Possible topics to discuss:
>Chapter doctrine is about to change as your men are finishing their retraining, is everyone happy with that
> Unfinished business section in the wiki hasn't been updated for ages, should we get rid of it?
> What are next plans as Chapter Master is back to Sector Deus?

Also, in good news, you have +9xp to spend (I was forgetting to mention it during the past few threads, so it accumulated!)
>>
http://chapterquest.wikia.com/wiki/Expected_events
Whole lot of stuff to get through here.

1. Order the 500 Power Armour from Nestorium for 250W.
2. Upgrade those two kids to Librarians for 20W
3. Order 30 Jump Packs for 51W
4. Recruit 3 more Chaplains for 30W
5. Recruit 4 more Apothecaries for 20W
6. Inform Seran that he should start selecting initiates he deems suitable for techmarine training of his own volition. We need more techs.
7. Buy a Teleportarium for the Aspera Dominus for 15W
8. Send out the squadron of Hunter Destroyers that should have been delivered while we were gone to start searching for Haran Dreifus. Follow leads and rumours from free ports etc. Obviously don't engage once they find him because his ships are way better than an escort squadron.

Total cost = 386W

I believe MachineSpirit has a lot of stuff for us as well.

PS. Did we end up getting any benefits for praying at Maccabeus? Nothing was mentioned.

Well there's a couple of things I've been spitballing in my head

>The Ravens Tome
• I've been thinking way back when the Emperor's people had been able to turn some of the Primarchs closest allies who were pretty old into as close as they can get to a Space Marine considering their age. I was wondering if such a thing would be possible? it's something I thought we should look at. Expand our militaristic option for our chapter and the sector if we can keep traction with the project if we decide to go public with it and not be found too heretical maybe Eisenhorn can sanction the project for us? We seem to still be on good terms.
• I also wanted Giant ass invulnerable wings like Sanguinus but Raven wings instead

>Mormark Dealings
• We still need to Check out the Ice Wraiths and maybe all the other cults before we try to implement our own philosophy
• I don't remember what the exact relationship between our Lord Govenor was but I have the vague memories that it was straine after the invasion maybe we could try to do a couple of favors for him or a more intensive charity efforts on the planet

>Chapter
• I've always felt like we have a problem generating wealth I don't know why but I was wondering is there's nutting else Varda or Mormark wise we can pump wealth into for a good return or should we seek to colonize elsewhere?
• Try to increase our engineers and TechPriest/Techmarines I doubt we'll ever get to Salamaders level of ingeniuty but. It wouldn't hurt to try or expand that area
• I still want to war train the Gnars and the creatures in pic related and maybe see if we can augment them genetically or mechanically we got the Tome I think it's worth looking into.

>3. Order 30 Jump Packs for 51W
Please roll your Reputation, d100. [Allies, 80]
>Upgrade those two kids to Librarians for 20W
As both of them prove to be resilient enough, add them to the Expected events as a separate event, they will be ready in 10 years.
>4. Recruit 3 more Chaplains for 30W
>5. Recruit 4 more Apothecaries for 20W
Approved, they will be ready in 10 years. Chaplains Kariman, Rinvar and Estion shall serve you faithfully. Please roll d100 to randomise their cult allegiances. Over 80 - they fall to the old cults, otherwise they will be preachers of the new Chapter Cult. Rolls are separate 3d100 in total.
>6. Inform Seran that he should start selecting initiates he deems suitable for techmarine training of his own volition. We need more techs.
It shall be done, milord. What kind of Techmarines would you want me to prepare?

>Specialised Operators for our war machines
Then roll d100.
>7. Buy a Teleportarium for the Aspera Dominus for 15W

This kind of research is indeed possible, but would require a lot of setting up and smart planning so that it would succeed and so that no crazies would attack you for "heresy". Please tell me more about exact details of your project and I'd give you some suggestions. Please bear that required resources and time for research would probably mean that this project would take between decades and centuries.

