Outside the bar are the patrons and pilgrims, chatting idly about their day or setting up for their next big adventure. As well as workers leaving to tend to their daily routines.

Which means more space at the bar for you.
You walk in, the bartender is already starting to recognize your face. Which is good, anywhere you go should be a place that you can call home.

You refill your flask(s) and start on what's, technically, your first drink of the day. To you, it doesn't count unless it's served in a glass. Otherwise it's merely a boost to get you through.

It's amazing how empty the bar can be around this time. The time a little after lunch but before the afternoon when everyone calls it quits for the day.
All that's left in the bar is a small group sitting at a table, chatting amongst themselves. Loud enough to echo through the lobby.

"-get a good look at him?"
"Nah, No one did. He saw the hero and ran like hell. It was the dead of night, after all."

Huh, that sounds like an interesting conversation.

The three at the table continue to talk, absent-minded of your presence.
"Someone just straight-up trying to steal from the castle when there's a hero staying there"

You have a sinking realization. Someone attacking the castle when you weren't there? Seriously? Did they know that you went back to the shrine at night?

Either way, no one attacks your castle, and lives.

You pay for your tab and show yourself out, the guys at the table barely even notice you leave.
Fortunately, the castle is only a short walk away, you won't have to borrow a ride in order to get there.

The guards look like a wreck. Each one that you pass composes themselves like they haven't slept in hours.
The two guards who stand outside the castle entrance yawn and lazily wave at you on your approach. Only one of them having the stamina to look you in the eye and make sure you're supposed to be inside.

No wonder the place got sacked, with lazy bastards like this guarding it.

Fritelli emerges from the back of the armory. She seems tired, but is far more composed about it than anyone else you've seen.

She walks behind you and looks out of the door. Carefully, she shuts it just quiet enough as to not make a sound.

"Last night some thief-like guy tried to break into the library. And.."
Again, she does a once-over check of the armory.
"..And Aligot and I agree, we both think he used a scroll or spell to make everyone in the castle drowsy while he worked. Half of the castle staff fell asleep, no one has been feeling that great ever since." She jokingly slaps herself on the cheek.

"A spell that makes everyone sleep." That sounds like something you wouldn't mind having at times. "How'd he get found out?"

She crosses her arms, "It was strong enough to work on the castle staff, but not strong enough to work on Yuuki. She found everyone asleep before searching around the castle and scaring him off."
"Great! See, I told the girl that she'd be great at this job."
"Annetta didn't think so." She scratches the back of her head.

"What'dya mean?"
"Yuuki is grounded in her room. So is Louise."

"HAHA! That's hilarious! But that doesn't explain wh-"
Grounded.
"Yer sayin', they were told to stay in their rooms and they actually stayed!?"
"Yup..." Fritelli sighs. "Louise was crying about it, too."

Something about this isn't right, clearly you must be mistaken.
"So Yuuki nabs a burglar, and her reward is to be chained to her room like a galley slave!?"
"By the way, Annetta also told the guards to keep you away from her room."
