You are Shee Hyul, rebel leader, psychic and Reunited. Your world is ruled by inhuman creatures and this has gone on far too long, it’s time to fight back.

You wake up, feeling a little recovered from yesterdays excitement.

[HP 11/130]

A little.

You also wake up unable to move, and you’re not sure why. You slowly upon your eyes and look around, ah that’s why you can’t move, you’re covered in brown-skinned girls, all wearing yellow t-shirts and white and blue striped underwear.

Ah now you remember...

After watching all those holomovies last night, including the one with the zombies, Rainya confessed to a secret phobia of the walking dead and couldn’t sleep, at least not alone, and certainly not without someone holding her as she drifted off to sleep. Which is why you are now buried under four Rainyas, hugging you, lying atop you, and curled up in the grasp of your tentacles – some of which feel rather numb after being slept on for much of the night.

Well, this is a pretty predicament, what do you do?

>Wake Rainya up, time to start the day
>Just lie there and enjoy the moment
>Find out just how ticklish Rainya is...
>Other (what?)
>>
[Meta]

Energy or Impact Resistant Armour Upgrade was supposed to be one or the other, and not able to be taken twice, I missed this last thread and have now updated the rules. Rainya and Dev have purchased two sets of armour each, 1 with each modification.

They will bring whichever is most appropriate to any fights you go looking for.

Questions from last thread: Can Shee use Impossibility to turn shadow powers into light-based powers?

Sure, if she wants to have reverse vampires that feed on light or something that’s allowed.

Psychic power added that lets you turn other people into psychics.

New Champion powers added.

No XP spent from last thread as there did not appear to be a consensus on buying Feast of Life now, or waiting.

Too hurt to do much else. Todays a slow day . Need to call the Resistance about the army coming, and check up on/ talk with friends. Maybe try and get our teleports back.
>>
>>38168461
Still need to reach Metapsionics mastery.

And Shees XP is currently pretty much planned out.

Rainyas new Champion powers on the other hand, that will use a lot of saving up.

>>38168387
I assume purchases of Durability and Might work in War Form like they do with Titanic Form, so if we purchase 2 Durability there, it adds 2 Ranks to what she already has?
>>
You attempt to tickle Rainya awake but your tentacles are too numb, and you’re still exhausted from drawing on so much of your own life force to use your powers yesterday. All you manage is a few moments of wriggling that make the Rainyas shift a little in their sleep, before settling down again. You decide that just waiting and enjoying the feeling of Rainyas warm skin against your own is the right plan. You lie there and listen to the soft sound of her breathing, inhaling the familiar scent that’s just....her.

Your bedroom door opens suddenly and unexpectedly and Kaelyn pokes her head in.

“Not interrupting anything climatic am I?” she asks with a grin.

“What?” asks one of the Rainyas blearily, raising her head and looking around. The others remain sound asleep.

“Time to wake up!” says Kaelyn in a sing-song voice.

“Go ‘way!” says Rainya “sleeping with Shee...” the four Rainyas become one Rainya, cuddled up against you “fae please go.”

“I just came to tell you” says Kaelyn “that your martial arts training starts this morning, five minutes ago in fact.”

“Can’t we start tomorrow?” asks Rainya, her eyes still screwed shut.

“No” Kaelyn frowns “because you could use that excuse for day, now come on!” She strides into the room, picks up a protesting Rainya and throws her over one shoulder.

“Shee!” yelps Rainya “help me!”

“You did agree you needed to learn how to fight” you point out apologetically as Kaelyn heads out the door, humming to herself.

“Are you really just going to let her kidnap me!” wails Rainya “help!”

Kaelyn turns to you, easily handling Rainya despite her struggles.

“You’re welcome to join us” she says with a challenging look in her eye “It would be interesting to see just how good you are.”
>>
Join them?

>Y/N

And either way, what’re you doing today?

Shee's To Do List

1. Go hunting shadow vampires
2. Check with Gambon about contact with the fighters
3. Talk to Garrax (reunited)
4. Talk to Yonsul
5. Seek the favour of one of the Five (which?)
6. Contact the Rebellion about a mission (or to cut ties officially?)
7. Research the Fae Court/Palace, is there a way in?
8. Rainya and Shee time (location? Go on a date? Other?)
9. Make some more stuff for your Realm
10. Go after Kulrathe and/or his officers (plan?)

Spend some time with Lirael

All nice 11 hp activities
>>
>>38168574
Yes, but not while we are at 11HP.
Also, I'd rather take care of Kulrathe first and meet with the Jagganatha Reunited.
We can't go around knocking down other Reunited and then expect anyone to believe our "we don't want no trabble".
>>
>>38168583
I was a bit rash in my decision making. We should rest up with our party, then go in to his compound and kill him and take control of the demons under his command.
>>
>>38168538
>N
Just be Rainya's cheerleader for today.
>Contact the rebellion
>>
>>38168589
We could probably delegate killing Garrax if we find away to catch him somewhere outside the public.
Kae and a squad of Rainyas with miniguns could most likely kill him pretty dead.
>>
>>38168609
Shouldn't we kill him ourselves? I was under the impression that we only gained Powers from taking the lives of Reunited ourselves?
>>
>>38168618
We only get powers for killing Avatars, and our followers count as "us" for the rules of this competition.
We didn't kill Tom either. At worst we would need to be there and see him die.
>>
>>38168574
We are in no shape for it now, and making sure we at least get Lir shadow trained so Kae's dad doesn't slaughter us is more important. But yeah eventually we need to deal with him. Now would be suicidal though.

>>38168581
It'd have to be Rainya for scouting the vamps, Lirael is too risky and so is Kae. Dev is working today too. Ash and Yonsul could maybe help depending on how you feel about it.

>>38168609
Dev also has sniper 5.

