Read in Peter Cullen's voice for maximum effect.
>The year is Space Era 209. It has been fifteen years since the human race had it's first space conflict, the One Year War.
>After suing for a tenuous peace with the Earth Sphere Federation, President Garma Zabi reorganized the Principality of Zeon into a Republic once again, ending the conflict.
>However the ESF's illusion of control over the colonies was shattered by the devastating results of the One Year War, causing many colony Sides to declare themselves independent nations, such as the PLANT colonies of Side 5 and the aristocratic colonies of Side 6 colonies of Cosmo Babylonia.
>The increasing political pressure both without the ESF and within it's member nations have created an unstable political balance waiting to be shattered at a moment's notice....

This is a likely one-shot quest taking place in a Banpresto style mashed/compressed even timeline where multiple gundam universes and events are happening.

The Starfleet flows by above and around you and you feel your heartbeat as you grip the controls and push down on the pedals of your linear cockpit.
You feel the vibration of the MS's thrusters as it kicks off the surface below you and the stars change direction.

'-are you you cheeky LITTLE SHIT?!' Leo's voice growls through heavy Minovsky interference and you grin at his confusion.

The white surface of Luna grows larger as you fall towards it and Leon's exposed back and your raise your 90mm and hold down the trigger, sending a burst of automatic cannon fire strafing across the ground as you pass by, bright neon red splatters of paint impacting across the back of his Rick Dom and you laugh as you land in front of him, dust kicking up as you bounce into another rocket-propelled jump.

'Oh FUCK you Rush!' he says through the static.

'What did I tell you dude? Three dimensions! Space is totally different!' you say, still laughing.

'Your ass is grass anyway, I've got you-'

'Nah, I tagged your reactor on that first pass. Rick Dom armor or not if these rounds were live your reactor core would be breached and you'd be sucking on nuclear plasma.'

'What?! Bullshit, not in the first pass like that!!' he protests.

'So check your Impact sensors if you don't believe me!'

There's a pause as he presumably does just that.

'...shit. The fuck does he DO that?' he mutters.

'The channel is still solid, I can hear you still Leo,' you say with a smile.

'Go FUCK yourself Spacenoid!' he responds, cutting off the transmission.

You fly through the vacuum again in your GM, when suddenly your laugher is cut off as something heavy splats onto your shield!

You glance around at the 'ground' view provided by the 360 cockpit view, and finally see it as you pass over it when you increase magnification by x3; a GM Sniper with a high-bore rifle loaded with paint rounds.

Shit. You spent so much time messing with Leo that you forgot Ohara was still out here with her MS. She didn't taunt you or anything, she just took a position and waited for somebody to come within range.

You can't believe she managed to ACTUALLY hit you at that distance and at the speed you're moving! She'd have to know where you were going BEFORE you got there almost....

'The evidence keeps amassing...,' you mutter under your breath. You have a $50 bet with Leo that she's a Newtype, but he doesn't believe in them.

You reverse your Vernier thrusters and feel the G-Force Rock your cockpit and point and aim at your rifle sending a burst of fully automatic paint rounds her way scattering moon dust around her position.

No way you hit her from here like this but the dust will keep her from doing another one of her insane shots like she always does!

You fly over the ruins of a broken colony mirror almost 20 kilometers long and see the reflection of your MS; a GM Custom with a standard weapons loadout and add-on packs to boost performance a bit, all painted in dark blue with black highlights; dad's colors.

'Shit, I gotta call mom after this...,' you realize. Dad would get you not sending a message back to him; he's been in the military since you were a kid, but mom's never been fond of it and will think you skimped out on your messages again.

It IS a reference but not what you're thinking of. Technically Titans colors are just straight black, but the way that looks on 80's TV animation made them color it a washed-out blue.

You duck behind the cover of a shattered 440 meter long Zeon ship that was towed out into the firing range for cover and target practice, a Gwazine you think. The red paint is almost entirely gone now, just scars and bullet holes. The mega particle cannons and fusion reactior were stripped of course; nobody wants a weapons firing test to become an impromptu "surviving a nuclear fusion detonation in space" test.

As you duck behind the hull and hide in an alcove and check the damage. Your ammo counter is a big red blinking 0, so you eject the magazine and slap in your spare, lifting the shield where Ohara tagged you to see where she hit.

