>I try, somedays I actually succeed.

You embrace her hug, and whisper back, “I try, somedays I actually succeed.”

Shadow Alex laughs, “So modest, I’d say more often than not.”

“Please, you’re making me sound narcissistic,” you both stand up and brush each other off, Shadow Alex lingering and doing a little more groping than you.

She smiles, and whispers, “I’m not sure about you but I am, at least.”

You chuckle before remembering Kats on the patio and glance back at her, she’s watching with a faint blush on her face, her ears twitching slightly.

Its with a frown that you realize she probably heard all of that, Kat wets her lips and you wonder just what exactly she’s picturing. You shrug after a moment, “I’m sure you know, but I need to go shower. Beth should be done shortly.”

Shadow Alex nods, “Yeah, lets go do that, I’ll wash your back.”

You grin and start heading inside ruffling Kat’s hair as you pass. Unexpectedly she moans, and shivers as you do, you grin as you realize what change she must have gotten from the darkness yesterday.

For a moment you wonder if you shouldn’t take advantage of this, you could even have more hot water after this…

>Kat needs some attention, let’s help with that.

You decide that flimsy excuse is more than enough as you bring your other hand to scratch under her chin, Kat practically starts to melt in your hands, only staying up right through your intervention.

Shadow Alex has moved behind her gently rubbing at the base of her neck and just above her tail.

“I wonder,” you say teasingly as Kat starts purring rather loudly, shivering with her eyes closed, “You had a change coming didn’t you?”

Kat’s head barely nods, “Y-yeah,” her hands are gripping the patio table making her knuckles white, and she’s rubbing her legs together.

“I kind of figured what Beth’s was,” you say with fake wonderment in your voice, “but I can’t tell anything different about you…”

Shadow Alex grins as she realizes where this is going persay, she runs a finger along Kat’s spine making her hair stand on end and let an involuntary moan out.

“I-it was nothing really,” Kat stammers out, just barely managing to make sense through her purring.

“Hmm, was it really?” you ask focusing your scratching on her eyes before leaning down and nibbling gently on her neck.

Kat’s head leans to the side making room for you as she pants heavily, “Ohhh god,” she breathes out as her hands move down to reach into her pants.

You pull them out, preventing her from working herself, noticing that they already were fairly wet, “Kat you shouldn’t do that outside now, especially with my mom just inside… we don’t want a repeat of the store now do we?”

Kat whimpers as she tugs on her hands weakly, you pin them to the table with one hand as you begin teasing her with your other, “Please!” Kat begs.

“I-its.. I want to-” she bites her lip as she looks up to you a pleading look in her eyes as she breathes heavily.

“I can’t read minds you know,” you say and lean down biting a little harder.

Kat moans, her legs still rubbing together to get even a little friction, “I… need to…” she hesitates, embarrassed, “I need to cum!” she begs.

You smile sadistically, as you start realizing just how much fun this is, “Well, I might be more inclined to let you… if you answer my question from before.”

She whimpers, “I-I’m really sensitive, everythings on fire!” she pauses before continuing, “I got off just getting in your bed last night! I-I’ve been having minor orgasms all day!”

It seemed impossible, but your smile widens.

Writing now, she left finally.
>>
>You know Kat, I recently discovered how to make Jello.

“You know Kat,” you run a hand through her hair and lean close, “I recently learned how to make homemade Jello.”

Kat looks confused, and just as she’s about to ask what you’re talking about you slip your hand into her pants and pinch her button. Her eyes go wide as her mouth tries to figure out what it was doing opening and closing, her entire body is shivering as your fingers continue to work her soaking sex.

A glance downwards shows she’s soaked through the pants she’s wearing, you can’t help but feel mildly accomplished. Shadow Alex leans close to her and starts whispering things very quietly into her ear, from what you catch of it, its various lewd actions of all three of you.

You let go of her hands and she quickly grabs ahold of you, as you start to let her down from the orgasm, gently rubbing her lower lips to keep her feeling good.

