You feel like you're falling in a bit. Your eyes wide as images flash by you, gone before you can recognize them. You can't feel your body, you can't feel your heart beat. Are you dying?

Is this what death feels like?

You try to think or remember anything, but there's nothing. You can't breath. You can't remember anything... Who are you?!

Your mind begins to panic as you embrace the panic and try to grasp onto whatever you can before you feel your heart beating like it's about to burst. Following that is every other sense, starting with hearing. Around you, there's the sound of a city at night. It's oddly familiar. Next is touch as you feel the cold penetrate you to your bones. Sight, smell and taste follow soon after.

Groaning from the alley you find yourself in, you look yourself over. You're in a hooded coat with thick heavy duty pants and books. Stuffing your hands in your pockets, you find it doesn't help much to protect them from the cold.

Shivering in the cold, you try to piece together anything from your memories, but its like trying to catch water with a sieve. Grabbing at your head, you try to think before painful flashes make you stumble for support. There was.. people screaming... a girl with silver hair... and a man with a silver arm.

And a name.

Peter Parker.

Yours.

>1/2
>>
>>38137328
Grabbing at your hand, you find it has adhered itself to the wall behind you. As you try to pull it away with a conscious thought, your hand releases itself sending you stumbling back into the snow. You try it again and find that it occurs much more quickly and smoothly. Testing it, you find you can climb the wall with your hands and feet before you frop to the ground out a sense of practicality.

And you've got only three leads to go on here. Your name. A silver Haired girl. And a man with a silver arm. You've got no form of identification and no personal memories.

Great.

God fucking damnit I should have known you'd do something like this.

I guess our pockets are completely empty? Also there isn't anything shoved in our boots?

Wander the streets for a bit until we can find one of those newspaper dispensors to get information on the current date and location.

Also look at our reflection in a window to find out our appearance.

>>
Cosgrove, are you hard rebooting the quest ?
>>
>>38137526
Nope. This is in no way a reboot.
>>
>>38137526
Probably not. It's more that we were dangerously close to actually being on top of shit, and that just couldn't stand.

In theory this could take place immediately after the last thread where we were in the park at night and called Felicia, but it seems to be implied that we actually met the Winter Soldier in the flesh, and survived to tell the tale.
>>
I still insist we go for a walk, find a reflective surface, and see how we look guys.
>>
>>38137355
Find out what our face looks like
Find out where we currently are
Find out when we are
Also try doing some mental exercises to see if we have brain damage on a level beyond amnesia. Like what's our vocabulary like, are we good at math?
>>
>>38137570
Also in theory we might not even actually be Peter Parker.

Someone grabbed a sample of Peter's DNA yes?
I assume we're a clone created by whoever was pulling the strings on Silver Sable and Winter Soldier.
It explains why we remember the Winter Soldier and have amnesia too.
>>
wait, what?
The last think I remember we watched a video of the winter soldier killing our parents.
>>
>>38137669
>>38137743
Can you shut the fuck up and just play?
>>
>>38137743
You mean HYDRA? Because HYDRA is who the Winter Soldier works for, and maybe Silver Sable.

Though that means that the Goblin is also in league with the Nazi Shadow Government, which would be bad.

...Either that, or they just robbed Tony Stark for our blood samples, though considering the sample Stark had had traces of Ultimate Venom in it...
>>
>>38137820
We also stormed outside and called Felicia who told us to come to her place in the morning. I'm pretty sure we were wearing a heavy coat and boots as well, considering it's winter.

In theory, we could have just been almost killed immediately after we called Felicia and recovered at the cost of our memories.
>>
>>38137355
>try to remember girl, figure out where you are.

Also, Spectacular Spectacular Spider-Thread!
>>
You head out into the snowy streets, keeping your head down as you try to gather information. Looking around, you see a lot of stores with red and white heart-shaped decorations. From one of the many large screens nearby, it's not hard to see that it'd Valentine's day... well, night now.

You were in an alley on Valentine's day, with no memory except for a man whose main distinguishing feature you can remember is a silver arm. And a girl with Silver hair. You reach into your pocket instinctively trying to grab something that's not there. Your pockets are all empty after all.

It takes you only a moment to think of a solution. You have your name, so all it means is that that you need a directory to find out where you lived. Not bad for a guy who has some sort of awful traumatic memory loss.

Heading into a phone booth, you look for the name Parker and find... a lot of entries. Glancing up at the reflective glass of the booth, you wipe away where your breath fogged the glass to look at yourself. Your hair is incredibly disheveled and brown, your eyes and face look normal, if you seem a bit pale and sleep depraved. Your coat is a dark red, pants are black and boots are also black, with a light coating of snow on all of your body from being outside.

Looking down at the names, you try to think more on the girl. Did you know her? Pinching the bridge of your nose, you try to think in the fog of emptiness that is your memory. You think until something surfaces. She's wearing a very cute outfit, waiting outside of your school...

Midtown High, which according to the directory is in Queens.

