You take the time to tend to your weapons with the same care that a mother may care for her child, carefully applying your whetstone to the blade of your ace, checking the string of your bow, inspecting your arrows for any defects. You take a moment to appreciate your shield, upon which the heraldry of your clan is emblazoned, with the odd chip here and there from wear and tear. You feel a slight sad tug in your heart when you see the symbol, a massive white bear against a pale blue background, but you quickly shake off such sentimental thoughts. Perhaps when you have the time you will paint over the symbol of your shield and create a heraldry of your own. You hear a great deal of commotion and you realize you've been in your bunk for several hours as you sharpened your axe. It would seem that you are close to land.

You begin to collect your belongings, your weapons are holstered firmly to your body, your satchel with your basic supplies and such is slung over one shoulder and set behind your shield and when finally you leave your cabin you have the look of a proper warrior about you. You walk up on to the deck and see land in the distance, many of the other passengers seem eager to be on their way. You still have a bit of time before you land, enough to do one last thing.

You decide to search for Valka, she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders and a sense of humor, two things you needed in a companion. You find her fully geared as you are and when she noticed you she turns with a toothy grin. You get a better look at her is the evening sun. She's dressed in simple armor, chain mail covered in furs and trinkets. Her hair is short, almost like a mans, but her sizeable bust and soft features make it obvious she is a woman. A massive battle axe hangs along her back, worn as your own weapons are from years of use yet ready at any moment to cleave a man in two. Her skin is forest green meaning she likely was born in Junta or Caelden.

Valka looks at you in awe as those pent up wants and desires spill outward, the look in here eye tells her that your words are true. Possibly more true then any she had heard before.

Her lips part into a grin once more.

The two of you chat for a time stories of battles long since past until you can make out the people on the pier. From what you can see the town you are to arrive upon is massive, from what you can understand this is one of the only piers that accepts boats from other continents and as such it is a massive bustling center of trade. The boarding planks fall quickly and others begin milling off of the boat and onto dry land.

"So Eirik, where shall we start?"

You say as you make your way off the ship. After a bit of searching you find the small man who is jumping and waving frantically to get your attention.

"Ah yes, hello my friend! I see you've brought along a companion, excellent the more the merrier please follow me."

He scuttles off through the crowd and you manage to follow him into the town proper. The city looks like two cultures collided rather violently into one another when closely inspected. The building are strange, made with great sloping roofs and archways decorated with effigies of strange creatures you've never seen before. Oz leads you through the streets until you happen across an alley way that he darts down into, when finally you catch up to him he stands in front of a small door you might not have noticed if you weren't searching for it. He raps upon the door in a quick pattern and the door opens after a moment.

"Come come, quickly!"

He motions and disappears within. You and Valka exchange glanced, but between the two of you it is hard to feel particularly threatened. You both walk into the dark room and the door closes behind you. The room is lit by candlelight, there are boxes stacked everywhere and you find Oz sitting on a crate. Flanking either side of the door you walked through are two large Lao Xian men. Not as large as you or Valka, but large enough to prove a point. The two of you take seats on two opposing crates away from Oz.

Oz says with a simple smile, his fingers rubbing together for added effect.
