>it's not that day anymore

"We uhm," The blush on her face as she clumsily stutters over her words is almost irresistible to you. "We c-c-could just... talk?"

You forcibly stop yourself from licking your lips. Andrea may be your senior, and probably a lot smarter than you in almost every way, but when it comes to just talking like a real person... Well, as far as you're concerned, she's just begging for a teasing right now. But on the other hand, you did make a promise to Lisa. A promise that, when you had the chance, you would tell her the truth. And while it may not be the ideal location or time, it is exactly such a chance. If you don't take this one... will you ever?

"Actually..." Woah now, what happened to that playful, dancing tone in your head? You're sounding just as pathetic as her now! You clear your throat, but... "there is something I've been wanting to tell you..." Nope, didn't help one bit. Urgh, you must look so ridiculous right now. What is with you?

Andrea on the other hand, seems to be enjoying this change of pace, looking at you with that soft, overbearing smile she's always giving the girls when they do something stupid. Maybe she means well, but it's only making you feel even more embarrassed.

"I, uhh..." Why is this even a problem, you've said it to plenty of people before! "I think..." Of course, there is just that one difference. "I think I..."

You've never meant it before.

You are the Loli Talker, aka Nee-chan, a specialist dealing in bringing unreasonable lolis to reason, and you are currently more embarrassed than you've ever been in your life!

Okay, for real this time. It's now or never!

"Andrea, I think I-"

Your words end abruptly, as a loud thump sounds from one of the lockers. God. Damnit. Andrea clearly noticed too, staring in the same direction with a look of worry.

>Ignore the sound and continue, it was probably nothing?

This is why I'm paranoid about moving my start time.

I'll uh, just go find something to do while I wait to see if more players show up?

Seems smart to me.

I certainly wasn't expecting a thread at least, haha.

What a hurtful thing to say!

I absolutely love teasing, but even I know it has to end eventually.

I'll give it five more minutes to see if we waited all this time just to leave the decision to a coin toss.

That would be inconvenient indeed.

Silently you curse the universe for, yet again, conspiring against you. Why can't you just have what you want, just this once? There's nothing to be done about it now. After all, the only way this could have been worse is if someone overheard you, right?

Sighing, you stand back up to go take a look. As you do, you feel Andreas hand on your arm.

"It was probably nothing! Just ignore it!" And just like that, her voice has shifted from the shy maiden to a worried and hasty request. Though... why doesn't she want you to go take a look?

You easily manage to shake your arm free, making a beeline for the suspicious locker. "It'll just be a moment. Better safe than sorry, right?"

If your senses are accurate, and they usually are, the sound came from the third from the left. "Wait!" Andrea cries out from behind you, increasingly desperate.

You grab hold of the handle. "It could be a trap!"

You turn the handle, revealing...

A high pitched "Eep!" escapes from inside the locker, as its contents tumble out onto the floor before your feet. The bundle of clothes and hair struggles to reorient itself before finally managing to turn its head to look up at you. "Uhm... hi?"

Wait, that doesn't make sense. How could she possibly be here, you left her back at... Is this some kind of trick?

She's trying to do it again. The devious little sneak, she knows perfectly well how much better the puppy eyes work when you're looking down at her.

"Oh no you don't, not this time."

With haste you pull your spying sister from off the ground, completely indifferent to her whimpers of protest, lifting her up to stand on the bench. There, no more of that trick!

"Now." Your glare, fortunately, works perfectly well when you're on the same eye level, Nina already twitching nervously. "How. Did. You. Get. Here?"

"A-Aren't you hap-"
"Answer the question."
"I wasn't sp-"
"Answer the question."
"I just wanted t-"
"Last chance."

Nina gulps audibly, finally realizing the hopelessness of her situation, and chokes out an answer. "Uhm... Magic?"

Or at least she was supposed to. You let out an exaggerate sigh. "Nina, you know how this is going to end. Do we really have to do it the hard way?"

A shudder rushes through her as you make your ultimatum. "B-but it's true! It was magic"

You roll up your left sleeve. You don't actually need to but it always works for scaring people in the movies.

And it works on Nina too. "Nee-chan please no! It's the truth!"

You roll up your right sleeve, slightly disappointed. Usually you'd have a confession by now. What is she trying to hide that's so important?

"Guess we're doing it the hard wa-"
"She's telling the truth."

