> Special lines up rather well considering I had an early christmas yesterday.
> I was struggling between choosing Hana Saves Christmas and Yuuki's First Christmas, both appealing ideas. So, taking the advice of a small girl in a taco commercial, I decided to do both.

In a quiet place of little remark, snow does paint the town; For Christmas Eve be upon us now, so come and gather 'round.
A special session, do I declare, will be held in here today; of MSQ... no, not that one (*sigh* I had to pick that name).
Maiden White, then, let's call it that, it's not important here. The rhyming will not last the day, so please lend me your ear.

Within in an innocuous little house, with tables, chairs, and doors; live three, bizzare Kiryokas. Three of the four.
Slumbering in a dense pile, a fair but awkward lad; the magical boy Makoto will sleep until rest is had.
Beside him, younger than he seems, is another strange one; tis' the younger brother Yuuki, (or perhaps he is the son?)
But bright awake and bushy-tailed is our matriarch today; for Hana has no time to sleep, to rest or hit the hay.
This Christmas-time shall be auspicious, with much to see and do;

But enough with this preamble, who are you?

Ah yes, you are Hana Kiryoka, mother to Makoto and Yuuki.

Awake in the early hours of the day to tend to menial matters, you stand in a lavishly decorated room, tinsel practically strangling each entrance and exit whilst colourful shiny balls cast light into places it was never meant to be. While you may have had a troubled life in the past, you cherish what you have now, and the two boys sleeping upstairs, no matter what kind of bizzare scrapes they might get into.

"Agh, fgrfld, *ptou* What happened to the house!?" A high pitched squeal emanates from the stairs as Yuuki, with a flat smack, slams onto the floor. He writhes and wrestles on the ground, bound and wrapped up in a confining cocoon of Christmas decorations. He could barely make it five feet before being caught in this web of yours, which was your plan all along. This being Yuuki's first Christmas, you intend to make it one he'll remember. This holiday has to be one of your favourites, and you intent to share the joy. Whether they want it or not.

"Merry Christmas, honey!" You call out, hoisting him off the ground and planting him flat. You rapidly rearrange him, hanging the tinsel properly and letting the baubles shine. Yuuki seems puzzled, but he looks festive.

"This is more terrifying than holiday based around scaring others." He comments bluntly, tearing the decorations that restrict him down.

> It's to scare the Christmas spirit into you!

With Yuuki from that festive wrap, he's perfectly open to accept one of your hugs with ease. You launch forward, wrapping your arms around him and nuzzling the poor boy half to death. Makoto may have your propensity for them, but he doesn't have the sheer arm strength to really drive that hug home. Yuuki blinks, buried in your bosom and pulls away to breathe.

"Breathe the Christmas spirit, Yuuki! It's better than air." You tell him, eyes sparkling. He opts for a kind of dull glare though.

"I think I'll take air." He whimpers, returning to his feet. You hear something collapse upstairs and perk up.

"Oh, Makoto's up. Fantastic! I want to take both of you out tonight. We're going shopping." You say, clapping your hands together.

"I may not be well-versed in this holiday, but doesn't that seem like a terrible idea?" Yuuki asks, placing his hands on his hips.

"Oh course not, it's perfect. It's the festive atmosphere of the mall, the massive energy of the crowd, and the hot-blooded fervor that comes with beating one of those old bitties to the last thing on the shelf." You exclaim, growing increasingly sinister and sadistic in your voice as you continue. You don't get as much challenge and action in this life than you used to with Kazuta, but beating down another mother in the store comes pretty close.

"Oh, I remember when Makoto just had to have this certain toy. We had so much christmas spirit that day we got thrown out of what was left of the store!" You tell Yuuki, remembering that day fondly. Pressurised fire extinguishers make a nice boom when they go off.

"R-Right..." Yuuki chuckles nervously.

Down from the stairs, more free than his brother was, Makoto appears. Clad in a somewhat feminine jacket and pants, half-messy black hair hanging to his shoulders. You want to hold him down and cut that ragged mane of his before it becomes unmanageable, or at least style it into something nicer. His powers might have some kind of appearance care, but he still needs to learn. He takes a second to consider his surroundings, then, as if consulting some unseen advisor, continues.

