Disney Villains Victorious is a /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

Thanks for starting the new thread! I was just going to start a new thread myself but you beat me to it. It's hard to keep contributing in meaningful ways while at work.

I figured I'd post up a new thread before work also If you want a solid way of contributeong we can always use more powers and traits eBen sort of 'out there' ideas are welcome since they can be refined by everyone

Good idea:

>Gravity Falls

I Want to Believe:
Receive +2 to Academics, Science or Occult while investigating the paranormal. Other characters receive +2 in attempts to Persuade and Deceive your character with regards to the supernatural.

Damn Fine Cup of Coffee:
Whenever the character has access to coffee or another signature consumable (a candy bar, a beer, etc.), they may sit down with it and have a good think, granting +3 to Insight.

Who Killed Laura Palmer?:
This character may choose a single mystery or question to claim as their obsession. All skill checks performed in direct pursuit of the truth behing this mystery receive +2.

Secret Keeper:
Receive +1 to Deception and +1 to Endure. Choose one particular, personal secret to keep and receive +3 Deceit while trying to keep it a secret, but -3 to Enduring that secret once it is exposed.

More to come, hopefully.

Slow day it seems, I'm at work so my posting is limited, those traits seem pretty interesting I like the coffee one especially, could work as a generic trait even

It s a little slow, and I'm also at work so my posting isn't as fast or frequent as I would like.

Even though I like to create Traits and powers that are tied thematically to different Lands, I would say that a lot of them could be used more widely, provided it fit the character.

>WALL-E

Robot Buddy:
This character gains +3 to Persuasion while interacting with Robots, Computers and A.I. units. This bonus does not apply to Programs on the Grid or Game Characters.

Wastelander:
This character gains +4 to Endure while surviving in harsh, post-apocalyptic conditions.

Fatty Fat Fatty:
This character's nimbleness rating cannot surpass four, but they are are instead granted +5 to Prevent Harm.

Eco-Friendly:
This character is granted +2 to any action taken to directly help the ecosystem.

Scavenger:
This character is granted +3 to Insight while searching for sustenance, shelter or supplies.

I asked last thread if Detroit Deluxe and Motorcity were workable for Gridlocked. Opinions?
>>
>>37204459
I've never heard of those. I'll have to take a look before I can answer you.
>>
>>37204459
Not seen this series, but I just read it up on wiki and looked on google image search, and from what I've seen, I'd say this definitely fits the general feel of Gridlocked, so my own answer would be yes.
>>

It was a really good show and fits the theme. Like most good shows, it was cancelled too soon.

We might have to move Tempest Tower though.
>>
>>37204925
Honestly I'd Ben wanting to move Tempest Tower as it is in order to give the Axiom a proper landing site. We know from the movie that it touches down at a BnL landing facility in a city that once had a big harbor, so we should try to find a suitable site in Gridlock and center the BUY n' LARGE Wasteland around it.

Going to take a look at those shows now too.

So Doctor Doofenshmirtz and the Gargoyles are in Utah?

>>
>>37218975
I don't know about it flying around.
>>
I found the old KLR for David Xanatos. It's going to need some fixing up to fit in Gridlocked.

>King: David Xanatos – All according to plan.
>For all appearances, Xanatos is merely a normal (if exorbitantly wealthy) man who controls a single city with a small but well respected army. Yet he wields power all out of proportion to his humble appearances. His supposed master, Govenor Radcliffe, allows him almost total autonomy and consults him on all important decisions, Doctor Facilier is said to owe at least two big favors, Queen Maleficient is rumored to bow and curtsey to him, and even Ultrapowerful entities like the Firebird have been seen inexplicably altering their paths to avoid destroying him or his projects, although none of these things can be definitively proven.

