Quest Twitter: Horseman @Dread_Horseman

You are Sir Aldrich Brickvelt, Knight errant and humble crusader, and you have been transported, by what you do not know, to the far future and a place called 'New York'.

You have found companionship and aid in a maiden, scholar Lisa DeRetti, a saracen warrior, Badi al Zaram, and now Lisa's twin brother, Police Officer and former soldier Leonardo DeRetti.

Now Leonardo DeRetti and yourself have found the source of the strange spell that has taken hold of the Museum of Natural History and the gory scene in the sub way below...
>>
>>37823911
Lisa needs to introduce Aldrich and Badi to McDonalds, KFC and all those other staple fast food joints.

And modern booze, don't forget that.

>>37824153
I always wondered how medieval folks would stack up to old people with learning to computer.
>>
>>37824204
Depends on the age, the older you get, the less ability you have to adapt, under 21, you'll do fine, above that, you'll have some problems, above 30, it'd be difficult, 40 and older and you're screwed.
>>
>>37824221
>40 and older and you're screwed.
Eh not really, my old man went back to uni when he was 42 and got a masters to change to an entirely different career in IT when he used to be in manufacturing.

Oh yes. Themed name fags

>>37823911

Fear, revulsion, rage, all these thing take hold of you. But they do not command your flesh. No, you feared you would find something as ghastly as the tableau before you. The arab magician, on his knees arms raised before a ring of sickly yellow-green flame from which the guttural chanting emanated. The two Djinn flanking him have not noticed you yet, but something about their unnatural thinness implies some hidden supernatural strength, a predatory skill in violence.

Leonardo is still in his terrified stupor.

Huh, were in the museum of natural history, we could go for a dino bone club, we could find quite a few valuable heavy rocks and fossils, and there is probably a security room in the back, we'll either find a security guard or weapons and maybe armor if we're lucky. Huh... They also had a whale exibit last I remember, although there wasn't anything of value there.
>>
>>37824887
>Pretty sure that if you take it off and keep the other thread open in a tab with 4chanX you'll still have the name automatically in that thread without having it in this one.
Hell even the default inline extension does this, there is literally no excuse to being such a faggot.
>>
>>37824928
The way I see it we either go security room, panic button, or get ourselves a nice dino bone club/rare and endangered animal pelt. I seem to think there were a few weapons somewhere in the museum near the taxidermy display rooms but I don't think thats correct.
>>

>>
>>37824988
That'd definitely be a bonus, but a nice heavy bone would make for a decent makeshift mace. Yeah, we should probably go for the security area instead of biodiversity hall, that or take a bone off the dinosaur, I'm trying to formulate plans that don't involve us running in unarmed, Deus Vult works better with weaponry.

Theres a reason the peasants crusade failed horribly
>>

>>
>>37825045
NYC here but can't remember for the life of me, we always went in from parking lot or main entrance. Also I looked it up, there is the hall of asian peoples where there will DEFINITELY be some asian weaponry, mainly katana fag related weaponry. There is also the hall of south american peoples, for those who want to throw pottery and maybe a few spears at them. And the hall of plains indians, none of these are weapons themed but weapons WILL be there in limited supply.

You grab Leonardo by his arm and he gasps, and you the djinn on the right perk up with a sizzling noise. You guide him upstairs as quietly as possible, just as you see the thing begin to turn around. You reach the top of the stairs and crouch behind a blue cylindrical thing.

You allow a few moments to pass.

You hear nor see anything.

"W-w-w-whaaat the f-fuck was that, man? What t-he fuck was that?" Leonardo breathes, tears in his eyes, the poor man's mind obviously broken.

He has seen those demons himself. Any lie you tell him would be known as such. He must know the truth.

