"Okay, lets just start marking the tunnels we go through. That way, we'll always know if we have been there. Go you have anything to use for that?" You stay rooted in your spot, keeping the tunnel you came from behind you.
"Yeah, I have some charcoal. I'll draw lines over the tunnels we've been through." Lee says, then pulls three lumps of charcoal from his inventory. He hands you one, and you draw an "X" above mine's tunnel.

You head down the right tunnel, marking the entrance. The tunnel ends at a dead end, so you turn around and retrace your steps. With that tunnel proven a dead end, you place a piece of glowing moss from the ceiling and place it at the entrance.

You take the left tunnel, drawing another "X" above it. It has a branch as well, and you take the right one. The tunnel is a long and narrow one, curving around and around. Funny, theres a bright, silvery scratch on the dark rock.Seems you've been here before! Maybe those damn Kobolds stole the map when Lee dropped it.

You follow the tunnel, bending over a bit so you don't hit your head on the rock ceiling. You step into a small cavern, the size of a closet. A torch burns brightly after being in the dim light for so long. Who lit that?

Deciding to get the map from those thieving kobolds, you pull your shield up and keep going down the tunnel. The green and blue moss seems weak after the bright light of the torch. With your heavy armor and your shield, you advance as a juggernaut down the stone tunnel.

The light from the moss dies off and is replaced by a red orange glow from fires. You look back at your guide and friend, and jerk your head at the next turn in the tunnel. They wordlessly prepare, drawing their weapons. Chris's long sword proves too long, and he is forced to bend at the waist to draw the weapon. He holds it pointing at the wall, his weapon too unwieldy to use normally in the small cave tunnel.

Prepared for battle, you stand with Lee, shields locked together. You walk forward with the NPC, turning the bend into the firelight. A small settlement has been constructed in a half submerged cavern. Three platforms have been constructed on the edge of the water, connected by rope bridges. Torches and cooking fires light the cavern, the light glittering on the dark water. Kobolds, about four feet tall, line the cavern, going about their routine.

You Howl from the safety of the tunnel, the scream echoing in the confined space. Every visible Kobold, about twenty, looks over at you with beady eyes. The monsters surge down to the floor, moving in a red wave of scales.

Many cling pickaxes and wooden spears, while some are armed only with their clawed hands. Still, they look like they could deal some damage. Chris puts away his sword, leaning it up against the cave wall. He takes out two healing crystals, holding them at ready.

The fastest monster slams into your shield, jumping and stabbing down with his bone knife. You lift your shield up, the weight of the monster pushing you back. A steel gladius stabs into the monster, and flings him off you. You take a moment to finish it off, cutting it in half below the shoulders.

The bulk of the monsters hit your shield wall, funneled into your tunnel. Hey, that rhymes. With your axe held at head height, you are able to cut away at the monster's flailing arms and unprotected heads. Lee simply stands and stabs, again and again. The monsters fall to your cruel axe and the NPC's short blade.

A claw sweeps across your helm, cutting into your cheek four white lines. The discomfort makes you grit your teeth, an old habit from when you were a kid. You make sure to chop that kobold's arm, then shield bash it to death. You hunker down, dealing eighty points of damage to the monsters before they dissolve.

The tide begins to recede, the monsters being depleted to only five. A roar comes from the cave, coming from something hidden from your view.

You back up a bit, letting the Kobolds run off into the cavern. You wait for them to return, sweat dripping down your back. When nothing happens, excluding some strange snake-like language coming from the hidden monster.

The monster roars again, and you brace for the onslaught to restart. The five kobolds charge back into your tunnel, clogging up the entrance. You squat down and start chopping away at the assaulting monsters. Finally, after taking a few hits from a pickaxe, a GLOPPING booming sound comes from the cave.

After standing around jerking it for a while, you decide that enough is enough. You look over at your party, and give instructions before the battle. "If your health dips into the yellow, get away and chug a potion. Save healing crystals for emergencies. I'll draw agro, Chris you hit his side, Lee, you switch between tank and hitting him from behind. Lets go!"

You Howl in the tunnel, the noise ricocheting around the round walls. You start walking as fast as you can in the uneven tunnel, and burst out into the open with your shield up.