"I think the hallway gets denser every year, Okaa-san." He says with a sigh, spitting out tinsel. You can't help but giggle.

"I try."

"I can tell." He replies. You both wish each other merry with a hug and he goes off to the front door. "I'm going out with friends today, apparently Yui has some kind of party on and invited some people."

"Huh!?" You turn to him, and see him putting on some boots for the snow. "B-But what about our christmas eve crusade?" You ask, shaking your hands. He blinks at you.

"D-Didn't you get everything ages ago?" He asks. Incredible, that he'd actually forget you always went to the mall together on christmas eve. Still, Makoto is a growing boy, he can't be spending all his time punching people with his mother.

You can scarcely believe it yourself, but you're prepared to let Makoto go and play with his friends on Christmas eve instead. Perhaps driven by a desire to see the bird leave the nest, you pull Yuuki in front of you as well.

"Well maybe you should take your little brother as well. He can do whatever you plan to do as well. Give him some people to hang out with more his own age, hm?" You suggest nervously. Yuuki doesn't seem to mind the idea but Makoto blushes for some reason.

"Uh, I don't know if that's such a good idea. I mean, Yui said we'd be, um, and Shun, err, it's not the best..." He waves at you, trying to dissuade away from your urging. But it took a lot of courage and self-restraint to suggest this, so you're not letting it go that easily. You push him forward into Makoto.

"I insist, Makoto. You should be spending time with your brother/alien creation." You insist. Makoto blinks and Yuuki yawns, rubbing his eyes.

"Ehh, okay Kaa-san. Yuuki, go put something warmer on." He urges him to go. He doesn't have much in the way of proper clothes for his body size yet, and ends up wearing some of Makoto's older clothing which doesn't fit right. You can't help but buzz around him as he does this, still debating whether you should go back on what you said and drag them along for family fun time. Makoto's getting older, you don't know how many times you'll be able to do this with them anymore. But you can't, he needs his space and you need to be supportive. You act supportive by sprinkling some more tinsel on the both of them as they leave.

"Have fun, boys!" You call out, throwing tinsel and baubles into the air. The two of them wave and head down the street. You hear Makoto muttering something about corsets, and Yuuki seems shocked. Strange boy, wonder where he gets that from? You think as you go to collect up your christmas eve equipment.

"Alright, time to go shopping!" You say, strapping on an army helmet and twirling a riot bat.

You find yourself in warm clothing and with ample protective equipment, standing in front of the shopping complex, facing the crowd of christmas eve shoppers. Like some grotesque mass of living greed, they fawn over the shops, searching for the last remnants of that most desired item of the season. You don't in particular have anything in mind you need that much, apart from some clothes for Yuuki and feminine aids for Makoto, but you live for the crowd control. It's the one time of year where you can legally beat someone down in the name of good cheer, after all.

"Hm, how to approach this." You muse, walking up and down the crowd, poking people as you go by. You smack your chestplate and ponder your opportunities.

That mass of people is far too thick to get into, you'd be crushed in an instant. Not a new threat to you, but presented in a new way, you suppose. Like a zombie horde, you must first drive them away with a distraction. But not with brains, no, this horde will respond to something far more precious. You rustle around in your bag of equipment, sighing at your grappling hook and putting it to the side. You climb atop a vestibule and flip out a loudspeaker and stolen employee apron & hat. You lean backwards, balancing on your heels, and take a deep breath. Then,

"THEY'RE DOING 90% OFF AT THE BACK OF THE MALL FOR 5 MINUTES! 90% OFF AT THE BACK OF THE MALL!" You screech out over the crowd. Everyone seems to freeze for a minute, and some glance at you. At the sight of your 'official duds', the crowd moves with startling speed, crushing things underfoot as they race towards the back of the mall, leaving only stragglers behind.