It takes maybe five minutes of this before she finally collapses onto the table exhausted and purring loudly, “... that was mean,” she half heartedly says despite the content look on her face.

“Hardly, I showed you how to make homemade Jello,” you almost scratch her ears before remembering your hands covered in her fluids.

Shadow Alex grins as she does it for you, “It only takes two people, but if you want extra servings you can just increase the recipe,” she explains, continuing your joke.

Kat glances between the two of you, a slight frown, “I don’t get it,” it’s kind of hard to understand her through the thick purring with how softly she’s speaking.

“You will when you try walking,” you explain before looking through the glass doors to see Beth just coming out of your room, she must have taken a long shower.

“Ahhh,” Kat’s tone is one of understanding.

>Give Kat a Bath, it’s only right.

You lean down, putting your arms under Kat’s legs as Shadow Alex pulls the chair out and its occupant with it, making it easier for you to pick her up in a bridal carry.

Kat makes a surprised sound quickly grabbing onto your neck for support, “Wh-what are you doing?”

“Well, I don’t know if you noticed,” you say with a grin as Shadow Alex opens up the back door heading inside and leaving it open for you, “But both of us could use a thorough cleaning.”

Shadow Alex laughs, “Yo’ I’m going to watch TV while you do that.”

“Guess I’ll join you,” Beth says to Shadow Alex, fiddling with her hands, “Nothing else to do in the mean time.”

Shadow Alex looks a little surprised, before shrugging.

You glance between the two, “Play nice will you?”

Beth looks away before nodding, “I’ll try.”

“Didn’t even need to ask,” Shadow Alex reassures you.

Satisfied you carry Kat into the Bathroom, and set her down, “I was going to shower later,” she finally protests.

“Do you really want to sit around with that mess drying? It’s not comfortable as I’ve come to find out,” you say while undressing, pulling of your panties that have taking to sticking to you grimacing as you do.

Kat frowns as she thinks about it, slowly realizing you’re right, “No,” she sighs defeated, “Can we at least make it a Bath?”

You shrug, “I don’t see why not,” now that you’re fully naked you start running the hot water, and filling the tub.

She slowly gets undressed, holding onto you with one hand for balance as she pulls her pants off.

You help her with the rest of her clothing, tossing them in the hamper with yours, before climbing into the tub with a sigh, “Come on in, I’ll wash your back.”

“I know,” you say pulling her to lay back with you, “but I enjoy doing it, and if that sigh is to judge you do too.”

“Yeah, but…” Kat starts to protest.

“Haven’t I told you? It’s okay to let me spoil you,” you cut her off, “Really, its okay.”

Kat broods for a little while as you both soak, “It’s just… I mean,” she shrugs as she struggles for words.

“Do you enjoy it?” Kat nods as you ask, “Then you should just enjoy the things that make you happy.”

Kat lets out another sigh, this one more relaxed, “Kay.”

You give her a squeeze as you two soak for a minute or two, “As comfortable as I am, I still need to scrub myself down.”

She moves off of you grabbing the soap before you get the chance with a happy smile, “It’s your turn now.”

Not even arguing, you let her work, shivering she moves past your loins. Once she’s finished scrubbing you down you stand up and let water start to drain turning on the shower to wash your and Kat’s hair. She stands as far away as possible from the spray. Finally the two of you are clean as can be and get out of the shower, drying off.

Idly you realize Shadow Alex is in the living room, and all of your clothes are in her room… or at least the ones that are neither dirty and fit.

>Have Shadow Alex help, wrap a towel around yourself.
>Wake your dad up, ask about foam.

You wrap a towel around yourself, or try to and quickly find that because of your height you’re either going to be showing your chest or groin. With a bit of adjusting you manage to just show your backside, like you see in movies.

With a glance, you see Kat who’s managed to cover all of herself by simply wrapping the towel around her, she’s frowning at you. You can’t help it as you feel just a little smug.

Kat heads out with you following after, she heads into your room leaving the door open as you continue to the living room.