>>38168618
Rainya coup de graced Tom. I think if our followers/subordinates do it, it still counts. Especially for King.
>>
>>38168627
Isn't he an Avatar of the King?
>>
>>38168618
Wasn't there option to make other Reunited slaves/followers or something?
>>
>>38168632
Supposedly, but that doesn't make the statement "we gain power from killing other Reunited" any less wrong. It's only Avatars.
>>
>>38168632
We don't know. He might be.
>>38168631
>Dev also has sniper 5.
Good point, we'd need to get a appropriate rifle for him then.
>>38168631
>It'd have to be Rainya for scouting the vamps
Agreed, she is the best for that. And thanks to Duplicates she isn't at risk being caught as much.
Neither Ash nor Yonsul would be great help there, Yonsul could provide passive support with info, but Ashley is known to Crimsonthorn and can't exactly hang around their estate.
Not to mention I'm not exactly eager to find out how much they found out about our dream visit, no need to press our luck there.
>>38168639
We only need to subjugate them, we technically don't need to kill them, but obviously thats the safest way to do it.
>>
>>38168538
>Y
>Ash
>>
>>38168647
Like I said, I was under the impression, wasn't completely certain.

Why not do what G's doing on a smaller scale, though? He wants to get all Reunited together and tell the Five to 'fuck themselves', why not get a small team of Reunited together for ourselves and use our influence from the King to lead them, allowing us to ascend and having our own 'Handmaidens' so to speak?
>>
>>38168675
We would first need to find people okay with giving up on the competition, and a lot of them would not be. And some would pretend to be so they can backstab us.
Optimally we do something similar to that, but first we need to get a actually peaceful conversation with a Reunited who isn't trying to screw us over.
>>
>>38168675
Might work, if we can get brawler boy to serve us.
Garrax and Kulrathe aren't going to happen.

Also we need a reunited sense badly.
>>
>>38168675
That's what some of our number want to do with getting into contact with the Jaggantha Reunited.
>>
>>38168675
You'd basically just be putting a target on your back.
>>
>>38168675
If we weren't tied down through the rebel part of the quest, it would be great to travel to different Hives to find other Reunited.

>>38168695
To be fair, we already have one.
>>
>>38168701
Yeah. Who needs another? Everything around here's already trying to kill us or fuck us over.
>>
>>38168695
We've already got that target on our back due to being part of the contest in the first place.
>>
>>38168701
>If we weren't tied down through the rebel part of the quest, it would be great to travel to different Hives to find other Reunited.
We can do that anyways if we can get a way to scry the other cities to port next to them and walk in.

>>38168714
not everyone but the cops, fae, shadow vamps, and most Reunited will be.
>>
>>38168714
It wouldn't really be a different one, maybe make the one we have slightly bigger.
In the end, the other Reunited will always want to kill/enslave us. Having a bunch of Reunited working with us wouldn't really increase that threat.
>>
>>38168684
Of course, some would want to murder us in our sleep, if that's the only way they had a chance. I'm not saying blindly trust them, I'm saying use the Powers the King has given us to lead them and bend them to our will, effectively making them our subordinates, granting them power from our own vault and making them stronger.

>>38168695
If we did it overtly. I'm saying we do it with caution and great care. We suss out the other Reunited, scope out their behaviours and wants, then use the information we've gathered to make assessments of their worth to a team we lead. If they seem like they want an excuse to kill us, like they're hiding ulterior motives, or if they follow Big B, then we get rid of them or use Dominance. This (so I think) would please two of the Five, Big B and the King, for manipulating and betraying, and subverting others to our will respectively.
>>
“Alright, alright...” you say, climbing off your bed and standing up “I’m coming....”

You follow Kaelyn as she carries Rainya easily upstairs and into your Realm. The three of you do some warm up exercises and stretches and then Rainya asks Kaelyn “So what sort of killer moves will you be teaching me first? And will they have killer names like *Rockslide Crusher* and stuff?”

Kaelyn walks around Rainya, looking at her critically “I think we need to start on your physical strength” she says “You’re looking a little soft...and you could stand to lose a little of that chubbiness.”

Kaelyn turns to you, “Shee could you make some weights?” Behind her Rainya gets over her shock and attempts to kick Kaelyns legs out from under her, Kaelyn simply sighs as she stands firm against the kick, then turns around and grabs Rainya, and takes her gently to the floor, holding her pinned easily with one arm “Yep” she says casually “definitely need to work on that strength.”

“I might need a moment before I can make stuff” you say, breathing heavily.

Kaelyn considers this, “very well, stones it is for now.”

You watch as Rainya lifts rocks of varying sizes off the ground and over her head, as Kaelyn corrects her stance and her form.

“Slower, smoothly, don’t jerk” says Kaelyn “you’ll hurt yourself, that’s it sis, good form.”

“I’m not” gasps Rainya “your sister, bitch.”

“What’s that?” asks Kaelyn, a hand to her ear “If you’ve got enough energy to whine, you have enough energy to lift! Now get lifting!”

You sit and watch Rainya lift stones for a while, then Kaelyn lets her rest and saunters over to you with a grin. She’s wearing loose workout clothes.

“Want to try me out?” she says, bouncing on her toes “see if you’ll come out on top?” Rainya glares at Kaelyn from behind, but doesn’t say anything.

Want to spar with Kaelyn?

Hmm if we want to give Dev psionics we need to up his Willpower.

Also the ability to hand out psionics must be pretty rare, so we can use it as leverage with the resistance. Once we get it of course.
>>
>>38168856
Which will take a while, and I'm not eager to just hand out psionics to people we don't know very well.
>>
“Another time perhaps” you demur “I’m still tired from yesterday.”

Kaelyns expression goes still for a moment, as she recalls the previous day’s events, then she smiles again “ok, I look forward to it.” She turns back to Rainya “Guess it’s back to trying to turn some of this fatty tissue into muscle!” she prods Rainyas rear with a foot. Rainya growls at her.

“You both have fun” you say as you head to the door back down to the Waystation. You can hear what sounds like Lirael and Dev getting up. You focus, wanting to be somewhere out in Dust Town to make this call, nothing happens. With a sigh you recall your teleportation powers have been suppressed – a limitation you can overcome, but perhaps that’s best left for emergencies.

You get the bus out of the Hive and into Dust Town and use the algorithm to work out the comm code you need to call, and you contact the rebellion. You ask to speak to Six and then explain to him about the beastmen army arriving.

“That explains a lot” his voice sounds slightly artificial, a bad connection perhaps “good job keeping it away from your Hive, listen if you were able to disable one chaoswell, do you feeling up to doing others?”

“I’m beat” you say, you told him that you weakened the chaoswell to the point it couldn’t be used to form a gateway, but you were vague as to how.

“But still” persists Six “you managed to do that without killing yourself, that’s pretty impressive, very few of the I9’ers could do that.”

“Can’t your other psychics drain the other chaoswells?” you ask.