The monster is standing alone on the beach, big, blue, and angry. He looks like one of the kobolds you've been killing, except double their size. He's clad in dark blue steel, with a wedge shaped head. In his hands is a huge warhammer, made from a bone.

With Lee to your left and slightly behind, you pull your shield and axe up for a combined charge. As you get closer and faster, the shield starts to glow red and the light streams behind you like it's caught in a wind tunnel.

You slam into the monster, that has two health bars and is named Razzarc the Dragonborne. You stop dead, the monster pushing back with his hammer.
"PUNY LITTLE MAN. YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD TOUCH THE GREAT RAZZARC?"

The monster shoves you back, sending you flying into the rocky beach. Chris jumps at the monster, swinging his long sword down at it's head. Razzarc catches the blow deftly with his hammer, moving it off line so it sinks into it's armored belly. The health bar goes down a bit, the two handed strike doing maybe twenty damage.

"Bitch please, I kill people." You get up, and get back into the fight.

The monster is taking stab wounds to the back from Lee, when he spins and knocks the NPC to the ground. You charge at him while he pulls his hammer back to smash apart the fallen NPC. You take your axe, and swing it into the monster's unprotected elbow. The bronze blade cuts deep into the scaly flesh, making the dragonborn let go of his hold on the hammer. His health dips down, losing thirty points.

Lee scrabbles away from the monster, but gives the monster a parting gift. With a glowing white line on his calf, the dragonborn turns around to face you. He stabs his hammerhead forward, the bone point digging into your shield. While he pulls the weapon from it's wooden prison, Chris comes up behind him and swings his sword in an Executioner's Strike. The blade, glowing the same blue as the monster's scales, chops into it's skull.

The monster, with eighty percent of it's health still untouched, pulls his hammer from the shield and spins around in a whirling hurricane of bone and steel. Chris gets knocked into the water, a splash alerting you to his predicament. Lee puts his shield in the monster's way, blocking the blow with his Shield Skill <<Unmovable Object>>. While the monster reels, you do an Axe Spin and cut three lines into the monster's steel covered back.

You Howl in the monster's ear hole, making it cringe and turn to face you. You swing at the monster's exposed neck while it turns, cutting a long "C" in the left side of it's neck.

You hold up your round shield, the monster's blow glancing off it and into the sand. You punch the shield boss forward at the scaly monster, dealing thirty damage when you punch a tooth from it's heavy jaw. The ivory tooth dissolves in the air, showering the beach with with white flakes.

The hammer's backspike hooks on your shield's bottom, ripping the wooden handle out of your grasp. The hammer's spearhead of bone trails along your glittering cuirass, taking away a tenth of your health. Damn, this big guy4 you is strong!.

Armed with only your axe, you pull it back to be used for an Executioner's Strike. The blade glows green, and finds a home in the monster's forehead. It drops into the yellow, the top health bar almost depleted. Chris has climbed out of the lake, his clothes dripping water. Lee is stabbing the monster from behind, his gladius glowing gold every few strikes where he uses a flourish to cut three lines in the monster in a second.

With your sharpened bracer, you drop to the sand and elbow the monster in the calf. He yawls, then kicks up aside with his three toed foot. You roll over, a trio of glowing lines on your stomach. You watch as the monster swings around to face Lee and Chris, who split up to attack from both sides. Your health rises slowly, as you stand up again.

Lee uses his Shield Skill to stop the monster's attack dead, while Chris chops down on the monster's elbows. The weapon sinks deep into the arm, making the monster swing his hammer's point back at Chris. Chris flies into the sand, and you charge in to replace him. The monster's back it to you, so you jump onto it's back while cutting the axe into the monster's shoulder.

With your legs wrapped around the monster's waist, you drag the sharpened bracer across it's scaly head. You let go of the axe, leaving it imbedded in the monster. With both hands, you hook the serrated blades into the monster's large traps. It tries to shake you off, reaching with one hand to grab onto you. The other tries to block the blows from Lee. With his large shield and heavy armor, Lee is able to stay in close to the monster and deal damage.

