Today was the day when the warp creature was going to be fought and for the good of all of us and the Imperium destroyed. Everybody is mobilized; the ship is way more noisy than usual. Thousands of boots trot here and there. You manage to see the guardsmen trio that you befriended but they advance without even realizing of your presence.

The other two Skitarii that sent a duel request came to fight alongside you. They insisted, If they couldn't clash with you they would battle alongside was the reason they gave.

Skitarii Johane is armed with four dendrites that end in circular saws, she's also equipped with chainsword and a laspistol. She's pretty well armoured and skilled with her weapons.

Skitarii Deagront has a pitch black helmet that covers all his head, fights with multiple flash bang grenades and a heavy looking flamer. He also owns some bionic legs that let him stride long distances in a quick jump.
>>
>>37196876

"A escort who has his own escort, this is getting ridiculous...But I guess that since I am your superior I can still shout orders to those two as well" Said Oihan once you introduced them to her.

You noticed that the Commissar wore heavy armour under her coat and that her power fist was once again installed on her bionic arm, crackling stronger than ever, its machine spirit eager to deliver its rage onto the enemies.

"What's the plan...boss?" You shyly say still unused to refer to her with that terminology.

"Haxmax has located the creature but it seems to be too powerful to be trapped, his hooks apparently use warp trickery to get red hot and he just sinks them into the joints of the doors to rip them off shortly after. Since we have been monitoring him he has killed over two hundred slaves. They are fully aware of him now that he's on a killing spree. What do you think we should do?"

You looked at her and tried to hide your nervousness. Even if the mission was successful there was the chance of way too many people dying. Elyadien's mission would have been futile, the surviving soldiers wouldn't be able to stop the prisoner riots and a even stronger Daemon would be liberated.

>Ask about how many soldiers and resources do we have.
>Ask for more info about the Red Hook.
>Ask for her opinion instead.
>Free action.

>Ask about how many soldiers and resources do we have.
>Ask for more info about the Red Hook.

Aw yeah, Heretek time.
>>
>>37196887
>Ask about how many soldiers and resources do we have.
Hooks that cant melt door joints aren't going to be fun for our upgrades either.

Right now I'm thinking bait and ambush, use Oihan's powerfist for the initial blow since that should inflict some brutal damage.

After that gang bang with the rest of our guys and hope that we manage to overwhelm him nice and fast.

Maybe Oihan can land a crit with that power fist once we've got him held down or something.

I'm glad to see that you guys are enjoying it so far, I missed writing this quest.

Also wanted to apology for taking so long to start the next thread. I have been really busy and the only free day I had was the day 4chan was down for maintenance so I couldn't write at all
>>
>>37197078
Hey no worries man, moot's gonna moot and there's nothing much anyone can do about that.

Never forget that real life takes precedence

Btw your twitter updates have started adding location, just so you know
>>
>>37197097
Yeah, I know. I don't care if you guys know where I live.
>>
>>37197055
Another thought. Perhaps we could hang back and use our fancy aimbot upgrades to shoot down hooks as they appear around our allies or whatever.
>>
>>37197144
Not a bad Idea! But remember that the aimbot crashes if way too many objectives appear
>>
>>37197156
Well that's a major issue. Not to mention I'm not convinced about our lasguns potential to knock away or destroy the hooks or the fact that we can't do anything for those for which our line of sight is blocked by allies.

I'd say perhaps we can grab hold of the whips with our mechadendrites but getting that close to contact with warp taint...
>>
>>37197156
Personally I was thinking of using our dentrites to catch them and tie them up, preferably to a large pipe or something. It will either prove very stupid or brilliant.
>>
>hooks are dangerous because they're hot
Uh, guys? Just flood wherever he is with coolant, then electrify it.
>>
>>37197272
Sounds good, now how do we do that?
>>
>>37197285
I dunno. Tubes?
>>
>>37197285
Remember that Heracor once got himself in the water pumping system, I guess he could do it again?
>>
>>37197303
Reckon water would be enough for warp heated hooks? By coolant I assume something more elaborate like liquid nitrogen or whatever they use to cool bigass hot things that power the ship. And if we do have such a thing, how much can we afford to lose freezing the red hook?

>>37197295
Truly brilliant.

So assuming we have access to a the pipe system for actual coolant or simple water we'd then need to bait the bastard into getting neat to a preset point and then have Haxmaster open it up on him so that we don't need to find a terminal ourselves.

Perhaps we can quickly weld on a delivery system to the piping we find and add a mechanical valve to it so that we can control it from in situ.

As for electricity, shouldn't be too hard to dig up some power cabling where ever we are but I'd say it'd be simply to just use the moment to unload everything into the sod.

>Ask about how many soldiers and resources do we have.
Oihan nodded and looked at the different factions that cohabited in the Cruiser.

"Ship's personnel aren't true warriors. The biggest fight they could cope with would be a mutiny or a pitiful raid by puny orks. They are going to be more focused on the ship's health than in the fight."

Heracor looked at the Navy Workers. They were mostly workers that helped here and there and didn't seemed to have any training at all, best weaponry they had were shotguns and swords.

"My regiment will obviously fight to the death at my command, I don't think that a daemonic entity would be the best thing for the death virgins, you know, the ones who haven't killed anything yet. I will send my elite squad."
>>
>>37197473

You couldn't avoid feeling relieved knowing that the youngster trio wouldn't fight against the Red Hook.

"What kind of equipment do those elite squad don?" Asks the Skitarii Deagront.

"Full Carapace armour, power swords and advanced weaponry like Melta and Plasma. They call themselves the Micerian Firestarters for a reason."

I think that both them and myself shuddered in excitation knowing that we could see those weapons in action.

"We have fifteen Firestarters at our disposal. They know about the situation and are eager to fight...They make me proud" Said Oihan smiling with a satisfied glare.

"Most Skitarius have been wounded in your...quarrel. They have agreed to place stationary autocannons and aid us from a safe distance." Added the female Skitarii Johane.