Looking back at the directory, you find that there is one Parker right near the address of Midtown high. May and Ben Parker. Focusing on those names, you remember a kind old woman and a jovial man.

There's also an address from thinking on the girl, but nothing more.

That seems like your best leads- checking out midtown high and what might be your home or the address of the girl.

You make your way to the address. This will likely lead you to the Silver Haired girl. You hope so anyway. It's slow going initially, not only avoiding the numerous couples walking around, there's also the fact that it' takes a bit to walk there. And its closer, which in the cold is important.

Not entirely sure that the wall-climbing thing isn't some fluke, you just make your way there in a hurry, trying to ignore the cold. The cold crunches under your fear as you keep an eye out, but it seems like everything's normal.

On your way, you try to think- what happened and why can't you remember your memories? Why do you have your clothes but no identification? As you try to think, you feel a migraine start to set in, so you leave the matter alone for now.

Drawing up to the cement walls of the property, you see what looks like a derelict building in the property. There's no lights on, the door is busted out and the ground is untouched. Heading in, you go through the door to find that the building's empty- there's a barrel that looks like it has fire in it- used for heat?

But.. this isn't right... She... She should be here. She lives here? Grabbing your head, pain hits you as you feel conflicting memories dredge up from the amnesiac abyss of your mind. Sitting in a chair, the girl in the one next to you as you felt content... Going into the building, you saw everything in ruins with shredded information and burned documents...

Grabbing at your head, you start to see black spots in your vision as you feel like you're about to vomit.

Why would gamma radiation turn her into anything not-green? She obviously just presented herself in a different manner, like purposely having bad posture, when she was in her civilian identity so she would seem out of shape while limbering up whenever she wore her costume. There's also the concept of wearing extra bulky clothing that covers her body entirely, therefore giving the effect that she's a bit fatter than her counterpart. And for the reversal, she could simply pad her costume underneath the spandex with body armor to make herself seem more muscular than she really is

Probably nothing good, since we gave her some bullshit about heroic obligation instead of just being inertia.

Like we really don't have much of a reason to actually spend time swinging around looking for trouble. That doesn't mean that if we happen to see a crime we shouldn't stop it, or that if there's some kind of villain that seems beyond the ability of police to handle we shouldn't web up, it's just that going on patrol is more the result of survivor's guilt more than anything else, which this Spider-Man currently lacks.

Best idea for MCU Spiderman is for it to be a TV show. Coincidentally an idea that came out of /co/

But yeah, the only stuff I can remember from Spiderman: TAS was the absolute ridiculous shit like the actor who was in a Spiderman movie but got contacted by Madame Web to join with the other Spider-Men anyway. That, and "I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE END OF THE EARTH" being the best battle-cry ever

Well, the best next would be to establish a proper team with Gwen, Felicia, Flash and maybe the Fantastic Four wand whatnot to ensure that world (or at the very least NY) wouldn't perish when aliens/atlatias/mole people attack it.
>>
Grabbing at your head, you try to reconcile the memories. You feel like you're going to tear yourself apart before you take a deep breath. Alright. She lived here. Yuo were with her, and then at some point she moved away. Maybe. Hopefully..

Taking deep breaths, you slowly calm down. As the spots begin to fade from your vision you look down at the ground, seeing gouges carved into the ground leading to your hands. You head outside back into the cold and let the shock of direct cold and wind help you focus.

There's is something wrong going on here. Something extremely wrong. Shoving your shaking fists into your pockets, you hurry to what is hopefully your home. Walking down what is probably very nostalgic streets, you stop at the beginning of the shoveled walkway and look up at the house.

There's a sense of warmth and comfort andlossanguishlonlinessorphan as you look at the house. The thoughts of the kind older woman and jovial man are there again and so are the much more faded images of a young man and a beautiful woman smiling down at him with warmth. As you stare at the building in front of you, the front of your face feels painfully cold.

“...Peter?”

Looking to your left, you see a young woman in a heavy jacket and hat staring at you, her green eyes peering almost worriedly at you from her almost stoic demeanor and mountain of heavy winter clothing.

“...Shouldn't you be on your date? ...Did something happen? Where are your glasses? ….You're crying.”

This girl seems to know you, but you don't know her. But a date? The silver haired girl? She steps closer as you quickly consider your options.

That reminds me, assuming we do get a teamup going I feel like this should be our priority list
1: Goblin. Because he seems like a relatively minor threat now, but he also seems like he could get a lot worse if left alone. Best to nip this villain in the bud.
2: Kingpin. Mainly as a test run to see what we can achieve by working together. Like if we can't take down one crime lord, how can we hope to foil an alien invasion or a fascist New World Order. Also it seems like he might have some intel on HYDRA if Felicia got the flash drive while working for him.
3: HYDRA. This will be really hard, probably require working with both Tony Stark and Victor von Doom. Ideally we'd just get the ball rolling and they can handle the rest with their vast resources and armory. We should prioritize taking down the Winter Soldier if possible, since if we do oppose HYDRA they'll inevitably send him after us regardless, and if he's their top enforcer, he might know stuff.

