one, but many stories of his exploits include talk of strange, inhuman powers," Aleida shrugs, watching as Inka's hands start to slide lower.

"Do you enjoy it? Watching the daughters of the man you hate most in the world getting fucked by me?" you grin.

Aleida gives a slight smile. "I don't really blame them for their father's actions, and given how easily he gave them away to Slaagyr, I doubt Kasimir cares enough to lose any sleep over his daughters turning into your concubines. I think I'm happy that Inka is here, she deserved better than being beholden to her father or his dragon ally. Same for this new one, I'm sure she'll realize how much better things are here in time."

Looking at the expression on Aurora's face, you doubt Inka's older sister agrees.

You wile away the hours idly playing with your women. Though you're planning to save the real entertainment for later, lounging in your tent drinking, talking, and enjoying the feel of soft female flesh in your hands is fun sometimes, a moment of calm in the chaos of leadership.

You rouse yourself a few hours later, the sun hanging low in the sky, sliding out from between your woman, donning your somewhat cleaner armor once more as you step out into the camp. You spot a great pyre a short distance from the camp, frowning at the way the thick column of smoke seems to twist into unnatural faces and grasping claws as it rises into the sky.

Ashuris steps up next to you, joining you in watching the pyre.

“Nothing to worry about, just residual abyssal corruption in the corpses. Your old shaman scribed runes to your smith god all around the pyre, just to be on the safe side.”

You grunt in acknowledgement, glancing over at Ashuris, the ogress looking dusty and bruised from the day's battles. While her bearing is still imperious, the slight sag in her shoulders tells you just how exhausted she is.

“Rasha, Larushka and I flooded the trench with more lava, burned away the fungus before it could spread. The insects the sorcerer summoned up have scattered, but it would be best to remind your clan that if they spot any of them, to kill them on sight, I doubt they can do much damage, but they are still creatures summoned up with abyssal magic, and it's best not to take the risk.”

“You did well today Ashuris. Without you and your coven's magic, many more of my clanmates would have fallen.”

“You don't have to thank me. Any sane practitioner of the magical arts would do their part to burn out abyssal corruption. No being on in this realm will mourn the passing of the Tonguerippers,” Ashuris sniffs, turning away.

You head down to the edge of the camp, where the bodies of the fallen Stonetusks have been laid out in preparation. Zo'rok turning to nod at you as you approach, your old friend sporting many scars from the day, a bandage wrapped around his forehead, covering his eye.

“Lose an eye?” you grunt, giving him a friendly slap on the shoulder.

“Nah, just scarred up the eyesocket, Y'zoa says she thinks I'm going to look real sexy when it heals. Like I wasn't before,” your friend replies, giving a snort.

“How many?”

“Thirty-eight. Lot less than I expected, still too many though,” Zo'rok sighs.

You glance around, ensuring that no-one is nearby.

“Did our traitor survive?”

“Of course, he may be a snivelling coward, but he's real damn good at being a snivelling coward, kept himself away from where the fighting was fiercest, and did just enough to help that no-one could call him out on it, the way I hear it. You want to do something about him then?”

Because he's a chump and why would any tell a chump like him anything that he didn't need to know? Interrogating him is a waste of time.
>>
>>38607303
>>Nothing yet
no pls, not yet.
>>
>>38607419
Yea, I was one of the few anons advocating interrogating Dra'koz, but no, no one wanted to because "he's just a chieftain, what would he know?".
>>38607434
He was only contacted by Aurora though, and she'd know who the spy is if she told him to help out another clan member.
>>38607447
Reminder that "he may be a snivelling coward, but he's real damn good at being a snivelling coward"
>>
By the way. We really need to talk about dragons. Honestly, I'm down with the whole idea of raping female dragons into submission. However, considering how much of a risk they are, I think we should wait to tackle any female dragons after one more blessing from Y'zagya Soka or whatever orc goddess of rape is called. So, until we get one more power boost I say we focus on elves, skinchangers and maybe go west a bit before we fight the goddess of war down there. Inb4 its female dragon guan yu.
>>
If we're doing, then at least make sure that nothing we eat/drink is poisoned, we can be struck basically at any time. Only people we trust 1000% can be near us and giving us food.
>>
Seems like nothing for now wins.

Do you still want to give Ya'zar a new slave tonight?

