I take the invisibility card from my pocket and slowly approach the door.

"Everyone stay here, I'm going to go find out what is going on."

"SIS! Wait!" Kaori tries to grab me.
I keep myself from smiling at her calling me 'sis'.
"It's fine, No one will see me! See?"

"But-"
"I need to go, I'm probably the only one who can find out!"

Aina stares at this with confusion, "I think you should just stay here. Also what does that card do?"

Right, I forgot this whole magic thing is something most people don't know about.
"It's fine, everyone. I'll be just fine. Let me hop into the locker room and I'll go find help!"

I duck into the locker room, put on the card before anyone notices, and leave out the back. Like this, I should be perfectly invisible to anyone who doesn't have some fancy way of tracking or spotting me.
I really hope this monster doesn't have one.

After several minutes of searching around, I still can't find the source of the rumbling. I hear it occasionally, but still can't seem to find exactly where it's coming from.

That's when I notice the pavillion in the central courtyard. There still seem to be people gathered inside. They're not...moving..a..muscle?

Slowly I make my way to the pavilion, being sure to check the surrounding field for any enemies laying in wait. Everythig seems perfectly normal aside from the three figures stuck in a stone-cold stance.
I really don't like where this is going. They aren't even acknowledge me as I approach them. Maybe they are the enemy? No no, that's silly to think. It's probably just some kids who don't know what is going on. I should tell them to go to the gym and wait there for someone to come back.

That's when I step into the pavilion and notice that the statues standing along the inside are actually my friends.
"M-MAEDA?" I yell at the stonefaced figure who refuses to omve an inch. She seems stuck halfway between standing up.
I rush to the other side of the table and shake her, nothing. Maeda's eyes seem to stare off into nothing.

I look around the table, Aiko, Ryouta! Ryouta seems to be trying to assume a combat stance, and is Aiko trying to crawl under the table?

"W-what happened here!?"

Off in the distance, I can hear the rumbling once more.

Wait, I need to be calm. I can't panic right now, I'm probably the only one here who can fix this!

I give a quick hug to Maeda and set off in the direction of the rumbling. There has to be some way to fix this, and the monster is the one that can tell me how!

The clubrooms. I'm not sure what anything would want to do with the clubs, but this is definitely where the rumbling is coming from.

Again, the rumbling is becoming more intense. It's like the entire clubroom building is shaking. Inside, the sound is almost unbearable. Even my teeth are shaking by the time I find what is causing the quaking.

A door, I think it leads to the martial arts room. The door itself is shaking with a powerful hum, it's almost as if someone is hitting it.
I reach for the door handle, but it doesn't budge.

Ohhh, I really don't like where this is going. Cautiously, I take off the invisibility card.

"Hello!?" I shout at the door.

The rumbling stops.
On the other side of the door, I hear some muffled talking. Then a very faint "Hello!" from that side of the door.

I stand dead silent for a few minutes as the same mumbled words are heard on the other side of the door.
That's strange.
Then the rumbling starts back up!

Okay, something weird is definitely going on in that room. I try sliding the door open once again, but it doesn't budge an inch.

Reaching into my pocket, I pull out Belle. Her full-suit of armor appears over me as I waste no time trying to see what is in the room.

SMASH!
The sword reflects uselessly off the door. Something is definitely wrong.

Using my sword like a prybar, I slowly try to slide it from its closed position. Even with all the strength this card gets me, I'm only able to slide it open a few centimeters.

Inside, I see an eye peering out at me. A waft of cigarette smoke seems to escape the room.
"Ken?" My confusion is palatable.
"'ey Masami." Ken says, taking another smoke. "I'm glad someone finally noticed I was in here."

"What's going on!? Why has everyone slowed down, why won't this door open!?"

"Another one of those things found its way onto campus." He tries pulling at the door that's held open only by my sword. "This one is kind of different though, it's like he's stealing speed."

"He.. what?"
"Whenever he hit something, it would slow down just like this door. But it's not stopped, it's just moving very slowly."
I'm.. not sure I see what the difference is.
"That's why I'm in here, and you're out there. I can't even bash it down."

"Where'd it go!?" I ask, panicked. It could be anywhere at this point.

He puts out his cigarette on the doorframe. "You see where I've been, right?"
I.. can't argue with that.

"Stand back! I'm coming in!"
"How?"
"Just trust me!"

I pull the sword out of the doorframe and take out the card's shield. Summoning all my strength, I ram straight into the door.

Ow.

That was a big mistake. Plus I'm pretty sure I hear Ken'ichi inside laughing at me.

Rude.

"Okay! Stand back! I'm trying something else!"
This time, I go a few feet to the left of the door, and try ramming it full speed.

I crash straight through the wall and roll several times along the ground. On my back, I can see Ken grinning at me from the other side of the room.

"Good work, Kid." He steps over me and into the hallway.
"Wait, hold it!" I yell at him. "Where do we even start looking!?"

"Dunno. I'm goin' for a walk to think about it."

W-
What a jerk!

He coolly strolls out the door with me trying to regain my composure right behind him. I don't have time to deal with his cocky attitude! I have to keep searching.

I walk to the administrative office. I'm sure the principal should know about this by now. There's no way that he wouldn't.

Or maybe he's not even here today.
I don't understand how his position works.

Outside the building, it looks like there has already been a mighty clash. Ground is seared, light poles are cut in half, concrete is upturned.

But what is more important is that there are two figures standing amongst all the chaos.

One is a man with flowing red hair, he appears to be holding a rapier while standing perfectly still.
The other is an armor clad monster. Within an instant the monster spins to face me.

Oh no.

Okay everyone, sorry about the painfully slow update rate tonight. I'm packing for another trip.
