>Summary: Heracor discovers something strange is happening in the ship they are travelling in. The slaves on the lower levels are being killed by a man that apparently returned from the dead. When investigating it with Urmo a electrokinetic psychic blast generates among them and she is knocked down, back on Heracor's room he discover that under her mask there is a Eldar.

"Eldar!" You scream alarmed and immediately turn down your volume in fear of being discovered with the xeno and being interrogated about it.

Even if your medical analysis doesn't work she seems to be breathing and well. You write a fake error report saying that you wanted to try the program and used it on a rat.

You open her robes and palpate in different places with your human hand to inspect her. She seems to be fully biological and any non-organic object that you find are nothing but heretic xenotech. You find a small dagger and a red and white pistol made with a soft material and round forms. Your knowledge of Eldar weaponry is really limited and honestly the thought of shooting it to see what kind of projectile does it shoot crosses your mind on more than one occasion, instead of that you try to stick to your teachings and keep it on your possession and away from her, you do the same with the bladed weapon.

Grabbing her delicate wrist you tie her to your robe hanger and then wait patiently sitting with your lasgun aiming at her until she wakes up.

"State your business here xeno spy" You mutter when she starts to awaken.

"I have nothing to say to a coarse mon-keigh like you, Heracor"

Around you the sound of sirens and people waking up to start the new day cover the entire room. If you went to training she might not be there any more after your return but if you instead go to the authorities and tell the situation they might misjudge your words and execute you too for letting her into the Warp Drive.

>A: Leave her there and go to training
>B: Talk to the higher powers about her
>C: Free action: Write what you think he should.
>>
>>37019079
Can't leave her here alone, eldar are well known for their tricksy stuff. She'll be out of her binds before you even shut the door.

As for talking to the higher powers... Well there's no pressing need to turn her over right now since you've fully apprehended her. They'll potentially shoot her dead on the spot without even bothering to find out what she's up to.

And there is the matter with the red-eyed servitors. Which, as far as you can tell with the limited information you've accrued, was a situation in which she has assisted the well-functioning of the ship.

An evil slave-slayer that ruins perfectly good servo-eyes and sends them to tamper with the warp drive sounds like a more immediate threat than a bound xeno.

>Try to interrogate her again, failing that spend some time fully securing her in your room before going to training.
We may need to construct a makeshift cage or something.
>>
>>37019079
C. Call me a monkey all you wish, but unless you can give me a compelling reason not to turn you in to my superiors, I'll do just that. Then loudly wonder if They'll let the admech make a servitor out her once their done, you know there has to be a market among the nobles for such things.

>C: Try to interrogate her again, failing that spend some time fully securing her in your room before going to training.

The slave wakes up with the noise and scared looks at you two. Your first thought is killing him at the instant, he has seen too much and nobody is going to miss him... But you are not a monster, you end unscrewing the vent panel again and letting him run free.

"The entity known as the Red Hook is after him, a quick death would have been more pitiful...but what kind of pity could a limited mind like yours generate?" She teases, making weird movements with her fingers.

You hit her with the butt of her own weapon and use two of your dendrites to painfully hold her tighter.

"My mind has been improved by the knowledge and bionics of the Machine God. The Omnissiah tells me to study everything at my reach and right now you are the perfect subject to do so, Eldar. Unless you satiate my curiosity with answers..."

Your drill ended dendrite starts to spin quickly as it approaches to her face. Her intense glare digs deep inside you, she makes you feel weak and naked but you don't flinch. It the sound of Oihan's strong fist slamming the door the one that stops you in the last second.

"Training today is going to be a fucking hell for you. Nobody dares to wake me up for a good reason!" She yells from the other side. " Move your ass over there or I'll headbutt you again until you cannot be reconstructed anymore! "

With a grunt you seal her inside one of your lockers and barricade it as best as you can, even moving the bed to block her. Then you weld the vent and lock the door after exiting. Your room looks like a disaster but it is a disaster that makes sense only to you.

Oihan is outside looking pretty angry and with bags under her eyes, seems like she couldn't sleep well after you woke her up.

"You will do the double of everything I ask my men to do. Take all the time that you need but keep my pace."
(1/2)
>>
With a small trotting you two join the other soldiers and go for the breakfast. In that moment you just open your ingestion port and introduce the vitamin and protein pills but in this moment you cannot do anything but think about her. On your possession there are still her weapons...Maybe if you have time you could sneak into some empty training ground and use them, discover how they work...would that be heresy?

The training goes smooth. Your new body lets you do what she orders with pretty ease but the number of repetitions she asks for strains even your stronger bionics.

Hours later you are done and she seems kinda pleased with your advances. You have a few hours of free time before going to rest.

>A: Return to your room and interrogate her again. If she's gone search for her.
>B: Don't care about her. Find a secure place and try her weapons, until its time to go to bed. This might be a lifetime chance.
>C: Return to the slums and gather more information about the Red Hook.

>A: Return to your room and interrogate her again. If she's gone search for her.
First affirm if she's still there or not. If we intended to tell the higher ups immediately we would not have gone to the trouble of sealing her in our room.