Shivering, you bring one hand up to scratch at your head with embarrassment. “Well, that's the funny thing. I seem to have come down with the strangest case of amnesia. I'm not sure who you are, I barely know who I am and I'm only about sixty percent sure that this is my house.”

Her eyes widen with worry as she looks about back and forth before grabbing your hand and dragging you down the street. “Look, I don't know much but I'm pretty sure that you avoid doctors for a good reason, so let's try to find your Girlfriend Felicia. She's got whitish hair, green eyes and you two have been dating off and on for a while.”

You dig in your heels as she grinds to a halt- her mitten covered hand warm around yours. “But couldn't we do that in my house?”

She minutely raises an eyebrow. “...I guess, if you want them to take you to the hospital, which you avoid, because you have a freak case of amnesia while you sit at a hospital and have them try to figure out what's wrong with you? Because your Aunt May would freak out if she found out you suddenly didn't have any memories of who you are? Which might bring the interest of Tony Stark, who you work for which might draw more attention than you want?”

You grimace. “I get the point. So, could you fill me in on who I am, who you are and who my family and other things I might need to know while we're on the way?”

The girl snorts. “Fine, but I'm not doing it because I particularly like you or anything.”

You stare at the girl, completely lost. “You've lost me.”

Her head turns back with a sad smile. “Good. I'm Mary Jane, by the way. Mary Jane Watson.”

Build an army in your mind.
You can't sit still.
And you don't like hanging round the crowd.
They don't understand

You dropped by as I was sleeping.
You came to see the whole commotion.
And when I woke I started laughing.
The jokes on me for not believing.

We are not your kind of people.
Speak a different language.
We see through your lies.
We are not your kind of people.

Creatures you despise.

MJ was previously this quest's incarnation of Typhoid Mary, and that might still be the case, even if she isn't still Carnage.

That means that she might be an unstable and powerful psychic.

What scared me was more what she represented, that she was so close to our loved ones and we were bound by the chains of not-metagaming to stop her.

There's a veritable deluge of information that she tells you on the way. You're an orphan, your parents dead when you were a child. You've been raised by your Aunt May and Uncle Ben since then. Felicia Hardy is your girlfriend. Harry Osborn used to be your friend until he became a total jerk.

Details that while they don't seem to be wrong all just draw a blank for you. Whenever you'd ask her about how she knew you, all she'd do is tersely state that you knew her as children until she moved away and she only moved back relatively recently.

Its strange to hear about your own life and not be able to remember any of it, like some stranger listening in. The Peter Parker you hear about sounds like a genius, incredibly smart, but also without any drive. To have the intelligence to do a lot of good but would rather just let opportunities pass him by and coast aimlessly. She didn't say anything that was unkind about you, but that's the impression you get when hearing about yourself.

The two of you approach a small restaurant on an empty road as Mary Jane looks in before staring at you, stepping back with confusion and worry on her face. Stepping forward in worry, she takes another step back towards the door and glances back in before keeping her eyes locked on you. Glancing in, you see a silver haired girl sitting at a table laughing at something.

Sitting across from her is a young man with a bright, warm smile.

The only problem is that that young man has your face. Your hair. Your eyes. Mary Jane's voice is an equal mixture of confusion, worry and horror.

“..Who are you?”

You look into the restaurant before looking at your own reflection in confusion. Staring at your face, the same as the man inside, you look back in at the young man and his girlfriend.

Going on patrol is retarded and the only reason canon versions of Peter Parker do it is due to Uncle Ben trauma, and has been repeatedly pointed out as unhealthy by multiple characters.

And we go after villains when we find out they're around.

You stare at the man in front of you before looking at the mirror and take a step back. This... this isn't.. you're Peter Parker. Aren't you? AREN'T YOU?!

Staring at the man in the restaurant and the girl with white hair you find your vision fading a black spots appear in your vision. You drop to your knees as images- memories- assault you. Every memory of who Peter Parker- of who YOU should be. Growing up as a child being harassed by Mary jane Watson.

The Fire, the strange girl who saved you. The man with the Silver arm who killed them. A man with an eyepatch staring down at you to quietly tell you 'I'm sorry' before pain hits you. Aunt May. Uncle Ben. The future. The girl in the box. Felicia. Iron Man. Venom. SHIELD.wakingupaloneandscaredandrunningsocoldsoverycoldwarmthsomuchwarmthneedthewarmthgivemegivemegivemeGIVEME

You hear a shriek as you snap to attention as Mary Jane is back against the glass looking at you, especially your arms, in horror. Looking down you see the fabric torn apart as red and black flesh and tendrils erupt from long deadly claws. Looking at yourself in the reflection, you see black and red, two large, white eye-like patches and black and red mouth with pointed teeth. The face of Carnage, but not. Different. More whole.

