With an almost unnoticeable flick of the wrist you deflect the hilt back toward Rodrik, and as he turns to see what damage he seems to believe he'd done to you he is greeted by the hilt smacking him sharply in the face. Unfortunately it does not hit him hard enough to do anything interesting like break his nose. It does however send him reeling.

Several of the other apprentices laugh, including a few from the other Masters' classes. Rodrik's face twists in rage and he looks you dead in the eyes.

Rodrik's lips part to speak but before he can Master Jorrak's voice cuts through the hall.

"Indeed Mister Rodrik, it would have been very unfortunate if your inability to control your sabers had resulted in anyone getting injured."

The look on your Masters face tells you he knows full well Rodrik intended to hit you, but as he cannot prove it Rodrik cannot be punished.

Nivah turns to you and tilts her head in confusion.

I almost feel bad for Rodrik. He goes his entire life knowing he's gonna be a powerful sith. He has way more training than almost anyone here.

Nivah's face suggests that she had not considered that possibility. For a moment a shadow of worry crosses her face, but she looks up at you and it seems to pass. It seems she sees your friendship as more important than whatever potential threat Rodrik may posses to her. Rodrik stalks past you with a glare that could kill, but makes no move against you likely for fear of further humiliating himself. Surprisingly Nivah glares at him as he passes and her gaze holds an intensity you did not think she was capable of. Rodrik also seems caught off guard by her gaze and stumbles slightly as he passes. You resist the urge to chuckle.

The rest of the lesson passes with little in the way of excitement. You perform a few more times just for the sake of passing the time, and Master Jorrak give a few more pointers concerning control and pulling through and around obstacles. By the time the lesson is over it is getting late. You have time to eat and socialize before you go back to your dorm and head to bed. Your meeting with Cael'la was meant to occur now.

You regard her cautiously as she holds her hands up as a sign of non-agression. She is armed as you are however her blade is sheathed. It appears that she will not speak until you put your weapons away.