>Land: New York city – Crossroads of the world
>New York is accorded neutral territory, recognized by all world powers (at least the ones capable of rational thought). Representatives from the various empires can often be seen near the rebuilt United Nations building. Peace in this diverse environment is strictly enforced by the hulking Gargoyles- some are flesh and blood, some are wholly Robotic, and some are power armored humans, but all utterly devoted to Xanatos.
>It also boasts a technology level second only to Atlantis, and its lucky citizens enjoy a standard of living most normal people of the Villains Victorious world can only dream of, with numerous luxuries like running water, electricity and air conditioning commonly available.
>>
>>37219672
>Rule: Xanatos is a merchant first and foremost and will be receptive to any deal or trade that benefits him in some way, and by the time he finises discussing a deal it will usually benefit him. He seeks immortality for himself and will do and pay much for even a small clue to attaining it, but is also deeply concerned for his city and its citizens and will not do anything that puts them at risk.
>Players on good terms with Xanatos will have a reliable place to buy information, sell artifacts, or arrange meetings with even the most powerful individuals. Players on bad terms with Xanatos will find the difficulty of their journey multiplied as supplies become scarce, neutral groups become hostile and even staunch allies have their power or loyalty undermined.
>Xanatos cannot be defeated directly and all outcomes of any situation he is involved in leave him at least as well off as when he started. Examples: if the players “kill” him, his corpse is discovered to be a robotic duplicate designed to study their abilities; if the players convince him to attack a mutual enemy they will find his army already prepped and ready to go; if the players steal a powerful magic item from him it will turn out to belong to the Horned king, who will stop at nothing to get it back; and so on.

>>
>>37222483
Several threads ago a WALL-E sample character was drawn up and a Gravity Falls character was statted out, and then a lot of good but aimless discussion happened. There's not been a lot of talk about sample characters or writing for some time, so I thought I might try to flesh out some of the bare bones we do have. I don't mean to be presumptuous.

I'd also like to see more of our Classic DTP group.

Right now they've only been mentioned in passing by different Anons and there hasn't been much in the way of writing or drawing with the exception of a great drawing of a combat Fatty from the Axiom and a character reference or three. We might be putting the cart before the horse though in trying to make sample characters before some of the harder decisions and the majority of the fluff have been made for the Gridlock setting.

“Helpful” Ancestors: Mulan may roll twice on Occult/Academics/Science/Insight and take the better result.

She will do this until there are a hundred soldiers under her command.

>>
>>37239634
Syndrome is being included in the expansion to DVV as a King, in base DVV he does not exist as base DVV goes about as far as Atlantis in terms of timeline.

>>37239285
It seems to be mostly a formality on her, an urge she HAS but generally wont fall to as she has a Sense 16+ Insight 6 for a +22 bonus on I think 5d6k3... which with ANY roll actually means she passes since the TN is 25 so even if a DM pumped up the TN on particularly stressful situations she would still be greatly favored to pass on anything below probably TN35 essentially equating that trait to a +2 on melee attacks made against living characters(it should probably be Melee and Brawl in general since not all undead would be using weapons and I am unsure if this was written before Brawl was a thing.
>>
>>37239682
>>37239285
It does seem to be mostly a formality of her Undead status and perhaps indicative of a slight awkwardness or peevishness when interacting with the living.

Maybe I ought to try and write something up from her perspective. We need more fluff in this thread of any sort, Classic DVV or Gridlock. I've just been suffering from some post-holidays exhaustion. I need to get back into gear and start really contributing again.

I know that we may have jumped the gun several threads ago in starting to talk about sample characters while we were still fleshing out and fluffing up Gridlock as a setting, but I couldn't help myself.

The point is that the ancestor spirits that animated her are not some sort of evil-aligned death spirits, but rather the benevolent spirits of hr fallen ancestors. Being a spirit in a body other than a living human, Mulan has more in common with Mushu or the other Ancestor Spirits than a lich from 3.pf, and trying to give her a "all undead are chaotic evil on some level" trait with no background in Disney.

