If you’re a die-hard lover of canon, I suggest you turn away now. Like all things 40k, the gauntlet runs from “worshiping the printed word” to “over the top silliness.” Most of the time it’s somewhere in between. Others it swerves hard to one side and/or breaks this model entirely. You’ve been warned in advance.

All rolls go against a specified characteristic in the style of Black Crusade. You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure.

Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1 or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If multiple characteristics are being rolled for each 1d100 counts for its respective test. Any rolls prior to the call for one and those not linking said post will be ignored.

You may burn (i.e. gone forever) 10 infamy to completely reroll a check (i.e. three new 1d100). If you have above 10 infamy, you are allowed a single additional 1d100 roll for any check during a session.

Excessive meta/whining/waifu’ing/etc goes to another thread. Blatant Samefaggotry and overly lewd write-ins will be ignored.

It’s been several weeks since your little foray amongst the twin stars. In that time you’ve mostly kept to yourself and out of the way. The logistics and management of scrap recovery just doesn’t appeal to you in the slightest. Nor does whatever passes for corruption when it comes to an Eldar. You’re a daemon of Khorne after all. If something doesn’t offer you a proper battle or a means to test your mettle then it isn’t worth your time.

Unless, of course, said activities come at the request of a certain Plaguebearer or Lady of Change. They get a free pass. Right? Still, you feel like you’ve been neglecting your Khornely duties lately. You don’t have nearly enough skulls should your patron decide to drop in for tea again. And that’s a problem.

In any case, the moment you receive word that the Engine’s ready to get underway again you’re already in motion towards the bridge. To your surprise, Sytili is already there, floating off to the side of several readouts and displays. The Zoanthrope’s the only living thing present besides you, which is odd as you’ve usually seen her only in the company of Acerea. Is it your imagination or do the Tyranid’s talons seem longer?

“Sssssso…” Sytili begins, turning mid-air to look at you as you enter. “Where are we headed?”

Hey, how many Wraithlord spears did we get from the binary sunset?
>>
>>37112143

You shrug, shaking your head for added effect. “As eager as I am to actually DO something I haven’t decided yet. But I do know one thing: wherever we’re going will involve skulls. Lots and lots of skulls.”

The Zoanthrope snickers, practically hissing with mirth. “More biomatter issss alwayssss a good thing. Essspecially sssince there isss but ssso much we can do with the Wraithbone we jussst collected.”

“Makes me wonder why we bothered collecting it at all…” you reply as you move over to sit into the Captain’s Chair. The wide-backed, brass-colored seat is something you had installed after finding out the old one was too small for you. You wouldn’t dare call it a throne but sitting in it does impart a sense of visual superiority.

“It’ssss not all for naught. We’ll be able to make sssome good armor and weaponsss out of it at the very leassst. And there’sss alssso the Webway componentsssss…”

You wave her off, “No skulls though. Or blood. That’s what I’m after.”

“I sssupposse it would be bessst we found you an outlet that doesssn’t involve ssstrangling my flock.”

“Hey it’s not my fault they couldn’t…”

Sytili laughs again. “They will. In time.”

A grunt serves as your reply. Using controls built into the armrest of the chair, you pull up a starmap on one of the displays. “I figure the bloodiest thing to do would be to blow that station in Rubycon II out of the heavens,” you say. “And it’d deal the Imperium a great blow.”

“We’re but one ssship though,” counter Sytili. “Do you think you could do sssuch a thing? It sssseemssss almosssst ssssuicidal...”

“Hi. I’m Cinder. I’m a Bloodthir-”

“Jusssst making sssure… Are there other placesss though?”

You swirl the map around, highlighting a few planets as you do. “If I know one thing about the Imperium it’s that there’s always a few planets that can turn into a warzone with the right push. Those could take some time though. After the initial push I’m liable to be out of worthy opponents.”

(cont)
>>
>>37112810

“Isssn’t that alwaysss the cassse when it comesss to you though?”

You raise an eyebrow. “Was that a compliment?”

“It wasss sssuppossed to be, Yesss.”

“Hm. Just making sure.”

