You are Shee Hyul, rebel and psychic. Your world is ruled by inhuman creatures and this has gone on far too long, it’s time to fight back.

“You can’t go” you say, sergeant Yonsul turns back to you with a surprised expression.

“You telling me what to do kid?” she asks, more amused than anything.

“Yes” you say “Any of those vamps could read your plan out of your mind.”

“I’m aware” she says, folding her arms “the department has talismans against mind-reading, carrying one on certain business is standard, them not being able to read my mind will be expected.”

“They’ll suspect you” you point out.

“Crimsonthorne himself will” allows the sergeant “But he’ll suspect something is up with our alliance, he won’t know why I’m truly there.”

“It’s too risky” you say “You’ll get found out.”

“It is a risk” says the sergeant “but one I’m willing to take, I’m not asking you to come with me.”

“And how will this impact me and Quinn getting info from Kae?” you ask “If Crimsonthorne has reason to suspect something, he could dig deeper and realise Kae is just keeping Quinn around as a pawn or whatever.”

Sergeant Yonsul looks conflicted, and then nods “You’re right” she says “It’s too risky, I just, I got carried away I guess. I’ll stay away, we both will, now, about that ride?”

“Sure” you say, getting in the car “Let’s go.”

Sergeant Yonsul and Zasky drop you off at a bus stop close to the Hive exit and you go home.
>>
You walk into your shack to find Lirael and Rainya curled up on your bed, reading something off Liraels datapad. Lirael looks like she’s calmed down a little.

“Hi Shee” says Rainya, looking up as you enter “How’d it go?”

“Rough” you say, lying down next to them “Almost got pulled into a-ah I won’t bother you with the details, what’re you reading?”

You spend the rest of the evening reading to Lirael with Rainya, eventually the three of you fall asleep on your narrow bed.
---
You wake up the next morning with an elbow in your face. You roll out of bed, trying to avoid disturbing Lirael and Rainya and stretch as you get up, wondering about your plans for today. You recall that you and Kae planned to go out this evening.

What are your plans for today?

You know this is going to bite us in the ass sooner or later, right? Avoiding a little risk now will only make the later risks stronger.
>>
>>37590189
>Go to Charun
>Don't forget to feed Lirael
>>
>>37590329
It was not a little risk. That was the problem, there were half a dozen major risks involved in ging to that party. It would have been a absurdly stupid idea.
>>
>>37590189
>>37590231
This and also feed Lirael.
>>
>>37590329
That party screamed death trap, unless something changes we shouldn't go. Everyone there would want us dead for at least 4 reasons. (resistance op, faerie spy, police spy, unregistered psychic, fledgling demigod, harboring a forbidden vampire race, etc.)
>>
>>37590329
If we would have been provided with a good reason for Shee to overcome her very reasonable aversion to going there, I would have done it.
But not a single convincing reason existed.
First it was: We need to get leverage on Crimsonthorn so he won't kill us if Kae axes Quinn.
We can just tell Kae not to do that. Problem solved.
Then it was "but its interesting info and I need to know", which would have meant going there on the off-chance we might somehow overhear something of any value.
The only reason Shee ever got to going there would have been to keep Yonsuls back free, and we would have bitten that if we couldn't have convinced her.
For herself, Shee never had a reason to go, and I'm not gonna vote for something I want that the character would absolutely not want.
>>
ok, writing visiting Charun, but I'm only seeing 1 vote for accompaniment of Rainya and not Lirael, writing this but will check back in case anyone wants to add accompaniment to their vote.
>>
>>37590440
Shee is a rebel. Both fae and vampires control this world, rebeling against only one of them won't do anything, it won't change anything.

Sooner or later we will have to face the vampires as well. Getting inside and discovering what conspiracies they are plotting would have helped immensively.
>>
>>37590530
>, but I'm only seeing 1 vote for accompaniment of Rainya and not Lirael
I didn't include anything because I figured that Rainya should stay with Lirael.
I saw no point in choosing an "who comes with us" since both of them are still asleep.

