You are Shee Hyul, rebel and psychic. Your world is ruled by inhuman creatures and this has gone on far too long, it’s time to fight back.

You are kneeling on the floor in the hive out in the road where anyone can see you, except there’s no one here but you and Kae. Chains bind your arms behind your back and a collar forces your head up to meet her gaze whilst your feet are likewise chained. The chains are the only things you are wearing, however orbiting you is...all of the objects you have stored in your Dimensional Arsenal.

“Kae” you start “I wanted to talk to y-”

“Silence!” she thunders. Kae has grown to six metres in height and towers over you. She is wearing an outfit that appears to be part formal gown, part armour, around her head a circlet of metal fires off lightning bolts in all directions. Her voice is so loud it shakes the buildings around you.

“You will show me the truth!” she states, pointing an accusatory finger at you “This is how it’s going to work: I’ll ask the questions and you will draw forth from your mind the truth of the matter, if you refuse then I’ll simply rip the answers from your mind.”

“That’s unfair!” you protest “I invited you to read my mind to find out the truth and this is how you-”

“I decided to give you one last chance!” thunders Kae “I should have just killed you when you attacked my friend but I was merciful instead, now you get a chance to explain yourself, but speak quickly, I have little patience, *demon worshipper*.”
>>
You realise you need to handle this carefully, and given how angry Kae seems shell probably interrupt you if you try to say too much at once.

You could explain how much of an asshole Quinn is, or explain how you have little choice now in the gods you follow, or say how you were ordered to spy on her bur declined, or say how you just want to be her friends, or you could simply let her see everything about you, though that last one could be risky.

What do you do?

>Tell her the truth about Quinn
>I follow the Five because I have to (reveals you are one of the Reunited)
>I refused to spy on you
>I just want to be your friend
>See everything about me
>Take control of your dream
>Other (what?)

Please pick only 1. Picking multiple options or a long write-in is not advised.

Thanks to Autism Anons hard work you have 10 extra XP. This has been added to the character sheet.

“I was ordered to spy on you” you gasp out around the collar that tightens as you speak “I refused to do so, I lied in order to get away but I never intended to spy on you.”

Kae pauses “What?” she asks “You were asked to spy on me....why?”

“Because of who you are” you explain “there’s a lot of people worried about what you’ll do, what you’ll find out about, I was told to get close to you and find out your plans, but I lied and never planned to betray you.”

Kae shrinks down until she is her normal size and stares you in the eyes “Show me” she says “remember what happened.”

Around you both the world changes and you are still chained, and kneeling but in front of you is...you, talking to sergeant Yonsul, agreeing reluctantly to get close to Kae if the opportunity arose, and then other conversations with the sergeant, other encounters, Kae lingers over the unexpected kiss the sergeant and you shared for several moments before moving on. Her expression never changes from one of annoyance.

Finally she turns away from the swirling images, a snarl on her face, you hear her muttering to herself “Even here, even now it still follows, of course it does, time and time again I am walking the damn sands.” She turns to you and says, a little grudgingly “It seems in this at least, you can be trusted, a little. But you’re still a demon-worshipper who attacked my friend.”

How do you respond?

Guy what is telling her about quinn going to do? We've told her about him like 3 times before and besides that, he seems pretty chill the last 2 times that we met, the last time iirc he even stopped kae from choking us out
>>
>>37570144
>the last time iirc he even stopped kae from choking us out
What are you talking about?
The last time we met Quinn we blasted his brain with terror.
And we only told her about him exactly 1.
>>
>>37570144
If she sees that Quin is a murderous/rapist wanna be and keeps this shit up she's a lost cause.
>>
>>37570144
>he seems pretty chill the last 2 times that we met, the last time iirc he even stopped kae from choking us out
I..what?
Do you read some bizarro version of this Quest?
>>
>>37570168
She did see that though. She was standing right there when it happened.
>>
>>37570144
The last time we met Quinn he threatened to brutally gangrape us.

>>37570210
She was only there for him grabbing Shees arm roughly, and he played it off as a joke. She wasn't there for the majority of that conversation.
>>
>>37570144
Are we even reading the same quest?
>>
>>37570185
I guess I recalled wrong, but what I meant was when he said that he just wanted to talk to us and then brain blasted him, then when we met kae again at the bar and she mentioned how Quin said how we got our "demon powers", seems like he was trying to cover for us. I guess I miss remembered that part like he was there.
>>
>>37570246
Oh damn, you know what I don't think I am. I thought this was Psycho rebel quest, my bad.
>>
>>37570251
>seems like he was trying to cover for us
Considering our last two encounters and his personality sofar, it was far more likely than not an attempt to harm us.
While its possible he got ordered by someone to leave us alone, its not exactly something I would rely on.
>>
“Quinn is an asshole” you say, Kae glares at you but you continue “he attacked me, tried to feed on me without my permission and spent most of the ride in the cop car telling me in detail about what he and his friends would do to me, he’s scum!”

“You’re wrong!” says Kae, growing once more to tower over you “Quinn is smart and sweet and funny and would never do that.”

You twist in your chains, how can she be so blind “You were there!” you say “You saw him grab me!”

“He was joking” says Kae “Quinn fools around but he’s not serious about it.”

“He almost pulled my arm off!” you say, ok you might be exaggerating there a little “didn’t you see him attack me?”

“I saw him holding you” counters Kae “But you probably attacked him”

“What?” you say, utterly confused.

Once again the world around you twists and melts and you and Kae are watching that night not so long ago.

You watch yourself tell Quinn you need to go.

“Nice to see you again Quinn” the other you says , the tone leaving no doubt that’s a lie “But we’re going, We’ve gotta see this young lady home.” You turn to Kae-

Kae isn’t looking at you, her eyes are glassy and her face is turned away, in the direction the chained man with long grey hair will come from, as if she can sense him before he’s coming.

The scene freezes and you see Quinn taking in you turning away from him, and the two of you in Kae’s blindspot, as if he’s been waiting for it he suddenly strikes, grabbing you. By the time Kae turns back, ready to flee, you and Quinn are face to face and you’re looking like you’re ready to kill him. Kae only spares you a brief glance before running away.

“I didn’t see” says Kae at your side, watching the scene “But why, why would he attack you?” She turns to you, the real you and says accusingly “You must have done something to provoke him, led him on or teased him or something.”
>>
“You’re blaming me now?” you ask, incredulous “I barely knew him before that night, I only know him as a friend of Ash’s that Ash warned me to stay away from.”