“They will be” says Six “But only so many of them can do so without dying, if you can’t, then you can’t, we’ll make do with what we have, but you pulled off an impressive feat to protect the people of your Hive, can’t you help us protect other Hives across Apollyon?”

Being on the side of caution means not handing it out to people whose actions we can't reliably monitor.
>>
“I need to think about it” you say “it wasn’t easy and I learned a few of my limits doing it.”

“Understandable” says Six “The longer you take to decide the more people will be at risk though.” Yeah thanks for that subtle piece of manipulation Six, you think sourly.

“If there’s nothing else” says Six “I’ll hand you back to the switchboard for today’s updates.”

As normal the rebel on the other end of the comm lists a number of people arrested by the fae, or imprisoned – propaganda that can be used to fuel resentment against their rule. They also give you any small pieces of information that have come their way – which officials seem susceptible to bribery, which ones have embarrassing secrets they can be blackmailed with, things like that.

You try to memorise as much of it as you can, and then the call ends.

What now?

>>
>>38169054
The fighters are Reunited. The last one we tried to arrange a meeting with jumped us and was able to deal ~30 damage even through our defensive powers, enough to kill us instantly at this point.

>>38169069
And the point of finding out if he responded when actually going to a meeting would be criminally stupid is...?

>>38169081
Not to arrange a meeting with a potentially-extremely-dangerous foe when he could kill us in one hit and might have incentive to do so.
>>
>>38169097
We should make a mechanics station for Dev.
I fear Liraels spaceship needs to wait for now, pretty sure she would like some flowers though.

>>
>>38169114
Because we're talking about it?
>>
>>38169112
>And the point of finding out if he responded when actually going to a meeting would be criminally stupid is...?
To find us if he is willing to talk to us to begin with?
To not ignore him after we specifically called out for a meeting with him, because basic politeness goes a long way for making people not want to kill you?
Because if we can make him meet us in the restaurant we don't have to worry about that sort of stuff because we can no-sell any given surprise attack and then slaughter him with our allies?

>>38169119
No we aren't?
>>
>>38169119
We ask Gambon if Breaker has responded to our inquiry, we aren't going to jump up and run right now to him if he has, don't be idiotic.
>>
>>38169123
Can we activate Invulnerable Hide in response to attacks we aren't aware of?
>>
You head back to the Waystation, arriving just as the staff are starting to arrive for the days shift. You find Gambon in the kitchen with Tenley, with no one else around it seems like the ideal time to ask.

“Gambon” you say, leaning against the door frame “any word on the fighters?”

“Ah yes” says Gambon, turning the temperature up on the ovens “or rather, one of them has responded at least. Breaker has agreed to meet you but, and I quote *only if we meet in a public place with lots of people around*.” Well that’s good, seems he wants to talk, but...a crowd of people could always have allies concealed in it, yours or his.

“You met him personally?” you ask

“He surprised me when I was collecting my bet last night” says Gambon “He’s quiet, I didn’t hear him until he was right on top of me – and strong too! He’s maybe a third of my size but handled me easily, it’s a good thing I was just there to talk, I’d hate to meet him in the ring.” Breaker sounds like a follower of Jagganatha alright, but willing to sneak up on someone too, a follower of Baalzamon too perhaps?

“So how is this going to work?” you ask “he picks a time I pick a location?”

Gambon shrugs “maybe” he says “he just asked me to go back tonight and give him a time and a place to meet you – alone but in public.”

Tenley mutters something, Gambon responds “Really Tenley, I’m sure Ms Hyul can handle it and doesn’t need you along.” Huh, is Tenley warming up to you or something?

Your response?

>I’ll meet him ....(location? day/time?)

“Send him my apology, some things have changed and I can only meet him in a week” you say “I will give him a time or location then, if he doesn't pick one, and tell him to watch out for Kulrathe.”

“Kulrathe?” asks Gambon

“The police captain” you say “Heads up the special task force or whatever its called.”

“You think Breaker is a rebel?” asks Gambon, his thick eyebrows rising

“Just tell him to watch out” you say “please?”

“Of course, of course” says Gambon “I’m going out tonight to watch some fights, I’m sure I’ll see him.”

“Thanks” you say “Gambon, Tenley, have a nice day” you leave the kitchen and start heading upstairs, perhaps a quiet day with Rainya and Lirael, and maybe making some things in your Realm?

What is your next task?
Shee's To Do List

1. Go hunting shadow vampires
2. Talk to Garrax (reunited)
3. Talk to Yonsul
4. Seek the favour of one of the Five (which?)
5. Research the Fae Court/Palace, is there a way in?
6. Rainya and Shee time (location? Go on a date? Other?)

King's would be if it's still on the table. The facility ahs lots of arms and armor, plus the mech and the psi chamber.
>>
>>38169344
I say we try to see if we can make a activation chamber in our realm, because we do want Clairsentience and Psychokinesis.
Especially once we can give people psychic powers we know.
>>
>>38169291
7. Make some more stuff for your Realm
>>
>>38169355
Kings is pretty shady since he is basically asking us to agree to a number of tasks where he won't tell us what they are until we agreed.
>>
>>38169368
Still we'll need the facility sooner or later for missions and our own ends. We won't be able to do so without a favor.

>>38169358
We'd need to understand how it works sadly.
>>
>>38169368
Especially since some of them will involve fighting, which we currently aren't really cut out for.
>>
>>38169355
Did you forget that King would make us do tasks related to the demonhood in question in order to grant demonhood to people in his church for his deal? And that a non-zero number of those people might want to be succubi?

His task was worse than Ichor's.
>>
>>38169368
I don't get the feeling he was trying to screw us over to be honest.
I think he gives equal cost for equal value.
>>
>>38169358
We took the mech, we couldn't get the armor, we have a lot of the armaments in our arsenal, we've acquired a way to buy more armaments and protection with our million credits, and the psi chamber can either be replicated or isn't worth it just for Clairsentience and Psychokinesis as they are fairly mediocre in most respects.
>>
>>38169386
Pretty sure his would be less time sensitive than our current one.

>>38169388
No I didn't. Still far better than taking3 lovers simultaneously of killing millions with a flood.
>>
>>38169382
>Still we'll need the facility sooner or later for missions and our own ends.
I agree with the other anon 'need' is a strong word, I suppose we could do without, it would be very usueful to have it back.