The big red splat is on the upper third of the shield right where your head unit would be if your shield hadn't been raised out of pure coincidence as you jumped. Even WITH the shield up the high-caliber rifle round might have punched through, and if she'd been using a BEAM rifle instead of a slugthrower...

'Damn Ohara, you scary. AND hot. But mostly scary right now,' you mumble, taking position to ambush her, reading your rifle.

Your sensor lights up with heat flares through the Minovsky field distortion and you raise an eyebrow; it's coming from the wrong side of the field from where Ohara was.

Well, it fits with Dad being a soldier in the One Year War who was in a committed enough relationship to have children. And with the fact that his lover was always with him, it makes sense that our mom wouldn't be used to soldiers not getting a chance to send letters. It's a possibility, I suppose.

You frown.
Nobody else is supposed to BE out here. What if this was a live-fire exercise for God's sake.

You won't be able to contact the intruder through a radio channel with this much static and a laser channel needs a better lock then you have right now, so you'll have to go out.

You jet out of cover and at the horizon, launching up the red flare from your shoulder launchers to denote exercise terminated.

You REALLY wanted to nail Ohara too, that would be sick with her toting that big gun...besides, it'd give you something to talk about with her.

'Yo assdouche!' you say most in your most professional voice as you get close enoigh to establish a laser channel. 'You're in a fire exercise zone, you can't be in here....'

You trail off when you see that it is NOT some civilian shuttlecraft.

'What?' you say in shock, your channel still open as the weird MS raises it's left hand.

'RUSH, DODGE!' Ohara's voice comes from your commlink, and you boost back just as a burst of quad-linked machine gun fire flares out from it's clawlike left hand, raising your shield to catch the rounds as they strafe through the vaccume at you!

'Holy SHIT!' you shout, flying back.

>[Get close and defend yourself!]

Well, lets see. Taking into consideration that we're most likely armed with practice gear, we'll be lucky if our vulcans are stocked. Taking distance on something that is using ballistic rounds (and meta-wise is equipped to deal with fast units that evade a lot, as that was the trend during the UC120-ish era) without any form of functioning ranged weapons of our own is signing a death warrant.

We'll get close, and we'll use the beam saber. Between that and a shield, we'll have a better fighting chance.
>>
>>38494477
>>[Keep evading, get to cover!]
>>
'Shit shit shit!' you say as you jet back, keeping your shield raised in defense as it raises a small pistol-ish weapon in it's right as it tries to zone you with machinegun fire.

You dodge at the last second as flash of bright red-pink beam energy flashes out where you were just a moment before!

'Fuck, a beam spray gun?!' you say as it closes faster then you can escape! Your shield has anti-beam coating but at close range it won't stop a beam spray gun!

You feel death breathing down your neck as it closes just before a big red SPLAT hits the MS across the face, blinding it, allowing you to dodge the next shot!

'Nice shooting!' you compliment Ohara.

'Nice shooting with PAINT rounds!' she clarifies, a bit more animated then usual. 'We have to get back to Anaheim, we can't fight that thing with just our vulcans and beam sabers!'

'You're right, Purpleton would be TOTALLY pissed if I trashed the Gimmy before I finished testing!' you say with a grin on your face, feeling your blood pumping.

'She's ALREADY pissed that you painted it in your stupid colors and WHY AREN'T YOU RUNNING ALREADY?'

You turn and boost back to the cover where Ohara is hiding, ducking behind a nearby piece of colony debris, looking over to where her GM-S is crouched.

'I thought maybe I'd ask if he'd give us a pass, maybe she slept with this one too!' you quip, checking your shield. Not too much damage.

'T...that's not funny!'

'Then why are you laughing?'

'Because I'm SCARED!'

'Don't be,' you say reply, your voice serious again.

'Don't be WHAT?!'

'Scared.'
Your voice is full of absolute confidence and control, and you hear her let out a shaky breath and then inhale once more.

'You head back to Anaheim, I'll distract the guy. I got a pretty solid look at his hardware back there, I think I know what I'm up against,' you command. You don't outrank her, but your voice tells her you aren't taking "no" for an answer.

'Okay. He's arrogant. He thinks you're helpless since all you have are paint rounds,' she says suddenly.

'Oh yeah? What's that, woman's intuition or something?' you say with a smirk.

'...or something.'