We should also avoid showing anyone these eldar weapons before we get a chance to use them. Just THINK of the possibilities!
>>
Option A wins. Working on it now.

I'm also doing a drawing of Heracor to show my headcanon of him.
>>
>>37019515
Cool, a drawing would be awesome.
>>
>>37019406
>A: Return to your room and interrogate her again. If she's gone search for her.

You return in a complete rush, your skin and robes covered in sweat when you make it to your room. When you enter the key you are relieved to see that it is still locked and seems like it hasn't been forced.

Once inside you are surprised by what you encounter. The Eldar did in fact escape but she just choose to not exit your room.

She just awaited sitting on the ground with her legs crossed and surrounded by your rubble and screw collection.

"My predictions did not mention you, but it is clear to me that you might be a help against the impediment of my visions"

"Will you give me the answers I seek then?"

"Indeed, just make the correct questions."

> Post questions and in the next post I will write the answers she gives.

"What are you truly seeking in the Warp Core? Why have the servitors turned violent? What do you and your ilk gain from investigating this?"
>>
>>37019572
What is the butcher? How do we kill it? Why do you care a bout a human ship? How long have you been posing as an tech priest.
>>
>"What are you truly seeking in the Warp Core?"
"This ship needed to reach its destination safely. We both impeded the destruction of it"

>"Why have the servitors turned violent?"
"A deadly mixture of daemonic taint and gamma radiation"

>"What do you and your ilk gain from investigating this?"
"We will save countless lives. Both Eldar and Human"

>"What is the butcher?"
"It is a warp tainted entity revived by still unknown means. It has to be destroyed before the ship reach its destination."

>"How do we kill it? "
Even if it is warped it is still bound to the material realm. Conventional weaponry should be able to put it down.

>"Why do you care about a human ship?"
It is not the ship what I care about, but the destiny strands it is ligated to.

>"How long have you been posing as an tech priest."
For longer that I have wanted. Your mechanical lifestyle is horrific to me.
>>
>>37019709
What caused the explosion that knocked you out? Why does it need to be destroyed before we reach our destination? Is there a way to negate the taint so we don't have to destroy more servitors?(pretty sure we can do the gamma ourselves) Where are you from? You know where we are going too and what we will run into once we get out of the warp, tell me. Could the beast go after the Gellar field?
>>
>>37019709
>"We will save countless lives. Both Eldar and Human"
HA- Eldar don't give a rat's ass about humanity, they'd easily sacrifice billions of human lives to save a few dozen Eldar. This mission of her's is for the benefit purely of the Eldar with only the marginal probability that humanity won't be fucked over. Be cautious, Eldar constantly manipulate humanity to do their dirty work then foot them with the bill.

"No matter how many questions you make Techpriest. Your limited knowledge will not let you know the truly meaning of my participation in this ship. I offer you a exchange, I will tell you the truth and you will tell me yours. I still don't know how my psychic powers backfired when aimed at you."

"First things first. What is a Eldar spy doing in a Imperial Cruiser"

"I am Elyadien Nevara. Seer of the Craftworld Ulthwé. Our people are eternal enemies of the ruinous powers, we know everything about daemons but even with all the knowledge we still find ourselves unable to destroy all our foes."

She stood up and started removing her coat and disguise.

"The planet we are heading to was the location we choose to seal a greater daemon of Khorne. The entire planet is deadly and inhospitable. We never thought somebody with the exception of orks would willingly land there. For our unpleasant surprise we discovered too late that there is a massive Imperial prison on the surface. The prison has riots daily, undoubtedly influenced by the presence of the daemon"

Under her red clothing a black and white armour appeared, the same colour and style as her weapon.

"If this regiment doesn't stops the riots they will let loose and unseal the daemon. If orks discovered it they would have just fought it until it returned to the warp. If humans do it...it could posses one of those weak minded prisoners and reach the stars once more. We have to avoid that at all cost"

He didn't believed anything she said...daemons? That's impossible.

"And why didn't your leaders advise the Inquisition or even the Marines?"

"While the inquisition has some more delicacy when it comes to daemons it would just try to gather the power of the sealed creature for itself and then just destroy the planet when its plans fail. That would send it back again to the warp. Something similar would happen with your Marines. Hekatonkhiros doesn't has to be sent back, but sealed for it is the best option"

Here's the drawing, I fucked up the neck skin colour tho...

The guy is pretty much a skull after so many face reconstructions, his lower jaw is metallic and has a speaker for mouth. Neck is still pretty human, he also keeps some hair around his head.

>>37020134
Well the protagonist so far has only killed a weak blinded servitor... I don't think Khorne has the slightest interest in him so far.

In my opinion both work to get Khorne points. Its just that the rage path will lead you to more mutations.

"You have been masquerading as a Techpriest for some time. Tell me, then... which one is superior, phillips head screwdrivers or flat headed ones?. This is a very important question, xeno witch. It's answer will be the deciding factor in wether I believe you or not"

The correct Techpriestly answer is both, for they both serve the Omnissiah in their own way. If she answers anything else then she is an incompetent infiltrator and this whole story is just a lie so she can save her own skin.

