He sighs heavily. "I would suggest seeing to Yamcha before you do anything else. I imagine he will have quite a few questions when he wakes up. In the meantime, I will contact King Kai."

As you move to leave the throne room, you halt at the door, deciding to ask Kami something else.

"You are free to use the Lookout to train whenever you wish," Kami tells you. "You have used the training I offered here for the good of the Earth, and have therefore earned the privilege. But, I must insist that, if your friends wish to train here, they use that training for the good of others, not just for the desire to become stronger."

You make a mental note to discuss that with your friends, and finally leave Kami to contact King Kai. You make your way to the area of the building containing bedrooms, and, following Yamcha's energy signature, locate his room. You're not sure if he's awake or not, or what state of mind he'll be once he wakes. Could Possa have left some effects lingering within your friend even after his departure?

You consider finding Popo and asking him what to do. After all, other than Kami, he's the most knowledgeable person on the Lookout. Besides, interrupting Kami while he's doing you a favor would be rude. Still, if Yamcha is awake in there, you could save yourself a bit of running.

So you open the door, finding Yamcha sitting in his bed, looking around in confusion. He doesn't look hurt, at least, and you silently thank your judgment for keeping you from doing any real damage to your friend.

When he sees you, a bit of relief seems to wash over him. You wonder if he's just happy to see a familiar face, or if he remembers attacking you.

"Kaguya, hey," he greets. "What am I doing in the Lookout?"

"Do you remember anything?" you ask.

He leans back, thinking a moment before shaking his head. "No. I just had a weird dream. I was in the lab at Capsule Corp, and you were there. Then you left, and I heard this laugh, and then, it felt like something was crawling into my brain. And now I'm here."

You explain to Yamcha that it wasn't a dream. You detail how he was possessed and followed you, attacking you just outside of West City. You proceed to explain everything that Kami told you about the creature you're dealing with, especially how to kill it.

"Great, so some monster used me as a puppet," Yamcha grumbles. "But, at least we should be able to beat it, so long as it doesn't get ahold of you."

He laughs nervously, and you let his comment sink in. You're the strongest person on this planet by a pretty large gap. Even Goku, were he to multiply his power twenty times over, would still fall short. And you remember how that creature seemed so confident that it could free its master once it had you.

If you get possessed, your friends are pretty much doomed.

"We should find Goku and Gohan," you suggest.

Yamcha nods. "Good idea. Those two seem to attract trouble. But, I think you should stay here."

Probably seeing that you would immediately argue, he raises his hands in a placating manner.

"Look, you're the strongest person on Earth," he tells you. "So, if that thing takes control of you, we don't stand a chance! How about you just stay here for now, at least until we find out where that thing is?"

"Fine," you tell him reluctantly. "But what happens once you find it?"

"Well, hopefully we can just kill it," he tells you. "If not, at least we'll know it's in a person and not just waiting to attack you out of nowhere."

"If I stay here, you have to show me at least one of the secret moves you learned from King Kai," you tell him.

He chuckles. "Alright kid, you got me. I guess I don't have much choice if I want to keep you out of trouble, do I?"

He smirks, getting into a fighting stance and gathering up his energy. You feel something about him begin to change, and start to worry. But this feels different from when he was possessed. It feels less like something else taking over, and more like another part of him coming forward.

"Kaio-Ken!" he yells.

A red aura immediately surrounds him, and his clothing, hair, and even his skin turn the same color. His power level quickly begins to increase, climbing higher and higher until it reaches the point of being double what it was before.

Yamcha exhales, and the aura fades, his power level quickly regressing to normal. You know this technique well. Goku has used it in front of you many times.

But it looks like Goku isn't the only person who knows the Kaio-Ken now.

"So, what do you think?" he asks.

He grins, clearly pleased with himself and enjoying the praise. Of course, you don't mention that you've seen Goku do it countless times, and, that even if he multiplied his power twenty times over, he'd still be a lot weaker than you.

"How did you learn it?" you ask.

"King Kai told me," he answers. "You see, when you were fighting Frieza on Namek, King Kai was sure that you didn't have a chance. I bet that you would win. And you did."

"What else did you learn?" you ask.

He chuckles. "Maybe you'll see some day, kid. But for now, we had a deal. I showed you one of the techniques King Kai taught me, so you have to stay here."