>>38169391
I don't think any of them want to screw us over. That doesn't mean what they like us to do are things we want to do.

>>38169388
I'm going to assume in his Favour those succubi tasks will require seduction, not fucking.
>>
>>38169291
>Yalk to Ash about Quinn's death
This should be time sensitive, as Quinn will come back and be killed again.
Shee is also responsible for killing Ash's friend, so damage control is needed.
>>
>>38169409
>Still far better than taking3 lovers simultaneously
The succubi tasks can very well involve that.
>>
>>38169426
Temporarily at best, but I seriously doubt it.
>>
>>38169409
>Still far better than taking3 lovers simultaneously
It's either worse or equivalent in how bad it is.

I'd rather kill millions than do either, honestly. Hell, I'd rather free the not!Deathlord, but that's not on the table anymore.
>>
>>38169420
I agree but anons want to shun him again to "give him a normal life" Which at this point is unlikely as hell.
>>
>>38169420
Its not time sensitive at all, if he had a serious issue in that regard he would have contacted Shee when he found out.
Quinn won't come back, he's dead. If he would rise again, he would have done so after dying, he wouldn't have gone to a morgue.
Also, Ash is more responsible for Quinns death than Shee is.
>>
You head upstairs to find Lirael watching children’s holos, a half-full bowl of cereal in front of her.

“Hiya Lirael” you say “Want to make some stuff upstairs?”

“Shh!” Lirael says “It’s the season finale.” You sit with Lirael for twenty minutes as some sort of battle unfolds in the holo and the heroine rescues her man from some sort of dungeon. Finally Lirael finishes her breakfast and looks at you “What did you want to do again Shee?”

“I thought you might want to make some things” you say “in the realm, upstairs?”

“Oh” says Lirael “sure.”

The two of you head up there to see Rainya and Kaelyn sunbathing. Or rather, Kaelyn is sunbathing, Rainya is just lying down, looking exhausted.

“Hi Shee” says Kaelyn “want to join us?”

“No” insists Lirael “we’re making spaceships.”

“Well, try not to burn the place down” says Kaelyn, Rainya just gives a pitiable whimper.

We did that and then shooed him away the moment his usefulness to us was done. Hell we treat Yonsul better than that.

The only way to make peace with him would be to give him Kae back.

“Alright” you say to Lirael “Let’s make a spaceship, a small one to start with.”

Awww yes!” says Lirael “How about a KS Defender, no, an RPP Transformable Fighter!”

“Is there anything simpler?” you ask Lirael “This is my first spaceship after all?”

“Well” says Lirael, drawing the word out as the two of you walk further down the beach from Rainya and Kaelyn “I guess an Arrowhead would be ok...” you vaguely recall what that looks like from the models you bought Lirael...

“Ok, here goes nothing” you say, imagining the tiny arrowhead-shaped starfighter Lirael has, but bigger, big enough for her to sit in, to fly maybe. It would need an engine, a power source too, no weapons for now...

As you visualise it and impose your will upon your realm, it takes shape before you.

“It’s working!” yells Lirael “it’s working Shee!”

Before you a starfighter appears bit by bit, sleek and black, with wheels down, on the short runway you’ve built for it.

At looks vaguely arrowhead-shaped, aerodynamic despite being a space-going vessel, maybe they’re supposed to fight in atmosphere too?

Lirael gives a squeal of delight and rushes up to it, looking it over briefly and then heaving the canopy back and sitting in the cockpit, pushing buttons randomly and pulling levers.

Nothing happens.

“Nothings happening!” protests Lirael, looking at you.

“That’s because I haven’t switched on the power yet” you say, staggering over. Wow that took it out of you.

“Well switch it on!” says Lirael

“Do you even know how to fly one?” you ask

“Uhhhh” says Lirael “nope, but if you let me practise with this one, I’ll learn.”

“You need a simulator or something first” you point out “before you get to fly something like this, besides which, I’m not even sure it’ll work, I mean, I know kinda how a hover-engine works, but a full starfighter is beyond me right now.”

Especially right now, I highly doubt Kae is willing to contemplate reconciliation with her father.
All things considered.
The only way to manage that would be having some leverage on Reaper to make sure he won't mindfuck Kae.

And its true, your power over machines isn’t very strong, but just by touching the spaceship you can tell its not functional, and its internal design is all wrong. With time, and perhaps greater knowledge you can make a real one, but for now this is just a large-scale model, with some lights.

Still, Lirael is happy with it, sat in the cockpit holding the control yoke and yelling out “Red leader, I’ve got three bogies on me! Copy that Red Four, I’m on my way! Npew! Npew! Npew! Pewpewpew!” Lirael quickly falls into fighting imaginary battles with it.

This is going to take a little while, please be patient.
>>

That's what I was hoping you'd do.
>>
>>38169836
I actually didn't want to talk to Ash on purpose, because I don't want to explain how we found out about Quinns death at all.

So if you go with that minority option, could you have him call us about it?

>>38169836

seconding that request, thats a reasonable concern I hadn't even thought of yet.

>And its true, your power over machines isn’t very strong, but just by touching the spaceship you can tell its not functional, and its internal design is all wrong. With time, and perhaps greater knowledge you can make a real one, but for now this is just a large-scale model, with some lights.

>tfw no higher level artifice
>>
>>38169872
I'm really happy tentacles became so popular after it looked like we never get any in the beginning.

Makes me more positive about when people say "we get it alter" that we actually do.

>>38169888
I'd be more open to higher level artifice, if we knew what exactly those mechanical features will be.
>>
>>38169895
>I'd be more open to higher level artifice, if we knew what exactly those mechanical features will be.
Good cybernetics are designed to look like human parts and even if they weren't we have gifts that are more than capable of hiding them.
>>
>>38169845
Should have said that instead of making poor excuses, Anon. Assuming you are that guy, that is.
>>
>>38169898
They are specifically mechanical features, they will not look like normal human parts, because that would defeat the purpose of that cosmetic change.
>>
>>38169888
>Avatar of Jagganatha is based on Lain
That'd be pretty amazing.

Lain would be probably not a Avtar.
More Jagganatha, King and a bit of Ichor.
>>
>>38169940
That doesn't really contradict what I'm saying.
The eyes would still be visibly mechanical, even if the actual change isn't huge.
Unless Pally changed it since then, which he hasn't said anything on, so I'm going to keep with the assumption they are until confimred they aren't.