“Then maybe Ash was his lover” says Kae “And he wanted to warn you off, why else would he attack you?” Kae is speaking slower, and no longer seems as angry, she splits her attention between you and looking away, as if she’s thinking about something.

You’ve been wondering why Ash would stick around Quinn if he knew Quinn was an asshole, and why Quinn would really have a reason to hate you, could it be...are he and Ash...

How do you respond?

>Show Kae what Quinn was like in the car ride

Not really, it was pretty in-character for Shee to do it in that moment, it hardly stretches imagination to think that she was actually scared of Quinn invading her mind and reacted accordingly. Nothing odd about that option.

“No matter how nice Quinn may pretend to be around you” you say “he’s shown what he’s truly like – how about you see what happened afterwards.” You focus and a misty, insubstantial scene of you and Quinn in the car appears in front of you. You feel something, (is it Kae?) bolstering your recreation of that night and the scene swims into focus.

You watch grimly as again Quinn details his plans for him and his friends to each feed off you and rape you in turn. At your side Kae is shaking her head “No, no that didn’t happen” she says “You’re making this up!”

“It did happen” you insist “do you think this memory is false? Do you think I could deceive you, here?”

Something at the back of your mind is trying to get your attention, something about the last scene Kae showed you....

“I...” Kae falters “But Quinn’s so nice....”

“What makes you so sure?” you say “You were ready to...” you pause.

“I was ready to what?” says Kae

“When Quinn grabbed me” you say “show that again.”

Kae gives you a funny look but obliges, as Quinn grabs you, you say “There!”

“There what?” says Kae, clearly not seeing it.

“You weren’t looking away confused” you say “You glared at Quinn like you were going to hit him!”

“I what, no I didn’t” says Kae “I felt the approach of the Soulless and I was worried.”

In the scene in front of you there are two Kae’s, one looking away from you and Quinn, and one with a fierce expression on her face, stepping forward to intervene.

“That’s...wrong” says Kae, frowning at the two version of herself “Your memory has been tampered with, I’m sure.”

“Mine” you say “Or maybe yours? Why are you so convinced Quinn is a good guy huh?”

Kae is momentarily lost for words, her eyes unfocused as she thinks about this.

Kae stares at the scene, then looks away, then stares at it again. You remain silent. Kae has to figure this out for hers-

“Quinn” says Kae slowly “Is too young a vampire to get past my defences, but his great grandsire...isn’t” Kae’s face switches through expressions quickly, outrage, anger, fear, and back to anger “Crimsonthorne and I” she says clearly “Are going to have a little talk.”

Kae turns back to you “It seems” she says “That I owe you an apology, Quinn has deceived us both, I am sorry I didn’t listen, I should have realised what he is.”

“It wasn’t your fault” you say “If someone was tampering with your mind they could have made you believe anything.”

“Perhaps” says Kae “still, it was my responsibility to ensure that doesn’t happen.”

The chains fall away and you are dressed in your everyday clothes. Kae and you are the same size and Kae bows to you formally “I apologise for my error Shee Hyul, will you forgive me?”

“Sure” you say “I forgive you, as long as you promise to trust me when I say that I want to be your friend. Because this next bit is going to be difficult to explain.”

“Oh?” says Kae “The demon power thing?”

“The demon-power thing” you say “But first, I mean, isn’t talking to Quinns grandfather or whatever going to be dangerous? I mean, he did get in your head once already, aren’t you worried he might do it again?”

Kae gives you a very self-assured look “Only because I didn’t expect him to try something so...rude” she says “I’ll be on my guard, I won’t be caught so easily again.”

Well ok....if she’s sure....

“And Quinn?” you ask “What’s going to happen to him?”

Kae looks pensive “I still need to find out how much he knows” she says “Is he just a tool of his grandfather? Did he know Crimsonthorne was messing with my head? Now I see what he is I’m curious to see why he is that way.”

“You know your own abilities best” you say “Just, be careful ok? I wouldn’t want Quinns grandfather messing with your head again.”

Kae nods “I will” she says “I’ll be on my guard around him.”

“As for Quinn” you say, “I think he is supposed to spy on you on behalf of someone else.”

“Probably his grandfather” interjects Kae

“Let him explain himself or read his mind” you say “If you really want to know, otherwise ignore him.”

“I could” says Kae “but if I tip him off that I’m onto him, then I won’t know who their spy is, if he really is spying on me for someone else, I need to keep him close to feed him false information.”

Well, that kinda makes sense, you guess...

“The problem” says Kae “Is that if I confront him, he’ll just lie.”

You gesture around you “you can do this to him? Get inside his dreams? Find out the truth that way?”

“I could” says Kae “His own powers of command are not inconsiderable however, and he might be able to force me out, plus it would be pretty obvious what I was doing once in there, I’d find the truth, but it would tip him off.”

“Can’t you just read his mind?” you ask “Or make him forget?”

Kae shakes her head “I can only get into peoples dreams, not their waking minds, and changing peoples memories can be...difficult.”

“I might be able to help” you say “I have...some abilities that can affect others minds.”

“Yes” says Kae, searching your face, her eyes narrowed, “about that....?”

>>
“I’m a psychic” you say to Kae “And I’m...uh...have you ever heard of the Reunited?”

“What are the Reunited?” asks Kae. Oh boy....

[One explanation later]

“So you’re saying” says Kae, striding around in the empty Hive street as she thinks “That you’re descended from not just one, but all of the Five, that you’re engaged in some sort of battle to the death with others like yourself and that you receive demonic powers and other gifts from them as some sort of reward for following each of their ideologies in this struggle?”

“That’s pretty much it, yeah” you say.

“That sounds crazy” says Kae “But I know you are telling the truth/”

“Believe me” you say “I know just how crazy it sounds.”

Kae is silent for a long time, unmoving, images flash around her. You see: A council of some sort, members are mostly fae but some are strange-looking monsters; the symbol of the syrnian faith above a massed army; endless sands stretching to the horizon; a bloody sword suspended above your head. Is this what Kae is thinking? Or maybe worried about?

Then she walks towards you and bows again “Once again I must ask for your forgiveness, I have misjudged you, hurt you and accused you of things you are innocent of. Please forgive me?”

How do you respond?