"How about the slaves. Will they be of any help?" You asked.

"Sadly no, they are being massacred as we talk and we can barely do anything to help them. Looking at it with a more optimistic prism we could say that they are doing their sacred duty acting as bait and buying us time."

You noted the information in your HUD.

>> PERSONNEL / INVENTORY <<

++COMMISSAR Oihan Alzador: Carapace Armour - Power Fist ( Slightly Damaged ) - Bolt Pistol
+[15] Elite Guardsmen: Carapace Armour - Power Swords - Melta/Plasma rifles

++Escort Heracor Nahive: Flak Armour - Hidden Sword - [6] Mechadendrites - Admech Pattern Lasgun
+Skitarii Johane: Skitarii Armour - Chainsword - [4] Saw-ended Mechadendrites - Laspistol
+Skitarii Deagrot: Skitarii Armour ( Special Dark helmet ) - No Melee weaponry - Flamer - Flashbang grenades.

There was of course the Eldar infiltrate...it was too dangerous to add her to the list. Besides you didn't even knew how her weapons and armour worked, there were way too many variables. Better forget about her...for now.

>"That sounds ideal. What is the composition of that elite squad?"
>Message Haxmas to find the ships coolant system and a map of places we could stage an ambush along it.
>>
>>37197501
Well hey, I noticed that I missed the options and I was writing them but those are even better! Working on this now.

>>37197368
Have in mind that if the plan works there has been a daemonic incursion inside a Imperial Cruiser. The Inquisition will snoop around. What would be a better idea; Kill it once frozen or risk it and leave it frozen yet alive as a gift for the Inquisitor?
>>
>>37197535
Kill it dead. Oihan wouldn't appreciate having it around and it's a risk since it still acts to taint those around it.

'Sides the inquisition might accuse you of heresy for letting a demon live even if it was to provide them with it.

Could ask Oihan's opinion about this but I imagine she just wants it dead and done.
>>
>>37197562
Sounds about allright. Give me a name, I'm gonna make you Squad Leader.

Ninnius Filkins alright?
>>
>>37197501
>"That sounds ideal. What is the composition of that elite squad?"

"There's squad leader Ninnius Filkins. Even I do consider him a though guy. Loves to fight with his beloved Meltagun, uses it close enough to feel the warmth of the enemies it kills...there were rumours about him sleeping with the gun, ended being true. Ninnius can be a little bit weird but he's a leader. He's also a good leader and swordsman"

"Will it be able to affront the tainted enemy?"

"Guy has fought stronger things for sure. He will do it good. I don't think you need to know much more about the rest of his squad."

I've been wondering if the baubles on the eldar guns are spirit stones or not.
I suspect they might be, but I three theories what they do.

1. Fallen eldar don't automatically go to nearest spirit stone, and can jump on a squadmate's extra stone if needed.
2. They're shards of other eldar of that same aspect to guide them, I find this unlikely as Rangers have them as well.
3. Empty soulstones work like a psychic battery? Does not explain why eldar weapons only work for eldar, unless the battery is leaky, which would mean a psyker should detect them easily, so I doubt that.
>>
>>37197857
Chances are that if they are, they're empty, cause filled stones get dumped on craftworlds and wraiths.

Haxmax, we need to know the current location of the objective and the direction it is advancing to.
>H4XM4X:
Oh man we are so dead. He has been killing people without stopping.
>HerNhv:
I repeat we need to know the current location of the Red Hook and the direction it is taking!
>H4XM4X:
Shit! Ok! He is leaving the slave livingplaces and advancing towards the major deposits.
>HerNhv:
Specify the contents of those deposits, we cannot risk to send men to fight if they are flammable.
>H4XM4X:
Uh? No no, the prometheum is in another place. Oh by the way there was a peak in the prometheum consumption. What happened!?
>HerNhv:
Way too long to explain. Once again try to focus. What do those deposits contain?
>H4XM4X:
Liquid Nitrogen, they are needed in the lava planet we are heading to.
>HerNhv:
Do you think we could use them against the Red Hook? He seems unstoppable and my superior informed me that his hooks are on fire.
>H4XM4X:
Well...I guess it is possible but the liquid nitrogen will create a cloud. If it doesn't works the low visibility will be a disadvantage.

>D3GROOT Joined the chatroom

>D3GROOT:
I can see in the dark and low visibility environments. I could work alongside them. Besides my Flamer will be a nice addition to their energy based weapons.

>JOJOHANE Joined the chatroom

>JOJOHANE:
My circular saws are diamond tipped. Maybe while you two are directing the Liquid Nitrogen I could walk in the catwalks and cut the pipes as he walks under them. I froze him and #D3GROOT kills him.
>HerNhv:
What about the autocannon turrets?
>H4XM4X:
Maybe they could be used to destroy and block some paths? Those turrets are almost as big as the entire corridor and I don't think that a creature as him could even advance with slugs constantly impacting you.
>HerNhv:
It is settled then.

As you three returned to reality the Elite Squad came and presented to you.

"Ninnius Filkins reporting for duty sir."

The soldier looked pretty much like the rest of his peers. Totally covered with a grey and brown carapace armour and a helmet that let him communicate and receive orders. The only thing it was distinguishable of him from the others were the purity seals on his meltagun and the rank status symbol on his shoulders.

After the brief presentation you left the two Skitarii waiting with them and told Oihan about the plan.

"Block pathways with autocannon fire to direct it to the LN silos. Then redirect and cut the pipes to freeze it. Finally let my squad kill it."

She seemed to doubt but after some hesitation agreed.

"Well it obvious that we cannot send waves of soldiers against him, we will follow this plan, make me proud Heracor"

You two walked back towards the soldiers.

"Soldier Ninnius, the Skitarii Deagront will join your team and act as a link between you
and me."

"Yes Sir!" He and his men seemed tense about having a Mechanicum member with them.