After she was done Elyadien sat on your bed and started asking you questions.

"Do you have any idea of why my powers didn't work with you. It is like if you were a null, yet even a mechanical aversion like you doesn't transmits me the disgust that those pariah do."

"I...well I still for unknown reasons and ordered by a unknown person operated to have a brain chip installed in my brain. It suppressed all my feelings and emotion to the lowest level. I could still think by myself but creativity or original thoughts were something beyond me. For some strange reason not long ago the chip broke, I regained my personality. That might be the reason? Because I was soulless to some degree?" You answered, remembering how weeks before you worked as a little more than a servitor for the other Magos.

"Interesting..." She said with her cold and apathetic voice.

"What can we do to stop the Red Hook?"

"Well...It has started with slaves and servitors but he will advance and start with stronger and more thought foes. I am still unsure if the attack towards the Warp Core was intentional or not thought."

"The slave...he could help us. We know that if a person makes eye contact it will be hunted by the entity some days later and he saw it. Besides he will know the slums better than we do."

"You left them without a water supply If I am not wrong. Water was one of the few pleasures they had access to. It was polluted dirty water but it was a treasure for them. I doubt that they will agree to help us."

>B: Try to find a way to bring them water, even if it means stealing it from somewhere else.
This is a big ship, rerouting the pipes is child's paly to a tech priest. Besides we can always say the machine spirits demand it, not like anyone besides and our fellow admech actually know or care enough about machines to call our bluff. Also point out it was as much her fault as it was ours. if she were blameless she wouldn't have gotten blow up by her powers.
>>
>>37020347
Good reasoning! And about her being responsible too...She's a Eldar, don't expect her to blame herself.
>>
>>37020358
I just said point it out, not expecting her to change. She's an arrogant knife eared xeno after all. Just we aren't going to put up with her shit.
>>
Sorry, been away for lunch. I wanted to add that before we leave the room we devise a collar with which we can both track her and kill her were she to attempt to remove it or flee.

She is probably not stupid enough to risk betraying us and having the ship on a witch hunt but it pays to be sensible.
>>
>>37020400
Also ask her the extent of her knowledge of imperial technology. She posed as a techpriest for long enough that it is not unthinkable she has more than a basic grasp of it.

We must know the extent to which the xeno understands the holy machinations of the Omnissiah.
>>
>>37020400
He would need to take her to some forgery to create that collar, there is little he can build in his room. Besides it's not like she would discover a way of removing or nullifying it.
>>
>>37020425
Well if it was a simple tracking device she would surely find a way to cut it. If it were rigged to explode in the process she will be far less keen on doing so.

As for being unable to do so in his room: the eldar waited for us in our room once. We tell her we need to pop out for something and ask her to stay, not telling her what. We hit the forge, create the device and return.
>>
>>37020422
When posing as Urmo she said she was going to gather the planets natural geothermal energy to power up the generatoriums. She understands to some degree how Imperial power plants work, maybe she would try to leave the planet energyless if all went down so at least the demon and the corrupted humans would be bound to the planet for some time.

>>37020442
She waited in his room because she wanted to. Elyadien is a stealthy alien who can foresee the future. She would probably sneak and discover is intentions. Besides even if he managed to create the collar its not like she would accept to wear it.
>>
>>37020479
True, but Heracor isn't particularly used to dealing with people who can see the future. He might not even know what being an eldar seer really entails. I don't think it's unreasonable for him to take this precaution, whether it works or not.

And as for whether she'd accept it. The eldar are a proud and haughty race and she almost certainly wouldn't. This would mean we'd have to temporarily overpower her again like we did before and clip it on or persuade her that it is a critical condition of our aid.

On her part we can assume that being able to see the future she either accepts this as being irrelevant to the future she desires (her refusal instead turning everyone against her at a critical time) or that she doesn't accept and ambushes him upon his return, doing her utmost to neutralise the device and point out that she can easily kill him whenever she feels like it too.

Just my thoughts on the matter. If you'd really just rather avoid this then just say and I'll accept it at that.
>>
>>37020545
I'll avoid it for now. I have already started writting and changing it all would be pretty time consuming. Sorry.
>>
>>37020545
We only overpowered her because she blew herself up trying to psyker us. It knocked her elven ass out. (-2con hah) we didn't blow up so we took her back to heal her and accidentally an eldar. Heracor isn't stupid, he knows she'd kick his ass in a real fight if it came to it.
>>
>>37020569
No problem, it's easy to believe Heracor is too distracted by everything else he's just found out to think about that.

>>37020570
Apologies, I confused the scene where we threatened her with having physically held her down or something. Still, she's weaponless now and her psychic powers aren't as effective as they should be. I'd say that we stood a decent chance when fully equipped versus her unarmed self.
>>
>>37020605
She's a metric fuck ton faster, I'm pretty sure she could kill us with a spoon if it came down to it.

>B: Try to find a way to bring them water, even if it means stealing it from somewhere else.

"The water tower was destroyed by your psychic powers, you are as faulty as I am for the drought that came after."