I like how asking for a favor doesn't even get points with Mirror because of howlittle it gets us compared to gaining her trust and admiration by not asking for one

I wonder...would that fit the King more or Baalzamon?
>>
In before we wake up with the Fae Inquisition on our ass for revealing that we're the antichrist
>>
>>37571741
King, probably. Its just a few steps away from getting her loyalty, I would think.
We could probably spin it towards Baazlamon if we abuse her trust by manipulating her for our purpose. Pretty sure the opportunity will come up for rebel business.
>>
>>37571736
Oh Dio, you are the best JoJo.
>>
>>37571767
Now we just need her to let us punch quinn for Jagantha favor.
>>
>>37571767
King's favor is too high for this to count and we aren't getting her loyalty in the way that the King would want, just the loyalty of a friend.

We'd only get Baalzamon if we manipulate or lie to her, and doing either of those things would be kinda dumb and risky for little benefit when we could just ask.
>>
>>37571791
I hope we get our opportunity for Jaggantha favor when we take care of that Grev guy.

Don't say that. There might be plot point based on manipulating Kae, for all we know.
>>
>>37571879
>There might be plot point based on manipulating Kae
There already is. We still don't know exactly what kind of info Yonsul wants.
Not to mention the rebel business.
So it has a good chance of coming up, we just need to figure out if we want to manipulate her and don't risk exposing our secrets further, or get her on our side and risk exposing our secrets.
>>
>>37571861
Let me be more direct.

It wouldn't work for the King. Spinning it for Baalzamon would be a risk that does not outweigh the gain and probably be classified as one of the lies that just gets us into trouble, which he doesn't give favor for.
>>
>>37571941
>It wouldn't work for the King.
It totally would, getting a noble fae to accept our leadership wouldn't please the King? You can bet it would.
> and probably be classified as one of the lies that just gets us into trouble, which he doesn't give favor for
Thats objectively wrong. He constantly offered favor for lies that had a serious chance of getting us into trouble.
And there is a certain value to keeping Kae in the dark and manipulating her, if we wanted to play Shee as that sort of person.
We haven't sofar, but things can change.
>>
>>37571941
I think you completly missed the point of that conversation.
It wasn't about who it gets us favor with, it was about in line whith whos portefolio getting her trust and admiration would be more.
Not everything we do that fits into one of their domains gets us favor all the time, and that wasn't the question.
Pursuing that line might get us favor at some point.
>>
>>37571974
>getting a noble fae to accept our leadership wouldn't please the King?
And gaining her loyalty through friendship is accepting our leadership? It's being a friend. Gaining the loyalty of one person, even a noble fae, might not count at this level. We're at 7 favor, it gets harder with each point to earn the next.

>He constantly offered favor for lies that had a serious chance of getting us into trouble.
And yet we received no favor for the lie about being a Champion to Jaze. His domains have undergone revision.

>And there is a certain value to keeping Kae in the dark and manipulating her
Also a much greater risk of it backfiring horribly.
>>
“Of course I forgive you” you say, a bit amused at how repetitive this is getting “I just want to know, why were you so angry about me being a demon-worshipper before?”

Kae freezes and then says uncomfortable “It’s a long story, and kinda personal.”

“I wouldn’t want to intrude” you say “It’s just that-”

Kae interrupts “I grew up surrounded by politics” she says, and the story comes pouring out “from a very early age I found I couldn’t trust other fae, couldn’t trust servants, everyone had an angle, an agenda. But one person was different” she reminisces “Her name was Alicia, she cared for me from a very young age, one of my fathers servants. She never asked for anything from me, never lied to me or used me, she was human, but she seemed to genuinely care for me. Despite her lowly status she was always willing to defend me against other fae, even defying my father upon occasion.”

Kae’s face clouds “Then four years ago” she says “I came home from a friends birthday party to be greeted by my father, who tells me Alicia has been killed, by demon-worshippers, sacrificed actually” her voice gets angry “So I’m going to find out who did it and tear them apart.”

“Are you sure it was-” You say, Kae cuts you off “very” she says “My father, like anyone, has his own agenda but he wouldn’t lie to me about this. I’ve argued for demon-worship and the Five to be outlawed: he says keeping it legal makes it easier to track.” She ends softly “We never found the ones who did it, though we searched, and still search, one day perhaps I’ll find them.”

Kae is silent for a time and then adds “I think you would have liked Alicia, she was a little like you.”

In the quiet that follows you say “Kae, some images danced around you, what did they mean?”
>>
>>37572023
>And gaining her loyalty through friendship is accepting our leadership?
No, and no one ver said it would. It might lead there hence why I said
>. Its just a few steps away from getting her loyalty
"A few steps away" meaning, it is working towards getting her to that point, it isn't there yet.
Please pay more attention to what people actually write and what conversations are about.

“What images?” asks Kae, looking guarded.

“A council of some sort” you say “mostly fae but some are strange-looking monsters mixed in; the syrnian symbol above a massed army; sands stretching to the horizon; a bloody sword.”

Kae looks troubled “Idle thoughts” she says “I was trying to figure out what you being...Reunited could mean.”

“What could it mean?” you ask

“Are you sure you want to know?” asks Kae “Some of this might be difficult for you, and I’m not sure if I should tell you this.”

“I need to know I think” you say “As for whether you should tell me...”

“You can trust me” you say “Tell me everything”

Kae gives you a wry smile “I know you’re telling the truth” she says “Lies here are easy to spot, but if we were having this talk in the real world, I’d just laugh at you.”

“Where to begin....” says Kae “Ok, the Court of Alium stands above the Kings of the worlds and is composed of Royal Fae and very powerful Noble Fae. I don’t believe they would be ignorant of what you are – not you specifically” she says “But that the Reunited where happening here. I wonder what their plans are? The Five are no allies to them? Why not send the Red Sword to hunt you all down? Why send the Geheganesh to this world instead?”

“Red Sword?” you say “Geheganesh?”

“The Red Sword is a hunter” she says, waving her hand dismissively “an assassin really, but he calls himself a hunter, if the Court wanted you and the others dead, they’d send him, But Geheganesh...”

“Yes?” you say “What is he?”

“Geheganesh is the endless sands” says Kae “it’s hard to describe, Geheganesh represents futility, an endless struggle you can’t win and are doomed to lose. He’s a fae so old that the saying *treading the sands* is about frustration and getting nowhere, why he’s here I don’t know, all I’d say is stay off the desert sands if you can avoid it.”

Charun did say the lands away from the cities are dangerous...

“And the Syrnians?” you ask “I mean, most Syrnians are ok, a little preachy when they find out you follow the Five but...”

Kae laughs, and laughs, doubling over and having trouble breathing.

“What?” you say “What’s so funny?”

“The Syrnians here” she says “have been cut off from the Church for so long they’ve forgotten what they are: The Syrnian Church hates all magic, all mystical powers and all magical creatures. They would see the Reunited as living blasphemies and would send an army to destroy this entire world if they knew.”