Might look weird in a combination picture with others though. All the DTP have been drawn in Disney Classic/Revival style which blends together really well. Having a lot of different styles could be jarring.

Speaking of, where did drawfag hop off to? I really miss his drawings.
>>
>>37253157
>>37253050
I hadn't specifically requested that she be drawn in the Gravity Falls style, but I think that Fiona's turning out really well in it. I think that it's fine for individual pictures in our "DVV Art Catalog" to be drawn in different styles, especially when those styles are reminiscent of the original source material. If she were featured alongside the Classic DTP characters or other modern characters, you can be sure though that she ought to be drawn in the same style as they are for consistency's sake.

I've also been missing our resident Drawfriend, but I'm sure that he's been busy with his own affairs after the holidays.

This picture is so great. I miss our artist as well.

Motorcity brainstorming time.

>Only Detroit Deluxe matches Kane's vision of tomorrow. The rest of his 'area of influence' is Motorcity, the independent remains of old Michigan that survive in spite of Kane and his efforts.
>The best cars come in and out of Motorcity. They can be seen either racing eachother underground or playing chicken with robots in the Wasteland.
>KaneCo had recently announced plans to expand and create Chicago Deluxe, but they were canceled due to unusual circumstances not made public.

How would Drossel and Kane react to each other?

Also, Ideas for Drossel:
>She constantly bothers other villains with randon attacks that seemingly appear and dissapear at will. Many claim that she has armies of machines buried across America, or that she holds the key to teleportation, but the truth is much stranger. She is one of the few villains aware of the grid, and one of the few with the necessary know how to use it. She can bring herself and small amounts of forces through the grid via sheer force of will and ego. Any where a data assembler is located, she can strike.

>due to the loss of communications from others, Drossel has taken the title of queen, and has begun to establish lesser nobility under her. Most of them are her former minions, but a few are out side robots. Some even say that she has even 'upgraded' humans to serve her, but these are only rumors.
>She keeps records of everything. From ancient research to accounts of the unknown and mystical, almost anything can be found in Tempest citadels vast library. Too bad it's all written in binart
>>
>>37256077
>How would Drossel and Kane react to each other?
Kane would be annoyed that yet another machine was trying to get in the way of progress. Once she insults him (or worse, starts giving him orders), the kid gloves come off and the drones start flying. It's been a while, but I'll refresh my memory on both of them later.

When it was written, Mulan had received a lot more attention than she has of recent from writefagging and brainstorming, and all those pictures painted her as a mostly insane, rage-filled and vengeful walking corpse. Additionally, Against The Living! is, or at least was, intended to be used by all sentient corporeal undead, based on the few representations we have of them in Disney (mostly the Black Cauldron). Moreover, it's mechanically impossible for her to fail the roll with her high Sensibility+Insight, so it's mostly there to represent that 'hey, this woman is an undead horror no matter how noble the spirits animating her might be'.

Just my two cents. Also, that was written in like, thread 17 before the mechanics were finalized so I doubt it's complete.

The live action movies are their own little can of worms--mainly because a lot of the animated sequences in these movies "bleed out" into realspace: our dimension. Aside from that, there's not much to pull from any of them--the "Song of the South" folk tales concerning Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Fox were little more than fables, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks really doesn't work with the game's setting. The only real thing that can be pulled would realistically be Enchanted, and even then I doubt most people know of Giselle or Andalasia--what little was seen of it, anyhow.

A secondary problem with Enchanted comes with where to place it. Andalasia is a pristine, happy place that probably wouldn't look out of place in the Core setting, but the fact that it "bleeds out" into the modern world would put it in Gridlock. I guess which setting it's used in could be put up to GM discretion, but the "modern meets archaic" archetype is already played out in Atlantis against everyone else in the Core setting. Perhaps it could function as another "bridge" from the Core setting to Gridlocked, allowing dashing knights and dragons of old to go up against superheroes, and somehow still have a cohesive storyline that doesn't scream "let's toss every idea we have at a wall and see what sticks because we've obviously written ourselves into a corner on how to ramp this campaign up"?
>>
Morning folks. Glad to be here once again.