Deagront took advantage and started talking with the soldiers about their weapons, asking questions and such. The squad seemed to relax and since he was a techpriest they let him see their guns.

"Skitarii Johana, I need you to download a map of all the catwalks and coolant pipes, we cannot allow you to get lost. Try to triangulate the best position to ambush him."

It seemed like everybody had a place in the fight but you. Oihan obviously would fight with Ninnius and the others but what about you?

>Join the fight. That's what true leaders do.
>Go with Haxmax and help him coordinate the others. That's what true leaders do.
>Try to find the Eldar spy. Have your possible enemies controlled. That's what true leaders do.
>Free action.
>>
>>37198042
>Join the fight. That's what true leaders do.
We gotta be Oihan's retinue afterall.

I'd say it was actually in our best interests to keep the eldar in check but doing so will let Oihan and the others know something else is afoot
>>
>>37198042
>Join the fight. That's what true leaders do.
We'll make sure he dies.
>>
>>37198074
>>37198123
>Join the fight. That's what true leaders do.

Haxmas might seem to be getting anxious but he should be able to resist. About the Eldar, she said she would help us on her own terms, her survival is on the table so you don't doubt her.

You will join and and accompany Johane to increase her survival chances. If the fight gets too hard for Oihan, Deagront and Ninnius's men you could also jump from the catwalk and aid as best as you could.

"DOWNLOAD COMPLETE" She said moments after you gave the order.

"Good, let's go."

Everybody started moving. Your companion gave you the best positions to place the turrets and guide him to the deposits, after you knew the positions you transmitted them to the rest of the Skitarius and they immediately moved.

Oihan and her retinue descended to the lower levels using a elevator that would leave them directly were the ambush was going to be done. To my surprise after they descended Johane didn't moved at all, she waited until the elevator was far away enough and then opened the metallic doors. In front of us the railways of the lift and the vertical chasm it was suspended in.

"This will be the safest and quickest way"

Without any other option you descended after her. Other elevators going quickly up and down close to you. Their weight and speed was big enough to make the frail ladder you two were descending to vibrate violently. It took you two fifteen minutes to descend into the service door that lead to the catwalks.

From your position you could see all the suspending corridors and the massive silos down. Between them the soldiers were moving and checking the different spots and positions.
>>
>>37198324
In the distance gunfire sounds, he was quicker than you anticipated. Johane checked her saws and dendrites, they all worked perfectly and were at the reach of the pipes.

"Is this the most suitable location?" You asked.

She nodded and next thing you did was order the soldiers below you to hide in the best places they could. Their fight was going to come soon. Footsteps sounded and then silence, they were all among the corners and the shadows.

Disconnecting once again from reality you tried to hook up with the cameras and look at the Red Hook's advance. It was the first time you saw it so clearly.

It was a mass of muscle and fat. More chains had appeared from his body and now he had dozens of half eaten bodies hanging from his naked back and arms. He was leaving a trail of boiling blood as he walked and apparently her wore now a skull collar. On his hands two massive butcher knives that became brown, not because of rust but because of dry blood.

He turned a corner and two autoguns started spitting their powder propelled ammunition into the daemon. The fast and puncturing bullets got inside his flesh and many of them even exited from his back making him bleed profusely. He seemed to not mind it, after some tense seconds where he slowly advanced against the stream of bullets he managed to reach the turret with his hooks and destroy it. The Skitarii gunners were then grabbed by the other hands hooks. One died at the instant and was swallowed whole by it. The other wasn't so lucky, it got its arms and legs chopped by the knifes and then he sank one of the hooks of his back on the Skitari's ribcage, another tortured trophy to drag around.
>>
>>37198477
Even if he was covered in holes and bullets he doesn't really seemed to be wounded at all. He was bleeding and part of his muscles and bones were visible but the daemon didn't seemed to mind it at all. The Red Hook might had some kind of prey sensing ability because even if the turret was destroyed and the path free he nevertheless walked back and then moved towards the path that the turret was supposed to redirect him to. The turrets and its gunners suddenly became sacrifices.

Some of the last gunners after seeing the fate of some of its friends decided to blow themselves as close as possible to him. Unbeknownst to them their immolations where totally bloody and even if the fire and shrapnel damaged their body, the bloodshed actually strengthened him.

When he reached the silos he had about twenty bodies on his back. Heat was venting from his bullet holes and exposed muscles. The hooks of his arms started leaving a black trail from their hotness. He was a anathema to life.

Should I continue and just write or do you guys want me to ask for dice rolls and describe what happens depending on those rolls?
>>
>>37198594
I'd like a chance to do something. gimme options, please.
>>
>>37198594
Dice rolls are fun but have the potential to jeopardise an otherwise good plan. I'm good with either to be honest.
>>
>>37198612
>A: Tell the men to open fire now and attract him to the pipes.
>B: Wait until he gets closer on his own and save ammo.
>C: Free action.

>>37198613
Well the Quest has gone so far so good without dice rolling so I guess It should continue that way.
>>
>>37198652
How much of a concern is saving ammo? Does the ship have a really limited supply for meltas and plasma weapons, or is it just how much the men have on them right now?

I'd be inclined to say fire the moment they see him to try and minimise casualties
>>
>>37198652
>A: Tell the men to open fire now and attract him to the pipes.
Tell them to fall back as they do as well. Casualties work against us in this scenario, and being out of his range is preferable.
>>
>>37198703
On that note it might be a good idea to try and get them to vaporise the bodies he has slung over his back. Put them outta their misery, stop them fueling him.
>>
>>37198686
Well, this isn't like a videogame were ammo is found everywhere. They just took ammo enough to hold for some time. The plan was supposed to be quick and precise after all.

Oihan has 4 bolt pistol magazines with 10 rounds each.

The Melta wielding soldiers have two cannisters. Each one can be constantly shot for about a entire minute.

Plasma wielders have 3 flasks of hydrogen fuel. Each one with about 15 shoots each.

