My most esteemed colleagues, I have called this meeting to discuss the construction of a new guild hall altogether rather than attempting to repair the old one. I do understand that a great many personal possessions and projects are still within the walls of our old home, and every effort will be made to recover them. The library is of course our first priority, followed by our treasury, artifact storage, and potion stocks. Back to the subject at hand, we all need to contribute ideas, suggestions, requests, demands, and so on and so forth for what we want in the new hall.
>>
Here's the coffee everyone
>>
>>36769858
Greetings. I'm one of the construction mages working on your new building. Is it alright if I sit in with your meeting? I know you settle most matters in these councils, and I'd like to know what my crew will be up against when we start the job.
>>
>>36769858
Well a scrying lab is a must for my classes, I imagine a practiceroom/range would be helpful. Several avults for our gold/magic items/and artifacts would be another must as would an infirmary and a room or several to hold dangerous mages like Ashburn or Jheska or even me should the worst come to pass.

>>36769893
Much obliged Mortimer

>>36769936
You have no idea my friend things will get weird. Always do.
>>
>>36769858
Actully, several of my coffee pots are still in the kitchen. If those could be retrieved I would be most pleased
>>
>>36769936
I don't think anyone's going to complain, probably a good idea to know what you can and can't do. I definitely want a panic room.
>>
>>36769975
Thanks for the warning. I'm sure you won't be any worse than the last evil sorcerer's castle we put up. I mean, you don't feed construction workers to trolls, or anything like that.

... right?
>>
>>36769936
There must be a house located near the back of the grounds. The roof must be 20ft high, with the door being 18 feet high. A smaller door in the big door must be 7 ft high. I think that covers it for me
>>
>>36769858
Well I know it might seem difficult, but I think we should transport the basement of the current guild hall in one piece to where we want the new one. Do you have any idea how many of the sealed spells, creatures and portals we have down there at this point? It's a miracle we don't have some bumbling apprentice breaking one every week. Just imagine what would happen if we left them there when we left.

>>36769893
Ah, thank you Mortimer.
>>
>>36769991
Several knowing you Pierre

>>36770043
No never. Watch the necromancers and fleshwarpers though.
>>
Well, Valflame is still with me, so everything else in my room and office can be retrieved at a leisurely pace. As for the new guild, a better public bath facility would be nice, one for both sexes of course.
Or a better, more fireproofed place for the pyromancy department's training and teachings. Either or really.
>>
>>36769991
Certainly sir. Secret hatches, escape routes, scrying pools to see what's going on outside the room, security wards, impenetrable locks, iron, steel, stone, mithril – whatever you need to ensure your safety.
>>
>>36769936
How sturdy can you make the walls? I've done some calculations lately and my secondary department would probably tear through the old walls like if they were made of paper. So I think I would want some quality walls that can handle focused energy beams, just in case.
>>
I'm here to let you know that a good number of the summoning circles containing certain supernatural powers (For example, moi) have been broken in the old hall. I'm representing a group of spirits looking for enrollment and housing to study magic in.
>>
Good evening everyone, nice to be able to catch a meeting on time for once.

>>36769893
Thank you Mortimer, your coffee is excellent as always.

>>36769975
How are you holding up there Soros?

>>36769858
>>36769991
I can agree with Conspierre on this one, I shudder to think what would have happened without his restaurant...
>>
>>36770043
No we haven't feed failing contract workers to trolls for years, though we might reanimate the ones who fall off walls and such to ensure accidental deaths don't slow down your progress. Now about the basement, do you think transporting it in one piece is doable?
>>
>>36770114
A one-way antimagic field would be nice too, I want to be able to scry and cast from within it without anyone else being able to direct such spells at me. If you can't set that up, leave provisions for runecarving and I'll do it myself.
>>36770076
Always. Also counting it as a personal victory that the world eater couldn't discern the one location I put everything into hiding.
>>
>>36769858
Oh dear, always hosting these things when I am about to sleep.
That being said, I am going back in for my lab and test samples even if a god tries to stop me personally.