The two of you sit in silence for a time, both staring at the starmap. Sytili breaks it by asking, “What would happen if you issssued an open challenge?”

You rub your chin in thought, your golden tipped claws sliding over your red skin. “The Imperium would probably send some Grey Knights. Quite a few in fact. It might even attract some other daemons if worded properly. But…”

“But that involvessss sssitting around, waiting,” she finishes for you. “I sssupposse it wasss a bad idea. Never mind…”

“Better a bad idea than a bad weapon. Reminds me, I should give Wormbag some grief the next time I see him. ‘Not worthy of a weapon’ my ass.”

“Who’ssss Wormbag?”

Come to think of it, you’ve never told your entire history to someone. Now seems like a good a time as any to practice. Half of a legend’s pervasiveness is due to how it’s told, after all. How can you expect a Herald to get it right if you yourself can’t?

To that end you tell Sytili (nearly) everything, from the time your birth to when she joined your merry band of heretics. Much to your amusement she seems to listen attentively the entire time you speak, even asking questions in places. By the end of if you swear the Zoanthrope’s even sporting the beginnings of a reddish hue.

“I sssshould have aasssked earlier,” she remarks. “It isss a good ssstory.”

You smile. “Glad you think so. First time I’ve told it. It probably needs revision in places before it gets sent into the Immaterium or across the Imperium.”

“Definitely needssss more ssskullsss in placessss. I’ll work on a versssion in my ssspare time.”

“Huh. Thanks, Sytili. You’d be a better Herald than Proditus if you came up with something.”

She tilts her head to the side. “Who’s Proditus?”

You’re confused at first. Didn’t you mention him? On thinking on it, though, you realize you glazed over him in the same manner you did Small-Horn. And that he’s been on the Engine this entire time, likely holed up in his room.

“No one important. He’s the astropath I mentioned earlier. If you sense another psyker aboard that’s probably him.”

Sytili narrows her eyes for a moment then shakes her head. “There issss only myssself, Kaysssisss, and Acerea. No one elssse ssshowsss sssignsss of pssychic potential.”

Well that’s a problem.

It’s a good thing you had your chair reinforced. Else the speed and force behind you leaping to your feet might have crushed it. “Of all the stupid, inconsiderate… I did NOT give him permission to die. Or to leave. But for his sake it’d better be that he died.”

“I’ll come with you if you don’t mind,” comments Sytili. She’s already floating behind you in your wake as you storm from the bridge. The two of you reach Proditus’ quarters in short order. There’s not a soul inside. No body, no personal effects, hell you’re not even sure someone was ever even here to begin with. Needless to say, you’re fuming.

Containing your rage (for the moment) you begin a thorough search of the room. By the time you’re finished it looks like a warzone - complete with gashes in the walls and debris strewn about. The only thing you find that confirms Proditus WAS here at some point is a bit of his robes: a torn, ragged scrap of black cloth. You would have missed it entirely had you not ripped the bed to shreds.

“When I find him…” you growl, clenching the bit of fabric impossibly hard in your claws.

“Let me ssssee it,” ask Sytili. “Maybe I can learn more.”

Sytili pulls the cloth into the air before her from your hand when you offer it out. As her eyes narrow you note that the zoanthrope’s expose brain seems to pulse with energy. She remains silent for a full minute before relaxing and letting the bit of robe drop to the floor.

“He teleported to the Blood Raven’ssss ssship jusssst before it left.”

You open your mouth to roar in anger only for Sytili to stop you with a raised talon. “It getssss worsssse. Or better depending on your definition I think. Ignitrix ssseemsss to have ssssealed the Ravenssss into a bubble in the Warp.”

“I… what…” You’re at a loss for words. Sorcery is not something you know about other than it has no place in a proper battle. “Why would she do that?”

Impulse almost sees you demanding that Sytili bring the Ravens here to face your wrath. But then you remember that Ignitrix might be keeping them there for a reason. Getting vengeance isn’t worth messing up the Lady of Change’s plans.

Exercising supreme restraint, you take a deep breath. “No. Leave them there.”