Deagront's flamethrower is similar to the melta. It has two cannisters but the flamer can be shoot for a longer time before emptying. About two minutes per cannister.

A QUEST WITHOUT DICEROLLING?! WHAT HERESY IS-Oh who am I kidding thats alright. Your quest. your heresy, your rules m8.

I just found this so I'm not gonna vote on shit just yet. I've seen way too many threads derail into shit for it. All I wanna know is how heretek are we? Seems like we're being goody two shoes atm if just to avoid horrible horrible deamon death.
>>
>>37198793
Honestly we are like -20% heretical, we are about to kill a daemon after all.
>>
>>37198778
Right, in that case I say
>Order the men to take small potshots to attract his attention, Oihan's long ranged bolt pistol can be used more aggressively

>>37198793
There was some rolling in the earlier threads, fixed a powerfist super fast cus of one

And yeah, we aren't particularly heretical. We just don't go by the book as much as a normal guy
>>
>>37198807
We're being heretical by thinking freely. We aint a cog in the imperial machine, we just think it's in our best interest to function as one.
>>
>>37198815
>>37198807
So less "FOR THE WAAAAAARP" heretek and more "Wait why do I have to do these 300 steps when I could simply add this bypass and increase effficency by 15% AND have a single command line/button to activate it?"

I can dig that.
>>
>>37198851
Yeah pretty much, at this stage anyway. We also did some devious manipulation of a submerged magos to get access to some training rooms and we've uncovered and eldar infiltrator and are working in an uneasy alliance to deal with the demonic threat. We haven't yet informed anyone about her.
>>
>>37198851
Not gonna lie. At first I wanted them to go crazy Heretek but the players choose to go clever instead. I tried to add a corruption point counter but the protagonist ended being just too nice to gain any point at all and I didn't wanted to force it so it got removed.

The protagonist, Heracor, wants to become stronger. He had the chance of using xenotech but ended refusing. He could have also created a conflict on his forgeworld before leaving but the players once again refused.

Heracor turned into a awkward yet nice Techpriest

Well, not so much refusing, but rather we had other things on our plate, and the xeno took the tech back so we couldn't study it.
There wasn't any reason to practice it right away anyways.

>>
>>37199010
I'm all down for trying to get her to relinquish them again so we can analyse and learn from them. Not that I'm sure we'll be able to do much with it, it's probably too foreign for us to make much sense of.

Wandering around decked out in curvy sparkling stuff is also gonna be a bit of a giveaway too, though I suppose we could try to merge the inherent technologies with imperium stuff. Would be wicked if we could nick the harlequin's kiss and embed it in our finger or something.
>>
>>37198652
Get his attention with some pot shots get him to charge then light him up.

>>
>>37199010
He is the most dangerous and rare of any 40k protagonist to ever grace the perils of grimdarkness.

He is a man of common sense and desire to improve things, so far that seems to mean only himself but it might expand to a broader scope.

We are so boned if an inquisitor catches our ass. At best we're "Recruited" to help him and by that I mean we are either killed horribly by all our parts being stripped off us one by one without tools and our remaining flesh seared off or help him put down heresy like a good boy.

>>37199039
Fuck Eldar tech that stuff is mostly psionic/psyker stuff if I remember my limited fluff lore right. I don't know how much we could actually use because of that.

I'd want to study some Tau equipment since its some of the most advanced crap there is and necron tech warps back when the unit is destroyed sadly. Who knows how much improvements we could squeek out of a single dead tau soldier's kit. Also all the plasma weapons we could ever want if we salvaged them. ALL OF THEM.

This is of course barring the accidental discovery of golden age of Imperium tech. like before the Horus Heresy went down grade technology.

Of course i barely know the fluff properly so I'm just guessing for most of this.
>>
Fuckfuckfuck. I was writting the reply and I accidentally closed the tab...sorry.
>>
>>37199109
Would it be smarter figure out how to get him to show his back/arms more since he's possibly using those poor bastards impaled on the meat hooks as a powersource?

Or maybe that'll solve itself since we're about to kill the poor sods off with deep freezes and old fashioned burnination... we're kinda bout to fuck his day up.

>>37199131
Its okay shit happens.
>>
>>37199143
Yup
>>
>>37199143
He has hooks on both arms and the back. The ones on his arms are the ones that get hot and are used to attack from a distance. The ones on his back are used on the "worthy" enemies and both power him and he can feed on them to regain health.
>>
>>37199114
>necron tech warps back when the unit is destroyed sadly
Not always, though I'd imagine we'd have to be pretty lucky to both survive a necron encounter AND be in a position to try and loot anything. As far as I recall if you destroy the necron sufficiently it's ability to phase fails.

>fuck eldar tech
I can't quite remember what their stuff can do. They shoot tiny shurikens at high speed from their guns, forget how effective they are in comparison to regular munitions. I think the fluff bills them as being super armour penetraty shred the insides to pulp stuff but the tabletop rules tend to be a bit harder on them.

As for harlequin kiss, it's a monomolecular wire that easily penetrates armour and liquefies the insides. Not gonna be easy to find that kinda tech but it'd be damn useful to have THAT trick up our sleeve

Maybe the eldar armour would be handy? It's light and moderately sturdy, may be marginally better than flak or carapace armour for us?

>Tau
Nabbing some railguns would be awesome. Drone tech might conflict with the imperial hatred of AI though, I don't know my tau fluff too well.

>A: Tell the men to open fire now and attract him to the pipes.
You open the comm chatter and say to Oihan that the objective is visible from your position. You can't see her doing it but you are pretty sure she have a wide grin to her soldiers as the lock of his gun went off.

The first shoots weren't aimed at anywhere in particular, they were shoot at the ground or transport carts to generate as much noise as possible.

He answered with a massive roar, his jaws opened and a arm fell from his mouth as he screamed with such a intensity that he muffled the pistol's shooting echo.

