ou are Kagome Higurashi, an average teenage girl from Tokyo. Well at least you WERE average. After a series of strange and unfortunate events you find yourself in a strange place with even stranger people.

Despite an unpleasant and bitter cold evening you awaken well rested and ready for another day of travel as Sango’s captive. The demon hunter even seems to be in a better mood and has even loosened your bindings and allowed you to help with breaking “camp” while the two men sit at the corner of the room, still bound to each other.

As you finish cleaning out the insides of the iron pot used to make tea the night before you notice the rope burns on your wrist seem to have healed. Your wonderment is cut short however as Sango throws you some kind of skin canteen and orders you to fetch some water for the trip.

Kagome; assess the situation:

You flip the rather disgusting sack in your hands and sigh, stepping out of the doorway. Before you stretches the same forest as the night before. Dead and dried leaves litter the ground and a thick fog hands around your knees and restricts your full view of the forest to about 100 yards or so. A thin covering of clouds and canopy block out some of the suns rays and warmth giving the impression that it is late afternoon rather than early morning.

You effortlessly make your way down the gently sloping landscape, making a sort of game out of it as you dart between trees, hurdle over rocks, and slide across leaves before you realize you don’t know where a stream may be in this area. Stopping in your tracks you take a moment to listen. No other sounds. No birds, insects, or footprints from any of the guards. The woods are completely silent save for the feint sound of running water in the far distance which you follow, arriving at a pristine stream. Small bits of ice chip off and flow down the stream, breaking and hitting the rocks.

You bend down and place the skin in the rushing water which promptly fills with clean iced water. Its been a long time since you’ve bather or enjoyed a cool drink and your mouth waters as the thought of drinking from the stream.

Steadily you lower yourself to your belly and dunk your face into the water and pull free. Your skin tingles and and stings from the icy sensation; but you feel even more relaxed than you did earlier this morning. You roll over with a sigh and admire the tree line for a few brief moments before you make out a black figure sitting idly in the treetops watching you. By the looks of the stance and figure, you could swear it was Yura.

The university decided to donate the legal research section to a paralegal program. I'm pre-law. Everyone with my focus is now at the whim of a fucking certificate program down the street, who have decided that, "while they would like to share the resources it would just be unfeasible." But we've been assured that we'll have the materials back at the end of the semester... whoopsie!

So now I've got to commute down town to get access to the legal library and pay for parking.

Other than that great.

You check your surroundings once more, the sudden shock of thrusting your face into the cold stream fading into pinpricks. You seem to be “alone”. Either Sango was lying about traveling with a group, or you evade them, or they’re just really good at hiding. No matter the case it would probably be a good idea to touch base with Yura again as long as you keep things informal. If it IS Yura.

You tilt your head back “Hell-ooooooooh-oooooh!” you cry. The figure shifts in its position before daintily dropping down branch after branch, knocking an occasional leaf or twig loose before cutting through the thin fog and landing at your feet. The sound of dried leaves crunching against her heels.

Yuras brilliant pink eyes seem to sparkle as she quickly looks you over before she reaches out and puts a hand on your shoulder, circling you, but keeping contact.

“Oh me oh my, what is a pretty thing like you doing out here all alone? And talking to “strangers”.” She tisks “You should really be more careful…”

“What do you mean “careful”?” you chuckle as the hair demon steps back and puts her hand under her chin.

“Oh you never know what sort of monsters could be hiding in the trees just out of reach or even on the path downwind.” She smiles.

“So forest demon you say I’m being followed?” you say tying the skin to your waist.

“Perhaps.” She coos, producing a single strand of reddish hair before letting go and losing it in the wind.

You exhale and furrow your brow. Great, so there IS someone lurking about other than her. Hopefully it’s just the hermit from last night.

“Thank you for the advice. Certainly I’m in your debt, but tell me how are you getting by without any company alone in these woods?”

“Oh it’s not so much trouble and I certainly wouldn’t want you to loose your head over pretty little me. I’m sure I’ll be meeting some new friends any day now…” she grins, lifting herself effortlessly back into the treetops from her threads.

“Do take care won’t you?”

“I will, thanks!” you wave as you head back towards the shack and the rest of your party content with your ruse. You’re pretty sure you didn’t have an audience, but if you did they should have easily been fooled. The people around wherever you are are pretty clueless anyway.