Looking down you see the claws respond as they would your normal hands as you know instinctively how to manipulate it and your flesh. With a thought the flesh turns back to that of a human- you see your own horrified expression- and that people inside have noticed that something is happening. Including the Peter Parker within.

Oh god. Oh God. What's happening to you!

Of course, if the blood sample was taken with traces of fake venom, then the Venom would be in our bloodstream which means Carnage.

“Mary Jane. Wait- don't. I'm Peter! I promise! I... I need help though. Something wrong with me!”

She's terrified of you as you try to step closer. As you do, she steps back until she's against the glass. You see Peter- the other Peter moving. Oh god what's wrong with you. Is it the suit? The project Venom acting up? Is that a fake? Are you? Who are you?”

“Please... help me.” You extend a hand as she flinches away. Seconds later the door opens as people step outside and you see that Peter Parker is moving towards you. Felicia's trying to take a look at you, but in the dark and with your hood they likely can't see anything. But they're coming.

Is he a fake? Is he real? Does it matter? If he's real, then what are you? More importantly, with what you did... even if you were the real Peter, you wouldn't want Felicia to see you. Not like this.

For starters, realism. We're panicked, we don't know what's happening, there's one person in the world who we know we know and we know knows us. You pause for a moment. You could grab her and leave. Find a place and explain to her. Get her to help you.

But as you look at her terrified face, you can't stand her looking at you like a monster. Pulling your hood down further, you run. You run fast and hard. If you were the Peter that arrived, you'd probably go after Carnage if you thought it were alive, especially if it approached your friend.

You need to get away. Hide. Figure things out. Like, why you're here. How you're here. And there's a feeling that you don't like the answer when you find it.

And if you know yourself as well as you think you do, Peter Parker won't let yo run free. Not if you're a clone and especially not if you're something like Carnage. You feel your own self-hatred and disgust at yourself as you remember the monster.

Thats a wrong kind of question, corect one would be "Where can we go to get help", which is Baxter Building since Tony was trying to murder Flash/Venom and Spyral is more of cybernetic geek than biology.

Good thinking sadly he is Latveria almost all the time.

Because we know what we'd do to Carnage if we were in his shoes.

Wearing his face? Approaching his friends?
>>
>>38143326
This is basically Carnage in an early form and I'm pretty sure Peter would rather stomp out Carnage for good, right here and now than let it go on the offchance it might not be a horrible genocidal killing machine.

Well, all you need to know is that Reed is one of the smartest people in the usa, Susan is world famous Biologist, Ben is/was professional pilot so he have nerves from steel and Jonny is hothead so we better not get to close to him.

You need to keep out of sight. Keep yourself from being seen. You've got the mind of Peter Parker... No, you ARE Peter Parker, so you know how you think. And, if you were Peter, which you are, you wouldn't think that Carnage would think like you, that it was you. If it was Carnage, it would be doing it to hurt you.

You remember seeing Flash die. You remember Carnage wearing Gwen's face. You remember the fight. Taking the coffin-girl's hand-who was she its like she was both there and not at the same time- and heading back home with the cure. But you remember that against this thing you didn't have to worry about it being hurt. You didn't care. You wanted it to hurt. You wanted to best it, to humiliate it, and then let it be erased from history entirely.

So if that thing was here- even if it was a young immature version, there would be all the more reason to stop it now. Keeping underground via waterway and areas under bridges, you keep yourself out of sight. But he's looking.

You know he is.

You need a game plan to survive while trying to figure things out, like what you are and how you're here.

Sorry buddy but you are a clone so there is that, also you need to check with someone good at biology to make sure your butt isn't going to fall apart in to a goo, Susan (and Reed) should be able to cover that up.

Point one: With Peter's conscience in play, I doubt he'd want to start nomming bystanders in case he turns out to be Carnage. So blending is out.

Point two: Susan was also conducting blood tests on original Peter. It's reasonable to assume she may have stored his blood somewhere.
Mmm... Delicious, refrigerated Parker blood.
So Baxter is also out.

Then, in summary, a period of isolation may be preferable at this juncture.

He clearly stated that security is disabled, so even if he is with shield they don't going to know that Clone_Peter is in the building, also since he didn't do anything public from the time Fury visited him three months ago he probably got same deal as mutants (Yes, Peter knows that mutants are a thing, Magneto given us documents about this stuff )"try not to be too public white boy".

Withdraw as much money as possible. Sucks for Peter, but it might also make him think we're not a mindless monster.

Also, I wonder if, due to not being Peter Parker, we're fair play for the Spiders?

We're Carnage bro. Not the Carnage of the bad future timeline, and the circumstances of our creation are probably different, and we have the memories of Peter Parker and not Spider-Man (how are they so up to date?) but we're probably Carnage. Unless we're really Parker and what we saw was an LMD.

You find your way to a payphone at the crack of dawn, nabbing enough money to make a call discretely once you're sure that nobody is on your trail at the moment and call the Baxter Building. More importantly, you call Johnny, whose voice is groggy and tired.