"Too bad I can't use it," you lament. "Goku said something about my body turning into a bomb of energy if I tried."

Yamcha frowns. "Hmm, I'm not sure how that works. Maybe you should ask King Kai the next time he talks to you."

With that, Yamcha rushes out of the room, on his way to find Goku and Gohan.

You find yourself wondering where Popo is, and sense for his energy. Sensing him within Kami's throne room, you wonder if enough time has passed for you to return there. Hopefully, King Kai has been agreeable and already sent out warnings.

Before you can make up your mind on talking to Kami, another though occurs to you. You are allowed to use the Lookout for training. And, the Pendulum room is nearby. You could go face a real challenge while you are confined here. Or, perhaps you could go back and see what Kami did to defeat Possa last time. He mentioned some sort of technique, but you're not sure what it was or how it worked.

You make your way to the room in question, hearing the sound of the massive pendulum moving back and forth as you approach the circle in the center. As you approach, your mind shifts to thoughts of....

Stepping into the circle, your mind has been overrun with thoughts of the most powerful opponent you ever battled; the tyrant Frieza.

The last thing you see is a bright flash of light before you find yourself in a familiar place. The location is quite similar to Earth in some ways, and very alien in others. And, it should appear alien, for it's an alien planet.

Planet Namek.

But, beyond the landscape, what catches your attention is the massive structure in front of you. One you recognize as Frieza's ship. A ship currently surrounded by armor-clad warriors of many races.

Atop the ship, floating in some sort of chair is the mighty alien warrior you had been thinking about. Although, this time he is in the form your first saw him in, a form even Yamcha could most likely best.

Frieza peers down at you, an expression of mild curiosity on his face.

"Well, I don't believe that this is the appearance Namekians are known for," he comments as he takes a good look at you. "And you're certainly not one of my soldiers. I'll admit, child, you have peaked my curiosity. Who are you, and what made you consider approaching myself and my forces a wise decision? Simple curiosity, or some childish delusion of playing hero?"

"I'm here to fight," you tell Frieza.

"Is that right?" Frieza asks. "Well, I'm afraid all I can offer you is a slaughter. Soldiers, kindly give our little Super Human the conflict he came here for."

"Sir, yes sir!" his men shout, rushing towards you.

Raising your hands and gathering energy, you unleash a volley of energy blasts against your hilariously outmatched opponents.

The soldiers nearest to you are incinerated instantly as your blasts strike them. The others are either consumed in explosions caused by other blasts, or tossed into the air from their impacts. Those that aren't immediately slain die seconds later as you pick off the disoriented soldiers.

You look up at Frieza, who returns your gaze with a look of amusement.

"Quick question, are you the strongest member of your family?" you ask.

Frieza chuckles. "A curious question, my young friend. And one I suppose I can answer. I am the mightiest being in the universe, second to none. But, I suppose you already knew that. After all, you knew who I was and sought me out."

He activates his scouter, smiling as he reads what it tells him.

"I believe the better question is not whether I am the strongest member of my family, but what you intend to accomplish here today," he says. "I daresay you have my attention, and if that was your aim then I applaud you, as you now most certainly have it. But, before anything else, indulge me, do all of you "humans" possess this level of strength? To most, a power level of eighteen thousand is most impressive. It may be incredibly insignificant when compared to my own power level of five hundred and thirty thousand, but someone with your capabilities is more than qualified to serve me in some capacity."

"What?" he demands, sounding angry now.

Taking a deep breath, you let out a yell, gathering your energy. The ground shakes, the wind howls, the water thrashes about, crashing into the shore. Frieza's eyes widen as his scouter appears to go haywire, soon exploding on his face.

And still, you continue gathering strength. Your power grows higher, and higher, until finally you reach your full level of power, and prepare yourself for a fight.

"Well, it seems that you have something to back up that confidence after all," Frieza comments, removing himself from his floating chair and staring down at you. "But I would say you gravely overestimate your own power. Still, if you truly wish to challenge me, I suppose I can dirty my proverbial hands and discipline an unruly child."

For a moment it occurs to you that you sound just like Vegeta. And, right now, brimming with confidence, seeing yourself as the ultimate warrior facing a hopelessly outmatched foe who doesn't even begin to grasp just how far out of his own league he is, you begin to understand how Vegeta sees virtually every fight he finds himself in.