You upload yourself to the ship's network and look at the water distribution. There are some deposits used to clean the vehicles inside but as far as you know they are clean so far. You are sure the pilot Saandar will not care a lot either.

With some calculations you not only give them water but clean and purified water. Then you disconnect.

"It is done. The slaves will have enough water to survive now."

She soon wore her techpriest disguise and the couple descended to the lower levels. The people there opened most water faucets and bathed on it, they seemed really happy.

"People of the underlevels. I am responsible of leaving you waterless for a entire day. As a repayment this is my gift to the hard workers of the ship. Clean and pure water."

(1/2)
>>
>>37020626
Even Elyadien seemed surprised with your speech. The kids played in the water and the adults and elders came to us to show their appreciation.

"Go and find the slave that got into my room, I'll question those people meanwhile." You say to her, she disappeared without saying a word.

The slaves didn't believed you when asked about the Red Hook, they thought you were just a curious techpriest that came down because of some lame legend. Some of them even laughed at you showing their rotted teeth.

After a hour you managed to gather a small group of witnesses that saw supposedly daemonic entity. A few minutes later Elyadien, disguised as Urmo returned with the slave, completing the group.

"We have only six days before we reach our destination" She said "Time is not on our side in this occasion"

>A: Use them as bait during the six days to study and try to think of a advantage to kill the Red Hook.

>C: Gather the Commissar Oihan and the Captain and discuss this the four together. The Red Hook is way too strong to be defeated by only two persons.
More eyes mean more guns, more guns mean we can kill it easier. Hit Oihan first though she trust us more and if she's on our side we can get the arrogant shit of a captain to listen easier.
>>
>>37020634
So if we do try to take the red hook with just us an Elyadien are we giving her back her weapons?

We should also request six days leave from Oihan such that you may address a matter than needs attention. If she refuses then we say that the matter thus becomes necessary for her to address and fill her in.
>>
>>37020659
Also, if we opt for C we would probably do well to gloss over our discovery of the eldar. A cover story about how you and Urmo have found increasing evidence of demonic taint should suffice. If necessary we can 'cite' the servitors with bleeding eyes as being a recognised symptom of heresy afoot according to the records we can access as a techpriest.

It's unlikely that she'd doubt our expertise in that regard after we did such a number on her powerfist.
>>
>>37020659
>So if we do try to take the red hook with just us an Elyadien are we giving her back her weapons?
Yep. We have her guns as a precaution but if we want her to fight on our side she needs her pew pew

>We should also request six days leave from Oihan such that you may address a matter than needs attention
She's gonna make us pay the six days so bad but she respects the techpriest for not being such a nuthead like the rest are. She will surely let him work on this for the six days.

>>37020686
If we do that she then will have to stay away from the fight, fight with human weapons or do it in the shadows.
>>
>>37020719
>If we do that she then will have to stay away from the fight, fight with human weapons or do it in the shadows.
Indeed, so at this point we have to weigh up her capabilities against the might of the imperial guard's finest and the ship being on full alert and lockdown.

The skitarii would probably also be mobilised, though they may deploy to defend key technology rather than as part of an assault force.

I'd be inclined to say that having the fist of man by our sides would be a lot more reliable than the eldar witch's powers, but perhaps we should ask Elyadien her opinion on the matter.

She'd presumably agree with us that we'd stand a greater chance at succeeding with our superiors in the know unless we really didn't for whatever mysterious eldar reason.
>>
>>37020719
>>37020750
I agree with this anon, ship on alert would be more helpful, Besides if she's outted as an elder Oihan will have to kill her eventually, and we' might need her help on the planet. But ask the witch first, if she has a death wish no skin off our non existent nose.

C: Gather the Commissar Oihan and the Captain and discuss this the four together. The Red Hook is way too strong to be defeated by only two persons.

Not even if you built lasguns for all those witnesses they would stand a chance. They seemed as frail as glass and their bones were visible in almost every inch of their bodies.

"We need more people mobilised, otherwise our chances are equal to none."

"They will never believe the slaves nor you, even less if we show them my true nature."

You still had the pictures of the crazed servitors and the conversation with Oihan on your internal memory, maybe that would be enough to convince her at least.

"Go and talk with the Skitarii. Tell them I will fight as they wanted but that they will need to fight for me If I win." I ordered her in a serious tone "I will go and talk with the Commissar meanwhile."

"Do not expect me to work alongside you at all times, when the time comes and we fight the enemy I will work independently as I did so far."

Saying that they ascended with the slaves and kept them safe and locked on Heracor's room with plenty of food and water. After that they departed ways, she went towards the Mechanicus church, you went towards Oihan room hoping that she wasn't asleep right now.

After knocking the door she opens wearing some a plain tank top, the connections of her arms with her shoulders clearly visible to you.

"Speak quick soldier I was about to take a shower."

"This is hard to explain Commissar Oihan. I think we have a infiltrate among the ship. "

"Infiltrate uh? Are you sure you don't mean yourself?" She teased patting your hooded head.

"I am talking about a daemonic entity..."