'Riiiight,' you say with a smile on your face. Oh yeah. Leo owes you that fifty.

'You launch all of your distress flares and go and throw up the rifle as you run. I got this guy's number now.'

'Rush? Don't die, okay?' she says, her voice quiet again.

'You're too pretty to watch me die!'

'Huh?'

She launches all five of her remaining flares; red and green into the air and tosses up her rifle just as she dashes forward at full burn!

The MS takes the shot you knew he would and aims his surest-kill weapon (the beam spray gun) at the moving object surrounded by bright lights; the rifle, which is now AWAY from either of your positions and in the opposite direction of where you are!

The pinkish-red beam shot blows the rifle, setting off the primers and causing if to dramatically burst just as you jet around the opposite side, distracting him with a full discharge of paint rounds splatting all over his machine!

He turns; launching three explosive projectiles from his left shoulder at you, hoping to catch you with one!

'NOT FAST ENOUGH!' you shout, flicking the vulcan trigger and unloading the CWIS at the rockets, blasting them apart and causing him to fly back from the explosion!

He raises his beam spray gun, now having enough time to cycle the next shot, so you THROW your shield at him, nailing him right in the right shoulder and shearing off the entire arm from the force and mass of the impact, sending his auto-balancer flailing wild and forcing him to try and right himself!

You reach up, flick the beam saber controls and the blue flare of high-energy plasma streaks out from behind your back as you draw, hitting it exactly in the waistline!

You pull it through the MS, landing posed on one knee with your saber in one hand and nothing in the other as the Minovsky reactor on his suit goes critical and explodes behind you, illuminating everything around you and casting a shadow where your MS stands!

'Gotcha,' you say with a grin, exhaling.

Ten minutes later you're in the hanger at Anaheim, yanking the helmet off your blue hair and laughing as the GM is lowered into place via the lift.

The cockpit opens and you see Ohara and Leo standing on the walkway as it lowers in front of your GM's torso and you stand up.

'I can't believe you're alive!' Ohara says, her long brown hair free-floating in zero-G.

'Thanks for the vote of confidence,' you say dryly.

'Oh! Sorry, I mean-' she says, shaking her head, not realizing you're joking at first.

'Christ Arkbird, what WAS that shit you pulled back there?!' Leo barks, his black hair messy from his helmet and his glasses in place as you unzip the top of your pilot suit and pull it down, airing it out from all the sweating.

No, Timono-style mecha heroes always have the most bizarre names, most of them totally foreign to any culture on Earth. Amusingly, any character of his that's Japanese tends to have fairly normal Japanese names, and this seems to carry into other Gundam media as well most of the time.

8MST's "Aina Sahalin" is for instance a pretty weird name, as is "Eladore Massis", but "Shiro Amada" is not only a believable Japanese name, it's a fairly boringly average one.

'Hey, don't ignore me!' Leon says as you proceed to completely do so, walking up to her as you straighten your hair, running a hand through it.

'Mm,' Ohara replies with a shake of her head. 'I was more worried about you actually. I can't believe you actually killed that MS with just your vulcans and beam saber!'

'You helped. As soon as you told me he was arrogant I knew he wasn't going to be cautious. It let me catch him off-guard.'

'I...I..well, if you think it's okay...I-I mean if that's alright with you and you don't mind...," she stammers, blushing furiously.

'It is, I am and I don't,' you answer just as smoothly, cutting her off with a smile. 'I gotta write-up the after-action report, but I'll pick you up outside work afterwords, okay?'

'I...sure!' she says with a smile and a nod, seeming not displeased about this development.

'Walk with me?' you offer, heading down the maintenance walkway with with her, wrapping one arm around her shoulder as she folds her hands behind her, with her nodding in response as you do so.

She turns on her heel and storms out of the office, and you muster your resolve to not look at the way her ass fills out her suit as she stomps away before turning back to Mr Wong.

"That was good. I enjoyed that," Wong says with a smile, hands folded beneath his chin. "Good meeting everybody!"

"So, the footage?" you ask your boss, taking a deep breath and calming down, folding your arms as you lean back against the window.

"Yes, I saw it," Wong says, tapping a few buttons on his flip-up desk console, causing a holo-overlay on the wall to show images of your fight. "Did you recognize the mobile suit model?"

