The story so far…

You are Grey, a young man of 18 years and Pokemon trainer-hopeful. You are currently on your Tour of the Southern Shores Region: catching Pokemon, collecting six badges, hopefully placing for the end of season tournament, etc. You have a team of seven Pokemon including your most recent catch, a Scyther. While catching said Scyther one of your two traveling companions, Erica, struck out on her own in order to challenge the gym at Jay City. You and Dani, your other companion and girlfriend, plan to make it to Jay City, challenge the gym, and reunite with Erica very soon.

Otherwise, your mind is occupied with unsolved mysteries: are you set to be involved in some deep conspiracy involving Professor Pine? Who, or what, is the mysterious Voice that haunts your dreams? How is it able to seemingly manipulate time itself? Why is it so interested in you?

Let’s continue this adventure in search for answers to these questions and more, in Pokemon: Southern Shores Quest!

It’s a cold, wet morning. A morning of fog-glazed views and curling up in blankets, mud-caked boots and warm breakfasts. Unfortunately, you’ve spent the last few hours trying to escape visions of a twisted dream; some sort of prophetic-bullshit mixed with philosophical quandaries. It didn’t exactly make for a restful night or a relaxed morning, really, and finding out that your Starter and dear friend, Mittens, was also affected only worsened your mood.

Eventually, your ever-faithful girlfriend ticked into some fussy slippers and hunted you down. Dani was under the impression that it was her fault that you deserted the bedroom. You quickly assured her otherwise, swearing that it was just “a very, very bad dream” and hugging her closely.

Yay it happening woo! Pokémon SSQ!

The sight of a drenched, angry young man desperately hugging and then lifting a sleepy, pajama-clad young woman must have been quite a sight for anyone up and about. Dani’s kicking and giggling as her feet left the ground was enough to spur the two of you into a bit of making-up, which lifted your spirits tremendously and helped you to better see that dwelling on whatever was affecting you would never fix the problem.

Breakfast, however? Well, food always makes everything better in your experience. Settling into the dining hall and digging into some warm chow while cuddling with Dani was just the transition you needed from your frustrating, murky morning. The affair was uneventful for the most part, but Nick showed up towards the end. He must have been too tired to give anyone a hard time, which was a nice change, but his mood was exceptionally sour. Math swung around to give a sort of “good-bye,” offering up his contact info, surprisingly, as a second thought.

Well, it's just us so far, Anon.

So, uh.... how's your sex life?
Excited about the upcoming Gym match?
>>
>>36836966
Seems like you did post in twitter right?

My sex life is non-existent
Yes I am very excited for the gym match.
>>

Seconding this
>>
>>36836985
I did, indeed, post it to Twitter.

If we don't get many people in here it's either going to be you steering the ship alone or... I might switch perspectives or something. We'll see.

Some discussion topics for us in the meantime:

1) Any pokemon you, anon, want to see or learn more about in this setting?
2) Any biomes/environments/habitats you would like to see or are curious about?
3) Any questions on the cities and municipalities?
4) Interests in contests or pokemovies or someshit?
5) Happy holidays and all that!

>>36837061
Ah! A new face!
>>
>>36837070
1) Well the charmander line has always been a favorite of mine, and I am a real big fan of Dragon looking dragons. so those.

2) Honestly watching the city mons interplay would be very neat all thing considered.

3)How big are the cities, are there unique things in their culture or remembered history that shapes them?

4) Honestly I could see Dani going for one or several of those things and convincing Grey to join in. On his own it'd be meh unless someone made it worth his while. Maybe Mittens wanting to show off for contests or something.