Still you can’t help but think of Yuras words and the color of that hair. Japanese don’t have red hair so its got to be a demon or maybe just a random thread of some garment? Are they following you right now? Is Yura? Maybe she’s watching whoever is following you?

Before you realize it, you’re back at the cabin. Sango stands contra-pasto, her arms crossed. She taps her foot against the wooden floor of the open cabin, the rope linking Kujo and Inuyasha together tucked under her arm.

“Bout time ya got back! Why didn’t ya run away stupid?!”
“We did willingly give ourselves up to seek an audience with Koga...”
“Ya, I know and that don’t make it any less dumb. Ya idiot.”

‘If you're quite finished... I’m relieved you’re back. Your companions are rather… loud for my taste.” Sango adds as she rebinds your hands and takes the skin from you, patting you down for weapons. “Come, we’ll arrive before midday if we make haste.” She says tugging on your reigns and directing you further into the forest.

I'm worried that if we signal her that we're being followed she'll spot Yura rather than whoever we meant. She'll also want to know how or why we suspect this. I can't really come up with any bullshit lies at the moment too tired.
>>
>>37625115
Well as >>37625145 pointed out, Someone IS following us, it's just that that person is our ally. And Sango is a ninja hunter, so I'd rather not get her guard too raised.

Also just in general I can't really think of anything to say to Kujo or Inuyasha right now, it feels like it's been a long time.
>>
>>37625115

Doing fine, just following lots of things at once right now.

>>
>>37625115
I just showed up. definitely weird that we aren't talking to anyone though, I don't like it
>>
>>37625664
What should we say though? I mean it's not like Sango won't just tell us to keep quiet when we start talking. And if she doesn't, there's probably a lot of stuff we wouldn't want her learning.

Even if we're only pretending, being a prisoner doesn't have a lot of leeway.
>>
The four of you walk in silence with Inuyasha pointing out something “interesting” every once in a while, the silence obviously killing him, but you can’t really think of anything to say right now and you have no desire to try and get too personal with “Naraku” or Inuyasha right now with Sango leading you around and with another party apparently at your backs.

Eager to keep you movie, Sango passes each of you a small rice ration and you pass around the still surprisingly cool water, not stopping to break. Eventually you clear the forest and are faced with the sheer side of a rocky cliff, more forest sits below you quite a ways down and on the other side. As you make your way across the chasm the sun finally breaks free from the clouds. A little past mid-day.

You find yourself exhausted and sore. Panting you trudge along convincing yourself that it’s “just a little further”. While you seem to be running out of energy, Inuyasha seems more alert and eager than ever. His ears constantly twitch and rotate and his pupils eagerly scan the horizon and before long you know why.

It’s feint, but you can hear voices in the distance.

“We’re here.” Kujo grunts, a perverse sort of eagerness in his tone.

The forest finally gives way to a clearing and in that clearing sits a roaring fire attended by several men clad in furs and rough armor. Wolves prance about stopping for only a few moments to eye you down before running off between the trees and crude tents. The heat is blistering.

Your blood pumps as this crowd of young men mumble to themselves and follow you closer and closer to the fire. You feel a pressure on the back of your knees as you’re forced to the ground. Your mind races as it kicks into fight or flight. Sango lets loose her grip on the rope and walks behind the roaring fire to the small wooden throne in front of it you had overlooked. She kneels and as she does so the figure in the throne rises and walks towards you, a wide grin on his face.

"Well well, lookie lookie what the cat dragged in..."

It's been a while and I'd rather not check the archives, but this is the situation right:

So wolf guys's men ostensibly butchered Shady Shopkeeper's village and killed his son, and in an unrelated(?) incident, some foreign necromancer decided to make use of all the corpses lying around?

And then later, we fought a bunch of the wolf youkai and killed them?

And Sango has been hired by wolf guy for some reason and is bowing to him because???

If Snow is rolling, it will be Koga and he won't roll above a 7 even with modifiers.

>>37626195
Pretty much. Most of the things about Koga are revealed through interludes.

There was a village that is illuded to having been slaughtered by Koga. It happened to be the one shopkeeper hired us to protect him to. Then we got there and his shop and the rest of the village were burned down in his son was dead. then there was some weird fly guy that we beat and along the way and there was an interlude about Songo teaming up with Koga to get more information on his tribe and why they were acting out I think. this was after he ran away from having watched us murder a whole lot of wolves that attacked us when we were trying to get Inuyashas sword.

after that dog boy beat up his brother we got the sword came back from hell then got attacked by a ninja it was a demon hunter who was Songo when we found yours body but she wasn't dead then we track down Songo surrendered to her and here we are.