>>36769893
Thank you Mortimer, I sorely needed that.

>>36770114
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd prefer a lab space in a tower this time, the basement was nice, don't misunderstand. But the magical wards were lacking and containment is much easier when I can shoot errant experiments out of the sky without having to worry about the structural integrity of the guild.
>>
>>36770166
I hadn't even finished the protections around it, been rushing them lately with some help from various members while we wait for the new hall.
>>36770103
You didn't have a private bathroom? I think I had at least six.
>>
>>36769893
Coffee coffee coffee.
>>
>>36770232
I did.
Then it got destroyed, long story, afterwards I just bathed with the rest of the female students at night.
>>
>Ah, glad to see construction is underway!
*Anfarthon's probe hovers around Pierre's head, just out of reach as a 'hologram' of his head examines the scene.*
>Sorry I could not be there in person, but the Observance will last another 12 days and 1 hour, 33 minutes.
>Anything important I should know? Anything the Head Lawmagus must sign?
>>
>>36770166
>>36769858
Make sure there are lots of tall, pointy towers, imposingly high walls, a dungeon full of monsters, etcetera, I really am a sucker for the classics.
>>
>>36770049
That shouldn't be a problem, sir.

>>36770127
I hear ya. We've been working with this diamond-like material lately, popular with the elves and their laser tag arenas. Energy beams just sort of get absorbed into the crystal and fizzle out. Screening your walls with it should protect your offices just fine.
>>
>>36770166
Alright the chains are working and whatever happened knock out all my status afflictions accept my chaos taint. Honestly feel better than I have in years.

>>36770189
He knew Pierre, he just didn't care. Beating you so easily would have bored him. Granted he likely would have finished you of if the others didn't intervene. He enjoys the means far more than the ends.

>>36770114
I'd like the scrying lab far enough away from abjuration so they don't interfere with my students seeings. Being far from Conjuration circles would be helpful as well. Also ward the hell out of our vaults, too many of my students use them for "private" time with other students.
>>
Witches and Warlocks, I hope I am in the correct room this time. The UN is unhappy with the level of resources and funding required to maintain the secrecy of your Guild's activities, given how common minor spats between your folk are.

How does the wizarding world intend to remedy this situation? The UN is unwilling to continue supply of mundane materials if an amiable solution cannot be arrived at.
>>
>>36770175
That's... reassuring. Thank you sir. If you're willing to cover the UmberHaul fee to move it, we'll have that basement laid down into the new building's foundation and ready to go.
>>
>>36770274
Probably requisition forms. Never have I been so thankful that I took the time to learn how to make corporeal illusions, I've been working overtime with the last spare body getting wards set up and making new spares. Fortunately signing forms doesn't take much energy and I've had ample time to recover.
>>
>>36770321
We as a general rule avoid your plane, sucks the magic right out of us. You want the warlock's pact three leagues over. Following the infernal screams.
>>
>>36770353
Conspierre, I managed to finish your last batch of doppelgangers with my old chemistry set, you can pick them up whenever you are free.
>>
>>36770318
You say he didn't care, I say his arrogance made him think he knew where it was.
>>36770374
Oh, you are a saint. That saves me so much legwork in preparing them, just have to set up the proper wards and enchantments now.
>>
>>36770318
I guess that's to be expected from a World Command healing spell. I am still tired from him casting that...
>>
>>36770321
The who?
>>
>>36770189
We can get an anti-magic field up, but I'm afraid making it one-way is above our ability. You're welcome to our rune-carving tools, of course.
>>
>>36770283
Good, good, hopefully it will be able to take a hit of this "Daylight Breaker" I've heard so much about.

>>36770368
Soros, anything new on this relic Samantha found? I haven't been able to find the time to talk to her about it personally.
>>
>>36770283
Thank you. Coffee?
>>
>>36770421
I think I heard her screaming a few hours ago, if that helps.
>>
>>36770392
He had gathered a fragment of your soul to trace you, of course that got blasted out from the two explosions but still.

