/tg/ - Traditional Games

>Current Population: 1330(480 Gorgon) (1 City, 22 villages, 4 islands, 33 heroes)
>Culture and Art: Your people wear fine woven clothing dyed in rich black and red mineral dyes, leather shoes, and various gold, iron, and shell jewelry. They worship a loose pantheon of Celestial bodies with a casual respect towards elemental and nature spirits.
>The People: Your people organize themselves into casual family and extended family units formally lead by a Magocracy made up of a council of Cyclops and a few Gorgons. Gorgons exist as a visible Minority group that are occasionally bred with. Trade skills are committed to and goods and services are purchased with Ivory Rings. Ethnicity wise your people come in a variety of light to dark tanned freckled skin tones with their white hair braided or kept short and messy. Your People speak and write Island "True" Cyclopean.
>Technology: Your people possess a variety of Iron & Stone tools; clay and iron are produced in stone kilns and forges. Homes possess stone foundations, wooden or bamboo frames, and dried woven grass walling and roofs. Basic Math, Reading, and Writing are all taught at public forums and Bamboo Scrolls are common. Stone working is quite adapt: Megaliths and smaller Coastal stone structures have all been constructed. Herbal remedies are relied upon for medicine.
>Magic: (121 "Sages".) Elemental magics are practiced for both practical, martial and divination purposes. Megaliths, stone structures, as well as Gold and Iron mediums have all be made. Arcane and Clerical magic has been recently discovered.
>Food: Moderate. Your people grow large Ochard-like Tree Gardens that contain Plantains, Mangoes, Herbs, Spices, Breadfruit, Cashews, and Sweet potatoes. Aquaculture is also used to raise stocked freshwater fish, but fishing remains a more practical source of seafood. Livestock include: Elephants, Triceratops, Chickens, and Banana Rats. Dried goods kept in communal Granaries.

+NEW HYMN+
The old Hymn has ended and a new one must be sung; The Hymn of The Flourishing Eye must now be sung.

Due to a number of Advances in everything from technology, culture, magic, and the arts your people's lives have dramatically change from what they were previously like: Bamboo scrolls and the written word is common, magic is quite readily available, and the world as you've always known it has become quite small.

>+Ecological Development+

Most importantly though an Environmental/Ecological development has begun to occur on the mainland: the further advancement of more sophisticated Iron Tool working as well as significantly more advanced and complex magical practices have lead to the slow and methodical deforestation and replacement of the mainlands Forest with aggressive non-native plants that grow quite rampantly in the fertile, nutrient-rich, "old growth" fungal woods of the mainland. The animals you've accidentally or purposefully introduced have also had a huge a(e)ffect on spreading your native flora as well.

>Animals Introduced onto the mainland: Elephants, Island Deer, Jungle fowl, Banana Rat, & Tapir.
>Plants Introduced onto the mainland: Grasses, Bamboos, Palms, & numerous other leafing plants and trees.

OH and on a side note: I drew an updated map. I hope it is okay- I took some artistic liberties.

Idea: Perhaps we can start making massive sail boats, use some or all of these zizz feathers in a great undertaking, since they seem to catch the wind so easilly.

Or would this be more of an action?

Mineral Dyes are not only common, but also very easy to work with and they look fantastic: most if not all of the finest Cyclopean clothing defined by prominent and striking Black and Red coloration and patterns soaked and worked into the finely woven fabrics.... and it remains this way for the time being.

>Develop the compass.
>Idea 70/100
>Above Average Success +Geomancy

One of your Sages and a handful of Geomancers in their free time have begun to experiment with the use of Water and Earth for divination purposes and this has lead to something peculiar: A large, flat, clay tablet is layed out and ontop it is placed a small fragment of Iron or Magnetite (magnetic volcanic rock). With a Single short poem- the black stone shudders and points in seemingly in the vague direction of the mainland. Mysterious.
>Your people possess no concept of North or South, so at this point this advancement offers very little beyond a simple parlor trick.

>>36880063
>Develop and Experiment with the idea of a "Sail" using a Zizz Feather as a basis/prototype.
>Idea/Action 18/20 76/100
>Success on Both. +Fabrics +Boats

The Zizz feather is massive- but it weighs absolutely nothing.. and a few of your fishermen and woodworkers become inspired by how easily and effortlessly the feather seems to catch the wind. They wonder what else it can push or help glide and they "borrow" it to attach it to numerous things: Pots, Rocks, Felled Trees, an Elephant- it isn't until much later that it's confiscated by the Sage council and used for an actual intelligent purpose: The Weavers are told to observe and replicate a fabric product that will catch the wind as easily as the Zizz feather.

