>>36915272Considering that, if I recall correctly, fettle-leggers don't even appear until the Third Age of Flight, they are, perhaps, a bit too common.Maybe shave it down to 98-98 and add the extra points to banderbears.
>>36915356Can't complain here.
>>36915382Shaving points off Fettle-Leggers is fine by me.I'm just hesitant to bump Banderbears above any of the "Humanoid" sentient races as they are still essentially just intelligent forest animals.Hm. How about>00-24 Slaughterer - 25>25-44 Mobgnome - 20>45-59 Shryke - 15>60-72 Oakelf -13>73-82 Barkelf -10>83-92 Banderbear -10>93-97 Spindlebug - 5>98-98 Fettle-Legger -1>99-99 Bushnymph -1
>>36915457That still puts them at 2.5% of the total Edge Population. Which is fairly high.
>>36915480You know best, I'm sure, but I'm more or less happy with those numbers.
>>36915382Just because we didn't see them until then doesn't mean they weren't around... Though i might be wrong, given the apparent rapid evolution of the Edge. As much as I dislike it, though, yeah, banderbears are canonically much more common.
I'll do another one of these once I'm done.Note this is outdated.

Anyone up to roll up a test character using the boards dice?
>>36916262Roll 1d100 for Race firstthen 1d100 for expanded race table (Unless fourthling)Then 1d100 for Background. Then we age it up and roll for two professions
Rolled 83, 1 = 84 (2d100)>>36916031Okay, race roll.
>>36916286Fourthling Sanctaphrax servant.
>>36916301Wood Troll. Start with a dice level in FloraDiplomacyConstructionPerception
Rolled 94, 24 = 118 (2d100)>>36916262Rolling race.
>>36916334Oh Boy. Termagant Trog.ConstructionCombatSubterfugeAnimal Husbandry
>>36916315First dice was 83, Second dice was 1. Race is rolled first. So the 83 = Troll , the 1 is on the sub race means Wood Troll.Though If you read the dice the other way around you do get a fourthling servant.
Rolled 1, 95, 60 = 156 (3d100)>>36916334Blooded Termagant Trog. Rolling for background and two professions, to save space.
>>36916359So close to getting a waif though. Roll for your background?
>>36916383Deepwoods Slave, Thief and Mire Caravaner. So you were a Termagant Trog who was taken into slavery in the deepwoods. Escaped and now lead people through the Mire, stealing their belongings? Like a scarier screed.
>>36916383Containing my pattern of being *this close* to something, I missed being a Stone Pilot by one (I can't be transformed Maugin now), so a former slave, transitioning into a thief and then a caravanner. Skill selections are pending.
Rolled 30 (1d100)>>36916381Gotcha, my bad. Wood troll, d4 in Flora, Construction, Diplomacy, Perception.
Rolled 84, 58, 89, 91, 24 = 346 (5d100)Might as well do one myself.
Rolled 77, 88 = 165 (2d100)>>36916450Oh boy, Undertown dreg. Ain't no trees to chop in the city.D4: Construction, Flora, Diplomacy, Subterfuge, ThieveryD6: Perception
>>36916463A b(r)ogtroll labourer from Sanctaphrax who served as a stone pilot and craftsman. That's pretty special snowflake.
>>36916511Went from a backstreet thief to skypirating, which turned to slave trafficking with little moral qualms. Ladies and gentlemen, I have created the first evil woodtroll.d4: Construction, Flora, Diplomacy, Combat, Thievery, Skysailingd6: Subterfuged8: Perception A lookout for the slaving crew and, likely, the best or second best smooth talker.Marlon Brancho.

>>36916523He's about as smart as a snowflake.Grucrag the Brogtroll had always been fascinated with rocks since he was a young boy.His father had given him a piece of sky rubble as a child which he would play with for hours on end. Letting it go. Catching it just in time.Letting it go, catching it again.Until one day he missed it. Tears in his eyes, all Grucrag could do was stare up into the undertown sky as his toy floated away. It was then that he first recalls truely seeing Sanctaphrax rock for the first time. "BIG ROCK" He shouted to everyone nearby in the street as he pointed towards the sky and jumped up and down.Years later he would eventually work his way up to Sanctaphrax, getting a job tending the flight stones of the ships at the docks. One day, A Sky Pirate docked, their Flight rock was in horrible shape and Grucrag fixed it up miraclously! The sky pirate was so impressed he offered Grucrag the job of Stone Pilot(They had lost theirs in a battle with a League ship) which he eagerly accepted with glee. Sadly for Grucrag, although he was very good with Flight rocks, He was terrible with his sky footing and constantly fell off the platform and overboard once or twice. The disappointed Sky Pirate Dropped him off in Undertown, where he forlornly returned to maintaining flight rocks as a craftsman. But in his spare time, he would secretly work on his Balance and rope-work, hoping one day to fly again.
>>36916744.. Is that a d12 in Subterfuge? Nice!Sky above, that is one intimidating and sneaky Trog.
>>36916913Also, if it is a d12, then You'd get a free d4 in Status.Other thieves and Caravanners have heard of you I guess?
>>36916892Could be a decent NPC contact, or a small quest to recruit him or find him a job.Guys, I think we did good. This random rolling system is quick and produces ready-made unique individuals. Thank you based Edgeraces, Distantlands Anon, and System.
>>36916977I'm not sure how well our three random characters would mesh in a group together. Especially the slaver and he former slave.Grucrag would probably just go along with it for the chance to work with a good flight rock.
>>36916977Thanks :)I wasn't sure if randoming professions would work out well, but it appears to have been okay. I think that it might only be good for NPCs or characters that need rapid generation. I imagine playing with professions, background and race all randomed would be somewhat 'hard mode'.
All right, I'm hopping off for a bit. New thread is off to a good start!
>>36915208Holy shit I thought I was the only one who loved this. Pretty cool OP, keeping my eye on this.
