You just shrug, sopping up the last of your soup with your bread before you push it away from you.

“Ready to lose?” says the redhead.

They stare at each other a little more after that, then suddenly slam their drinks back chugging as fast as they can.

Both let out a big sigh as they slam their glasses back down, even as you finish yours.

“I’ll let you back out now if you want Morri,” says the redhead, “Don’t wanna knock out your bedwarmer before you even get there.”

“Fuck, off, bitch,” says Morrigan, pouring herself another drink.

“Your loss,” says the redhead, doing the same.

You just shake your head, pouring another for yourself. You think this is kinda fun really.

Several hours and three bottles later, you set your glass down, that nice little buzz in your head coming back. Morrigan and the red head don’t seem to be doing so well however as they’re slurring their words and wobbling on their stools.

You look over at Morrigan, whose head is resting on your shoulder.

“Nevemin…” says Morrigan, attempting to stand up but falling back down to her seat, “gonna hava carry me hom.”

You nod as Morrigan pulls out another wad of bills and slaps them on the table. As you turn to drink the last of your drink, you feel a sudden weight on you as two arms latch around your neck and something wraps around your waist.

Turning confusedly to try and see what’s on you, you see Morrigan’s face and catch a breath full of the burning stuff from Morrigan.

“Whayya look so confused bout?” says Morrigan, “Gota carry me. Grab mlegs.”

You nod at Morrigan and grab the legs wrapped around your waist, a chuckle coming from Doc as you march out the door with Morrigan clinging to your back.

Walking down the hall finds the other doors closed, meaning Nem and Cath are probably already asleep, especially since you supposedly have a mission. Morrigan’s room is a bit of a mess as you walk in, some clothes on the floor as you try to determine the best way to set Morrigan down.

Eventually deciding it’s best to simply sit down on the bed, you do so, only to have Morrigan stay attached to you.

“Morrigan?” you say as she remains holding onto your waist and around your neck.

You wait a little more, but Morrigan seems to have finally fallen asleep judging from how she’s breathing. The problem is that she hasn’t let go of you or even loosened her grip. You’re going to have to pry her off of you if you want to go sleep in your own bed. There are…well there are three options.

You decide that it’s best to let Morrigan sleep, you aren’t sure you want to try to wake her up especially when she’s like this. She did say you were supposed to ask her…but she’s currently asleep and you can’t really ask her. So you’re stuck really.

Therefore…laying down it is. You manage somehow, to lay down with Morrigan still gripping you and pull the blanket over you. It’d be comfortable…except for the fact that you’re still wearing your pistol belt and Morrigan’s legs wrapped around your waist make for an awkward sleeping position. Eventually you settle in, though it isn’t a very good rest for you.

You nod at her, slowly uncurling from your position on the floor so that you can sit upright against the wall.

“Jeez…” says Morrigan, looking at you as you watch her, “You’re really something aren’t you?”

You remain still, wondering if it’s going to be ok to go soon.

“Go to bed Billy,” says Morrigan finally, “We’ve got a mission tomorrow, get some sleep.”

You nod, scrambling upright and out of her door, though you remember not to slam it so you don’t wake anyone else up. You manage to make it to your room, grabbing all of your blankets and wrapping yourself up in them as you lie on the floor. You don’t dream the rest of the night, you don’t want to.
