Her body injured by deep cuts, clothes ripped, and her yellow, long hair crusted with dry blood, she remain where she was for about 2 taks.

She tried to keep her eyes open, but the weight of her eyelids began to become much heavier.

Just right before she was about to close her eyes, however, a tall, figure came towards her.

"P-Papa..." was the last thing she muttered before her mind went into oblivion.

Currently, Max was walking with Zimbil of Blue and Byo of Steel.

The other monsters in his party was doing other jobs.

Pylo of White was scouting ahead in the town.

Winlix of Soar is so far up in the sky that it will be very difficult trying to spot it.

And, the Golem of Acid is far away from behind.

Pylo's illusion magic wasn't able to change the gigantic acid-spewer into a convincing disguise, so it had to stay back. The Golem actually looked sad when he realized this.

However, to Max, Zimbil, and Byo, who already have the shape of a regular human (except, Byo was only 3 feet tall), the illusion sufficed.

Max remembers the changeling's word after he casted the magic.

'Using magic abilties is much more difficult than natural's abilities, I could only use a race's magic capabilities by one-out-of-hundreth of the orignal capacity.

Also, currently, I have made a duplicate back in Asleit, so my abilties are already halved.

While, Myus are very powerful in magic, only by using 1/200 of Myu's magic, only your apperance was changed. If one might touch you, it is possible they will figure your true identity.'

Max was curious why the Poly left a duplicate behind, but it explained that it so it could do it's job in Asleit, while still accopanying the Overlord.

'Oh well, atleast he's loyal.'

These are now the new appearances of the monsters.

Max, who looked almost like his regular self, brown-hair and eyes, 5'5 in height, and was wearing a robe, which Poly made it so that the Lich's robe wouldn't look so evil and grand.

Zibil is a pretty tall man with a very skinny frame and blonde hair.

Byo's height had to be increased so it look more natural. But, it was still pretty short and now he looks more like a grouchy, small old man.

And now, there's a new addition in the party!

Zimbil found a small, young girl laying unconsiously on the ground.

She didn't look any older than 8, but had blood stains all over her clothes and body.

While the fresh blood implied that the injuries were recent, all of her cuts seemed to be already healed.

One thing about Liches, that Max learned, is that their bodies are incredibly weak.
That's usually how Max was able to destroy both Liches with one strike.
As of now, Max didn't even have enough power to hold the unconscious girl.

Max, again, found another mystery to ask himself later.

The Byo, who was even shorter than the girl, was also not able to hold the girl.

So the only candidate left with Zimbil, the zombie who enjoys eating.

Quietly, Max told himself," I'm sure it won't eat her while it's Overlord is near it."

He tried his best to ignore the Zimbil's drooling as it stared on the possible food.

Finally, the trio came close to the town.
Max could even see some guards, who also noticed them, patrolling around.

Poly soon rejoined them.

It stood in front of Max to give it's report. "Overlord, there are over 827 residents in this village. 96 of them are guards. And there are about 200 more who could either wield magic or have weapons. The monsters in this area are also very low-leveled."

Max nodded then asked, "Monsters? I didn't see any as we came here."

Without missing a beat the Poly responded,"Yes, I have eliminated all monsters in your path."

"Oh." Max felt the shivers come back.

Max walked in the town casually as possible, hoping to not raise suspision with strange men holding an unconscious girl.

The guards, however, noticed them. After discussing for a while, they told one of the younger ones to go follow disguised monsters.

The Overlord noticed him trailing them, but it didn't look like he was coming up to talk to them, only to watch.

Ignoring the follower, Max instead was amazed by the town's interior.

The buildings seem to well-crafted by wood and stone and there were some metal-works here and there.

While the technology is not as advanced, the humans here seem to be somewhere in the Iron or even possible the Steel ages.

'So, it really is just a typical Fantasy world...'

Interrupting his thoughts, a soft voice called out to him.

"Oh my! Is that girl okay?"

Max faced the person who spoke to them and saw a little granny using a cane.

Instantly, Zimbil and Byo became tense and looked like as if they were about to pull a fight.

'What the hell is going on with them...'

Not wanting to waste any Dark Mana, Max turned to Pylo and thanked him.

Then Max thought about the problem that could be if his minions decided to fight everyone they meet.

'Wait, a second then why I do know the human language? In fact, how did I even learn the monster's language?'

