With the resident moth cleverly betrayed and the harpy rewarded, there's nothing between you and a hearty breakfast!

You scuttle your way to the pile of food set aside for morning- There's no longer any guarantee that there'll be leftovers for the day after.
Or rather, your own presence- and that of your friends- is a guarantee that there most certainly won't be anything left to eat once you've had your fill.

You drop down and dig in. With your family out and about you just need to concern yourself with your friends, who haven't nearly your appetite. It's only a few minutes before you have a wide slab of stone grilling meat, an incredibly pleased looking harpy at your side.

Even Sheszka crawls up, drawn by the scent of meat, dragging herself up till she can sit against you, resting her head on your side.

_________________________________________________________

Breakfast is... comparatively tidy.
Jin is trying to keep her new things clean, and Sheszka is too asleep to make a mess.

It's a nice change from the usual.

Upstairs, it sounds like the shouting has died down.
Which would mean Nin has consigned herself to her fate, or, far more likely, she's planning revenge already.
Either way, it's out of your hands.

Giving Jin Her gift was nice, you think to yourself, stashing the now bloated and snoring Sheszka atop your shell.
In a bout of absolute opposites, Jin is up and moving today.
Anyway, giving Jin her necklace was great.
It was special.

But you haven't the foggiest idea of how to use it.
This is not the first time this situation has arisen, in regards to enchanted bits of gear. Your father, it seems, is more than a little scatterbrained.
You can almost hear your siblings laughing at you calling someone else that.

You make a face, shaking your head to clear it before you head off.
About three steps left and few to the front. Jin has happily perched on your arms, and you hold it out to one side, keeping her like a hawk. It's not an inaccurate description.

Your father, as ever, is buried in books, taking notes, cross referencing. If he didn't like finding things himself quite so much, he'd belong in a library somewhere.
As is, though, you feel fairly grateful for your existence, so you greet him as you advance, shifting to let the light through to his books.

It's the little things people appreciate.

"Lyra. Up late again?"
"I live an active life, yes."
"It'll be a great deal more so if your mother catches you."
"So sleeping is an advantage, then."

He snorts, shaking his head.
"And what can I help you with, Miss Lazybones?"
"Do I even have bones?"
>>
>>37954470
He looks thoughtful, pausing midway as he raises a hand.
"I- I'm not sure. Hmm. There's the chitin, but- And Nia said the necromancer tried to-"
He flips open a book, thumbing through its pages.
"No, nothing here. And your mother would never forgive me if I tried to find out."
"I am fairly certain I would 'not forgive you' first, yes."

He laughs.
"Anyway- I wanted to know how to use the necklace, yes? It is not much good if Jin cannot carry things with it."
"It is still shiny."
I am corrected. The shininess remains. But the magic?"

"Ah. If you hold it, and think of what you want, it'll come out."
You wait a moment.
"And to put things in?"
"Touch the necklace to the object and think 'store'."
"Does she need to think it in plainspeech?"

"I don't think it matters. Enchantments seem to work off of intent rather than actual words."
You nod.
"Get that, Jinni?"
"Think about it!"
"Close enough."

I had a session Friday in which a plan was discussed that Nye said no thats fucking crazy, one of the moths who first came up with the lets breed squirrels plan, who decided to seduce a fucking spider with fluffiness.

So when dealing with Fenrir there plenty of ways I had set up for them and I was more hen willing to go along with anyplan so long as it made some sense, but I, for some reason continue to underestimate these fucking moths.

I expected them to maybe get the spiders to weave them a giant magic bow, or to get the dwarves to dig them a giant pit to house the wolf, generally things from mythology or for them to hulk out and go mono a mono.

Instead they look at the wolf decided he'll be ok on his own for awhile and start traveling north to find a viking Esq continent. So I give them one figuring they are going to ask vikings for help fighting a nordic myth sounds mart.

Once they arrive instead of finding help they search for a man who fit the follow criteria.