>>36770406
Yeah, thanks for that by the way. Mortimer's coffee can help take the edge off.

>>36770421
I haven't been in a position to ask her lately. The world eater trashed my labs before he went after Pierre's restaurant. Still cleaning up the mess.

>>36770448
I hope it's unrelated.
>>
>>36770448
I'll get my club
>>
>>36770411
Perfectly fine, I'll just set one of these dopplegangers up and get right on it.
>>36770421
You think Ashburn might have tried giving Noel a magical girl transformation before we ousted him? It seems to react to the same mental states that heighten the effectiveness of pyromancy, judging by my observations.
>>
>>36769893
"Wonderful."
>>
>>36770321
So, how many of your "united states" have legalized that potent medicinal herb that I gave you at our last conference?
>>
Hello all! What'd I miss?
>>
>>36770368
Thank you sir, but I must point out that I have been shuffled between offices and departments for the better part of a year now. I take my leave now.
>>
>>36770353
>Simple enough matter. I'll have this probe fill out every necessary form in triplicate while I attend Consignment.
>I have greatly appreciated the novelty of this spell ever since I first learned it, Ethereal Projection is great! Sadly, won't help non-ethereal beings.
>>
>>36770194
You got it. Towers have become something of our specialty.

That shouldn't be a problem. I'll get into the specifics of each of the labs as we go along, but we can certainly map them out far enough apart as you wish. Warding your new vaults shouldn't be an issue, but I recommend applying your own if you feel my boys aren't up to the task.

Repairing the library would probably be the best - lot of books, I'm sure ONE of them would have something we could use.

>>36770103
better baths would be appreciated too. As for rebuilding, I'm a geomancer. Do you need stone or concrete?
>>
>>36770338
Good to hear, the cost shouldn't be a problem, if I can I might even cover that cost personally. It would be far to much work to redo all those seals manually.
>>
>>36770480
I hope not it'd definitely try to control her, no way he'd let her have that power with no sure way he'd not get blasted.

>>36770524
Quinn wants to talk to you Samantha.
>>
>>36770472
Well, that will lead him to yet another decoy. I've got an alarm system set up that goes off whenever there's a possibility that discovering it may become possible, its only lit up twice, and by random coincidences that left a single thread of fate connecting to it.
>>
>>36770504
Here comes the headache
>>
>>36770522
Oh they'll do nicely for now.
Just take it from me, disintegrating sterilization wards are not something you want set up before the amount of personell is written in stone.

>>36770564
I hear stabupuncture helps with that, granted, I heard it from mr.Stabby, and I'm not quite sure what it actually "is". But you could ask him for some.
>>
>>36770524
Oh your hair's back to brown again.
And you're also wearing a proper shirt as well
>>
>>36770480
I honestly just can't picture Noel as a Magical Girl, sure she already wears skimpy clothes, burns everything for little reason, and is a girl, but I just can't see it.
>>
>>36770564
Indeed.

>>36770517
Seriously only mortal magicians that can function on your plane are warlocks. Watch for demons.

>>36770583
Stabby is the cause of the headache in this case.

>>36770594
Like I said he likely put an enchant on it to control her so she wouldn't blast him.
>>
>>36770589
>>36770594
No offense of course.
>>
>>36770583
He's pretty much got stabupuncture down pat. I'm pretty sure the only reason he doesn't like to heal himself is because he hates getting stabbed.
>>
>>36770448
Eh... I think I'll go look into that... soooooonish.

>>36770472
I see, well I guess that's understandable, I've been stuck doing paper work after taking over the Witchcraft Faculty so I missed that incident.

>>36770480
Making someone a Magical Girl to control someone sounds like a horrible idea! Do you have any idea how those transformations affect the mind? Herding cats without magic would be simpler.