5) Merry Christmas to you as well Herald

>>36837061
Yay another anon, may there be more of us coming.
>>
>>36837070
1) I'm a big fan of the classic 150 or so pokemon, so yeah a charmander or grimer or something would be good
2) On the map it looks like we've got a coast so maybe spend some time on the beach or on an island
3) Are there any pokemon-based industries besides fighting? Like helping with transport or mountain rescue or something?
4) Non-battle stuff like obstacacle courses or using pokemon abilities to solve unusual problems to show how good we are with them.
5) Merry Christmas

And hey, you were kind enough to play in my quest, figured I'd return the favor
>>
Gonna write up an update real quick, thanks for the responses! Always good to know my audience better.

I had very much planned for exploring urban environments a bit more, so hurrah! Wasn't seeing any interests for beaches, though, but there's a sort of estuary/bay/beach area right next to Jay City. We can definitely explore that a bit.

More non-fighting interactions are on the drawing board too! Good to see people keeping that in mind. I could also see Dani or Mittens interested in stuff like that.
>>
>>36837580
I'd really like to see an Eevee myself, if not a Jolteon.

I'd also like to discover more of the Pokemon world's dark past, and delve into the mysteries of clones.
>>
Speaking of pokemon we want to see, what fossil pokemon do you have planned eventually?
I've always been fond of Kabuto/Kabutops.

“Hey, Dani?”

Your girlfriend stops eating her scrambled eggs mid-shovel with an “hmwhphasup,” lips closed tight around her fork and wide eyes darting up to look at you.

“I’m gonna go check on Nick real quick; see what his plans are and stuff.” Dani swallows the mouthful of eggs before nodding and giving a thumbs up. You smile at her and rise from your seat at the table.

“I’ll be right back.”

You march on over; like Dani, Nick is still in his pajamas. He's not wearing pink Buneary slippers, though, so your guess is that he forget them upstairs, Jokes aside, Nick doesn't look too hot. He's sitting by himself save Sonny, his Turtwig, who is busy resting in a large clay pot full of dirt and chewing on some sort of jerky or something. They both have a look of exhaustion to them.

You knock on the table a few times to wake him up, and then wave with a good-natured smile. The blonde doesn’t react to your presence so much as give out a tired grunt of annoyance.

“Yeah, good to see you too Sunshine.” You pull out the chair opposite him by the plastic back and then take a seat. Nick continues to angrily ignore you. “Are you coming with me to Jay City, Nick? Or are you traveling alone?”

He shrugs and then nods his head a bit; you figure that's a "yes."

Nick’s posture is slouched, his eyes haggard. His focus is on his cereal, and he’s stirring it around more than eating it. Odd. “Hey man, what’s got your boxers in a bunch? I mean as in ‘more than usual.’ Didn’t sleep well?”

Another grunt, but this time he follows it with a “yeah, somethinglikethat...” You note that his voice is scratchy, as if he went without water for a while or caught a cold. “Jus’ome bad dreams’r some shit… Y’know… didn’t sleep just’rained. Sonny's t' tired one...”

>This sounds like a “drink some coffee and talk about it later” shit.

I've been getting messed up dreams as well, what're yours about?

Getting them too exhausted actually weakens them in the long run man.

>>
>>36837742
>Press him for details.
"Oh shit, you too? Were you also visited by some super mysterious powerful being that can manipulate time?"
>>
>>36837742

“Alright, well…” you crack your neck, hand following that well-worn path of a nervous tick around the side of your head. There’s no necessity to it, just a desire to fill the silence hanging between the two of you.

Asking about the dreams could be weird. Asking about the dreams could just end up to be nothing, and you’re not sure if you consider “nothing” or “we’ve been visited by the same god-like being!” to be scarier. Then there’s the matter of this all-night training: if you press too hard about the training Nick is going to get defensive, and you don’t want that.

You can picture his team, struggling through the paces and exhausted beyond reason. You can imagine the resentment towards Nick; it’s the same flavor as your resentment towards your instructors. Bitter, with a tinge of resentment.

You silently wonder, "why do I even care? Nick tends to be a dick, right?" Nothing clear and immediate comes to mind.