>Yes, communal slave
>Yes, give him Juk'ruk's, since Juk'ruk was halfassing the defense
>No
>>
>>38607465
>"he may be a snivelling coward, but he's real damn good at being a snivelling coward"
How is this relevant to anything?
>>
>>38607465
does not mean he has not been contacted since by someone else.
>>
>>38607431
Yeah, like seriously a real search, just have them stand at various points in the crowd or walk through it, maybe help herd the crowd so they're near everyone when they come/leave?
Also, wouldn't checking up abyssal taint give us a damn good reason to have everyone checked out by our mages?
>>38607467
It's Y'zagya Zoka, and yeah we aren't planning on going right now.
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, give him Juk'ruk's, since Juk'ruk was halfassing the defense
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, communal slave
Don't give him Juk'ruk's one, we don't want him to know we know about him being the spy
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, communal slave
He can have Juk'ruk's girl when we out him in future.
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, communal slave
Need a more solid reason to take away some ones slave.
>>
>>38607483
>>Yes, communal slave
we'll redistribute Juk'ruk's after we deal with him
>>
>>38607483
Yes, give him Juk'ruk's, since Juk'ruk was halfassing the defense.

Fuck it, this will make him think we still don't know he's the spy.
>>
>>38607483
>>Yes, give him Juk'ruk's, since Juk'ruk was halfassing the defense
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, communal
He'll get Juk'ruk's too when we kill him.
>>
>>38607483
>Yes, communal slave
He deserves to be rewarded.
And I would like to ask : are we going to move our clan out of the wastes elsewhere?
>>
>>38607583
No, this is fine right now, we cleaned it of abyssal shit, we'll soon have a well(still have caverns to explore later), have hunting ground, have fortifications, and are in a good position, not too close to any enemies.
Also, nowhere else to move to, jungle is unfamiliar and too dangerous.
>>
>>38607483
>>Yes, communal slave or first pick after us on the next slaves that come, whatever he prefers
>>
Alright, communal slave wins.

Writing.
>>
>>38607583
yes, somewhere halfway between the jungle (food water and wood) and the mine (iron)
>>
>>38607692

we are already halfway between the jungle and the mountains I think.

tomorrow we need to scout or new territory though
>>
>>38607692
That is exactly where we are now.
>>
I hope we can capture some nice smart humans who can work out an economical plan so we'll be able to sustain forests while still getting as much food from them as possible without destroying them.
Sustainable warfare is best warfare.

“No, nothing yet, just keep an eye on him, especially tonight. I don't want that worm getting any ideas about poisoning the celebrations,” you grunt.

“No need to worry, Ur, I've got a few orcs I picked out to keep an eye on him. He pulls anything, they'll make him regret it.”

You nod.

“Once the fire's burned out on the pyre for the Tonguerippers, Ku'zag says we can start the ceremony. Brutal fight, worst I've ever been in. We lost some good warriors today, Ur,” Zo'rok sighs.

“They died warrior deaths, glorious deaths. They get to drink, fight and fuck in the realms of our gods now, probably getting a better party than the rest of us are.”

“Feh, now you've made me depressed for a whole other reason, those bastards are probably neck-deep in orc women in the divine realms right now, and I'm stuck here with you talking about Juk'ruk.

Still, with all this talk of death I feel like it hasn't quite sunk in for a lot of the clan yet.”

“What?”

“We've still got that dragon in the mountains, and those freaky shapechangers in the jungle, and I'm sure we've got a lot of leftover abyssal filth to clear out of the Tongueripper territory, but... we won, Ur. The Stonetusk Clan rules everything from the wall to the Deep Wastes. If that isn't a step up in the world from where we were a few months ago, I don't know what is,” your old friend cackles.

You allow yourself a grin, from Ur'shal, warrior of the Stonetusk clan to Ur'shal, Warlord of the Wastes.

Well, it's a start.

Going to be stepping out in a few minutes, but if you have any questions you want to ask and this thread is still on the board when I return in an hour or so, I will answer them.
>>
>>38607897
Are we sending our magic guys to scout the clan while celebrating?
>>
>>38607897
Timeskip soon?

Maybe one of us building our forces for a few years before making any big moves?
>>
>>38607897
Good ending Warlord.
>>
>>38607965
Later, everyone's tired and wants to celebrate.
>>
>>38607971
Anon, no.
We still have shit to deal with, Slaggyr, dragonwaifus, skinchangers, meeting other clans in the deep waste, caverns below us, etc.
>>38607990
It's pretty important though, only then can we celebrate truly.
>>
>>38607959
Thanks for running. Are there any clans left in the wastes or is it all just stonetusk now?
>>
>>38607950
>>38607951
>>38607989
Glad you all liked it.

>>38607965
Your spellcasters have been checking out the clan for magic, you'll get a report on that soon.