Younger son of a well respect leader and warrior.
Must be generally inferior to his brother.
Nordic.
Wrathful.
>>
>>37954622
So they find a man with this description and then they enact their plan. First as a "precaution" they gouge out his father's eye, then they kidnap him and take him back south to where Fenrir is hanging around. They build a new safehouse some ways south of where the wolf is and lock the man inside after force feeding him 2 barrels of the goddamn evolution powder.

See they had figured it turned they angry wolf into fernir it might turn this Nordic man into Víðarr, so they found the man who best fit the description and hoped for the best.

These fucking Moths.

But fuckit I'll roll with it, the next day Víðarr comes bursting out the safehouse as an angry Nordic god of vengeance and because of fate or destiny or maybe some goddamn wendiagos he goes right after Fenrir. The Moths flutter around and help out in the fight, distracting the wolf and buffing the god and eventually Fenrir is killed and everyone cheers! Victory!

Except now there is an angry Nordic god of vengeance fucking about the mortal Plane killing anyone who slighted him before or does so now. So they are back to square one.

A quote from Din's Player. "Well it worked better than most of my plans at least."

You thank your Dad, and Jin follows suit- bowing her head so far she nearly tumbles off your arm.
He smiles, waving you off as he struggles to decide between a pair of books: Whatever magical nonsense he'd been studying when you walked up, and a large anatomical examination of monsters.

Apparently not knowing whether or not you had bones bothered him.
Squeezing your shoulder is simple enough. There's definitely bones there.
You're satisfied, and you leave him to his notes.

It's been a bit since you carted off Nin to your sister's sweatshop.

No, it's not quite as warm anymore. Not really a sweatshop.

In any case, you abandoned your friends to your sister's tender mercies, and now it is time to reap the rewards.
Laughs, specifically.

You tuck a monster under each arm- Ezzy is actually kind of convenient, in an 'you don't have to carry her everywhere' sort of way. She's a good size. Not that you say that to her face.
Even if it's adorable when she tries to choke you.
Like a full body hug.

You creep to the edge of the arena, peering over, your mouth already grinning so wide that your fangs show.

The contents of the second floor of your home are not really what you hoped for.

There's is no distraught moth working herself to exhaustion. No embarassed elves.
Lann has been momentarily forgotten, while Nin has put her head together with Elle.
And in front of them both...

It's a gown. There's no other word. Dress is simply too weak for clothing this fancy. Layers upon layers of lace. The front opening all the way to-
No. This is not okay. Is that a corset? A corset?
Why is it on the outside? And the bottom is opening war wider than a elf would-
>>
>>37955463
Your blood freezes. You start to slink back down, when-
"Lyrrrrrra. I see you!"
Lann, you traitor!

With her chin cupped in one hand, the half-elf waves lazily at you, an evil grin across her face.
How could you do this, Lann? What drove you to such lengths?

Oh. The whole 'Elle' thing. Right.
The moth and your sister are on you in seconds, Nin wearing a look like a fox in a henhouse- And your sister wearing her custom-made manic sewing look.

We should have held our head high and put on a stern face as we accepted our fate with dignity and grim determination.

But there's a CORSET!
>>
You've got a half second to spare- You haul your friends around, giving them a push up into the arena as you push of the bark, already trailing silk. The line catches you half way done, arresting your outwards movement, pulling you around in a semicircle and dropping you thunderously into the nest below.

Your father looks up from his books alarmed, trying to speak, but there's no time.
You can't be caught.
You can't wear That! There was barely any- and a corset, you're not going to wear a corset! Everyone could see everything and all the lace and-

Your thoughts are a jumble as you pitch yourself over the edge of the nest, a web line secured firmly behind you.
You can head into the swamps. Or up the river. There's a lot of hunting grounds Elle probably won't follow you into. Or you could just keep running. Evolved or not, she's a house-spider top the core and-

You feel the thump as a line of web connects with your shell, interrupting your freefall and twisting you midair, leaving you dangling upside-down, trying to reorient your legs.
All you have to do is cut that line and-
Your nose itches.