You must have a soft spot for guys that are assholes; a little thought, “Nick reminds you,” floats on through your attention and you shoot it dead. You chalk it up to a masochistic tendency, and curiosity and concern provide reason enough to ask without some sort of twisted nostalgia.

“You had dreams on, uh, aliens or something? Some sort of weird shit like me? I couldn’t sleep well either.” You watch as Nick furrows his brow at his cereal before settling his bloodshot eyes on you. His vision darts about and his eyes narrow; you see that expression when someone needs something, desperately looking for some sort of answer or reason that isn’t there. You cut it short, asking about his decision to train and, most likely, push his team too far.

“They’ll be fine; you wouldn’t understand…” His attention returns to his cereal; cold, soggy lumps at this point, he digs into it anyways. A simple “I don’t want to talk about it could have sufficed.”

>cont.
>>
>>36838149

“Well, if you want them to be stronger that isn’t the way to go about it, Nick.” Another grunt. “Fine, whatever. See you at the front desk in an hour or so: we’re heading out.”

>>>>

Basic chores and duties aside, you text Erica and the Professor both. Your first message asks after your friend’s health and success at the gym. The second message mentions coming into the city soon and possibly going for a hike.

Erica responds back quickly enough, saying that she finished the challenge last night and that it was “crazy; the gym leader’s insane,” and that “it wasn’t too hard, just watch out for his tricks and be smart.” You ask for a couple more details, and she says that apparently it's different between the sorts ("ofc, right? lol!") but hers involved traversing an underwater obstacle course while keeping these "balloon-things safe" ("from being popped by leader's crap which was tough ;__;"). Apparently she wore a breathing apparatus and her terrestrial 'mons did the same. Dr. Claw carried the team.

After that initial challenge a proper gym battle followed, with Erica getting to use a 'mon for each balloon she saved. Interesting.

There’s no response from the Professor by the time you’re ready to head out.

Oh god, It feels so awkward typing this
>>

The morning turns into a dance of preparation for the day ahead. Mindful of your time in the city, you ask Dani about maybe going for a date after you get settled. Neither of you are scheduled for the gym until Saturday so there’s plenty of time either tonight or tomorrow on Friday.

Dani agrees, saying that going out for dinner or just enjoying the sights together would be fantastic. You note that her steps have become lighter and smiles more frequent after that conversation which, in turn, makes you happier as a result.

The two of you do a thorough check-over for a final time and then decide that, yes, you’re ready to head out. You each bought a couple potions to share between the two of you (just in case), leaving with a solid-enough chunk of money to spend until you get your allowance from the gym.

Nick files into the lobby of the MedCenter eventually. His eyes aren’t as puffy now that he’s had some coffee. He's a bit brighter inside and out (as bright as he can get) and he’s even speaking in full sentences now! There's a point when he tells you that he Nurse’d his team, getting them closer to tip-top shape in a fraction of the time, and quietly mumbles “I probably won’t do that again; they deserve to rest normally.”

You nod, and Dani smiles at the two of you. You set off into the forest and East, back to Jay City.

>>>>

Moving from the Main Ranger Station to Jay City is a simple affair: there’s a well-maintained road for you to follow, so your progress is much faster than your initial trek into the wilds a few days ago. There’s not much traffic, and you only spot a few Pokemon in the various copses and sections of trees.

Along the way you make some conversation with your girlfriend, focusing less on the Tour and more on personal matters.

You ask Dani about…

Having Dani’s fingers wrapped up in yours is a jump-start for your body: faster beating, a feeling of airiness, and you get this mile-wide smile. She’s to your left; a sun-ray taken form, a comet soaring through your thoughts at miles-a-minute, this awesome-girl-fuck-youlovehersomuch! And, to your right? Your dear, dear Starter and friend: Mittens. The not-as-little Espurr has grown so much, and you love Mittens as dearly as you love Erica. Both of them are priceless for you, and you tell them that quietly.

Erica blushes, and Mittens just purrs happily. A little mental “Mittens love TrainerGrey too!” flits into your mind.