You'd almost forgotten Andrea was still here. To think you'd be introducing your sister in a way like this! Wait how does Andrea now she's telling the truth?

"Excuse me?"

Andrea has no time to respond however, before your sister jumps back in to voice her opinion. "That's what I was trying to say! I got here with Miss Andrea's magic!"

Now your glare is definitely gone, leaving only confused stares. "You.. how did you? What? Why do you even know her name?"

"Actually, nevermind that." It seems you're asking the entirely wrong person here. You pick Nina back up from the bench and, surprisingly with no further protests from her, put her back in the locker she came from, slamming the door in front of her.

"You stay there until I let you out." Turning back around, you see Andrea's eyes wide open in shock, slowly shifting to shivers of fear as you approach. Stopping less than half an arm's length before her, you fold your arms in front of you, glaring down at her.

"Now. Why is my sister here?" She tries to stand up from the bench only to have you push her right back down.

"This is ridiculous, you can't just talk to me like a child!"

Once again you cross your arms. "Yes, I can."

She shifts her gaze from side to side, trying to find the right words. "Look, I.. It's like..."

"Yes?"

A long, drawn out sigh escapes her before she finally manages to voice the words. "It's the eyes! Okay? I just can't say no to them!"

Well, you can understand that, but... "I left her in fucking Japan." You don't even care that your sister can hear you swear, this is just not right at all. "How did she use the puppy eyes on you from across the Pacific?"

"Oh! Well... ehehe" She laughs nervously. "I wanted to surprise you there! But, well you know how that worked out."

As much as that's nice, that still doesn't explain anything. "And you two were talking to begin with because..?"

And just like that, the tension seems to disappear from her completely, her shoulder slumping as she lets out a relieved sigh. "I guess there's no turning back now, huh? Alright, I'll explain the whole thing."

Well, she is talking, so maybe you can afford to ease up on her now. But just to be safe, you keep your arms crossed even as you sit down beside her.

"Okay, first, please understand that I was just trying to help. I didn't mean to trick you or anything, I mean I did but only becaus-"

"Get to the point." You interrupt.

"Right. Okay. It was... well, you remember that job at her school a while ago?"

You nod. It was only a few days ago, of course you'd remember.

"Well, that's when it started. You'll have to ask her how, but she followed you back to my place. I tried to send her away but she was begging and kept saying how much she missed you and... Well, I thought it might make you happy too?"

"So I agreed to help sneak her on that boat so she could be with you."

You're not even sure what to think of that. You thought Andrea wasn't even capable of lying at all, and now you find out she was responsible for doing that. To YOU!

"I was hoping it would make you happy! I mean, anyone can tell you're close, so... Anyway, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let her come here. It's just..."

"The eyes?" You ask.

She nods slowly. "Seems to run in the family..."

You're definitely going to have to figure out how you feel about all of this, but maybe you should put all of that aside for just a moment. You stand back up, quickly stepping over to the locker and opening it to reveal a still cowering Nina. You put her hand in yours and lead her, much more gently now, back to Andrea.

"Can you send her home?"

Again Nina interjects before Andrea can even voice a response. "No! I want to stay and help Nee-mrghlfgh?"

The hand over her mouth doesn't seem to stop your sister from being noisy but it is enough to allow Andrea to speak over the muffled voice.

"Going back is easy, actually. The issue is getting here in the first place, but the return trip is a simple matter of-"

"Good, do it." Your sister falls silent as you give the command, lowering her head in defeat. Andrea nods in response and reaches an arm out to Nina, which she reluctantly takes, letting Andrea lead her to an open spot before the shower room. You're not sure how any of it works, but Andrea appears to simply draw a circle in the air with her finger, leaving a trail of blue behind which closes to form a window with what you recognize as her study on the other side.

For your part, you proceed to further chastise her as you watch. "How did you even get an idea like this? Were you seriously planning on letting my sister spy on me like that while I sit there blabbering about how much I love y-ghk"

Oh god. You cut yourself off far too late, blood rushing to your cheeks as both turn their heads to face you, Andrea with her mouth wide open in surprise. Your sister, by contrast, erupts into squealing cheers that are, thankfully, cut off as Andrea pushes the girl forcefully through the window that immediately disappears behind her, leaving no further trace of your sister. It doesn't seem to have done anything to the fire in your cheeks, though.

Oh god.