>>38169940
>biological cybernetics
I'm not sure how you imagine that?
I could see a merging of biology and technology so we have mechanical parts and biological parts that resemble the other so much you can't tell where one ends and the other begins.
>>
>>38169974
>That doesn't really contradict what I'm saying.
He didn't quote the part that contradicted you, oddly enough.
But Pally says before
>Cybernetics mutations
>Yes, some are visible, and some are not.
Which implies heavily that the early ones will not be visible and it was changed to cybernetics instead of mechanical.
>>
>>38169914
What >>38169940 said
Also, the point of this isn't cosmetic change. The point is that Artifice will modify what bonuses it gives and apply bonuses to other skills.

>Cybernetics do not offer seperate skills, they offer bonuses to existing skills, they have flat bonuses >>38046158
>>
>>38170008
>Also, the point of this isn't cosmetic change.
It actually is. It just also offers us the option of getting peripherals in form of "cybernetic" enhancements.
Those changes might also give us minor bonuses in something else, but I doubt its much, since the Imposibility changes to our other abilities also didn't offer any "mechanical" bonuses.
>>
>>38170039
>>38170039
Except it does offer mechanical bonuses.

>Impossibility: Many of the creatures in your dream realm appear unnatural – odd shapes and sizes and combinations of animals. Invaders to your dream realm take double the usual penalties from Aspect of Impossibility.
>Impossibility: Your tentacles no longer emerge just from your back – you can extend them from anywhere on your body.
(add the length of your tentacle to another tentacle's range x times by extending x less tentacles than your max.)
>>
>>38170087
Thats why I put "mechanical", its not a bonus to dice rolls or a new ability, it doesn't influence the "mechanics" of the ability.
Those are more "narrative" or fluff bonuses.
>>
>>38170114
I see your point, but you are conveying it poorly.
The change to our Dream Realm does have a mechanical aspect, and I expect the cybernetic changes to have similar small changes.
It was originally a cosmetic change, but that was when it was a rough idea in Pallys mind.
We'll have to see how influential the changes are now.
>>
>>38170114
The first one explicitly is a dice thing.

The second one I could see you saying it's not really mechanical because no dice, but it's still something that has associated values and some (incredibly minor) crunch to it.

You play with Lirael for a time. It’s not long before the two of you are engaged in a sword fight atop her spacecraft the Pirate Ship Wonderous Glory as Pirate Captain Lirael, scourge of the sector battles evil Admiral Honourless to save her crew and win the day!

With a final sword thrust that you catch under your arm, the Pirate Captain Lirael is victorious. You stumble back, hamming up your death scene as much as you can.

“I am victorious!” yells Lirael, waving her sword to the sky “Pirate Captain Lirael has rescued her crew, now bring me all the money and the girls!”

What sort of holos has this kid been watching?

Eventually however you leave Lirael to her fun and you head back down the beach to where Kaelyn is relaxing, and a single whimpering Rainya is supine.

“Ten minutes and then we’re back to it” says Kaelyn, sipping her drink and grinning at Rainya.

“Nooooo...” moans Rainya.

“Oh Hi Shee” says Kaelyn “How’s the spaceship?”

“Only ornamental so far” you say “But it’s a big hit with Lirael at least.”

“Save me Shee” begs Rainya “You’re my only hope.”

“Now Rainya” you say, kneeling down beside her “You said you needed to learn this, and Kaelyn is helping you, do you want to quit?”

“No” admits Rainya “It just hurts so much.”

“Well that” you say “that I can help with” and you extend your tentacles and wrap them around Rainya, kneading her muscles even as you use your psychic skills to take away her pain and fatigue.

“Thanks Shee but I’m really not feeling up to- ahhhh, oh that feels great mmm, yeah, oh more, don’t stop that’s just i- oh YEAH!”

As Rainya writhes in your grip Kaelyn leans over “would you like some privacy?” she asks with a leer “or company?”
>>
>Get Shadow of the Depths so that no physical changes are visible unless we want them to be
>People still freak out over potential physical changes
>>
“Nnnn Ignore her!” moans Rainya, breaking off the pleased noises she was making before resuming her compliments to your technique. Finally, after a while she gives one last thrashing spasm, easily lasting a good half-minute and then lies back, sweaty and trembling slightly in your grip “Aaaaaaah...” is all she says.

“And your ten minutes are up” says Kaelyn “time to get back to it.”

“Don’t wanna” protests Rainya “not even sure I can stand right now.”

“Sure you can” you say, and indeed, with a little help, Rainya can stand, and she doesn’t seem to be in pain any more.

“Ha ha!” exclaims Kaelyn “more rocks for you girl, follow me!” With a frustrated sigh, Rainya follows Kaelyn over to the rockpile. Kaelyn says over her shoulder “still, the next break will be for lunch, would you go heat up the oven or something, I’ll be down in a few minutes.”

You head back down to the Waystation and turn on the oven in the kitchen. At the same time, you comm pings, it’s a message from Ash.

-Quinns dead- it says –All my fault- Ah, so he knows.

-I’m sorry- you text back –I know he was your friend-

-I’m going to the Crimsonthornes- texts Ash –Maybe they can tell me what happened-

Yeah that doesn’t strike you as a good idea, whatever Baalzamon did to Quinns mind, Ash is still unprotected, if he gets close to Elder Crimsonthorne or one of the shadow vampires still hanging around the place....

-Stay there- you text back –I’ll be right over-

After telling your friends where you’ll be, you head out to Ash’s house.
---
When Ash opens the door you see he’s red-eyed like he’s been crying, and well-dressed, as though he was out somewhere, or perhaps he’s getting ready to go to confront the Crimsonthornes.

You start out with the important stuff “Ash I’m so sorry” you say, giving him a hug once you’re inside, he stiffens at your touch.
>>
“Thanks for saying so” he says in a surly way “but I know you hated Quinn.” He wanders into the living room and just stands there, his back to you, as if he doesn’t want to talk to you, his hands clenched into fists.

It’s true, Quinn was an asshole, but from what Ash told you, he was raised by psychos, so maybe it’s not entirely his fault.

“I know he was your friend” you say “and I can see he was important to you, so yes, when I say sorry I mean it, if not for him, then for you.”

