Previous Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/38068246/
Our Current Stats: http://pastebin.com/iahm4JSj (Please have a look at them, but don't feel obligated to read it all in one sitting- use it as a guideline if you're drawing a blank or need some contextual information as I've essentially compiled every piece of information that's relevant to our civilization.)
Our Current Bestiary: http://pastebin.com/TWY0QfWA (Please have a look, but don't feel obligated to read it in one sitting- it's VERY extensive and currently in "alpha" since I'd like to make an illustrated pdf.) *updated: including new animals and all the new Gods*

The Great Progenitor has been defeated, normality has returned to your section of the world, but many new developments have taken place due to his absence: it is a matter of opinion on whether they are good or bad and it will be up to you on how you personally take advantage of your new world and it's opportunities.

>+/-Ecological Development: Creatures Swarm
>The Great Progenitor's death has left behind a massive skeleton where it had been slain and as the last few scraps of meat and marrow are picked away from it's bones; an overwhelming plethora of fish, reptiles, birds, marine mammals, and all walks of life both big and small are flourishing in great abundance. This, however, naturally attracts the attention of even larger animals just as much as it provides a plethora of food and resources.
(2nd post incoming, please be patient)
>>
>+/-Ecological Development: The Dragons have Returned
>The Great Progenitor's influence discouraged the nesting and habitation of numerous Wyverns and Giant Reptiles such as the Boiling Lizards and DRAGONS. Dragons are not but a simply large "wyvern", Dragons are not to be trifled with: They never stop growing, live for hundreds of years, lay hundreds of eggs at a time, they breath fire and inspire a great amount of fear, respect, and cultural significance in the southern continent. Rumor has spread on the mouths of Southern Cyclopean Sailors that a few Dozen Dragons have already begun nesting on the Volcanic island within the bay of the southern continent: fattening up on whales, wyverns, marine reptiles and seals so they may lay their eggs.

>-Ecological Development: The Zizz Spares you, but not the Plains.
>The Great Progenitor's corpse has been picked clean and nothing substantial remains to be eaten save for scraps only fit for the fish.
>The however must feed and so he is taking it out on the plains: Once again bringing great destruction, disaster, turmoil, and hardship for the lands.
>The Zizz is not but a simple bird: His red plumed body blankets the world and replaces the sky, at any moment his great pointed beak spears the heavens to effortlessly pluck up Mammoths, Paraceratheriums and entire herds of roving cattle.
>The Zizz is not but a simple bird: He is massive, he is the sky, he is the air; he brings with him a great and terrible stifling wind and great pillars of thunderous lightening strike the earth below him. The Sky is clear of both beasts and natural weather as if even the storms themselves are afraid of being consumed.

The Map has also been updated with a "coloured" political cloud so you can get a feel for our 'territories'- Red is our Civ, Purple is Gorgon Civ, and Blue is Southern Civ. Alright guys, sorry for the wait:
You may now roll. D20 for Actions. D100 for Ideas. I'll pick "Three-ish"- same as usual.

And I was wondering... if we've set up a standardized celebration for the death of the Progenitor.

I had an idea of making it some sort of Olympics style thing, where sporting events are designed to mimic the trials and tribulations experienced in the progenitor's threat and then downfall.

It could be a nice way to reach out playfully and diplomatically to other races.

I also drew our baby gods by the way. They are too cute.

>Undertake a quest to capture & tame Boiling Lizards.
>Roll 8/20
>Failure. -Rise in Beasts complicates the expedition

The South is more than happy to assist you in your endeavors to capture and tame a Boiling lizard or at the very least obtain some of their eggs for capture, but the Volcanic island they dwell on has become an increasingly dangerous place. Their home has always been a stable rookery for boiling lizards, but during recent times it's skies have become infested with flocks of Wyverns and even a Dragon or two are now being spotted- slowly gliding over the warm volcanic winds as they bring back whales and prep their nests.

You do not manage to capture any boiling Lizards: The expedition doesn't go tremendously bad, but everyone agrees to get out before people start getting eaten or burned alive.

>The "Volcanic Island
>The Volcanic island -for those who don't remember- is the island just within the bay of the southern continent. It is a land mirred and ruined by constant Volcanic activity with a charred landscape and sparse vegetation. It has become something of a massive Aviary and Rookery for all manner of fire breathing creatures.

Alright, I had some ideas about heroes and I'd want to get your opinions before rolling.

Our civ is kind of anti-individual, which runs a little bit counter to the notion of a hero being an individual who has gained renown from a feat of great skill

Why not have tatooing then to show great accomplishments of the individual, identifying them without making them named. Kind of ritualistic feats of daring like Counting Coup mixed with the tatu from far cry
>>
Check list for tonight's match of things we need to do.

1) Get Mycea to help out with getting the Manticore Tribe to Calm their tits, maybe fully integrate into the Cyclops before the Gorgon Empire and Dinosaur tribes get serious about wiping them out.

2) We need to recover the sun god's lightning bolt from the corpse of the great progenitor

3) We need to ask Mycea about the true nature of Mana, insist on it until she tells us.