You look up, to Elle crawling down the trunk, and past her- To Nin crouched on a branch, her wings fluttering, releasing waves of-
That brat!
You slap your hands over your mouth, your nose, but already everything is feeling soft. Slow.
You blink your eyes, trying to focus. You feel tired, heavy.

The line. You need to cut the line- Your legs move in weird patterns, trying to curl around the silk tether, trying to bring their edge to bear against them. One manages to curl up against it, and you smile dopily, dragging it across the surface, sawing away.

_________________________________________________________

You come to, blearily blinking your eyes, one after another. There's arguing going on somewhere. Nearby?
Right behind you. People are arguing behind you.
And someone is doing their level best to crush your ribs?

No, no- something is pulled tight, but not enough to hurt. It probably couldn't be pulled tight!
You feel an inordinate surge of pride at that, as you begin reclaiming control of your body. You start with rolling your neck, lifting your head from its slumped position, heavy as it seems.

It's hard. Really hard. You roll your head down, chin to your chest, trying to focus on just pulling back-
There's a lot of skin there. Weren't you wearing your shirt? You're sure you were wearing your shirt. Elle and Nin wanted you to wear-

You jolt awake, muscles seizing all at once, launching you momentarily into the air. Only a few inches, but it's enough as you rash back down, head whipping around.

"Milady! Such excitement! Does our offering please you?"
Rat moth. Traitor! Fluffy betrayer!
Your tongue has abandoned you- it feels thick, hard to speak.

They put stockings on all of your legs. All of them! Why?
>>
>>37956805

Fingerless gloves neatly conceal most of your chitin, ending with an explosion of lace- The chest of the dress, the gown, is a barely there series of cloth triangles- just enough to keep your modesty in check while more lace decorates the edges.
And the corset! The bloody corset sits over it all, tied taught behind you, forcing out- forcing your- Your chest is not that big! This is ridiculous!

And the dress, the skirt! Whatever you want to call it! A few slips of cloth, puffing outwards, lace covered, lace edged, revealing more than it-
"Thiiis- iiisn't a dress! Issss lingerie!"
Nin cackles as Elle tilts her head to one side.

"Lingeery?"
"Lingerie! Underwear!"
She lifts the front, revealing everything for the second time today.
"I thought this was the-"
Nin is howling with laughter as Sheszka- Just as sleepy looking as you, at the moment- and a confused Jin look on.

"It looks very nice, yes?"
"Aggggh!"

To get out of the corset: we have finger knives and we enjoy breathing. One can be used to aid the other.

Muster up every ounce of dignity we have OWN THIS SHIT.

This is fine for underclothes, but it needs a proper dress to be worn over it.

This Here.

Only now it occurs to me that Lyra could have been severely hurt if she had managed to cut the web string, being drugged she wouldn't have had the mental faculties to correct herself, so it would have been her spider half landing on her human/elf half.

She had her own line- she would have swung into the tree, and likely been so out of it that she just hung there till someone grabbed her.

>>37957115
If we did ANY of these elle interactions in town, you know for sure we'd get some crushes on us.

>>37957124
Can we save the thing anyway, afterwards?

Keep it in a hidden bag.
>>
>>37956941
We can do this, we've got the balls to pull this off.
>>
>>37957124

It would have still hurt really, really bad, like how you feel if you fell from the top of a three-tiered bunkbed and landed on your back just after your skull makes contact with a slightly cushioned area of the frame.

Spiderbutt weighs a lot y'know!
>>
So.
We have an expanding collection of fancy spider lingerie.

When will we take up our true calling of spider stripper?
>>
>>37957279
Probably in combat against a highly corrosive acid using species that melts the armour straight off us.
>>
>>37957374
This is a greater risk to us because we are usually wearing something lacy and embarrassing as underwear.

"I- Iiiii will burn it, yes!"
"You will burn what?"
"The gown! Dress! Let me out!"

Elle looks confused a moment, glancing to Nin and back at you.
"You are not in a web, yes? You can take it off."

