With even more questions than answers you exit Elyadien’s room. Seems like destiny doesn’t let you catch a break.

The Micerian regiments weren’t only sent to stop prisoner riotings as they believed. There where heretical cults who apparently praised some kind of daemon god. Worst thing was that you couldn’t do much but wait. If you told anyone about this they would wonder where did you get such sensible information and probably interrogate you to death…

“All personnel destined to deploy on Plinia Vesus come to the armory to be given a rebreather. Emperor Protects” Said a semi mechanical voice over the vox system.

Almost everybody stopped what they were doing and headed to the armory as ordered. There were even soldiers not totally clothed or with shaving cream and unfinished beards walking.

Only two days until the destination was reached, only two days…

You were really scared of the war that waited on that planet. There could be daemons like the Red Hook but by the thousands, maybe even more. Your body shuddered in fear, something that you forgot you could do at all.

Unable to do anything else you joined the stream of soldiers and walked to receive the equipment necessary to survive on the surface of the soon to be doomed planet. Unlike the regular guardsman the rebreather that you got was better and more sophisticated. You didn’t know if it was because of your AdMech status or because of your position as the escort of one of the Commissars. Apathy involved your mind and at the end it didn’t mattered to you. You doubted that a better breathing mask would be the thing that would save you.

You were sure that Plinia Vesus was the place where you would die.

> C: Walk to the Mechanicum Cathedral and try to create better weaponry or bionics for you.
Time to be a nerd.

With the rebreather stored in your pouch you walk now towards the Machine's cult cathedral. You hope that with your newly gained respect among the few surviving skitarius on the ship they would let you access to their more sacred and powerful weaponry and bionics.

Once inside the techpriests living there greet you with awe. Haxmas still seems to be a little bit shaky from observing the daemon and Johane wears a black cog on her neck as a symbol of mourning for all the dead Skitarius and specially for the lost of Deagront.

After descending you can still see the damage that your battle led on the walls. Most of it has already been repaired but there are still scorching marks on some corners.

"Skitarii Heracor. What brings you there?" Asks a totally armoured Skitarii towering over you. His name was unknown to you but you knew he was a well known member among them.

"I would like to become stronger, I request access to the cogitators and blueprints to be able to build better gear for my persona." There was pride in your voice. He might be strong and powerful but considered you one of theirs, there was nothing to be afraid of.

"You talk like a true warrior. Everybody wants to become stronger after battling..." He raised one of his claws and moved it towards his chest. "You have my permission, but remember to considerate the machine spirits. Skitarius like us don't only have to deal with the myriad of enemies but also the anger of badly treated machines."

>B: Build one of those weapons: Ogryn Ripper Gun

The machine accepted your orders and started buzzing, not far away a set of mechanical arms started gathering the materials and building on their own. You started chanting the litanies of gratefulness towards the generous machine and soon a chorus of three servitors was behind you empowering your voice.

After a hour of singing, applying sacred oils and doing methodical procedures the weapon was done. It was simple yet powerful. Crude and simple but undoubtedly created by the marvellous human intellect.

You tried to grab the gun and it at first seemed way too heavy for you. If it weren't because of your bionic arm you wouldn't even be able to raise it at all. This weapon was obviously built for Ogryns and not regular humans...why did you even built it?
Even if the weapon was way too heavy and not suited for your hands you took it to the shooting grounds. It gathered a few odd looks from the other practising members and one of them even burst in laughter.

>B: Build one of those weapons: Sniper rifle

You return somewhat ashamed, not because of the laughter of the others but because you created a machine spirit who would now have no real purpose. You place with difficulty the heavy shotgun and ready the machine to work on reverse and try to recycle its components as best as it can.

Accessing your memory banks you try to remember what weapons would suit you best and which ones have you seen in action so far. You remember the Eldar infiltrate using a strange sniper rifle and destroying the health powering bodies that the Red Hook carried in its back with deadly precision.

Your bionics eyes could help you aim and locate enemies, besides the further you were from the battle the safer you would be. A sniper rifle would not be such a bad idea it seemed.

Once again you had to sang and help with rituals while creating the weapon but this time it took longer. Obviously the sniper rifle was a way far more sophisticated weapon and thus needed more work.