“That doesn’t sound like a laughing matter” you point out.
>>
“Not to you” says Kae, still giggling “But still, *syrnians are ok*” she continues to giggle.

The revenue from the club is pretty much negligible as benefit.
Its mainly beneficial because it gives us a place to hire our Duster allies in, so they can move into the Hive without arousing suspicion. We can order all kinds of material for it, we can go there if we should find ourselves in the Hive past curfew and it gives us a "in" with higher Hiver society.

“I wonder if you can tell me anything about the Gifted?” you say “I mean, I’ll probably run into them at some point.”

Kae gives you a sly look “Thinking of joining up?” she asks

“Not really” you say “Just worried about their powers.”

Kae smirks “Well from a certain point of view, their loyalty is their greatest asset – it’s magically bound into them so they can’t disobey a direct order, though they can interpret the command given, and some try to rebel anyway. As to their powers, ah the Gifted come from a variety of sources, some had magic or psychic or champion powers and they’ve just been recruited as-is. Others are ordinary folk granted powers, though after the Liberation of Salvia the Court put a ban on creating a true Imbued – too powerful, too risky, so the Gifted are a compromise, not enough power or free will to rebel, just tough enough to be useful. Their powers depend on the fae who made them, the more powerful they are the more unstable, most fae pick a purpose for their pawn and stick with it: guardian, spy, hunter and so on, some pick a theme such as an element. I can’t tell you what their powers will be, because they’re too varied.”

Kae pauses for thought, adding “But that’s all politics, and boring, I prefer having fun.”

“Like dancing” you say “I’d like to go dancing with you again, Kae, I had a great time”

“Yeah” says Kae wistfully “me too, away from all the politics and bullshit, how about two nights from now?”

“I think I can” you say “I’ll need to check” You can’t think of anything you have to do in that time, but who knows what could appen?

“Ok” says Kae “How about club Masakia? I heard there were three brawls there last week, sounds fun, right?”

“Delightful” you say dryly “I hate to ask this Kae but I might need something to report to sergeant Yonsul” you say “I mean I *am* supposed to be spying on you” you notice Kaes look “but nothing you don’t want to tell me” you assure her.
>>
Kae chews on her lower lip before saying “The Great Forges are being reopened”

“The what?” you ask

“Oh right” she says “I forgot you don’t know, this world is an industrial world.”

“I know” you say “The mines, the dust, everything-”

“No” interrupts Kae “Not just mining, manufacturing, building weapons of war, like the Great Machines, the Hunters, the Devastators, the Paladins. Huge walking war machines that can raze cities. The forges were sabotaged during the war and the King never saw fit to re-open them. But now...I think one was just outside Hive 39” she says.

Well, that would explain all the engineers being hired.

“Oh and!” says Kae excitedly, then screws up her face “No wait, that’s too risky, if you tell her that, she’d want you to infiltrate it.”

“It’s not too risky” you say “Tell me.”

“Well” says Kae, drawing out the word “There’s a big conference of all the heads of the vampire clans in a week or so, a big social event, all the vamps of any importance will be there, a big dinner and entertainment and stuff, but it’s a front, the heads of the clans just need an excuse to get together and reach a deal.”

“A deal on what?” you ask

“I don’t know” admits Kae “Just that any attempt to get a fae noble or official invited has been politely declined, with the claim that it’s vampires and feeders only, and that it’s just a social event but I very much doubt that” she says “They’re up to something and it’s big, the heads of all the clans will be there, such a gathering hasn’t occurred for more than a hundred years.”

“So you’ll be sending spies?” you say.

“We will” says Kae “but anyone not a vampire or a feeder will be scrutinised and it’s so difficult to get a spy close enough to a vampire to be the sort of favourite feeder that gets invited to these sorts of things, without the spy...turning.”

“So they’ll be mind-reading everyone” you say grimly “Doesn’t matter if the Sergeant wants me to go, I couldn’t anyway.”

“They’ll be checking everyone but vamps or feeders yes” says Kae “reading another vampires mind or their feeders would be considered rude – it’s assumed any vamp with an invitation has been checked out, and each vamp will be responsible for their feeders discretion, besides, for most vamps it will be *just* a social event, the big meeting will happen behind closed doors.”

“It’s still risky” you say.

“Oh definitely” says Kae, nodding “I think your sergeant will see that too.”

We know two vampires with connections.

Quinn 'might' have an idea about it, but thats just baseless guesswork.

>Some old school spy work can still be effective.
So Shee, who is completly unskilled in normal spy work, is supposed to succesfully spy on a gathering of ancient dudes who have taken precautions to shield themselves from spying for the rulers of this world?
Yeah, no.
>>
>>37573677
>mindwaffles
A what.

>>37573685
I expect Ash might freak out if we show up with Quinn, out of fear that Shee has been mind-raped and Quinn brought her there to fuck with him. The last encounter with the both of them did end with Quinn attempting to forcibly bite us with rape overtones, after all.
>>
>>37573776
Considering Ash hangs out with Quinn again despite that, that'd be slightly disingenious of him.
And nothing is stopping us from informing Ashley about us coming beforehand, we would need to really, to make sure we can avoid his ancestor.

“What’re Imbued” you ask “A type of Gifted?”

“More like a the next level beyond Gifted” says Kae “Imbued are powerful and they use old spells from long ago in their creation, spells that make it all but impossible for an Imbued powers to be taken away. They’re only created when a powerful fae wants a powerful servant, usually only the most loyal servants are made into Imbued but sometimes...”

“Salvia?” you ask

“Yeah” says Kae, nodding “Look some Fae have a...twisted sense of humour alright, and many can draw power from the worship of mortals. Those that don’t want the bother of maintaining a cult use a proxy figure and so a fae tried the *Magical Princess* scenario.”

“Magical Princess?” you say, giving Kae a sceptical look “This sounds like a childs holo-vid.”

Kae smirks “Yeah” she says “A fae takes an ordinary mortal, male or female, early teens, preferably an unpopular one and makes them Imbued, spins them a whole story about being the heir to a kingdom or chosen for the purity of their souls or something. I understand that powers that transform the poor idiot into an ideal version of themselves are popular. They’re sent out to fight enemies, either enemies of the fae or puppets of them. In time their popularity grows, ordinary mortals look up to this hero, want to be them, fall in love with them, worship them. All the while the fae advises them in person or by proxy, gaining their trust until they’ve gathered a big enough following so that even in death they’ll still have worshippers and fans, then they come up against a foe they can’t defeat and well, instant martyr.”