Your face flushes as you look down, limbs moving slowly to your orders.
"I- I do not know how. And my arms- I can't move anything very well."

Nin throws up a hand, like child in a classroom.
"The dust!"
"I am very aware of Why I cannot move right, yes."
You direct your glare at the grinning insect.

"As milady's herald, I volunteer!"
Sheszka rubs her eyes, Jin holds up her stubby claw fingers and Lann shrugs as Elle moves to measure her again.
You sigh, and nod.

Nin is up behind you in a flash, nimble fingers already tugging at the corset's lacing.
She murmurs as she works, just loud enough for your ears. And Ezzy's.

"I am thinking something in black and grey, next time. You could light your veins to show through the material, and the whole dress would glow and-"
"No more corsets!"
"So the dresses are fine, then?"

"It is not- I am not- I do not have a problem with dresses, yes?"
She gives a tug on the strings behind you, leaning up to your ear to whisper.
"Then what is wrong with this, my queen?"
"This has nothing to queens or anything, yes? This is embarrassing!"
>>
>>37958259

"But why?"
She sounds... actually confused?
"You are beautiful, you know?"
"Wha-"
"You should see yourself in the clothes she makes. You are- you look- it... it is something to see."

You blush, falling silent as she releases you from the corset, string by string.
You sigh in relief as it comes loose- though you have to grab at the dress itself before it falls free from your chest.
There's been enough of that already today.

Nin sets the corset aside, cautiously laying it next to you, moving back around to your front and taking up one of your legs. She carefully shimmies the stocking down the length of your armoured limb, rolling it back out as it comes free and adding it to the pile she started with the first piece.

You watch her, arms folded, working to free you from the dress, and you speak as low as you dare.
"I will keep the dress, yes. Just- not to wear in a town. Or places with people."

She looks up, eyes shining, a light smile matched with a blush of her own.
"Then I will look forward to seeing it, Lyra."

You look away.
It's a lot harder to deal with her when she uses your name.

I can't wait until they have fuzzy spiderlings together. Or chitiny mothlings.
>>
>>37958275
We're going to have to keep an eye on this one, next time she might try a different kind of powder on us, what with the way she's looking at us.
>>
>>37958275
Damnit nin.
Stop flattering us.
I don't want moth crushes.
>>
>>37958376
I'm looking forward to it.

QM, did Nin get some levels for defeating a giant spider?
>>
>>37958315
Damnit, I -had- a question, but I can't remember what the fuck it was. Something about webs.
>>
>>37958367
So, she's going to set us up with like, her brother or something?
>>
>>37958463
She did indeed!
It was also Elle's most active hunt of her entire life.

>>37958479
They come out of your butt.
>>
>>37958275
Nin best waifu.
>>
if Nin or Lann give us to much crap about this we should ask Ellie to make them a corset as well.
>>
>>37958677
Very good.

One of these days, we're going to actually go to a town/city with all of us in fancy dresses and corsets and makeup and shit.

>>37958544
Oh!
Did we ever get elle a makeup kit?
It seems like a no brainer.
>>
>>37958544
>It was also Elle's most active hunt of her entire life.

Great, we have now taught Elle the best way to find suitable models to hunt them down.

Next thing Mom is gonna find out is that Elle has been kidnapping nearby monsters and making them dresses before sending them back.
>>
>>37958770
Years later, we return to the woods and discover entire packs of wolves in matching dresses.
>>
>>37958694
I think the makeup came up last thread, but you haven't been to town since.
And Lyra might be a bit more cautious about giving Elle ideas, now.
>>
>>37958837
I still want to give her makeup.
Just because she is a terror doesn't mean she doesn't need equipment.
>>
>>37958575
I really hope she does some mental growing up soon.
>>
>>37958900
In what way?
She acts kind of childish, but she does seem the most mature after Lyra.
>>
>>37958940
I think I'm just getting tired of "queen this, queen that".