>>37590189
>>37590230
adding
>Alone

>>
>>37590535
Our only ways in were Quin who would fuck us over, ash who has a gramps that would fuck us over, or Yonsul whose known and would get us nothing or worse fuck us over. Trying to save the dusters from the Fae hunt would have been safer.
>>
>>37590535
>Getting inside and discovering what conspiracies they are plotting would have helped immensively.
Under the assumption we could have actually managed to find out anything there, which was wildly unlikely as far as Shee could see.
The actual conspiracy was stuff that happened behind close doors between the Heads of the clans, Shee had no access to that in any way shape or form.
>>
>>37590535
Hopefully we might work something out with Kae in regards to spying on the vamps.

>>37590530
Alone
>>
>>37590530
I'd like to add leaving a note for Lirael and Rainya telling them where we've gone and that we'll be back soon in case they wake up before we return.
>>
>>37590535
Do you still not realise that they are plotting against the fae?
Besides, getting on the party wouldn't have accomplished anything. Actualkly finding anything out, would have required us to spy on the closed meeting, which we had no contact to.
>>
After Lirael and Rainya wake up and you all take a quick wash in the pail of water, Lirael complains about not having a real bathroom and you prepare to go out for breakfast. As you do so Lirael gives you a needy look “Go on” you say to Rainya, “We’ll be out soon”

“Not very soon” insists Lirael, tugging you towards the bed.
---
Indeed, by the time Lirael is satisfied, breakfast is long over for most people, the two of you grab a bowl of porridge each and you shovel it down whilst trying to plan your conversation with Charun.

You see Lirael to school and Rainya to her temporary work helping the other duster women and then you head out to find Charun.

You catch up with Charun in his shed, he lets you in and then takes a seat on a box next to his truck, he looks rough, tired, sick maybe?

“What happened to you?” you ask.

Charun shakes his head “late night” he says “too much cheap booze, not as young as I was, meant to come and find you and the others, got a new mission.”

“Before that” you say “I think we need to discuss a few things.”

“Such as?” says Charun, giving you a suffering look.

“Such as I9” you say “Such as Serec, such as the truth about my parents.”

“I9 is a rebel psychic training program” says Charun “Serec are these horrible monster things that attack whole worlds and lots a people who survive fighting them develop psychic powers, and so do their kids, mutations too” he spits “damn things, it’s like psychic powers are a disease they want to spread, no offense” he adds belatedly.

“And my parents?” you ask

“Not much to tell” he says, looking shifty “both rebels, both lost fighting the fae, you da was a real strong follower of the King, damn shame what happened to them.”

“That’s it?” you ask.

“That’s it” he confirms

Is that it?

>Fine, tell me about the mission, then I’m gone
>Tell me more about I9
>Tell me more about the Serec
>Tell me more about my parents

>>
>>37590588
Too many assumptions from your side as well. No such plot hook would be offered if there was nothing to gain from it.
>>37590624
If they are plotting against the Fae, then knowing it would be even better. Would let us have opportunities to use them for the rebellion's advantage. Now we will be stuck with blind guesses, if we even have any involvement with it anymore.

And,again, no plot hook is offered without anything to be gained from it. You make pally a disservice.

Shee doesn't know anything about "plot hooks" guaranteeing her to find something out.
I'm talking about motivation of the character, I as aplayer, would have liked going there with Yonsul, but the simple fact was the sory didn't give a me any reason why Shee would want that.

She was told that the vampires also ruled and that if they stayed then nothing would change. I think it was Charun who said that, but I don't remember which thread that was.
>>
>>37590703
>>Tell me more about the Serec

There was some weird shit when we were poking around the facility down there, someone killed, and Lirael ended almost freaking out, mentioning the Serec.