His naked yet heavy feet started running towards the Commissar with such force that even the catwalks we were standing in started to vibrate. As he got closer everybody readied their weapons and tensed to jump from their hiding points at any moment.

>A: Jump down and join the fight.
>B: Wait for it.

^ I'll repeat those two options during some turns. The protagonist can wait and see how the fight develops and jump whenever he wants. As long as B is chosen Heracor is relatively safe but if he waits long enough it may be too late for the rest.
>>
>>37199218
>B: Wait for it.
If we jump in now we might get in the way of the plan to freeze him. Maybe take shots with our lasgun, either at his hooks, eyes, or try to deal with the bodies on his back.
>>
>>37199207
So we study it not necessarily for how it works because we couldn't use it effectively, but for the monomolecular lech then?

>>37199218
>B: Wait for it.
>>
>>37199172
So the back is the weakpoint.. once this starts we need to figure out a way to burn those poor fucks off him or just gib them.

>>37199207
Okay I like the kiss, thats just armor piercing assination at finest. that'd be brutallly effective if we ever had the bad luck to face a chaos marine in close combat. Eldar armor MIGHT be handy if its adapted instead of flat out replacing our current kit but might draw unwanted attention at this stage.

>>37199218
>B:Wait for it.

We must wait for the trap to be sprung THEN go into the fray. right now would be suicide.

>>
>>37199270
I can agree to that. while probably impossible for must humans to use eldar tech could yield impressive upgrades to a few standard imperial weapons and armor but its best if kept the classic look and feel of imperial equipment.

Its just a fast track to the burning stick if we go straight to slapping their curvy elegant tech on us haphazardly.

>>37199287
Steady m8 we'll get to rip and tearing once our clever plan of putting the deepfreeze on his ass goes down. Which is promptly followed with some healthy dose of lighting his ass up like firewood. You'll love it I promise.
>>
>>37199218
Is there a way we can get some of the men to circle around the back of him in order to go FULL MELTA on his back? Dunno if we're in a single path corridor or what.

Maybe we can play doc oc and pull a couple up here with us to rain glorious vaporisation down at him

About the Eldar armour. Elyadien is a female, I doubt Heracor could don her armor even if she ends dead.

You guys need to find another way to get some Eldar stuff.

>>37199316
It is possible yes, but also a little bit meta. The soldiers don't know that the weakpoint its his back nor that the corpses are making him stronger.

>B: Wait for it.
analyze him find his weak point hammer it without mercy.
>>
>>37199270

Yeah, the harlequin kiss is absolutely brutal. I doubt we'd actually get anything that really even leads to that from our eldar's gear though, this is probably going to be an eternal dream.

>>37199332
It was more reverse engineer appropriate stuff for him than slap on what she has.

Did Heracor not observe a seeming increase in strength from the extra blood then? Still, might it not be common knowledge that demons feed on suffering or whatnot? Your call though
>>
>>37199332
Yeah...while I can be okay with Heracor having leaps of common sense logic (He MUST be using those poor sods on his back for something, it might be vital to exploit this possible weakness) I doubt any other characters/mooks/soldiers are cut of the same cloth. Our backup is an elite guardsmen squad, while they can happily destroy shit with liberal application of lasgun fire and grenades (and lots of fire in this case) they aren't meant to know how deamons work and don't WANT to know.

After all the first guardsman who tries to learn and be smart about his fighting is the first one the commissar often shoots for heresy if the inquisition isn't around to do it for him.

Besides wouldn't they panic if we tried to grapple them up to the catwalk midfight?
>>
>>37199391
>He MUST be using those poor sods on his back for something
I'd say it was more obvious to assume simple trophies. Chaos doesn't need reason, it's Chaos for crying out loud. They do barbaric shit for the hell of it, hell they'd still do it even if it put them at a disadvantage
>>
>>37199391
>Besides wouldn't they panic if we tried to grapple them up to the catwalk midfight?
...not if we told them first?
>>
>>37199378
About the Harlequin Kiss. The Eldar tried to kill Heracor with her psyker powers and failed because of his "special" brain. Maybe this fact might end in some Harlequin's ears and get their interest.

>Did Heracor not observe a seeming increase in strength from the extra blood then? Still, might it not be common knowledge that demons feed on suffering or whatnot? Your call though
Heracor knows pretty little stuff about daemons. He didn't even knew that they were real a few weeks ago. He knows he gets stronger with killing and that the warp beasts don't always follow logic nor reason but how could somebody who has been always surrounded by logic and machinery know that a hanging body is vital to kill somebody?
>>
>>37199431
>Maybe this fact might end in some Harlequin's ears and get their interest.
Harlequins are after us.
PANIC.

>heracor doesn't know
Okay, that's fair. My advice for future times like this though would be to describe the weakpoint but not actually say it is one. That way the players don't have any more knowledge than the character.

For example with this time you would have mentioned the guy hooking them on, blood soaking into him or whatever, but not said explicitly that the blood was making him stronger. Or those suicidal soldiers - say that they created a shower of blood, the butcher didn't seem to mind, but not that it was UNFORTUNATE that there was lots of blood.

Not a massive criticism, just something to bear in mind.
>>
>>37199483
Any criticism is welcome. I am always aiming to improve my roleplaying and writing skills to make this more enjoyable for players like you.
>>
>>37199431
I'm slightly against giving eldar a setup on possibly killing us if their farseer decrees some warpshit about us being their doom. Eldar are backstabbing shits like that.

Your quest your rules. we can metagame it all we fucking want you're still the one writing Heracor's actions based on his current knowledge, skills, and ability.

>>37199483
Also this, if you want to avoid more metagaming antics keeping the perspective more in line with Heracor's current level of understanding will help.

>B: Wait for it.

Oihan's power fist crackled with energy as it got ready an d her other hand aimed the bolt gun at the dashing daemon. Her bionic fingers pressed the trigger and shoot with a incredible marksmanship. The bolts impacted his chest and shoulders sending bloody slabs of meat flying around.