>Moreover, it's mechanically impossible for her to fail the roll with her high Sensibility+Insight, so it's mostly there to represent that 'hey, this woman is an undead horror no matter how noble the spirits animating her might be'.

Exactly. Mulan's nothing but an ally to the PCs and the people of China, but she's still an unnerving, shambling terror that is impossible to kill permanently and wants to kill all Huns she comes across.

>>37258823
>Perhaps it could function as another "bridge" from the Core setting to Gridlocked, allowing dashing knights and dragons of old to go up against superheroes, and somehow still have a cohesive storyline that doesn't scream "let's toss every idea we have at a wall and see what sticks because we've obviously written ourselves into a corner on how to ramp this campaign up"?

I feel like this is the only place to put Enchanted without it feeling incredibly shoehorned, but then again, I'm not too familiar with that property beyond the basics.

>>37258506
>>37257725
The live action movies are a bit harder to integrate with the animated properties thematically, so the little use we've gotten out of them have been for flavor and little touches here and there.

Good morning, DVV Imagineers.
>>
>>37259746

Enchanted could basically be summed up as "Disney making fun of itself" in the same vein as Frozen or Tangled made fun of Disney cliches. Andalasia is like some weird cross between Corona and Naboo, with talking animals and a Princess that lives in a cottage, has a talking squirrel companion, and sings constantly. There's an evil stepmother involved that wanted to kill Giselle to claim the throne, and there's a meatheaded Dashing Prince character that also sings constantly. The Princess is a starry-eyed idealist and the Prince has eyes only for her, the stepmother is a conniving bitch--you know the song and dance. Drop in a portal to the middle of Manhattan and add in a plot featuring a divorce attorney showing a princess the ways of the 21st century while she continues to do the spontaneously bursting into song thing and you have Enchanted.

Y'know what, this song and dance sequence probably sums up Enchanted better.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRYU4cqUAUs
>>
>>37260785
You know, what if the Princess from Enchanted doesn't have this grand real-world adventure like in the movie, but instead is met by Xanatos and is treated something like a cross between a political refugee and a hostage? Publicly she is the Princess of Andalasia in exile and is Xanatos' honored guest while she seems refuge in the world of Gridlock. Privately, whether she knows it or not, she's being kept in a gilded cage while Xanatos seeks for a way to access Andalasia, its resources and its magic.

Rescuing her could involve the crew from Oliver and Company because of the talking animal crossover.

I'm trying to write up a Classic DTP piece but it's not coming to me easily. I've got this very clear image of the party riding off into the sunset in my head:

>Sverd, ever the hero, riding with our favorite unconscious, Allosaurus-turned-human on one horse.
>Jeremiah, brooding on his family and what he's just done on his bison.
>Lazarus balancing cross-legged atop Fibber, having a debate on the relationship between Beast and Man.
>Mary riding on the Nautilus hover-bike, irked at it needing to be towed behind one of the horses.
>Hannah riding behind Mary on the bike and slipping the Queen La costume into Mary's pack for later.
>>
>>37261058
In the original series, Xanatos made use of both technology and ancient magics in order to have his way with the world. It makes sense that he's still up to his old tricks and some new ones in the world of DVV. Am I right in thinking that he's the only King with access to magical artifacts in Gridlock?

Did we ever creating a method for statting out fairies in the Classic game? I know we have a whole slew of beasts and Yzmic Chimera more or less codified. Would playable undead a thing in a Hunnic China campaign, or are they best used as Mooks and cannonfodder for Mulan's Spiritual Rebellion?

What are the different playable races for Gridlock?

Are Supers considered their own "race," or are they just humans granted specific Traits and Powers for free upon creation?