Back to the shooting grounds you once again got stinky eyes and a few humiliating laughs. Those Skitarius used mid distance or close weapons and weren't used to see someone practising with such weaponry.

You moved the bulls eyes as further as you could and then looked at the scope. The objective was obviously way closer but the center of it was still far. Your breathing and own heart pulse made aiming hard as the weapon couldn't stay quiet even after you locked the servos of your legs to make them stay as still as possible.

After you pulled the trigger the gun's recoil punched you hard on your chest. After a few groaning you looked at the bulleye and saw that while hitting the objective the bullet didn't got as close as you would have desired.

Indeed but remember that the protagonist only has 40 hours left and he still needs to sleep and such. Besides a Sniper rifle is not the best weapon in the middle of a battlefield. He is still working for the Commissar Oihan and she's the kind of girl who goes onto the first line of the battle.

>>
>>37306477
No, they aren't trap options. I'm just saying that in my opinion bringing a sniper rifle to the middle of a battlefield isn't the most clever thing having in mind that we gotta stay close and protect Oihan.
>>
>>37306523
What about close range weapons then? Can we search for power scythes or something?
>>
>>37306542
Yeah, there was also a section in the database about close range weaponry.

I'm gonna add new options because I'm getting confused about what to do:

>A: Continue with the Sniper Rifle
>B: Look the database again and search for another weapon.
>C: Try to learn about weapon schematics and workings.
>>
>>37306571
>C: Try to learn about weapon schematics and workings.
More knowledge and technical know-how means better inventing re-discovery.
>>
>C: Try to learn about weapon schematics and workings.

Testing weapons by trial and error and wasting materials on building just to destroy them shortly after was borderline heretical. Most forges had to use long processing lines to create weapons and this Cruiser was blessed with a automatic machine that while it took longer to build managed to create any weapon with only one techpriest around and you misused it not only once but twice.

You placed the sniper rifle in the recycling receptaculum and some robotic arms started breaking it apart soon after. It was heartbreaking to see such a powerful and useful tool to be killed. You looked at your chest and there was a bruise on it from the recoil of the weapon, a punishment from the machine spirit.

It would be a better idea to plug yourself on the database and learn about the weapons instead of building them. Once inside the machine a list with all the options appeared.

B: Read a specific chapter: Chain Weapons, Slug Weapons, Laser Weapons.

>ACCESING CHAPTER 2 OF CLOSE COMBAT WEAPONRY INFORMATIO:

-//CHAIN WEAPONS: Chain weaponry is any kind of weapon that makes use of a engine to impulse a chain fitted with saw ended edges. It can be fitted into many frames and forms being the most common one the Chainsword.

When creating a chain weapon we have to be sure that the revving is stable enough to not destabilize the hand of the wielder. It has to be light enough to be able to be wielded with one hand and strong enough to pierce armour.

The engine can be of multiple patterns being the three most common types promethium, electrical and plasma:

>1-Promethium engines:
They create as a by-product toxic fumes and cannot work on void. They are the most easily repairable and stable ones by far. It's the most common type of engine found on this kind of weapons.

>2-Miniature Electricity generatoriums:
Can be fitted and adapted to work on chainswords or other chain weaponry. The most silent and least powerful ones but able to work on almost any enviroment including void. They can be fitted with a manual power handle that can charge the batteries while not battling.

>3-Plasma engines:
The most exotic and powerful ones. They not only give incredible power to the chain weapon but also heat the blades of the saw due to the massive heat generated by the weapon. Like any plasma weapon it's machine spirit is really strong and can become angered exploding violently.
(1/2)
>>
>>37307300

Not all the saws of the chain weapons are the same. While undistinguishable on the battlefield if inspected on a safe environment once can perceive that the form and even sharpness of the weapons vary from model to model:

>1-Triangle or sharp angle formed edges:
Used to cut down materials like wood when sharp and used to destroy hard rocky structures when dull. It isn't barely used outside construction working.

>2-Curved saws:
Work more effectively on organic materiel. If it is dull it will crush bones instead, some rough riders and bike squads prefer dull saws.