MEANWHILE IN THE FUTURE (probably):

Soldiers, it has often been said that I hate demons.

Soldiers, I hate demons.

No, ladies and gentlemen, I loath demons!

I loath yokai. I loath halfbreeds. I loath kitsune. I loath kami, tengu, I loath oni, and inari.

Slaughtering demons across prairies, in streets, in trenches, in grasslands, in frozen tundras, through deserts, on the sea, in the air, I love every act of devil killing that can occur upon this or any other earth.

I love blasting the enemy to smithereens with artillery salvos that thunder across the lines of battle.

My heart leaps with joy whenever a demon is tossed into the air and cut to pieces by well placed sniper rounds.

And there is nothing like a tank operator using a Tiger 88 to destroy a Gashadokuro. And the feeling that comes when a demon runs screaming from his hiding place only to be mowed down by heavy machine gun fire, is such an exquisite thing to behold.

Like when ranks of specialists brandish their bayonets rushing into the infernal swarm. It moves me deep within my heart to watch a fresh recruit stabbing over and over into the bloated chest of a long-dead oni.

The sight of the CQC battalion obliterating hordes kami with hi-frequency blades is an irresistible pleasure. And there is nothing more arousing, than the sounds made by kitsune dropping like flies, screaming in agony as they're mowed down by ear piercing schmeissers!

When a cultists makes their final stand with nothing but small arms, only to have their chapel smashed to atoms block by block by 4.8 ton bombshells, I'm in ecstasy.

I love it when my forces ravage an S-tier threat. It's depressing to think of innocent lives being raped and killed because we failed in our duties and to deprive them of these feelings.

I love demons when they’re squashed under our heels. The humiliation, as they crawl around like vermin, ducking the yark bombers flying overhead.

Ladies and Gentlemen... All I ask for is a cleansing. A cleansing so grand as to make Lucifer himself tremble. Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you as fellow brothers in arms, what is it you really want? Do you wish for further annihilation as I do? Do you wish for a merciless, bloody purge? A war whose fury is built with iron, and lightning, and fire? Do you ask for war to sweep in like a tempest, leaving not even ravens to scavenge, from this Earth!?

Very well. Then war is what you shall have. We are a clenched fist, ready to strike down any demon who opposes us, with our might. But... After enduring over half a century wallowing in the darkness, for us, a simple "ordinary" war will no longer be sufficient. We need a MASSIVE war! A war beyond any other that man's history has ever known!

We are but a single battalion... The remnants of a secret cypher numbering less than a thousand strong. However, I believe that each of you is worth a thousand of their sickly soft children! We represent a force that could easily defeat a demon army of a million and one! It is time for us to awake the ones who sent us screaming into the shadows. Let's drag them out of bed by the hair as they have done to us, and remind them of what we are! Human! We will remind them of what it feels like to live in fear. We will remind them of the sound our jackboots make against their throats. We will remind them, that there are more things between Heaven and Hell than are dreamt of in their philosophy.

Our battalion of one thousand battle-hardened warriors will burn their world down to ash. Yes, my friends! Soon, the charred remains of yokai will illuminate the night sky! I have brought you all back just as I promised I would. Back to our favorite battlefield. Back to our beloved war!

At last, the sea lion has crossed the ocean and is heading up the hill! Attention soldiers of the Anti-Oni battalion, this is a message from your commander:

Friends... let's send them back to Hell.

Well, it's a quote taken from literal nazis, and made to reek of HFY, even though in modern times it seems clear that there aren't any demons left, much less enough to have a land war with.

Furthermore, they're time traveling right now, and that kind of idiotic mindset is the last thing anyone would want.

I hope for the sake of the space time continuum, we've just got operators operating operationally.
>>
>>37639368
Operators operating in the past is highly likely especially with the last interlude we got.

As for the future/ present, I wouldn't put it past Snow to have turned Tokyo into a paranormal war zone since the bulk of the demons would be flooding in from the past or alternate timelines or something.

Still probably just operators operating in the city for a few high target threats with a HUGE cover story about an illness or contamination or something to get people the fuck out so they can sweep the city.

You’ve been drug to a camp nestled in the woods and forced to your knees. A large bonfire roars in front of you and several thuggish looking men surround you from all sides.

Through the intense light and heat of the fire you see a man approaching you. A wide grin on his face, fangs bared.