A little of the tension leaves Ash “Thanks” he says quietly, adding “but this is all my fault isn’t it, I mean, I convinced Ash to tell me about...that guy, and then he gets killed. I mean really killed, he should have risen again, but didn’t.”

And that’s the part that puzzles you. With Baalzamon putting Quinns mind back together no one should have been able to read from him that he told anyone, unless Baalzamon lied, which is certainly possible.

Your response?

>Not your fault, Quinn tried to tell you before
>Not your fault, they must killed him for some other reason

>Its my fault, I asked you to do it
>We’re both responsible

>>38170216
>Why.
Its that sort of actual truth you usually don't tell people.
But if Ashley wouldn't have tried to get info out of Quinn, or if he would have kept his mouth shut during the dream visit, yeah it actually is his fault.
Just a terrible thing to actually tell him.
>>
>>38170182
>Its my fault, I asked you to do it and I think they killed him for another reason.
>>
>>38170182
>Not your fault, they must killed him for some other reason, so stay put unless you want to die too.
>>
>>38170236
Its actually not true. We just offered him the option. We didn't ask him to come.
I don't think pleasent lies and pity is what he wants right now.
>>
>>38170182
>No, it's Quinn's [dad? grandpa? I forgot who exactly he was standing in for]'s fault. He knew it was suicidal and he threw Quinn under the bus to save his own neck.

Quinn was set up to be a sacrifice regardless.

His family did not care about him, so he was thrown down to preserve their influence.
>>
>>38170229
>But if Ashley wouldn't have tried to get info out of Quinn
this part is our fault, though. We had him do it.
>>
>>38170182
>You tried to save his life Ash, if you wouldn't have helped, we would have needed to take a lot more drastic measures. It was the best chance to get him out alive, and I don't think this is what killed him.

>Enormous shitstorm and people yelling at eachother for the entire thread.
I can see it now.
>>
>>38170280
No, we never asked him anything like that.
Ashley got that idea on his own, and only told us about it long after.

>>38170296
Pretty much, yeah.
To be fair, its a terrible idea.
>>
>>38170280
>We had him do it.
Pretty sure we never did. He found out about that thing on his own and gathered info, he never told us about it until we asked him why he hangs out with Quinn.
And he got involved when Quinn told him after they had sex, which we don't even know when exactly that happened.
>>
>>38170303
>>38170321
I think he meant the part in the dream world where we had Ash be the one to get the info out of Quinn.
>>
ok so not your fault + its his families fault it is, writing.
>>
>>38170182
>>38170288
adding
>I'm going to see if I can find out something about his death, alright?
So he doesn't run off and do something stupid, and since we want to catch a shadow vamp anyway. We might as well find out.
>>
>>38170296
I see no reason not to. That would give him a lot more freedom and power, even enabling him to be more relevant to the story.
>>38170303
He tried once, failed, we had the option to try in a different way, Kae had an idea and we denied her to let Ash try again. It's more of Player/Voter fault than Shee's
>>
>>38170331
>its his families fault
Pretty sure that didn't win, because they majority didn't accuse Crimsonthorns, rightly so, because we don't know if it is actually their fault.
>>
>>38170330
>>38170346
You guys are confusing something here.
The original point was, Quinn died because he told Ash in their original, not-dream-world, chat.
Thats how Ash, and us, even found out at all that guy is visiting, and that is what in the end killed Quinn.
>>
>>38170346
>That would give him a lot more freedom and power
I don't think being cut off from his family and entire current life is giving him "more freedom".
>>
>>38170355
it's an interesting write in and not incompatible with telling Ash it wasn't his fault.

Still I take your point and will put it to a vote.

Blame Quinns family?

>Y/N

No means you tell Ash that you don't know why he died/who was responsible.
>>
>>38170402
Y
>>
>>38170346
>That would give him a lot more freedom and power
It would do neither.
Ashley won't start growing in power by it, he already is a vampire and has a Bloodline power.
Not sure what you mean by the freedom part, unless you try to go for the "have Ash stop his life for us"-thing, in which case. No.
>>
>>38170373
Quinn didn't say who was visiting, only that someone was coming. I think I understand what you are saying, but unless someone snooped inside Ash's mind, that little bit shouldn't be enough.
After all, there should have been nothin in Quinn's mind for anyone to know what happened.

We don't want him to run to Crimsonthorn.

>>
>>38170422
>>38170449
Sorry got cut off,
more importantly, Quinn did try to tell Ash the name, thats how we found out there was a block.
So yeah, that little chat was very possibly what killed Quinn.

Although personally I think something else caused his demise.
Remember how Baalzamon laughed when we made Quinn 'nice'?
>>
We should really make sure, he doesn't go into the estate and confronts the Crimsonthorn. We could volunteer to find out who killed him and bring him to justice. (I mean, we are going to hunt shadow vampires either way)
>>
>>38170545
We did I think? That write-in to offer to find out seemed quite popular.
And since we are in contact with Kae, its not even unreasonable to him we could find out.
>>
“It’s not your fault” you say

“I convinced him to tell us!” insists Ash, facing you angrily “We went into his dreams together and I got him to talk, if I hadn’t then he might still be alive!”

“We don’t know why he was killed” you say “It could have nothing to do with anything we did, jumping to conclusions and blaming people isn’t going to help anyone.”

“Do you really believe that?” asks Ash sourly

“I don’t want to chase after anyone until I know what happened” you say “maybe Quinn was killed because he talked, maybe he was killed for some unrelated reason, all we do know is that Quinn is dead, and that he hasn’t risen.” Ash nods slowly.

“Ah why the fuck did this have to happen?” asks Ash, collapsing into a chair, his head in his hands.

Because the Crimsonthornes wanted to turn humans into slaves - or farm animals, because they picked a very powerful and dangerous vampire to bargain with, because Quinn got scared and told you, because there were millions of lives riding on this.
All the reasons go through your head, but you don’t say any of them

“Are you going to be ok?” you ask “You’re not going to do anything stupid are you?”

Ash just stares into the distance “like you said” he says “no point in doing anything until we know, right?”

Your response?

“I’m not promising justice or revenge” you clarify “just that I want to know who killed him too, after that, we’ll talk.”

“Thanks Shee” says Ash, closing his eyes “Thanks”

“And I’m going to look at the shadow-using vampires” you say “I suspect they were involved somehow.”