Sytili tilts her head slightly to the left. “You ssssure? I would have thought…”

A growl quiets her. “I’m not as foolhardy as my fellows. In filling my need for blood I may ruin Ignitrix’s designs. Which then may lead to further problems down the line. Don’t get me wrong. I HATE the fact I’m doing this. There’s skulls RIGHT THERE that might deserve being taken and I’m passing them up.”

“You ssssure do trust her,” remarks the Zoanthrope. “I understand why after hearing your ssstory but to anyone elssse…”

She falls silent. Probably for fear of your fury even though she has a good point. In a certain light, naive outsiders might see this turn of events as a part of some greater betrayal. But Ignitrix wouldn’t do that to you. You wouldn’t believe it even if such a thing happened unless she told you herself. Maybe that’s a fault of yours. Maybe that’s why you’re not dead in a ditch somewhere - you’re capable of forging relationships instead of only screaming bloody murder and rushing foolheartedly into battle.

You notice that Sytili has begun to inch towards the door while you think. It’s no wonder why. You are a towering inferno of rage at the moment. Maybe you should say something.

There's more than enough Cinder to go around.

And besides, Iggy and Sytili should hang out more. They're both psykers. Maybe Sytili could learn from Birdbrain's tomes or something. Get a little chaos magic going on.
>>
>>37115228

Khornate daemons tend to not have many jokes. There’s no time to be funny when you’re charging across no-man’s land betwixt plasma fire. But you do know of one joke that is sure to lighten the mood and break the tension.

“Hey, Sytili,” you say.

Her talons chitter apprehensively. “Yesss?”

“__________________________________________________________”

She starts to sport a smile. “And then?”

“And then I say to him, ‘that’s not a skull, that’s my Juggernaut!’”

With that the Zoanthrope actually bursts into laughter. You follow suit with a booming laugh of your own. All traces of stress in the air vanish. You’re still mad, of course, but Sytili is definitely now at ease being around you.

“I would not have thought you were capable of humor,” teases Sytili. “Essspecially at a time like thisss.”

You wink. “Work it into my story somehow.”

She chitters in amusement and turns towards the door. “Come with me. I think we both know you ssstill need to ssssmassh ssssomeone’s head in. Better I try thissss downssstairs.”

Before you can reply she already starts to float out. You try not to wag your tail as you follow her. “You don’t have to do that,” you say. “Contrary to popular belief, Khornates don’t explode if we have excess amounts of rage built up.”

“No?”

“Okay maybe sometimes we do. But I don’t.”

“Mmm~”

Eventually the pair of you arrive at the Deck where your Tyranid strain is located. After passing through the segregation bulkheads and putting up the Gellar Field around the rest of the ship, Sytili motions for you to step back. “I got the idea when you were talking about that Ork. I think thissss will be a very good ssstresss reliever…”

Her cranium flashes brightly. Before her a tear in reality opens. Out of it drops No-Horn.

He looks around, his eyes first alighting on Sytili. After sneering he continues to look around. The moment he sees you his skin literally turns white and his tail goes limp between his legs.

> We’ll try a write in. What do?

Just as the pathetic excuse of daemon starts to whimper in fear, you reach out and grab him by the throat. As you lift him to be at eye level you get the distinct feeling that it’d take little more than a twitch of your claws to crush him. Something you’re all too keen to make clear via a sadistic grin.

“Why Hello, weakling,” you rumble. “How very nice of you to come and visit. Staying awhile?”

You squeeze just enough to prevent him from talking. His own “claws” feebly scratch at yours in an attempt to break free. “What’s that?” you say. “Speak up! I can’t hear you!” His efforts double. It’s almost cute in the same way that crushing ants beneath a boot is cute.

Sytili giggles at the entire display. Behind her, from the dark recesses of the rest of the Deck, you hear what you suppose passes for Gaunt laughter. “Sssshall I leave you two alone or…?”

“Oh no, please, stay Sytili. I’d like him to meet all my new friends!” No-Horn manages a squeak at that. Which prompts you to take ahold of the base of his tail with your other claws.

