Using each "Level" for determining strength, with plus and negative modifiers, John is currently at a +5

Karasuba and the Angels are at a +10!

Meanwhile, everyone else is at +1! (Except for Kaname who is at +2)

So, we need to fix this.

You are John Galt, harem protagonist extraordinaire and owner of several new bruises from your recent bout of fighting with a woman determined to punch your face in. If that wasn’t how you normally operated it would have been cause for concern, but you’ve been in danger of grievous bodily harm from a female and not caring about it since basically the word go. Mostly it was just surprising you only had bruises instead of bleeding wounds, with the bruises already fading away.
After the end of your impromptu spar with Momoyo, you got drug away to go have “proper” fun, whatever that meant. Mostly it was you playing in the water with your girls, splashing around, occasionally swimming out farther into the water and one very involved game of Marco Polo. After a while everyone seemed to slowly wear out, despite the excellent shape all of you were in. Packing up your things, you all chatted as you walked back to the Inn, along with Momoyo, her sister and the other group of girls who somehow disappeared then reappeared later.

Really it’s not much different than your own hall, seeing as how most Inns are laid out in a manner that makes them easy to navigate and not too distracting unless they want you to be. This one however is slightly different, clearly old yet still well taken care of in its old age, the wood slightly faded but still strong, the floor well taken care of and even the clearly new doors treated like an old friend. You wonder how many people must work here to keep up with all of the cleaning or how much magic somebody puts towards it.

As you wander down one of the second floor hallways, you almost bump into one of the girls from earlier as you both round a corner. Moving your hands up quickly to stop from crashing into each other, you manage to grab her by her shoulders even as she looks a little shocked.

“Ahh, excuse me you say,” moving your hands down and off of her as soon as you aren’t about to knock her over, “Sorry about that.”

“It’s fine,” she says, her face taking on a light blush after you let go of her.

There’s a few seconds of awkward silence as the two of you stare at each other before you nod your head and try to move away. “Well, I guess I’ll see you at dinner,” you say to her, about to step past.

“Wait,” she says, grabbing your attention, “Earlier, on the beach. Why didn’t you simply remove those men who were bothering you instead of leading them on like that? Based on your later fight they would have been no trouble.”

You weren’t aware that the girl had even seen either of those, much less both.

“I had fun,” you reply with a grin, “It really wasn’t much effort anyway and I was mostly doing it so the girls didn’t hurt them too badly.”

“They could have dealt with them by themselves?” she asks again.

“Yep,” you say with a nod, “No problemo for nearly any of them. Even Kaname probably if she gave it some thought. But Tatsuko, Akeno and Kaede don’t usually go for subtle. My way prevented anyone from going to the hospital and gave me a light workout.”

“You call that a light workout?” the girl seems more incredulous by the minute.

“Yeah,” you say, “You should see my normal ones,” Then you give her a wink, “and my best is only for pretty women.”

She seems even more taken aback by this, her face turning red from your compliment.

“Anyway,” you say, checking the time, “I think it’s time for dinner, don’t want to be late!”

Turning about, you leave the girl to stare at your back.

Dinner turns out to be another well cooked meal, again handed out by the purple haired landlady. You think you see someone in the back helping her, but your attention is grabbed mostly by Chris and Nanoha who managed to claim the seats at your side for this meal. It seems they had been working together to better their abilities just like everyone else and wanted to show you sometime. There were also several mentions of how they felt better overall thanks to your food and wanted to show you how much better they were.

Deciding to let the angels go do their thing, you turn the other way and head towards the commotion in the lobby. It doesn’t take long for you to get there, being only a little ways down the hall but even from that far you hear more and more voices. Turning around the corner you see something you would’ve never have guessed.

It’s the delinquents, what looks like every last one of them. You gape a little bit, surprised to see them. What’s more, you never expected to see them dressed up like they are, which is to say extra delinquenty. They look ridiculous, with extra chains, even weirder hair and plenty of fake gang symbols that you know they don’t usually have on.

One of them turns to see you standing there and calls out.

“Hey boss!” she says, before turning to yell over her shoulder, “Hey everyone, Boss is here!”

Most of the group turns to see what she’s yelling about, then yells hello out to you as they continue to file up the stairs to what you assume are their rooms.

“What are you all doing here?” you ask the one who saw you first.

“There’s a festival in town!” she says with a smile, “We all got invited in for some parade or something that they’re throwing, they wanted us to dress up really funny too,” she shrugs her shoulders, “All expenses paid, who were we to say no? Anyway, we’ll try not to bug you!” With that she waves, her group turning to wander off up the stairs.

Even as you shake your head at the ridiculousness of it all, another group walks in behind them. This group you recognize immediately, as it is headed by someone who you’re a little bit more intimately familiar with than most.

“Ooh, promise?” she asks coyly then laughs, “I think we’ve got em this time, but we’ll keep in touch yeah? Anyway, I’ve gotta go get settled in. See you around!”

As you wave goodbye, to Aurora, her hips with probably a bit too much sway n them to be natural, yet ANOTHER group walks in. The Inn has to be near bursting at this point.

However this group is even more unusual than the other two, about a hundred strangely dressed people, mostly girls, many of them carrying a variety of weapons as well. They seem to be talking like a big happy…it clicks as two familiar faces swim into view. One of them has definitely grown up, a lot, but the other looks nearly the same. Though you see both of them, they don’t appear to see you. You let them wander by, unsure of their names or even if they would remember you in the first place.