“The Oubliette clan? But why?” asks Ash “I mean, if they didn’t find out Quinn talked why would they kill him?”

“I don’t know” you admit “I just find them suspicious I guess.”

“Yeah” says Ash with a choked laugh “I guess they are pretty suspicious, do you want help? I mean, I used to go into the Crimsonthorne estate as a kid, Quinn and I used to sneak in and out all the time and-”

“I’ll manage” you say “besides, they probably change their security arrangements all the time, they way you used might not even be there anymore.”

Asking doesn't trigger a roll, but neither does attempted Force, so if it is biting addiction, most likely Shee hugged him and he at worst nuzzled her neck suggestively or something like that.

You stay and talk to Ash as he reminisces about Quinn, telling about all the fun they had, the trouble they got into together. Ash skips over the parts where Quinn was cruel to him, preferring to remember the good times of two young, rich vampires just enjoying themselves.

It’s not long before Ash breaks out the alcohol. You accept a drink of some sticky spirit out of politeness and sip it slowly, Ash knocks back drink after drink as he tells his stories. Seems like he and Quinn had a lot of adventures together, nothing dangerous, just rich, frat-boy idiocy like stealing street signs, running around late at night whilst drunk, kidnapping their friends on their birthdays, things like that.

You listen and even laugh in a few places, some of the stuff they did was pretty dumb.

Around mid-afternoon Ash is so far gone he’s no longer making sense.

As he tries to raise a drink to his mouth and instead drops the glass you say “alright, that’s enough for you Ash, time to go to bed.”

“Hmm, wah?” says Ash as you pull him up, one arm over your shoulders and walk him upstairs to his bedroom.

“I think you need to sleep it off” you say “here, lie down.”

Ash wraps his arms around your neck “Shee, Shee” he says drunkenly “I missed you, you don’t know how much I missed you.”

“I missed you too Ash” you say “now let go, we’ll talk later, afterwards.”

“I miss how close we were” slurs Ash “what we had, I miss it.” And then his lips, and his fangs, brush your neck. Desire flames hot within you, it’s been several days since you last fed Lirael and the need to be bitten has crept up on you unawares. Suddenly your knees feel weak and you want, no you *need* to be bitten right now, no matter how weak you feel you need it. Right now the need is stronger than your self-preservation. Stronger than your promise to Lirael perhaps?

“Please?” asks Ash, “For old times sake?”
>>
That realisation is enough to firm up your willpower however, the knowledge that if you get bitten right now you would be betraying Lirael and that Ash is in no fit state to exercise self-control. You unwrap Ashs arms from around your neck and lay him out on his bed “Sleep well Ash” you say, and you walk out, leaving him alone.

As you leave you hear him murmur “Gonna get them for you Quinn...”
---
As you get off the bus and walk back to the Waystation you ponder your predicament, right now you need to get bitten, the desire is rising within you sharply, spurred on by Ash’s clumsy attempt. Although Lirael can now go for days between feeding, perhaps you cannot. And in your current weakened state Lirael could hurt you if she’s not careful.

Perhaps you need someone to watch over you, just in case, or perhaps you need to be in a gestalt with Lirael when she feeds, so that even if you pass out, you can monitor the situation.

It’s late afternoon.

Actions?
Shee's To Do List

1. Go hunting shadow vampires
2. Talk to Garrax (reunited)
3. Talk to Yonsul
4. Seek the favour of one of the Five (which?)
5. Research the Fae Court/Palace, is there a way in?
6. Rainya and Shee time (location? Go on a date? Other?)
7. Make some more stuff for your Realm
8. Go after Kulrathe and/or his officers (plan?)
9. Feed Lirael (gestalt? With a witness? Who?)

Or

Its not even been three days since we fed her at the facility.

Pretty sure Rainya would enjoy watching.

Not to sure about that

I was under the impression we feed her daily anyway?

She's been peeking on us feeding several times now.

>I was under the impression we feed her daily anyway?

You used to, but thanks to her increased Endurance Lirael needs feeding far less often. If she wasn't using her powers regularly she would only need feeding once every few weeks.

Simguns!

Maybe also see about buying some other sims or software.

Since we heal all 12h, we should have at least 16HP by now, I mean come on, Lirael can't be THAT greedy.
>>
>>38171335
>>38171371
Wanting a bite this badly is not really the time to go hunting shadow vampires.

>>38171381
She might behave differently now that her and Shee are an item.
>>
>>38171425
>She might behave differently now that her and Shee are an item.
Why would it be different now?
>>
I wonder if the Gestalt feeding will result in Shee biting Lirael at the same time. That'd be interesting.
>>
Feed with Rainya watching it is.
>>
>>38171472
Wouldn't really do anything right now, we don't have a vitae pool, nor a vampire-like pleasent bite.
>>
>>38171310
>9. Feed Lirael (gestalt)
>>
>>38171489
It'd restore our health during the feeding while draining Lirael's, prolonging the feeding overall.

And while it's not vamp-tier pleasurable, it still feels good.

So it'd be a longer duration with more pleasure per second for the linked mind to experience.
>>
>>38171466
>Why would it be different now?
>Why would a girl care that her girlfriend is being bitten in front of her in that weirdly-sexual vampire bite way and she has to watch because otherwise the aformentioned girlfriend could be seriously injured when she's been shown to have a possessive streak?
>>
>>38171542
Are you suggesting Rainya would be jealous of Lirael?
Seriously now.
>>
>>38171563
Maybe jealous Lirael gets Shee off so hard, but otherwise I'm more afriad she gets too distracted by the show to watch out.
Then again, we got 11 or 16HP right now, and if we use Psychic Healing right at the start, there isn't a problem anyway.
>>
>>38171563
More possessive than jealous.
>>
>>38171591
Not really? When has she been possessive?
When she's wary about Kae, its because Kae is inhumanly sexy and wants to do her girlfriend.
Thats not being possessive.

And its not like she considers Lirael "competition" in any sense.

Well, that’s one thing you can fix right now. Back at the Waystation you head upstairs to find Kaelyn, Lirael and Rainya splashing around in the shallows.

“Hi Shee!” says Lirael “join us, won’t you?”

“I might just do that in a bit” you say “but first Lirael, I think you and I need a moment.”

“Ok” says Lirael with a smile, heading out of the water in her swimming costume towards you.