Robots certainly seem to be playable, but what about the humans left aboard the Axiom?

We have two types of digital character as well in Tron's Programs and Wreck-It Ralph's game characters.

Gravity Falls is known for its cryptids and demihumans, are they playable as well?

What about Gargoyles?

In some ways, Gridlock might be more diverse than Classic in terms of them types of characters a player might play, if we let them.
>>
>>37265137
On this anon's note, will we still have animal characters in Gridlocked? I imagine we can simply carry the crunch over from DVV for that.
>>
>>37265252
I don't think here should be any problem at all carrying over the Classic rules for animals. As I see it, intelligent animals would fit into several different niches in Gridlock:

>Oliver and Company: naturally.
>Enchanted: Brought over with the princess from her magical homeland.
>Incredibles/Big Hero 6/Kim Possible/Phineas and Ferb: Minor superheroes and mad science experiments.
>Gravity Falls: Paranormal creatures and cryptids.

I'm imagining that a Super character template would start off using a Human template as the base, and would then be granted one free trait that boosts one of the character's attributes to superhuman levels and one free Power that makes use of that boost to do something Incredible.

For instance, May Kang is a Super. Her player stats her out as a Human however he or she likes. She then gains the Trait:

>SUPER-NIMBLENESS:
>This character is superhumanly fast and agile, granting them +5 to their Nimbleness Attribute.

And the Power:

>SUPERPOWER: Flash Step:
>Spend one Will Point. This character can use their super speed to traverse the distance between two points within the immediate vicinity nearly instantaneously. If done while out of Combat, the Will Point is refunded.
>>
>>37265992
I like this as an idea, good job.

howsabout the super being able to combine their trait with something else
say Smarts+SUPER-NIMBLENESS: automatically solve any pass-code encrypted locking system (inputs every possible combo in a fraction of a second until the right one is entered)
>>
>>37266116
That's a good question. In the example you gave, I think that, since the character is trying to brute-force a passcode lock, it might be a matter of using their Nimbleness Attribute along with their Mechanical Skill.

Does It Have A Steering Wheel? - Ignore the time to acclimate to a new type of vehicle, and +2 to Drive checks made with land vehicles.

Round Trip - You're so good with melee weapons, you can use them at a distance. You can treat an item that gives a Melee bonus as having a Ranged bonus of the same level. By magic or sheer skill, you can make a ranged attack with that weapon and it will come right back to you.

Adrenaline Junkie - +2 to Drive, Travel, Acrobatics or Athletics when willingly partaking in an extremely dangerous or life threatening stunt.

---Powers---

Ukemi - Whenever you would take more than one strike from a single attack, you may Test Acrobatics against TN20 to negate all but one of those strikes.

An additional problem with Into the Woods is that it bleeds into other fairy tales that have had Disney movies. That's probably why they changed the script so that Rapunzel doesn't die.

Its villain also isn't particularly villainous, even though she manages to tally up a much higher body count than anyone short of Shan Yu, probably. She really just wants to find her husband's killer, and after that's done she wouldn't really be motivated to do further villainy.

I can't see anything wrong with the crunch, and the mechanics look pretty good. Fluff-wise, it's nice to see a daredevil motorhead character thrown into the mix, as nothing says "modern day freedom" quite like speeding motorized vehicles. I look forward to seeing anything else you come up with for her! Or for him! Ashley's a unisex name so I'm not sure which way you're going with it.

>>37265881
I'll be interested in seeing what becomes of Fiona if more folk write about her or if she becomes part of a modern DTP group. I don't want us to jump the gun though and decide too much before we've got the basics of the Gridlock world finalized. That being said, I've been getting the impression from her stats and profile that she might have the bad habit of answering questions with more questions, and might have a lot of cheerfully vague and mildly troubling stories about her past life in the Oregon Triangle and hitchhiking across the Americas.
>>
Bumping the thread in the hopes more folk will come on for some discussion.
>>
>>37270229
Thank you. Ashley is a man, and he is only fine with his close friends calling him that. To everyone else, he is Crash.