“You know, I wonder what will happen if I pull this?” you muse, digging into his flesh and pulling the limb away from the daemon’s body. “Will my wind-up toy squeak again?”

A sickening, satisfying, squelching snap accompanies the wet sound of blood splattering everywhere as his tail comes free. Like a lizard’s might it continues to writhe as the nerves spasm out of control. Interestingly, the tail returns to a proper red color the moment it’s free from the failure that is No-Horn. “Well would you LOOK AT THAT! Maybe if I tear you apart I can build a proper daemon from the refuse!”

(cont)
>>
>>37116675

Sytili coughs, prompting you to look up. Beyond her are rows and rows of gaunts. Each has eyes aflame with the hunger for blood. You nod and throw the soon-to-be-dead-again daemon into the masses. “But I’ve kept you too long! Go on then! Meet my friends!”

What follows next is a feeding frenzy. It’s over in seconds. There’s nothing left of the daemon save the tail in your hand. And even that’s beginning to fade away.

“Thanks, Sytili. I needed that.” You stretch out a hand as if to headpat her though you stop just before it connects. Not for lack of wanting to but because you’ve noticed the fact her normally white chitin’s turned a light red. For sure this time. Before the pause gets awkward, though, the Zoanthrope pushes her head up into your claw.

“Anytime~” she sings. “I hope thissss all meansss you’ll be able to make a better decisssion now about where to go.”

“Hrm. I do feel less on edge, that’s for sure.” You apply another two pats before withdrawing. “But that little bit of blood does make me want more. So…”

Planet it is. But which one?

> [1] Fervious - Feudal World

Via the Wiki: The entire population of Fervious inhabits one sprawling shanty city. This has spawned a very violent and callous culture where murder is an accepted form of dispatching rivals and as a way of gaining wealth and influence.

> [2] Maccabeus Quintus - Shrine World

Via the Wiki: A world of vast, dry, salt flats, dust-laden winds, and harsh, chill sun, the fifth planet of the unforgiving Maccabeus system is a site for pilgrimage across the Calixis Sector and is the heart of the Drusian Cult within the Ecclesiarchy. Unlike many Shrine Worlds, Maccabeus Quintus has a significant military tradition all its own. Following after their patron, discipline and endurance are regarded as the greatest of virtues, and to defend or expand the Imperium in battle is regarded as the most pious form of worship.

“...Let’s go massacre a planet or two.” You start to move towards the exit and motion for Sytili to follow.

“Do you have a particular one in mind? We really could usssse raw mineralsss and the like for biomasss.”

You shrug. “Not offhand. But I’m thinking a Feudal-type world would suit both our needs. It shouldn’t be too hard to find one.”

Once back on the bridge the two of you look over the Engine’s database for a suitable target. One planet in the Drusus Marches, right on the other side of Port Wander in the grand scheme of things, sticks out in particular: Fervious. Noted under the old name of Vasenrule, the Feudal World seems to be ripe for a little Chaos: a culture where violence is commonplace, horrid living conditions, and more. Plus the planet’s tithe seems to be a mixture of men, raw materials, and poisons. All combined it makes Fervious ideal for everyone aboard.

“My one complaint,” says Sytili as you set the AI on the task of navigating the Obscenity Engine. “If you could call it that, issss that thisss might take sssome time. Even if I unleasssh a ssswarm on the planet it will take yearssss to properly sssstrip it dry.”

Leaning back in your chair, tail upon your lap, you reply, “I can’t imagine we will stay for that long. Just long enough to lure out some sort of Inquisitorial Response and thus someone worth fighting. From there either the planet will corrupt itself or the Inquisition will burn it for being tainted. Either suits me. One less world for the humans to hide on.”

“Sssso are we going to be overt or covert? It makesss a difference which biomorphsss I ssspawn…”

Sytili chitters happily, her talons twitching. “Genesssstealersss and Rippersss it isss. But I’m curioussss: how will you be disssguissing yourself?”

Oh. Right. Ignitrix used to do that. “Well I thought I might just put on my fancy hat and wave the rosette in front of anyone who asks.” The Zoanthrope misses your sarcasm and thus stares at you like you’re an idiot. “That was a joke, Sytili. I’m honestly not sure.”