"What do you know about daemons?" She grabbed you by the neck and pushed you in, before you could noticed you had her bolt pistol against your forehead.

"Not a lot I swear!! Its just what the slaves told me, that a demon is killing them!" You lied.

Sorry for taking so long but after I lost all that I was writing I got pretty frustrated and blocked.
>>
>>37021147
When I was doing repairs in the warp core earlier, some servitors attacked, eye clawed out. Such thing happened so I brushed it off. Then I ran into a slave who told me he was running from a thing called "the butcher" a monster who fed on slaves and clawed out the eyes from servitors. This struck a chord so I investigated, it was during the night my call woke you. I did not think it a monster but some heretic or misguided soul defiling servitors to spite the omnisaiah. As I was investigating, there were ever increasing signs of something being wrong in the depths of the ship. It's machine spirits were ill at ease. Then something caused an explosion in the ship destroying a slave's water supply. I know enough about ordinance to know there was no bomb or weapon that would fit in the space, that would cause such damage without leaving a trace. So I went back to the slaves and what they described was text book deamonic. The first place I encountered the servitors was the warp core, the beast may have used it to get here. This ship is in danger commissar, I would not come to you unless I was as sure as I could possibly be without access to rightfully forbidden lore.
>>
>>37021147
>"Commisar know that I would not trouble you unless I thought it absolutely necessary. If I may have a moment I shall show you the footage I recorded of some crazed servitors in the warp core that possessed bleeding eyes.

Slaves from the lower quarters speak also of servitors in such a state - in combination with a legendary threat to them by the name of the red hook.

There are sufficient witnesses to this being that I believe it is not the ramblings of slaves but an actual threat - a threat posed to more than their lives and to the integrity of this ship as a whole.

The crazed servitors were attemptingto tamper with the warp core and if that failed it would be demons that stand to gain. There is also further evidence of demonic influence, such as a water supply that exploded recently despite no bomb or weapon being present to do so.

I and another tech priest who had assisted me during my encounter with the crazed servitors at the warp core are readying an attack on this demon and I thought it prudent to at least notify you of the situation. I hope also that you will see fit to oversee this operation and provide soldiers to assist us in defeating this menace."

Sorry for taking long to answer my wifi died.

Don't worry I plan to continue, in fact I have a couple of ideas for future quests.

One would be about a crashed tau vehicle and how the two survivors (a tau fire caste warrior and a air caste pilot) mate when they believe they are doomed, to their surprise they end rescued and years later the son tries to fit in the fire caste (keeping his mixed heritage secret) even if he's weaker than the rest.

Since I'm spanish and I obviously know the language I also might do a MexiFallout Quest based on the Fallout saga and located in Mexico. Lots of inside jokes and insults in spanish planed for this.

>Could you two also please tell me what do you like and dislike of the quest so far? I want to improve my writing skills as much as I can.
>>
>>37021589
I FUCKING LOVE FALLOUT!
>>
>>37021147
You explained her all that happened to you, the fight in the core, the slave... Obviously you kept out details about Urmo's true nature. Your words exaggerated some things like how the water supply exploded and details about the servitors you two fought. At the end she seems to believe you.

"Even in my position there is little I can do unless there is actual proof that might convince the Captain. He is the one who has all access to the ships functions."

"I have meet him. It was not...pleasant."

"Well at least he doesn't try to hit on you, I had to tranquillize myself many times, that guy gives me urges to put a incendiary bolt directly on his groin. "

After that chitchat you remembered your Micerian guardsmen friends, they might die on the fight against the daemon. They were scared of dying after reaching their destination but maybe their predictions were way too optimistic.

"I do not have any experience with daemons, could you tell me how is it to fight against one of them?" You ask her.

"My experience is limited too, all what I know comes from hearsaying other Commissars"

She relaxed and lit a big black cigar, the smoke sent alarm messages all across your HUD, that thing was really poisonous. Here is the answer for the person who wondered if he could smell, he cannot but he knows when something toxic or foul is around

"Try to forget anything you know about the universe and its fucking laws. They are so utterly otherworldly that those laws don't fully apply to them...They might be formed by incorporeal things like fire or liquids. They aren't really material so poisons have no effect to them"

"What about bullets and bolts, they can kill a daemon right?"

"I should execute you for that question Heracor, but if I did you wouldn't hear my answer. There is nothing a Imperial bolt cannot kill, nothing. "

You waited while she started getting dressed and ready to meet the Captain.
(1/2)
>>
>>37021853
"I promise that if the Captain makes me sleep with him to lend his resources I will execute him the moment he removes his pants" She said from the other side of the barrack.

Moments later you two ascended towards his office. As you did many messages of duel requests from the Skitarii appeared, Urmo did her job.

Accompanied with her I had no problem to enter, no xenos witchery was needed.

The captain was once again in his seat, it seemed like no matter what was told to him he would never move from his position, a big belly was starting to form in his body.

"Captain Keroshchev I have come to inform you of daemonic incursion on your ship. The Wrathful Envoy."

He stood up, he was shorter than us by at least half a feet.