"Shoppers.." You hop down and stroll into the place, cleared of the massive crowd. Again and again you repeat this method, directing the crowd akin to a wild pack of ravenous beasts with promises of fresh meat whilst you scoop up the precious things left behind. Eventually you just stop scooping entirely and simply start doing it to mess with people. You announce false prizes and nonsense over your blaring horn and the loudspeaker, and pass by unnoticed by the crowds. You stuff jiggling toys and loud radios into people's clothing, and snatch the object of their obsessions in the chaos. Even once or twice you concede in slapping an ass or two and watching someone else catch the blame or blush as you claim the prize. However you're not exactly very subtle in your methods, and it ends up leading to what this day usually ends in; you being chased out of the building by mall cops. They call and screech, but they're no match for your speed. You cackle madly and escape through the glass, wishing a merry Christmas to all

"Whew~ What a rush!" You collapse onto a bench in the evening, having spent the day away at the chaos that was the mall. Around you lie bags of goods, bought at ridiculous prices as you battled your way through. The wind whistles past as you rustle in the bags, but to your surprise there isn't that much to sort through. Your haul is dismal compared to what you'd managed to accrue in past years with Makoto to help out. Despite his small statue, the boy was always incredibly strong and resourceful. With those big, beautiful eyes, he could break the hearts of the most stoic, especially as 'your daughter'. You giggling, thinking of it. Not a fond tactic of his, but one you had a lot of fun with.

"Well... we still have Christmas." You think, looking forward to tomorrow. This isn't time to be sad, you should be happy and peppy for your boys. God knows enough will beat down on them, so you have to fill them with enough joy to punch back at life. Kazuta did that for you, and so you it for them.

"Yep, as long as Christmas is fi-*" Your words are cut off by an explosion in the sky, a great bang from above. You glance upward and see a flurry of light cascade down to the ground, landing nearby in a wooded park. There were no flames to be seen, nor smoke or brimstone; nothing like any explosion you've seen. Simply a great emanation of light and colour in the evening sky. If not a weapon, then perhaps a meteor.

"A meteor..." You think, then gasp, "Yuuki's from other space (sort of), I bet he'd love a meteor!" You jump for joy and venture into the woods, searching for the crash site. You come upon it fairly easily but find no clump of space rock. Instead it seems to you like a great red box with ski legs, sitting atop some broken trees and bushes. A great sleigh, you suppose

If there's a sleigh here, someone was probably using it, and you can't just abandon them to their burning, agonising, meteor-induced fate! Well, you could; you probably would have some years ago, but not anymore dammit. You push the trees and bushes aside as you enter the park and look around the wreckage. The sleigh looks pretty totalled, seemingly by the force of the impact.

"Hello? Is anyone alive?" You ask, exploring the crash site. You hear a sort of breathing nearby and knock some bushes aside.

"Who's there?" You peer beyond the brush and are greeted by a shining black nose. A reindeer stares at you for a moment before whinnying, startling you back. Deer you can find around this area, but a reindeer is something else entirely. You think you might have an idea of what might have occurred here, but dare you dream?

"U-Ugh, what happened?" A voice from behind you, inside the sleigh asks. Your cheeks well up and and you fling yourself over the side of the sleigh.

"SANTA!?" You call out. "Eh?" The face that greets you is not the face of the jolly old man you've grown accustom to. Rather, the sled contains a sultry woman with fair skin and silken hair, with adorably wide eyes. Her outfit is to be expected of the season, clad in red and white with a cap, jacket and skirt lined with fur, a clear white stockings. She pulses with a bizzare energy that seems almost palpable, but unknown to you.

"I-I think I hit something in the sky. Something that came from above, and moved with incredible speed." She states, looking over the wreckage of her sleigh.

"Who are you?" You ask, curiously. She glances back with a scoff.

"I know my appearance varies, but you don't recognise me? Surely the coat would give it away?" She asks, fluttering the coat on her chest. Your jaw drops as you realise who she most likely is.

"It does, but don't call me Shirley; call me Hana." You respond promptly. She stands up and surveys the crash site, going over everything. You stand nearby and watch her work, wondering when she might notice.

"Ahem, assuming you are who I think you are, I have to say you did an amazing job at losing weight." You comment with a slight giggle.

"We're not all fat, y'know. This is-" She glances down at herself and suddenly shrieks, covering up. "Agh, what the heck!?" She glances at you, as if expecting answers, and you smile.

"Oh, it's fine. My son does this all the time." You tell her. She glances at you with an utter confusion in her eyes, then glances back down.

"I-I know they hand this job down to different people as time goes on, but this is probably the first time there's been a woman wearing the pants. So to speak.." She answers, trying to pull the skirt down. "Ugh, the old man never had to deal with anything even close to this, why me? I can't distribute like this."

