"You're right," you tell your past self.

And, you mean it. While some parts of you continue to justify your actions, you know deep down that you did something terrible, and that you don't want to do so again. Yes, your intentions were good, but good intentions only count for so much.

"What?" he asks.

"You're right," you repeat. "I made a mistake, and let fear make me do terrible things. Never again. I can be better than the desperate person I've become."

The younger you smiles, and, as you watch Goku and Vegeta rise, looking to be in perfect health. Goku smiles and waves at you as Vegeta flies off in a huff. Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin reappear, the latter two rushing to you and grinning ear to ear, while Piccolo stands back and gives you a nod.

The younger you has vanished, all that's left is the Kaguya you are now, and all there will be in the future is the person you choose to be. What you said to the past you was true, you can become different from the desperate person you've become, you can go back to the old ways of pushing yourself beyond your limits and helping your friends to do the same, so you can stand against the darkness side by side. Of course, you know doing so carries risk. And it's a risk you have to decide if you're willing to take. But you've done it before, and with friends at your side, you've overcome impossible odds and done amazing things.

If you want to, you can do it again.

You wake in your bed, finding that only about an hour has passed.

The two of them share a look, then your mother steps forward, placing a hand on your shoulder and looking down, the concern in her expression growing far more pronounced.

You feel guilt swelling up in your chest once again as you gaze up at your mother.

"Am I a bad person?" you ask softly.

Your mother kneels in front of you and gives you a tight hug. "No, Kaguya, you're not a bad person, you just made a mistake. You didn't mean to hurt Gohan, you were trying to help him, and it just didn't work out like you'd hoped."

She pulls back and looks you in the eye. "That doesn't make you a bad person, it just makes you human. All of us make mistakes."

Your father nods. "She's right. Kaguya, you're a wonderful person, don't beat yourself up over one mistake. Learn from it and try to make up for it, but don't let yourself dwell on it forever."

You soar high above the clouds, deciding to go and begin your training under Mr. Satan. However, after a few seconds, you realize that you aren't entirely sure where to find him.

Mr. Satan was recently in West City, and the people there seemed to know who he was. After all, they were having a parade in his honor. So, someone there has to know where Satan Castle is located.

And, come to think of it, some of the smartest people on the planet live in West City, and one of them happens to be a friend of yours. Maybe it's time you paid her a visit.

So, you fly to West City, heading directly for the Capsule Corporation building, home of your friend Bulma. However, as you get closer, you sense that Yamcha isn't there. However, Vegeta is. You do remember hearing that, upon his return to Earth, Vegeta was offered a place to stay by Bulma, though you're a bit surprised he's stuck around.

Landing outside and making your way into the large building, you head straight for the lab, finding several scientists hard at work, while Bulma's father sits in front of an angry looking Vegeta.

"Well, when will it be done?!" Vegeta snaps.

"If I had to guess, I'd say within a month," the Doctor replies calmly.

"Unacceptable, time is limited here, and I need every ounce of it that I can get!" Vegeta replies.

"I'm sorry, but what you're asking will take some time," the Doctor replies calmly. "Most of our scientists are busy with other projects, so it's really only myself working on it with some help from Bulma when she can spare the time."

"Well tell the woman to make more time!" Vegeta demands, tensing and turning towards you. "And the brat's here. What do you want?"

"I don't know," Vegeta replies in irritation. "Don't waste my time, if you want to talk to her, go find her yourself!"

"She's in her room," the Doctor tells you. "I'm sure she won't mind you paying a visit."

You nods, looking back to Vegeta. "I need to talk to you."

He glares back at you, crossing his arms. "This had better be really damn good, brat."

"I'm sorry for your dad, and what Frieza made you do," you tell him.

Vegeta's eyes widen in shock, and he scowls, clenching his hands into fists.

"And I'm sorry for not giving you the respect a fellow warrior deserves," you add.

Vegeta lowers his head, letting out a growl of rage as he raises it back up, glaring hatefully at you.

"I don't want your damned pity, brat!" he snaps, the shear rage in his voice almost causing you to flinch. "And I don't care about your respect! I don't know what you heard about my father, or anything else that bald-headed buffoon Nappa told you, but you know nothing about me if you think I want a damned apology or sympathy from you!"

"Look, I know you have your reasons for doing things the way you do," you tell him. "You were right about the Ginyus as well. I wanted to say that, and I'll still kick your butt once our rematch rolls around, but we can at least try not to be jerks to each other. Thanks for helping with King Cold, by the way."

He gives you a look of absolute disgust. "Save your thanks, I couldn't care less if he had killed you, I saved your life in the interest of self-preservation, nothing more! And do you really think I'm interested in being civil with you? In case I haven't made it perfectly clear, I despise you, and when I become a Super Saiyan, I'm going to settle things with you once and for all!"

You decide that it's probably best not to tell Vegeta about Gohan and Goku becoming Super Saiyans, so you don't mention it as you decide to go find Bulma.

"I'm not sure," he answers. "Bulma would probably know."

He tells you where to find Bulma's room, and you leave the lab, feeling Vegeta glare daggers at your back as you make your exit.