4) We need to get our elf bro up to the moon again so he can save them from extinction with Mycea's super special seed.
>>
>>38382914
>>38382889
Frankly I say we combine these two. Help the merfolk and reach out to them... and maybe invite them to join us, or at least open our borders.

But the OP has started updating so any further rolls may not count.
>>
>>38382981
5) We need to ask Mycea and the Hydra-Mother about making it so that Gorgon eggs can hatch into both more Gorgons, and into the same species as the father (if one is involved). Not actual hybrids as such.

I've got a list that popped up a few threads ago, some things to consider as well.

>1) We get the Hydra-Mother to make it so that Gorgon eggs will hatch into the race of either parent, not just more gorgons with superficial features of the non-gorgon parent.

>2) We fully incorporate the Manticore into our own selves, redeem them as it were. We know they can be gentle and kind, not murderous and rapine, and we can bring that out in them.

>3) We use sauropods with hover-pots to make better, more bulky, long term transport across our land based trade networks.

>4) We expand our mines in the mountains.

>5) We build observatories in the mountains.

>6) We expand our farming of Mycea's Domain to turn it into a turbo-bread-basket.

>7) We establish a sea trade route from our islands to the jungle colonies south of the mountains.

>8) We establish some sort of accord between ourselves, the dino tribe, and the empire, possibly the manticore too if they don't get absorbed by us.
>>
>>38383049
>>38383050
Well i hope it shifts back a few hours or else i will miss them entirely in the future.

We really need to build a shrine to the zizz and sky spirits. Maybe try find the dragon hymm.
>>
>>38383109
>5) We build observatories in the mountains.

We definately need to do this. We almost no astronomy knowledge. In order to get Elf boy home, we need to know how orbits work.
>>
>>38383050
>Maybe reach out to the Changelings about the 3rd child

I dunno if the Third Child is a Changling Demigod.

Mostly because they weren't much involved with the goings on with the progenitor. I mean even our god "Orange Boy" is a god of Coral reefs and such, rather than cyclopses. The only "race specific" one is the Merfolk Demigod.

I'm thinking Dark Blue is a demigod of outsiders in general. He's attached to Akalade, and seems to have more progenitor-ish stuff going on physically.
>>
>>38383206
Third child is an elven god. Probably the only one of its pantheon still alive.
>>
>>38383050
I don't think the demigods will like it too much if we start acting on behalf of the god children without consulting them first.
>>
>>38383236
Probably Mycea had included elven dna into the corrupting seed to grow this demigod
>>
>>38383109
Okay, let's modify this.

>1) We get Mycea and the Hydra-Mother to make it so that Gorgon eggs will hatch into the race of either parent, not just more gorgons with superficial features of the non-gorgon parent.

>2) We fully incorporate the Manticore into our own selves, redeem them as it were. We know they can be gentle and kind, not murderous and rapine, and we can bring that out in them.

>6) We expand our farming of Mycea's Domain to turn it into a turbo-bread-basket.

>7) We establish a sea trade route from our islands to the jungle colonies south of the mountains.

>8) We establish some sort of accord between ourselves, the snow cyclops, the dino tribe, and the empire, possibly the manticore too if they don't get absorbed by us. Include the Merfolk and the Changelings if possible.

>9) Recover the Sun God's Thunderbolt from the Great Progenitor's Corpse

>10) Ask Mycea about the true nature of Mana.

>11) Find a way to return elf-bro whose name escapes me to the moon.

>12) Ask Mycea about possible relationship between 3rd Godchild and the Changelings? Since the coral god seems closest to us, and the deep sea god to the merfolk? The changelings are the 3rd race related to the great progenitor after all.
>>
Hey, we should give Mycea the grand tour. Maybe even bring a cutting to the Arcanum so the islanders can hangout with her too.
>>
>>38383236
Maybe, maybe not. No one in charge seems to know.

I was under the impression these were "new" gods all together, rather than reincarnations. They were birthed from the progenitors flesh, and as such are closer to it.

>Assist and assess in the Political Situation Concerning the Gorgon Empire and the Two Remaining Tribes.
>17/20
>Success, with overwhelming Census. +Mycea's presence.

Currently what's going on is as follows: The Gorgon Empire has taken control over much of the Fungal wood and there presense is very firm and politically cemented- the only real resistant to their power is currently the Dinosaur tribe which has seen an overwhelming amount of military solidarity and growth. The Dinosaur tribe seems to be stemming their power from a line of Mysterious leaders and even today they continue to be the only source of resistance towards the Gorgon Empire through sheer military prowess. The Manticore Tribe on the other hand has fallen in relevance and the Tribe is beginning to split into two cultures: Orthodox Manticores and a "Fungal Tribe".

From what you can tell: The Dinosaur Tribe and the Gorgon Tribe are on the brink of War and The Manticore tribe is too distracted by a Cultural revolution to intervene.

Currently your presence is only just enough to prevent full out War from happening as the Gorgon people themselves do not wish to drag you into this through the cross fire.

We need to turn Mycea city into the place for the races to meet and discuss things peacefully. No reason to war.

I'm not a big fan of us going into war either. But I'm not opposed to the shifts in the tide of power a war between the gorgons might bring. I mean, worst case scenario is that an entire new tribe of people are wiped out forever, but best case is that a brand new culture establishes itself and weakens the dominant Gorgon Empire. But that said, outside of military prowess the Dinosaur gorgons don't got much going on for them, and the Hydra Mother is practically a GOD on their side.