“Hello? How did you get this number?”

Clearing your throat. “Johnny. It's Peter. Sortof.”

There's a pause as his voice is flat. “Sortof? You mean how you're that carnage thing. Yeah we already know. The real Peter told us. Said we should trust you as far as we should trust putting our hand in an active garbage disposal.”

You let out a sigh. “Yes. And that is exactly the problem. I need help. I need to figure out how I got here and how to well... fix myself. Because looking like that thing -is not- my idea of a good time.”

There's silence for a few moments before Johnny responds. “See this is the problem. I'm dumb so I don't know if this is some sort of mind game or not. And if you're telling the truth I'd want to help you. If you're lying I wouldn't want to give you the chance. So I'm really, really hoping that you understand that I am in no way trying to screw you over but I obviously don't want to be screwed over-”

A finger reaches past you and hangs up the phone.

The black armored hand draws back as you see The Black and White form of Venom standing there, ready to act. “They're tracing the call, idiot. You didn't think they wouldn't?”

The lenses of his mask- a symbiote mimicking one actually- leans in and observes you. “Its funny. You disgust me on one level but yet... not. Anyway, you think they didn't set up something already? Even if you're telling the truth, they planned to lock you in a cell till the end of your days. For Peter Parker, you're something that would threaten his peaceful life , let alone the numerous other risks you'd pose one way or another."

You look at Venom, ready to run if he tries something or freaks out. “And how do you know I'm telling the truth?”

He shrugs. “It isn't like I give a damn. If you're a liar I'd kill you like the monster you were. Besides, you don't think I didn't come here prepared, did you?”

You see the edge of a large deadly scythe in one large, metallic skeletal hand pointed at your neck, ready to reap your head from your shoulders. Ghostly green eyes watch you from behind old, cracked glasses as the rest of the form is obscured in the shadows, like an incorporeal phantom.

Venom signals to the phantom which draws back into the shadows with its scythe as he starts moving away. “And I've got eyes on the back of my head, so I'll know if you try anything. You either can come with me, stay here and be caught, or chance it on your own.”

He gives a perimeter sweep quickly before turning back.

“Your choice, so make it quick.”

And he's off into the night.

There's something off with this Venom. He's Flash, right? That sounds right- the costume sounds right but there's still some memory differences from you and the other Peter- time that you don't recall. But more importantly, you know that the caution and fear of you isn't wrong.

You watch Venom go as you sit down and watch the dawn break. Shortly thereafter, several vehicles arrive as you see the entire cavalry arrive. Peter Parker, exhausted but tired watches you as Reed Richards keeps his distance. There seems to be what looks like a containment vehicle for you.

You don't move as they remain cautious. You see Peter tense as you take down your hood and look at him with your face- his face. There's a peaceful look on your face. Even if you're locked up forever, so long as nobody else with get hurt because of you... that's good enough for you.

“I surrender. As I've said before, all I want is help. I don't want to hurt anyone.”

Everyone watches you like you're a bomb about to explode as you let yourself be loaded up into the back of the vehicle as the isolation and containment chamber closes- the back of the vehicle is still open as you watch Peter Parker approach you. You smile sadly at him as he watches you like you're a snake about to strike.

“Please tell Mary Jane I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten her. Truly.”

There's one last thing you want to tell him. Standing up you approach the edge of the 'containment box.'

“We both know this is necessary because we know exactly how dangerous I could become. I'm willing to sacrifice my own freedom and possibly life to make sure that what happened in that horrible future never happens here. But you...”

>1/2
>>
>>38145961
>exhausted but tired
Feeling a bit sleepy yourself?
>>
>>38145961
You point at him. “You're a genius. I'm you so I know how smart you really are. But man, you act so dumb!”

You see Peter's face twist into a furious scowl. “Look, Peter, secrets have a cost. Stop bearing it all alone and hiding from the world. You have the power to help people- with or without that mask- so stop dilly-dallying and live up to your full potential. That's a responsibility you owe not only to everyone who believes in you, but to me as well. You've got to work twice as hard to make up for the good I would’ve done, too! Got it?!”

The door closes as Peter watches you with mixed emotions on his face. You're biting back tears yourself. Your regrets, hopes and dreams... they're his too, after all. Eventually, youre left alone in an artificially lit cell as you sit down and look at your hands. You remember Carnage from the future- of the devastation it was able to cause. You let your arms turn into the claws with tendrils as you watch them.

“Neither of us have any luck, do we? Your power is to great and terrible. You'd keep the world at bay...”

You focus as you hands return to their human state- the symbiotic form suppressed back into the depths of your body.

“...But that's why I'll keep -you- at bay. Stay tranquil, deep inside of me, forever.”

I leave it all up to you, Peter.