It takes a few weeks- the Zizz feather is returned a little scuffed up, but they do produce something: The Sail.

>+SAIL INVENTED+
>The Sail is a large piece of strong fabric capable of catching wind.
>>
>>36880394

I didn't have room to put it in there, but the Sail can be used for all sorts of stuff so don't feel limited to just "boats". Like, if you work the Sail right it can be developed into a lot of different inventions.

>LUCKY DOUBLE 7!!!!!!!!!!!!! +Interesting results+

For the longest time your people have seen entertainment come in a couple of forms: Sex for pleasure, hunting, fishing, gathering food while gossiping, and even more homosexual sex after your people found out where babies came from.
Elemental Magics though have become increasingly widespread due to the advent of Bamboo scrolls and an incredibly strong cultural attachement to communal learning: almost every cyclops has memorized a few simply hymns or chants and to most folks- listing off a poem off the top of their heads is quite simple. This has lead to a new development:

>+SOCCER HAS BEEN INVENTED+
>Soccer is a simple enough sport and it comes in two forms: HARD soccer which is played using Geomancy where a Stone is used as a ball and the many hollowed out "eye-holes" of the Megaliths on islands are used as a goal mark. Points are scored by passing the Stone through the Hole- it is very popular with young men. Soft Soccer is played much the same only the ball is made out of woven leather or hide- it is very popular among women, children, and the elderly.

>High Quarter Success. +Communal learning. +Bamboo Scrolls. +Magocracy

A handful of your Cyclopes have begun to write and compile large bamboo scrolls with illustrious and beautifully drawn images of plants and animals as well as interesting pieces of information about them. These Scrolls are extremely popular with the Sages council as well as fishermen, farmers, woodsmen, hunters, and even children who enjoy looking at the illustrations. The Sages council begin making commissions and encourage the production of more such scrolls as well as their use by the common folk to extend information.

The Zizz wants it's feathers back.
It will take 2 Turns for the Zizz to Arrive.

Your Sages are currently "mildly" panicking- the Zizz is not a mere bird, it is a force of nature: as great if not greater than the wind it rides upon.

They attempt to appease the wind in an effort to try and lessen the fury of the Zizz: Songs are sung, offerings are laid out, a shrine is built- the works.. Nothing. Anytime a Wind Elemental attempts to materialize it is blown away- only capable of leaving whispers behind.

The Zizz is the Wind. The Zizz Commands it. The Zizz Beckons and the world can be drawn breathless.

Exactly how do you propose we kill a beast that has the entirety of this planet's air at its command.

>roll 18/20
>Success. +Prophecy

As The Zizz breaks over the Horizon, as the winds begin to kick up, as the sun is eclipsed by the sheer mass of the Zizz- Your people have already begun to take shelter. Holes are dug, fires are put out, homes are supported, further thatched, and hidden in. Gorgons -whom mysteriously seem oblivious to the advancements of the zizz- are gathered up by hand and taken to shelter. Heroes are directed and instructed to assist in the emergency efforts and even the Elements of Earth are roused by an energy hymn to come to our peoples aid.

>Your people have hunkered down for the Zizz. Time will tell if it makes any difference, but at is stands right now: people are at least cozy, hiding, and hidden away in their stone and bamboo houses waiting out the Zizz.

The Weeping Sage has not taken shelter and cannot be found or located upon any of the other islands- He has not been seen since a few of the Men went out to guide and offer up the boats laden with offerings to the Zizz at the Reefs where upon it Nests and has been known to Frequent.

Your people can only assume that the Weeping Sage must be at the Reefs with the offerings and the boats- Perhaps preparing for the Zizz's arrival in his own way.

>The Zizz will soon arrive: The sun is completely obstructed, if your people weren't cowering they would be able to see the eye of the storm- the Center on which the Zizz's massive frame blows away the crackling and torrential storm that it has surrounded itself with. The Winds are blowing even harder, the waves are crashing upon all the shores of your lands, and it seems even the Fungal Forests of the mainland are receiving a beating- the Long, tall, capped fungal woods teetering back and forth in the winds.

When this is over, we should have a festival of the Zizz to commemorate our survival.

And maybe a Festival of the Cosmic Serpent to celebrate the brave sage who lost his life for knowledge and for the sake of the gorgons.

And of course two festivals for the Sun, on the winter and summer solstice.