>>36770524
Samantha, just the Apprentice I was looking for! I hear you made a discovery lately, a certain relic of some kind connected to the old Magical Girl Accademy?
>>
>>36770480
Ashburn? Giving me something that improves my ability without a catch? Not likely, the outfit is probably something that makes the old outfit he made me wear look like a nun habit by comparison.
>>
>>36770521
If it's anything like my illusory projections, it is an absolutely unfair amount of fun.
>>36770594
I can think of a few "out there" scenarios. But my theory is already stretching it, so I think we'll just have to wait and see.
>>
>>36770594
My outfits aren't that skimpy. Minidresses are perfectly acceptable.
>>
>>36770631
So I should try it first is what you're saying?
>>36770627
I can't say that I have any idea whatsoever. I am unable to use any magical girl spells.
>>
>>36770631
Mind controlling you with it as the catch seems more likely. Of course you in a skimpy outfit knowing him is a given.
>>
>>36769858
Th-the Library? Oh my deities! You cannot be real! Do you know how long it took to make that place organized?! Not to mention the cata-tomes! Those will take weeks to clean out and organize!
Do you even understand the problems the new enchantments have cause already? "Experience the spells before you learn them!" They said! "It'll be fun!" they said!
Do you know how muh fun it was when some prankster put the "Oceanic views" tome in the "pyromancy" section?
>>
>>36770617
Ya think?
>>
Witches and Wizards, forgive my intrusion, is this the correct place to discuss grievances of mundaFUCK THIS PLACE AND ITS NON-EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY.
>>
>>36770672
The old guild had a decommission bombs go off in it then had the World eater tear through it. Any magic cast in that place is liable to turn wild.
>>
>>36770663
I rather not, I already went through enough, I don't want the image of you in three square feet of cloth, drowned in feathers and glitter, burnt into my mind.
>>
>>36770684
"I don't see what the problem is, when done right the wounds heal right back up once you take the knife out."
>>
>>36770699
Oh whats wrong, normie can't handle a little non conventional infrastructure?
>>
>>36770672
The old guild hall is shattered, is the library even stable in its current state?
>>36770699
Don't talk shit about my restaurant you swine, I hired the finest in interior decorators to bring its majesty before you....not the wreckage, that was something else.
>>36770708
I guess I'll just save that one for when I need cheering up then.
>>
>>36770648
Very acceptable, Ma'am.
>>
>>36770699
*write him a map and sends him on his way* Seriously we're not even in the guild right now, you shouldn't get lost.
>>
>>36770672
I remember that, the resulting mess supplied me with algae for a good decade.
Good times.

>>36770684
You get used to stabbing after a while, I could get you a draught that removes pain, it's only permanent in some cases.

>>36770699
Turn hubwise on the fifth circular stair junction and then fall backwards to reach the entrance. If that doesn't work, try falling forwards.

>>36770716
Just because that happened when you did it on me, I wouldn't assume it happens with everyone.
>>
>>36770716
I know that, how ever, why should I stab my self when I have all these great healers around
>>36770750
See above
>>
>>36770648
The majority of the souls in my shadow are from more conservative times, it tends to rub off a little.
>>
>>36770663
Well neither can I sadly, but as a researcher on the subject it's safe to say that any attempt at mind controlling a transformed Magical Girl has about a 89% chance of blowing up in your face. Most of the cases literally.

>>36770708
You sure you don't want to try? Witnessing a first time transformation could benefit my research immensely.
>>
>>36770589
Yeah. I'm grateful myself, something about the hair color changing really fucks with my notions of self-preservation.

>>36770627
Yeah, found a book supposedly on loan from the Magical Girl Academy before it was folded into the mages guild, and there was this purple marble hidden in the spine.