Beth and Shadow Alex are chatting about something, hardly paying attention to the TV, you wait a moment before Shadow Alex notices you, she has a look of realization, “Yo’ I’ll be right back,” she says to Beth.

“Yeah, sure,” Beth says as she follows Shadow Alex’s gaze, and smiles at the sight, “Need help getting dressed?” she teases.

“Something like that, it’s been so long since I last did it,” you shake your head sadly, “I don’t even know where my clothes are anymore.”

“Just as planned,” Shadow Alex says calmly, “Now all I have to do is hide the towels…”

You chuckle, “Seriously though I do need some clothes that fit.”

Shadow Alex nods and you two head to the bathroom, well aware Kats in your room right now, she reaches in and pulls out your cuttoff shorts and tank top as well as a pair of panties. She glances at the hamper before taking everything out of there and tossing it inside you as well.

It’s an odd feeling and look with her reaching into your chest, “We really need to figure a better way to do this part,” you idly say squirming a little.

“It’s kind of fun though,” Shadow Alex says with a smile, “Watching you squirm.”

“Well, maybe for you, but this isn’t exactly something that’s easy to show others,” you start to get dress now that she’s finished.

“It could just be our secret,” she points out, as she leans against the sink.

“I suppose thats also true,” you pull your tank top over your head, looking at yourself in the mirror. You probably should eventually make or get another one of these as your nipples are kind of visible through one layer without the jacket anyways.

Shadow Alex hums, “Beth’s warming up to me, think she’s starting to accept we’re the same person.”

“I saw,” you smile at her, “Anyways, I’m about to go wake dad up for the foam, you want to come with?”

She thinks for a moment, “Nah, I’ll keep Beth company, might as well.”

“Kay,” you say already heading towards your parents room, “Yo’ I’ll be a minute, have something to ask Dad.”

Beth looks up as you speak, “Sure, I’ll be here. Enjoying relaxing for once.”

Shadow Alex sits where she was before and stretches, getting comfortable again.

“Be careful, that couch is known to consume days,” you warn, before continuing on to your parents room.

As you pass the study, you see, out of the corner of your eye, your mother on the phone, writing down information as she works. Deciding its best not to disturb her, you open the door and see your father on the bed laying face down, covered up and using the pillows to block the sun.

You hum as you consider how to wake him up, and ask.

>So you see dad, I’ve got some lady problems.
>Dad, you still haven’t had a chance to spoil your daughter…
>I need lots of sound proof foam… for reasons.

Also, how to wake him up.

You walk over to your fathers side and gently start shaking him awake, “Dad, wake up.”

A moment passes and no movement from him, you were hoping it would be that simple, you shake a little harder, “It’s noon, wake up.”

Still nothing, you shake harder yet without being obnoxious about it, “Dad come on I need your help.”

You let out a small sound of surprise as he suddenly grabs your arm, rolls over and sits up, despite the groggy look on his face you can tell he’s excited, “What do you need Alex?”

“... How long were you awake?” you ask frowning at him, and pulling your hand back.

“Ahaha, what are you talking about? You just woke me up,” his laugh is nervous.

“Right,” you say skeptically, “Anyways, i need lots of sound proof foam… for reasons, and you still have a bunch in the shed for when you were going to do whatever right?”

“There is a lot in the shed,” he confirms, “What do you need it for?”

“For things,” you answer in the same dodgy fashion, “Look this is your chair to spoil your daughter.”

He hums, “Well you see, last I heard fathers only spoiled good girls,” he shakes his head sadly, “Just last night you told me you were in your rebellious stage, so my hands are tied.”

You chew on your lip, uncertain how exactly you want to proceed.

“It was a stage,” you protest, “I’ve already moved past it.”

Your father chuckles, “Moved past it before you even had a chance to be punished for it?”

“Yo’ there’s no need for drastic measures here,” you immediately say, “Let’s all be calm.”

“Really though, what do you need it for Alex?” Your father asks, taking this seriously.