Lets lean towards making some sort of peace summit or event just to stabilize/manage things.

I'd like for those two red territories of ours to connect some day.

>Provide Relief for the Changelings.
>Roll 18/20
>Success, +Good Political Relationship.

The Plains are not a fun place to be in at the moment: it is a twilight stricken land of near perpetual darkness as the Zizz over-casts it's shadow on the world. The Wind created by the Zizz's presense is strong enough to tamper with the local weather: preventing rain, removing cloud coverage, and the difference in tempature causing horrible strong winds and 'dry' lightning storms that cause brush fires.

Every single being is making themselves sparse: The Ant People have hidden themselves away within their cavernous mounds and the Changelings are MOST welcome to the emergency aid and hospitality you're providing within your neighboring mountain towns, Jungle Farming Villages, and the small trade town thats begun to develop where the Air-Monolith's stand.

>+Increased Political Relationship and Understanding+
>Within the firm, stone, earthen shaped halls and homes of your people, the Changelings are able to find solace and protection from the Elements outside. Your hospitality is comforting to them and through these trying times you learn much about their people: They at one point possessed a large standing and lucrative trading empire that spanned the entire super continent and traded with all numerous other Changeling cultures and civilizations. They saw and built many wonders, flourished in undeniable wealth, and had one point mapped out the entirety of the "Endless lands".
>That was a long time ago though and currently their species lives a more scattered and cultural varied existence, but they still remain confident they'll rise to global relevance once more.
>The Current Changelings you interact with are a mix of sub-cultures containing: Nomads, Herders, and a small fraction of traveling Merchants.
>>
>>38383857
I'm guessing Fungals are the more peaceloving or calm group, where as orthodox would be the usual death fetishists and murder cultists.

There was a little "event" when we first met the Manticore tribe that might explain the dichotomy better. It was a "Murderbrawl" and mostly featured the tribe murdering eachother just to be Chieftain. All the while we sat with some philosophers and mothers in a Murder-Free zone as they explained their almost peaceful philosophy of the cycle of life and death.

>Provide Assistance to the Merfolk
>Roll 4/20
>Merfolk roll support 9/20
>Everyone Fails, met with mixed rolls, but census and enthusiasm.

There is currently extremely high Merfolk traffic between your various islands and the "Deep ocean" ever since The Great Progenitor had been killed: The perpetual storms have calmed, Sea Monsters and Creatures have become more abundant, and the Ocean has taken a much healthier shades and tones of blue and teal. Your Relationship however remains only one of a personal basis as they seem hesitant to commit officially for a few reasons:

>Their great kings, queens, and spiritual leaders have -if not all- been killed and consumed by the Great Progenitor; leaving behind a large vacuum and cultural absence in their various sub-cultures and civilizations. Their political environment has poor stability and they are currently just trying to figure things out as they apoint new leaders and so forth.

>Merfolk cannot "speak"; their mouths and throats are adapted for life underwater and they cannot formally communicate in the same way you can, only able to chime out squeaks, chirps, and other animal-like noises they find embarrassing. They instead possess Telepathy, but this practice is.. "subversive" and it's culture does not translate well over to a spoken one.

>+Silver Lining: You do however bond over your mutual love for the ocean and many of your coastal communities spend a great deal of time co-existing and working with Merpersons to hunt, fish, and forage for food on the tide. This has provided a lot of time to bond and apply a greater understanding of one another and rekindle a certain nostalgic familiarity that hasn't been apparent since truly ancient times.

The re-building of their civilization will be a slow and methodical process, but your Two Species possess an unspoken familiarity and comfort with one another.

Otherwise an action i'd like to roll for is consulting with the Changlings (since they have been around longer) to figure out the map of this super continent. What is beyond the Savanna? What islands surround it? What does our world look like.

>Establish a forum for ALL powers we know to be represented and communicate from, based in the City of Mycea.
>Roll 68/100
>Above Average Success +Odd Number/incomplete 69. +Overwhelming Census, +Cultural Bonus

The Province of Mycea's Grove has been defined by it's pleasant agrarian communities, sweet and fresh smelling air carried on the picturesque wafting clouds of colourful spores as well as the beautiful mixed Fungal and Jungle growth that grows rampant- displaying gorgeous flowering plants, and varying colours of pink, teal, red, blues and healthy greens. The Province is a land of vivid natural colour and peace and is one of the most important cultural and agricultural sectors within your side of the world.

It is only natural that it has become something of a junction for peace talks between the various Cultures that habitat your side of the world: The Gorgon Tribes and even a few intrepid Changeling Merchant groups have begun to make the treck over the mountains to see what all the fuss is about.

>+Dramatically increased Changeling commerce+
>The Changelings Merchants from the plains have become eager to trade within the province of Mycea for food, temporary shelter, and various other goods and services. Their presence is.. mildly unsettling to some people; so they keep themselves as rigidly humanoid as possible when in the company of others and never take their cloaks off in public. They've begun opening their own Unique establishments: Money Changers, Gambling Halls, and Theaters. They also introduce something called a "Circus" which is a traveling band of Entertainers and trained animals.