>>37267287
---Goals---
Zero: Complete your dream car and give it a totally sick animal theme.
On-a-Roll: Take your dream car for a spin across an extremely dangerous (everybody shooting at you or worse) locale at top speed with your best pals.
Hero: Take 'extreme' to the next level with an act so mind numbingly insane everybody will continue to talk about it for generations to come.

Physical Description:
Crash Wilson is tall and athletically built. His blue leather jacket is full of so many patches and pins that it gets lost in the colors and symbols. Instead of a safety helmet, Crash complements his jacket with a pink scarf like a lunatic with poor sense of priorities.

Rundown: Ashley's birth family were of the many families removed from the old Motorcity. He was separated from them during that confusing time, but the young boy was picked up by some 'eccentric' wasteland raiders that adopted him into their crew. When he became a man, he had to leave the bandits and form shape his own life, driving away into the sunset with tears in his eyes. Then his makeshift automobile falls apart sometime before he meets his party.
Though rather loony compared to most people, he has his feet planted firmly in the ground when it comes to vehicles. When you need a job done fast (but not done right), look no further than Crash Wilson.

Thoughts and notions on the map:
1.Thanks for updating it, first and foremost!
2. I still feel like the "Oregon Triangle" needs to be just a little bit bigger in order for it to feel comparable to the other Lands when seen on the map. Not much bigger! Just a bit. How does this (attached image) look?
3. San Fransokyo's domain could be a little bit bigger as well.
4. Are we happy with the BUY n' LARGE Wasteland's current configuration? Right now it's a continent-wide sprawl that seems to be taking up the space not claimed by the other Lands. Also, we need to come to a final decision on where the Axiom is going to land. I'm still a big proponent of Chicago as we see the ship landing in the ruins of a large metropolitan city with a harbor in the film.
5. Currently Drossel's Tempest Tower seems to be located in Chicago. Is this canon in her show/film? Can her domain be shifted to Detroit Deluxe's south-east? I'm not familiar with Fireball and can't seem to find information on where she's supposed to be situated.

These are all just ideas floating around in my head, so feel free to disregard any of them!

>All I'm worried about is if they would play well and fit in with the established setting.

Good to see you again, Dread! Holidays, family matters and such have been on all of our minds as of late. Any input you'd like to share on the map? On Classic DTP or potential Gridlock DTP? I want to feel like we're poised for a contributor comeback.
>>
>>37278748
I'm liking the progress on the map so far. The location of Tempest tower isn't based on any canon, nor can I remember why I put it there instead of somewhere else. I am not at my computer at the moment but looking at the map I agree with this >>37277877 fellow that the gravity falls triangle should be bigger. We can expand Sanfransokyo into the rest of unclaimed Washington and Oregon, but I think that since they are an up and coming power they shouldn't necessarily have enough territory.

As for DTP, I've definitely got more Classic in mind. There's plenty of characters both OC and Disney that I want to write about and I'm planning out the next story arc right now.

Gridlock definitely needs more fully statted characters before a DTP is in order. I also think that Classic is enough writing commitment for me, but I would encourage another writefag to take up the helm on that!
>>
>>37278865
I really like the way that the map, in general, is laid out right now and know that further tweaking is only going to make it play and feel better. I agree with you and Anon that Gravity Falls' Triangle should be a little bigger on the official map to show that it's a place worthy of a KLR and not just a random point of interest. I forgot that San Fransokyo was relatively new, so it makes sense that they don't have a big inland empire yet, but filling them out a little bit might make the map look a little nicer. Also, I feel like Anon's ideas on the BnL Wastes and Drossel's Tempest Tower might be good to think about just to make each of the feel a little better in relation to each other and the other nation states.