It looked almost human down there. When we bugged out, saw a glimpse of something, face looked human.
>>
>>37590703

>Too many assumptions from your side as well.
Except there were no assumptions in his post? The part about it being behind closed doors is a fact we know. Everything about possible ways of getting entry anyway would be an assumptiom.
>>
>>37590772
This sounds reasonable. Supporting
>>
>>37590787
>She was told that the vampires also ruled and that if they stayed then nothing would change.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with Shee having a reason to walk into what could be a veritable death trap for her?
Nothing she knows about this meeting indicates to her it would help her in getting rid of them.

I don't think we've actually given him the weapons to sell yet, though?

I hope we haven't, at any rate. Need to get like 12 or so heavy plasma pistols.
>>
“Tell me more about the Serec” you say “I saw....something in the facility that looked like a monster with a human face.”

“Wrecked” says Charun.

“Excuse me?” you ask

“Serec are big bug monsters” Charun waves his hands “From a long way away, like another galaxy, so I’m told. They came here to I dunno, eat everyone. They all have psychic powers, some stronger than others, they attack in swarms, lots of little ones controlled by a few big ones. Those that fight them and survive, some of them anyway, develop psychic powers, and maybe their kids do. Wrecked are like, children of psychics with mutations, they look a bit human, a bit Serec.”

He continues “Serec have one big mind that controls them all, sometimes it draws weak or unlucky psychics into it and controls them too, just like they were Serec.”

“What was one doing in the facility?” you ask

“Scouting maybe” says Charun “They can sense other psychics, are drawn to them, hell I understand the I9 program has a bunch of kids they’re teaching to call Serec in and control them somehow, risky business.”

“So they’ll keep coming after me?” you ask.

“Maybe yeah” says Charun “If you kill enough, the top mind will get the hint and avoid you.”

“You could have told me” you say “You could have warned me.”

“They might not have come” says Charun “Now, about the mission. There’s a group of young fae nobles planning on taking off out into the desert for some damn fool reason or other, a party maybe. We’re going to attack, capture as many as we can, kill those we can’t.”

“Noble fae” you say “Aren’t they y’know, powerful? And have bodyguards?”

“Young ones” says Charun “a half-dozen or so, maybe one or two as tough as a Gifted, and they’ll be giving the guards the slip themselves.”

“Still” you say, “sounds dangerous.”

“That’s why we have you” says Charun “And the warmech.”
>>
“When?” you ask

“Three days?” says Charun “Yeah, I know, short notice, but I only found out last night.”

It truthfully seems like a random killing, to eliminate just a few young punks.

Going to be a good way to get a lot of us killed, even if we succeed without much real gain.

Just seems to 'strike a blow' just to strike a blow. I don't see how it will accomplish much.

Every time we take a risk, it needs to move closer to the end goal of overthrowing the fae, or at the very least improve the plight of the people in the least.

Killing some young fae, does not seem to be a great return on the risk.

I can also see that leading to a retailiation purge of the Dusters too.

Charuns eye widens a little “Huh, and which drunk told you that?”

Charun rubs his chin “All sorts of rumours about the desert girl” he says “The desert will swallow you, its alive, stuff like that. It being a fae ain’t completely crazy I guess” he’s humouring you.

Maybe go shopping with Rainya again to get some clothes for our night out, if hers are damaged or something.
>>
You head out and collect Lirael and Rainya from school and work respectively.

“I thought I was going to school today” says Lirael.

“Plans change” you tell her “besides, I promised you a day in the Hive didn’t I?”

“Awright!” says Lirael, dashing off ahead of the two of you to the bus stop “Let’s do this!”

By your side Rainya asks “Are you sure this is a good idea Shee?”

“I want a day off rather than fighting psychic monsters” you say “besides, tonight I’ve got to deal with a vampire that wants to get into my veins, my head or my pants, or some combination of the above, lets just have some fun ok?”

“Sure” says Rainya as the two of you head to the stop.