>+Dramatically Increased Gorgon commerce
>Gorgons as well have begun trading and operating services within the province since.. realistically the path to peace for these aggressive cultures is through the strings of Ivory rings: Bath houses, Brothels, Bars, Clothing Establishments, Farmers markets, Huntress trading shops, as well as Reagent and poison dealers are all making their way into the Provinces booming economy.

>+Political Development: The Dinosaur Tribe's Chieftain makes a discreet appearance.
She is an utterly humongous Gorgon Woman- she is a Giant among her people and even by Cyclopean Standards she is quite tall. Towering, with her pale and gently blue hued body defined by explicit and toned muscular definition- She is an intimidating and powerful woman. Her hair is Black, but kept short- She does not wear any adornment beyond simple Bracelets or Anklets and a simple ornately pattered dress to cover her Crotch.

Her most defining feature though is her full head of writhing Snakes, Her intense gaze, and the long, black, Triceratops-like Horns that crown her head which she adorns with layers of Golden rings.

She speaks softly and bluntly, "I am the Cosmic Serpent and we have some things to Discuss- oh great one eyed children of the Sea."
>>
>>38385318
Aren't they? Plus they seem to lack a lot of that morally ambiguous luggage from their past. I mean when we first met the gorgons they were scrambling babies and enslaving eachother and practicing eugenics.

She comes before the local Sages council in secrecy and discretion, "I do not have much time to dawdle; The Hydra Mother and myself were once one being adrift in the stars due to the similarity of our two souls. I was the "tail" and she the "heads". Now that we are reincarnated- the existence of my physical reality is most likely "inconvenient" as I have lead her to believe my identity was consumed within her own soul.. When the reality is far from it." She lets out a long drawn out sign to herself and rolls her shoulders- She seems tired, tired and worn out.

"I admit I am not fond of being alive; I belong within the stars, but I am obligated to my worshipers and I am obligated to you, Children of the deep. Without your Blood and Seed I would not be here right now."

She goes on to admit that she unfortunately does not have a plan: Being alive denies her of omnipotence and compels her to more natural emotionally invested reactions and feelings that sour her judgement. She implores you though to remain neutral: she is only motivated by the survival of her worshippers and those who still remember her. A God is nothing without it's people.
>>
>>38385862
Well the obvious answer is to build a temple to the Cosmic Serpent even here, and then use a ritual to help speed their return to the stars. Thus giving them back their power, and ensuring their worship even afterwards.
>>
>>38385862
D-does she want us to Kill her? Or is it our fault she's alive?

>Establish an overseas trade route to the Cyclops settlements in the plains from our central islands.
>Roll 16/20
>Above Average Success. +Previous Rolls/persistence. +Cultural Bonus.

This is actually not a very explicitly demanding or difficult task for your people: They've always made trips to the Rib-shaped Reefs in the past and present to fish, gather shellfish, hunt for pearls, and some were even brave/foolish enough to climb up the formations in search of bird eggs.
The entire voyage only takes a few weeks- and passage to the "Mainland" where in your jungle communities have begun to develop is just a short boat ride away from there in clear weather: only extending your traveling time by a few additional days.

This path of travel is MUCH more expedient and cuts the travel time to a few months as opposed to almost the whole year it takes to travel ALL around the mainland.

>+Dramatically increased Traffic between Islands and Mainland+
>Most Cyclopes are not at all interested in venturing too deep within the mainland if it isn't to visit the city or make a commute to the province of Mycea; of which most commuters end up living their as opposed to going back home. This new Trade/naval route allows for easy, quick, and somewhat reliable passage between the islands and the mainland; dramatically increasing population growth and "coverage".

>Establish a charter of civil libertys that covers all persons. From mortals up to gods and including spirits and great beasts. Laying out the rights to consent and against slavery etc.
>Roll 7/100
>Complete and Total abject Failure. -Cultural penalty.

Your people frankly do not like to.. "police one another". Law, Order, and punishment continue to be enacted and respected on a very personal level: no one over bearing force commands or penalizes for anything beyond their individual communities and personal relationships. Law and Order are only supported with any kind of efficiency and structure because most people know one another in communities and the Sage council often acts as an unbiased judge and Jury to particularly difficult or uncomfortable situations.

The problem with this is that the population is growing and at the turn of every century the population DOUBLES: There are more and more strangers and more people whom don't know one another and your own version of "modernity" is slowly creeping onto your Ancient civilization as urbanization becomes more rampant with trade and commerce.

Progenitor came from the sea, so the spine is likely at the bottom of the ocean now. Then again, its probably going to be the basis of a really cool as all hell coral reef. Maybe natural wonder level ala Great barrier reef.

>Colonize Progenitor's Bones and Investigate of our Lightning bolt.
>Roll 14/20
>Success, But not high enough for this. -Marine Life, -Political Southern issues

The Progenitor's bones are fresh, progressively whitening, and the splay out of the ocean depths as a new land mass that brings a new and distinct wonder to the horizon, but to "colonize" it and claim it as your own comes with many physical and political problems of it's own that you've come unprepared to deal with:

>The Great Progenitor's Reef
>The Bones have seeded the growth of an immense and beautiful coral reef that rises and flourishes from where the ribs meet with the waves; forming layered and "shelved" growths of vivid and colourful corals. These reefs are called home by a rich variety of fish, shellfish, and unfortunately; Immense and dangerous Sea monsters: Sea serpents, aggressive fish, marine reptiles, and even Wyverns frequent the area.