Not speaking for way too long, the monsters were about ready to kill.

The guard apparently saw this and started rushing in.

'Fuck, no time for that. First, I should call them off.'

Proving that they got the message, the monsters quickly dropped their guard.

Then a large shout from the guard was heard.

The guard didn't answer and only glared.

Then the old woman jumped in "Well, why don't we show her to my house?" Then turned to the guard,"I know some healing spells on Blue Mana."

Eventually, the guard nodded, but still had a face that looked skeptical towards Max's group.
"Okay fine, Hildrith, if you don't mind me accompanying you, while you have... guests over."

Hildrith didn't seem to care on having another person over to her house and proceeded to walk to a house, with a beautiful garden.

Max began to follow Hildrith, the monsters began to follow Max, and the guards followed them.
Feeling the heavy stare from the guard, Max turned to him and said,"Please don't mind my companions, they don't speak well."

The guard just nodded.

Hildrith home's interior was very simple.

It seemed very tidy, had basic furniture, and even some shelves with books.

'So even the humans in this world have a writing system.'

The old lady moved them towards a room with only a single bed, making Max to think if the woman was the only one who lived here.

Hildrith pried off the little girl off of Zimbil's back.
Max swore that he saw a tint of sadness in the zombie's disguised human face when she did.

As the lady laid the girl in the bed, she used her hands to gently touch the girl's chest.

Max instictively knew she was casting magic, he could even feel the pressure coming off from the grandma's hand.

But unlike Dark Mana, this magic felt more... smooth.

Shortly while, Hildrith took her hand off of the girl.

"Phew. It's a shame you couldn't bring her any sooner," said in a gloomy voice,"I think she going to have some complications when she wake up..."

'Crap, maybe I shouldn't have waited so long when I was calling in for more monsters...'

"Don't any of you guys know how to use healing magic?"

Max only shook his head.

'Probably Pylo, but he couldn't be seen changing in front of the guards...'

As the old lady saw the head motion, she said,"Does that mean no? You travellers must come from a distant place... Healing mana is pretty much a requirement for all mages, and you look like you're pretty exceptional on magic. Well, no problem! I could teach you!"

The guard spoke up,"W-wait, I still nee-"

"Shut it, Fred! You can do your interrogation after you leave my house. So what will it be boys? Want to learn a trick or two from a veteran adventure, like me?"

The Overlord began to think of the offer.
However, he already has been informed that Liches can only use Dark Mana, and this woman doesn't seem to be type that knows much about that gloomy magic.

Max walked to the other side of the bed of Hildrith and repeated the same actions as her's from before by putting his hand at the girl's chest.

The guard immediately shouted,"Where do you think you're touching her!" in a flustered voice.

The Lich quickly moved his hand in her stomach instead.

"Please understand, Hildrith, I'm not very good with magic; complications you see."

"It's fine, laddy. This wise, old mage can handle it just fine."

Hildrith began her lecture on healing magic.

Max looked at her dumbfoundedly and thought to himself,'That's it? You just do a chant?'

She continued on,"Now, I know that look. Yes, it might seem easy, but many people can't seem themselves to be able to do it.
But, once you get really good , you'll soon be able to use Heal without any words, like me."

True, Hildrith didn't even say a single word. Max began to reevaluate this grandma's skill.

"Honestly, you should know that if you're a magic caster."

"Ehh, I use... different type of magic, I guess."

"Oh, well, give it a try won't ya?"

Then Max felt a sudden rush going through his hand and onto to the girl.

Not not a rush, it felt more controlled.

Like a gentle current going through a faucet.

It felt actually nice. Unlike Dark Mana, Max didn't feel that much of a consequence.

But what Max didn't expect was that the girl's body was improving by a lot. A lot.

Her skin and hair became more healthier and brighter.

Though it was going a little slow, her muscles was noticably getting even more defined.

Before, she looked like an injured, frail girl but now, it's almost as if the body belonged to a warrior.

Everyone in the room, besides unintelligent Zimbil, was shocked on what was happening.

Hildrith and Fred never seen such powerful magic.

Byo understood that healing magic should only be used by humans and the Sreleah.

Even, Poly had to transform his brain into a Ygg'slav, without anyone seeing him, to understand what was going on.

For what they were seeing was a being with the Lich's talent of having exceptional magic and the human's talent for using all types of mana.