The three of you hit the clothes shops first and Lirael starts by putting together the most bizarre and clashing outfits. With a little help from you and Rainya however, she learns to tone it down a bit. You happily spend a little money on Lirael and Rainya, after all, Charun will soon be selling some of the weapons you promised him.

After you’ve spent several hours clothes shopping the three of you grab a bite to eat in a cafe whilst discussing your next move.

“Aw c’mon!” says Lirael “Space battles are boooring, I wanna go to the zoo!”

“I’ve hardly seen any holomovies” says Rainya, pointing to an ad for a holomovie that’s playing this afternoon “The Fall Of Altex VII sounds kinda fun.”

“Zap, pow, it’s done” says Lirael “There’s your space battle, but animals are interesting, Shee can we go to the zoo?”

“Why not both?” you say

“What?” ask Rainya and Lirael

“We’ll go to the zoo first” you explain “And then the movie.”

“Won’t you need to go out for the evening though?” says Rainya

“I’ll manage” you say “We’ll just have to move fast ok.”

“Yes!” says Lirael, poking at a brochure “Look Shee, they have a three-headed Kathlasaur, can we go see it?”

“I have no idea what that is” you say “So yeah, lets go.”

The three of you spend the next several hours wandering around a zoo, seeing all sorts of familiar, and unfamiliar beasts. Lirael rushes from one exhibit to the next, before staring at the animals therein for several moments, and then rushing to the next one. You and Rainya struggle to keep up with her.

Lirael knows the names of all sorts of creatures and tells you about them, the planets they come from, and interesting facts about them.

Eventually however the time at the zoo comes to an end and you leave, with Lirael dragging her feet and looking back wistfully.

The holomovie theatre is mostly empty and you, Lirael and Rainya get a whole row of seats to yourselves as you watch the show. It’s a familiar war story: impossible odds, an improbable victory, a barely plausible romance subplot and Lirael quietly criticises the performance of the spacecraft as unrealistic, but Rainya seems to love it, staring at the screen in silence throughout.

As you leave she pesters Lirael with questions.

“So people don’t just die in space?” she asks “I mean, the pilot Zevran, he-”

“No they don’t” says Lirael “Holomovie writers are dumb, you need air in space, you don’t just pop.”

“And those robot fighters” says Rainya “The Redeyes, they don’t talk?”

Lirael snorts “No” she says “What would they say? They’re just dumb bots.”

You head back to the bus stop as Lirael tries to educate Rainya about spaceships, as you get there, Lirael realises something.

“Rainya is going with you tonight isn’t she?” she asks.
>>
“I will if you want me to” says Rainya, looking to you.

“Why not me?” asks Lirael “If Rainya is going?”

“I’m doing this alone” you tell Rainya and Lirael, as they both open their mouths to object you say “Rainya, tonight I’m going to deal with vampires who can read minds, until we can protect you from that, you’ll be in danger.” Rainya nods reluctantly.

To Lirael you say “Some of these vampires might be able to pierce your illusion, I don’t want you in danger because of that.”

“But Shee!” complains Lirael “I don’t want you hurt either” she hugs you hard “I’ll be fine” you tell Lirael “Look after Rainya would you?” you wink at Rainya.

“She’ll be safe with me” promises Lirael, you watch the two of them get on the bus, you changed into your evening outfit in the restrooms of the movie theatre, and now you’re ready to go. With the days activities over, you head out to meet Kae at Club Masakia as planned.

Club Masakia is in a lower hive level and the doormen are visibly armed. Inside however it appears up-market: expensive furniture and the drinks are exotic and twice the price as in some other clubs. The place is packed with locals, many in strange fashions bordering on costumes. Rooms in the club have different styles of music playing and bizarre decorating themes. You feel less like you’re in a club and more like you’ve ended up in another world, or maybe a dream. As you go in deeper, it gets strange.