>3-Exotics:
It isn't unknown to encounter chain weapons models who have unique personalised saws who fit uniquely its owner.

As said before there are many frame were the chain can be suited. Here are some examples.

>1: Swords: By far the most common and used frame. Easy to maintain and use.

>2: Axes: While the form of the Axe multiplies the kinetic force and turns the weapon into something more devastating it leaves less space for the saw and the engine. They are harder to handle than the swords.

>3: Scythes: Improvement to the ChainAxe. Offers longer reach but needs the two hands to be wielded. Users without proper training are prone to hurting themselves.

>ACCESING CHAPTER 2 OF SHOOTING WEAPONRY INFORMATIO:

-//SLUG WEAPONS: Slug weaponry uses a solid propellant to impulse the slug towards the direction it has been aimed at. One of the Humanities most ancient kind of weapon and originated from the minds of old terrans. They can be suited with different kinds of ammunitions. Most slug weapons have "Automatic Varieties that make them shoot while the trigger is still pushed"

Slug weapons fall under those categories:

>Pistols:
Easy to handle and use. Shoot small calibre bullets. Not very powerful but cheap and easy to maintain. Mid-short range. They have automatic varieties.

>Shotguns:
Powerful on a close range. Shoot a cone of pellets stored inside a shell. High recoil and easy to build. They have automatic varieties.

>Machine guns:
Shoot a stream of bullets. Best used on a mid range. They can be switched to work on automatic, semi-automatic and single shoot manners. Most common weapon employed by the PDFs.

>Sniper Rifles:
Designed to be used at a long distance. Shoots a single slug with a lot of force and strength. Best used if inclined or lying on the ground. While automatic varieties exists those are not common.

Ammunition types:

>Acid:
Contains small corrosive acid on its interior and are specially powerful both against organic materials and machine workings.
>Fire:
Contain magnesium and other inflammable chemicals that produce a exothermic energy outburst when impacting. Specially useful against organic enemies and vegetable life.
>Penetrative:
Drill tipped bullets that have a more concentrated load of propellant. They are designed to hole and pierce armour but aren't as powerful against organic matter.
>Hollow point:
Cheapest kind of anti personnel bullets. Those hollow bullets rip open inside the objective and shred once inside.

Accessories:

>Stock:
Reduces spread. Those are totally necessary on machine guns and sniper rifles.
>Scope:
Adds accuracy. Almost all sniper rifles have a scope.
>>

If we can get a twin-linked laspistol, that's a really good sidearm and powerful gift for any commissar.
>>
Laser chapter was shorter than you thought as pretty much every las weapon has a slug counterpart and they both share the same role. The only differences are in the ammo type. You read it quickly and then search for twin-linked. A concept that you always wanted to learn about.

>SEARCHING: TWIN-LINKED

You clicked on the first link and read the page

>Twin-linked weapons are two ranged weapons of any type that share the same targeting information and fire actuation link. This system allows the linked weapons to be fired in tandem, increasing their destructive power.

>>
>>37307762
Twin linking the lasgun seemed like a good idea. It could share the same power pack limiting the shoots per charge to half but as you learned from the Informatio Database laser weapons have no recoil or spread.

You entered your beloved lasgun inside the scanner and looked at its entrails with curiosity and affection. While it was true that it was pretty new and barely shoot it was still in pristine condition, it's machine spirit happy and pleased.

Twin linking it should have been done since the moment of creation. Adding a younger laser chamber implies adding another machine spirit. This might make the more recent lasgun shoot less or even don't shoot at all from the dominance of the other one. If this weapon were created from the first instant twin linked this would have been solved since the two machine spirits would have been already merged since creation.

Only time and rituals will turn both machine spirits into one and turn it into its full potential. Same happens with every modification added on it from now on. Changing a weapon was a slow and delicate procedure.

After a hour of work you designed a good and non intrusive way to add the second laser into the main one and all the wiring needed to make them both grab their energy from the power pack.

Two hours later the weapon was done. You grabbed it and placed your hands on both parts. The older one was warmer and buzzed lightly while the newer one was cold and silent. It was obvious to you that the original pa abrts were angry while the newer ones where scared.