Festivals of the Stars should probably occur when there is some astronomical event, like a favored constellation rising. Possibly once per month if we develop a zodiac.

>Pray
The Entire Sky is replaced with the Blanketing body of the Zizz and it's beak seems to align with the quaint archipelago your people call Home- There is no wind now, there are no clouds, there is no sky, and the rays of the sun, the glow of the moon, and the twinkle of the stars cannot reach your people. There is only the Zizz.

There is however another: The Weeping Sage. Compared to the Zizz he is beyond minuscule: what is a single sand flea after all to the surf of the tide? He prays. He prays upon the highest point, on the highest rocky out-crop, on the highest part of the reef, and he prays to anyone who can hear his prayers through the smothering presence of the Zizz's anger.

He prays to the Sun, and the Sun obliges.

The frame of the Zizz's body is spot-lit by a great and powerful expression of sun rays that causes the shadow of the Zizz to extend further upon all visible land. This great beam of light still remains obstructed though by the Zizz's great and all-powerful mass, but the Blind Sage see's his opportunity. Through the noise of the storm, brandishing the golden idols he confiscated from the offerings; he bellows out a mighty, boisterous, and symponic hymn that echoes across the heavens and through the Zizz's feather to commune with these heavenly solar beams and BEND the light so that it twists, arches, and is focused upon the very reefs he stood upon.

The Reefs glow- revealing the submerged skeletal structure below of an ancient and fossilized god. The Blind Seer is used as a medium as his body is disintegrated in the holy benevolent solar light he channeled through himself. The light is then used to project the towering visage of a great, tall, upright being of solar light- his arm extending, the Zizz landing on it like a tamed Falcon.

The Light offers the Boats as delicious morsels to the Zizz. The Zizz is indeed pleased- It's cry shaking the very world before it slowly flies off satisfied. The light wanes. Normality returns.

It takes a few weeks before the Zizz is completely out of sight.. and then and only then do your people find it appropriate to celebrate their not only survival, but the absolute glorious event they had witnessed.
As per tradition: Food is laid out, Drink is served, Elephants and Triceratops and all manner of fish and fruit are all baked and cooked up, music is played, and even a few spirits join in on the celebration.

Though, due to the nature of your peoples survival: A portion of all the proceeds and celebration is focused specifically on the Sun and it's personal efforts in the manner..... There is less drunken shenanigans for sure, but this does not stop your people from rampant indiscriminate celebratory fucking.

Times moves on however and even though the Zizz has been gone for a while now- people still occasionally pass by remains or evidence of it's passing. One such piece is Glass. Glass is an unusual, beautiful, green clear substance that was produce by the lightning from the Zizz striking a few of the beaches on the various islands. People have begun to collect it, and they wonder how it could be reproduced or worked with? Some of your followers of the Solar priesthood also note that Glass has been found at the sight where in the Sun struck golden lightning upon the earth- perhaps it has something to do with heat?

>+Glass "discovered", but not invented

Violence does not come naturally to your people: they are kind, they are casual, they are expressive and very easy going people... but you are also hunters and you are also sportsmen. This didn't lead to an immediate development, but it HAS eventually lead to more sophisticated hand to hand combat techniques: wrestling, punching, blocks, kicks.. Whats more interesting however is a lot of your "outdoorsy" communities have begun to establish better uses of cover and a greater feel for forested environments: better use of cover, reading the land, hiding themselves despite their large size.

>Guerrilla Tactics invented.
>Despite your people's large size compared to other species- you've spent so long living amongst the jungle and the undergrowth that you've become QUITE adapt at hiding your footsteps, silencing your movements, and quietly advancing through the brush without being seen or heard. Its one thing to have a tenuous peace agreement when we can socialize and talk or at the very least begrudgingly accept eachother's right to exist, its a whole other thing when we CAN'T see them, when we Don't know what they're doing, and worse yet when they aren't super eager to be peaceful themselves.

>Complete Failure. +overwhelming Census. -No cultural motivation
>Minor Failure.

Although there are numerous inland villages and even your "capital" city of sorts resides inland on your home island- Roads still remain mostly dirt. Travelling Geomancers and the occasional sage when they have the time do keep the roads clear, smooth, and free of debris and pointy objects, but beyond a partial line of broken stones dotting it's outline- No one is particularly interested in further advancing them.

>Your people lack the cultural or developmental motivation for roads: You don't have carts or wagons and grass is a lot softer on your big footsies anyway. Roads remain unpopular beyond a "guideline" to remote villages or shrines.