Peter Parker Quest interlude END
>To Be continued
>Not your kind of people
>>
flash getting a bit edgy now.
Also I feel sort of bad for Carker, but he is certainly taking it in stride and seems to acknowledge he's a clone or hybrid easy enough so so much for a true identity crisis,

Also disagree with the comment about him thinking we have no drive or ambition.
>>
>>38145988
Rather poignant Cos. Hopefully we can help this guy. He deserves it.
>>
>>38146005
>Also disagree with the comment about him thinking we have no drive or ambition.
We don't, not really, things happen to Pete and he deals with it or makes the most of it, but we haven't gone out of our way to actually DO anything.
>>
We prototype in here.
Shame it ended that way, but it is what it is. Who would have guessed Flash would want to work with Peter let alone ruse us like that?
>>
>>38146005
Hopefully this will give Peter motivation to become better at science and maybe fix his bro in the future.
>>
>>38145988
Ehhhhhhhh... Not that great a conclusion. In fact, I'd go so far as to say outright shitty.

Like even if we're too dangerous to go outside, there's no reason not to give us a (monitored) internet connection and let us do some (closely supervised) science.

And again, the personality and memories Bad Future Carnage absorbed were that of a psychopath, while ours was, well, Peter Parker.

And finally, your bullshit about us not doing enough is outrageous considering all the shit you keep piling on us, and our current goal was to take down a Nazi splinter fraction that had infiltrated the most powerful intelligence agency in the world AS WELL as the US government.

Also another reason to turn ourselves in was self-preservation. We know that the bad future clones tended to degrade really quickly, so for all we know we'll only last a week.
>>
>>38146063
Peter does have a lot of responsibilities and stuff, but it has been pointed out before he is really only Spider-Man due to inertia. He is squandering his potential. Cos said himself the point when Peter finally figures out a reason to be Spider-Man will be when the quest ends.
>>
Ehhhh, I was hopping Reed would put Not_Peter in similar cell as Silver Sable so we could bro him up in spare time.
>>
>>38145988
Congratulations, guys, you just put our Ben on the Bus.
>>
>>38146103
I don't get the reference.
>>
>>38146093
Or a reason not to be Spider-Man.

Also swinging around the city hoping to find muggers that we will then punch, cover in webbing, and leave them to be later released on lack of evidence, doesn't seem way more like squandering potential than some of what we've done in the lab?
>>
>>38146113
Writing off a character and never seeing them again.
>>
>>38146103
can't say I'm too thrilled with the conclusion, but it was pretty logical given previous events.
Also in before nazis or taskmaster bust him out and attempt to bend him to their will.
>>
>>38146103
Honestly? He'll figure out a way to escape if he feels like it. And Venom and Mephisto really seemed too convenient to be legit.

I'll agree that finding our own way may have been better.
>>
>>38146115
Does Felicia not count as a good reason to not be spiderman?
>>
>>38146115

That's not the Spider-Man I see us as. I already liked how we were the one that faced threats above the regular polices' pay-grade. we also know of several alien invasions and Galactus. I see spider-man being more Avenger-tier hero than street level if we do it right.
>>
>>38146115
>Also swinging around the city hoping to find muggers that we will then punch, cover in webbing, and leave them to be later released on lack of evidence, doesn't seem way more like squandering potential than some of what we've done in the lab?
It's less about the things we do and more about why we do them, we've made like a bunch of general spider-tech that we rarely use because that's what comes to mind, Pete doesn't have anything he want to achieve or accomplish, either by lab work or by doing heroics.
>>
>>38146143
Of course not. She offered that and Pete said naaah sorry have to get involved with super secret spooky plot about my parents.
>>
I don't think that's the last we'll see of him. If it is, it was just a big long round about way of Cos telling us that we need to do something ourselves rather than reacting to everything he's throwing at us, which won't ever happen due to the very nature of questing and 4chan as well as super heroes.
reactive, not proactive. Always and forever.
>>
>>38138326
Don't forget to archive guys!

Thanks for running Cos.
>>
>>38146145
And I too agree with that. I'm just saying that aimlessly wandering around, HOPING we'll find something very dangerous seems like a waste of time, because Peter Parker doesn't realize the universe operates off of comic book logic.
>>
>>38146156
Technically we just wanted to know what it was, and we don't want to let it kill us or ruin our life. We've seen how even just the suit turned Osborn bitter, as well as the depths of Sable and Felicia's obsession. Even if they are our parents, the dead don't get to define us.

But even so... HYDRA can't get away with this.
>>
>>38146048
I feel that another quest pulled the "stop fucking around and find purpse" card a little while back too, but I can't remember which one.
New trend perhaps?
>>
>>38146251
Hollow Quest Redux with suddenly Lucifer?

Which is still ridiculous because all the sideplots we were juggling didn't go away, and now they're more likely to get worse.

Like the Apocalypse beginning in earnest is going to be GOOD for Jager's mental health?

I really hope Cosgrove isn't going to just kill him off, there is a huge potential for Parker bros moment.
>>
>>38146277
How is that quest? I stopped reading the archives when everyone stupidly challenged that captain to a rap battle and plant-chan sacrificed her/it's existence to re-write reality.
>>
>>38146307
Eh, if we didn't turn ourselves in, we'd be joining the dark side, and going free we would inevitably turn feral.
>>
>>38146310
Vice-Captain. And I don't know, players still make dumb choices like that, but balance it out by being really paranoid and indecisive other times.