You let your two lasguns to communicate on their own placing the newly fused weapon on your back. There were two ways of letting their respective machine spirits fuse and find peace. One was passively letting them talk without using the machine, after a while the all-logic minded spirits would end understanding that working together was the most beneficial thing and they would synch, this process was safe and easy to do but it was unknown how much time it would take. The other version was a ritual not very different to some Imperial marrying ceremonies were each gun empties a power pack by itself, then they are taken care for and slowly making them shoot together. You heard that doing the second ritual was better if the machine spirits talked first on their own for some time.

While they chatted on their mute and secret language you logged in the database again and searched for the bionics library.

Scope/Lens Linkup is a bionic that links the scope of his lasgun with his own lens. He basically sees what the scope see and thus improves his aim a lot but becomes vulnerable to what surrounds him as he stops perceiving his surroundings.

Oooo so the scope link up allows nifty coverfire tricks and improved sniping but wide open to ambush... temping but not sure yet.

Man with how many toys we get to pick from this should of been a pastepin link! So much info so little time.. live and learn I guess

Torso section does'nt have many jumping out at me here. we're under time pressure so we can't go shopping spree with our guts..

Whats the sheathed sword bionic worth since we already installed it. I guess that covers my want of CQC better then any kind of regular sword could and upgrade choices sound interesting...
>>
>>37309407
Snipers work in teams or something so if we do go sniper route, we'd have someone to watch our back.
>>
>>37309430
I'd rather a more all rounded approach honestly, our twin link lasgun is gonna be brutal on headshots and might even give a traitor marine a run for his armors money if we can amp up the power of the shot somehow. Big might though. But if we're running into chaos marines we have serious shit going down. Just one of those fuckers has great odds on killing us I'd wager.

I'd like to improve combat options more then being a one trick pony here. We already seem to have a healthy spread of versatile options as is though. Guess we'll find out as the infodump continues.
>>
>>37309300
How about we update our Poor Vision Adaptation and Sheathed sword and could I get some sort of estimate on time costs for the Micro-void Shield and Emergency Miniature power Generatorium?

In my opinion The Butcher could kill a space marine in melee combat because demon stuff but the guy was pretty dumb since all he did was advance and barely had means of distance combat. In a 1vs1 combat with a marine who is at a distance an has a bolter the marine would win.

+ Substitute Organs
+ Subdermally Armor ( LOCKED )
+ Poor Vision Adaptation ( ALREADY INSTALLED - CAN BE UPDATED )
+ Scope/Lens Link

+ HEAT visibility spectrum

I would go with these! Or maybe some upgrades to our mechatendrites. Anyways, we should ask about unlocking the armor. That would increase our survivability substantially.

Wouldn't Heat vision be next to useless on a lava planet?
>>
>>37310003
yes
>>

I don't think they'll just unlock it for us if we ask nicely I'm afraid. And hacking would take some time and comes with risks. Even with the downfall of a demon on our list of good deeds mechanicus adeptus doesn't give many fucks about it.

The other options I can see being useful except for HEAT vision. we're going for lava world which means all those thermal readings will be all over our fucking eyes and just confuse us if used. Also Sheathed Sword info pls? I kinda want to know about what we can upgrade to.

Infodumps be huge. they see us trucking. piles of infoshit dumping.

Heracor's body right now Generates 200 energy points

>MILITARY VOX CASTER: Consumes 5 points
>NEURAL PORTS: Consumes 5 points when using.
>PORTABLE SOLAR GENERATORIUM: Generates 25 points when in sunlight and 15 when in artificial light
>MILITARY RETINAL LENSES: Consume 10 points when using Night Vision and 15 when using X-Rays
>UPGRADED MECHADENDRITES: Consume 3 points each with a total of 18 points.
>COMPLEMENTARY CEREBRAL COGITATII: Consume 15 points when using the auto-aim
>SHEATHED GAS-EJECTED BLADE: Consume 5 points to sheathe and unsheathe each time.
>PISTON POWERED LEGS: Consume 1 point for every feet of fall

I will implement this power/consumption generation mechanic so you guys don't powergame and turn him into a bionic filled freak. If Heracor gets without energy he doesn't dies but gets shut-down for a few minutes. Here are what consume the other bionics

Volcano planet means lots of smog, aka not so much sunlight. Our solar panels aren't going to get much use so an alternate generator would be useful, especially if we wind up lost and trapped underground.
+ Substitute Organs
The less squishy parts the better though this proceedure may take a while? If it doesn't encroach on our remaining time too much then I think this would be great to get
+ Subdermally Armor ( LOCKED )
Should ask a skitarius about unlocking this though we probably just can't get it now.