Though he wears simple furs and armor you know exactly who this man is. Koga of the wolf demon tribe.

"Well well, lookie lookie what the cat dragged in. I didn’t think ya’d be so easy ta catch. Hey Sango… where’s the other one?”

“There where only three and I was instructed simply to find “the short haired whore who's with the mangy mutt in red”.”

The barbarian of a man closes his eyes and growls before reopening them. “It’s fine... Not like anyone would be stupid enough to come after them here anyway."

He clears his throat "I am Koga of the wolf demon tribe and I've been looking "forward" to meeting you for quite some time." His voice shakes with barely contained rage.

"I usually don’t like killing women, especially not ones as good looken as you might be with a little work, but I’m making an exception today. I'm going to avenge my brothers!”

The crowd shouts and cheers as more logs are thrown onto the fire. He crosses his arms as he narrows his eyes “I am feeling rather generous today despite myself, so go ahead and make your final request!”

Final request… final… request?! Pretty with a little work?! Your blood starts to boil in your veins. After all he’s apparently put the world through and he has the gall?! No. You simply cannot stand for this. You WILL NOT stand for this.

You lift your gaze from the floor. Small tears beading in the corners of your eyes. You refuse to just lie down and die. This isn’t about survival. It’s not about revenge or even justice. It’s about proving to yourself that you can and will push through any obstacle in your way to return home and save your family.

“Ya, I’ve got a last request…” you say, your voice shuddering “For all the people you’ve been slaughtering for all the evil you’ve done… ya I killed your wolves probably, but so what huh? You’re going to get all bent out of shape about the rules of nature when you’ve already spilled so much blood?!” Is… this really you talking? “It’s kill or be killed and there’s no way I’m not leaving here alive. I admit I was interested in what you might have had to say when we met, but I see you’re just a pompous prince with a chip on his shoulder. You hate killing women? So what? You’re not going to have to today “Koga”… because my final request… is a duel with you.”

The wolf demons face slowly contorts a your words boiling with rage. His fists flex and unflex turning his knuckles white. His fellow barbarians begin muttering to themselves. ”You don’t know a godamn thing do you human?” “FINE! I accept your challenge. Name your terms because I’m itching for a fight.”

Actually without his 2 Jewel Shards, Koga is no longer the speed demons he was in the manga.

I think Kagome is overcompensating in the other direction for trying not to be a coward.

Also telling Inuyasha to fight this guy for us, while smarter, isn't braver.

Like while I do like talking things out, I don't think reasoning would have worked right now.

Seems pretty straight forward. Wolf demons attack humans. We kill them. He throws a bitch fit.

Kujo's village was also murdered by Koga's group. So we've got multiple offences.
>>
>>37646977
Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that if we end up killing him, fine. But putting forth that as a 'condition' on the fight is silly.
>>
>>37647039
Says death or yield.
>>
>>37647057
Which is pointless to say. It's a duel with a wolf demon, he'll kill us regardless. And Kagome isn't the sort to kill someone once they're down.
>>
Oh my.

>Kagome wins
>Koga lying beaten on the ground, exhausted.
>"Kill me already, woman. This is a duel."
>Kagome ruffles around in her bag.
>"Don't worry. I have a great idea."
>What are you talking about, girl?"
>Kagome raises Beads out of the bag.
>"What are those? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
>Kagome says the Words Of Power. Repent, Koga/whatever it is.
>"So ends the life of Koga, Spoiled Prince of Wolves. The duel is concluded. I have killed you."
>"And so begins the life of Koga, bondservant, or whatever I end up deciding to call you."
>"Hey, Yura! Come over here and meet our new packmule."
>"Ugh, another one with such horrible hair. I bet this one has fleas."
>>
>>37647008
Technically Kujo might be made of lies.

The fact that he would even know the name Naraku is... really bad. Also the way that he isn't doing anything right now but watching and waiting.
>>
>>37647039
I'm not sure why it would be silly. If he dies without it being a condition they could claim our win as illegitimate and attack us anyways. While I doubt they will just let us go if we win at least that can't be used against us.
>>
>>37647121
He also looks suspiciously like a not-dead Kisuke Urahara. Even if he's not planning something sinister, there's a good chance that we're going to end up doing something dangerous anyway.
>>
>>37647152
And Kagome would be thinking this? Sounds more meta-gamey than in character.
>>
>>37647212
Eh, even if she's angry, straight up killing a dude she already beat isn't an appealing idea.

