My reasoning for this is both paranoia and care.

Speed is lethal. And useful in a lot of situations.

Regarding Force Manipulation: From the description, it sounds like a lesser version of the Mind Trick, possibly a beginner stage before we can learn that and other mind arts. As the Mind Trick can be shrugged of by the strong willed, we should assume a lesser version is mostly useless here.

Getting something with immediate utility would serve us better right now. Once we're in a secure position, then we can start learning abilities with less immediate applications.

Thanks for the description of Xanth's hair cut. That was all I needed to make the finishing touches. As this quest progresses onward, I'll keep updating his head sketch. You do your best to ignore her advances, you do not feel comfortable reciprocating even if just as a game, mostly because you do not trust her enough to be honest and not try to use what you may say and do against you.