“Look, mom’s implied you know about this whole everything, yeah?” you say having a seat in the chair they have for reading.

Your father is silent, more or less confirming what you thought.

“Right so, I may have made some mistakes and as of now theres a lot of noise in Alex’s room, much like a loud engine,” you continue to explain, leaning forward, “We shouldn’t need it for too long, and you still have yet to use it.”

He sighs, pinching his brow, “Alex, what sort of mistakes might you have made?” he sounds a lot like he does when talking on the phone for work. An air of being tired about him.

You give a weak smile, “I forced something that maybe shouldn’t have been forced.”

“I take it you already spoke to your mother?” He asks, as his eyes flick towards the door.

“Yeah, she said to ask you for foam, and do things as normal,” you explain to your father.

“Alright, go ahead. Use it for as long as you need,” your father stands up and stretches, “If things get worse come let me know.”

“Okay,” you say realizing just how little you actually knew about your parents.

“You’re welcome,” he starts to move towards the door.

“So hey,” you say catching him before he can go far, “Why not tell me about all this? Before I mean.”

Your father sighs, looking at your face before taking a seat, “Well, lets take a look at what’s happened since you’ve run into magic,” he holds out his and starts counting up with it as he speaks, “For one, you’ve become a girl, two your eyes have changed, Three you don’t cast a shadow anymore, and finally four this maybe mistake.”

“This was done in a week Alex, not to mention the other temporary changes you’ve been through,” he shakes his head, “Not that any of thats bad, per say, just a fine example of why we never told you.”

You frown and shrug, “Well, fair enough I suppose. I could get in a fit about you not trusting me or whatever, but uh it’d be pointless as I more or less made the point.”

He chuckles, “More or less,” his eyes get their usual spark to them, “Now, don’t get me wrong I’m not saying for you to go be boring just yet, that’s for when you get old. Go be reckless, make some mistakes, learn from them, and most of all have fun.”

“Yo, that’s not really something you should say to your kid.. right?” You chuckle and stand up.

Your father stands up as well, “Nah, lessons are learned best by your own hands. Just be safe about it, that’s all I ask.”

“Well, I can do safe,” you head into the dining room, “But hey dad? I’m going to grab the foam.”

“Alright, its in the back, against the wall,” he explains while heading into the kitchen.

You nod and make your way to the living room, Beth, Kat, and Shadow Alex are all watching some soap opera. Kat’s pretty into it, Beth not so much… Shadow Alex is not really paying attention to it at all, mostly looking around the room or at Kat or Beth.

She quickly spots you, “It’s not, well I mean it is but I’m not really watching it.”

Beth and Kat both glance to her then you, “Hey, how’d it go?” Beth shifts to get a better look at you.

“Good, hey he said we could have the foam for now,” you say to Shadow Alex, looking amused at her excuses, “You want to come help with it?”

Shadow Alex nods, “Yeah, my times about up anyways.”

“Foam?” Kat asks, her ears perking up.

“Soundproof,” you explain, “We need it for reasons.”

Beth looks between the two of your and back to your room, “... yeah I guess you do make a lot of noise, usually.”

Kat’s face slowly becomes a shade of red, you can’t help but smile, “Well something like that, I’ll tell you both later, yeah?”

Shadow Alex has gotten up and opened the back door, already moving towards the Shed.

“You need any help?” Beth starts to stand up, “I don’t mind.”

“Nah, we got it, stuffs not that heavy anyways,” you say following after Shadow Alex, “Thanks though.”

You close the back door as Beth nods, and head out to the shed, Shadow Alex has already gotten it open. As always it looks like some sort of works shop, not that you’ve ever really been able to tell what for. Just a general purpose sort of thing, you always thought.

Now though you wonder if more isn’t hidden here, you glance to Shadow Alex who seems to be wondering the same thing.

>Looking around won’t hurt, right?

You glance back at the house, your father did just basically give you the okay… in a roundabout way, you slightly close the shed door, giving you a little more cover from there as both you and Shadow Alex begin to look around.