"No," you admit with a shake of your head. "It might be a new ZAFT model from the PLANT colonies at L5, but almost all of their suits are basically just Zeon tech repurposed with different weapons and some of their personal higher-end tech additions. I mean the GINN suits we've been seeing is basically just an F3 Zaku with some design aesthetics altered. I can't think of anyone making suits with goggle sensors off the top of my head."

"Our computer imagers didn't recognize it either. Buuuut...it bears a striking resemblance to Cosmo Babylonia's newest front-line mobile suit, doesn't it?" he says, pressing a few more buttons and bringing up a blurry image of a different mobile suit.

You definitely see the similarities; same goggle sensors, same lance-weapon thing on the side.

>>
>>38499041
Very. They're Zeon if Zeon didn't try to pretend to be about Spacenoid rights. They're much more straightforward about their desire to conquer the world, makes them dangerous. Though they do have this weird thing for exterminating colony populations with flying buzzsaw robots, that's not very practical.

> the PLANT colonies at L5
Given that this universe has proper O'Neil Cylinder colonies, do engineers make fun of the PLANTs for their ridiculous hourglass design? Please tell me they do. Because my god are the PLANTs stupid.
>>
>>38499195
There's a LOT of different colony types in the Space Era.

The O'Neil Island-3's are the most common as well as the most livable, but just as there's different houses in the world they have different colony types, such as Ironwheel colonies (as per Wing), Bernal Sphere colonies, and PLANT's weirdo hourglass colonies.

PLANT-style colonies are unique to L5 and the PLANT government however.
>>
>>38499265
That's fine, other types of colony are cool, too. I quite like the other types, O'Neil is just the go-to standard. I just care that the PLANTs are a weird outlier that no one respects as a serious work of engineering. Because they are so stupid. Honestly, I'm not convinced that the Bloody Valentine Incident was a terrorist action, I think Junius 7 just flew apart on account of its terrible structural supports.

"So they've finally started arming themselves, huh?" you say with a sigh, closing your eyes and shaking your head.

"You sound unsurprised," he notes, still amused.

"No. After the War ended pretty much everybody off Earth was making breakway space nations. The Riah Republic at Side 6 is officially neutral, but the PLANT colonies at L5 couldn't delcare themselves a separate government fast enough, on TOP of openly supporting human enhancement research and admitting Coordinator citizens," you point out.

Though the L5 colonies open support of human enhancement and especially the genetically augmented in-utero humans known as Coordinators was something of an open secret among many of the other colonies. The Federation was of course the last to know, which says a lot about how in-touch it is with Spacenoids.

"When Cosmo Babylonia was formed it really was just part for the course, especially with so many of Zeon's snooty-ass aristocatic caste running there after Garma Zabi reorganized Zeon back into a Republic. It was only a matter of time before they start building mobile suits I guess."

'I just had a shouting match with the last who's theoretically my boss,' you point out. You refuse to consider her anything other then your 'theoretical' boss. 'In what military in space do you think I'd last more then half an hour?'

'I'm just curious, that's all. Your piloting scores are routinely exceptional despite a lack of practical experience, and your technically apptitude is so great that using adjustments you personally made to the GM Custom Powered's macro computer performance was increased by almost 15%. That's impressive Mr Arkbird. Any military in the Earth Sphere would want a pilot candidate with test scores like that."

You shrug. "I love working with mobile suits, I'm just not much of a soldier."

"Fair enough. You head home, you did good work today," he nods, and you turn to leave with a wave, the electronic door closing behind you.

>INTERLUDE

Wong Yanfat watched Rush Arkbird leave, and then opened up the side door, where his guest had been waiting.

"What do you think? Is he one?" he asked the blonde man in the leather jacket.

"Him? Nah. He's not WEIRD enough. Earthnoids always think any Spacenoid who can pilot a mobile suit well is a Newtype. He's definitely good though. Play the footage again," he asked nodding at the wall projector.

Wong pressed a button and once again Arkbird's fight against the Crossbones Vanguard mobile suit played. He paused it during the daredevil toss of the shield that severed it's arm.

"And this was his FIRST real combat engagement?" Wong's visitor asked with a smile.

"Indeed. Will he do? I know his father is in London Bell, and given your prior record....,"

"Nah, he's fine. Londo Bell isn't as bad as the rest of the ESF. But he'll be fine for the project. Thanks for taking my past into account though, I owe you."