>>38607971
Timeskip after the celebration since it will take a while for your clan to properly clear out and absorb all the new territory into yours. Probably more like a few months than a few years though.
>>
>>38607959
Thanks for the thread!
>>
>>38608029
Is the timeskip just going to be consolidating or will we have the option to do a few raids during it as well?
>>
>>38607897
>The Orc Warlord Quest begin now.
What? 37 threads and we just finished the intro? i feel betrayed.
>>
>>38608117
We were a clan member for a couple threads. Chieftan for the past 30. We can now officially call ourselves warchief/warlord.
>>
>>38608016
>Slaggyr,
cannot currently deal with
>dragonwaifus,
cannot currently deal with
>skinchangers,
Not wise to currently deal with
>meeting other clans in the deep waste,
Part of building our forces/the timeskip
>caverns below us,
Part of building our forces/the timeskip

We've dealt with almost all of the thigns we can at our current level, we need time to build our forces and get stronger before we can take on any of the larger level threats.

Time for training, organization, building infrastructure and raiding. And fucking.
>>
>>38608020
None that you know of, although there are apparently some orc clans who went deeper into the wastes, might be worth checking it out sometime.

>>38608033
No problem, thanks for playing.

>>38608060
I will be giving options on how to spend your time.

>>38608117
That's right, my quest's title has not been technically correct all this time, and there's nothing you can do about it!
>>
>>38608204
I do agree that we need to actually organize our army into something more than a mass of people.

Actually have a structured "army" with ranks and divisions.
>>
>>38608204
I'd think the caverns could be unique enough to not be timeskipped, also the diplomacy with other clans is pretty important.
>>38608252
That'd certainly please Zol'gor Tor.
>>38608237
Don't forget the magic.
>>
>>38608252
We have lieutenants.
I would be nice to have any orc with magical talent train under our shaman and Bra'kur.
And we should start expanding towards more sustainable lands.
Possibly look into the underground river, plot that out/figure out whats down there.
With that river could make at least a small/decent plot of land farm-able.
>>
>>38608237
Just a tip for the timeskip.

Do a "what we want individual characters to do" section where we tell people to focus on something (ie: Urshal learn level 1 blahblahblablah spell, Zorok worship cunning god, Dru'ak do blank)

Then do a "clan" section where we have major clan changes. (ie: god worship/setting up temples, organization/training or army, setting up infrastructure, beast training, etc, etc) With being able to delegate who leads these things. Like having Dru'ak lead the training of the army while he works on breaking his sorceress in his free time. Sho'ka and Vor'zal head up the dealing with beast training.
>>
>>38608237
For the timeskip you should include an option to have Kz'ala learn some melee from Lok'sai.

Along with the dozen other things we'll be deciding on.
>>
>>38608252
+1 for specialization over well-roundedness.
>>
Would the coven be able to flatten out land to make it ariable for farming?

Also would divine magic of Tak'zya Ska help with dealing with Skinchangers that are out of control? Cause if so once we get a church to her set up we can place any skinchanger halfbreeds that we pop out under their control, would make the best initiates to be raised under them, raised to worship her.
>>
>>38608376
>>38608427
Yeah, organizing the timeskip is going to be a long and involved process I'd wager.

Oh right, while I remember.

Favor.

>All named orcs who actively took part in the battle.
+1 Zul'orok Zhar

>Ur'shal
+1 Zul'orok Zhar, +1 Kul'zog Zor, +1 Zul'gor Tor, +1 Y'zagya Zoka

>Ya'zada

>Zo'rok

>Dru'ak
+1 Kul'zog Zor

>Or'kug

>Ya'zar
+1 Zul'orok Zhar, +1 Kul'zog Zor

>Vor'zal
+1 Kul'zog Zor
>>
>>38608489
Why Y'zagya Zoka for us?
>>
I really wished people could for fucking once resist throwing themselves at learning magic at the first opportunity.
There's a million things Ur'Shal needs to learn in order to become a more effective Chieftain and magic is not actually one of them.

It's just a massive timesink that we'll never have the opportunity to fully explore unless we give our other duties way too little attention and sitting around studying magic is not even a particularly orcish activity.

Our strength is that we're going to be a successful and inspiring Chieftain with numerous blessings from multiple deities, that's built like a brick shithouse, has the best gear in the clan and gets to throw around more rerolls than anyone else.
Personally using Sorcerer is not necessary for us to kick major ass and diminishes our other advantages because it requires a lot of time and effort to get anywhere.

The opportunity cost is huge and the payoff mediocre.
>>
Jesus, I ended my thread just in time today.

Connection has ground to a crawl in the past fifteen minutes for no apparent reason.