“I could try it mysssself, but you might lossse your daemonic powersss asss a resssult. Acerea would be better if you wanted to keep those intact but she’ll need to reapply it more regularly. Jussst something to think about.”

“Hm. I’ll let you know before we hit planetside…” You stand and start to make your way back towards your quarters. Before you leave the bridge, however, you say one last thing over your shoulder. “Thanks Sytili. For today.”

“Anytime~”

---

Your trip to Fervious is uneventful for the most part. It’s only once you arrive in orbit around the Feudal World that you bother leaving your room. Curiously, you’re met almost instantly by the Eldar, Kaysis. She seems to be mostly the same from when you last saw her. Though, on closer inspection, she seems to have a rash of sorts that makes her skin scaled and dried out. It doesn’t seem to bother her, or at least she show no signs of caring about it.

“Um. Hi,” she begins. “Cinder, right?”

“Yes…”

You give her another once-over before turning to the right and motioning with your tail for her to follow. “I don’t see why you can’t. Have at it.”

She mutters an appreciative “Thanks,” then falls silent. From the little you’ve interacted with her this seems to be how she is. You can respect that. Though curiosity gets the better of you.

“So… everything alright? Enjoying yourself?”

“Huh? I uh… I guess? I’m not having nightmares anymore. So I guess that’s something…”

You look to the side at her and raise an eyebrow. “You were having nightmares?”

Kaysis nods. “Horrible ones. She-who-thirsts kept trying to rip my soul apart. And if it wasn’t her it was others of my race calling me a traitor and trying to kill me.” You note that she punctuates the remark with a shudder.

“And now?”

“Now… Now I go to a nice garden when I sleep or when I meditate. It’s nice and peaceful. Sometimes old friends visit too. But…”

“But?”

The Eldar stops in place. You follow suit a few steps beyond before rounding on her. “But I still feel like I’m wrong. Acerea’s all but drilled the dichotomy of Nurgle and Isha’s relationship into me but I still feel out of place. Like I either should be a shambling horror due to my sins or a paragon of purity for my race. Maybe that doesn’t make any sense…”

She bites her lip, obviously nervous. Maybe you should say something.

“Well if it makes you feel any better, none of us are exactly ‘normal’ members of our respective factions. For example…”

As with Sytili you launch into your history. This time around you’re bit more quick about it though. Kaysis more or less remains silent while you speak but you never once get the sense she’s not listening. When you finish, she quietly mumbles, “I’m glad you’re not as I thought a Khornate daemon would be.”

“Hm? And what might that be?” you ask.

“Loud. Angry all the time. Unreasonable. Stupid. Reckless.”

You grin and let your tail sway behind you. “To be fair, I am about half, if not all, of those things sometimes. Just yesterday, in fact…”

“Yes, Sytili told me all about it. She was really happy about it by the way.”

“So you two are on speaking terms then? Good. I’m glad. Acerea was worried you two would hate each other.”

She frowns and starts to rub her forearm. Several skin flakes fall from her rash there and vanish into nothingness as a result. Whatever plague has begun to manifest in the Eldar must be Warp-based. “I did. At first. She terrified me. But after talking with her I can’t blame her personally for what her race did to my Craftworld.” As an afterthought, Kaysis adds, “It’s actually hard to hate her. I think she took something from Acerea in that regard.”

“Khorne I hope not. I couldn’t handle that level of mother henning.”

You get a flat “Hah” in return. Something, at least.

Having wasted a good amount of time talking with Kaysis everyone else of import is already on the Bridge when you arrive. Acerea and Sytili seem to be pouring over a surface scan of Fervious, trying to determine how best to deploy their forces. Makes you wonder what the others would have been per degree of success. Acerea probably was a d4 and Sytili a d8 if I had to guess.
>>
>>37119729

You motion at the holographic display of Fervious. “I’d like to welcome you all to our first attempt at corrupting a planet of the Imperium. We’re bound to make mistakes so the important thing is to stay alive and learn from them.”