"Not a problem," Wong replied. "A little hard to control though, isn't he?"

"Heh," the visitor said with a smirk. "He actually kinda reminds me of me way back when."

It's not from the show, it's from the games and manga. There's a running joke that Johnny Ridden keeps getting confused with Char, due to them both being blonde-haired Zeon aces who paint their mobile suits red( though Char's really more of a dark pink than a true red). It's kind of a shame, Johnny actually had a better service record than Char, it's not fair that Char keeps getting the recognition for his missions. Char doesn't even know it's happening, it's not like it's an intentional credit grab. People just keep doing it for some reason. Poor Johnny.

ok thank you kind anon now that its been explained to me thats pretty funny actually.
>>
>>38501075
Johnny Ridden is a character nicknamed "Red Lightning" that debuted in a spin-off model and manga series as a Zeon pilot with a red-and-black color scheme (as opposed to Char's red and...well, pink basically) who's technically the highest-scoring ace pilot in the ENTIRE war, including Amuro Ray (the hero of the original Gundam series) and Char himself at a whopping 125-odd individual MS kills.

He's kinda like Star War's Wedge Antilles in a lot of ways; kind of a normal guy without special powers common to Gundam heroes, but nonetheless a truly spectacular pilot.

It's a recurring joke that because of their nearly identical color schemes and nicknames that he ges mistaken for Char or Char gets credit for what he does. Even funnier, when they DO show up at the same time Char tends to get his nickname wrong or forget Johnny's name entirely.

You head outside and access a public terminal, dialing your parent's residence in Vaun Braun City.

Thankfully your parents live on Luna, otherwise this call would be impossible; you'd think with all the technology being dumped into mobile suit development they'd have figured out true Earth-to-space communications but nope. Thankfully the moon has deeply buried landlines between the major settlements.

After a minute of ringing your mother picks up and smiles happily when she sees your face.

'Hi sweety! I'm knew you'd be calling!' she says happily. She's wearing some kinda apron. She looks great, which is probably because she's only 34 years old.

'What, like a Newtype thing? You heard bells and then the phone rang?' you joke.

'Oh you're just like your father! You know that sort of thing doesn't happen as much to me anymore since the War ended. Honestly I don't miss it much. I think maybe the human race isn't ready for the kind of....acceptance needed for 'special' people," she says, sounding sad about it.

You suppose she's got more cause then most to know what Oldtypes will do to Newtypes given half the chance, but she refuses to hold a grudge about it.

'I just wanted to call and say hey. I gotta hoof it soon to do something though,' you admit, pointing a thumb behind you.

'Meeting a girl?' she asks, smiling brightly.

'How....yeah, meeting a girl.'

'Her....name is....Setsuko?' she says, closing her eyes and pausing as she says it.

You sigh, closing your eyes and placing the earpiece of the phone to your forehead in annoyance before putting it back in place and responding.

'What happened to "that sort of thing not happening much anymore"?' you ask sardonically.

'She's special, Rush. Her....self touches yours," she says, looking for the right words. 'You can't feel it....but it's there, even now.'

She's getting all weird again.
You resolve to bring this conversation back to earth...or the Moon anyway.

So Yuu and Marion are our adopted parents, then, and "Arkbird" is our birth family's name that we've retained to remember them by?
>>
'Yeah, I'm kinda hoping that her self will be touching my self ma. Sort of the whole idea,' you point out.

'Oh honey you make it sound so dirty!' she admonishes. 'Besides, you should be careful about that. Her presence is...heavy somehow.'

'I gotta go ma,' you say, bidding her farewell and then hanging up.

Okay, so she IS Newtype then.
Answers a few of your questions. Maybe you can use that as a bridge into further conversation....she seems really shy most of the time, or at least kinda reserved.

'I guess so. Mom....I guess "felt" is the right word? She felt you too, somehow,' you admit.

'Could she? I've known about her since I first met you. Her presence hangs over you almost all the time. It's scarred, but whole. Inspiring in a weird kind of way. Perseverance,' she explains (or tries to anyway).

'What brought asking me out anyway?' she wonders.

'Hey, hold on a minute...' you say to Setsuko, nodding at her and getting up to walk over to them.

There's a blonde guy about your age, a guy with a brown hair and a moustache who looks to be doing most of the bothering, and a balding guy who's hanging back a bit.