"What!? You have to!" You smoosh your face up against hers, staring deep into her eyes.

"B-but the skirt barely covers anything, you expect me to fly in this getup?" She asks incredulously. You nod in response.

"Whatever the case, for the sake of all the boys and girls out there, you need to distribute presents! Besides, a fluttering skirt is a present in itself" She exclaims. The girl, at first blushing at you claim, considers your words and sighs.

"Maybe, but what can we do? The reindeer are gone, the sled is totalled, and I don't exactly look the part." She says, listing off the problems.

"Ah, I've been in worse situations. We just need a plan."

"Whenever something breaks in my house, we usually have Robo fix it. He also causes it most of the time." You surmise. The girl wonders what you mean by 'Robo' but you pull your phone out from your purse and call up Yuuki-kun. He has a direct line to Robo/is Robo, so he should be able to help with this.

"Hi Yuuki, it's Hana. How are you?" You chime into the phone.

"I'm alright. I'm just hanging out with Makoto's friends." You hear back. You weren't worried, but it's a relief to hear him say that regardless. "Apparently Yui's front door had a leak. But she replaced our clothes so we didn't catch a cold. I haven't seen Makoto in a while though."

"How thoughtful. Do you know anything about fixing sleds? I need your help in the park near our house."

"I can fix any earthly creation." He boasts. "I'll get Makoto and we'll meet you there with one of my mechanical bodies. See you soon, Hana."

"Call me Kaa-san" You say happily.

"...Uh, right, K-Kaa-san." You hear him stutter from the other end. He's getting there, slowly. You clap your hands and turn back to the girl.

"Alright, help is on the way. Your sled should be fixed soon, better than before. We can catch your reindeer, and this Christmas is back on track. Hooray!" You exclaim, pulling out a cattle prod from your equipment sack.

"You may be forgetting something, Hana." She replies, gesturing to her chest. "This is still a problem."

"Listen to me, sexy girl santa," you say with the utmost of a serious tone as you step forward. With a firm hand, you grab one of her breasts, causing her to squeak. "Your breasts are not the problem, it's what lies behind them."

"W-What are you doi- Let go!"

"I will not! Deep within your chest is beating a weak heart, unmanly and frail. To be manly is to do the best you can do, to go beyond what others may think. In that way, it is the same as pure Christmas Spirit!" You announce to the heavens.

"Your job is to bring joy and happiness to all, you cannot afford to be weak of mind or body, for you would crush those dreams placed upon your shoulders if you falter. If you must be a woman, you should be the best woman you can possibly be, that's the manly way to deal with it!" You stare deep into her eyes, staring with conviction. Just as you told Makoto, you tell her now.

"So what if your skirt flies up in the wind? So what if these ample, succulent breasts may attract the gaze of men? So what if they wish to lie you down, strip your clothes off, and have their way with you... repeatedly..." You say, starting to drift off a in your words, paying more heed to your daydreams.

"...Hana?"

"...Hm? Oh right! Did my speech help at all?" You ask, eagerly.

"No, it was ridiculous." She replies, eyebrow twitching. "Being feminine is not being manly, who would believe that?"

"Kaa-san!" You hear the voice of Makoto in the distance. Your help has arrived.

The trees part as one of Robo's older frames, a giant mechanical body. Makoto and Yuuki suddenly appear, wearing bulky overcoats to protect them from the cold. They look different from the last time you saw them, particularly Makoto looks out of breath.

"Great timing, honey! Love the coats." You comment, clapping your hands together. Makoto flinches and tugs at the sleeves of his coat.

"Y-Yeah, Y-Yui gave them to us, and nothing else." He replies, stuttering in his words. Yuuki casts a suspcious glance his way.

"But what about the festive dr-" Makoto slaps a hand over his mouth.

"Nothing else!" He completes. You blink and giggle. The two boys get along so well they can even finish each other sentences, how cute. You explain the situation and your part in it, and Robo's mechanical body runs some slight sensors over the girl before he gets to work rebuilding the sled. The girl Santa goes off to reclaim the reindeer. You convene with the two boys nearby.

