You are Ur'shal, chieftain of the rapidly growing Stonetusk Clan, that is provided you can keep the many dangerous groups surrounding you from noticing your expansion until you're ready to deal with them. Right now you're addressing with one of the most pressing issues, a necromancer lurking within your clan's territory. You've chased him to a tomb hidden within a cavern network in the wastes, now you just have to live through whatever traps and defenses he's had time to set up.

You've seen more than a few old orcish tombs in your years in the wastes, but never one quite this grandiose. You stepped out of the lightless caverns onto a bridge high above a sea of bones, great stone pillars stretching up from the ossuary depths to the ceiling high above, decorated in carvings of orcish myths and battles. The room stretches far into the distance, the bridge ending at a carved archway in the opposite wall. You can't even begin to imagine how many bodies litter the ground below. Normally you wouldn't much care, if not for the fact that your quarry could turn every last one of them into a warrior and set them loose on your clan.

From the wheezing laughter that echoed out from the depths of the tomb when you entered, and the flitting shadowy shapes just out of sight, you think it's a good bet that the necromancer already knows you're here. The question is, what do you do about it?

A necromancer could be a powerful ally, especially if he can talk to the spirits of the dead orcish kings
>>
>>36700616
dat's bad juju
>>
>>36700631
I'm not sure if orcs (or more importantly, orcish gods) have a negative opinion of necromancy in this setting. Raising dead warriors is definitely out, but imagine the knowledge we could recover!
>>
>>36700631
nope as long as he is not dealing with devils and demons then he would be better then our ogre bitch that I want to get her to swap gods
>>
>>36700616
He's killed two of our clanmates already, and set crazy looking fae spider things on us. He's probably not interested in allying himself with us

Check the ask.fm, Op confirmed Necromancy is a legit magical discipline and Orcish necromancers have held positions of respect in the past
>>
>>36700664
I should point out that I keep using Horrors to refer to creatures of the Abyss.

Devils and demons is just the human term for divine servants of gods that they consider to be evil.

Humans would consider the Desolates of Skor'oz Zik to be demons for example.

>>36700662
They don't really have an issue with necromancy, although they might get a bit upset if you start raising their clanmates as shambling corpses.
>>
“Necromancer, coward, you owe a blood debt to my clan, come out and pay it,” you roar, your voice reverberating through the vast chamber.

The silence stretches on as the echo fades, Ashuris giving a sigh. “Very impressive, chieftain, but it seems your enemy is not the duelling type.”

You growl, and the ogress' haughty expression falters under your gaze. As you consider your next move, you hear a clatter from far below the bridge. Looking over the edge, you see the surface of the pit start to shift and shudder, skeletal figures pulling themselves loose from the sea of bones.

“Looks like you got an answer,” Juk'ruk grunts, readying his axe.

The skeletons start to make for the spiral stairs up to the bridge, you count at least a dozen of them so far. Fortunately it looks like the only way up to the bridge is the pair of narrow stairs, which the skeletons can only take one at a time.

“What now, chieftain, the necromancer isn't going to be running out of bones any time soon?”

“Juk'ruk, you stay here with some warriors, keep the skeletons from getting up onto the bridge. The rest of us will go on ahead and deal with the necromancer.”

Juk'ruk snarls. “Try not to get distracted, chieftain, we can only hold them for so long.”

You growl at Juk'ruk's tone, but you don't have time to deal with it now, and you charge across the bridge, Ashuris and the rest of your warriors in tow.

The archway through the far end of the bridge leads into another chamber, less vast than the first, but no less impressive. Carved statues of Wargs flank a central walkway, the walls a crisscrossed with alcoves containing the bones of the great beasts.

“There's sorcery at work in here,” Ashuris hisses, eying the chamber warily.

“That's what you're here for, witch.”

The ogress closes her eyes, muttering her gutteral chant. Your warriors shift uneasily, even without Ashuris' magic, all of you can sense something dangerous and unnatural in this chamber.

You shiver as the temperature in the chamber drops perceptably. Lines of dull purple energy lance out across the chamber floor in an intricate pattern, seeming to boil and smolder before they dissipate into a glowing mist.

Ashuris gives a 'hmph', turning to face you.

“This necromancer may be good at playing with corpses, but his wards are childish and predictable,” the ogress sneers, waving a dismissive hand at the fading mist.

You are about to respond when you catch sight of a flicker of movement on the edge of your vision, a blur of shadow flitting between the statues with impossible grace as it hones in on your slave.

Suddenly the shape launches itself from the darkness, trailing coils of black smoke from the hem of a tenebrous cloak, a shrivelled white claw clutching a curved dagger as it pounces in silence, deep red pits of eyes boring into Ashuris with utter hatred.