“That said,” you begin, “I want to know more about both of you. Let’s start with Dani: Dani, my beautiful girlfriend...” Nick makes a retching sound behind you.

“Shut up, Nick." You turn back to the prettier of the two blondes. "Dani, what were your favorite things to do growing up?” She muses on that for a little bit, hmm’ing past the backpack-cord clenched between her teeth.

“Well, I liked watching wrestling. I used to read a lot on the internet, too. Little novels and stories you would find on image boards, you know?" She scrunches up her nose and mouth, perhaps thinking on a funny or odd memory. "But, yeah, I really like reading, now that I think about it… I used to cook a lot, too. I’d sneak into the kitchen when nobody was around and make random things in the cookbooks. I’m lucky I’m not fatter!”

“Ooh, also: the StanFaH was out of the city, yeah? Like, way-way out there! Walking to school was always a bitch.” Dani chuckles to herself. “Okay, I guess I remember why I’m not fat, now. Walk uphills both way and all! Uh, anyways…” She goes quiet at that.

"Uh, where was I again?"

>cont.
>>
>>36839512

Her little tangents always have this pause afterwards, but watching her try and catch back up to her mental train is cute. She always bites her lip a little, and scrunches up her left eye a bit. Any second, now... Ah, she found her thoughts again!

“Oh, yeah! Anyways, because we were so far out I could see lots of stars. Counting off the constellations would help me fall asleep; I even used to make up some of my own.” A nostalgic, warm posture spreads through her body as she recalls happy nights tucked into bed.

“Little moments of my own time, in my own safe space… Reading about tragic lovers, War Stories, Poochyena Jones mystery books... Those times were the best, back then.”

“What about you, Grey?”

>There was this spot I would always escape to… (Where?)
>I would lose myself in the internet. Not like that!
>I’d hang out at this café down the street; owner was real nice. Best place to escape my house for a few minutes.

“Well, you know… I didn’t really do much. Had a pretty miserable time, bullshit bullshit, yadda yadda.” You sigh a bit, thoughts and memories rolling around inside like a Rotom-W set to “spin cycle.” In that mess, though, are better times; the times when you were happy, free, and probably on your own. Also, not the times when you were glued to the internet, "researching."

“Ohshit! The café!” Dani and Mittens both look at you, Mittens asking after this “café” mentally and Dani doing so aloud. “Yeah, I used to go by this café down the street whenever I needed a moment out of the house or something."

"The owner, Terrence, was real nice. He would chat me up sometimes and even throw in a free coffee if it was cold or particularly late. Sometimes I would stay past closing, and he would always stick around to talk to me about, well, anything.” You miss Terrence; he moved out West not too long back and you haven’t heard from him since. You hope he’s doing well.

Dani runs a kind hand slowly up and down your shoulder. You smile at her, and then at the Espurr nuzzling into your hand. Do you really appear that emotionally fragile, or something? Your smile turns downward a bit, but you realize something: they just care about you. That’s all.

After a bit Dani starts back up again, this time talking about the people she lived with. She mentions a Peter, and you know from previous conversations that Peter must have been a close friend to her. She never says exactly what their relationship was or what happened to him, though. She also mentions an Ellen and a Mary relatively fondly.

You piece together that they were staff at the Facility, and a Mr. Mayburr must have been some sort of administrator with a hot-cold temper.

You bring Nick into the conversation, trying to get a bit about his time in the Northeast out of him; the image of a Sharpedo in a dentist’s office comes to mind, because seriously he’s tighter than a Cloyster on a saucepan when it comes to his life.

With time and a struggle, you gather that his parents were nice enough and always tried to give him the best, but something kept them down and miserable. You have a feeling that the “tough streets” Nick mentioned before have to do with it.

Still, the whole thing mystifies you a bit. People are mostly taken care of in this day and age; government assistance covers the necessities, and there’s plenty of work for everyone… And why did Nick dodge the topic of his parents so much? You put that aside as a topic for another time.