"I am Ser Aldrich Brickvelt. Knight and Crusader. I am from the past and beyond the ocean. Your present is my far future. I was cast here by the saracen sorcerer Zaheeri, as was Badi. That foul summoner in that fetid pit is the same. Those beings are Djinn. Arab spirits of smokeless fire. Zaheeri and his disciples have learned to bind such things to their will. I have only been in this strange land for but a few hours but my quest is to find a way back home and stop this from ever happening. This unnatural stillness is a spell put on by the saracen warlock, I believe. Now, if you are not so stricken with fear, warrior, I would like to find a proper weapon, and perhaps those who still live. Are you with me Leonardo DeRetti? Are will you have your fear of the unknown over take you?"

He shakes for a moment longer, grits his teeth and nods, "I d-don't understand what the hell is going on. But I have a job to do. Even if my parter right now is straight out the fucking renaissance f-fair."

"Now where might I find proper armament?"

"Uhm...y-you got a couple options...they're all gonna be pretty worn out and old...but...but I don't think I should give you my gun..."

"Anything is better than nothing DeRetti."

"Oh shit. No Indian is another word for Native American. American Indian and Native American are the same thing."

You remember that the first explorers to America assumed this land was India, and named the natives as such. It appears the misnomer has stuck.

"I see. Continue."

"There you have some cool bows, a couple of knives...oh! And there's this stone or ivory club. Big as shit! Looks like a killer whale or something. I always used to love that thing. In Asia they got all sorts of shit, they're the only section I think thay has armour. The exhibit upstairs might have some...But yeah, they got tons of sweet samurai swords,

"Alright, they ussually keep 'em all together."

He leads you to to an octagonal space, lined with weapons of shapes and sizes. In the center of the room is a round display. Within a strange blade in an ornate scabard, A deep crimson. The tip capped in a gold figure head, like that of a savage beast or dragon.

You look around the room, inspecting these strange armaments. There are long wooden bar maces, sythces of chains, throwing blades, bows, an assortment of glaives, And sabers similar to the one in the middle of various lengths. No shields curiously. Save for some of the bades and knives, most of these weapons seem to be two handed.

You look for a Shield of some kind, but to no avail, "No shields?"

"No, there might be a few in Africa or the Indian exhibits."

"How did these Orientals save themselves from arrows and blades?"

"Don't know, you'd have to ask Liz."

You eye a mace, similar to the one you have, except it has a more ball shaped head and more subtle flanges, "That would be suitable. Most of these blades seem dull, their handles cracked. "This...Chui...appears to be in fine condition."

"Anything else? Once we break this open the alarms will probably go off, and even if no one outside hears us....they might..."

You understand his meaning. The scarlet Saber in the center of the room catches you eye. "That one as well."

"The Muramasa blade?! Shit's worth billions dude!"

Muramasa blade...Muramasa. You enjoy the way it rolls off the tongue,"How much are our lives worth, Leonardo?"

"Not that fucking much!"

You glare at him,"What of those of your comrades? Of the men, women and children down there?"

He scowls. "Alright. Move out, I'll get the mace first."

You step aside. He unsheaths his gun and strikes the glass pane with its pommel. It shatters easily. No alarum. You're not quite sure what you where expecting, but whatever could of happened didn't. He gingerly picks it out of the shards and hands it to you. A good weight you find, with decent heft.

"Now on to this one. Sweet lord, don't let me hurt this thing..."

The glass cracks and shatters, but the blade is intact!

But as soon as the glass cracks the room explodes into noise! A skreeching, blaring horn! Blasting over and over again!

You cover your ears to block out the assault. You get poked in the chest by something, you open you eyes and there's Leonardo, handing you the crimson blade. The Muramasa.

"YOU WANNA TRY AND GET SOME ARMOUR?! A SHIELD?! OUR ELEMENT OF SURPRISE IS GONE, SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER IT."

You take the scabard, a strange grainy thing, and put it through one of the loops on your blue linen trousers.

You lift off the helm, and set it at the feet of the statue. You slide off the strange vambraces. You put on the arm guards first, then the the helm. The helm helps with the noise, and does not constrict your vision as much as your own helm. All in all, you like it. You feel prepared. Powerful even. Would you like your own weapons and armour? Yes. Will this suffice? Most definitely.