The Shallow Ocean waters of the reefs have honestly always been frequented quite regularly by both your Fishermen and even the nomadic vagabond Cyclops who continue to lives on the outskirts of society. The Reefs are where you catch most of your fish, where you harvest ammonites, and where you collect your corals to make your works of Art.

Though, The mysteries of the deep have begun to intrigue some of your people and the call of the depths beckons them further. Further Exploration of the Reefs and even going beyond- closer into the boundaries of the DEEP ocean reveal even LARGER and more intricate Corals with hollowed out crevices, nooks, and crannies that are far too small for a cyclops to enter, but appear to have pockets of air on the inside. The large corals also host numerous forests of Kelp that grow organize and adjacent to them- your people are keen to avoid them for risk of entanglement. The Strange part though is the piles of shells and bones strewn around these reefs and the fishes reluctance to frequent them despite the choice territory. Mysterious.

A handful of your Craftsmen have become obsessed with the potential surrounding this newly discovered material known as "glass". They Work tirelessly to try and divine it's secret through both mundane and magical venues and eventually they end up briefly confiscating one of the Kilns for experiments. Their first results only end up in ugly round globs of glass that ruin the inside of the kiln, but through time, experimentation, and process they have it:

Primitive Glass. Blown into Orbs, woven and molded and worked through normal hands and at times the magical efforts of pyromancers and geomancers. The end result is a reliable source of Glass pots, Bowls, Mugs, and fine thick glass ware coming in the form of eye-catching greens, blues, and earthy reds.

>Discover the Gorgon's Civilization
>Roll 18/20 Gorgon's counter roll: 1,2,13.
>Success. Gorgons needed 15 to stay hidden.

Just like the forest "civilized" gorgon society has slowly pulled back with it: you haven't traded with them in YEARS and the only sign of them is the constant flow of migration leeching from the woods.

The Council of Sages finds this unacceptable and requests searching parties be direct by Heroes and lead to adventure into the dark recesses of the Forest- and they also make a request that any Gorgons who remember the way home are encouraged to assist in the Cyclopean Efforts towards Diplomacy.

They find them. They find Three of them in fact and what they find is beyond your people's expectations:
Three cities are spotted: They are seemingly walled in by a strange kind of "hanging" fungal wood that surrounds the cities and seem to prevent invasion. The cities all share a few things in common: At the center of each of them is a truly MASSIVE fungal tree where in a massive serpent is carved around the trunk and flows up to the underside of the mushrooms cap. The Entire city's urban development surrounds the single massive Tree and the housing quality improving the closer they are to it- The houses built upon the tree being the most lavished. They also all seem to be connected to one large visibly polluted river that connects and runs through all of them.

>+Cyclopes Culture Shock+
Your people have not been spotted, but they have seen Gorgon culture for themselves and they are disgusted: rampant over-crowding, visible, disgusting, class struggle- gorgons starving in the streets, gorgon prostitutes, gorgons killing, gorgons stealing, gorgons covered in gold, gorgons selling gorgons, gorgons keeping gorgons like livestock. They are repulsed, they are overcome with mixed feelings of superiority and a lust for conquest fueled by their own cultural island biases and traditions.

>Average Success. -Gorgon resentment

One of your Sages wonders what happened to the Elven technology that was confiscated and soon the entire sage council on the mainland community is wondering about it as well. They had largely forgotten about it, but through a spot of detective work they discover...

>-Elven Technology gone to root

The Elven Technology that has been placed within the Monolith for Safe keeping seems to have germinated and taken root: both the ?Log?, the ?Coat?, and the ?underclothing? have all seemed to mold away into an underlying bed of Fungal teal/purple hued growth that has begun sprouting into Saplings of Fungal wood that's collar high to a Cyclopes- with a few visible ferns and smaller, heartier, rubbery fruiting fungal growths rising forth from the gun. Most of the equipment has overgrown and germinated beyond proper identification.

When asked why no one had noticed this sooner all the Sages -in between sips of fermented fruit juice- agree that they had simply thought that had been always growing there. They do however agree that it does tie together the Shrine quite nicely.

One of your Sages wishes to study it, but too many are eager to see it go: A handful of them clap their hands, utter a quick hymn, extend their open palms, and incinerate the entire growth to ash with a quick, sharp, song.

Both your Sages and your Craftsmen wonder upon the implications of a way to CONTAIN a song WITHIN an object so that it could do the magic itself.... Much Drinking and pontification is had, but they think they're on to something.