>Political Problems
>The "Ownership" of the reef is currently disputed by the Southern Continent's Snowclops people, the Merpeople, and your own island dwelling Cyclopes. No one realistically wants to "steal" it from anyone, but the place is just TOO good of a fishing spot and the treasures that dwell within it can't be ignored.

>The Lighting Bolt has broken into two piece:
One piece is in the possession of Mycea, she willingly returned it to your people on her way back home and as soon as it was placed back within your Arcanum the flow of Mana was quickly restored.
The Second piece was unfortunately the much "larger" portion: it has sunk to the bottom of the depths of the Bones- most likely still embedded in the Progenitor's shoulder blade. It's been a couple years, but it slowly seems the piece is making it's way to the surface: An amazing and breathtaking display of Corals growing around it and taking the form of a massive spiraling coral tower that is nourished by the Mana it pours forth.

>Law and civil liberty's.
>Roll 2/100
>Complete and total Abject failure to the point of being detrimental.

The attempts of the Sage's council to police and better provide legal and civic protection to people has created a small amount of tension between the general populace; especially the OLD and the YOUNG as they've never had to be "ordered" by law and they resent this turn of events as.. "lacking faith within the people."

This is however been most disastrous with regards to the creation of a counter Culture:
>-Cultural Development: Degeneracy
>Drinking, Gambling, and Sexual liberation have always been things your people have enjoyed in respectful moderation and without any desire for excess as rich and satisfying social lives of friendship and companionship have lead to self control. The looming threat of LAW however has created resentful Degenerates: Dirty, filthy, naughty Cyclopes and Gorgons who are especially lewd and inappropriate in their actions and displays. Without going into detail; they commit weird and offensive acts- often times in public as a show of protest.

>Successful Counter Roll.
>Cultural Development: The Silent Majority speaks
>A Number of people find the Degenerates "Hysterical": Law is not there to take away your right to drink, sodomy or for any other various lewd acts between consenting adults. Law is here to protect those who cannot protect themselves, to establish written and mutually agree'd upon regulations and practices between adults, children, and beings so people are not mistreated or taken advantage of.
>+Political Invention: Domestic Laws
>Domestic law is law that is followed, practiced, and unforced and agreed upon universally by Communities: It is a stature of laws that protect individual people and persons: Pedophilia, Rape, Theft, Harassment, Child-theft, and so forth. More importantly though, it guarantees mutually beneficial reconciliation between victims and perpetrators more efficiently curbing crime.
>>
>>38387538
>"Degeneracy"
Did we just experience what a hippie movement for our culture would be?
>>
>>38387538
Right, we need to deal with this obviously.

We probably need a few more rolls on this and let it sort itself out. We'll either go full eldar or get a basic set of rules and laws enforced.
>>
>>38387608
>>38387644
I think we should leave it alone to let it peeter out. We've made our grievences known, Law is to Protect those who can't protect themselves. and we were apparently "heavy handed" at first and this led to people acting out.

Best to LET them act out, and slowly calm back down. Expect it to take a generation or two.

We aren't quite at 1920's or 60's levels of counter culture quite yet.
>>
>>38387686
Agreed. We got what we wanted with a little bit of backlash. We should just see how it plays out for a little while. Eventually they'll see that the laws aren't there to strip away freedoms, but to protect those freedoms for everyone more effectively.

>Establish an Observatory within the Mountains.
>Roll 16/20, Roll 56/100
>Above Average Success overall. +Akalade's assistance. +Racial Bonus

You haven't checked up on Akalade, but he's become something of an iconic and relevant figure-head in a number of your Arcanists and Leading Magi circles: He's been seen doing talks and lectures within the Arcanum and has assisted greatly in the recollection and continued documenting of the Blind Sage scrolls as per commission of the Weeping Sage cult. Akalade in his time here has developed a wealth and breadth of knowledge that one could consider supernatural.

He comes before the Sage's Council, respecting proper tradition and dressing to appease local tradition: Wearing a striking coral and flower hair piece, long flowing robes he's fashioned from both silk and grown materials he's cultivated himself. You make your request of him and accepts without hesitation.

He demands though a number of resources, "I'll need a working team of Cyclopean Masons, Resources for the observatory, and an entourage to the structure sight- the best locations would be the Home island, The Fungal Mountain, or The Mountain range separating the plains from the Fungal woods."
Akalade makes a personal last request, "I would also like my public Sexual ostrasization to be lifted- I wish to begin courting again." This wasn't 'entirely' important, but Akalade had been banned from Bathhouses, etc due to his questionable emotional health during puberty.

>Further improve floating pots.
>Roll 77/100
>Success through EXTREMELY lucky roll DOUBLE 77'S

Through making minor improvements to the Floating pot: Strengthening their pipes, increasing their locomotion, speed, flying height, carrying weight, and so forth your Arcanists make an accidental discovery in terms of the physical capabilities of what exactly magical tonal resonation can do in terms of it's application on industrial or trade uses.