I'm pretty sure it's some manner of magical girl's transformation trinket with fire powers. However I can't get it to activate no matter what I try. It's gotta be waiting for something.
>>
>>36770782
Wellllllll only if I'm sure it won't mind control me, we have enough of that going on, and that I can change back.
>>
>>36770705
Honestly at this point I'm almost willing to deal with the magics. I've had to move this libraries stuffs 2 times and every time my back gives out a little more.
>>36770735
Hardly, but my apprentices are doing work rejuvenating the books and bringing them back to the original condition. it takes time. In the mean time I was installing shelves....
>>36770750
..and I wish to thank you for that. We found a bit more of the sludge seeping from a "decomposing sea life" book but none have wanted to open it. Apparently there's a warning it will explode like the carcass of a dead whale eventually
>>
>>36770775
They must really hate the Grade S ZR then.
>>
>>36770750
".....I happens with everyone.... when done right. other wise you're just stabbing people. Did I ever tell you time when I was first starting out and tried to help out the prostitutes in the area? All those dead hookers."

>>36770774
"Because you need to stay in practice!"
>>
>>36770811
Just a shot in the dark here, but perhaps during life threatening times, or when you pass a certain threshold of anger or righteous fury?
>>36770826
Well, starting from scratch with the containment measures would give you a lot more room to get exactly what you want.
>>
>>36770826
Ask the necromancers, artificers, or conjurers to lend Servants/automatons/outsider servants to help then. You don't have to do all the heavy lifting.
>>
>>36770817
This can only go well.
>>
>>36770839
I am staying in practice! After all, there are always those "brave" apprantices willing to try anything
>>
>>36770811
"Have you tried taking it to your local thiefs guild appraiser?"
>>
>>36770889
YEH I BET ITS TOTALLY GONNA BE AWESOME DO IT NOEL
>>
So, what happened after I left?
>>
>>36770866
Oh it isn't heavy lifting at all, the library's contents have wards that allow us to animate the books to walk. Keeps them from getting too far and we can get them back when overdue. But I have to watch it all happen and our chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, my back always is hurt just from sitting in them and watching for a while....
>>36770856
...well, that could work, I've wanted to get more space for the cata-tomes

>>36770826
Knowing decomposing marine life... And I do, that warning is most likely correct. I could use it though, good protein slurry is hard to get ethically.

>>36770839
That sounds profoundly unpleasant, what did you ever do with the bodies?

>>36770811
>>36770856
I like that idea! Can I introduce you to a creation of mine?
>>
>>36770909
Now I am sure it is a terrible idea.
>>
>>36770856
Certainly possible. If it's anger then stabby being around should set that off right quick...

>>36770904
I honestly don't trust them.
>>
>>36770811
Interesting, you must let me examine it. Though with just guessing I would say a surge of emotion might be the trigger, it usually is with these things.

>>36770856
That might be it too, these things aren't always predictable but your idea would fit the theme they seem to follow.

>>36770817
Well as I said, about a 89% chance it will blow up in the face of whoever tires, a total of 80% chance that any attempt will cancel out before it begins. And during the remaining 11% where the control somehow works you will likely result in a massive boost of power that I predict will end with the guild hall in ruins, but we are already working on that so no problems there.

Also I think our ex-head of necromancy was working on some kind of spell to cancel these transformations ever since his last run in with magical girls, you know, that Daylight Breaker incident.
>>
>>36770927
Ethics are silly. Have you been to the ethics and law section of the library? You can't get in without being barraged with law books trying to arrest you
>>
>>36770733
Perhaps if you grew up without access to magic, you wouldn't be so quick to mock me.

>>36770735
And you, sir, might sympathise if you grew up without magic.

>>36770744
We may not be in the guild hall this moment, but this geometry is frustrating to navigate. The time warps are of no help either.

>>36770750
This is unhelpful. I already tried both ways at that particular junction on directions from a previous room.