Even with your new found eyesight, and senses you’re not seeing anything… the tables all are relatively clean, and outside of some basic tools you need in every house there’s seemingly nothing here.

As you’re searching you start running your hand across everything, you’re about to give up when you feel a spot on the table thats almost painful to the touch. You frown while looking at it, as best you can see, even with your eyesight, theres nothing there.

Shadow Alex hugs you from behind, “Times up,” she sighs before disappearing back into you.

You smile, “Welcome home,” you say going back to messing with the table.

”I’m home,” Shadow Alex says happily, while you continue trying to figure out what’s up with this spot.

Right now I think the ability to get our magical girl buisiness with school life along is a major problem. as well as our changes. in that regard my wish would be along the lines of ¨make everyone who knows us and doesn't know we are a magical girl blantantly oblivious of any changes we have and get¨
On the other side, a stable income and the food truck as camouflage for hunting demons seems like a good approach to monetary problems
Hm... my usual approach to questions I don't have an answer for doesn't work here sadly. It's When in doubt: C4. and a flatly stated Google?
Also I thought about the course of that conversation I would really love to have that in there: ¨Don't worry, I'm sure you'll love your grandkid all the same even though it's slightly yellow... or caramel... or chocolate... I don't know yet.¨
>>
>>37565088
I'm thinking the list should include something along the lines of:
>The ability to transform between our male and female forms
>That all changes go to our female form.
>Food Truck!

>Power! Give More Power!
>>
>>37565214
>>37565298
we dont need a damn food truck, we could easily have more than enough money using cores to wish for it directly.

Flat out wishing for fucking money would be boring though. I rather like the nightclub in our head idea though.
>>
>>37565383
>nightclub in our head
That's what pills are for
>>
>>37565383
except forcing us to have a job and work for money is significantly more boring then pretty much everything else we could be doing.

ie hanging out with people, fighting demons or dealing with school.
>>
>>37565340
Yeah, he's right.
You guys know what we need?
A Batcave. A Fortress of Solitude, except with bitches and food, instead of rocks and crystals.

We could set up a base and do the Charlie's Angels thing, except with more lesbian orgies in between mission amd hunts.
Also, we need to burn a wish on an awesome car for the team.
>>
>>37565411
Owning a night club would allow us to meet so many new people if it becomes popular though.
>>
>>37565459
That is even worse than the food truck, would you want a nightclub to operate in your damn bedroom?

We seriously dont need that much money, and we will meet plenty of damn people at school and through fighting demons.
>>
>>37565491
>muggle friends
Aspire to greatness anon.

More seriously though, you might be right about the location thing. Would still like to meet more people of the magically inclined variety.
>>
>>37565538
We dont need to meet more, we met plenty we just haven't hung out with them since meeting.

And its a bit foolish to think we wont meet a few magical girls at school, considering our best friend was one.
>>

I think people would be more concerned over the fact that Alex is now a girl, rather than about her eyes being weird.
>>
>>37567269
It's relatively easy to get a new identity. Not easy to cover the fact we now have cat's eyes and lack a shadow.
>>
>>37567314
No matter what, non-magic-aware people think there's nothing weird about our appearance.
>>
>>37565298
I find the "swap between genders" wish to be just as annoying as the "make any and all changes reverse-able at will" wish. There's something really annoying at being able to pick and choose what changes you keep.
>>
>>37568136
Indeed.

You either keep it or you don't end of story, none of this getting the best of both ways crap.

I would also require each change to require a separate wish to remove unless you want to remove all changes at once.
>>
>>37568174
I'm against that, but only because I REALLY like the shadow eyes and dark skin/no shadow thing. I'd rather use a wish to brainwash everyone that isn't in the know that us being a girl was always a thing and that the current changes we have are actually normal. No one's really raised a fuss about it, anyways, except for the girl at the bakery, and we handled that pretty well.
>>
>>37568193
that could backfire if we get another noticeable change, we would have to repeat that wish again or wish away the new change.
>>
>>37568283
Then it would behoove us to be careful with the shadow credits instead of burning through them like we did last time. I'm kind of interested in seeing how long the other girls have had their changes, and how they're coping with them (obviously Anna and Summer have been doing well).
>>
Page seven bumpity bump
>>
Oh Christ, go to sleep and all of this happens.