>>Subchapter 1.2 Back
+ 6 Mechadendrites ( MAX SAFE CAPACITY REACHED )
Can we upgrade the strength of these at all? Or find some more attachments to plonk on the end perhaps?
+ Flexible Non-rigid spine
Sounds incredibly useful. Allows us to use our bionic legs at higher strengths and reduces the risk of mechadendrites breaking our back
>>
>>37310214

>Chapter 1: Torso

>>Subchapter 1.3 Arms
+ Clawed fingers
Not massive priority, might also make repairing or other dexterous tasks more difficult
+ Electoos for those wondering, electoos are like metallic filaments that can carry electricity and unleash it
Quote from another source "Electoos are metallic strips bonded sub-dermally to enable Tech-priests to channel limited amounts of energy; an extreme example are the renowned Electro-priests, who turn themselves into crackling founts of electricity in battle. Electoos enable the user to directly absorb electricity from equipment or power sources and then expel it, with sometimes devastating results."
Recharge capabilties again sound super useful and if we can go the massive electric discharge route that'd be awesome too. Might be able to make last ditch efforts to kill big things by grabbing a generator and hugging them. I reckon we should grab these.
+ Micro-void Shield.
Sounds great
+ Bionic arm (1 OF 2 ALREADY CONVERTED )
The more metal the better

After we're done with this maybe a good nap and some training time. Heracor will have alot of new toys and almost zero experience in using them properly. Plus a little cardio never hurt even a mech cult nerd (unless he's gone full metal but we ain't there yet)
>>

Better definition of sight when using night vision and also some clarify when smoke and such. It isn't perfect but its better than nothing.

>X-RAY visibility spectrum ( ALREADY INSTALLED - CAN BE UPDATED )
If Updated we will be able to see what's behind thicker walls and detect hidden weapons.

>Does this make us more susceptible to sonic attacks or simply loud noises? If not, never hurts if we got the time to get this too.
It lets you hear further and even frequencies that the baseline human ear cannot hear. It makes you susceptible to dog whistles and other kind of sonic weaponry.

>Poor Vision Adaptation: It's a firmware update. Takes 2 hours but Heracor can leave the update on a second plane and do other stuff. He cannot use the bionics while they are updating.

Yes, useful fast and has no turnover time, plus can be added in with other eye aug simultaneously
>Poor Vision Adaptation Update
No reason not to
>X-RAY visibility spectrum Update
No reason not to
>Wider audible spectrum
>Clawed fingers
May as well, never know when they come in handy
>Electoos
Massive damage potential, also handy for emergency energy generation. Could probably do some neat tricks with it too beyond the immediately obvious
>Micro-void Shield
This is something we can presumably turn on and off, good to have in emergencies since we can afford the power requirements.
>Magnetic soles
Wallwalking away!

Also upgrade the sheathed blade. I think the current consensus is for an electro one as per >>37311340
Haven't seen any arguments for chain.

Total Time: 21 hours of operation assuming no overlap in delays
-Will feel spasm in his arms for four days aprox.
-Will feel dizzy for 72 hours

>>37312429

Yes please.

As for building in the meantime, did we settle on the melee weapon in the end?
I personally think:
+chainsword
Nice and simple, ready to use
+Curved blades
Best for standard use
+Promethium
Readily available fuel source, powerful and stable. I reckon trying for plasma is asking for trouble.
>>
>>37312517
Also, can we make a flamer and mount it on a mechadendrite? An alternative to las fire might be handy
>>
>>37312517
Yup simple blade for a simple tech priest, we can improve/make a new one once we figure it out ourselves.
>>
Working on the armour info now.

>>37312504
The chain weapon goes like this.

Sword: 1 hour of work
Axe: 2 hours
Scythe: 5 hours

Curved blades: 1 hour of work
Spike blade: 1 hour of work.