All around you strange beasts growl and gibber, just people in masks you reassure yourself. Demons and monsters dance and cavort, a wing brushes your shoulder, a tail flicks against your leg as you walk past a scantily clad male demon with huge horns and an animal-like musk coming from him.

Then you see Kae over at a table by herself, you head over “What is this place?” You ask loudly, trying to be heard over the beat of the music.

“Isn’t it great!” says Kae, getting up to hug you “Shee, I’m so glad you came.”
>>
“It’s certainly something” You say, hugging her back.

“Yeah!” says Kae “Just the right place to tell Quinn to go fuck himself! He should be here in a half-hour or so.”

Yeah, about that....

What do you say to Kae

“Actually” you say “I need you to hold off on that...” you explain about the deal between the elder Crimsonthorne and (you think) Sergeant Yonsuls superiors.

“Ah” says Kae, looking thoughtful “Yes, that explains a lot of his behaviour, ok, I’ll act as though nothing is wrong, for now” Kae says to you “but what if he tries something with you, what should I do then?”

“I’ll handle it” you say with more confidence than you actually feel.

You and Kae chat for a bit, and then Quinn and his crew turn up, including Ash...

“Ah Shee” says Quinn, “So nice to see you again” he gives you a little wave, but keeps his distance as everyone crowds in around the table around you, you’re sandwiched between Kae and one of Quinns buddies, Betram you think his name was.

“So what’s the plan?” Quinn asks Kae “Dancing first, or dinner.” You realise you haven’t eaten since lunch, and you are quite hungry.

“Dinner” says Kae and you all order something to eat after talking over the menu. Quinn and his buddies seem almost...normal. OF course they’re probably supposed to be on their best behaviour. Only Ash seems weird, sitting across the table from you he avoids meeting your gaze.

Everyone makes small talk over food and then as a group you head to the dance floor, keeping close to Kae, and watching out for wandering hands.

You group starts to get into the beat of the music, looking positively mundane compared to the fantastical costumes around you.

You’ve only been dancing for a half-hour before you feel hot breath on the back of your neck, and Quinn saying in your ear “We need to talk, you and I, privately.”

“Why not here?” you ask, looking over your shoulder “Seems the music gives us privacy anyway.”
>>
“You know why” says Quinn, nodding to Kae “And you know there’s a truce right? But we still need to talk, over there.” He points to a corner of the room with few people in it, but still visible from where you are dancing.

How do you respond?

>We can talk here

“Fine” you say, following Quinn to the corner but keeping Kae in sight “What?” you ask when you get there.

Quinn sticks his hands in his pockets and looks away “I have been instructed” he says, sounding like his teeth are being pulled out “To apologise for my behaviour and to tell you that I will not be doing anything to sabotage your mission.”

“Gee” you say, folding your arms and leaning against the wall “I am just feeling the love rolling off you Quinn.”

Quinn glares at you “Suck my dick blood bag” he snarls “I have my orders, just like you do, and I’ll follow them, I know the price of not doing so.”

“Oh gee” you say “And I thought we could be best buddies.”

Quinn gives you a scathing look “You don’t know a goddamn thing” he says.

“Try me” you say, wondering what else you can provoke out of him, any useful hints about his orders for example.

Quinn gives you an arrogant look “You wouldn’t understand and that’s all I needed to say” he says “Now lets just get back to our missions.”

“What wouldn’t I understand Quinn?” you ask “I mean, I’m just a dumb blood bag right? You won’t get into trouble by telling me.”

“There’s plans” says Quinn “Plans that will change everything for you dusters, and you won’t even see it coming.”

“Oooh mysterious” you say “I’m scared.”

“Not yet” he says, a smug look in his eyes “But you will be.”

“So terrify me” you say, leaning in to him “Make me tremble with fear, what do you know?”

Quinn opens his mouth to speak and then thinks better of it, he looks down, then up at you again “That’s not free” he says slyly “I want something first.”

“Like what?” you say, sceptical.