"The girl definitely got hit by a focus." Yuuki states, looking over a strange alien device. "As such, she's a magical girl, and possibly subject to corruption." He continues. Makoto nods along, understanding completely, but you sit at the side trying to keep up. They've tried to explain this to you before, but you never were good with magic as an explanation. Still, this is what your son does, so it should be fine. Makoto looks at the ground, thinking about what to do.

"If we purify her now, she might not have the strength to complete the job. But if we don't she could turn into a monster in the middle of her run." He replies, considering the options. It sounds like a hard decision to make.

"She'll be fine!" You say, chiming in with your opinion. Both of them glance at you. "I don't know all the specifics, but I believe she can hold it together long enough to save Christmas!" Your eyes sparkle at the possibility.

"Maybe." Yuuki responds. "Corruption doesn't turn immediately, after all. But I'd still prefer to stay on hand just in case."

"Then we should fly with her." Makoto suggests. "That way we can make sure to purify her if she turns."

"Perfect, we'll be secret santas!" You exclaim, pulling some santa hats out of your bags from the mall. You quickly place one on each of Makoto and Yuuki's heads, fitting it snugly before donning one of your own. That done, you hug each of them with one arm, pulling them to their feet. Makoto smiles underneath his hat but Yuuki looks embarrassed.

Before long, work has finished on the sleigh, and Robo uses Yuuki to apply some minor finishing touches. As per his usual work, it looks like a cross between a wooden sleigh and some kind of alien spacecraft. He quickly presses a button to turn the adaptive alien metal red, so at least it looks festive. The girl returns with her reindeer in tow, having pulled them away from the neighbourhood vegetable patch. You'll probably cop the blame for that, but it's for a good cause.

"I've always wanted to ride in Santa's sleigh, and also save Christmas. Now I get to do both!" You say, looking at the sleigh. Despite her crass attitude before, the girl acts lovingly with the reindeer and fastens them to the sled. The four of you pile in as she takes the reins. With a crack in the air, the reindeer launch forward and carry the entire thing up into the air. With startling speed, you climb high above the clouds and have taken flight.

[1/2]
>>
>>36887315

You personally have been in several planes, some of which even landed, but the feeling remains exhilarating. For Makoto it's an entirely new experience, and he shares your enthusiasm. Yuuki isn't distracted by the miracle of flight, and seems to be more focused on calculations, utterly unconvinced this feat is actually possible. He doesn't get much of an answer out of the girl, content to keep her secrets. You cascade over many houses, and the girl allows you to deliver presents to the houses.

"With this wind, I can't move an inch without flashing people." She explains, handing presents to each of you.

"Tell me about it..." Makoto grumbles, fiddling with something under his coat. Despite that, he seems pretty adept at this, and moves with great speed to deliver. Yuuki performs similarly, though more clinically. All the houses he visits have their presents arranged perpendicular to each other. You somehow manage to outshine both of them, placing presents into houses without so much as even touching the floor in some cases. When questioned, you shrug it off. It's not exactly laser security you're dealing with, this kind of work you could manage in your sleep.

Makoto and Yuuki descend for a drop on a cluster of houses somewhere in Germany, leaving you to kick back in the sleigh for a little bit.

"Haa~ this is hard work, I don't know how you manage it." You chuckle, stretching your legs out. You don't seem to receive a response from the girl, so you turn and glance at her. She seems to be shivering, but not from the cold. Her legs are quaking and her teeth chatter, and she almost looks desaturated of colour.

I-Is this what they were afraid of, you wonder, leaning back from the mysterious occurrence.

Faced with someone filled with some kind of corrupting influence, some dark core seeping out from her soul, you only have one reaction from deep within your gut. You reach out and clasp her with both hands, embracing her with your loving warmth.

"!?" The girl glances up at you, her eyes fuzzy with some kind of static. She might not realise it, but hugs from your family have prevented some pretty disastrous things in the past. It's possible they could serve a purpose here. You embrace her lovingly, feeling your body press against hers, and a little annoyed at how tight and young she feels.

"It's okay. Just calm down and everything will be fine. I chose this, I can deal with it. I've dealt with worse." Despite your intentions, this doesn't seem to be curing her, but does seem to be stifling whatever it was that was causing this in the first place. You glance back down at the houses, but see no sign of your boys.