Promethium engine: 2 hours
Electrical engine: 2 hours
Plasma engine: 4 hours.

Sword + Curved Blades + Promethium engine = 4 hours.

>>37312546
He still has 4 free dendrites. This operation would stack with the Torso ones and take 1,5 hours. We can make the chainsword and the flamer get their fuel from the same deposit.
>>
>>37312640
So to clarify, are those 4hours on the chainsword occurring WHILST we're under the knife or are we looking at 25hours accounted for now?

Similarly, does the flamer upgrade occur during or alongside?
>>
>>37312754
I think that the chainsword (and armour) can be done at the same time as the operation, but that the flamer addition needs to be part of the operation, adding to it's time.

Yes, Heracor can give instructions to the building machine so it builds while he's being modified. The flamer update is part of his bionics but since dendrites are long it can be modified without interrupting the other techpriests and thus stacks with the Torso operation times.
>>
>>37312914
Skitarii armor, we can have the pre fabs start up the process with out measurements at least.
>>
>>37312914
>Skitarii armour

have it and the sword get made while we are under the knife.
>>
>>37312914
Full Carapace armour
>>
>>37312914
I'm assuming that skitarii is more suited to augmented soldiers, and (maybe) people might start suspecting us of being abnormal if we go carapace?
>>
>>37312914
Tough choice jeeze.

>>37313045
I doubt that but it shows we're developing a taste for combat and preparing accordingly. I'm not sure the 20 energy it will generate is worth while though.

I kinda wanna say carapace because better defense and we're going into a full warzone and will have to keep the commissar safe. She's a huge fan of close combat so the thicker armor might save our skin.

Dammit QM why did you make so many good choices?
>>
>>37313162
The question is, how much better than the skitarii armour is the carapace?
>>
SUMMARY:
>Fabricator Machine: 10 hours
+ Skitarii Armour
+ Chainsword

>Bionics: 21 hours

+ Poor Vision Adaptation Update
+ X-RAY visibility spectrum Update
+ Wider audible spectrum
+ Clawed fingers
+ Micro-void Shield

+ Electro blade sheathing Upgrade

-He will be sedated so his resting will be covered.
-Will feel spasm in his arms for four days aprox.
-Will feel dizzy for 72 hours
-Firmware update, can run in background, 2 and 3 hours of no vision and xray implants during it.

Is this your last choice? It will leave him with 14 hours to train.

BUT MUH CARAPACE ARMOR!
>>
>>37313217
Carapace is made from high quality ceramite. A material who isn't heat conductor and thus isn't almost affected by energy weapons.

Skitarii armour is made from metal and has a small generator. Somewhat like a crude and weak power armor of sorts.
>>
>>37313349
Oihan wears carapace armour. You will be able to look at her ceramite covered booty don't worry.
>>
>>37313376
I thought you didn't want us to romance your GF insert
>>
>>37313354
>Wait a second...
We will generate 220 units of energy, and when we use augments we use units of power.. but, do we have any ability to store power, up to a maximum.
Or am I just totally misunderstanding the system?
>>
>>37313354
Now thats useful to know. Carapace for heavy combat/high grade warfare (Like if we ever want to fuck with a god damn chaos marine)

Skitarii will make for a decent all round medium armor for general combat and bolsters our energy count slightly.

Flak armors for morons or stealthing shit up. I don't see a point to using it unless we HAVE to.
>>
>>37313501
Just say no to cardboard
>>
>>37313416
The only things she shares with my gf is vaguely the name. Try to romanticise her if you dare I wouldn't

>>37313434
It is 200 units of energy, and goes up to +275 ( 20 from the armour + 25 from sunlight + 30 from electoos + indeterminate number from energy stealing sword )

It will always be on those 200 units, using the bionics consume those points but when they aren't used anymore the energy is recovered. Unless many bionics are used at once there is no risk of reaching 0 points.

Oh man what kind of insane tech heresy would be possible if you manipulated the Waaagh field? Sure it demands being near orks but holy shit the possible stuff!

"PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH" You say loud and proudly with the rest of the Skitarius as you explain to them everything you want to be installed on you. They join your praises because they will get a new true member among them.