>+Magical Technology Discovered: Bell Forge+
>The Bell Forge is something exclusive to your culture: A great iron bell is finely tuned before being engraved with with explicit and complicated ruins that are ingrained with a mix of electrum to carry magical tones more efficiently, the outside of the bell is then covered in a second layer of Iron so as to create a multi-layered echoing distortion of sound. The sound and the ringing of the bell is capable of making exciting the molecular bonds that efficiently mimic the forging process without the need for fire.
>Bell Forges can essentially be hung up within a Workshop: A blacksmith may hold metal inside (using prongs of course) of it before ringing the bell it regular intervals to forge and temper the metal before it is finished traditionally.
>Bell Forges produce weird and somewhat unusual weapons and tools that can have unpredictable magical properties- but their physical quality is impeccable.

>The Observatory will be built on the Mountain Range- within the Range of Mycea's Grove.
>Akalade's Public Sexual ban will be lifted.

The terms are mutually agreed upon, Akalade receives permission to essentially have sex again, and they dismiss themselves from the council. They spend a few Months within the home island: drawing up drafts, finalizing plans and constructions, documenting and cataloging funds and resources- and Akalade spends a few weeks catching up with his sex life; he seems to have gotten a little rusty, but his experiences are overall positive if albeit a little sore.

They travel by ship, down through the already established trade route between the islands and the mainland Jungle communities that exist beyond the mountains to shave off a few months of travel: The necessary supplies are sent on a different vessel and the Glass and Metal working are created on site before their arrival so as to save time. The entire process though will take a few years- you will not receive the results of the observatory until the next session due to the precission and necessary engineering it will take to construct it. >Discern the True Origins and Nature of Mana
>Commune with the Sun
>Roll 16/20
>Sun Roll's 9/20
>The Sun "tells" you with benefit to your interests.

Your people are incredibly curious about the true origins of Mana- Mana, this mysterious, golden, nourishing, and iridescent liquid that readily flows from any divine or magical sources- even the God's themselves at times. You simply MUST know the nature of it's origins and the Sage council unanimously agrees the first person they should ask is the first source of Mana they've come upon: The Sun.

The Monoliths are dusted off, the old instruments are picked up, the Hymns are rehearsed and offerings are presented for safe measure; no one has had to actually ask the sun or formally commune with the being in a LONG time. They begin their hymns, the council lets forth a boisterous and loud magical and ancient chorus that is sent forth to the heavens to hopefully land upon the gaze of the great burning eye that is the sun.

The sky Crackles, Golden thunder lines the heavens- clouds are cleared, the blue sky turns a soft comforting orange and a beam of golden light sends forth a response, "MANA? MANA IS LIFE. MANA IS DEATH. YOU ARE MANA, BUT BE THANKFUL YOU ARE AS WELL NOT 'TRULY' MANA.. THE RED WORLD, MY SONS. DO NOT SEEK TO ABUSE OR CONTROL THE PROCESS OF LIFE- MANA HAS A SWEETNESS THAT CAN QUICKLY BECOME A POISON WITHOUT CURE."

>Get Mycea to tell us about the true nature of mana!
>Roll 11/20
>Roll 5/20
>Mycea "tells" you with benefit to your interests.

The next being you seek to Question is Mycea; you've observed Mycea "bleed" Mana and Mana was what poured from her corpse as it decomposed. She is, however, back in the land of the living now and physically doing the rounds within her Grove and Province.

She does not need any great ritual or assembly or anything like that: She can be stopped and talked to by your priests, sages, or even a simple farmer as she walks her groves. Her Avatar form is immaculate and she has an un-deniable atmosphere of divinity, but her personal mannerism is one of humility and discretion. When she is addressed she neatly tucks away her gown of vegetation and sits quietly on her knees before her companion.

You ask her the Mana Question, she has to think about how she's going to answer this and she spends the time holding your Sages within her lap and gently stroking their heads. It is a beautiful day: the birds and flying reptiles are singing, the sky is clear, a gently breeze washes over everyone and the world is calm and peaceful on ones face- beautifully complimented by the large fluffy colourful spores that hang upon the breeze of Mycea's domain.

She finally speaks, "Mana is.. Mana is very important. Mana is a fluid that is produced by everything alive- it's a direct physical byproduct of the soul and particularly conscious or 'large' souls are capable of creating a physical liquid form you're familiar with. In the natural world this fluid is quickly consumed by all manner of living things and it's re-attributed into the system.. Though..."

Her tone grows a bit distant, while she slowly raises her hand to brush the hair from her eyes, "Mana can cause a kind of "pollution" to occur if it over-saturates a world; too much Fertilization can burn a world.. Red.."
>>
>>38389423
We can probably keep using it for what we've been using it for, be he JUST said not to abuse it or try to control the process of life with it.
>>
>>38389040
I think the time has come to ask Mycea if she can muscle through the horror and tell us more about the Red World, given what the Sun has told us, and that we know OTHERS on this planet might be attempting to contact it.