After all of that, finally the stream of people ends, the sound of engines in the drive pulling away signaling the many buses that would be required to carry all of them. Though you don’t see anyone, you can almost faintly hear the Inn vibrating, full to the brim with people after being nearly empty.

Alright, now that you’ve been not so subtly reminded that there are powers beyond even what you know involved in your life, you decide to go try and find the angels, they looked like they were up to something with all their whispering. Heading in the direction the were going when you last saw them, you manage to find them in the back corner of the Inn, inside a small dojo of all things.

They look up as you slide open the door, Elizasleyn and Ragsmuena down on their knees and drawing something while Melodiana and Mehisha are sitting down outside of the boundaries, soft light flowing from their bodies.

You’re just about to turn around and leave, before you hear Elizasleyn call out to you.

“John, stay,” she says, not looking up from her work.

“I’m not interrupting?” you ask her.

“No,” she says, finishing up the intricate design on the floor, “we need to talk.”

Standing up, she’s the only one to turn to you, Ragsmuena still drawing as the others continue well…it kinda looks like they’re praying.

“We’ve figured out a way to bring the people you asked about back,” she says, her wings flapping slightly in front of you, almost a sign of nervousness, “Well, really two ways.”

“Two?” you ask her.

“Yes two,” she says, “The easy way and the hard way.”

“Why do I not like the sound of that?” you ask her.

“Because it’s not an easy choice,” she says, “The easy way involves us sitting around praying and some magic. You’d stand in the middle of the circle since you’re the one who we’re doing this for,” she raises your hand as your mouth opens, “I know it’s not for you, but you’re the one who asked. Unfortunately, this one has about a fifty percent shot at best.”

I doubt the final battle is near. There is still much we have to do after all. Like bringing Tatsuko's family back from the dead and other girls permanent quests. And the Chibi Arc

You think about this one. Not just your normal brief check of the odds and then mostly ignoring them, you actually think about this.

It all revolves around Tatsuko. She feels…well she feels absolutely wretched about what happened to them. She almost completely broke down in your arms, even when you told her it was ok. Seeing her like that wasn’t something you ever want to see again, so you vowed to bring them back somehow.

On one hand, you can’t fail. You just can’t. 50/50 isn’t good enough. On the other hand…on the other hand if you hurt yourself doing this Tatsuko would likely never forgive herself for that either, even if it was all your doing. So, the answer is really simple. You’ll get help. Help beyond what even you can normally summon.

“We’ll do it my way,” you say, looking up at Elizasleyn, “I’ll use one of my…powers, to help you guys.”

She nods, a sigh coming out of her. “I was hoping you’d say that,” she says, “I didn’t like the others.”

“Yeah well, neither did I,” you say, giving her a wry grin, “So, we’ll do it my way. You get ready to help or whatever, I need to go grab Tatsuko.”

“Right,” she says, “We’ll be waiting for you.”

Turning, you head upstairs, ignoring the noise around you. Nothing can disturb you, nothing will stop you on this path.

You arrive at Tatsuko’s door and knock on it, waiting.

Luckily, it’s her that opens the door, still dressed.

“Hey,” you say lightly, “You busy?”

She shakes her head no. “Why?” she asks, apparently picking up on your mood.

“We’re going to bring your family back,” you say to her.

Her face freezes in shock. “…Now?” she finally asks.

“Now,” you say, nodding, “Right now, downstairs. I thought you’d want to be there when it happened.”

Her face tears up, nodding quickly up and down as she steps out of her room, shutting the door behind her. She grabs your hand, following beside you as you lead her back down to the dojo, where you find the four heavenly girls seated in the circle, all glowing a pale light.

“We’re ready when you are,” says Elizasleyn, nothing but her mouth moving, “Just…do what you need to do.”

You look at Tatsuko, who seems to be quivering in…emotion, you aren’t sure which you see more of. You squeeze her hand, she squeezes yours back before you let go and step into the circle. Looking around you feel…well you feel magic. Holy magic at that, but you aren’t really sure what to do with it yourself.

So you look up, even though “up” probably has relatively little meaning to your friend.

“I need this one,” you say softly under your breath, “I know you can help me with this, so please, for both of us.”

You feel…you feel a warm sensation inside of you, somewhere in your core. You’d say that it felt pleased, but then again you’ve never been truly sure what she was thinking. You close your eyes on instinct as you feel the warmth grow, then a pulse. A slow pulse, thump thump, thump thump. Another beat joins it, then a third and then a fourth. You feel pressure growing inside of you and then…a flash.

As the flash clears, you open your eyes, wondering if it worked.

Standing around you, looking even more confused, are the four from the scene in the field. That’s all you get to see before you’re suddenly tackled off your feet, Tatsuko’s arms somehow grasping all five of you as she rushes the group, bawling her eyes out. As you land with a thud, cries of exclamation coming from the four of them, you hear Tatsuko babbling, but that’s all it is, babble.

Extremely happy babble, the kind that sounds the joyous reunion of a big little girl and her family.

New schedule is still whenever the hell I can fit it in. At the very least I'll probably run Friday, I should have time then, but keep an eye on Twitter. Next thread I run will probably be Merc Quest though.