>>>>

The three of you are nearing Jay City, and you made a point to cycle through your team in an effort to get them all some exercise and attention. Your Scyther (you really need to name him soon) was calm and obedient enough when you had him out.

Seems that time in the ball and visiting with him as helped. To that end, you practice basic commands with him and tossing him treats to chase after in the bush. His senses are very keen, and he’s able to find pieces of meat even when chucked into the underbrush.

The walk is relaxing and invigorating, but relatively uneventful until, at about the same time, you and Nick both point out a crowd of trainers cheering and chattering. Dani seems a bit interested as well, so you ask if you can investigate. Nick and Dani both readily agree.

As you get closer you begin to make out some sort of fight going on. Pokemon battles are kind of your thing, and you haven’t seen many other trainers’ battles yet; this may be a good start. You and Nick push into the crowd.

There’s a young man, darker complexion and taller than you, with his shirt off in the middle of the “ring.” Opposite him is a Pancham, fists raised and face set into a fierce, menacing leer. By the size, shape, and fatigue you’d guess that this is very young Pancham by the looks of it.

You turn to Nick, motioning towards the two in the center of the ring. They’re circling each other, but “where’s the other Pokemon, Nick? You see anything?” He shakes his head. You shrug and turn back to look when

SMACK.

The trainer moves towards the Pancham, feinting with his left fist before punching it solidly with his right. The Pokemon takes the hit hard, staggering onto the ground. You watch it try to blink away the pain and the reeling of its head to no avail. It gets back into a shaky stance, fists wavering, before being smacked back down again. The hell?

This goes on for a few more exchanges, and every time the Pancham gets back to its feet. It never manages to get a hit on the young man and after a while the guy starts toying with him: leaning into punching range and then dodging the shaky, slow swings of the 'mon.

Girls and guys alike yell out between punches phrases like "Come on, you damn bear! Hit him!" and "Kick its ass, Tyler!"

You pick up from the chatter and atmosphere that some sort of betting was going on.

>Say something in protest.

You turn to the guy next to you, a young man about your age wearing a cap, shades, and some comfy-looking shorts. As amusing as it is watching him shake his trainer card and yell expletives at the scene, you’re curious about what exactly is going on. You nudge your elbow into him, getting his attention and a “what the FUCK do you want?” for your troubles. Nice, you caught a douchenozzle (or at least his attention)!

“Yeah, nice to meet you,” you try to muster some patience for this guy and focus on what you wanted in the first place: “So what the fuck's this guy’s deal? Whose Pokémon is that?” The guy shrugs a bit, turning back to the fight. For a moment you expect that’s the end of it but then he starts shouting over the crowd at you, eyes still glued to the scene.

'“It’s still a wild ‘Mon, man. At least that’s what someone said. I got here late, guy was ‘ready beating the shiggity-shit outta the thing." That... That's a new expression to you. Shiggity-shit? Really?

"Something about him and his group finding the mom dead, and then another group came by. People start arguing and shit about what to do with the little fucker and then this guy bets someone he can kick its ass in a fight." Okay, that sounds... kinda stupid. Granted, you're the guy that fought off a Scyther with a chainsaw, but...

"Yeah, so Someone calls him on it, and…” Another shrug, and then your informant screams another curse as the Pancham goes down again. This time? It doesn’t get up. “Yeah, so I guess the guy wins the bet ‘cuz he beat the crap outta a shitty ‘mon.”

You watch as the scene deflates and eventually descends into cursing, money trading cards, and eventually some dispersal. The guy towels himself off with his shirt before - the fuck? He kicked the thing, and now he's walking off.

You turn to Nick, who's just kinda watching the whole scene with an steeled gaze. Dani looks crestfallen, and pretty angry.

