She'd presumably have an Italian accent, which would maybe sound less foreign to a Granachean (read French speaker) than it would an English speaker, I guess.

On a side note, a guy in the last thread asked about whether Luciana was pronounced with a "ch" sound or and "s" sound and Arch said it was and "s".
In Italian, it would be pronounced with a "ch", but pretty much every other language pronounces it as an "s".
Luciana is the female equivalent of Luciano, which has a "ch" sound and in Italian, Luciana sounds sort of like "Loo-channa".
The "i" is there but it is very quickly glanced over, like the "u" in Satsuke, it is pronounced but very quickly so that it could be missed to someone not listening closely.

Almost immediately after Emilio knocks on the door, it swings open and you're met with Rana's smiling face.

And then there was the Elena incident, and he was told that "It's okay to say no. In fact, it can be dangerous not to."

That was a wake up call I think he needed.

Hell, if you want a more realistic and truthful reason for why we ended up with Luci, it's this: Monique nearly got her, and /tg/'s an immature manchild who views all potential waifus as 'mine' unless it's a lesbian narrative. So in order to guarantee Luci might not end up with someone else, they rushed right into the Luci route.

Because what you're forgetting here is that we didn't even come close to even contemplating Luci as a viable route when the Elena event happened. We did it after the Monique marriage scare. Prior to that, Luci was in the same 'I'm not ready' zone as Sylvie was.

There's two sides to it really.
It's not like Rein hadn't canonically started to look at Luci with some romantic interest (like noticing the way she smelled, the dance, all that jazz) but it never really came to a head until the Monique marriage thing.
Basically, what Rein's reasoning for things is isn't always the same as /tg/'s reasoning for things, even though it results in the same outcome in the quest.
Rein back-and-forth between Sylvie and Luci looks like a realistic result of a kid not knowing what to do when stuck in the middle of a love triangle, but behind the scenes there were greedy waifufags trying to pull the strings in their direction without thinking about anything other than their preferred route.

Not really true. Karel and Emilio are a thing route now, in fact we caused it to happen.
There a lot of anons who like Karel, I think she's best grill, but nobody is flipping shit to stop it.

Choosing Luciana was part seeing how terrible she felt when told about the marriage proposal, part Monique hate, part ingrained sense of servitude to those around us.

Above all I blame the way the story came to a crawl as we progressed through the Marconetti week, which changed how /tg/ envisioned the future of the quest. We thought it would be matter of months with strategic timeskip, turns out it was a matter of days. I don't think arch is responsible for this, he couldn't have predicted it.

Besides, the crystals actually increase the animals physical abilities, making them more likely to survive long enough to gain a soul. The reason the crystals are a pain is because if they become infectious, they keep spreading, risking loss of whatever is in there path.