“Didn’t work out on Salvia?” you ask.
>>
“Didn’t work out on Salvia?” you ask

Kae shakes her head “Nope” she says “The fae noble who tried it there is now dead, I understand that in the Salvia system fae are executed on sight and the girl in question just got re-elected to System Governor for the third term running. Oh and she’s founded a college for battle-mages. Yeah” sighs Kae “Someone really screwed up there.”

Yeah...

“It’s been great talking to you Kae” you say “but I think I need to get some rest now, you’ve given me a lot to think about, and I intend to see you in two nights anyway.”

“Yeah” says Kae “sleep well, and I shall see you in a couple of days”. Around you, the dream fades.

---

You wake up the next morning with Lirael curled up at your side. You rise without waking her and check on Rainya. Rainya is sleeping soundly and peacefully. A quick look in the other dorm reveals Dev snoring happily away, though of all of you, he still has a job.

You head to one of the kitchens and try to make an edible breakfast out of dried rations, now that you have money you reflect, you really should get some real food.

The smell of cooking stirs your friends and you hear the sounds of yawning and people wandering around, heading for bathrooms. As breakfast cooks you think about the conversation you had with Kae in your dreams, and contemplate what to do.

Of course the first choice today is about going to work or not. According to Rainya you’ve been fired, but maybe she misunderstood, or maybe they’ll take you back if you beg?

You’re job isn’t the greatest, and you have (or soon will have) money, but you find out useful stuff working for your company, huh, you’re not sure what you want to do.

Turn up to work today?

You really don’t feel like going to work, but you might as well try. After everyone is up and breakfasted you take everyone back to Dust Town, Lirael goes to school, Dev to work and Rainya says she’ll spend the day with some friends, after telling Rainya to take it easy you head into the Hive.

You stand outside of your workplace for several minutes, before taking a deep breath and heading in. Sally is at the front desk “Shee” she says, sounding surprised “I guess the message didn’t get to you, she looks embarrassed “look, Shee I don’t know how to tell you this but uh...”

“I know” you spare Sally the embarrassment “I just want to know why?”

Sally looks around to make sure no one is nearby and then whispers conspiratorially “Sean told one of the bosses he’d seen you out late the night before you called in sick, I overheard them talking. I think he has a grudge against you.”

Or maybe he just hates dusters, you think to yourself.

“Thanks Sally” you say “Where can I find Sean, or maybe Mr Johnson, see if I can’t smooth this out?”

“Well I really shouldn’t say” says the office gossip “but Sean is on the third floor in his usual office, and Mr Johnson is in conference room 9, he’s getting ready for a meeting but it’s not for 10 minutes yet.” Sally continues “Of course I shouldn’t let you in on account of you not working here, but I was so busy with my paperwork I just didn’t see you.” Sally looks down and begins shuffling the papers there, a grin on her face.

Ah good old reliable Sally, probably wants to hear about you punching Seans face in...

What do you do?

>>

>>
You walk past a grinning Sally and head up to the conference room. You see Mr Johnson there, preparing some sort of holo presentation, you knock quietly and open the door “Mr Johnson” you say “Can I have a word?”

Mr Johnson looks up in surprise “Ah Shee” he says “I was under the impression you weren’t coming back”.

“About that” you say “I took a day off work and then I’m fired, why?”

Mr Johnson sighs “Shee” he says “Your work has been going a little erratic, and you’ve taken quite a few sick days, when Sean saw you out late at night, well it just seems like you don’t take the job seriously.”

“So that’s it” you say “I’m just being fired?”

“It all adds up” says Mr Johnson “I’m sorry Shee, but it just seems like you don’t really want the job.”

How do you respond?

>Just leave
>I’ll work harder

“Well if you’d just take his word without asking me” you say to Mr Johnson “I guess I don’t want to work here after all.” You leave the conference room, head downstairs and nod to Sally on your way out. Outside you take a look around, you feel oddly free, as if a weight has been listed from your shoulders, you wander down the street, contemplating your next move.

>Go find Grev
>>
Rainya told you the name of the company she works for, Shenya’s Cleaning agency and you head to their offices. You concoct a cover story and ask around, it doesn’t take long to find out that Grev is on a job in another part of the Hive. You head over there and see an impressive-looking house with high walls, a large gate and security cameras all over the place. Apparently Grev is inside supervising whilst the owners are out for the day, though their security guards will be on duty of course.

You watch from across the street, yeah breaking in there would be hard, still, maybe you don’t have to. As you watch a lady in a cleaners outfit comes out of the gate with a couple of large trashbags in each hand, heads around the side of the compound and dumps them up against the wall before going back inside, the gate opening for her without any sort of guards present, as you watch she brings out another set of trashbags. Either someone is watching the security cameras or she has a temporary electronic pass or something.

You could talk to her, maybe give her a few credits for the pass and/or her clothes.
You could try breaking in, but that would be very risky
You could simply wait for the job to be done, should only be a few hours and find Grev then.
Or you could do something else.

What do you do?

Could it be the charsheets weren't updatet for XP last session?
Because Rainya already had only 2 free by the time we spent hers the last time.
Also, Lirael is missing 10 unspent XP.
(108-17=91)
>>
You wait, you’re in no hurry, Grev will come out sooner or later. Indeed, a couple of hours later a minibus pulls up at the gates and the cleaners come out of the compound and pack a lot of cleaning gear in the back and then get in the bus.

From Rainyas description you recognise Grev – a short thick-set man with thinning black hair and a badly-kept moustache. As the bus pulls away you hail a cab and have it follow the minibus. The next property is a larger compound surrounded by hedges and iron railings. There’s also a lot more guards, but no security cameras you can see.

Whoever lives here really likes their plants: In addition to the hedges there are trees and a lot of undergrowth visible through the gates. Stone paths cut through the vegetation in different areas.

It’s on a main street so there plenty of passersby as the cleaners unload and file into the compound, watched by the guards. Inside you see Grev put his arm around the shoulders of a young cleaner and lead her away from the main group, you hear him saying to the guards “The family paid for a full clean so we’re going to clean all the paths with weedkiller” he brandishes a pair of large bottles with spray nozzles on the tops. The young girl with him looks miserable. The guards don’t seem too bothered, focusing on the main group of cleaners heading to the house.

From what you can see through the gate the guards are regularly patrolling around the house rather the entire compound, and close to the house there are no trees or bushes. You might be able to sneak into the undergrowth to catch Grev and the young girl, or you could wait for a better opportunity, or you could do something else.