Classic DTP has been one of the more fun things to see develop in these threads, and your writing on them has been really great. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for them, especially since you mention planning a story arc! The Gridlock characters I've seen with stats and art so far seem pretty cool, and it will be interesting to see who catches our imaginations once the ball really gets rolling again.

I also had some ideas for the Villains in the arcade:
>Sensible: Program LQ-84i/ GridBug: a unit created for the infiltration and takeover of the grid network, made when a program was infected with cybug code by King Turbug himself, GridBug look like a normal program except for his wings, dual jointed legs, talons and the cybug tail running down his back, these features are only apparent when he isn't disguised as a program.
>Strong: Punch Gumball/ GumBug: an immensely strong individual with the mind of a small child, created when a chewing gum cybug absorbed the coding of several fighting game characters, GumBug stands roughly 7 feet tall with a heavily muscled physique and twin antenna running down his back, alongside his cybug tail these are the only features of him that indicate he is a villain when he isn't disguised, he's also Pink.

I really like the idea of having Cybug Villains, but we have to be careful not to make every villain in the Arcade Game Worlds a Cybug and have a little diversity in the mix.

Also, I'm really wondering if Turbo/King Candy needs to be a Cybug in Gridlock. Candy being eaten and hijacking the Cybug's coding only happens late in the movie when he's near defeat as a fakeout and an "it gets so much worse" surprise for the movie's viewers. I'm not saying that Turbo/King Candy can't become a Cybug monstrosity, but that we have to think carefully about what his "DVV win conditions" are, when in the movie's storyline these conditions come about, and what exactly happens to the heroes and the Cybugs because of it.
>>

>With how many times it's changed locations
It's changed retroactively. It's a Retcon.
>>
>>37281221
After the hijack he says "Because of you, Ralph, I'm now the most powerful virus in the arcade! I can take over any game I want! I should thank you... buut it be more fun to kill you." so yeah King Turbug should be a thing but it shouldn't be obvious to the players that he is like that, it should only be revealed during the final missions of the arcade

>"Hello, and welcome to litwakth arcade the funetht place on the whole ethernet, Im King Candy and I'm in need of your athithtance, you thee, after that nathty fellow CLU and his athociate the MCP firtht attacked their have been uprithingth and I need your help in keeping the population 'thafe', tho whaddaya thay?"

>>
>>37281475
What do you think of my way to introduce him, keep the players under his thumb, until the final mission under him, have them be knocked out by the resistance and when they come to, Felix destroys the control King Turbug has over them, and they engage in the final assault on his palace alongside Felix, Calhoun and the other resistance fighters

I like the idea of Turbo/King Candy tricking the PCs into helping him with the whole "wacky king concerned for his people" shtick that almost worked on Ralph. What fates are you envisioning for the heroes of Wreck-It Ralph? So far, I've been thinking:

>Ralph:
Was killed outright while attempting to defeat the bugs and save Sugar Rush by Turbo/King Candy in his King Cybug form. After Ralph's murder, Turbo/Candy reassumed his King Candy persona and escaped the quickly collapsing game world, claiming that he was saved by Ralph's "heroic sacrifice."

>Vanellope von Schweetz:
As a "glitch," was unable to leave the swiftly corrupting Sugar Rush, and was erased from existence in the game's final collapse. However, rumors and urban legends in Gamespace and in Real Life have begun circulating about an eerie and mysterious little glitch playing a game all its own.

>Calhoun:
Unable to save Sugar Rush from corruption and collapse at the mandibles of the Cybug swarm, Calhoun suffered a serious relapse of her pre-programed, post-traumatic stress disorder. She returned to her own game, but was known thereafter as "that annoying NPC that keeps babying the PCs and holding them back."