>>36770511
The United States have legalised that herb, but other nations are still cautiously testing it. Our lack of magic makes it difficult to ascertain the actual safety, you understand, but so far we have not been able to observe any of the magical qualities you promised. Our scientists suspect the mundane nature of our plane is interfering with its properties.
>>
>>36770913
Restaurant got totaled, guild hall destroyed, and fryia's back with us. I'm pretty sure she's resting right now though. We will most likely be holding meetings here until the new guild hall is done. The construction crew is taking requests, I'd let them know what you want.
>>36770920
See? It's not so bad.
>>36770927
Please don't, I've just gotten the roof fixed in here.
>>
>>36770966
Ah, I see. I actually see the damage done too.
>>
>>36770966
I guess, they were getting kind of filled with all those books the library isn't allowed to let people see or read. Ever. Don't even ask about them. They are NOT up for grabs!
>>
>>36770955
I did grow up without magic, and when I started learning it I decided it was the best thing ever.
>>36770987
At least the coffee makers are still working.
>>
>>36770950
That's a lot of high numbers that are not in my favor.
>>36770948
You shouldn't, especially their council. so skilled they can steal the clothes off your back without you noticing.
At least that's what they say about them.
>>
>>36770927
"Sold them to the wizards guild."

>>36770948
"You don't have to trust them. You have to be better then them, but seeing as your a mage I'd suggest hiring a fighter to help you."
>>
>>36770950
All these numbers, bah, but yes I do have such a spell. It wouldn't help me against the ones I made it for but it should be able to handle a newly transformed magical girl.
>>
>>36770989
Anything I wrote in there?
>>36771006
Maybe see what a rage automaton does with it? Preferably somewhere far away from here.
>>
>>36771006
Trust me, they can. I speak from a rather unnerving experience
>>
>>36771006
By "blowing up in the face of whoever tries" I'm referring to the one trying to control you, those odds are perfectly fine.

>>36771017
Ah, excellent, then I guess we are ready to go.
>>
>>36771006
>>36771033
The solution seems obvious, just don't wear clothes!

Also if the construction crew needs menial labour, I have a lot of homonculi left over, deceptively strong, those.
>>
>>36771041
Oh well in that case give it to me.
>>
>>36771000
But did you come from a magical or mundane plane, I ask? Our plane are completely unable to use magic. People from your wizarding planes are infused with magic from birth, even if you do not use it.
>>
>>36771006
"We really only use it as a party tricks normally."
>>
>>36770920
Find a comfymancer, they can help.

>>36770955
You must have magic sickness poor man. It's what happens when someone from a plane of no magic get exposed to it.
>>
>>36771053
I'm not sending my apprentice naked to the thieves-
I can't believe I actually need to say this!
>>
>>36771075
Well, you were pretty enthused about getting the blighter druid to smell her for some reason.
>>36771063
Then how in the nine hells did you get here?

We are not allowed to say. Generally we re-write the books in a way that removes their ink from the original pages and and it removes the memories of the author of them. We're sorry for any painful or awkward family situations this brings up.

If you think growing up without magic is hard, try growing up without magic then having thousands of souls, a large number being your deceased family, dating back thousands of years, whispering thousands of secrets and granting you access to powers beyond any you could believe all crammed into your shadow on the same day your grandfather died, all at the age of 14. Thankfully Aetherius planned for that kind of thing when he created the Red Shadow and gave it countermeasures to madness.

I apologize for being a month late for my meeting with the Wizard Council, As I was traveling I noticed an old cult reforming and had to handle the situation, They were much more deeply rooted in the area than I had expected.

I was originally sent here to attempt to broker a mutually beneficial relationship between my order and the Wizards Guild. I do not know if they have already sent someone else to discuss this matter or simply await my return.

It has been suggested to me that I make it openly clear that my specific Order believes ones actions should be judged rather than any sort of natural 'Alignment' you may identify as. So those of you whom would normally fear a paladins presence needn't worry. I understand that others of my kind can be quite boorish in regards to what they perceive as evil and will not take offense.

I am unsure of the terms I am specifically allowed to offer, I was merely told to secure the pact if I am able...Though in less diplomatic terms.

I believe we could work out some numbers of guards to be exchanged, Perhaps for a week or a month at a time. And I'm sure I could negotiate a Knowledge Exchange on the side, We do have extensive libraries that may have books that interest you...Though a few books I'm afraid would be considered too telling of our Order to allow you to have.

