Then Emilio tosses her the balloon-ball and the game is on! I guess she figured out the rules to this a while back and Valerie already knows them, the general idea is that Inaba tries to push the balloon past whoever's standing nearest to her and that counts as a "win" for her. Whenever one of us (gently) kicks the balloon away, the bunny scrambles to reclaim her toy and then she immediately rushes towards whoever the balloon travelled closest to.

I have no idea how she understands the rules, she's just a bunny and this crap's too complicated for some people to pick up quickly.

But whatever, it's kind of fun and seeing Emilio run around while trying to keep the bunny from passing him is cute as hell.

Racquel makes her way back over to where she was sitting before... but then she takes a detour over to Rana, who it seems has had enough swimming in ice-cold water for one day. While Rana dries herself off (knowing her, I doubt that she'll be putting her clothes back on before we leave), Racquel ogles her for a little while before returning to her book.

It's kind of sad that she has more selfcontrol about that thing than Emilio does...

Though we may have lost a player, the bunny game continues for a little while longer, with Emilio being Inaba's favored target to try and run past. This game's kind of dumb but it's still fun and I'm enjoying myself a lot out here.

A shadow zooms overhead, creating a gust of wind that forces me to close my eyes for a few seconds. Once I've wiped my eyes, I look back up and find Rana flying straight towards the incoming... Salamander.

Oh shit.

Salamanders are infamous for how dangerous they are and how it's near-impossible to train them unless you've raised them from an egg. And even if you -are- able to steal one of their eggs without getting roasted by the angry parent monster in the process, the baby's only guaranteed not to eat YOU, there's no guarantee that anyone else is safe from it no matter how well you raised it.

And there's one coming right here.