“Rainya” you say as four Rainyas splash at Kaelyn, to shrieks of laughter “would you mind...?”

“Ah ok Shee” says Rainya, looking a confused. One of the Rainyas follows you as you lead Lirael into the beach house “Uh Shee” says Rainya “why do you want me here?” Lirael also gives you an inquisitive look.

“Because right now I’m not in top form” you say “and if Lirael takes too much I could be hurt, I want you to watch, just in case.”

“Uh Shee” says Lirael “I’m not so hungry, I mean I am but I can go for a few more days without if you’re not feeling well.”

“I can’t” you say, sitting down on the sofa “I’m going to be dealing with some very bad vampires soon and I face them with this sort of weakness, Lirael I want to feed on me at least every day for a while, maybe twice a day.”

“Ok...” says Lirael, as if she’s not really sure, sitting next to you on the sofa.

“What do you want me to do?” asks Rainya hesitantly

“If I pass out” you say “stop Lirael from feeding, ok?”

“Uh sure” says Rainya “right...”

Liraels arms circle your neck and you pull your top down, giving Lirael a clear chance your fle-

Oh, yes....that’s the stuff...Liraels fangs pierce your skin and your whole body relaxes. You didn’t realise just how much pent up tension you had. As Lirael bites you harder and draws more of your blood you give a moan of pleasure and wrap your arms around her, drawing her onto your lap, until Lirael is straddling you as she feeds.
>>
As your vision starts to grey out you retain enough presence of mind to say to Lirael “enough, enough stop.” Lirael pulls back, her lips stained with your blood and looks at you.

“Just, just give me a moment” you whisper, breathing heavily as you focus on your psychic abilities as you do so, healing your body as much as you can. You’re aware of Rainya just watching the two of you, her eyes wide.

[HP 16/130]

“Ok” you say to Lirael “again...”
---
Once you’ve both gotten what you need, you lean back on the sofa, Lirael cuddled up against you, her warm body pressed up against yours, her wings embracing you. Your mind swimming in pleasant, happy feelings. There’s no stress or worries for you right now, just joy.

“Thank you” you say to Lirael, kissing her cheek.

“I love you Shee” says Lirael, hugging you, and kissing you back.

Perhaps its this that prompts Rainya to speak. She has been sat across the room the whole time, looking troubled. Thankfully she never had to intervene, you managed to keep your wits about you, and Lirael always backed off when you asked her too.

“Shee this” says Rainya uncertainly, hugging herself “I mean, the two of you, this is always going to be a thing isn’t it?”

“If we don’t” you say “Lirael will either starve, or have to find her blood elsewhere.”

“But I mean, even when we find Liraels parents” says Rainya “You’ll need to find another vampire, won’t you?”

“No” says Lirael, shaking her head at Rainya “Shee is going to be coming with me, I’m not leaving her.”

Rainya just looks at you, an unasked question in her eyes.

Your response?

>Once Liraels parents are found, and if they leave with Lirael, I’ll try and kick this
>Yes, I’m always going to need this
>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together
>Other (what?)
>>
>>38171892
>Once Liraels parents are found, and if they leave with Lirael, I’ll try and kick this
Maybe now that we don't live in a shack in the Dust we might have a chance at it.
>>
>>38171892
>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together
Why wouldn't her parents stay in our realm where they would be safe anyway?
>>
>>38171892
>Once Liraels parents are found, and if they leave with Lirael, I’ll try and kick this
I've done it before
And I'm sorry if this made you uncomfortable.. Thanks for doing it

>>Once Liraels parents are found, and if they leave with Lirael, I’ll try and kick this

>>38171892

We should probably not say this to Liraels face
>>
>>38171892
>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together, should we not, because her parents don't want it for some reason, I'll kick it. I might even ask the Five to help.

>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together, should we not, because her parents don't want it for some reason, I'll kick it. I might even ask the Five to help.
You just made me realise thats a thing we could do.
No point now, but if it came to it, I'm sure cleaning us of an addiction isn't too hard for them.
>>
I'm sensing a fit.

>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together

>>38171892
>Once Liraels parents are found, and if they leave with Lirael, I’ll try and kick this again
>>
>>38171951
We should say what Shee actually thinks, since she can not lie to her anyway.
>>
>>38171997
Not really?
The only fit inducing option would be "Yes".
But the others are either telling Lirael what she wants to hear directly, or saying "only in case Lirael leaves with her parents", which will prompt Lirael to say of course they won't leave without Shee.
>>
I wonder if, when it comes time to do the bloodline reassignment thing, we'll end up pulling some cheesy but appropriate "now I'll always be with you, no matter what" line.
>>
>>38172098
Obviously we will.

And later we will have to fight Liraels parents because of the unholy powers we have infused into their daughter, forever seperating them from her.
>>
>>38172126
>unholy
Anon pls. It's not unholy, it's just nothing.
>>
>>38172126
We will make Rainya the head vamp of our bloodline and have her feed on us
>>
>>38172145
>not Lirael
>>
>>38172139
Sure, but will they see it like that when they see it?
Pretty sure Lirael suddenly manipulating the Void would freak them out pretty hard.
And I doubt they like the Five a lot.
>>
>>38171963
You just can't resist the urge to bring up asking for favor whenever we have the slightest problem, can you?
>>
>>38171892
>Sure Lirael, we’ll always be together
>>
>>38172176
Huh?
I usually advise caution when it comes to favours, but in this case, it is a serious concern, and if we would actually end up without Lirael, it would definitly be worth considering.
>>
>people not realzing our girlfriend is not okay with this...
u_u
>>
>>38172218
I realize, I just like Lirael more.
>>
>>38172218
There isn't really anything we can do about it.
We do need to feed Lirael, if Rainya likes it or not. And Shee puts up with her quirks, so she can definitly expect the same.
Also, when in doubt: Daughteru>Waifu
>>
>>38172169
Assuming Angels and Demons have the same racial animosity as Paladin of Joy (i.e. their respective magical energies are practically matter and antimatter), no, I don't think they'd be fond of *the ruler of Hell and father of demons*.

>>38172218
I think that the option to kick our addiction if it becomes relevant won, though. Not sure if the write-ins were lumped into the main votes.
>>
>>38172255
Even if they don't. I don't think anything Shee makes out of infusing already freaky shadow powers with her Imposibility will end up looking like a good thing.