>Send in "Missionaries" lead in by Heroes to open up discussion between the Gorgon civilization and spread spiritual awareness.
>Roll 74/100 Gorgon Counter roll: 65
>Gorgon needed 80, Cyclops Success. +Spiritual Culture. +Immigration.

Parties of Missionaries and wellwishers armed with Gold and Iron mediums, Songs, Flowers, and gifts come slowly presenting themselves before the Gorgon Cities.
The Gorgon Watchers armed with Visors atop the hanging Walls spot the parties- Their snakes rattle, they breath, and they try that concentrated "flash". When it does nothing- they proceed to enter into hysterics. EVENTUALLY diplomacy is finally established: The parties are not allowed in all three of the cities, some are simply forbidden from entering- but are allowed to stay outside and "Preach to the garbage and shit that we throw outside the city walls."

ONE party however is welcomed into their city and not only that but lead directly to the arched entrance of the Cities main temple. There, they are.. seated outside (as they cannot fit inside any buildings) and out onto the porch of the temple is a host of the cities most powerful priestesses and... A mysterious, tall, impossibly slim individual unlike you've ever seen before- Long ears, wide-eyed, pale almost luminescent skin, wearing living, breathing, flowing robes of fungal-growth displaying dazzling colours.. The Head Gorgon priestess is summoned- her beauty and petty'ness are equally beyond compare.

Your "group of squatting savages" is welcomed and instructed to provide a customary tribute: The only thing they don't snub is the gold, everything else is turned away or thrown away- especially the flowers, which they find disgusting. They in return display a show of force, through demonstrating their "divine magics".

The Gorgon Priestess show off... honestly a quite underwhelming display of magic:
They raise their hands forth and force the Fungi lining the entrance of their Temple to shed colourful spores to set the mood. They then produce forth a small light show of embers of techni-coloured supported and focused on the palms of their hands- further manipulated to dance and display within the air.
Their final act: Summoning Forth Earthen bowls from the court yard and condensating them filled with pure clean water for their "unworthy guests to lap up." Extremely Satisfied with themselves they sit back down upon their knees- The High priestess going back inside the temple, sure you can display nothing of significance. The "Elf" remains silent.

Your Cyclopes look to one another a little confused. The Elf stands up and all the Gorgons go silent, "would you.. like to show us your Magics?"

Your Cyclopes brandish the Iron and Golden mediums and begin a most powerful and spiritual hymn- one that is old, but they still remember in their collective dreams: The Fungal growth leans, the winds blow, the Gorgon Acolytes and servant girls begin to faint one at a time, the Elven emissary is at the edge of it's seat. A great, deep, primeval hum drums beckons the city and the Canopy of fungal wood surrounding the city leans over to provide a moon-light spotlight before the temple at the base of the great center fungal tree.
The Great Tree's serpent carving slowly starts to glow from the base up- progressively getting brighter and brighter before the visible luminscount of the cosmic serpents ethereal body lights up the city sky like constellations.

The Emissaries calm down their Hymn, "just a taste" they say as they catch their breath- visibly sweating. The Elf gives a standing ovation, "Marvelous, inspired, truly remarkable". Half of the gorgon High priestesses are unconscious, one is visibly aroused- The Head priestess is crying.

Okay... thats actually troubling. Mostly cause the elf isn't fainting from our power like all the gorgons.

MEANWHILE.

The other two Cyclopean emissary groups- squatting outside the city walls of the corrupt and bureaucratic Gorgon cities.. spend most of their time offering basic humanitarian relief efforts while singing supporting and boisterous hymns and choruses that nourish the soul and strengthen the heart to the growing scores of impoverished and lower class Gorgons crowding them.

Pure, Clean, water is offered upon an endless magical tap provided by effortless poems to Water. Food, Dried goods, and strange island fruits are gleefully consumed, and simple, basic, medical assistance is offered. Numerous followers are taken in- mostly Mothers, Children, Elderly, Outcasts.. and for some reason seemingly ordinary Gorgons deemed as "ugly"?

Gorgons are becoming more than a minority now. I suppose that's a good thing.

But we should probably establish another colony somewhere along the mainland.
>>

>>
>>36886364
Really? I was thinking of moving further north. See if there is a stretch of Mainland that isn't covered by fungal Forests.
>>
Would anyone else get behind the idea of communing with the great serpent again and asking her to let gorgons and cyclops interbreed?
>>
>>36886364
Maybe see what's south of the reefs? Explore the eastern mainland until we get out of the fungal forest.
>>
>>36886396
Yes.