Shortly after the wound was opened the Red Hook yelled. First heat started exiting from his bruises, steam came shortly after and then a maroon and black fire. When the fire was over the wound was cured.

"FIRE ALL GUNS!!!" Said her angry.

The fifteen soldiers and the Skitarii jumped from their hideouts and started shooting. Deagront wasn't close enough to use his flamer so he threw a blashbang grenade. This action ended being purposeless as nobody ended affected by it at all with the exception of the Commissar. While she had to cover herself with her power fist, the elites didn't because of their helmets and same with Deagront, the daemon used his two massive butcher knifes to cover himself and laughed after it.

The commissar looked at the Skitarii angry because of wasting a grenade and making her miss a couple of shoots but wasting a bolt on his virtually impossible to see face would be even more wasteful.

The plasma and melta impacts slowed him a lot. He groaned in pain and then his entire body started burning in the same maroon and black flames that appeared from his wounds.

"Look at the bodies. They are burning too" Said Johane.

From their elevated position it was possible to see that the bodies that he dragged were also ablaze. What could this mean?

If its in the traps effect range its time to use it. It would also be wise to "suggest" (ordering a commissar, HAHAHA) that Orihan fall back to avoid being disorientated or flat out frozen in the spray and to take full advantage of the trap.

Also note that the "trophies" he's been collecting appear to fuel some kind of warp magic and it might be beneficial to destroy them.

After the traps sprung and grenades fly its time to take it on and join in though. Can't afford to waste a single moment after the guardsmen do what they do best.

haha seriously ordering a commissar around. all my keks.

>"Suggest" everyone to dodge back and spring the coolant trap.

"He...he gets stronger from killing and can use those bodies to heal himself"

You contact with Haxmas and order him to send all the Liquid Nitrogen to the selected pipes in that instant.

"Fall back, he needs to be frozen now!"

The team stops his salvo of fire and move away. Deagront stays a little longer, maybe to impress the Commissar in a desperate attempt to ask for forgiveness. She looks back at him but her eyes don't see a heroic action.

Just as the Skitarii's flamer starts to burn the already burning daemon one of his hooks flies from his left arm and impales him in the stomach. The hook defiling some psychics laws starts going up, his body hanging down and bleeding profusely. His blood showers the Red Hook and extinguishes his fire while creating a cloud of steam and blood around him.

The smell of rusted metal and blood enters inside our nostrils and tongues. Johane has to look away to puke.

After the shower of blood is over and the Daemon's body is totally recovered one of the hooks of his back grabs the body by the head and slams it on the ground. The strong impact even creates echo around the walls of the almost deserted deposit.

Using all the weapons at once made him consume one of his bodies but he managed to get another one. Twenty bodies still being dragged behind him.

Christ this guys a beast. I know warp deamons are strong but this is insane!

Okay once the coolant drops we mount the counter offensive. We had someone with a bigass circular saw right? If we keep him busy during the freeze we can try to cut those chains off him and cut down on this fucking regen.

Even if its warp metal theres good odds since we just dumped like a button of deepfreeze on him entirely right?

Also ^dese guys we can't wait anylonger the strike team needs a distraction as they setup for volleys again. Once haxmax dumps the iceage its time to risk wading into close range. the less bodies attached to him the less warpfuel he has.

Gotta hand it to you QM you make some ungodly strong bossmonsters. This is legit terrifying beserker tier. Its like being the mobs when when the hero built himself a lifesteal setup.

The pipes above your became noisy and white from the coolant concentration. Johane's saws started revving with intensity as she started getting her four dendrites ready.

You aimed your loyal lasgun and shoot at him. While shooting you tried to select the chains of its back as objectives too, after some seconds processing the query each chain appeared on your HUD as a independent enemy to aim for.

"We cannot destroy it while the he drags the bodies on its back!!"

Oihan covered herself behind a box and looked at the many bodies that he dragged. She didn't understood it at fist but after a plasma bolt punched a hole in its thigh and one of the bodies started burning and healing him the Commissar understood everything.

"Scatter around in teams of two! Circle the creature and shoot at the bodies behind him, protect each other! You come with me Ninnius!"

The 15 soldiers and Oihan separated in 8 groups of two and started shooting as best as they could behind him, some decided to stay in front and attack directly to distract its attention as best as they could.

The Red Hook's chains seemed indestructible but the bodies they carried were nothing but mortal carcasses.

"Meltachicos go and shoot the Daemon! Plasmaboys focus on the bodies" Shouted the leader.

The plasma weapons were way more efficient in destroying the bodies and after a quick skirmish half of them were nothing but ashes.

"Fall back!" Oihan added, her gun destroying the cadavers quite easily.

In a surge of energy he burned two bodies entirely and managed to resist the melta destroying its internal structure. He moved in a flash and a instant after that four "meltachicos" went down, bodies hacked in half.

"The pipe is ready to be cut now" Said Skitari Johane

You weren't sure that it would reach him entirely and if it would be enough to freeze him completely.

Ok to explain it better have a shitty MSPaint Drawing.

The big hexagon is the red hook. The white balls the dead bodies, the green ones soldiers. The ones around are shooting the bodies, the ones in front are hitting him with melta. While the daemon is inside the radius hes not totally inside and some soldiers will be frozen too.

Should I go with option A anyway?

>C: Descend and help them. Way too many people has died, you can help them fight and send the order from down there.

"Wait for my order!" You yell as the servos on your legs activate and send you down with a powerful jump.

The entire floor shakes as you land. Your hand grabs the first power pack and automatically enters inside the lasgun. Your shoots are precise and impact in his head.

Unlike the meltagun of the warrior alongside you your weapon shoot precise photonic beams instead of a stream of unestabilizing energy. This meant that your shoots were way more precise and quick.

Two shoots, two hits. One in each eye. The daemon is now blind and angrier than ever.

"We need to get closer! Move back!"