Nothing major but I suggest you leave behind any Necklace type trinkets and artifacts. We have...Issues about things that go about the neck. I'm letting you know now since I assume they are for self defense and you'll want to create alternatives.

While I am here on a diplomatic Mission, On a more personal request I would be interested in visiting your libraries if you would allow it, I have interest in all sorts of knowledge and I'm sure you know how limited most Orders are in accounting knowledge of things that aren't victories against evil.

Hello, I'm here on behalf of the traders in magical artifacts.

You might not see it now, but the markets are going to crash soon. The recent spike in spellcasters created a higher demand for magical items and foci, but now, thanks to your guild sanctioning for more magical academia in the universities, more and more of the upcoming magical and even NON-magical adventurers are being taught how to Craft Wondrous Items.
Supply is increasing far faster than demand, since those interesting in the true arcane arts aren't known for their restraint. We're talking tens of thousands of GP lost daily in larger cities and there have been a rash of closures on Arcane Avenue. Wallas Street's stockbrokers say all signs point to the overabundance of easy classes, and often this leads to unregistered practitioners and crafters. Faulty wands and inanimate golems are becoming the norm, and as the foremost at the front of the arcane, you need to sort out your schooling of novices before the situation becomes even worse.
As always, the Artisan's Guild is willing to negotiate some trade rights or curriculum support, and apprenticeship options remain open, but the masters of the trade are being displaced by these upstarts that don't even remember to set a proper command word.
>>
>>36772320

There's several smaller nuances, I don't think you'll be expected to know those though. The necklace thing is big though, As in if you show up with one you'll probably be forced out of our land by bladepoint regardless of any pact. Hence why I mention it specifically.
Erm, I suppose I should also mention that...Well you know how apprentices can be around women of their age? Our apprentices are much like that but around men. So it may be best if the wizards you send have the seniority to not cause any diplomatic issues because of lack of control.

I'm sure they can build around it or move it to an area where it won't be disturbed. They have enough hydro and geomancers for it.

Most of those items unravel under even a basic magical attack Theodore. It takes hard work and skill to make an item that can take a beating on it's enchantment ands stay together. Which is why they are so expensive. People will figure it out in a few months once their items start failing.

Why necklaces are a big deal?
Well before we were fully ... Enlightened? A wizard came along and decided 'Oh, Cats' And placed *Gritted teeth* Collars *Gritted teeth end* on our ancestors. At the time it was considered a mark of power or what have you, But eventually we made contact with humans, One thing lead to another and a trader with a cat made a comment and now we have a very big issue with anything that goes around the neck. Ah, And most of my kind would not explain this in so many nice words.

If you meant the apprentice thing...Well I'm embarrassed at my outburst but I'm sure you know that one, Is just biological They cant control themselves. We were all young once.

Anyway as I said when Noel transformed, giving the power an outlet should be preferable during a first transformation to make the transformation back as smooth as possible. But I guess it's up to you how you want to do it.

Now I got some calculations to make based on all this data, and I'm sorry to say it can't wait. Inform me if something out of the ordinary happens. good luck.
Got to go, like, right now, damn.

The worst I've seen is a paper cut or two. We've been enchanting books to give a more surreal experience of their contents and we've changed the geographical novels to act as a doorway to their setting. We've needed to increase the book's size obviously, but it's rather safe, but a few paper cuts are expected in a library

The cult is currently in worship of Kulhutu, a god of chaos and because Kulhutu is also a god of Sahuagin the cult, the Cult of Changing Tides, has alliances with the Sahuagin communities. Chaos, eh? Can't say that smells of stable trading community, and the Sahuagin aren't very appreciated at the guild after the vials meant to be filled with volcanic ash from the bottom of the sea came back with shore-sand from the very port-city the trade was made at.
All that aside, items requiring the hearts and souls of otherworldly beings are usually made to order, so a steady supply isn't needed. I'll take your info, but I wouldn't expect much from even the most masterful and exotic of crafters.