Finally, the monster grabs onto your cloak. You grab onto your axe, pulling it up the monster's back. He throws you into the defending NPC, both of you falling to the ground. You spring away from the NPC, raising your axe again. Chris draws the dragonborn away, keeping him at range by stabbing with the point of his sword.

The monster stumbles forward as you hit, your force pushing him off balance. Straight into the glowing blade of Chris.

The monster snarls, a white line cutting against his face from it's left eye to the right side of it's jaw. It's neck extends, and it bites down on Chris's forearm. The monster's savage teeth and beak-like lips cut straight through Chris's unarmored arm, making his hand drop from the sword and onto the sand.

Chris turns and runs away, leaving you to deal with the monster. With your axe still in the monster's neck, you jump off the monster. The axe leaves the dragonborn's body with a suckingYou have no idea how much I wanted to say Glopping sound.

Lee rushes up to your side, puffing madly as he lugs around his massive shield. Together, you charge at the monster as it swings it's hammer. Lee blocks the blow, but flies off to the right and into a building's support beam. The NPC's health dips into the red, and you Howl to draw the monster away from your injured blacksmith.

Crystal on Lee, Howl, give Chris some time to heal as well. Keep up your assault; you're almosy through this.

To give your friend time to regrow his hand and the NPC to use a healing crystal, you duck and weave into the monster's range. He jabs it forward at your body, the heavy head giving his thrust a large amount of power. It slams into your stomach, punching through your Jewel armor's weaker section. You HP dips into the yellow zone, and you're thrown back by the force.

You circle around the monster, staying out of it's range while you pull a potion from your belt. You pull out the stopper and take small shots of it while the monster swings it's hammer. Your HP slowly goes up, but it's take a while to get high. Even so, you'll be able to take a blow without drinking another potion. You close in, trying to get within the monster's range to choke it up.

The monster swings it's hammer down at your head, but you rush forward so that only it's scaly fist and the wooden haft hits you. You hold the axe horizontally, and press the blade up against the monster's stomach. The blade sinks into the monster's blue scaled belly, dealing damage for every second it's inside the monster.

Lee has gotten back up, his health back up to full. He runs behind the monster, kicking the dragonborn in the back of it's knee. He falls to one knee, then rises up and punches you in the chest. The blow launches you back, skidding across the sand to a halt on the water's edge.

Did we take a potion there? We lost 170 health, or is the potion in effect now?

Are we close enough to grab our shield and then get back into melee?

Howl and engage if not.

Best of three. You still won, just not to that degree.

Your potion starts to take effect, driving your health up at the rate of twenty points per second. Your health raises quickly as the monster turns on Lee. The NPC takes his licks with ease and blocking nearly every hit. His heavy shield serves to keep his whole body covered, the only danger a hook from the pointed end of the hammer. He moves in close, sifting his hips as he stabs the monster's stomach.

You rush to his aid, checking your axe back so it burns gold. As you reach the monster, you stab down into the monster's hip. The monster falls to the ground, your blow destroying it's hipbone. You push it over with a front kick and Howl. "THIS. IS. SPARTAAAAA!"

Lee looks at you in confusion, then stomps down on the monster with his boot's heel. Chris laughs from behind you, then runs forward while carrying his two-handed sword with his one hand. You pull back for an Executioner's Strike, dropping to your knees as you chop into the monster's unguarded neck. The blade cuts deep, catching slightly on the virtual bone.

Chris places his sword at the base of the monster's neck, then motions for you to hit it. You sheath your axe, then take the sword from the one handed boy. Standing on the monster's back, you have Lee hold the blade up by the long crossguard.

You raise your hands up, the fists glowing purple as they go over your head. You bring them down on the crossguard, driving the blade straight through the monster's spine. You pull it out, passing the steel blade to Chris. You pull the axe from it's frog, and chop down once. Twice. Three times on the neck. You rip the severed head from the body, the scaly body dissolving into flakes of white light. A notification appears on your vision, of a level up and new loot!

I'm gonna end the thread here, seems like a good spot. Next thread will be on tuesday or later monday, as I'm working tomorrow morning. Wish me luck, I'm gonna be fighting against twenty kobol-children. Children. I meant to say children.