"This is outrageous! This ship has been free of taint since it was built over three millennia ago! Its Geller Field has never flickered not even for a microsecond!"

"The slaves are being killed by a warped entity m'lord" You added "Besides I already warned you about the incursion of crazed servitors in the Warp Drive"

"This is my ship! I won't let anyone take it!"

Oihan readied her massive fists and broke in a million pieces the finely crafted table that was in front of him.

"If you don't help us now I will denounce you as a Heretic for trying to stop the elimination of a daemon. The Inquisition will have tons of fun with someone like you~"

To my surprise her last words carried pleasure with them, she seemed to enjoy the idea of that fat man being tortured by the Inquisition. He had to been a really big jackass to make someone as serene as her reach that state.

The next thing the captain Keroshchev did was grab a microphone and tell everybody that the Commissar Oihan had the control and that her men had full access to every room in the ship.

"Good" She said. "But I think you would do a better job" He says to me.

Connected on the network and with full access I desperately try to find the Red Hook in the myriad of cameras that watch over us.

When I finally saw him I gagged, he was in a faraway corner stripping the flesh of a poor naked teenage girl. I grabbed the location data and disconnected.

"I don't think I can do this...I want to fight next to you. I am your escort after all Miss"

A: Find a techpriest skilled enough to control all the situation and coordinate all the efforts against the Red Hook.

You mentally make a small summary of the other techpriests that you meet before:

>Aretodee-2:
Way too random and unpredictable, he might suffer one of his attacks and leave us helpless. REJECTED

>O'Jackis Estxx:
She's specialized on ventilation systems, she might be able to be good at controlling people advancing but she's way too nice. REJECTED

>Urmo Emtulium:
She's a Eldar... REJECTED

>Todd:
I like Todd, everybody likes Todd but I don't know much about him. It's way too risky REJECTED

>Haxmas Terniobium:
He worked as a cogitator net administrator. He might be the one best suited for this job. ACCEPTED

Next thing you do is send a message to him granting him permission to enter. He's excited to do so since most server rooms are located up there.

Once above she is greeted by the cold metallic surface of Oihan's boltgun, she makes him swear and promise that anything he sees and hears there will be kept secret. When he agrees he is told all the situation and shown the vid-record of the Red Hook torturing the teenage girl. Surprisingly he accepts it better than us.

You check the messages of the Skitarii, there are over a dozen but fighting a couple of them might be enough to convince them of joining. Here are some you think you might win:

>A: Skitarii Johane: Melee enthusiast. Says she will only wield shock batons on the fight.
>B: Skitarii Deagront: Uses a mix of special dark lenses and flash bangs to blind the opponent and then knock it down.
>C: Skitarii Mikka: Trap specialist, says that he will consider you winner if you stay conscious after five minutes.
>>
>>37022491
>C
time is of the essence and who knows how long the other fights will take
>>
>>37022567
This is good reasoning, though I'd have liked to try for A to see how we fare now. If it's only shock batons we might be able to pin her with our boosted mechadendrites and lay the pain.
>>

>>

C: Skitarii Mikka: Trap specialist, says that he will consider you winner if you stay conscious after five minutes.

Time hurries and the sooner you win the better. You visit your room and equip yourself with your armor and weapons before heading out. Shortly before entering the cathedral Urmo assaults you.

"Hand me my weapons back" She demands.

Well, It's not like you could use those weapons with your opponents anyway. Carefully avoiding curious looks you handle Elyadien her pistol and dagger back. As soon as she has them back she turns around and disappears once more.

Now in the basement of the temple the Skitarii surround you.

"I as a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus come to this sacred ground to answer Skitarii Mikka's duel"

A thin man with a completely covered cybernetic skull like head descended from the ceiling using a grapple that extended from the interior of his forearm.

He didn't talked, just nodded and everybody moved away. They activated some pullers and the floor descended to a bigger and apparently secret chamber. Soon they were all seated around us, looking from above.

Mikka just grappled himself into the roof once again, disappearing in the darkness.

>B: Examine your surroundings, think of the best places to fight and where to take cover

The duelling grounds aren't completely flat. There are boxes here and there and even dead cogitators piling against a wall, some pipes are connected to the floor and the wall but they don't see very stable and who knows what kind of thing do they transport ( if they still do ).

You roll behind a bullet holed metallic box and charge the first power cell into your weapon saying the reloading chants as fast as you can. Then place the power setting to normal and the weapon to semi-automatic. You also activate your arm blade a few times to check that the gas ejection works as intended. You are now combat ready.

A few seconds of silence after that you hear a few metallic tingling sound followed by a more heavier thud noise. You peek out of your box and hurriedly go back inside. Mikka has threw from the ceiling four Electromagnetic Pulse grenades. They explode without making almost any sound but the moment they go off a high pitch enters inside your brain and almost knocks you out.

"4 minutes and 30 seconds left" Says he with a message that appears in your HUD.

>A: Try to adjust your lenses and computer brain to follow her movement in the darkness
>B: Adjust your computer brain and link them to your dendrites. The next time he launches his grenades you are going to send them back.