"Come on..." You urge, still staring over. Something sparks next to you, and you turn to see the girl's head consumed by some great darkness. The sides of her head erupt with energy, spreading dark antlers that seem to consume the sky above them, with dark, hollow eyes piercing into you.

"I can do this, I can do this." You repeat in your head, thinking of what to do. You try and grab her, but a hand clamps over your head, grips tightly, and hurls you into the air. You shriek, trying to grab onto the sleigh as you fall, barely managing it. However, you don't have the strength to hold on.

"N-No, I can hold. I've done... it... befo-" Your fingers give way and you fall. Feeling the rushing cold air, you reach down at your side but find your bag missing. You paw around uselessly, looking for some implement, but without them you can't stop yourself. With the ground steadily approaching, all you can do is shut your eyes.

[1/2]
>>
>>36887978
But before you hit the ground, something hits you, and you start flying sideways. Cracking your eyes open, you can see a head of long, black hair flapping in the breeze as a firm grip holds you tightly.

"...K-Kaz..." You whisper and open your eyes wide. You stop on a rooftop and in the moonlight you recognise the face.

"Makoto!" You correct yourself. Your son, although not that right now, is clad in a long and flowing dress of red and white with a fair, calming face. A pale white light illuminates her, and she pulses with power. She places you down on the rooftop gently, and you look down with shame.

"I guess it was silly of me to suggest this, huh?" You admit. "I thought I could handle this like the weird stuff I used to." You curl up, frowning. "I just ruined it instead." Despite your claims, Makoto shakes her head.

"You kept her occupied, Kaa-san." Makoto looks back up at the creature shifting in the sleigh. Rather than her usual shy demeanour, she looks up at the sleigh with determination. "Sorry I didn't go shopping with you today, I know you wanted to like we used to. But I'll make it up to you tomorrow." She says, pulsing with arcane might. She glances over her shoulder with a smile. "On our Christmas, right?"

You stare at her for a second, then smile and nod. "Alright." You rise back to your feet and pump your fist in the air. "Go beat up demon girl Santa, honey!"

[2/3]

To be fair we DID cockblock Makoto today.
>>
>>36888231

"Okay!" He confirms. She pushes off from the building, sending an icy shockwave into the air as she launches, and pushing ou backwards from the power. Amid the gusting wind, you spy a burst of white energy erupt from her hands, and she collides with the corrupted girl, sending both of them down to the ground. You expect the sleigh to fall, but someone leaps from the building below and catches the reins, holding them steady. It soars down next to you, and Yuuki throws out a hand to catch yours.

"Hana, come on!" He calls out, pulling you into the sleigh as you two climb into the sky. Below in the streets you can see Makoto brawling, with occasional flashes of light and power, and the odd car thrown to and fro. The girl is strong, but Makoto is fast and experienced, and deftly slides past, cleaving one of the antlers off with manifested energy. She manages quick smirk before a stray hand smacks her into a building.

"Come on, Makoto." You hear Yuuki call out beside you. You can feel the frustration, but what can you do?

You'd stand no chance against someone like that in an actual melee. People you can fight, but magically enhanced mythical figures is a bit beyond you. You recall earlier today, dealing with the mass of people. Unable to physically overcome them, you resorted to distraction.

You fiddle around in your bag and pull out the megaphone from your tools. No reason it won't work here, you think. However, without a desire to wake up everyone in with profanity or something else, you instead opt for something a bit nicer, and begin to belt out 'Jingle Bells' over the megaphone. Unlike Makoto, you actually do have quite a bit of singing skill.

Immediately, it seems to take an effect. Hearing the song distracts her, letting Makoto recover from the dangerous blow before. She erupts from the wall, sending fragments of masonry cascading onto the street, and delivers and blunt kick to her side, smashing her against the street and crashing into a car.

"You can do it, Makoto!" Yuuki also cheers out, leaning over the side in a display of uncharacteristic enthusiasm and hope. Makoto turns her attention back to the beastie, but has to immediately duck under a far flying at her. The corrupted girl stamps on the ground and charges, bearing her sharp horns, intent on impaling Makoto. You sing out again but she's ignoring you this time.