And by now I've realized that at least part of it is on the QM, who has weird ideas about threat levels and interpersonal dynamics.

...Still can't quit it though.
>>
>>38146277
>>38146251
Sacred Jewel sort of did it too. "Find courage and walk forward, why are you even here?" type talk we had with Kikyo.

All things considered I hope we can see and interact with "Peter" again at some point and he doesn't have to stay locked up forever in Baxters totally legal holding cell.
Although he seems to want to be contained which is an even bigger bummer... thought for sure we could have been free, but Peters logic would naturally dictate that Carnage in any form much be isolated if not destroyed so he simply did what he would have done.
Tragic really. I was half expecting him to jump at the end there.
>>
>>38146151
Okay yeah we do kind of do that. I mean we DID build an Arc Reactor just because we could, and then... left it lying around.

Oh hey, copy-us can also build his own Arc Reactor, though what he'd get out of it I don't know.
>>
>>38146348
Earn his keep at the Baxter Building.
>>
>>38146348
>"Well if I'm Carnage I guess I can manipulate my body like a shape shifter? And if I'm Peter I should be able to figure out how things work mechanically... maybe I can figure out how to reconfigure my biological structure to make it more efficient or to produce more complex structures than tendrils and bony protrusions. How hard can biology even be right?"
>>
>>38146333
Eh, that's a bit more logical in Sacred Jewel. Since virtues like that are a big deal in Inuyasha.

And again, there already was a mass murderer the media dubbed Carnage before the Suit was thawed and the Carnage symbiote was made.

I'm honestly glad we never found the Symbiote in this quest, because Parker would have gotten all judgy with that as well.
>>
>>38146372
Hm, should have figured out if we could shift our physical appearance to look like other people.

Guess we'll have time to practice, assuming they're not just gonna freeze us for no reason.
>>
>>38146333
Maybe he will uprate his cell to this kind of sterile room so Peter could visit him from time to time wile sill being separate from others.
>>
Imagine Peter Parker SCIENCING with Peter Parker.

The things we could build.
>>
>>38145961
Weren't the votes even?
In any case I hope that this isn't the end of Clone Peter. No offense but it seemed like a Slott arc.

Neat idea at the start. Then as it goes nothing really happens and it just sort of has an end. Nothing really changes, nothing really happened in it. Just alot of nothing.
>>
>>38146401
In fairness, that's because we didn't join the totally legit Venom.
>>
>>38146310
It's great but it has bad ended NOT! Once or twice more. QM's management of relationships is iffy. Other than that it's breddy good. Really could use some new players. At the moment one or two guys just shit post about everything the QM writes constantly if it goes even slightly wrong.
>>
>>38146422
I know Commuter was talking my ear off about it, but I don't know. I stopped reading GuP LGA rather early on because i had gotten busy/behind. Same with Pokemon Quest now. I'm like 6 threads behind because Gobble updates so fucking much. I also spend too much time playing CK2 but that is on me.
>>
>>38146401
its tying up loose ends so that when I reach the finale of the quest everything will flow smoothly with all the pieces in play- whatever those pieces end up being at that point.

For example, the choices here in this interlude will have an effect- at this point, there is no 'putting someone on a bus'
>>
>>38146439
I feel you. I never finished LGA. I.. got.. halfway through?

Still kicking myself for taking the time to read Bleach quest. I hadn't realized it had ended.
>>
>>38145988
Thanks for the thread as always Cos, I can't wait for the next one, whenever that may be.
>>
>>38146456
Even if you're planning an immediate sequel with "Spider-Man" quest. I feel like you're still really optimistic in your ability to craft a satisfying conclusion with everything as it is now or even in the next several threads.
>>
>>38146456
Thanks for the Quest Cos. Good to have you back!

I'm going to bed now. Been fun anons!
>>
>>38146383
>>38146372
More or less. Symbiotes and shape shifting in general is some of the coolest shit if you take it to an extreme or another (like most powers, but still).
In this regard, think of John Carpenters: The Thing, but sapient rather than simply reactionary and instinctive.

Full control. The ability to change your body and cloths on a whim, squeeze through a locked door, hug someone and quickly wrap around them like an iron maden, form complex musculature to fire bony projectiles, reshape your body to evade blows, breath under water or fly... the possibilities are endless if the users grasp on biology is strong enough and they can shift quickly enough.

This kind of quick change in the core composition of a structure is most likely only feasible with more liquid entities like the symbiotes than with solids like Mistique.