Not that it matters, since there's no way he was beaten that fast, even with a weak start.
>>
>>37647212

We are dueling with weapons. That is to the death by default. We die if we lose anyway and a lot of us want him dead period so by extension Kagome does. All this does is give us the freedom to not hold back for fear of killing him. She has also been marching for days with nothing else to think about so yes she could have thought about that.

Koga jerks his head towards you and a scrawny looking man in grey hair and a fur vest approaches from the sidelines, a large brown sack wrapped in his arms which he empties in front of you with a loud clang before running off again.

“Kagome, ya don’t have ta do this, just let me do it for ya. Or even Kujo; this was all his idea anyway. This an’t like you.”

“I have to do this. I need to take responsibility for my actions and I can’t just sit by and let you shoulder my weight. I refuse to be a burden Inuyasha… It’s time I finally move forward.”

You retrieve your weapons from the pile and equip yourself before stepping forwards. You breathe in and out, your heart beating a million miles an hour “What have I gotten myself into?” you find yourself wondering. You can do this. The black bug monster wasn’t a problem so why would this guy be right? Right.

Koga follows you close by, stopping a few dozen feet in front of the wooden chair he was sitting in. The ground around you seems well trodden and is mostly dirt with a few blades of grass and an errant twig.

“Yer gunna get yerself kills ya moron! Say somethen already!”

“Normally I'd say that was pretty gutsy of you, then again after seeing what happened to my wolves… I see right through your innocent little miss justice act. I’d ask for your name, but lets just spare the formalities and get right to it.”

He disappears in a literal whirlwind which rushes at you at an incredible speed. Run? No that’s what he’d expect. You slam your Naginata into the ground and raise your arm and drop your profile to lower your center of gravity just in time for the whirlwind to dissipate, revealing Koga making an airborn downward kick which catches your forearm. For the split second you see him, he looks stunned. Swaying back with the force of his blow you cock your free arm then throw yourself forward and into a powerful uppercut connecting with his chest and throwing him to the ground with a thud where he spits and attempts to ready himself.

“…KICK HIS ASS KAGOME!”

That’s right… he’s impulsive and direct… Just like Inuyasha. And for as long as you’ve known him, you’ve only ever seen him win a single fight. You grin to yourself. This should be a pretty each match, but if you’re going to really hit this guy, it’ll need to be in his most vulnerable spot right under family. Pride. You’ll beat him in just two moves.

“That was a pretty good hit, but I’m not going easy on you again!” the wolf demon roars before leaping to his feet again.

You close your eyes and breath deep, exhaling frost. You feel your skin turn to goose flesh as the temperature around you drops and the world seems to slow. You pluck your naginata from the ground. You feel your front leg sweeping out and your waist turning; almost as if you’re holding your pole weapon in a deep crouching batters position. You slowly open your eyes.

“Kaze no Bon. Dance of the North.”

You swing your naginata as hard as you can, your momentum carrying your outstretched foot with you as you spin. A jet of frost erupts from the arc of your naginatas blade, slamming into a shocked Koga who attempts to roll out of the way.

You slowly fade back into reality from your trace to cries of wolf demons booing and exclaiming that you have a demon weapon. The sky seems greyer and the roaring fire duller and weaker. Koga kneels slightly off to the side of a large, but quickly melting patch of ice. He grits his teeth holding the shoulder of his now purpled and unmoving left arm, his left eye and part of his face reddened and bloodshot.

“Damn you…”

He wobbles to his feet and grabs a pouch from his waste, dumping the contents on the ground. 4 silver bracelets. You simply watch him as he stands there, quite possibly about to cry as his left arm begins to trickle blood in several spots.

“THERE’S NO WAY I’LL LOSE TO YOU!”

He charges again and you brace yourself as you notice a ring around the bracelets center flash blue. They shoot into the air and attatch themselves to Kogas wrists and ankles.

“This guy just won’t let up…” you mutter to yourself through gritted teeth. You’ve got no idea what those trinkets will do, but you need to shut him down fast just in case. With a yell you charge forward, your Naginata trailing behind you as you rush to meet the demon head on, but at the last second you throw your shoulder to the left and roll, landing on your knees as you throw the rest of your momentum into your poleweapon only to see Koga lunge over it fist first in a flying strike.