"Ah! She knows my voice, she's not distracted." You realise, ceasing your song. You glance around but it seems too late to resort to anything else, so you lay your eyes on Yuuki. Yuuki.

"Ah, Yuuki! Quick, sing!" You say, shoving the megaphone in front his face.

'W-What!?"

"I taught you songs leading up to Christmas," you remind him, "and now is your time to shine!"

"T-They were for THIS?" He asks, fearful for what you might say. Of course they weren't, but it's all you can think of right now. The antlered beast draws closer to the stunned Makoto.

[1/2]
>>
>>36889138

Yuuki gulps, his voice cracking, and he starts to sing Silent Night, with a hesitant tone. Being a machine, his tone is perfect, but lacks your enthusiasm.

Still, it's enough; the beast casts her glance your way, moving the antler out of it's deadly path. Makoto takes a strong stance and recoils a fist. It crackles with energy, then surges forward, blasting her in the side of the head with a concentrated shockwave that blows her off her feet. She lands some feet away, knocked unconscious from the blast, and slowly shifts back to her previous body. Makoto collapses to her knees for a breather. Yuuki and yourself cry out in victory, and Yuuki embraces you around the waist. Only for a few seconds though, then retracts his grasp shyly. That doesn't stop you from hugging him though.

"We saved Christmas!" You call out in celebration.

"Probably!" You add.

=====

In reality, punching out Santa did not, in fact, save Christmas. It came as a shock to the whole family.

Makoto's surging strike, along with that charge, put her out of commission for the night, at which time Robo had her focus removed. Removing her focus did not seem to revert her body, unlike Makoto, for which she blamed you three. Because of this, she still placed the each of you permanently on the naughty list, never to be given Santa's gifts on Christmas ever again.

Not exactly Hana Saves Christmas, you supposed as you left the hospital with Makoto and Yuuki in the early hours.

By the time the three of you arrive home, it is well into the morning, and each of you is worn out and exhausted from your trip. Yuuki can barely keep himself standing and Makoto is falling asleep on the spot, not that you are in the best condition either.

"Alri... *yawn* alright, Kaa-san. It's Christmas day, we can do whatever you want." Makoto states, as you step into the living room, pushing tinsel vines out of the way.

With your face obscured, you allow yourself a moment to show your exhaustion before you slap yourself back to action. In the end, Makoto and Yuuki did all the work. Now they're fought against against pure nonsense for you. What kind of mother would you be if you complained? You spin around and shoot the two of them your most energetic and lively smile, putting some of your best to shame.

"That's easy, honey. We open your presents!" You exclaim, leaping forward to squeeze the two of them. Both of them grunt and hack out as you compress the air from their lungs. The harder you squeeze, the move love you can transfer. It's just logic, honestly. Besides, between a mahou shonen and an android, you think they would have a little more backbone.

The one with a literal metal backbone especially.

"I don't think even the antler girl had that kind of grip." Makoto gripes, coughing.

"Yeah, she really did need a better grip," You say, rustling around in your bags. You produce, from them, presents from Santa, neatly wrapped. They utterly stun the two kids.

"W-What, how? I thought Santa hates us?"

"Oh she does, but I nabbed a bunch of presents while she wasn't looking." You smile, handing them to Makoto and Yuuki respectively. "No-one snubs my kids." You say happily before your smile contorts into a grim expression of pure sadism and malice.

"NO.ONE." You say with the cold demeanour of a corpse... then bounce back to your delightful self. The three of you spent what was left of that day just indoors with each other. The presents nabbed may not have been elaborate nor particularly accurate, between Makoto's gift of a cordless power drill and Yuuki's slinky, red dress. (They later gladly swapped in private.) But for you, spending some quality time with two of the people you love the most was a gift in itself.

Aaaand, that's a wrap. A bit wobbly at the beginning I felt like the ending was a nice cap. I'd like to thank people for joining me in here, and also for the entire past few months of Maiden White. It's been a real joy writing this stuff, more than I expected. Here's hoping next year is good too.

Was ancy about letting people have Hana, since her thoughts have potentially massive spoilers about the mainline stuff, but kept that to a minimum.

I like the dynamic of Makoto & Yuuki. Part of the reason I wanted human-robo was to have more of a connection between Makoto & the benefactor, as well as being able to put him into more mundane situations.