The machine chimed as the instructions were inserted one by one. You were guided to the main operation room and shortly surrounded by white robed techpriests. One of them grabbed your still fleshy arm and inserted a small needle on it, a blue-ish semitransparent liquid started flowing from a hanging bag directly to your veins. Your body started getting numb and heavier than usual, your surroundings started becoming blurrier and the last thing you managed to see and hear was a mechanical drilling sound heading towards your auditory channels.

On your dreams you found yourself on a amalgam of all the places you visited so far. Architecturally speaking they made no sense at all..In front of you there was a massive glass window that you recognise from the Cruiser you were actually travelling into, on the other side of the wall in showed the cold and empty void but after surrounding it I discovered that on the other side there was the door to Elyadien's room. When I got closer it opened to me.

She was inside looking like a bizarre mix of her Urmo persona and her true self. Eldar armour mixing with her techpriest disguise in impossible ways.

"Do not be afraid of dying Heracor. You have already done good enough in this universe"

Her voice was mixed too, a mixture between her crystalline Eldar tone and her faked human one.

"Do not be afraid of dying Heracor. Dying without fear is one of the gifts that the sons of Terra still posses."

She started becoming greyer until she became dust and disappeared in a flash of wind. You didn't knew if that Elyadien was just part of your imagination and memories or if the Xeno really invaded your mind when it was on its weakest moment.
>>
>>37314216
If we can fully understand and even improve upon DAoT science, We could be close enough to the old ones who made the orks to create our own WAAAGH!!!! type field.
Even if we did learn the prerequisites to do that, We have more importaint things to do.
>>
>>37314364
'Good enough'?
Heracor's just getting started, universe.
>>
>>37314364
She's in our head! Hide the mechanical porn!
>>
>>37314469
From her viewpoint he has done a lot of good because statistically speaking not a lot of humans in WH40k kill daemons and help Eldar. She's comparing him with all the humanity since for her were all the same bunch of monkeys.

But yeah, he's just getting started!
>>
>>37314577
I'm not sure if good thing or bad if we've won the eldars favor...

Either way she's our only true ally against this heresy even if we don't like it. Just hope to gods we wont get killed horribly by the inquisition when they arrive after this clusterfuck.

>Inb4 they immediately suspect us since it might be obvious to the observant we silently but cleverly spotted and dealt with this shit.
>>
>>37314577
Yeah.
I got that.
No offense but you didn't need to explain her viewpoint, it was just a fun comment.

Also, did you just confirm that she did indeed enter our mind just then?
>>
>>37314666

Favour? More like attention.

And either way, winning the eldar's favour just means being the last one to get backstabbed

After that the lights flickered and the room was suddenly covered by multiple copies of the small and unnamed slave that got into your room. You felt guilty for him since he did provide you with vital information even scared to death and you still let him die on the now almost depopulated slums. They all were sobbing softly but the multiplication of their voices made the crying dig deep into your ears and your conscience.

You closed your lenses in a attempt of making him disappear, he wasn't real after all and if you couldn't see them they wouldn't be there any more...right?

A hot and pressing sensation started burning the skin of your hips and torso, you opened your eyes scared and in front of you was the great daemonic Butcher. The hooks of his arms started strangling your body while he raised his knifes to end you. From the hooks of his back hanged the mutilated bodies of everybody you appreciated, Oihan, The Guardsmen trio, The drill pilot... Worst part was that they were still alive, yelling in pain and accusing you from letting this happen.

You were awakened just before his blades ended you. Your heartbeat going like crazy and all your limbs, both bionic and biologic shaking from fear.

Your internal clock said that the 21 hours were over. Your body was still a little bit numb and you were barely able to walk. Your stomachs begs for food as the only subsistence it has received during all this time has been serum.

Next to you await your new armour and weapons along with a box filled with medication drugs and their instructions.

Looking yourself at the mirror you see the newly installed bionics. There is a small plug behind your right ear were the Scope/Lens link cable goes and your new fingers have clawed tips that retract at your command or when closing the fist to form a punch.