“Oh just something for a friend” his says, looking over at Kae, who is dancing with Ash. Or is he looking at Ash?

“What is going on with you and Ash?” you ask “Because, I gotta say, I’m not sure what your game is.”

Quinn gives you a lazy grin “Ash and I” he says “We’ve come to an agreement” he pokes a finger at you but stops short of touching you “Ash can be quite agreeable with a little persuasion, a little blood, a night in bed together, and your whole story came tumbling out, it gave me a great insight into Ash, and into you as well.”

“You wish” you snort, so he and Ash are actually....?

“Oh yes” says Quinn confidently “Ash...well Ash is simple, his father is distant, his mother never wanted him, so Ash just wants a little love and he’ll do anything I want him too, but you” he says “You are Ashs one sticking point, the one thing he resists me over, so if I take you away, then he’s mine. You asked what I want, I want this: Break up with Ash.”

Break up, but “But we’re not even together now” you say “I mean, not that we were before I mean.”

Quinn looks at you carefully “Huh” he says “I think you’re right, but Ash doesn’t think that, he’s still pining away for you.”

“He is a friend” you say “I wouldn’t want to see him hurt.”
>>
“Right” says Quinn, drawing the word out “Anyway, here’s my offer: You make clear to Ash that he won’t be biting you ever again, and that he never has a chance at fucking you, and I’ll tell you” his voice drops to a whisper “I’ll tell you exactly why the elders want Kae watched.”

You snort “I know why” you say “She could disrupt a bunch of their schemes.”

“But one in particular they’re worried about” says Quinn, watching you closely “One very particular one.”

No. How dare you like things.

You look up at Quinn “Deal” you say. You can explain to Ash afterwards what’s really going on.

“Really?” he says “That easy huh?”

“Sure” you say “I wish Ash well, but I’m not planning on him biting me again, or ever sleeping with him, so if that’s all you want, I have no issue with it.”

Quinn gives you a searching look and then says “Alright, if you’re going to do this, prove it: you need to tell him first, before I tell you anything.”

“Hah no” you say “you could just refuse to tell me anything.”

“Just as you could afterwards tell Ash it was a mistake” retorts Quinn “I need to see Ash storm out of the club for the night before I tell you anything.”

Well, having Ash out of the way could help if things get unpleasant.

What do you do?

>Tell Ash what’s going on, ask him to storm out
>Bluff Ash, make him think you’re really *breaking up* (you’ll tell him the truth later)
>Other (what?)

No need to rely on his actor talent here, and Quinn is a vampire, he got bullshit perception.
And mind-powers.
>>

He's fucking the guy that tried to rape Shee, he can deal with his hurt feels for the night.

It wouldn't have meant losing Ash at all, why can't you get that into your heads, have you never been friends with a women who wouldn't let you fuck her?

No!
I might not have a high opinion of the whimp, but he is certainly better than that.

>>37596262
It was not from the Betrayal domain.
It was not a betrayal.
>>
>>37596284
It's pretty clearly a betrayal. It was a committment to give up on Ash and leave him to the predations of Quinn.

How would that mean "losing him"?

Quin wanted us too leave him so he could have him totally dependent on him. How long till he twists Ash into a monster either figurative or literal?

We've ignored him while we promised to stay in touch. Quinn is trying to basically own him we are the only thing keeping him fro breaking.
>>
>>37596449
Because anons on /tg/ are by and large absolute social retards and have no idea how actual human interaction works. For them the husbadno/waifu is the only from of social connection people can form.
They can't really comprehend normal friendship.

Quinn never asked us to leave him, stop makignt hat shit up anon, it doesn't make your argument look better.