You have plenty of rags and you wander casually up to the metal railings, tie a make-shift mask over your face and quickly climb over and into the bushes. You crawl quietly through the dense vegetation, letting your hearing guide you towards the voices. As you crawl you focus on your face and appearance, masking yourself as someone else entirely.

Eventually you see through the leaves and branches; up ahead is Grev, and the young cleaner. The spray bottles are discarded on the floor and Grev has the young woman, little more than a girl really, backed up against a tree, his body pressing against hers as his hands roughly grope at her and he kisses her face and neck.

The girl simply allows him to do as he pleases, her eyes staring off into the middle distance, her face expressionless. They’re both clothed but as you watch Grev starts to peel off her cleaners outfit, continuing to slobber on her and run his hands over her.

Neither of them seem to have noticed you so far.

So we got
Shee 30XP, Lirael 31XP, Rainya 23, Dev 33.
A lot to play with.

Shee
I suggest buying
>Mechanics 3(4XP),
>Mastercraft(4XP)
>Enhance Ability(5XP)
>Enhance Senses(5XP)
>Life Extension(5XP)

The powers are mostly to get the Master Bonus on Enhance Abilties, which gives us +6 on all our physical attributes.

Lirael
>Sight 12(15XP)
So she can get Active Precognition, which is very useful when we mind-link with her in fights.

Rainya
>Duplicate 3-4(12XP)
>Constitution +3[15] (4XP)
>Toughness 2(4XP)
>Pistol Training 1(2XP)
She needs more HP for her Duplicates

Dev
>Scavenge(4XP)
Still looking him over, a bit distracted right now.
>>
>>37576197

That looks pretty good.

Should we either recruit someone who does stealth, or nudge one of our friends that way?
>>
>>37576182
>>37576113
I would think its better we don't do any mindfuckery on him, because there is a non-zero chance if he goes to the cops, they will examine his mind and start looking for unregistered people with mindpowers.
Like us. Not really worth the risk.
I suggest we stick to the classics of beating the shit out of him.
>>
>>37576230
Rainya would work well for that, with her Duplicates, pistol focus and since we already boost her agility.
>>
>>37576236
I really doubt he'd go to the cops to have his mind checked out, given what we're punishing him for.
>>
>>37576268
He might not get a choice.
Chances are good he goes to the cops over having been beaten up, and chances are he might get his mind examined, if he wants to or not.
Just not really a risk I see a point in taking.
Good old punch-up does the job good enough on him. Maybe some acid torture.
We'll see what Jaggantha suggests.
>>
>>37576251

Probably, not to mention if she unlocks more powers too.

Pistols are useful in that they are easy to hide.

Lirel no doubt will go in to compliment Shee's abilities.

Dev I know we are planning for him to go mechanic/warmech. We need someone else to pilot it, Shee just has too many nice abilities to spend points on.

And he is a muggle, so nothing to boost him other then a mech. Besides Mech-jock and heavy weapons guy is not a bad combo.
>>
>>37576329
>Dev I know we are planning for him to go mechanic/warmech.
I'm looking into giving him some skills in melee for the sword on the mech and he can use a plasma sword from the arsenal too.
>>
>>37576369

Yeah, it gives him a good mix. Sometimes we will need sublety, other times we need to break things.

The fact is, on the last 'mission' since we had the mech we were able to actually have less deaths.

Not to mention our willingness to bug out early. We still sadly lost someone.
>>
>>37576197
Pistol Training for Rainya might be 1 XP instead of 2. While I don't believe she's been shown using the Simgun range and hasn't received the Training yet, it would be easy for her to have done so off-screen or do so between now and when the purchase becomes relevant, possibly as a coping mechanism for her recent trauma.

Not sure how I feel about Shee getting Mastercraft if we're going to be making Dev into a Mechanic/Mechwarrior. Same for Mechanics, although I suppose those ranks are so Dev can learn from us. We could just enroll him in that Mechanics-based elective course back in the facility instead, if that's the point.

>>37576251
She also already has a rank in Stealth.
>>
>>37576329
We should probably enhance Devs Int. Thats kinda necessary for better mechanics.
And we have some points to spend right now.

Dev
>Scavenge (4xp)
>Intelligence 11(6XP)
>Mastercraft (4xp)
>Jury Rig (4xp)
>Longsword Fighting 3(6xp)
>Melee Training 1(4xp)
>Mechanics 2(2xp)

>>37576500
>Not sure how I feel about Shee getting Mastercraft
The issue is that Dev has such low intelligence, and is also Int(tertiary) so the higher ranks of mastercraft are far beyond him.
I wanted to keep him low mechanics for the purpose of maintaining and upgrading gear, not for crafting which I would leave to Shee.
>>
>>37576500
>>37576560
My lists are only suggestions of course, if you have a different idea, I'd be glad to hear it.
>>
>>37576500
>While I don't believe she's been shown using the Simgun range
She did actually use it together with us, Dev and Lirael when we used it for the first time.
>>
>>37576560

Dev has less things to spend xp on then Shee currently. So having him branch that way free's the xp for Shee to use it on other things.

Shee has a much better power selection, so pushing mechanics is kinda minor compared to having Dev do it also.
>>
>>37576757
>so pushing mechanics
We don't need to push mechanics, only Mastercraft. Which isn't really such a huge investment, more Int is good anyway.
And while he doesn't have a lot to spend on, his Int would be a massive XP sinkhole that would make him significantly lack in other areas, such as fighting skills.

We could leave away the additional Mechanics raks for Shee, and focus only on enhancing Int and Mastercraft, of course. We don't really need the higher mechanics rank.
>>
>>37576798
So more
Shee
I suggest buying
23/30
>Mastercraft(8XP)2x
>Enhance Ability(5XP)
>Enhance Senses(5XP)
>Life Extension(5XP)
Getting Expert Mechanic would have been nice, but its not a huge benefit.

Dev
26/33
>Scavenge (4xp)

>Jury Rig (4xp)
>Longsword Fighting 3(6xp)
>Melee Training 1(4xp)
>Mechanics 2(2xp)
>>
>>37576560
I worry that making crafting a focus could be a waste in the long run should we run into Sireyi's problem, where we're good at crafting/enchanting and have the means to do so but don't have any time to do it due to the perpetual flow of crises.

Hopefully this quest won't have that problem and we'll always have at least a day or two out of the week to do our own thing.

