The United ZI Republic had commissioned your hunter group/tribe as an auxiliary mercenary force to stop a rampaging warlord who followed some tenants of the legendary warlord who started the Guylos Empire, most importantly that might makes right and only the strongest should rule.

This was your first actual combat mission along with Claude's and Moonbay's, you were the squad leader in a command wolf-officer type loaned to you by the ZI republic. The 3 of you were ordered to scope out the base and see if there were any combatants within the area much less the condition of their zoids. A simple scouting milk run.

But as always everything went to hell, Claude had gone ahead and broke formation, his triggerhappy/pyromanaic tendency's getting the best of him as he sent his zoid ahead and to your horror he found a group of refugees/enemy non combatants.

You and Moonbay were too late as Claude opened fire on them, citing reason that in warfare there were no such things as Non-Combatants, only the weak and the strong, shortly after Claude was officially exiled and sentenced to die alone in the middle of the Zi-Deserts his arms and legs broken to ensure that his death was slow and very painful.

"It seems even the Zoid mother has a sick sense of humor or to be blunt, Claude is too stubborn to die and he picked the wrong type of zoid... he needs to pilot a cockroach type if those even exist." You snarled out in anger before exhaling.

"So besides that, how are you doing?" You asked as Beatrix flashed her Zoid's Battle license.

"I've been invited to the Annual A-Class Cup tournament, The winner gets 1,000,000 ZI-Creds as well as having an opportunity to enter the S-Class Royal Cup!"

From the right entrance came out Moonbay's Darkhorn came out and it's canons were spinning, and from the left entrance was Gyanko's Shield Liger which roared out in defiance of the incoming remote-zoid swarm

Claude would never learn... after all these years he still stuck with the same tactics of swarm and brute tactics. The targeting reticule popped up on the viewscreen before locking on to the tail-junction of Claude's Zoid.

"Now!" You screamed as the underside shock-cannons of your liger zero fired damaging the fragile connection joint and causing the lights of claude's zoid to go dark and the drill tail to fail and slump.

As much as you wanted to press the attack it was wiser to lay low and wait, the Liger zero let out a low growl as it started to slowly stalk it's way to a more sound position for another attack.

"Claude's not out of this yet..." You say only to grip the control sticks... "Careful liger."

Within the cockpit of the Stinger. Claude was busy trying to regain full functionality, much less his beloved Tail drill as he commanded what forces he could still control to attack the convoy guard before cackling madly as a notification appeared on claude's command screen

In your mind's eye you were picturing something, a weapon... something to cut this zoid down to a more respectable size as the liger zero started to take on a deep electric blue tint to it's armor.

The Convoy guard as well as your fellow party members fired when you screamed those words attack and flank, though claude let out a maniacal laughter as he fired his charge particle beams though thanks to the chaff it was partially defused but it still packed power yet the shocking thing was, his zoid didn't need to be anchored down when charging.

"NOW YOU ALL DIE!" Claude laughed out only to scream as he was knocked back by a dark bluish black blur.

Claude's day went from estatic to down right horrifying as the armor of his deathstinger was slashed away no thanks to the constant assault of the Liger-0's Zandatsu's Katana combined with Aelon's own hit and run tactics, but the addition of Shelling and constant fire from various angles was wearing down on the death stinger as it started to glow once more.

"NO?! The Time Limit!" Claude yelled out as the deathstinger began to shrink in size, it's various systems starting to power down to prevent overloading from excess energy

The Katana would start to vibrate and grow in size as the Liger-0's Ion boosters kicked into overboost ancient archaic symbols swirled around the Katana.

"ICHIGEKI HISSATSU!" you would yell out in a very hot blooded tone as a bright flash of light danced across Claude's Zoid as the Liger-0 Zandatsu stood behind the still shrinking deathstinger before it split apart into 2 equal halves, though claude's ejection seat activated at the last moment his body heavily wounded and his arms now revealed to be augmented with cybernetics.

"ZANTENZUKEN!" you finished saying as said deathstinger exploded. The Liger however flicked the oil/ichor of the now destroyed Zoid core off said katana and sheathed it's blade before reverting back to it's regular state before slumping over suffering from a power drain related system freeze.
"AELON?!" Moonbay yelled out into your earpiece. "AELON?!"