One. The wish for, what's essentially, brainwashing people just reeks of a bad idea. Really, don't mess with peoples minds with magic that's just bad taste.

Two. That nightclub idea is even worst than the food truck one. Do you people not understand how much time gets put into those places to setup and run? Or the fact when school starts up again how little we'll have to mange either of those ideas.

Now, regards to Alex's no shadow thing. We probably can train Darkness element, barring we don't have to get rid of it, to force one on us. Seriously, train ourselves before trying wish everything a way. Hell, that goes for everything. Don't go looking right to wishes to fix all the problems least we discover what monkey paw wishes are.

‘Yeah, no. That’s a mistake waiting to happen,’ you think to Shadow Alex, and move to the several boxes of sound proof foam along the back wall of the shed. There might not be enough to cover all of the walls, but it should be more than enough to help mitigate.

”Let’s at least mention it to Dad later,” Shadow Alex says as the boxes of foam become a whisp of darkness before entering into your chest, giving you and odd tingling feeling that makes you shiver.

It feels so awkward, like you’re exercising muscles you haven’t ever touched before, or like sitting your wallet that’s thicker than usual.

‘Yeah okay,’ you think after shaking off the feeling, ‘you need help setting that up?’ you ask Shadow Alex before heading back inside careful to replace the lock and turn the code away from open.

Shadow Alex hums, ”I’ve got to figure out how I want to do this first, might make foam bubble for sleep…”

‘Heh, that sounds… comfortable almost,’ you head back into the living room to see Beth and Kat where you left them. Dad’s sitting at the dining room table eating leftovers from breakfast and reading the newspaper.

>Yo Beth… shouldn’t you call your dad?
>Hey, Dad, did you know you have a table of pain?

>Yo Beth… shouldn’t you call your dad?

You head over to the couch and lean on the back of it, “Yo, Beth.”

“Sup,” she asks looking up at you.

“Not that I’m trying to get rid of you or anything… but don’t you think you should give your dad a call?” you point out.

Beth grimaces, “... I should, yes, that doesn’t mean I want to.”

“You know he’s got to be worried about you,” you point out, glancing over to Kat to see she’s having problems deciding what to pay attention to.

Beth sighs, “Probably more angry than anything. I doubt I’ll have freedom for a while, likely be grounded for the rest of summer.”

“... you could always try and talk to him about… well everything you mentioned yesterday?” you suggest, “It might help.”

“It’s never that easy though,” Beth pulls her phone out, looking at it hesitantly, “Yeah, okay. I probably should before he calls the cops about a runaway or something,” she turns her phone on and heads for the back door, “I’ll be out here, so I don’t bother anyone.”

“I’ll be here,” you give a smile, “Good luck and all that.”

Beth laughs, “Yeah, I’ll need it,” she closes the door and holds her phone up to her ear while pacing around the back yard. You can see she’s speaking actively. After a moment you bite your lip and have a seat on the couch.

The soap opera’s still on and Kat’s back to watching it, you sigh and let it pass the time. Two sets of commercials later, with you trying to figure out how these shows are even liked, the back door opens again as Beth gives a frustrated sigh.

“Hey, Alex I’ve got to head home,” Beth’s heading for the door, stopping just before the hallway to it.

“I can’t say I’m surprised,” you go to give Beth a hug, and are mildly surprised when she pulls you into a kiss instead.

“In case I’m grounded for a while,” she says with a weak smile, “Do try and break me out of jail if it lasts too long.”

“Hmm, you know I think my Dad still has the homemade breaching charges,” you give her a teasing smile, “So I think I can do that.”

Beth opens her mouth to say something and frowns, “Just how serious are you..?”