>>37576590
Not really. Getting the mastery bonuses is a good decision, as is keeping ~5 XP in reserve for on-the-spot purchases if something becomes incredibly relevant mid-thread. Mastercraft will probably be useful during our upcoming free time for upgrading the Warmech and our equipment.

>>37576609
I must've forgotten. I blame the fact that I'm tired, as is usual for the post-thread.

>>37576842
Dev can't get more ranks in Mechanics than Shee has unless we find an alternate way for him to learn.

>Dev can't get more ranks in Mechanics than Shee has
I liked your suggestion of enrolling him, I guess if we can't do that off-screen, it will have to wait.

>I worry that making crafting a focus could be a waste in the long run should we run into Sireyi's problem, where we're good at crafting/enchanting and have the means to do so but don't have any time to do it due to the perpetual flow of crises.

Shee will end up being the primary problem solver. Sireyi had the problem of being the primary one and dealing with stuff over a large distance/planes.

Here, currently everything is in 1 city.

I think having Dev handle the mech stuff in the background would be good long term. Having Shee do it short term is fine, but long term we want someone else to do crafting, I think. Or have 2 people do it.

She has the mech, working on devotion and other stuff in free time.
>>
>>37576914
>I worry that making crafting a focus could be a waste in the long run should we run into Sireyi's problem
I had considered that, but I don't really want to give up on that aspect of Shees character because the plot might not accomodate it.
With Sireyi it was always a fterthought, but Shee has already shown heavy affinity for mechanics and high-tech and I would like to continue that.
>>
>>37576994
>I think having Dev handle the mech stuff in the background would be good long term.
I think we would need to decide now, before we "waste" XP on Mastercraft on any side.
I would however keep in mind that we are likely to get more potential crafting feats in the future, which will require more Int, so I still say having Shee focus on the crafting is more advantegous.

>“I decided to give you one last chance!” thunders Kae “I should have just killed you when you attacked my friend but I was merciful instead, now you get a chance to explain yourself, but speak quickly, I have little patience, *demon worshipper*.”
What a bitch.
>>
>>37577061

Well, it costs 12xp to catch dev up to Shee's int.

It is a good chunk, about 2 threads worth.
>>
>>37576978
I don't think we can do that off-screen, no. On the plus side, it will probably confer a benefit similar to Simgun Training but for Mechanics-related skills and feats in exchange for an investment of time.

Might want to consider using some of our spare time in the next few threads and taking that course ourselves before purchasing Mastercraft if that's the case actually, given it's moderate-high cost.

>>37577012
Understandable. I'm not a fan of Shee abandoning that part of her character either, I just needed to state my fear of the possibility.

>>37577061
If we were going by the assumption that both of them are pure humans, then yes, entirely, but Shee isn't, and it will rarely be more advantageous for her to spend so much XP becoming a better mechanic when she could learn how to rip cars in half or shoot psionic laser beams.

Which are a thing, it's a Photokinesis peripheral in case nobody's spotted it.

If we were to get the possible discount, it might be different, since it'd only be 2 XP/level in Mastercraft and I can easily justify the Intelligence points.

>>37577076
Read the rest of the thread.
>>
Shee
15/30
>Enhance Ability(5XP)
>Enhance Senses(5XP)
>Life Extension(5XP)
Leaving out further mechanics stuff then, in case we get benefits from taking a mechanics course then.

Lirael
15/31
>Sight 12(15XP)
I'm unsure what to do here, anyone any suggestions? I don't really want to save for anything specific.
Rainya
21/23
>Duplicate 3-4(12XP)
>Constitution +3[15] (4XP)
>Toughness 2(4XP)
>Pistol Training 1(1XP)

Dev
24/33
>Scavenge (4xp)
>Intelligence 11(6XP)
>Jury Rig (4xp)
>Longsword Fighting 3(6xp)
>Melee Combat 2(4xp)
Leaving XP open so we can purchase higher Mechanic skills once we had the opportunity to enroll him in the facility.

>>37577123
It becomes even more, since each Mastercraft purchase raises the requirement by 2.
>>
>>37577182
>but Shee isn't
Thats part of my reasoning. I think its very possible we get crafting feats that work together with our demonic/psychic abilities.
Especially with our demonic abilities, given that Jaggantha is specifically pointed out to be a master craftsman too.
>>
>>37577182

Maybe we eventually have both of them do it, so Dev could turn out quality items and then Shee enhances them with psionics/gifts, ect?
>>
>>37577216
I would suggest adding
Shee
>Ranged Combat 4(8XP)
To make better use of our pistol sidearm.
>>
Do we have any idea what the "commanding undeads" in Liraels Command power means?
What undeads are meant there? She doesn't have any necromancy abilities, can she just raise dead people with that?
I assume it doesn't mean True Vampires, because that'd be kinda strange.
>>
>>37577239
>>37577266
That's almost certainly going to be something that could happen, but the question is whether the powers are worth it and how, exactly, they work. I'd prefer to see them before investing in mechanics because of them, for the same reason I'd never buy a higher rank of a gift than I can see the effects of.

>>37577216
Third rank of Willpower of the Infinite Mirror for Shee, since that Gift is still one of the best all-around ones we can get.

Maybe two ranks in Might to get it's Vitae cost somewhere better, one rank in Healing.

>>37577405
If we needed the bonus, Ranged Combat would be what we'd go for, but a +7 is already a good enough bonus for the pistol.

We can only get three more ranks of Ranged Combat anyway, not four.

>>37577453
I presume it means feral undead, or possibly making an opposed Willpower check for already controlled mindless undead.
>>
>>37577495
>Third rank of Willpower of the Infinite Mirror
Completly overlooked that that is already a thing. Definitly that one then. Gets our physical stats even higher.

>We can only get three more ranks of Ranged Combat anyway, not four.
I think he means purchasing the 2 ranks we need to get to Ranged Combat 4, not purchasing 4 ranks of ranged combat.
Since ranged combat is a expertise skill, so each rank would cost 4XP, if we don't count the reduction from the Sim.
>>
>>37577495
>I presume it means feral undead, or possibly making an opposed Willpower check for already controlled mindless undead.

Well there is magic mentioned. We don't see anything to do with the magic abilities, Pally has those hidden, the same with Fae abilities or other Vampire blood lines.

There might be something in those ranges that have to do with it.

The only sets we can view are:

>Psychic
>Mundane
>Champion (duplication)
>Vampire (graced) / Dhampire (graced)
>>
>>37577495
>for the same reason I'd never buy a higher rank of a gift than I can see the effects of
I wished we already had a write-up of the higher levels of Wishcrafting.