>>38608544
Because Za'zarag ate a lot of orcish females.
>>
>>38608489
How did our fugly ogre slaves do combat-wise in their fights with the Tonguerippers? Did they fight at all?
>>
>>38608489
So our slaves don't get favor from their gods when wrecking shit? Because they aren't doing it for their god, right?
>>
>>38608549
This. This right here. Ur'shal should be doing his best to earn boons rather than fuck around learning magic.
>>
>>38608549
Dude we only want to learn some basic simple spells, nothing major.

And the only real other things we could do with our free time is workout and train. Which is basically the same thing as thing in increasing our combat ability.

We just want a little something to fall back on and use in a pinch. No one wants to go full wizard here.

And 90% of the shit you mentioned we get without having to try for it. We have no other real good time timesinks for Ur.
>>
>>38608570
They were a very useful addition to the defenses on the wall, since they were able to match the tonguerippers strength-wise.

>>38608599
Pretty much, yeah.

Luckily you can use Y'zagya Zoka favor to let your slaves reroll.
>>
>>38608608
>best to earn boons
You don't try to earn boons, you get them for doing impressive shit. You cant just sit around and pray for them or ask for them.
>>
>>38608489
No boons for becoming Warlord of the Wastes?

The first Orc in forever to actually Lead his people?
>>
>>38608608
Well, that and improving his Command, his Negotiation, actually ruling his tribe and all the other things a chieftain is supposed to do on top of being a badass orc and fucking his harem is already going to consume a hell of a lot of time.

>>38608612
>Dude we only want to learn some basic simple spells, nothing major.
There is no such thing.
There's a prohibitive entry cost for casting any sorcery and even more if you want it to actually be useful.

If you want some minor magical effects to throw around for neat utility and stuff, that's EXACTLY what boons are for.
The only reason to actually learn Sorcery is to be become a Sorceror and that is simply not doable without literally spending months on learning even the basics.

The fact that this timeskip will be months long does NOT mean you can just throw month at a project without paying a serious opportunity cost for doing so.
>>
>>38608658
We likely will. Once we get to sleep/day ends, we might have a choice of who we "dedicated" the battle to. And possibly get a boon from that god.
Or you know, it may not happen and be situation.
>>
>>38608640
And you can't do impressive shit when you spend months sitting in your tent and learning sorcery as opposed to being out there and acting like a proper orc.
>>
>>38608770
>>38608785
>>38608612
I would like some clarifications on what exactly we'll have to do and what exactly we'll get.

Also other ideas people have for how Ur should spend his timeskip. Cause even if it's not a great decision it's better than fucking around all day. We can't raid every day and we need something actually beneficial to fill our downtime.
>>
>>38608911
We have day to day duties of a chieftain, planning our next movements and dicsussing new developments with our council, keeping the harem entertained, breaking in new conquests, keeping an eye on the spy situation, learning languages and learning more lore to occupy ourselves with during the downtime, which only amounts to the time it takes to recover for another raid anyways.
>>
>>38609012
Most of that is all bullshit that is situational of take no real time.

We have 16 hours (that's already cutting out time for our harem) in a day to fill with shit. Delegating what our clan does shouldn't take more than the first 4-6. We need a side task to work on, something to focus on that will better ourself.

I prefer development of combat powers since some of our recent fights have been close. Be it learning a bit of magic, just straight sparring and training, pure muscle development, etc, etc
>>
>>38609091
If we have 16 hours during which we're up and about in any shape to be learning magic, do combat training or pure muscle development we're clearly done recovering and can go out on another raid.
>>
>>38609129
You can't raid 24/7

We'll lose to many people and the clan will be out of warriors.

Even if we only lose 5% of the people we go on a raid with, or 3%, That's still to many to be raiding even once a week. Once every 2-3 weeks should be good for a raid or we'll lose waaay to many orcs and we'll run out of warriors. Not to mention to much/to constant raiding will cause our enemies to bring up reinforcements. Which means either more Slaggyr attacks or the Elves call up the serious Calvary from the south where they have cities in the tens of thousands.

Either way to much raiding get's us shitstomped.
>>
>>38606269
>Reminder that we'll bathe in Slaggyr's blood

Question for Warlord. If we bathe in the blood of a dragon we slay, does our skin become as tough as dragon scale? Is that a think in this setting?

Are there legends about it, because that's the sort of thing that would make it into legends.
>>
>>38609311
No it is not a thing, although there are legends about it, which most historians believe is a result of the dragon's killer earning a boon for their impressive feat, rather than any property of the dragon's blood itself.
>>
Did we earn any boons today? Ur was pretty fucking impŕessive.
>>
>>38609976
Yeah. Will sort that out soon.