I guess I simply don't like her as a character. The others are mostly in the background when they're not adorable but Nin's one-track commentary is starting to grate on me. Which is, of course, my problem. Probably should just sit out the quest for a bit.
>>

>lyra's crew gains access to lipstick
Shit dog, things are getting real.
>>
>>37959305
Does lipstick exist here? If not, we should make it. With our knowledge of modern cosmetic practices and Elle's advanced designs, we can take the world of fashion by storm.
>>
>>37959495
It's not exactly a new concept. Tubed lipstick, maybe, but it's been around since, oh, Ancient Egypt I'd say.
>>
>>37958275

Oh fuck, she's not just teasing us about the queen thing.

She's a lifestyler submissive.
>>
>>37960221
given the glee she shows when she's parading lyra around or 'winning' I'd assume switch or dominant. power bottom at least.
>>
>>37960294

Power bottom's still a bottom, doms usually don't give their subs authoritative titles.

I could certainly see a silly/serious switch though - teasing without meaning anything but anytime she means it she very much lets Lyra take control (like when she saw the mural in the ruins - she was still insistent, but quite readily gave herself over to Lyra comforting her).
>>
>>37960432
It feels like the queen bit is a kids way of teasing the person they like. As in, shes gonna grow out of using it to bug Lyra, but wont grow out of trying to make her into one.

Maybe she just pushes far enough that Lyra pushes back?
>>
>>37960668
I dunno.
All I know is we have to get our friends some hobbies/boyfriends/missions/WoW accounts or some shit.
>>
>>37960668

Yeah, I didn't mean the queen bit was just a dom/sub thing - she most definitely wants the queendom and city back.

But she'd definitely be more forceful about the title if she's a dom, and were she one I doubt she'd have been willing to 'act good' for candy.

She definitely only pushes it as far as Lyra's willing to take it, but she does it in a teasing sub rather than a dom manner - she's never acted like she has actual power over us (ex her concern when we were overexerting ourselves was "Please don't hurt yourself" not "I don't want you hurt").
>>
>>37960824
I think boyfriends would be an issue, considering that Lyra would likely be the benchmark. And Lyra even hinting at having a love interest would likely end up with things literally exploding.
>>
>>37961066
Pff, we can bypass a lot of that by finding people who hit their weaknesses.

Like, for example, some nerd for sara.
>>
>>37961154
I don't think family would be an issue, namely Jin, Nin, and Shezka.
>>
>>37961183
Yeah, that was just an example.
And it's gonna be a lot harder to find nin that perfect royal.

Jin and shezka, though, I dunno. It's gonna be harder to find them something to do. They've got limited interest sets.
>>
>>37961222
We should reveal what we know about astronomy to Jin, maybe let her know we somewhat remember our past life. Imagine how excited she would be to hear about the wonders of space.

Somewhat at a loss for Shezka though.
>>
>>37961299
Astronomy is a good answer.
But yeah, shezka is from the woods. It's gonna take a while for her to develop interests beyond subsistence-tier.
>>
>>37961346
Too bad we can illusion up a copy of the Planet Earth documentary for Shezka. She might get a kick out of that.

And now I have strange image in my mind of Jin getting one of those sleepless highs while marathoning Cosmos.

>>37961617
Not saying we should or shouldn't, just that >>37961154 would be difficult.

I also think that our perfected choice of gender won't matter much. There's always the choice to use magic and/or ovipositor for having kids if we go for the fairer sex.

>ovipositor

Imagining Lyra discovering she has an ovipositor is fucking hilarious.
>>
>>37962232
It makes me unhappy.
In multiple ways, because that's not how ovipositors work.
>>
>>37962247

No where not getting Nin pregnant, still funny to think of Lyra discovering her new organs
>>
>>37962247
Car-sized arthropods, child-sized bird people, and building-sized land mammals isn't how biology works either, but that hasn't stopped us so far.
>>
>>37962247
I know they don't work that way, but fantasy hardly cares about how it gets its desidered results, hence "and/or magic". Once again, not for or against, just stating that we can have whatever cake we want and eat it.