Sytili raises a talon and waits for you to call on her, “I thought the most important thing wassss taking sssskullsss.”

“Oh it is but that goes without saying,” you reply. “Literally everything I do has that as the number one priority.”

Acerea giggles, “Especially when it comes to headpats~”

“Especially that,” you growl. “Anyways, I figure I’ll…”

The five of you (including the AI) spend the next hour or so going over the plan of attack. Sytili, Acerea, and Kaysis will be working on corrupting the planet’s famous Styger Dairy Farms. With the anti-venom beverage out of the way and used instead as an infection vector the planet will quickly fall into disorder. Meanwhile you’ll be having a few choice duels and enacting a few murders to gain influence. Enough that when the planetary government begins to shows signs of collapsing you can sweep in and take control.

Ideally you won’t have to use the Rosette to do so. In fact you plan on not revealing yourself as being either an Inquisitor or as Cinder the Bloodthirster the entire time you’re down on the planet. To that end, you look over at Kaysis.

“Kaysis,” you begin. “How good are you at weaving illusions?”

She starts but quickly recovers. “Moderately skilled. Most of my former ship’s defenses were holographically-based. But I’m guessing you need something more than that…”

“Indeed. I can’t have any passing psykers know what I am.”

Another lip bite. “That will be difficult. I can try and make something that conceals your daemonic presence while also making it feed off of your own energy. And then with a little something that we scavenged... Yes I think I can make it work…”

“Do it then. How long will I have?”

(cont)
>>
>>37120386

She shakes her head and falls silent as she begins to concentrate. By the end of her spell you’ve become a rather tall, Amazon-like human female with blazing red hair. It’s not until she fastens a small bit of Wraithbone about your collar that she says, “Eleven hours. That’s all you have until it’ll need to be refreshed. And even that’s a guess. Honestly if you’d just learn to do it yours…”

Acerea nudges her, “She’s a Khornate, remember? They don’t really do sorcery. Or stealth. Well most of the time anyways~” The Plaguebearer winks at you.

You roll your eyes as you test out how well your disguise works. It seems so long as you don’t show off your daemonic nature too much it’ll hold up just fine (-10 to all WS, Ag, S, and WP checks while the illusion holds). “This will do, thanks Kaysis.”

“Y-Yeah…”

From there you all split up and head down to Fervious in your own ways. Should you need to get into contact with one another you can always use the Engine as a vox relay. But for now, you head to…

Not wanting to attract too much attention, you end up going through one of the smaller spaceports outside the 3rd largest city, Temsor. With a few stares and choice words you manage to track down a Dairy Farm that’s mostly out of the way. Originally, you’d thought to go after the city’s government. But after seeing practically everyone from peasant to noble alike drinking Styger Milk you realize there’s some potential to be had. If you prop up one of the farms and keep it uncorrupted you’ll have prime means to do a little corruption of your own. You’ve only just started spitballing ideas about tournaments with milk as a reward by the time you arrive at the farm proper.

Torth’s Farm. It cannot get any plainer name-wise. The farm itself is relatively small, with only a single barn, three fields, and five Stygers. You’re no experts on the beast of burden but you’re pretty sure one of the animals is a male based on the horns alone. Defense-wise, Torth has a few mercenaries sporting banded armor and sharp katanas patrolling the perimeter. The man himself seems to be sporting a plasma pistol and a sword of his own, sitting on his porch watching as the grass blows in the wind.

You yourself are still on the road leading up to the farm. Lingering too long will just mean questions so you’d best decide what to do quickly.

As you call out to get the nearest guard’s attention you flex your hidden claws. “Excuse me! Can you help me? I’ve gotten lost and need directions!”

Of course the man is all but eager to help a woman on her own. The moment he’s within reach you storm forward and barrel past his defenses. Your claws easily pierce the simple hides and leather of his chest armor, as do they his sternum. The moment you have purchase upon his spine you rip your hand back. The resulting movement causes the human to go spinning midair as he’s torn apart by his own bones.