You activate your sword and your forearm opens in two as the sword ejects with a small gas ejection. The sword then buzzes and gets slightly cyan as it starts conducting electricity around it. A small half sphere moves from your elbow to the centre of your newly opened forearm, the sphere starts vibrating and spinning and then a invisible yet distorting void shield forms around it.

Happy with the results you take your first drugs and sluggishly exit the room.

For those wondering how is a void shield. Look at the picture of the two titans. There are some bullets impacting against some sort of force field. That force field is the void shield.
>>
>>37315025
This will be my last reply for today. I think that now is a good moment to end it for now. Also I'm not sure if the pic of above are Imperial Titans or Knights, can anyone answer me?

I'll try to answer questions now and thanks for playing today!
>>
>>37315084
Thanks for running, I think that's a titan. Too big for a knight.

(Though those marines are small compared to civies so... who knows?)
>>
>>37315084
Well while we got jackshit done plot wise we've finally settled our new gear, and will move onto leveling up next thread. TRAINING HO!

Good run good run.
>>
>>37315084
Titans I think but artists janked up the scale with tiny marines.

So How much time do we owe Oihan now? Also how much training time can we get in between minmaxing our gear and talking to our allies?
>>
>>37315158
You know, for an upgrade time with THAT MANY OPTIONS we really did pretty well getting it done AND with a minimal amount of shouting
>>
>>37315025
>void shield
I'm guessing you mean refractor field since, you know, void shields tend to be rather big.
>>
>>37315206
Yeah but we kept a level head and we knew exactly what the future held for us. Most of the shit storms begin because of no forward knowledge on whats to come so everyone wants to pursue their pet project thinking it'll be the best.

Instead we had a clear idea of whats coming and had a number of useful options and picked the best ones given our current constraints. Twas fucking refreshing not having to deal with full blown shit flinging.
>>
>>37315283
We still kicked of with a sniper and an ogryn ripper gun mind you.
>>
>>37314675
I have not confirmed that she's really Elyadien and not Heracor's imagination. Believe what you desire~

>>37315158
Yeah well this is more of a rewarding episode because you guys killed the Butcher and still had a few days left.

>>37315185
She requires ten hours of training and four of work every day but she also gave us free time after dealing with the daemon so I guess that not a lot of time. Even if we stop owing her time we will keep our asses close to her since thats our job.

>>37315234
Well I knew that void shields are a thing that are installed in ships and rather big things and thats why is called "Micro" but I didn't knew anything about refractor shields. If the players don't mind it being incorrectly called I don't see why should I change it.
>>
>>37315283
It was.

>>37315340
Meh the sniper is good for when we're going to have to hold a position sans commissar, and I bet we'll win the friendship of an Ogryn on this planet shortly.
>>
>>37315388
We already disassembled the guns. Also, we have no sniper proficiency and limited time to gain it. It wasn't a sensible choice, it was simply the runner up of the 'pick the biggest gun' options
>>
I'm total shit to describe stuff shortly. Can someone help me with the thread description for sup/tg/?
>>
>>37315388
You forget how accurate Heracor is with his (now) twin-linked lasgun. He's fucking good.

>>37315479
"In which Heracor got his insides replaced and made some new toys" Is my vote!
>>
>>37315450
Ok fair enough, still This'd be good for us to remember in the future.

>>37315479
In which Heracor Augments himself and makes new gear for the inevitable shit storm planets side.

>>37315513
True. frickin aimbot.
>>
Shit...I forgot to write that Heracor dresses himself before heading out.

Next chapter is gonna start with a confused and drugged naked techpriest!

>>37315565
>>37315513
I'm gonna make a mix of those.
>>
>>37315665
Pffffhahaha. I love it. thats good. I like that. Its too funny to just skip.

Well, the refractor field is a bit more common device to be had in the hands of an enginseer part of a ranking officer's retinue.

Personal void-shields however? They exist, but they generally are used by elite enforcers of the Adeptus Arbites and certain Space Marine chapters to my knowledge.

Imperial Guard does have portable void shield generators, but these are intended to shield trenches and the only image I found of one was the size of a bunker.

There's also the issue that if something touches void shield when it's activated, it cuts apart anything that touches it, so depending how long it takes to activate it, it can be used as a power-weapon.