The demon quickly corrects himself when he lands and launches a straight at your face. Tilting your naginata up, you deflect it to the side with the pole and smash it against his face causing him to stumble backwards for a moment before rushing at you again with a flurry of punches, pushing you backwards as you struggle to deflect and redirect them all.

Realizing you’re evenly matched at the moment he backs off and paces back and forth watching you, a slight limp in his left leg and his left arm bleeding profusely from the frostbite and exertion.

You feel a slight trickle of blood on your cheek. When did he hit you? You wipe your face as you try and steady your breathing.

“So… you’re not human after all.” He pants. “No way you could be to keep up with me now…”

He reaches to both of the bands on his wrists and touches them, causing the blue glowing ring to shift to red. “I was really hoping I wouldn’t ever have to use these.”

You notice the wind begin to pick up around you and the sky shifts from a light to dark grey as leaves swirl around the wolf demon prince. “But someone like you is a threat to my pack.”

He spins again, generating his whirlwind, red sparks and static emitting from the top and sides… then more… a red funnel? You turn your attention to the bonfire, now waning… trails of red drifting from the once hungry inferno through the air and into the vortex which stops with a sudden explosion of heat and force. You bring your arms up to shield your face from debris and as the dust clears, Koga stands strong once more, his wrist bracelets sparking and occasionally igniting.

“I’m not about to let anyone hurt us again.” In a flash, he's gone.

"KAGOME!"

You look up, falling toward you in the air at an incredible speed with his fist ablaze and cocked back is Koga.

Your eyes widen as Koga speeds toward you. You draw on instinct and drop your weapon to the ground, raising an open palm upwards to the sky, you feel your other hand gently wrap around your wrist as a pink light sparks and condenses within your palm.

Time slows for you yet again… this is going to hurt both of you more than you can imagine. Your light explodes and a series of pink crystalline blades launches forwards. Koga’s fast. Much faster now, but he’s unable to move his ruined left arm in time to absorb all the hits and the majority impacting him in the chest. His eyes go soft as blood seeps from his nose and lips. You’ve hit a lunge.

Open wide for a killing shot just as he was, you close your eyes as his fist impacts you in the chest. Your leather armor bubbles and smolders as your forced backwards and down, the ground cracking under you and splintering out into a crater.

You breath deep, the speed of the world around you rushing back. You gasp, blood on your lips. Both you and Koga stagger to your feet and he takes a weary fighting stance.

"I will never forgive... what has been done to us..." He spits.

>>
>>37650756
One fun thing we could do if he tries to say something about how they were killed would be to say that it's due to his wanton slaughter that we were able to learn that spell, after we killed the monster that had perverted the corpses of the victims of the wolf. so even though we didn't want to, we're not going to really feel bad of those wolves getting a taste of the rot they left behind.

Everything in your body hurts. Your chest feels like it’s on fire and you’re pretty sure you may have at least a few cracked ribs or a sternum. Your hand trembles as you reach in your belt to pull out a small pot of Cleansing Salt. Trying to keep your face straight and filled with resolve to fight back the scream of pain that wants to let its way out of your lungs. You’re alive and you intend to keep it that way and what better way to control an animal than by caging it like you did the first time with Inuyasha?

“You’re such a hypocrite and you don’t even know it? Do you?”

Koga stands there gritting his teeth, then it finally clicks. You see his eyes widen as you flick the top of the jar off and he rushes you, the flames emitting from his bracelets noticeably duller than before as if to reflect his waning life.

You leap backwards and tilt the pot. It hits the ground and a thin pink light flickers as Koga rams his fist into it and pushes through striking you in the shoulder and throwing you from your feet. It doesn’t seem much of the salt spilled however and you scramble to grab it and at least draw a circle around yourself when a wetness hits your face.

Looking around you the men are in disarray and fighting one another. Koga stands over you, a shimmering silver blade protruding from his gut and a frail arm wrapped around his throat. In the distance a young girl with red hair falls to her knees.

>>
>>37651675
Oh whoops, got Kujo and Koga missed up.

Who has frail arms and a shimmering silver sword?

That doesn't sound like Inuyasha or Koga.
>>
>>37651675

Either there's an ambitious would-be alpha wolf looking to usurp Koga's position, or Yura was steadily gaining control of wolf tribe members and finally decided that now was the moment to strike.
>>
>>37651796
Maybe Kagura or Yura picked up a sword. That lord from Kujo's village was looking for Koga right?
>>
>>37650756
so filler Wolf girl was following us to meet/ save Koga and Kujo (named after the evil Stephen king dog?) probably shaked that guy since it doesn't seem like an Inuyasha thing to do or maybe it was sango betting it's Sango.
Shame best girl is cry.