>Does Hydromancy effect Ice?
Ironically enough; not entirely. Ice making is rudimentary, but it requires knowledge of pyromancy since it's the one in charge of manipulating tempature. Ice/cold is the absense of HEAT/energy after all.
MAGIC IS ACTUALLY ROOTED IN SOME LEVEL OF PHYSICS.
I AM NOT GOOD AT PHYSICS, BUT IM TRYING REAL HARD SO MAGIC MAKES SENSE/ISN'T BROKEN.

You're capable of mining and processing Silver, but not on the level the Gorgon empire commits towards it.

>>38390075
>What's the difference between the Fungal Crops from Mycea Grove and those from the Gorgon Empire?
Nothing really, they're the same species/crops- breed variety and produce rates obviously vary, but Mycea hasn't caused any new species to develop out of nowhere. Mycea's grove at one point was a source of extreme fertility and production due to the reinstated symbiotic relationships between Plant AND Fungi that had been lost in ancient times leading to the development of Fungi dominated old growth forests.
These aren't present anymore on the mainland: All the jungles on our little "strip" have some immerssion of both plant and fungi that produce great diversity, produce, and natural health.

>>38390123
>>38390137
>>38390159
>>38390186

They're Air Bladders: They're technically located just behind the breast, but it still creates the same effect of making the breasts appear larger by pushing them upwards and out. Merpeople dwell within a variety of depths in the ocean and need to be able to rise and lower themselves and adjust for pressure.

>OP, how Jewish are the Changelings? Not to imply they aren't bros, but how money hungry are they?

I should have answered this a WHILE ago, but I'll answer this as well.

The Changelings are.. 'mildly' jewish, but they don't let Money define and shape their lives. They understand Money and Commerce as a source of non-violent power and stability; they once controlled the world through Mercantilism.

This isn't speaking on a SPECIES level, but on a cultural level: Most individual Changelings aren't explicitly jewy and are perfectly fine living their lives without worshiping shekels and numerous varying cultures and sub-cultures have sprouted up and developed from the fall of their civilization.

I've mentioned it in passing previously, but the plains neighboring house at least 4-5 Cultures/clans of Changelings with varying cultures: Nomads, Herders, Farmers, Merchants, and a few Maritime communities.
>>
>>38390398
>So is she okay with being alive? or would she rather achieve apotheosis and go away?

She's okay with it, but she isn't "comfortable". She finds physically existing uncomfortable and mildly disgusting: eating, going to the bathroom, shedding skin, etc.. it's all very disgusting and uncomfortable to an Astral being of the stars.

>does she have something to settle with Hydra Mother?
She does indeed- it will become more explicit as she figures out what she's going to do. She will most likely try and stop reincarnating once her goal is completed.

>>38390441
>We also have the crop to make hot chocolate?
Yes. You currently use it as a spice- there's a lot of things you haven't taken advantage of food wise.
I understand how food would be overlooked, but Food can be a pretty important thing to research/develop, Anons.

And they don't seem too eager to "rejoin"

Hydra Mother wants to stay on the earth, and Cosmic Snake wants to reign from the heavens. Both want top dollar as Head of The Gorgon Pantheon. So its unlikely they'll want to "recombine" as a spiritual entity since they both want different things. Hydra Mother wants to Live, Cosmic Snake doesn't.
>>
>>38390570
It's hard to revisit the details when there are so many big things happening.
>>
>>38390620
I'd like it if they rejoined though. The Cosmic Snake was a lot easier to deal with and we wouldn't have these god-queens walking the Earth. Guess we'll have to wait and see though.
>>
>>38390633
>It's hard to revisit the details when there are so many big things happening.

You have my sympathy; it can be pretty difficult on my end when seemingly simple actions can have numerous overarching effects.
>>
>>38390650
>I'd like it if they rejoined though.
Same here. But I'm not sure they would.

Hydra Mother has had the first chance to be "her own person" in eons. I doubt she'd want to subsume her "identity" to someone else, especially considering that's what the elves almost did.

Speaking of "little details" this has bugged me for a little while... But shook off the feeling mostly because it would be awkward.

... Have cyclopses managed to screw anything else besides gorgons and other cyclopses?

we've had casual contact with Southern Cyclopses and growing contact with Merfolk and Changlings.

Its just seems like... saying "SEX UP THAT RACE" is a little bit of a weird action to take/order to give to cyclopses, and should and probably is something that would occur naturally. I dunno... maybe I'm over thinking this and/or being too bashful.
>>
>>38390730
Good question. I wonder just how compatable we are with all the other races.
>>
Have the dragons shwon any signs of having higher intelligence?
>>
>>38390771
Frankly Merfolk seem a little more... Compatible than most others... Since unlike the gorgons, they seem to have sexual dimorphism (breasts on everyone asides), and are of the same "flesh" as us, the flesh of the great progenitor. I guess same could apply to changlings but they're very shy about taking off their clothes, so I'm kind of assuming they're clay versions of meatwad.

>Good question. I wonder just how compatable we are with all the other races.

>Mycea
The act has been done with Mycea and will most likely continue to be available: She genuinely like your people and has no issue with sending out doubles/shoots to lonely people. She's not ashamed of a little affection.

>Hydra Mother/Orochidina
Obviously and Explicitly. It's entirely her thing.