"WE MUST RETURN TO THE SUB WAY! WE MUST INTERUPT THE FOUL SPELL THAT WIZARD IS CASTING!" You shout. These bells or horns or what have you are truly beginning to grate on you.

"RIGHT! COME ON, THIS WAY!"

You run, following Leonardo to the sub way. You make it halfway to the main hall, with those mammoth bones before you ate confronted.

It rounds the corner all too smoothly, as if it where sliding on ice.

Seven feet tall, unnaturally slender, possessing a predatory grace the djinn stands before you.

It's skin looks like fire trapped in a bottle, burning and thrashing but never beyond the confines of the glass. It is generally featureless, save for its unnatural propertions and hands thay have only three fingers and a thumb. And it's eyes. Six Almond shaped slits of the purest blue, arranged in pairs of three.

The ambient hum that surrounds it heightens to an energized hiss as assumes a combative stance, legs wide bent at the knee, arms loose but ready.

CRACK. CRAC. CRACK. Three flashes of flame, louder and sharper than the alarm. You do not see any projectile but sure enough, in the creature's shoulder as if struck with an invisible arrow, appears a hole that amber fluid readily flows out of. The Djinn's eyes widen in shock and it clutches the wound. It then turns to you and Leonardo, and looses a blood curdling cry, like that of some wild cat, shrill and piercing. It's maw is the same colour blue as the eyes in its wholeness, so you cannot discern a tongue nor teeth.

You answer the demon's cry. A roiling scream of righteous.

You meet it's eyes. Blue for blue. You charge each other, thundering like beasts of war.

It makes a wild swing at you, easily dodged. You cut to its inside, it's open flank, jabbing it in it's chest with your mace. You know not if it has wind to knock out but you do stun it. You bring the mace over your head, bashing the djinn in his, sapphire liquid spraying hither and yon.

Again and again you strike, sending thick gobs of blue djinn blood flying.

It tries to raise a hand, be it pleading or defensive you know not. You care not.

You smash down on it's neck. You hear a crack like shattering glass.

The djinn twitches, heaves, then lies still.

"Holy shit...Is it dead."

You catch your breath, "Aye. It is no more."

You charge down the steps, brandishing your mace, REX TREMENDAE MAJESTATIS, GRANT ME THE STRENGHT TO KILL SLAY MY FOES!"

The djinn whips around, this one different than the other in thay it has singlar cyclopian eye, coppery in sheen and colour, with overly large forearms and hands, like great clubs.

You see an aetherial man in the center of the ring, a green specter draped in an emerald hooded robe. You see where a face would be is only shadow. The man sees you and dissapates into green mist, then vanishes completely.

"MASTER!" Screams the sorcerer, "You will die for transgressions crusa-wait, what?" The wizard sees you in your full fury, no confounded at your strange armament.

The Djinn begins to hum, a low steady drone, and it's eye begins to glow An angry yellow. The hum grows louder and steadier, a buzzing dirge, like hundreds of furious wasps.

Then it's eye becomes bright as the sun and fires a beam of searing light at you!

It misses but destroys the steps behind you. No way out now.

"You fool! Crush this barbari-" CRACK! "MY LEG!"

The djinn trumpets, grabbing it's head as if in pain. It recovers smashing down.

CRACK! The sends an invisible arrow the the warlock's chest, forcing him to a wounded knee, coughing blood.

You rush forwards, to strike down the raging Djinn, hopping forwards bringing your mace down in a vicious arc. The djinn blocks with his massive forearm, breaking your mace! You are forced back. You pray the Relic sword was worth the trouble.

You grab the sword by the haft and draw it.

The Djinn trumpets, like an elephant from Hell once more, exposing it's yellow circular mouth of golden points.

You answer it's call in turn, filled with a lust for battle you have not felt since Damascus. The two toned steel of the sword gleams a emerald green, reflecting the light of the evil ritual.