The plasma weaponry wielding soldiers ceased fire and returned to the front with the rest of his squad. Everybody started walking slowly backwards while aiming at the enemy.

"FIRE ALL GUNS!" Yelled Oihan when all the soldiers were close enough.

A instant before the massive firing blinded you, your eyes managed to glimpse Elyadien on the distance shooting what looked like Eldar sniper rifle.

A mixture of plasma, laser, melta and bolts rained on the daemon from the front while the Xeno ammunition finished the few dead bodies left.
>>
>>37200910

With no chance to regenerate the daemon started becoming more and more weak as the firing started eating him alive. Every impact sent another piece of meat flying away. He somehow seemed to resist all the impacts and advance but every meter he walked he became thinner and frailer.

When he reached point where the coolant shower would be at its biggest he was little more than a skeleton with some muscle hanging around. With her spine and ribs totally exposed we cringed after noticing how the hooks and chains had been brutally welded to its bones.

That wasn't the worst thought, he was somehow still alive, his lungs and hearth continued beating even after being so utterly destroyed.

We moved away and let about 50 gallons of coolant to pour on him. Maybe it was way too much but we couldn't be sure.

"Does anybody have any idea about how to kill this fucker?" Asked Ninnius.

>>
>Message Elyadien to check it's safe to kill and not better to contain

You moved away and tried to contact Elyadien silently. She didn't answered at first but after some seconds a small message appeared.

"The warped entity isn't dead. Kill it NOW"

>Power Fist the daemon.

After reading the message you returned with the circle of soldiers that surrounded the daemon. Even if frozen it was visible that its heart was still beating, a red glowing light coming from it.

"I think...that our Commissar should be the one who sends the final blow, she hasn't been able to use her power fist and I can truly say that its machine spirit is eager of some fighting."

You honestly weren't quite sure if the machine spirit really desired that, lately a lot of things have changed and you couldn't be sure of anything it seemed. Daemons ended becoming something real and tangible after all.

Oihan looked at the chains and hooks that were still fused with him. Even if frozen they seemed to be still alive and capable of movement, best they could do now was wriggling though. She grabbed the hooks of his back with her powered fist.

"This is for the soldiers you have killed!" Yelled her pulling hard and tearing them off, vertebrae and ribs falling down with them. His body was only standing still because of the freezing, the moment it got warm again he would die, the daemon didn't had that destiny as the Commissar finished him short after.

"Nobody messes with my soldiers but me!" Screeched closing her fist and decapitating him with a massive uppercut.

The daemon was over. Elyadien´s visions wouldn't come true...Speaking of her. You wonder if now that her work is done and that the ship still has a few days of travel before reaching its destination it would be a good idea revealing her to the Commissar.

>A: Keep yourself shut. She helped you in destroying the Daemon.

Better keep your speaker mute in this topic. Without her all of you would have been dead.

Without anything better to do you and the other techpriest were sent with a platoon of guardsmen to recover all the fragments of the daemon and send them to a incinerator.

You had permit and were implicitly ordered to turn on the heat as higher as possible. The tainted meat of the daemon became burnt and turned into ashes.

The Commissar gave to all the surviving members, including yourself, a special permit to rest for the few days remaining before reaching our destination. If it weren't because of her great dimensions and the great weight of her arms her soldiers would have carried her on his arms out of that hole.

Speaking of the slave slums. Imperial Navy crew made searching patrols. The following days a few slaves were found alive, mostly children who were able to hidden in small holes. After a quick medical check they were sent to work but the low slave labour available after the massacre wasn't enough, power cuts started to happen from time to time but living was bearable for the non-slaves that lived above. Luckily for us the planet we where heading to was a prison planet. The captain would be able to "recruit" plenty of slaves from there.

All you did was head to your bed and rest.

>HerNhv:
We need to meet.

>UrMoem69:
My job is done Mon-keigh, congratulations on surviving but I wouldn't need anything else from someone like you.

>HerNhv:
What will happen now? Have you gotten new visions?

>UrMoem69:
My seer powers are far from your comprehension. The future is clear to me but that doesn't means that I have to share it with the blind ones.

>HerNhv:
Nothing is stopping me from revealing your façade. Let's meet.

>UrMoem69:
Is a slow death what you are seeking techpriest? I would gladly give you the soft kiss of my blade if that it what you are seeking.

>HerNhv:
I am not your enemy. I just want to know what will happen now.

>UrMoem69:
Well...it's not like I have much else to do but hide. Meet me in my room in a hour.

>Free action.

Those three days are pretty much to do whatever you desire guys. Take advantage of it.

>Use the time to get chummy with IG, Skitarii, Oihan
>Also spend that getting chummy time in training
Maybe the skitarii will lend us a melta or plasma weapon or a poweraxe
>>
>Train up
>>
>>37202118
pretty much. I'm not even sure how skilled Heracor is. He's obviously capable but how much is augmentics and how much is his own talents?

Oh and obviously go deal with the freaking Eldar. This oughta be interesting.
>>
>>37202118
Supporting
>>
>>37202118
Well he's now gonna meet the Eldar. But that obviously will not take 3 days. Don't worry we will train and such later.

I am now asking for free actions to do with Elyadien. What should the techpriest ask or do to the Xeno.
>>
>>37202177
Oh, sorry, I thought you were asking what to do with the time we don't spend meeting her.

>Meet her
>Discuss what other factions are involved with the planet we are travelling to
>Find out whether there are other foes already identified that we must deal with in time
>Persuade her it's in her best interests to continue cooperating with us that go alone - yes her cover is blown to us but we have no intention of revealing her to others whilst she cooperates
>Request if we can examine some of her weapons or use them once as a sign of faith for assisting in dealing with the red hook. Offer her our custom lasgun, though she'll no doubt derisively decline
>Ask more about the reliability and ways her sight into the futures works
>>
>>37202255
My fault, i didn't explained myself good enough. Working on it
>>
>>37202320
Hey, foreign language yo. Don't sweat it.
>>
>>37202255
I don't want to threaten her. If we're going to be working together, I don't want it to be forced.