Tyler joins up with three other Sorties, or at least what you imagine them to be, and starts celebrating his victory. You look back to the Pancham, weak and unmoving; hell, you’re not even sure if it’s breathing at this point. You walk over quickly, pushing aside a girl in the middle of taking a self-shot next to its still, bloody form. Yeah, she can go suck off a Magmar, and you tell her such. It earns you a “fuck you!” and some muttering in response but you’re too busy looking over the wild ‘Mon to care.

You’re just done looking at what may be a collapsed rib when Dani comes to your side.

“How bad is he, Grey?” She’s already rummaging through her pack for “one of the potions,” you just bought, asking “if it is okay to use it this time.”

You make no move to stop her but instead encourage her, saying that you’ll bandage a particularly bad spot above its left eye. Just bought supplies or not, this little guy needs it.

“He's bad, Dani. I mean... I think you can see that for yourself. Sorry, it's just he's almost dead!" You lean back onto your heels, hand going through your hair; you shake your head in disbelief. Why would someone do this and then not even catch it?

"Shit, I mean… I’d be doubtful this guy is even still with us if he wasn’t breathing. Fuck.” At that you hear a long, angry sigh. There's a red light on the Pancham and when you look up Dani is holding a Pokeball, pointing it at the bear while silently crying a bit. You remain silent as she taps the ball to its side. It disappears in a flash of light.

Dani slams the now-used potion down next to you, and then you watch as she rises to her feet. Her fists are clenched, eyes shut. You wouldn’t want to be Tyler now.

My name is Dani, 2795 and you know what? Fuck some people.

I walk over to the guy who decided to be the “big, impressive hero” by beating up a baby Pokémon. I’m mad, boiling mad, and there’s only one way to cure that right now: lots and lots of violence.

“Hey bitchstick!” I tap him on the shoulder. He’s sweaty, and I kind of regret touching him now…

He turns, his “oh, I’m so awesome yay!” little smirk replaced with a stupid, confused expression. He looks at me, asks “what the hell you say?” and I repeat it for him. Maybe the stupid makes it hard to hear?

“I said, ‘hey, bitchstick’ because you’re a little bitch that thinks it’s cool to beat the crap out of infants!”

“Now listen the fuck up, little gir-“

“Oh no, you listen the fuck up!”

I don't normally get to say this kind of thing, so I take advantage of it: “I challenge you to a fist fight, you bitch!”

Aw, yeah. That felt good. I just hope Grey doesn't think worse of me! Oh, well: omelette and eggs and allthat.

I back up a few paces and square myself. Feet firmly to the ground; wrists straight; fists up and shoulder rolled over like I learned in class.

The guy, Tyler (whatever,) just kind of stares at me for a few seconds, hands on his hips. Then he smiles; I picture my fist shattering those teeth.

“I know, I know, a’right? I know you are not about to challenge me to a fistfight after I just decimated that Pancham right there, at that very spot.” His pointing becomes insistent when I don’t initially look. I just shake my head and refresh my stance. “Go ahead and look at the blood stains over there before you make me kick your ass, little girl.”

I’ve had enough of this guy’s trash-talking. This is beyond old. “I’m not a little girl, ass wipe. I’m a woman that’s gonna kick your ass, and beating up an infant Pancham doesn’t change that.”

He starts laughing again before falling into a loose stance. “A’right, a’right. If that’s the way you want to ‘play’ I’ll lay you out real quick.”

Who's playing? I start moving forward, body and feet light, eyes on his ugly-ass face. He turns away so he can consult with his groupies about how “you guys are my witnesses, a’right? Cause when I hurt h-“

>71 v 56

Yeah, that first punch to his solar plexus shut him up real quick. He crumples half-way, one hand to his stomach and the other going to his knees. I push him over and he falls on his ass. He starts mumbling and cursing, insulting my mother or something. Joke’s on him: I don’t have a mother. And if I did? She’d probably be able to kick his ass too.

He gets up, moving at me in a sort of sloppy tackle.

>Dodge, elbow drop.
>Face? Meet my fist.