“About the charges? Pretty serious, about using them? Not sure yet,” you shrug, before giving her a tight hug, “But no really you’re house is safe.”

“Thats… good I think, might change that opinion later though,” she sighs, and buries her face into your chest, “Wish me luck.”

You run your hand through her hair, “Good luck Beth, I’ll see you soon.”

She swallows hard, “Yeah, you too,” she lingers in your arms for a moment before pulling away and heading to her car. You watch as she pulls away with a slight tightness in your chest.

Idly, you wonder if you’re even in the mood to do anything else now.

Was it a single patch of table or the entire table was ow?
>>
>>37572595
Even though we failed miserably with the roll, does that mean that something doesn't happen? It always strikes me that, rather have a failure accomplish nothing, failures should in some cases just have something unexpected happen. For instance, we look for a demon, and instead we end up running into someone unexpected.
>>
>>37572662
Single patch, hence why it took you feeling around for it.

>>37572668
Failures really only are just that in combat, or if I can't think of something that makes sense with what was rolled.
>>
>>37572668
Sometimes, nothing happens and one needs to come up with new plans. Nothing wrong with with nothing happening.
>>
>>37572784
Well, think about how a quest thread like this works. You have actions, dice rolls, and it takes 20-40 minutes to get a response. It sucks to have time wasted because of a failure, so you might as well have something interesting happen instead that's unexpected.
>>
>>37572820
>It sucks to have time wasted because of a failure
We still wander around the town with Kat. Possibly ending with us most talking to her. That isn't time wasted. Really all because 'the big thing I wanted to happen' didn't happen doesn't make it time wasted. It means plans got changed on the fly because of rolls. Big deal.
>>
>>37572884
Basically this. I'm perfectly fine with spending the afternoon wasting time and strolling with Kat.
>>
>>37572884
Which isn't a bad thing, and not what I'm arguing against. Having fun and chatting with Kat is an interesting thing, I've just seen several things where failure means "nope, shit doesn't happen".
>>
So I got to thinking and realized next thread'll be 30 and nearly 3 months of running this.

>Wander town, see how different things look now. (16)

You head back to the living room to see Kat turning off the tv, a glance at the clock shows you it’s 1PM, “Hey Kat, now that your show is done, you want to go out?”

Kat stands up and stretches, “Yeah, I could do with some sun.”

“Awesome,” you head into the kitchen and grab two water bottles, unsure how long you’ll be out, before going outside with Kat. You pull your keys out, but you see Kat’s beat you to it with a happy smile.

You hand her a bottle with a smile, “I’d tell you have a safe trip, but I’m going with you.”

“That just means it will be safe doesn’t it?” Kat points out as both of you start walking down the street, your eyes wandering and actually looking at everything instead of just for demons.

“Well, at the very least no one’ll Katnap you with me here,” you reach over and ruffle her hair, she seems to have lost her change.

Kat barely suppresses a giggle, “That was awful and you know it.”

You shrug and whistle innocently, before going back to looking around, you think you’ve almost gotten to the point where you can see the currents of darkness and magic again, to see the ebb and flow.

However, you can’t seem to… walk down that path again, so to speak, it makes you frustrated. You know the start, you know the finish, and you’re about halfway there but can’t find the right left turn.
1/2
>>
>>37574083

Finally when you get a feeling for it you feel Kat tap you on your shoulder bringing you back to reality, she’s pouting at you.

“You were doing that thing again,” She sighs, “That’s really concerning, you know?”

“Sorry, sorry,” you say rubbing your eyes, and looking around. You probably have only been walking for five ten minutes, you don’t usually come this way though and you’re not too terrible familiar with the area.

Even being unable to see the currents and tides you still can see the concentrated darkness that nightmares make up. You can see two close by, one not quite formed yet in a bus stop and another on the side of a bar.

Kat asks, “So… what does it look like?”

“What does what look like?” you ask, “The nightmares?”

She shakes her head, “Sorta, but more every?”