I don't know why you bothered to add romantically. Are you actually serious? Picture someone saying this to someone else IRL. Real people. You seriously think one of them won't be hurt? Get the fuck out of your moms basement sometime.
>>
>>37596525
>I don't know why you bothered to add romantically.
Because that is exactly what it was about? All Quinn asked was for Shee to tell Ash she won't have a romantic relationship with him.
That was the point.
He didn't ask us to stop being friends.
Didn't ask us to stop seeing eachother.
All he asked was to tell Ash that Shee won't have sex with him or feed him.
>>

>Do you really think that he won't bend ash to his will after that?
Ash hangs out with him after he tried to rape Shee.
I somehow don't give a shit.

I seriously hope you people don't mistake the people who voted for lying all doing so for Ashs sake.
>>
>>37596646
>Ash hangs out with him after he tried to rape Shee.
Citation needed.
>>
You head over to Ash as he dances, this time with one of the vampire girls, Macy you think her name is.

“Ash” you say, pulling him from the dance floor “Ash I need to talk to you.”

“What?” he says over the noise of the music “What did you need to talk to me about”

“I’ve been talking to Quinn” you say “He said you’re still carrying a torch for me.”

“Shee, I-” starts Ah, you put a finger to his lips, silencing him “Ash” you say “It was never going to work between us, not blood, not sex, there’s nothing like that, I still want to be your friend Ash I still care about y-” You cut off as Ash shoves past you, heading for Quinn, his face a mixture of pain, and anger. You head after him but the rest of the dancers get in your way.

You can see Ash yelling at Quinn, Quinn seems to be trying to calm Ash down. By the time you get there, it’s all over, Ash is headed for the door, shoving people out of his way, and Quinn has a self-satisfied smile on his face.

“Well done” says Quinn “I could almost believe you’re not just a human after all.”

“Just tell me the secret” you say, your voice rough, although it wasn’t real, seeing the pain on Ashs face wasn’t fun.

“You earned it” says Quinn, leaning in and whispering it in your ear.

“No” you say, jerking back “That’s impossible, not even the fae would-”

“Oh they would” says Quinn with a smirk “Imagine: thousands of your duster friends farmed like animals, soon all the dusters will have to belong to a vampire or a fae, be a dream feeder, or a blood whore” he says “I wonder which you’ll choose, if you’re nice to me I might stake a claim right now.” Quinn leans in, as you lean back, feeling like you should hit him. No way are they going to make all the dusters slaves, no worse than slaves, food. Kae would know, she wouldn’t need to spy, she’d know, and she’d have told you. Quinn must be lying, he must be lying.
>>
You take a breath to tell him what you think, and then a heavy hand claps on your shoulder, you turn to see a member of club security there.

“You need to come with me miss” rumbles the guard “now” he starts pulling you away from Quinn.

What do you do?

It should make you pretty damn angry though.
>>
You let the security guard lead you away, as you walk past the mass of dancers you try to catch Kae’s eye, but you don’t know if she saw you or not. You guard leads you through a door marked *staff-only* and up a flight of stairs.

“Where are we going?” you ask.

“Boss wants to see you” says the guard, and ignores any other questions you ask.

You’re taken to a wooden door marked *Managers Office* and the guard thrusts you through, closing the door behind you.

You see a luxurious office with a young man lounging in an expensive chair, he gets up and smiles at you “How nice to finally meet you” he says.

“Who are you?” you ask.

“Ah of course, how rude of me” he says, he...blurs, and where there was a young man, there is now an 8ft-tall hulking demon.

“I’m Garrax” growls the demon, “And we, are finally Reunited.”

Plans within plans, within plans.

Some side is manipulating things.
>>
>>37597238
Of course, being forced to hang around someone unpleasant because of the consequences of telling him to fuck off are too great is completely a failure on the part of the oppressed, and they deserve to be shunned for it. It's their fault for not being born rich and powerful.

No, but these guys are just so wrong I can't resist. It's a moral imperative.

Various factions playing against each other, not one single entity doing everything.

>>37597220
Start blinking.

Boost Agility with Enhance Ability first round for defence and toHit bonuses.

Give as many Tentacles as possible ranged weapons.