'Yo dude, it's pretty clear they're not interested," you point out, walking up to them.

The moustache guy grimaces in annoyance at you. He looks like he's been drinking already.

'Who the hell asked you kid?' he asked.

'Lay off it Monsha,' the balding guy says. 'We're due over at Anaheim in the morning anyway.'

'SHUT it Kacricon!' Monsha says to his ally before looking back at you. 'Spacenoids all think they're better then us!'

The blonde shrugs. 'It's not really their fault if they're so deluded. I just can't figure why they would when they LOST the One Year War!'

'See? Jerid gets it!'

You smirk, shaking your head.

'What?!' the blonde guy says, taking umbrage.

'Isn't Jerid a faggot's name?' you ask, unable to help yourself.

"Why YOU-!" Jerid begins, grabbing you by the collar of your jacket, but before either of you can do anything an explosion rocks the area, causing all of you to fall down from the force of the blast!

You get up and rush over to see Setsuko, who fell out of her stool as people begin panicking and screaming around you.

'Are you alright?' you ask helping her up, and she nods, rubbing the back of her head. You both head outside to see a literal hole in the sky maybe a dozen or so kilometers down from here.

"A breach in the ceiling?!" you say in shock. They'll be able to seal it before the air escapes easily enough but anyone who was under it is already dead....

"Goddammit! Who the hell-' you begin, but your answer comes without you needing to ask it when a red and white mobile armor flies suddenly overhead, it's torso rotating and straightening until it becomes a mobile suit!

'G....Gundamu?!' you say in shock as it lands some distance away!

Sorry, had to say it in Engrish!

Setsuko shakes you out of it. "We need to get back to the hanger! There's no Federation forces nearby, we can help if we get to our mobile suits!'

'Right!' you agree, hopping inside the rented car with her and turning the key, jetting off towards headquarters!

Hey, assholes, Operation Meteor's supposed to go the other way! You're headed away from Earth, not towards it. It's the big blue thing, how do you get this lost?

You floor it along the street, keeping your eye on the mobile suit to see where it's going, only to be forced to swerve as another explosion rocks the area, blowing apart the street and trees of the park nearby!

You barely manage to not crash as your e-car skids to a halt, and then you look over at what caused the explosion, another mobile suit falling nearby. It's a Gundam too...and it's not moving?

The moment lasts an eternity as you see the red winged Gundam turn and fire machinecannons on it's shoulder at something you can't see that's also in the colony and you look back at the fallen mobile suit.
Then you get out of the e-car and run.

'Rush, WAIT!' Setsuko shouts as you dash for the fallen machine.

'Get back to headquarters and get me backup! I'm going to hold it off!' you proclaim as you reach the side of the fallen mobile suit.

You climb up the side, making your way towards the hatch and opening it from the outside, still hearing the loud mechanical whine of cannon fire in the backround.

The pilot is wearing an Anaheim Electronics maintenance uniform for some reason, but from the way his head is hanging and the bloody smear on his head, he's dead. He wasn't even strapped in.

'That's what you get for not buckling your seat belt pal,' you say, hauling him as quickly and unceremoniously out of the machine and pushing him over the side and hopping in and strapping yourself to the seat, closing the hatch.

The console and panoramic cockpit slowly light up, and you see the console light up as message appears.

>WELCOME BACK [ERROR] PILOT
>ERROR OCCURRED IN TAKE OFF
>RE-INITIATE?
>Y/N?

You press Y, and the machine fully boots to life, and you force the mobile suit to it's feet, letting the auto-balancer take over as it gets on one knee and it's green eyes light up.

>INITIATING COMBAT MODE

>COMBAT MODE ACTIVE

"Okay buddy...let's see how you really fly!" you say to yourself, the red Gundam, and the one you're in all at once.....

And I'll stop here for tonight.
Not exactly a COMPLETE story by any means, but hey; was a fun little thing I wanted to do!

Welcome.
I will be switching back to WHQ next time, almost certainly next Tuesday.
>>38505490
I could probably do that actually.
I'm trying to keep WHQ on a Tues/Thurs schedule unless something comes up that disrupts it like it did recently, but Gundam's an easy setting to do stories in admittedly and I'm a huge fan of the series.

Might keep up with this on occasion if folks care enough, though I feel as though this thread started too late in the day. Stupid Pacific Northwest Timezones....

Welcome anon.