>>37577663
Psychic abilities are basically the "magic" of this setting.
>>
>>37577695
Not to mention the Adaption gift we got from Mirror last time.
>>
>>37577695
No, the magic is the magic of this setting. Psychic powers are also kinda magic but not really except when they are. One of the Psychic prestige skills is the ability to duplicate an entire form of magic with Psychic power. Because Psychics are bullshit.

>>37577722
Which isn't even included in the Character or Rules sheets currently. I need to start bugging OP about these things again.

>>37577574
This is why I like my formatting better. It displays the number of ranks purchased and the new total rank to avoid confusion.
>>
>>37577695
>Psychic abilities are basically the "magic" of this setting.

Well the Fae are specified to use magic.

in >>37573876

Kae mentions a college for battle-mages.

So magic might be another power source.
>>
>>37577793
We all like your formatting better, thats why we keep wanting to see it.

>I need to start bugging OP about these things again
Please do. I didn't even notice that one.
>>
>>37577793
>Because Psychics are bullshit.
I swear at the end of this we are going to be even more ridiculous then Sireyi.
>>
>Shadowcraft
>Shadowcraft is the ability to control and move through shadows. It has additional powers that may be discovered over time.
>Requires: Metapsionics Mastery, Psychoportation Adept
>[Locked]

>Requires: Metapsionics Mastery, Psychoportation Adept
I just noticed this. I wonder if we're going to be the kind of person that can spontaneously develop these skills that are supposed to take lifetimes to develop. The fact that none of the other prestige skills have unlock requirements makes me suspicious that that might be the case.

>>37577829
Other than Psionics, there's Lifeweb Magic (what Lirael's mother used) and Chaos Magic (what the Fae use, probably). There might be other forms of magic that have escaped my notice.
>>
>>37577920
>There might be other forms of magic that have escaped my notice.
Well, Demon Magic.

> I wonder if we're going to be the kind of person that can spontaneously develop these skills that are supposed to take lifetimes to develop.
I had assumed that from the start.
Which is a bit of a shame, because finding teachers for these things after meeting the requirements, would have been interesting too.

Honestly I think the XP costs of psychic powers are too low. We already maxed out 2 entire disciplines.
>>
Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>37577951
>Honestly I think the XP costs of psychic powers are too low. We already maxed out 2 entire disciplines.
They're fine considering how weak we are relatively. Psychics are supposed to grow exponentially, which is why they're such a threat to the fae in the first place.
>>
>>37577920
>>37577951
>and they must be learnt from a psychic who knows them
Until shown otherwise, I'm going to assume this means the Requirement, only indicates what we need to start learning these, we still need someone to teach them.
>>
>>37577895
>I swear at the end of this we are going to be even more ridiculous then Sireyi.

Well, as Sireyi we also kinda declined some other ways in pretty combative votes to get power too. But i have no doubt we have as much a chance to get that powerful eventually.

The setting has much more suffering built in however.

>>37577920
>Other than Psionics, there's Lifeweb Magic (what Lirael's mother used) and Chaos Magic (what the Fae use, probably). There might be other forms of magic that have escaped my notice.

This reminds me of RIFTS, as far as setting goes.

Anything goes, you have super heroes, vampires, psionics, high technology, magic, Gods, demons, Fae.

This is only one planet, who knows what else is out there too.
>>
>>37577951
I don't know enough about Demon Magic to determine if it's really separate or if it's some sub-class to Lifeweb or Chaos magic with an angry coat of paint.

>>37577970
>This is only one planet, who knows what else is out there too.
Things that make the old gods look like magnanimous jellyfish.

Shee Hyul, 20/30 XP

Lirael, 30/31 XP

Rainya Halms, 21/23 XP

>Scavenge -4 XP
>Intelligence +3 (11) -6 XP

>Longsword Fighting +3 (3) -6 XP
>Melee Combat +1 (2) -4 XP

Alright, I think this is correct, which means I've almost certainly made some error or another.
>>
>>37578561
Nope, seems correct to me.
>>
>>37578561

Not bad, it almost looks like the Vampire powers once pushed to 12 give rather nice continual bonus's.

Wonder if there is a stated way to increase Vitae pool eventually.

Looks like the goal may be healing 10 for action free heals?

Wonder if the powers her mom told her not to use tie into unlock other graced or related magics.
>>
>>37579126
Only thing her mother told her not to use is "Destruction", and the Ascension ability, which she has already unlocked since we mind-melded with her.
I would like to get Quickness 12 for her, actually for that bonus, but healing 10 looks like the more useful by being faster available.
>>
>>37579175

Agility is very nice, I wonder why we are pushing Might so much, was it decided earlier that Lirael is going to be hand to hand combat a bit?

She seems to prefer ranged combat currently.

If she ages will her Willpower go up to 20, or sit at 18?
>>
>>37579330
>I wonder why we are pushing Might so much
Because its useful to have someone super strong around, and flying combined with super strength is very versatile. She can carry allies into safety or grapple opponents with attacks from the sky. We don't have anyone else as strong as she can be with Might so thats why we need to make it a bit more efficient.
And we don't really have much else to invest her XP until we unlock one of the other powers.

Her limit is at 18 right now.
>>
>>37579373

The unarmed damage to might, is that constant or only when activated?

If so all 3 physical abilities have nice modifiers other then pushing the enchantment bonus.
>>
>>37579480
The secondary benefits are constant, see the Endurance Hitpoint bonus.
>>
>>37579589
>The secondary benefits are constant, see the Endurance Hitpoint bonus.

Saw that after reading through some more. Then they are at the will max eventually, sooner then later level.

Also shows how fucked mundanes are, since they would have to rely on stuff like body armor and the warmech to stand a chance.

Of course very few would be as active as Shee under /tg/ control in jumping into danger and getting xp.

Reading into this with Kae, it seems that it was almost set up for us to be killed by her, by either Quinn or his family manipulating him.
>>
>>37579685
>it seems that it was almost set up for us to be killed by her
I don't see it.
Quinn didn't really do anything to set Kae against us at all actually.
I actually think he was ordered to co-operate with us in this, since his father knows about us, Quinn had no other way to find out about our parents having worshipped the five.
>>
>>37579758
>I actually think he was ordered to co-operate with us in this, since his father knows about us, Quinn had no other way to find out about our parents having worshipped the five.

Maybe, I might be reading too much into it. All it would take would be knowing that we worshipped the 5 and Kae would turn against us.

More then likely a deeper game is played and everyone involved is just pawns, Shee, Quinn and Kae.