His foot meets the ground, and Tyler actually manages to get some speed going. I back up another pace, square my feet and shoulders and count off: one, two, three. Tyler’s coming up on me fast, right arm cocked back for some sort of sloppy haymaker, which is great: he’s wide open. I bend my legs, flex, and push. My body strains against gravity, and then I’m weightless. I tense my upper body and twist, my legs shooting out.

Just to make it all the sweeter, I add in a Pro-Wrestling line.

“I’LL PUT HIS PAIN,” my body is burning with a hot tension, muscles gunning at full. I'm going to dropkick this guy's ribs in and send him straight to the nearest MedCenter.

The balls of my feet make contact with his chest and Tyler’s momentum is arrested.

“IN YOUR SOUL!”

The sound of my feet hitting his chest and the resultant wind getting knocked out of Tyler’s lungs is like a beautiful symphony made especially for me. Damn that was good- Oh, shit. Gravity.

I have to catch myself as I hit the ground. Tyler hits it a lot harder, though. Quickly, I get onto my knees, my lungs burning and heart racing. I didn’t realize it but I had been holding my breath that whole time. Whatever, that fucker got what he deserved-

“Whatthefuck!” My vision is replaced by searing pain, flashing lights, and then darkness as I claw at my eyes. That mother-fucking ass-wipe threw sand in my eyes! I fall onto my knees, screaming out in spite of myself as I hold my hands to my face. Holy shit, this hurts like a bitch!

“T-That-that’s r-right, you b-bitch.” I can hear Tyler get up with difficulty. His breathing’s heavy, like mine. Oh hell I am in such pain. “Fuck you, you bi-bitch!”

I grunt and yell out again, this time directed at Tyler. “You mother-fucking dirty bastard! Iamtotally going to kickyourass!”

Okayy, looks like violence IS the answer this time. The question is, how far are you going here?

>Knock him out in one hit?

Dani’s struggling against pain and frustration; you watch her rub and dig at her eyes before giving up and just sitting there, breathing through clenched teeth. Tyler’s trying to get up, that raging asshole. I’m already three-wuarters of the way to him when he finally spots me, spitting out a “t’fuck you want, fu-“ but before he can say anymore I’ve cuffed him over the head. Silence, and it’s just like Nereid: confusion and obedience. I grab the collar of his shirt and bring his face up to mine.

“It all ended up this way because of you, man. It’s happening, and it’s all your fault. This is the future you chose.”

“W-what the hell do you mean?”

The only answer he’s getting is my fist to his jaw. He’s knocked out, and I leave him there on the ground. Turns out those groupies he was hanging with weren’t much in the way of friends, because they’ve just split and left completely except for one guy. No skin off your back.

You settle in next to Dani with a comforting, soft grip on each shoulder. You tell her it’s going to be okay, you’ll help her out. You just need some water.

A water bottle is shoved into your face, and you follow the hand holding it up to Nick. “Here.” You thank him and then set to work helping Dani. In the background you hear Nick yelling out orders at the groupie that’s still around, telling him to get Tyler “under control, and be grateful his punk ass wasn’t beaten up worse for fighting dirty.” Dani mutters something similar, and you agree. You try to keep her in high enough spirits. Once most of the pain subsides and her vision starts to return it gets easier. Then you switch to hugs, kisses, and compliments on her drop kick.

>Wrapping up for the night, everyone! Let’s get a couple more updates before 10?

>Anything you guys want to do in particular regarding the fight, Dani, Nick, Tyler, etc.?
>>
>>36845362

Hug Dani tell her she's great for sticking to her guns against that asshole and she totally had his punk ass. Thank Nick for helping out and handling the situation with the groupies, he has a calmer head than we did. If tyler wakes up tell him next time he tries to beat up someone helpless or fight dirty, he'll have to deal with us and Dani bless her sweet heart is so much more kind to her opponents than we are. WE fought a scythe in melee, he wouldn't like us mad at him.