Another thing of note is that while Symbiotes are of this liquid type, they may only be able to form basics without any complexity due to the simlistic nature of their own biology being mostly an ooze that would infect the host with little to no control over the hosts core biomass. In contrast Mistique can shift on a basic level, but lacks sufficient biomass and maybe even possesses certain nurological barriers that prevent her from changing the core of her shape and biology. A single brain trying to change the foundation of what it is and works with.
Finally you get a multi brained organism like The Thing. Each cell its own living and sentiant (if not sapient even) organism. This increases "brain" type computing exponentially allowing for quicker and more complex transformations as seen in the film.

I believe what we have here could be considered middle ground for The Thing and a Symbiote in terms of its functionality since it is at its core a brand new species. A hybrid of human and symbiote. We can see some interesting things from this specimen, but its true potential has yet to be seen.
>>
>>38146491
We're not a symbiote. We're derived from Ultimate Venom, the artificially made bioweapon our father based off of the real symbiote.
>>
>>38146543
that's honestly just semantics at this point I think.
he's a bit long winded, but the final point still holds true: we're something entirely new. A brand new form of life with tons of potential to be tapped. if only we had decided to go more into biology early in the quests life

>>38146459
Unfortunately BQ did end (and sort of in the middle of things on bad terms with the playerbase and QM), but it's still a very fun ride.

As far as catching up goes, I still have like 15 Eclipsed Moons to read and those can be pretty thick volumes.

I've picked up then forgotten about so many quests... was following Aizen and DBH for a while, but the writing never really grew and stayed kind of shallow which was a shame.

All things said, I've been with PPQ since thread 1 and I'm in for the long haul while hoping Cos can keep the good times rolling and maybe even start up something new or pick something up when it's over.
>>
>>38146599
>15 Eclipsed moons

Yeah in about 10 shit gets heavy. A one is rolled. Bad decisions are made. Shit's calmed back down.
>>
>>38146614
Eh, people in that quest like making bad decisions on purpose to spice things up.
>>
>>38146614
still better than other anime quests which I won't name where nothing seems to really happen.

Lets try and keep on topic guys.
>>
>>38146491
If we're going to be based on science, all that movement is gonna burn energy, and we don't know if we can eat real food. To be honest, it could be a reason to put Carper in cold storage, if he needs to kill people to regain energy and Reed (and us) can't work on a workaround.
>>
>>38146637
I'm kind of annoyed that real Peter is just hanging with Felicia right now and isn't making any plans. I mean I'm glad we're not letting it consume us but still. We got shit to do. Kind of glad that the clone turned itself in, because that would have just been one more thing we would have wasted time and energy dealing with.
>>
>>38146657
Honestly, we should try and go talk to him, get to know him and develop a work around.
>>
>>38146675
Too busy. If he told us to start doing shit then I guess we should start doing shit even though in the long term it might likely make things worse by popularizing supercrime.
>>
a bit bummed we never had an identity crisis type confrontation. "How do I know you're me and that you're not a fake?"
I feel like our revilation should have been far more traumatic.

Also lol at Pete not even getting a normal Valentine's. Poor Felicia.
>>
>>38146704
Eh, since we mutated into a monstrous form upon seeing Peter Parker, it kind of puts the ball firmly in his court as far as claiming to be the real deal.
>>
>>38146647
honestly his biological structure should still be based somewhat on humanity and symbiote , which would just mean that he needs to eat or consume biomass anything should do with meats probably being preferable.
Then again we're in comic book land.
>>
>>38146718
who's to say real Parker couldn't have been infected in memory wiped?
Pretty ckmon tropes especially for clone saga.
>>
>>38146729
Pretty sure Ultimate Carnage needed to drain people into husks to stay alive. Though it stopped doing that when it became Gwen Stacy.
>>
>>38146748
I guess it's only fair to check ourselves out as well.

I'm really curious about the memories more than anything. Like where'd they get and transfer them from?
>>
>>38146753
Well this one became Peter Parker. Problem solved.
>>
>>38146762
AssCreed DNA shinanigans probably.

actually wasn't near media room there with the cops on that there would be? That means Peter might be getting some heat at school and elsewhere and Tony's definitely not going to be happy.
>>
>>38146762
Genetic memory stored via symbiote and suit elements within the sample of blood.
>>
>>38146753
carnage here just needed Peter's DNA and if its fused with Peter that should be a non issue now.
he seems pretty stable. Getting back to it and yes you would need a large amount of materials to consume in order to keep changing like that.
>>
>>38146814
But it seems like we had really recent memories of Felicia.

Also, symbiote?
>>
>>38146814
I just realized one more thing that kind of annoys me about clone boy telling us to do more stuff.

Your fondness for tossing out timeskips like they're going out of style, which means that we just let shit hanging for weeks.
>>
>>38146835
Like we seemed to have had last thread's memories of Peter Parker, which means that this Peter Parker probably hasn't done anything with Flash, or Sable, or anything else for that matter.
>>
>>38146818
Well yeah anything you do takes energy. I sort of look this type of thing like a caterpillar wear any kind of change requires a lot of energy and food.
so Peter Cronenberg here would probably have to keep a bucket of chicken under his arm every fight or work buying vendor food into his fight routine.