>Southern Cyclopes.
Yes, Lots, frequently- there's no distinction: Southerners are just as good.

>Merfolk
Not 'yet'- this one may be inevitable due to your two species comfort level with one another, but currently no one is comfortable beyond heavy petting and platonic signs of affection.

>Changelings.
Ironically enough you'd be the most sexually compatible beyond your own species with Changelings since they can shapeshift and they have very few bones: Do not be surprised if these leads to rampant and predictable and economic developments as soon as lewd applications are discovered.
Changelings used to be a quite prominent species; their shape shifting has never been seen as "unique", so expect shenanigans as you slowly introduce perspective.
>>
>>38390930
Huh, I guess that makes sense. Changlings can "choose" to look like cyclopses... and... work the same way. I guess I assumed they would reproduce through binary fission or something weird like that.

Half correct.
They can't change how their innards work and they can't make themselves bigger or smaller than they actually are.
Changelings are a kind of Mollusc/Cephalopod, they just stretch, switch, and reorganize things.

You'll understand the limitations and extensions of their natural abilities once we start interacting with the more.

I am worried about our eventual "dark ages" assuming those ever come, or unless thats what just happened. I mean those times were pretty damn impressive, but (at least in human timeline) something bad happens and sort of knocks society down a notch for a while.
>>

To be honest I had only read as far as the post i quoted when I asked about the dino leader so im prety happy i thought of the demi-god being their leader. I had only asked incase nobody thought of it and the thread hadnt ended yet.

That brings another thing to mind, how will we deal with (and I know it might be coming soon) Lost technologies or lost knowledge? I mean It will happen eventually, as its happened in our world. The temple of zeus was one of the seven wonders, and its just a pile of rocks in greece. half of chicago burnt down in the 1800's and ushered in the age of the skyscraper.

what do you think we should worry about, when it comes to these kind of Cultural losses. Or is that spoilery?

Naw man, they had blades.
Clay is more of a correct comparison: They're moldable, shapeable, but they can't change what they physically, etc.. They Keep cloaks to hide their "default comfortable forms" in the presense of others, but they still wear clothes, have tools, weapons, etc..

We'll reach a point where you'll get to see their homes: They're pretty neat. A people who can shapeshift at a whim- Makes neat architecture.

>>38391303
>>38391330
That's correct: we could theoretically never have a "dark age".

>>38391340
Archaeology, Anon.
Things have fallen out of practice and nothing lasts forever: We used to live in caves. Now we don't. Etc..
As time moves on and as Civilization advances we'll slowly succeed the past and build over it create memories to unearth for future generations.
We're still a ways though from "satisfying" archaeology though.
>>
>>38391345
>>38391330
Yeah I know. I look at the Dark Ages as a "Can Happen" rather than a "Will Happen". Other cultures developed pretty much continuously, others died and rebooted and changed, whether or not we're the former or the latter when we get to the time when cathode ray tubes burn bright and we harness atomic fire and sail into the sky is all up to us.
>>
>>38391393
Does the nice mushrom lady demigod know the lightning bolt, and what remains of it, make mana and hade done so for a very very long time and we have peope that can make it from noting whenever they want. Should we tell her if she doesn't?
>>
>>38391393
>We're still a ways though from "satisfying" archaeology though.
That may be true for cyclopses, and our civ, but the Gorgons? The Changlings? they've got a LOT of old crap for us to uncover.

Now I'm just imagining some crazy expedition into the plains just to dig up some ancient Changling wonder. Or deeper into the Snowclops lands to see if there's something wonderful there.

>>38391469
What if the plains used to be much higher up and rockier mountains that they all lived on untill the Zizz came along and blew all that away and cut down the mountains so there is noting to archeology.

No, no- She's aware; you're not nearly at a point where you can produce enough Mana to cause any kind of a global threat, let alone even a LOCAL threat.

You have to get REALLY crazy or something outlandishly horrible has to happen to cause Mana pollution: Mana flow is natural and even the Microbe in the very AIR consume it feverishly.

You're no where near a point where you have to worry about Mana pollution: You'd be able to see it coming a mile away.

Basically that's why mana dissipates, something is always eating it up, be it us, animals, or microbes in the air. The Pollution happens when production outpaces all reasonable consumption. Hell thats even how regular pollution works (in a way).

So Red World is essentially a cancerverse from mana pollution.

Could we reestablish and repurpose demonology to 1: find a solution to mana pollution before it becomes a problem and 2: 'curing' cancerworlds, or at least keeping them from encroaching onto ours.

Also, how does Mycea feels about those spirits that look like her?

We might have to figure out a form of "Anti-Mana" if we want to cure things.

It may involve studying death/necromancy more, maybe some combination of necromancy and eldritch studies.

But mana IS the source of all life. So Anti Mana would be as dangerous to us as it is to the red world and mana pollution.

Really? I swore we got some simple machines down pat. Like Pullies and levers and stuff, also lenses. I mean we're a race thats developed flying pottery, before we developed the gear?

Man Magic has sort of fucked us up in the basic engineering department.

That said there is more than one way of "printing" things. I believed the Mesopotamians had a cuneiform "printing press" in the form of round cylindrical blocs with writing inscribed on them, that were then rolled on clay.