>Ice Wraiths
How would you want to go about doing that? Confront them and expect them to submit and reveal their secrets or would you rather try to infiltrate someone/spy on them?

>Dermont
Lord Governor was deeply hurt by the fact that Mormarkian dedication to your cause was repaid by blood and terror, with millions dying. However since then you have been working with him and mostly managed to win back your reputation as defenders of the planet. If you'd want to help them out more, you could...
> Offer some of your men as a personal favour
> Invest into Mormark, either into infrastructure or into population
> Try to somehow show respect and attention to the old man, an exotic gift could do it, but it won't be just flat cost in Thrones, you must be creative

>Wealth
You may try to do more prospecting or to increase pace of colonisation in Varda. Finally, you may try upgrading existing facilities.

>Gnars
You should speak with Ice Wraiths regarding Gnars, it seems they have more connection than it seems. Or you can try experimenting on them yourself. Chapter Master might be warrior, but he's also a superb scientist

>342.M41 = Mid-year. Rogue Trader Anastasia Barbaross contacts Ghosts of Retribution for permission to construct an orbital dock above Varda.
In the absence of Chapter Master, it seems that permission was granted...

>342.M41 = 10th Month. Tibor Slauter slain during a minor slave revolt upon a Slauter-owned space station above Quitania. Rogue Trader Anastasia Barbaross reportedly wounded after being caught leaving the young Slauter's compound during the revolt.

>344.M41 = 4th Month. Rouge Trader Anastasia Barbaross has a bounty of 12 million thrones placed upon her head. Her underling, Philippa Hildegarde, has a lesser bounty of 6 million thrones placed upon her head. The source of the bounty is officially unknown, but orders to kill or capture both women circulate among Battlefleet Deus.

>344.M41 = 4th Month. Ghosts of Retribution receive orders to seize all assets of Anastasia Barbaross in the Varda and Folkvangr systems in the name of Larion Ursus. Confusion results when administrators of the Barbaross Dynasty produce documents showing that Verica Barbaross in fact owns the assets as of two weeks prior. Folkvangr cites a clause of their contract with the Barbaross Dynasty and reclaims the holdings under breach of contract.
Without Chapter Master's orders, the Chapter has allowed this to remain a legal battle... With his return, Chapter Master could change that.

>345.M41 = Magos Voughtius will have completed the repairs to her tank in the Tombstone.
Rumors seem to circulate about the Master of the Forge and Magos Voughtius. Not entirely related to the tank.

>345.M41, before CM's return
Rogue Trader Anastasia Barbaross attempts to collect Magos Voughtius from Mormark, but flees when asked to surrender herself at the system's edge.

It seems Magos Voughtius is still with the chapter...

From what I can see we sort of half-heartedly attempted to take them as per the law but we've been prevented by the sister's actions. I'm content to leave it like that.

It is my hope brother that all the cults of the Chapter can learn to coexist. Though you may observe your individual customs, you are all battle brothers first and foremost. The Deathwishers form a sizeable portion of the Chapter and I fear creating a single company of Deathwishers will only encourage isolationism among us. To Magos Voughtius:

>I'm afraid Lady Barbaross has been declared a criminal, with a sizeable price upon her head. When she came to retrieve you we were forced to attempt an arrest, though we have no desire to actually do so, and drover her away. Until the heat around Lady Barbaross dies down I'm afraid you'll have to remain here.

Master of the Forge Seran soon informs Chapter Master that Magos Voughtius expects a personal audience...

Your project was a success, the problems that our Chapter had which were associated with Mucranoid gland have been corrected! Frpm now on our initiates will be receiving Mucranoid gland implant alongside others and even older marines will be slowly receiving "updates". All new initiates are now considered to have Mucranoid Glands and within 35 years ALL Ghosts of Retribution will have them. Mucranoid glands allows you to sweat a substance that coats the skin and offers resistance to extreme heat and cold and can even provide some protection for the marine in a vacuum. This can only be activated by outside treatment, and is common when Space Marines are expected to be fighting in vacuum. The treatment by Klementhos didn't have any negative impact on our geneseed! He may increase his Genetics by d5 and medicae by d3. However his methods are not Orthodox... We receive 2d10 Heresy points as some nasty rumours are spread by Klementhos' suppliers[of medical materials & tech] about us trying to upgrade ourselves. This project was relatively cheap, it cost you merely d5 x10 W, please see my roll.