You charge it slashing upwards towards it's face in an attempt to silence it's singing, burning eye. The thing moves quick for its massive size, halfway dodging your strike, instead getting caught along the side of it's face, splitting it wide open. It begins to charge it's dread gaze, the glowing and droning increasing in intensity.

CRACK! CRACK! Twice it is hit the chest! the beast bellows, falling back.

You hear the wizard begin to chant brokenly, "WHAT WAS THAT WIZARD?! I CANNOT HEAR YOU! PERHAPS YOU CAN CEASE CHOKING ON YOUR OWN BLOOD AND WOULD HEAR YOU BETTER!" You scream, laughing.

You turn to the saracen magus. "PERHAPS I CAN LOOSEN YOUR TONGUE! FROM YOUR HEAD, AHAHAHAHA!" You grab him by his turbaned head, preparing to slice it clean off.

He raises a finger weekly, and a bolt of green lightning springs forth from it. Sending you into a column. You drop the blade, the savage blood lust draining from you.

"Y-you think-k you s-slay an d-dis-sciple o-of Zahe-" the wizard's speach was interrupted by a fit of bloody coughing, "Zaheeri? D-djinn, destro-" Is interrupted again as you regain you balance and put your heel to the bridge of his nose.

"Do we kill 'im?" Lee asks, as the djinn begins to get back up groggily.

>>Yes you do it, I'll attend to the djinn

Hes a vile heretic, he must be purified by holy fire. In lieu of that his weapon will do.

"I Have questions for him. Keep him there while I dispatch this demon."

"No..."The arab moans faintly.

You pick up your blade, feeling energized and ready for battle. The djinn gets back up. It sees your approach raises an arm to smack you away. You execute downward slash, lopping the arm off. The thing screams, thrashing about. You rush forwards and impale it through the chest and the light in its eye begins to die. You pull down on the blade, almost bisecting it. You notice that blue djinn blood glows faintly, like star light.

"Dude that was brutal..." Leonardo says, not all in praise.

"You should see what I'm going to do to this heathen WRETCH!"

"What is this amulet you seek? And where are the other 'seekers'?"you ask, rather calmly and politely.

The arab spits at you. A fat gob of blood hitting your cheek. You slap him then grab him by the face. "WHERE ARE THE SEAKERS?!" You strike him across his face again and he begins to shed a few tears.

"I k-know not!"

You tighten your grip and slap him again.

"I know n-not!" He begins to cough more blood, black bits of lung are included is the froth, his breath becoming more ragged.

"SWEAR TO ME!"

"I swear! I know not!"

"THEN WHERE ARE THEY GOING?! WHAT IS THIS POINT OF POWER?!"

"I-I know n-n-" You raise your hand, closing your open hand into a fist. "Save th-that I would find it if...if I followed the Lines! The Master was not clear of what this meant!"

"WHAT OF THE AMULET?!"

"It is a-AACH!" He seizes up, choking on his own lungs in earnest now, a red froth forming in his mouth.

"Yo, I think he's down for the count. You gonna put him out if his misery?"

"Yes." you drive your blade into his skull. Silencing his pitiful gurgling. You kneel and wipe your blade off on his robes.

"What do we do know?" Asks Lee.

"Simple," you say, sheathing your strange sword, "Find the Amulet and the other wizards and stop them from enacting this ritual."

"You make it sound so easy."

"Indeed. So...which way is out?"

So I'm gonna end it here folks, there probably won't be a thread tomorrow or friday, work has me all caught up, check the twitter if you can, I'll post dates and times there as soon as I know something.

Why the hell would we give back the murdersword3000? It's not that it's been forded over a mirrion times, it's that it's a fucking Muramasa. Shit's supposed to send you into berserker rages where if you don't start killing you off yourself, which I think Horseman is picking up on. Because so far Aldrich has not been this Bloodthirsty.
>>
>>37852261
Yep.. Time to leave it in a safe place and only use it when we need some serious DEUS VULTing to happen
>>
>>37852304
Or just keep it on hand? As a sidearm?
>>
>>37852399
I'd rather not carry it around and have it male us go insane, we bring it out when we Need it