Now to find out what shady guy didn't't go full murder suiccide and claimed to be Natalie despite being g man due to touching Inuyashas sword.
>>
>>37651883
I don't know, though Sango and Yura are both women, I wouldn't call them frail either.
>>
>>37651837
Shit you're right and he has the same name as the prince canon Naraku was disguised as early on... Not to mention his miasma ex machina can do fucking whatever.

Then again Sango was ordered to track the Wolf Demon Tribe and entered into merc work to study them close. Maybe she saw an opening?

Or it could actually be Kujo being a little bitch and stealing our victory and not even looking his first kill in the eye. Didn't he take a sword from his sons shop? I can't remember everything.
>>
>>37651775
We can see the arm right? Who's ARM IS IT!?!? Is it wearing Sango clothing? Is it Kujo style arm? Is it an arm Yura ripped off some poor bastard and slammed through Koga because she's Tsun for Kagome?
>>
>>37651883
How would Kujo even KNOW about Naraku? Didn't the dude like to keep a low profile?

>>

Perhaps there was an event that caused him to keep a low profile. But if he knows about Naraku, perhaps he was a well-connected or very knowledgeable and shady individual.
>>
>>37652089
Eh, this guy kind of was gonna kill us because we presumably killed his men in an ugly way because they were trying to kill us and our friends.
>>

Kujo
Inuyasha
Sango
Yura
Naraku

>Traveling Merchant is actually a primitive Shadow Broker

>>37652185
Koga's very loyal to his men. He ran away like a bitch at first which is really unlike him though, but now he pulled out all the stops just to avenge a small handful of wolves. Not even demons. Actual wolves. (until snow says otherwise).
And is it me or did Koga seem more powerful here than he ever did in canon with shards? Sort of want to try and friendship him, but I doubt he or Kujo would go for it... if either are still alive.

>>
>>37652259
Well that's because he has that magical artifact he probably got from foreigners.

Also those clearly weren't normal wolves, Inuyasha pointed it out as he was fighting them.

Though, it's possible that the village we fought them in was actually THEIR village, and we were trespassers. Though their refusal to explain themselves would still make them assholes.

WE BACK!
All we need now is some spooky and an interlude.
>>
>>37652028
Hm. So that means it's not Yura, since she has those glove things.
>>
>>37652434
Yeah, I'd say this was a pretty successful thread.
>>
>>37652435
Not if she tore it off of someone else and strung it after him to stab him. Puppeteering the limb.
>>
>>37652544
True.

One thing I'm curious about. It seems like the out-of-duel fighting was already taking place before Kujo got stabbed, and neither us nor Kujo noticed because we were so focused on fighting each other?
>>
>>37652599

Do you mean Koga instead of Kujo?

Might be that Yura causing chaos with hair puppet shenanigans after the fire-punch Kagome tanked.
>>
>>37652599
I... names man. I can't tell what you're trying to say. If you have to substitute Koga with wolf. Just so we don't get any misunderstandings.
>>
>>37652639
That 20 hug man. Our Kagome hugs like a fluffy wonderful caring beast.
>>
>>37652639
Yeah, Koga.

Also true, Yura puppeteering the wolves against each other would be within her abilities, though I thought wolf youkai would be a bit tougher than ordinary townsfolk.

She is the worst ally.

>>
>>37652676
How so? We've got no reason to distrust her. She has had a few opportunities to kill us and if used correctly her abilities are wonderful for combat.
>>
>>37652691
Huh. Well the body we see is pretty much just facade made out of hair, her true self is the skull and comb.

I suppose she could look like anything. She's Bayonetta only moreso.
>>
>>37652706
She's actively trying to corrupt us? She probably was the one to kill those wolves, but let us take the fall, hell she might have been commandeering those wolves when they originally attacked us.
>>
>>37652720
Though wait, Kagome's priestess powers let her see Yura's hair doesn't it?
>>
>>37652720
The corruption thing doesn't bother me at the moment because it's great to force Kagome to stop thinking she's walking on sunshine ooohoohoooh. Feudal Japan full of Yokai is awful.

I doubt she was controlling the wolves, Also they apparently attacked Kujo's village bit odd to believe she caused that as well.

I do think she killed the wolves leading to a Kagome pass out.. but I'm not 100% sure.