As this is merely a quick session, I'll take both results. I never needed that integrity anyway.
+++
Your results are mostly inconclusive, but Xyptus was able to deduce at least one thing - Iron Monks in general had either very little or no ties to the attack on Varda. This means that you either need to go full out on them and exterminate their threat once and for all or make proper peace rather than an armistice with them and learn to coexist.

Basically just search through the Tome to find any methods that are applicable to humans and those not deemed fit to become initiates either due to age or any other restrictions if need be we can probably use only Chapter Serfs that volunteer to help out with the project

Deathwishers gather together in a huge hall and speak for many hours, discussing what does the decision made by Chapter Master mean. At first they are concerned, because this could mean that their Lord is displeased with their service and doesn't trust them. But those foolish thoughts were soon thrown away. It was soon decided that the fact that Chapter Master is introducing a new cult and doesn't want to isolate cults, means that he wants beliefs to mesh and prosper together! However at the same time the need for "purebred" Deathwishers is over and the time has come for them to die in the name of Chapter Master. They cheer and shout, servitors bring in food and then they feast. Finally, Kronos and Daugar once more approach you with smiles on their faces:
>Milord! We must apologise for not seeing your plan earlier! We are now ready for the fate that awaits us! We want to prove our service to you by fighting the ultimate battle. We want to go on a crusade! We have thrown dice and we have found a target! Heretics on the border of the Sector Deus, Styrian Triarchy, worship foul gods on the world of Neveron! Let us, me and my brothers cleanse it or die trying! Give us one ship and we'll slay a million heretics to praise Your Name!
They are serious. What is your answer?

>>38094225
So basically for ways to improve humans to sub-Astartes level?
>>
>>38094543
>They are serious. What is your answer?

>My Brothers, the Styrian's day will come, and on that day I prmoise you that you will all be the tip of the spear that shatters their empire. But for you to go alone would be a reckless use of such valuable and honourable brothers. It is an entire subsector of unknown forces, we must be patient and wait for a true Imperial Crusade to be gathered.

The white-robed form of Magos Voughtius is brought before Chapter Master, escorted by the Master of the Forge, Seran. Two utility mechadendrites hover about the Magos' person, new additions since Chapter Master last encountered the servant of the Omnissiah.

Four servoskulls float behind the unremarkable Magos as she bows.

"Lord Astartes. May the blessings of the Omnissiah be upon you and yours. I trust your mission was a success?"

Deathwishers are confused, their enthusiasm and optimism is gone. They are denied rights of worship that Ice Wraiths have, but they don't have the chance to die for the Emperor and Chapter Master either. There is a slight morale loss to [4/6] Good and for now they retreat into their chambers to brood and think about what to do...

>>38094819
Ok, we'll get into details tomorrow. Discuss with others in chat whether everyone is ok. It may involve loss of life[test subjects], money and heresy. Because of Elias' awesome art which I used to decorate this thread I will make this available despite the fact that you need higher level librarium. Also, you'll get a special secret bonus.

Let us end our session here, thank you for playing, I think we did quite a few things today. You may finish roleplaying with Machine Spirit - Voughtius and we'll RP tomorrow night.

"I am well aware of the accusations against my Lady Barbaross, Lord Astartes. I was able to receive a communication during her attempt to reclaim her property upon Mormark." Turning her robed head toward Seran, she nods. "As Lord Seran appears to have been unable to crack the Barbaross ciphers, I wish to volunteer information."

"If you allow me a task while I await my Lady's return."