Tentacles that we don't have ranged weapons for get mechanized weaponry and lash out if he gets near before blinking away or focus on taking out nearby mooks.

Maintain distance, shoot him a lot.

I might refine the plan, that's just first instinct.

>>37597298
You know how a previous anon mentioned that the Fae would need a big event to kick off their enslave dusters plan?

Remember how we're going to go kill a bunch of Fae brats in a few days?

Yeah.
>>
>>37597333
>It's their fault for not being born rich and powerful.
Dude, he is literally born rich and powerful.
He isn't some scrawny boy from a middle-class family. He is just as much upper class rich boy as Quinn. He is okay with Quinn. He literally told us that.
>>
>>37597369
Quinn's family is the top dog. They're the Alpha, ash's family are not.

>>37597353

Pretty much my thought, I had hoped we would get to chat with Kae before then.
To get her to keep these fae brats away.

>>37597433
Uhm, anon. You might want to read the story again.

>>37597369

Yeah Ash needs a serious courage infusion. He is lower upper class, he just has a serious self confidence problem. We were taken away from him when he was younger, and he latched onto Quinn in search of friends.

>>37597353
>Remember how we're going to go kill a bunch of Fae brats in a few days?

I was arguing against the mission because I felt it was the type of thing that would naturally set up a purge.

Of course, enslavement is the same thing.

They purge the strong willed ones, enslave the rest
>>
>>37597353
So in other words warn Kae and Charun about this.

>>37597369
No, Quin's family is above Ash's so he has to play nice. the fact he has no self-esteem because his parents shat on him doesn't help. After we got exiled he had no freinds and glomped the first person that wasn't a total asshole to him.
>>
>>37597483
>No, Quin's family is above Ash's so he has to play nice.
Thats at this point baseless speculation.
Nothing sofar suggests Ash had to hang out with Quinn at any point.
He became his friend on his own as far as we know, and Ash has never contradicted that.
>>
>>37597475
Quote it then. I remember him saying Quinn's family was much older and more influential than his. I also remember him saying Quinn was nasty, but ok to his friends, with it being heavily implied that that was the only reason he hung around Quinn.

Is exactly the prove for it not to be the reason.
Ashley chooses to hang out with Quinn because he is "okay to his friends", completly ignoring what a complete asshole he otherwise is.

Leafing through the rules, I think the best way to improve our DPS on short notice, if people want to, would be Storm of Fire.

It'd let us make 3 ranged attacks, each at -3 (Still a +8 total), each round. That would be 18d6 plasma damage, before counting the tentacles attacking.

It'd also give us Rapid Shot 2, which can be used in conjunction with it for a further +27 plasma damage and could be used by the tentacles with ranged weapons for even more damage.

Oh, also, I keep forgetting to mention it, the Crown of Flames was updated again, a while ago.

>You can summon forth a crown of green flickering flames at will, when using this you add you your rank in this power to any check that involves commanding or leading people as well as to all mind-affecting or influencing powers you use

It affects mind-affecting/influencing powers again.
>>
>>37598228
Sounds good to me.
>>
>>37598228
Oh, and the number of ranged attacks we can make with it each round would increase as a result of using Enhance Ability on Agility as per my previously posted plan.
>>
>>37598228
Too much crunch.

I can barely remember what powers/feats we have at this point.
>>
>>37598465
Seconding.
>>
>>37598465
I'm not seeing what's complex about it?

We use a heavy plasma rifle from our Dimensional Arsenal with Rapid Shot 2 and Storm of Fire to launch three basic ranged attacks at him in a single round, more if we boost our Agility modifier.

Each of those attack deals 6d6+9 plasma damage.

Tentacles can also benefit from this with the ranged weapons they'd be wielding.

These ranged attacks can each strike a second target within five feet of him as well, but that's not the main point.
>>
>>37598690
I mean in general, about the whole quest.

PoJ had the same problem and we used only a few bunch, didn't we?