Inuyasha said he doesn't think we did it.. but he might also just say that because he likes us and we wouldn't kill no body no how. [/spoiler]
>>
>>37652734
yes unless we're losing those too.snow would have made special mention if she was confirming the wolves from before.
Betting it IS her now.

As for who stabbed Koga?
Wild card says Kohaku.

was hoping Koga and Kujo would have killed to each other honestly.
>>
>>37652751
The problem is that Kagome NOT being a pure soul has disastrous repercussions for the Shikon Jewel. More specifically, Magatsuchi.

>>
>>37652691
Bets on Koga being kill?

I mean I don't think we have any healing powers, nor does Sango. Also we don't really have much reason to use them because this guy hasn't given us any reason to think he's not a bag of dicks.
>>
>>37652845
Isn't Bayonetta's costume made of her hair?

Yura's everything is made of her hair.
>>
>>37652852

Inuyasha's survived some pretty grisly injuries, which includes being impaled just like that but with a larger-sized spike and being beaten around like a rag doll. Though that might just be his plot armor or being the offspring of a very powerful dog demon.

Koga might be able to survive if he can be transferred to a safe place and if there's a healer as skilled as Caede there to patch him up.
>>
>>37652788
Who?

>>37652852
I have no idea. Snow hasn't killed anyone off yet has he? He seems fond of the character too from how he(she?) writes him. Who knows?

>>37652751
The rot power isn't the thing "waking us up". It's the insanity and brutality in the world around us. Also I think it's time for a hot spring break after this.

If Koga IS dread... What do you all think Ayame will do?
>>
>>37652909
Swear vengeance or kill herself.

Also Magatsuchi is the much stronger proto-Naraku whose soul is trapped in eternal combat with Kumiko, the super-monk who created the Shikon jewel
>>
To do list:
Heal ourselves somehow
Berate shady merchant for not killing Koga like a man
Attempt to stop wolf butchering and take them under our command
Friendship Sango and red head girl
Oh and steal power bracelets
>>
>>37652945
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, yes ,yes.

>>37652909
I didn't say the rot power was waking us up. I'm saying Yura gets a kick out of showing Kagome she's done bad things and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The Rot is foreign as I understand it from that cult.
>>
>>37652945
>Attempt to stop wolf butchering and take them under our command

It's amazing how much none of those things are gonna happen.

I still want to eventually wear Yura like a skanky cat girl themed armor like we wanted waaaaaay back in the begining of the quest.

Yes please.
>>

Just like in every post thread conversation, we list out neat things we want to do and then when the time comes to suggest them, we're never on.

>>37652932
That is... Sure. Nothing makes sense anyway.

As for Ayame, totally agree with you that she's going to adorably try and man up and roll deep after us, only she doesn't have it in her to be a closer.
>>
>>37652998
... We could have saved her this heartbreak if only we explored at the river last nights session.
We could have explained things to her, maybe negotiated instead.
It's funny how one simple choice, thoughtless and none critical at the time, can have such conciquences.
>>
>>37652971
>Yura gets to second base before Inuyasha.
Poor bastard can't ever win anything... Unless we're controlling him.
>>
>>37653025
Wait, she was the one following us?

Also, I place partial blame for that on the QM just really not getting what being taken prisoner means. Especially when our friends are -also- taken prisoner.
>>
>>37653025
Does one choice really matter all that much?

>>37652691
Night snow thanks for running.
>>
>>37653043
Only clue we got was Yuras hair and an interlude a looooooong time ago that probably had nothing to do with anything other than being an easter egg. As for being taken prisoner, honestly it was fine for me. Our movement was restricted and Sango kept on us aside from the guest thing where we interrupted and fetching water which she let us do because we got a little friendly with her. I'm glad he didn't just end it with "you are prisoners and she takes you to the camp and nothing happens." It let us get to know Sango a little better.
The best part was that it was short and we have our freedom back.
>>
>>37653082
I meant that he didn't get that we wouldn't want to talk to our captor that much, nor would we want to make her think we tried to run away by taking too long.

Really, since Yura is presumably on our side, we wouldn't have wanted to give Sango any reason to raise her guard more.
>>
>>37653115
Ya, I'll give you that one. It is kind of tough to read Snow sometimes. He may have made her not care that much or he could have had her poof in behind us.
Still want to know what good those 20's did us other than get SUPER DUPER water.
Come to think, we rolled a lot of 20's this thread. Personality upgrade?