>C: Adjust your computer brain and link them to your eyes and trigger finger. As soon as you see a grenade, shoot it and detonate it as close to him as possible.

The cable that links your robotic arm with your brain fuzzes with excitation as it is overcharged with data and raw power from your powerful RAM.

You roll once more moving behind the now forever silent computers. The moment you heard a sound your turn around and climb on top stomping the cogitators as you get higher, then adjust your eyes and aim towards the grenades he is about to throw. To your surprise what flies towards you is nothing but a chained dagger.

The dagger magnetically sticks in the metallic wall behind you and Mikka comes before short after trying to demolish you out of the mainframes. You manage to shoot him twice in the chest before dogding him but apparently he feel little to no pain.

A second later he grunts and returns to the dark ceilings.

"Coward" You mutter.

"3 minutes left" He answers with another annoying message

>C: Adjust your sensors to motion and half you lenses to darkness. Try to get a bead on him. Watch for trap, use your dendrites like 10 ft poles and get ready for CQC.

Two of your lenses get adjusted for darkness, the other two for movement sensitivity. You are going to shoot him down. If he gets close your dendrites will be ready.

A small vibration hits your back, the next thing you feel is a magnet ended chain grabbing your bionic arm and dragging you to the ceiling, you manage to shoot even with the arm magnetised and feeling like it weights a ton. The laser shoots don't hit anybody as you soon discover that he didn't grabbed you directly but that he used some pipes as pulleys.

Your dendrites grab your lasgun and move it towards your free dummy hand. You somehow manage to shoot not him but the pulleys, they explode and send burning promethium drops everywhere. You two fall down violently while the rest of the Skitarii run away or roll as their robes caught fire.

Mikka breathes heavily as the rain of the holy fuel continues to fall onto you two. He removes the magnet from your arm and now that it is free you unsheathe your hidden sword. His grappling arm changes too and his fist becomes a mass of spiky teeth resembling a bear trap.

You see his head buzzing, he's surely sending a message. Before he can write it you send him your own message..."1 minute"

Your adversary seems puzzled and before he can react your powerful legs are already dashing in his direction. Your eyes get ready to shine powerfully while your brain creates the pattern so they will flash "One minute" in Morse code the moment you impact him.

The air currents forming around your blade make it vibrate sonorously. Oddly even if you are surrounded by exploding computers and screaming Skitarius you can hear that vibration perfectly along with your breathing, your steps and your heartbeat.

Your brain is so focused on defeating Mikka that it looks like everything else is secondary and doesn't matters.

The moment your bodies are about to clash you send your luminous message and blind him completely. He sends a clumsy punch with his bear trap fist clawing fiercely the air, you roll and kick him down using your piston powered feet. Before he falls your crane arm grabs his powerful and raises him leaving the Skitarii hanging like a doll. You then easily are able to shoot in his bionic joints leaving him both arm and legless.

Now lying on the ground and unable to move you send him another message. "Zero Minutes"

The fire around you has become more fierce and seems like there aren't any more spectators, you grab him and ascend. When you exit the not wounded Skitarius look how you exit the fire with him on your arms.

Your lungs have breathed toxic smoke and some of your skin itch from the dehydration but you aren't wounded.

Shortly after the navy workers enter and extinguish the fire with the help of both guardsmen and Skitarii volunteers.
>>
>>37024687
When the fire is extinguished you request to meet them.

You explain the situation, that there is a heretical enemy in the lower part of the ship that even dared to enter the chamber of the Warp Core. That the Red Hook it tainted and has to be destroyed for the good of the ship and all what the Omnissiah represents.

After the fight you gave them and being bored from doing the same training over and over the big majority of it agrees of aiding you. They won't deploy their most sacred and powerful weapons thought since they worry of damaging the hull of the ship itself.

Now you are going to rest. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.

After entering your room and locking the door Elyadien makes her appearance emerging from a corner.

"I have observed the daemon. It isn't as big as the slaves said but it is still a powerful entity. It seems to become stronger the more it kills. Time hurries."

"The troops are already on alert and ready, we will attack tomorrow"

"I have been told that trusting a human often leads to deception and failure yet this time I cannot do otherwise. I hope you know what do you do Heracor but waiting until tomorrow might be way too much"
>>
>>37022795
Considering that the entire existence of the character is based on that faulty chip, It's a pretty big thing, not to mention if it gives him ability to resist the warp, then you've just handed dangerous information to an enemy of the imperium.

If a magos were to know of our faulty chip, then he'd be called for inspection, because mechanicum is pretty fucking careful with their secrets and they don't want the binary chant or other technological secrets to leave their hands.

In all honesty, I'm surprised if she is not going to try and kill us for that chip, because the mere possibility of humanity acquiring psychic protection implants is enough of a threat for the plans of eldar that he can't be allowed to live.
>>
>>37024909
He said its a possibility, they don't really know if that was the reason. Maybe it was the Red Hook's khornate presence the one who nullified the psykers witchcraft or maybe since she had to stay hidden for so long her powers just failed when she tried to cast something a little more powerful than a hypnosis spell.

