Synopsis: Aleksy, Lyann's father, was killed during a fight with monsters outside of town. His brother, Voska, inherited ownership of Aleksy's household, including of course, Lyann herself, as well as Aleksy's slave and Lyann's mother, Berule.

Since Voska fancied Berule, he used Lyann as a bargaining chip to demand pleasure from the pretty slave, which caused Theresa and Andrianna, his wife and daugther, to resent Berule and Lyann, even if they had no real saying over Voska's behavior.

While Voska was away during a long business trip, Theresa's abuse of Berule lead to her death, leaving Lyann alone to bear the brunt of the women's scorn, and making her into a target of heavy abuse.

With Voska's return imminent, and fearing what he would do once he learnt of Berule's fate, Theresa and Andrianna sent Lyann to the slaver's stockade, and told Voska that Berule had taken her daugther and ran.

Fearing what would happen to Berule if she was caught by the authorities, Voska never reported the incident, and instead kept quietly looking for her and his niece.

Voska was certainly no knight in shining armor, but he still cared about the fate of his niece. This chapter would start with him finally running into Lyann.

In most cases you'd be right, but this is an RPG verse. That means it's all "adventure" friendly. The setting itself contrives coincidences to allow for the average murderhobo to dungeon dive, slay dragons, and generally make a good living out of killing things and taking their stuff.

Thus, it's only as unlikely as you think it should be. You're the GM after all, you're running this thing, you get to decide on these matters.

Alright, let's fast forward quickly with just a few especially noteworthy stuff along the way.

Also, some anons wanted Eldric's first time to be with lyann and others with Mako, and I thought a couple of days ago... what if it was with Ren? she's an empress in a matriarchy. Consort/husband or not, she is probably expected to produce heirs, and Eldric is the nicest, most handsome guy around.

Or Stella. It could be something cutesy emanating from her playfulness + her first mating season. Tho I don't really see it happening because I feel Eldric really thinks of both Stella and Zoe as cutesy little sisters, even if they have nice bodies.

Also, a friend pointed out that the missionary position was so called because, honestly, the missionaries brought it to new lands and/or popularizated it.

Enjoying the last days of summer break at home before the start of the new school year, Eldric is playing outside with Zoe and Lyann.

Well, it's not as if Lyann is running away at full speed or anything. She's just gracefully hopping backwards on tiptoes while staying close to Athena.

We wait until they pass by close, and suddenly reach out to grab Lyann by the waist and pulls her into a hug before she can react.

"H-hey! you traitor!" ~she says laughing softly as she lands on Eldric's lap
"Yay! Eldric, thankyou!" ~says Athena as she pits pots with her small feet over the grass so she can leap-huggle Lyann too

Lyann sighs, resigned to spending a fair chunk of time redoing her hair in the near future, but happy about the hug. She does a fake escape attempt, just so Eldric has to hug her and hold her against him.

"Leann's hair's pretty" ~says Athena as she plays with it
"It is, isin't it?" ~Eldric grabs one of Lyann's braids and starts undoing it from the tip

Dad comes home while we are still remaking Lyann's braids with the flowers in them. Of course, since Athena is helping, it's not quite right, so she'll have to undo it and redo it herself later.

The scene is that of Eldric sitting on the grass with Lyann sitting on his lap, legs wrapped around him while they look at eachother fondly, holding hands, with Athena playing with Lyann's hair.

He looks at them for a couple of moments before opening the garden's gate and going in.

"Daddy!" ~Athena pits pots as she rungs towards him.
"Hi baby" ~he picks her up and smooches her then holds her gently~ "What are you kids doing on the grass?"
"Ah, we were playing with Athena." ~says Eldric while Lyann just blushes and looks down
"Is that so? alright, let's go in and have lunch"

It would have been nice to take the centipede chariot with him, but that way he wouldnt have really "grown familiar" with the bushes and trees on the roadside.

Treestride is a really convenient ability, but it has an important flaw. You can only use it as a way to go to plants you have personally touched and acknoeledged.

Well, it is not as if he had been camping out. He had, in fact, been using treestride to go back home every night, and then back into the road in the morning.

As he covered his eyes with his left hand, he could just barely see an area where the dust was thicker, in the valley.

The times when people relied on the nomads to move goods and services had seemed endangered, but in the end, the nomads did not take nearly as great a hit as the doomsayers have promised.

Having finally reached the bottom of the mountain road, Eldric grinned to himself as he looked down at the hex line.

Yes, an actual hex line. A thick, black line in the ground, about 6 meters thick, that continued as far as he could see towards the north and south.

In one side, a mountain hex, with little vegetation and strong wind. And in the other, lush plains with a sea of tall, green grass and the occasional tree.

Well, he had long ago accepted things like this.

He stepped over the hex line and into the plains, then head straight towards the lonely tree in the distance and used it to treestride home.

You do realize the idea is to use most of your hand, then use the red ability to get a whole fresh hand and force your opponent to waste 6-5 cards at the same time, right?

I dont know how much times have changed, but Red used to excel at literally burning through cards.

The idea is that the "discard your hand to draw seven cards" bit doesnt hurts you at all since you probably have no hand.

For example, flowstone assault, a red enchantment for RRR lets you discard a land at will to deal 2 damage to a creature or player.

Cast 2 spells, play one land, discard 2 lands, get a whole new hand, rinse and repeat every single turn.

If you start running out of library, use the green ability to get cards back into the deck.

Hell, if you throw in the right 3 cards, it just rises your chances of drawing a combo you may be looking for.

And if she gets killed, you just get your whole graveyard into the deck. Your opponent's deck may have lose 28+ cards, while yours lost nothing. Its a triple threat

1) Get lots of cards
2) Kill his deck
3) Cast those lots of cards to kill his life and creatures
4) if he kills your lyann, you just get to dhuffled your graveyard back into your deck for free

But uf you still think its weak, may switch green for white and instead make it "2W, T, Discard two cards: Exile target nonland permanent"

Thats more of an obvious threat. But I like the strategic value of the RG combo

...on second thought, it seems I've completely misunderstood madness. Damn. Could have sworn it was casting from graveyard and removing from the game.

Didn't realize there were so many cheap madness costs, too. But after the 3 mana cost of the ability, there isn't a lot of mana left to spend on madness. The deck would have to have a lot of 1 and 0 madness cards. And even then, that means you stop touching the other cards in your hand.

the green 0 madness cost card was super valued even tho it was a common. On its prime, there were lots of decks that on purpose discarded their own cards somehow just to trigger 2-3 madness 0 cards on turn 1

anyway, between cards with madness, and cheap cards, a deck built for speed can abuse the fuck out of "discard your hand and draw a new hand"