This turn of events causes Torth to immediately begin shouting an alarm. Other guards come rushing at you from the perimeter, curved blades at the ready. Foolishly, they rush you as a group. You duck under the first wave and throw them into the swords of the second. The survivors of that have their skulls ripped from their heads and are then beaten to death. It’s only once you’re completely coated with blood and surrounded by the giblets of some fifteen mercenaries that you remember Torth is your ultimate target.

By now the man’s returned to the porch with now two pistols in hand. He’s also sporting a complete set of Guardsman Flak armor.

“YOU CAN TAKE MY FARM, BUT YOU’LL NEVER TAKE MY MILK!”

You’re not even going to touch that one.

A barrage of pinning plasma fire erupts from the man’s hand cannons, forcing you to drop low to the ground amongst the viscera. While there you grab a few skulls and palm them. The moment you sense a break in the gunfire you begin rushing towards the man. All the while, you roar and attempt to hit the man with the skulls you just took. Whether it’s due to your disguise or because you can’t aim the result is the same: each bone goes wide or passes harmlessly by Torth.

“SHIT! STUPID PIECE OF…” he yells, throwing a pistol away into your path as it begins to overload. You’ve got maybe two, three seconds before the weapon explodes like a grenade.

“I’m sorry but your package has insufficent postage,” you say, reaching down to pluck up the pistol and heft it in your claws. “RETURN. TO. SENDER!”

With that you (carefully) aim and send the weapon flying like a boomerang. It soars cleanly through the air and hits Torth right in between his eyes as it detonates. The ensuing green explosion completely vaporizes the man and takes half of the porch with him. From out in the fields the Stygers “moo” in alarm.

You want to maintain the illusion best you can so you begin policing the bodies and cleaning up the scene. You’re almost completely done before you see a truck coming up the road. Before you can hide it’s pulled up beside you. Inside is another farm-type.

“Ol’ Torth bit the bullet eh?” the wizened man asks. “Suppose it be about that time o’year. Wass yur name lass?”

“Torch,” you reply. “I’m Torch.”

“Well leass you don’t hafta change the sign too much then. You be careful now, neighbor.”

And then he leaves. Well that was easy.

Speaking of Ignitrix, does she have a plan to intercept the Blue Scribes when they find their last spell? I mean, I'm sure every Lord of Change, Herald, and Champion of Tzeetch has that same plan though. I'm just wandering if she's going to pass it up, or has a plan that accounts or depends on others trying to get their knowledge.

Oh yeah, that could be a fun little encounter that could decide the fate of the universe. I hope we run into them!

My guess? Either that's how she becomes the Big Bird or they get created when she does ascend to the chair.

Get's even more interesting if the Changeling gets in on the action, pretending to be one of our friends to get to his goal. He'd probably use the spells to coerce Tzeetch into telling him what his original form was, then go on a galactic pranking and trolling spree.

How do we know he's not already involved?

God damn it. Sytili was right!

> It turns out those chair meetings were all the Changeling fucking with Ignitrix and Cinder
> Turns out Ignitrix asked/is asking/will ask the Changeling to do so once she becomes/is/will be Tzeentch
> Cinder doesn't give a fuck and headpats her anyways.

All this just for some milk....

End of Next Thread:
>Sytili looks upon you with worry on her face. "Cinde-"
>"EH!?" you grunt questioningly.
>"Err, Miss Torch, why are you hitting your own supply?"
>You wipe the milk off your upper lip, and say, "Get outta here, ya fucking cock-a-roach!"
>Later, the Inquisition shows up, and a big gunfight ensues.
>"Say 'HELLO!' to my little friend!" you shout at them as you whip out your Grey Knight heavy bolter.
>The Inquisition forces are decimated. However, you hear footsteps behind you!
>That can't be right, you didn't feel any presence-
>Your head is wiped clean from your shoulders, disappearing into nothingness.
>The Culexus scurries off into the shadows to carry out the Emperor's Will some more.
>The neon sign on the giant brass torch flashes over head, "Let the Galaxy Burn"

I thought this milk was just a really good way to prevent yourself from getting poisoned. When did it turn into liquid cocaine?!

Drinking milk makes your skull bigger and shinier.