Besides it was the first time he could explain his background and how he felt. Heracor to say it to relieve himself.
>>
>>37024909
nicely said but you're over thinking it.
>>
>>37024952
Well, maybe so, but now we've got a very untrustworthy loose end, so we either need to kill or get her family's soulstones, because she has information that, if anonymously passed to mechanicum could take away our free will without any damage to her.

If we don't do anything, we're at constant risk of having our chip replaced or dissected.
>>
>>37024977
I may be over thinking it, but it still was a bad move.
There is nothing that would indicate that she would keep our secret safe and there's too much to lose for it to be known by just anyone.

Get in Heracor's place. He was just another techpriest before joining the IG. He just discovered daemons exists. He doesn't knows jack shit about Eldar and that includes soulstones. He's Ignorant.
>>
>>37025064
I was not implying he would know about soulstones.
But telling an abhuman\mutant\xeno? psyker your secrets without any gain or assurance of silence is a bad move.

Only way to ensure an eldar does your bidding is to get a hold of their soulstones.
>>
>>37025129
He didn't just spit it for no reason. The eldar gave many answers and pretty much explained what was going on, he then answered the only question that she had.
>>
>>37025129
okay it was a bad move! now let the QM get on with the story.
>>
>>37025129
He still doesn't fully comprehend how much an Eldar can screw with him. He gave his best answer which he has always done in the past it's dumb but very IC. That being said as soon as she is useless to us we'll out her.

The next morning everybody is mobilized, the ship is way more noisy than usual. Thousands of bots trot here and there. You manage to see the guardsmen trio that you befriended but they advance without even realizing of your presence.

The two other Skitarii that sent a duel request came to fight alongside you. If they couldn't clash with you they would battle next to you was the reason they gave.

Skitarii Johane is armed with four dendrites that end in circular saws and wears a chainsaw and a laspistol. She's pretty well armoured and skilled with her weapons.

Skitarii Deagront has a pitch black helmet and fights and besides fighting with his flash bang grenades uses a flamer.

"A escort who has a escort, this is getting ridiculous...But I guess that since I am your superior I can still shout orders to those two as well" Said Oihan once you introduced them to her.

You noticed that the Commissar whore heavy armour under her coat and that her power fist was once again installed on her bionic arm.

"What's the plan...boss?" You shyly say still unused to refer to her with that terminology.

"Haxmax has located the creature but it seems to be too powerful to be trapped under locked doors, his hooks apparently use warp trickery to get red hot and he just sinks them into the joints of the doors to rip them off shortly after. Since we have been monitoring him he has killed over two hundred slaves. They are fully aware of him now that he's on a killing spree. What do you think we should do?"

> Free action

I'm sorry for giving so many free actions lately but I feel pretty imagination blocked right now. Plus your answers are pretty awesome.

Sorry for the typos and such. I will rest for some minutes.

>You noticed that the Commissar whore
Huehue, that's no way to talk about your GF!

>>37025246
>Evacuate the slaves (if he get stronger from kills then lessen his targets, but claim its to protect valuble assets a.k.a. the slaves)
>>
>>37025271
I already said I'm sorry, I have been already writing for nine hours and plus english is a language I don't fully master >o<
>>
>>37025316
No no it's fine. I just found it really funny!
>>
>>37025246
Lock down all the doors but one corridor leave some slave to run from him in said corridor as bait. When he gets to where we need him too open the doors and hammer him like a cheap nail, in the name of the Emperor and the Omnisiah.

I am aware of this, but if any no name character knew this, we'd kill him to cover our tracks, because anyone who knows this is a threat to our continued existence.

I say she should die once our business is concluded unless she can be bent to our will and the only way of making sure she won't betray us now is setting up a meltacharge on her spirit stone so if we get caught, she's getting a one way ticket to the prince of excess.

Unfortunately, no eldar lore skill, so she's gotta go the way of the dodo.
>>
>>37025246
I think we need to kill it as fast as possible.
More dead, More power for it.
We also shouldn't be foolish fighting it head on.
Surely our navigator will help with that.
>>
I am sorry but I might end this thread for today. My eyes itch and I feel even kinda dizzy.
>>
>>37025392
Not trying to be asshole here pointing this stuff out, just constructive criticism.

A fact so easily passed can quickly lead to a very hamfisted railroad.
Railroading is not bad, but it needs to be subtle.

No problem Qm if you need rest get it this is a good stopping point anyways

I guess you can send critics, suggestions and questions now that It is over. I'll try to answer as much as I can before I head to bed.

Thanks for running Heracor, is the butcher a fleshed out demon or a homebrew?
>>
>>37025559
Please don't make any massive repercussions that totally would happen from a thing we never would have told if ever given the choice,
>>
>>37025602
Homebrew, but he isn't really original. Butcher stuff and hooks have always had a Khorne flavour
>>
>>37025626
Could you please rephrase that?
>>
>>37025628
Yeah they are was just curious.

I swear Heracor is going to become Hero of the Imperium if he continues like this
>>
>>37027126
Not the hero it deserves, but the hero it needs.