Excellent! Say, Im thinking for a new library a few things if you don't mind.
We're needing;
A main hall, siderooms for a dozen chapters. A few spare rooms to set up as living quarters.
A need a safe room for the librarians books.
We're thinking only one major spiral staircase down to underground cata-tomes. Perhaps a few spare side siderooms down there for highly secret novels.
Oh, and a room for prepping books for spells and enchanting. Something with thick walls please.
Finally, we need about five offices, just for the volume of paper work and a spare for other librarians to appirate and dissipate.

Ah, Not that kind. More about doing the right thing rather than following some guideline that will limit me. So more Question AND hit. Hence why I didn't go charging off to murder the 'Evil' wizard earlier as my elders would.

Also I crippled it while in my casual clothes with a unfamiliar weapon not made for my kind in one slash. It was enough to get me enough clout to prevent the entire ...Guild? Collection of Orders? Whatever. Of paladins from bedding Succubi for a while. And to get some proper armor made for my kind. What they had provided us before was...Well lets just say it would make a Rogue feel modest. Since then we've learned to craft our own armor too so its not a big deal anymore.

Dear Kulhutu, and to think I was too busy with the cult.
>>36774666
Hm, yes pretty impressive child. And I can understand the boring aspect of guidelines. That's actually sorta the reason for our cult. We enjoy all the practices of worship and stuff but we don't want to be held down by any one powerful being. Now the armor thing, what physical features do you have that was so different that they didn't have at least a breastplate for you?

The problem was that they listened to some of the younger of our order, And the younger of other orders when designing the armor. They ended up barely useful in combat and it was quite annoying. Now we have proper armor that accommodates our tail and ears rather than painfully trapping them, And meets our needs for freedom of movement.
I am not bored of Guidelines per se, I see them as an obstacle that would prevent me from doing my job as I believe I should. How many paladins have been defeated or fallen simply because of a moral conundrum? That to me is a weakness not worth having. Even if my connection to the divine isn't as strong as those who follow many guidelines. I manifest mine in a different manner than them now. I'm sure someone interested in studying such a thing would talk my ear off about the reasons behind it but I just don't care as long as I can protect those that need it.
...Err obviously I'm not supposed to talk about this and its all very hush hush because I don't know why.

I don't know what the future holds, Nor do I particularly care. All I know is that if I go, I am bringing as much evil as possible with me. I will not go gently into Eternal Night or Eternal Light. Whatever may await me it will not find me unworthy. I do not hold divinity in as much respect as most might, To me it just means that if you fall you will fall harder than others. Certain religions cast the role of Evil upon a member of their role of Good quite effectively.

Justice is closest to what I seek, For evil to be treated as it should. I will have completed my duty when the last villian who would prey on the weak lies bleeding on the ground or locked in irons.
My views are considered dangerous by most other Paladins but I get results and no-one is as disposable for sending on diplomatic missions.

Err, Sorry if you expected some form of reverence from me at your revelation. I can be rude at times without meaning to.

It depends on what they do. A man who steals to feed his family is not Evil I have no interest in harming him, He is Merely desperate and maybe a little foolish. A man who murders for pleasure is Evil, There is little chance of him being returned to a normal life so it is best to end his.
A man who murders out of fear may or may not be Evil, It depends on what he does afterwards. This is a man I would give a choice to amend his ways.

So in short, I take a defensive stance and give them an opportunity to lay down their arms and Atone. If they don't take it my hand is forced.
I do not believe I have ever been mistaken in my judgement of an individual.
I do not believe in anyone being Evil or Good by nature, But if they do Evil things they will tend to continue doing so, Same with Good.

If you do see him, please don't use any.. biomantic spells. He's a "pet" project, and I haven't set up any wardings against interference until I've finalised his design. And realigning his biotendons and the biomech sub-circles... I don't want to think of it. I simply don't.
There's a reason I usually go full construct.

How do you feel about wooden golems anyway? Do you count them as biomancy also, I certainly use a little in their construction.

Yes, they count I suppose, as long as it grows I dabble in it, usually.