>Felix:
With the death of Ralph, Felix and the rest of the Game Characters were forced to abandon the Fix-It Felix console and move into others Game Worlds. However, this has only toughened the handyman up, as he has risen to the challenge of helping to keep the Game Worlds from suffering further collapse.

these seem like really good choices, I particularly like role reversal of Felix and Calhoun, good job

So on the subject of maps, I think we should expand San Fransokyo across all of The West Coast and maybe place Litwak's arcade there.
>>
>>37282657

Dread Cartographer and I at least are in favor of giving San Fransokyo more land up the West Coast, but are wary of giving them a giant inland empire. as for where Litwak's Arcade and Family Fun Center is, I'm not sure myself. Right now it's in the middle of the country.

>>
>>37284245
There's a rough timeline for Classic that still needs work since people moved on to Gridlocked before completely finishing everything. Although it's not entirely finished, it's generally that Chernobog dropped all the various nations in at different times, starting with Shan Yu a long time back, then ranging from Atlantis dropped in 20 years ago to Arendelle dropped in just a year ago.
>>
>>37284245
Glad to have you stopping by! You know, I was just thinking about the point you bring up the other day. I know that we have the KLRs, the descriptions of the Villain Kings, the Lands and their Rule over them, but given all the fluff we've spun out over the course of more than SIXTY threads, I'm wondering if we might want to overhaul the "Adventurer's Almanac" in the OP to be a more comprehensive compilation of the various nations-states in DVV Classic, their histories, their leaders and their peoples.

To my remembering, we still need McLeach and Slade statted out for the hunters, but that someone is already working on them. Did we need more lower-level villains statted out as examples? If so, what Kings and Lands are still requiring Villains?

>>37285596
You've done good work with the map, but there are a few points that I'm not sure about:

1. Drakk Tech looks like it has a LOT of land now that I'm not sure it needs.
2. The BUY n' LARGE Wasteland has been shrunk down considerably, making it less dire.
3. The Axiom is no longer near any bodies of water.
4. DOR-15's territory also looks disproportionately large.
5. Syndrome's nation is completely landlocked and has no access to any bodies of water.
>>
>>37287083
I think that the problem with the BnL Wasteland wasn't necessarily that it's big, but was the fact that it felt like it was just taking up whatever space we hadn't allocated to the other Lands yet.

I have a few complaints.

Litwak's should be somewhere on Route 83.
The Wasteland could use more space, and Drossel should be somewhere away from most human settlements.
Kronos shouldn't be separated.
The rest of the borders are a bit too rigid for my taste, and the map could use some major touch ups.

>>
>>37296325
Looking at several different maps at once, it seems that Drossel moves around the most.

Personally I felt she could stay in Chicago. What about you guys? Should we all get names to sort out trains of thought easier?
>>
>>37296549
I don't think names are strictly necessary, though I definitely don't hold names against those that have them.

I feel like Drossel has moved around a lot because her Tempest Domain and Tempest Tower have no canon locations on the map as far as I have been able to research them. Also, I know that I only have a vague understanding of what she's about, and feel like she may be one of the least well known and understood characters in this expansion. This has made her positioning on the Gridlock map more nebulous and changeable than the other Villain Kings'.

The reason why I took Chicago away from her is that I felt that the Axiom's landing site needed to be in the ruins of a large city with a harbor, as was depicted in the WALL-E movie. There has been discussion for a long while that the BUY n' LARGE Wasteland was based around the Great Lakes/Heartland regions, and making Chicago the home base of BnL and the landing site of the Axiom seemed to make sense.
>>
>>37296817
I agree that having the Axiom in Chicago and moving Drossel up north would be the best course of action. It lets us keep the Kane vs Robots hook and creates a safe haven for free machines to escape to.

Also, how would you guys feel to making LA a Grid integrated city? It's where ENCOM and Flynn's Arcade are, so I thought it would make sense for CLU to set up shop there.
>>
>>37297087
I don't think I'd have a problem with it. We just have to take care because that would put Big Hero 6, the Incredibles and Tron within really close proximity to each other on the map.