It doesn't take you long to reach Bulma's room, and after you knock on the door, a pajama-clad Bulma opens it, looking down at you in mild surprise.

"Hey, Kaguya," she greets. "Is there something you needed?"

She steps into her room, and you follow. It's rather messy, with books and papers, not to mention articles of clothing, scattered everywhere. Bulma hops onto her bed, retrieving a laptop and quickly typing on the keyboard.

"Satan Castle...ah, here we go!" she says. "It's located in the Diablo Desert. A fighting Dojo under the ownership of someone named Mr. Satan. Think he might be worth training?"

Nappa, however, is basically our character's equivalent to Picciolo. We got wished back to life, and Vegeta insulted him. We made a deal with Nappa that we'd train him if he didn't cause any trouble. Over the years, he's lost the bloodlust in his heart, is one of our closest friends, has taken up farming, and was the first of the gang become a super saiyan.

She hands you a sheet of paper with directions to Satan Castle written down on it.

"Here you go, this should tell you how to get where you need to go," she says.

Bidding Bulma farewell, you depart from Capsule Corporation, flying high above West City and making your way to the Diablo Desert, following the directions Bulma has provided.

You decide to push yourself a bit as you make your way to the castle, pushing your speed to its absolute limit and forcing yourself to go even faster. It takes less than a minute for you to reach your destination at that speed, but the effort does leave you sweaty and short of breath.

Satan Castle is colossal, and, you see that it's name isn't just a dramatic title. What you're looking at is indeed a castle, several stories tall, and complete with towers and battlements. Really, it looks more like it was built to withstand a siege than to train martial artists.

You make your way down to the entrance, a drawbridge spanning a moat. As you cross the bridge and look over the side, you see that the moat is full of fish of various sizes, and you see some martial artists nearby attempting to catch the fish with their bare hands.

When you reach the other side of the drawbridge, you find the entrance to the castle itself blocked by two large men, who stare down at you intently.

"Well, what have we here?" the one to your right asks. "We don't get a whole lot of kids here."

"Some just really want Hercule's autograph," the one on your left jokes.

"So, kid, what brings you all the way out here?" the one on your right asks.

You and the remaining guard stand in silence as you wait for his partner to return. You let your eyes wander, watching some of the martial artists attempt to catch fish, one of them cheering when he actually succeeds. You can hear the sounds of people training and sparring inside, and, sensing the energy of those in the area, you can tell that the martial artists here are stronger than the average human. They're nothing compared to you or your friends, but by normal standards, they're pretty impressive.

Before long, the other guard returns, accompanied by Mr. Satan, who approaches with a grin.

"Well, you finally made it, eh kid?" he says, patting you on the shoulder and grinning. "It's about time."

Taking in your appearance, his grin widens. "And it looks like you made the trip out here all by yourself! Fantastic! That's the kind of dedication I look for in a pupil. You're gonna do great things, kid, I can tell!"

He leads you into the castle, leaving the two guards at their post as the two of you walk down a long hallway.

"Now, I know you're already a strong fighter, after all, no ordinary kid could stand up to monsters like the Saiyans," he says. "But, there's always room for improvement, and that's where Satan Castle comes in! It can make the weakest fighter mighty, and the strongest fighter into something even greater!"

You follow, and find yourself in a large central area. There's no ceiling, so those in this space are exposed to the elements, which, this being the desert, are probably a good amount of heat in the day, cold at night, and sand at various times.

Looking around, you see several elevated platforms, fairly large in size, spread throughout the area. Each platform has two fighters on top of it, sparring with one another.

"We modeled this area after the preliminaries of the World Martial Arts Tournament," Mr. Satan explains. "These stages are about the same size as the ones in the preliminaries, and students sparring on them go by the same rules. If you're knocked off and touch the ground, or are unable to get up for ten seconds, you lose."

He turns to you. "If you like, I can set up with a match right now."

"Who are the strongest fighters here?" you ask.

"Caroni and Pirozhki are my two most gifted students," he answers. "And I admire your confidence, but I don't think you're ready to fight them just yet. Don't worry, though, I won't put you up against any of the scrubs."

This is entirely unrelated, but what do you guys think the odds are of us getting our hands on the Dragon Balls and wishing Nappa his tail back? Having a Saiyan who can remain sentient in Ape Form, and is more level-headed than Vegeta would be a godsend.

He lets out a shocked cry as he flies through the air, crashing to the ground not far from the ring.

The gathered students murmur in excitement, clearly not expecting what they just saw. Some laugh as your opponent picks himself up, while others give you nervous looks.

Hercule laughs. "Now that's what I'm talking about! You see this, folks? This is a real fighter! You could learn a thing or two from him."

"How about you fight me yourself, Mr. Satan?" you ask. "One hero against another."

He chuckles. "You've got guts, kid. And you've got the skill to back those guts up, but you're just not ready to face a fighter of my caliber. Not yet, anyhow. With some training, you might become as strong as me one day. So, anyone else wanna step into the ring with Kaguya?"

The crowd around the ring grows larger as a colossal man stomps towards you, raising his hands and smirking down at you.

"Alright, pipsqueak," he says. "Are you ready to be crushed?"