Hell, I don't want to work with her.
>>
>>37202353
Well, there is always the option of try to kill her personally.
>>
>>37202353
>Hell, I don't want to work with her.
Letting her operate alone is hardly a good idea though. If we don't work with her we must turn her in.

And sure, needing to threaten her to cooperate isn't something I want to do but it's very much IC and we can be a perfect gentleman to her when she DOES cooperate.
>>
>>37202374
Nah, I just don't want to work with her.
>>
>>37202353
Agreed but its better to keep her in sight and in reach.

The worst place an eldar can EVER be is out of your sight.

Thats when the sword goes up your spine. its a delicate game but we need to juggle it otherwise who knows what psyker crap she'll pull
>>
>>37202380
>>37202391
isn't she just going to be fucking off back to the craftworld as soon as possible?
>>
>>37202402
No, she's still got business to take care of on that planet.
>>
>>37202402
>>37202423
She hasn't spoken a word about what will she do once she reaches the planet. The others have funded reasons to not trust her.
>>
>>37202433
Always. Keep. Eldar. In. Sight. Always.

They literally only care for their own kind and will happily end us, the planet, and everything on it if it saves one stupid fucking eldar life.

Considering its been mentioned the planet may or may not house a deamon powerful enough that it took an entire planet being used to seal it away this could go all kinds of bad.

About forty minutes later you were already heading towards her room. Lights flickered as you advanced, power shortages still affecting every part of the ship at apparently random intervals.

You were glad to enter the Mechanicum cathedral once again, most of your fellow techpriests greeted you

Aretodee-2 seemed to be way more relaxed...maybe he had some latent psyker powers that were never developed because he focused all his live to the Omnnisiah...maybe he discovered how to synthetically generate psykerdom on humans brain...probably it was because O'Jackis was taking care of him at the moment.

Haxmas seemed nervous. He told me that watching the Red Hook for so long has given him nightmares. If he doesn't recovers a mind wipe will be the only nonlethal solution for him.

Todd just gave you a thumbs up as you passed by.

On Elyadien's door the name "Urmo" was inscribed in a plaque. You almost fell offended knowing that mechanicum machinery was used to create part of a Xeno's disguise. The entrance was unlocked so you entered.

It looked pretty normal, nothing heretical nor utterly alien to your surprise.

"Welcome, Heracor" She said with her crystalline and true voice.

"You know what I am here for, what will happen now"

"This was nothing but the beginning. As we talk the Khornate presence of the daemon Hekatonkhiros is corrupting the people of the planet. Riots are happening in them and both prisoners and guards are pretty much killing each other. The Imperium accepts it because it is a way of getting countless of soon to be dead people into their horrible penal legions."

"So? There are riots...Those soldiers will end them right?"

"As I explained before Hekatonkhiros was sealed in that planet for a good reason. Daily volcanic eruptions and ash storms that send both fire and black dust all across the globe. We didn't though that nobody would be ignorant enough to settle there...but this was millennia before the humans settled into the starts, we didn't know how kind stupid your people can be."

You clinched your fist angrily. Humanity was the only race with the right of knowledge. They were anything but stupid.

"If I am not wrong the constant riots and death have been feeding the daemon passively. It can now contact in dreams or any other mean with what he considers deserving and that way create heretic cults. It won't take long until those cults grow in power and end releasing the daemon.",

"So, once we reach the planet we will fight heretics?"

"It isn't never so easy, life is not simple. I wish you could understand it...Once we reach the planet the soldiers will have to fight the rioting prisoners with the few remaining guards. Some prisoners that have been conscripted in the penal legions might fight with on your side too. There will be also the heretics, those will surely kill anybody who isn't part of their cult...If they grow in power they might be able to invoke Bloodletters or other daemons"

"Guardsmen alongside Prison guards and Penal legion fighting against Heretics who also fight Rioting prisoners"

The part poor poor Heracor is missing is that Khorne takes all kinds of combat when his cults are involved, ally enemy don't matter its all his and all his blood.

Emperor this is gonna be a doozie if we don't stop the cults above all else. As long as they don't dedicate the violence to the elder gods and shit we might have a chance of stopping this. at least for our lifetime

The Eldar rolled her big eyes.

"We have to cooperate. Avoid that bloodshed!" You said getting more and more desperate as she talked.

"Eldars have avoided that destiny for ages with the sacrifices of many of their members in the heroic act that led to the sealing of that vile and murderous Daemon. No Eldar life will be slain again because of the mistakes of the Sons of Terra...But do not worry, if everything is beyond salvation we will act...Carry on and rest Heracor, the war is at its brink but it hasn't started yet."
>>
I'm gonna end this for today. I'm tired already. Feel free to write questions, opinions and critics, I will answer them all.

>>37203185
Khorne is going to be feed from the conflict yes but It is better if they don't let its daemons to access the realspace and liberate its long lost Greater Daemon.

I would recommend focusing on the Heretics of course but who knows where in the planet they are and honestly, carrying an investigation with a war around you isn't a easy task.
>>
>>37203281
Thanks for running. Maybe we should try to infiltrate the cultists
>>
>>37203281
good run today/tonight/whatevers

And what the hell does she mean "act"?

The only ones that get to do an exterimantus is the fucking imperium of man elf woman!
>>
>>37203281
thanks for running!
Also fallout quest when?
>>
>>37203340
It is known that Eldars have contacts with some Inquisition members, maybe they could get the use of a Exterminatus indirectally...Maybe they would just aid the humans by dumping soldiers...We will see

>>37203364
MexiFallout quest will start when this is over so... I cannot answer that question really.
Unlike this one it will have dice rolls and stats based on the SPECIAL system.
I have also the first thread on my head and I'm collecting some cool pics for the thread. Have one now.

The only thing I can tell you is that the protagonists knows both english as spanish.