Nerial, your astropath, approaches you. Milord, there's a message to you:
>Dear friend, I am coming once more to the Sector Deus. I hope your Chapter is well and that the menace we once faced doesn't bother your people anymore. I hope you'll be able to help me out, I am tracking a certain old enemy of ours and I might need your help. Please let me know whether you could spare a few of your men.

Regards,

Leutenant Sternberg,

"My Lady Barbaross has reason to believe that the Heretic of Ionium, Jeshua Hanozri, is in fact alive. What proof she holds was not included, but Lady Barbaross is not one to make idle accusations."
>>
>>38095085
"That's...interesting information Magos. We'll be sure to keep our ears to the ground about anything else that might surface. Thank you."
>>
>>38094819
Yeah I'm hoping considering How much information is in the tome and the fact that our pappy Corvus used it there might be either more effective solutions or revolutionary ones

>>38094902
Thanks for the thread Skarg.
Same time tommorow? Also do you have a twitter?
>>
>>38095161

The Magos cocks her head to the side at your words.

"And what task would you set me to, Lord Astartes?"
>>
>>38095176
"What do you want to do? You're welcome to assist my techmarines around the forge if you so wish."
>>
>>38095275
She could assist with training some of our potential Techmarines/Initiates before we send them formerly to Nestorium as well
>>
>>38095275

Magos Voughtius' arms cross at your response, and you catch Brother Seran's optics momentarily focus upon the ample bust the gesture makes visible. Is this a sign of something you should keep in consideration?

"If you wish to leave me to my own devices, I shall require my own space and a modest stipend. I am certain that my efforts will provide something of use for your chapter." The Magos' mechadendrites seem to monitor Brother Seran, then the Magos as she quickly moves her arms to hide the focus of his attention.

"I-If not, Lord Astartes, I am versed in the study of Archeotech, the repair and maintenance of voidships, and the reclamation of machine spirits others would condemn as scrap."
>>
>>38095671
"Archeotech you say? I received a soulword from a force we dispatched to Sector Corgus that some archeotech they discovered is on it's way here, due to arrive in a few months. I'm sure your expertise in the subject would be of great use."
>>
>>38095760
"Theoretical archeotech is difficult to study, Lord Astartes, and I find sitting idle disagrees with my mind."
>>
>>38095886
"Okay well you're free to use the forge. What do you think you could you make for around 5 million thrones?"
>>
>>38095933

"One could make countless different items with such a sum, Lord Astartes. Do you have a particular type of project in mind or wish to indulge my logic?"
>>
>>38095994
"You may build whatever you desire, something unique to remember you by."
Lower voice.
"You've obviously noticed my brother's...interest in you. Is there anything you have to say? Please be honest."
>>
>>38096083

"Lord Seran's interest has not compromised the placement of his loyalty, Lord Astartes. Though it is unorthodox, it is not strictly forbidden by the Cult Mechanicus."

Gesturing to two of the servo skulls with her mechadendrites, the two objects hover toward you.

"As for a token of reminder, please accept these servo skulls. I am to understand that their skulls were sourced from those faithful soldiers that perished in the recent invasion of this world. Lord Seran or myself can install whatever pistol weapon you desire in the one skull, while the other should provide you with accurate auspex readings even in combat."

>Chapter Master gains Gunskull & Servoskull with Asupex
>>
>>38096407
"Well that's good to hear Magos, and thank you very much for the servo skulls, I'm sure they'll come in very useful. Otherwise if there's nothing else you'd like to discuss, I'll arrange a transfer of 5 million thrones for materials and you can get started on whatever it is you want to build."
>>
>>38096524
The Magos fumbles the sign of the aquila before bowing.

"Then I take my leave, Lord Astartes."

>Astropathic message from Folkvangr!

"Chapter Master,

Thank you for watching over Folkvangr while I was away. I would like to invite you to meet me upon Tachion Primaris to celebrate the bounty of my expedition!

Faith and Courage,

-Alexander Kerr"
