This is where the story gets a little contrived and difficult to believe.

It seems awfully convenient for Drake to have an "escapist" ability right then and there, and even more convenient for the Storyteller to have forgotten all about it...

And it doesn't help that any Google searches for "'drake' 'skurret' 'seraph'" turn up nothing.