That's been my plan for a while. The gorgons and cyclops must be made whole.

We probably should construct a monument for the great serpent in preparation for this. We've already proved ourselves to have nothing but selfless love for the Gorgons.
>>
>>36886210

>Total population: 1330(1200 Gorgon)
With so many gorgons among cyclops, there should be reflections of their culture. What kind of behavior do the gorgons display among themselves?

Have they got strengths cyclops do not have that could benefit the whole civ? Do they have knowledge/know-how that they're willing to give us?

I mean, for example, if their civ had mastered the use of poisons and gave us that info, maybe we could research something related but still within our culture, like holistic medicine.

>Current Population: 1330(1200 Gorgon) (2 City, 24 villages, 4 islands, 33 heroes)
>Culture and Art: Your people wear fine woven clothing dyed in rich black and red mineral dyes, leather shoes, and various ivory, horn, and shell jewelry. They worship a pantheon of Celestial bodies with a casual respect towards elemental spirits and saints. Two Holidays are observed: The Spirit Festival and the Suns giving. Soccer has become a popular past time.
>The People: Your people organize themselves into casual and extended family with communities formally lead by a Magocracy council of Cyclops Sages and a few Gorgons.
>Technology: Your people use a variety of Iron tools; Clay, Glass, and Iron products are all produced. Homes possess stone foundations (Stone working and Masonry being quite adapt), wooden or bamboo frames, and dried woven grass walling and roofs. Communal education and Bamboo scrolls are widespread as is your people knowledge of Math, Astronomy, and rudimentary natural sciences. Herbal remedies are relied upon for medicine.
>Magic: (121 "Sages".) Elemental Magical practices are quite widespread as is the use of Megalithic structures and Iron/Gold as mediums for magics. Divine and Arcane Magics remain rudimentary.
>Food: Adequate.

>Did the Head priestess join us... Or at least stop acting arrogant towards us?
No, she suffered a mild break down because a bunch of no-name, partially naked, backwards bumble-fuck savages were able to commune with their "patron god" so seemingly effortlessly.

She currently doesn't know what to do with herself and is questioning everything: from what she's been raised to believe, her society, the elves, everything. Her tale may end in self-loathing, alcoholism, and suicide if she doesn't find new purpose or meaning to her life.

>>36886792
>How friendly are we with the local elementals?
We're on a casual talking/communing basis. During the annual elemental celebration we all get together to eat, drink, party, and fuck. Beyond that though we don't/can't really live or marry one another anymore than you can an open flame or the tide.

>>36886824
>What are the gorgon minority communities like?
They older generations are seamless additions to Cyclopean Culture. They're still very sensitive to magic, but they still fit right in.. though they haven't made the leap to moving to the "island" communities.
>Are they developing their own unique culture, separate from the Gorgon Queendom?
It's a little hit or miss- they've made excellent crafts women, huntressess, herders, farmers, fisherwomen, and ratters- which are jobs they usually wouldn't WILLINGLY take in Gorgon society. A lot of them though are just overwhelmed they're allowed to raise their own children and have spouses/sex whenever they want.

That sounds terrible. I hope we remember to work with her next time to fix her community.
>>
>>36886993
Its like a weird combo between arabic and roman numerals. In base 5, which makes some sense considering they're counting on their fingers up until this point.

You go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, then 5 and 1, 5 and 2, 5 and 3... Its even signified by the language. You combine the sounds to make the bigger numbers. after 10 it gets to be counting tens. Ish-om=two 10s, ngom= five 10's etc.
I'm not sure if we've conceptualized zero yet.. or parts of a whole.

>>
>>36887291
What?
>>
>>36887205
Nah, we should get some morality in our community rather than hedonism.

Hedonism spreads sexual disease. I don't think there's any practical reason to disallow homosexuality, but there's a number of practical reasons for monogamy.

>>
>>36887343
>>36887205
If we do it right we could have "spiritual" hedonism. That way not only does it sjow our appreciation for the gods but empower us
>>
>>36887448
True. When your society has up until that point been allowed to screw however many people they want and then suddenly told "No" you can't do that because of something nebulous (at this point in time) as STDs you'll get some pushback. Plus we do apparently organize into families, I just dunno if we do the weird "How many quarters are you" of your father/mothers?

Gilgamesh was One third god, two thirds human, since his dad and some god (can't remember which) were both his dad to his mortal mom.