You ready your axe with practiced ease, intercepting the figure and slamming your axe into it. The strike lacks the satisfying weight which you were expecting, the shadowy figure writhing, twisting and shifting like liquid as it swerves wildly, your axe glowing a deep red as it passes through the strange being. Ashuris gives a panicked yell as the curved dagger flashes mere inches from her face before the strange creature darts away behind another of the statues out of sight.

You hear a now familiar clicking sound as some of the warg skeletons start to pull themselves lose of their alcoves, reassembling themselves as they come.

You and your remaining packmates find yourselves facing five of the warg skeletons, each as tall at the shoulder as you are, still clicking and snapping as their bones pop into place. You still catch the occasional glimpse of the shadowy creature just out of sight as it flits between statues, circling you, waiting for an opening.

You need to direct your forces against these threats.

“Everyone stick together, keep the enemy away from Ashuris,” you roar, your warriors closing ranks, weapons ready, as the wargs start to bear down on your group, their bones now fully assembled.

“Ashuris, bind the wargs in place so we can crush them,” you yell, the witch twisting a hand into a clawlike shape as she starts the familiar gutteral chanting.

Your warriors meet the skeletal wargs as Ashuris' chanting reaches a fever pitch, staying defensive and fending off the snapping jaws and cracked claws of the long dead beasts. You are very thankful for the shields you found for your clan in previous tomb delving, as you doubt your warriors would be holding off the assault anywhere near as well without them.

You catch sight of the shadowy creature, perched on top of one of the statues, watching you silently with its unblinking red-eyed stare, before it flickers away again, darting back out of sight.

You lash out at one of the wargs as Ashuris continues her chant, knocking off the jawbone as it stumbles under the weight of the strike. The rest of your warriors hold the line well, keeping themselves clear of the snapping jaws of the dead things, even scoring a few solid blows in return, one of the five wargs collapsing to the floor as two of your warriors shatter its front legs. Despite these victories though, you can tell that it's just a matter of time before blood starts flowing.

Ashuris' chant crests on a short, harsh note, the witch breaking down into a fit of coughing. You spare a split second to glance back at her, Ashuris' face paler than usual, sweat glistening on her body. The stone floor around your group shifts and buckles, a spiderweb of cracks snaking out as the carved floor gives under the pressure, but then as quickly as it starts, it ends, the wargs none the worse for the experience.

“The stone, it- it's too heavily worked, there's too much old magic in it, my connection to Ylugri's too weak here,” Ashuris wheezes, shaken by her failure.

You are distracted by a shout from one of your warriors, as the shadowy creature launches itself from behind the statue, flinging itself at him with its dagger raised. Your warrior swings his sword at the undead thing, but unlike your axe, his sword flashes through the creature's shifting form without causing it any noticeable discomfort. Its dagger comes down, burying itself in the shoulder of your warrior, you roars in pain as the flesh around the wound starts to blacken, a fine layer of frost clinging to your wounded clanmate's skin.

You could go over there any attack the creature before it retreats, but that would break the defensive circle.

You break off from the circle, making for the shadowy creature, which seems too engrossed in the sounds of pain your clanmate is uttering as it digs its blade further into his shoulder to notice your advance.

A skeletal warg snaps at your heels, but one of your warriors knocks it aside with a blow of his club, giving you a clear shot at the wraith. You raise your axe high overhead with a roar. The wraith finally spots you, wrenching its blade free as it turns to parry your blow, but it moves too slowly, and your axe tears through the shadowy essence of its head. The creature finally breaks its unnerving silence, giving a shrill shriek as its body breaks apart into thick wisps of black smoke, the curved blade dropping to the ground with a clatter.

You spare a glance to your injured clanmate, who is clutching at the blackened and half-frozen ruin of his shoulder, his arm hanging limp at his side. Without some magical aid, it's a fair bet that he'll never use that arm again. He gives a pained grunt, picking up his dropped axe in his off-hand.

The rest of your group seem to be doing well, two more of the Wargs are reduced to shattered bone as your warriors lay into them, their shields preventing all but a few minor injuries. Another of the wargs goes down under a hail of blows from your witch slave, Ashuris once again showing her ogre heritage as she shatters the skeletal beast's spine with her heavy fists, teeth bared and eyes wide with bloodlust.

With so few wargs remaining, it doesn't take long for you and your warriors to encircle the leftovers and put them down.

The chamber goes still. You've lost none of your clanmates, though one is seriously injured. You can still hear the fighting back from the bridge as Juk'ruk and the rest of your warriors fend off the skeletons. At the far end of the chamber a set of grand stairs lead down into the depths.

You bend down to pick up the dagger, flinching as your fingers brush it and find it far too cold to the touch, even for this dank tomb. You frown, picking it up, ignoring the discomfort and sliding it into your belt.

“Ashuris, can you do anything about his wounds,” you ask the witch quietly, sharing a glance at the injured orc.

The ogress shakes her head. “Ylugri doesn't care much for the healing arts, so unless you want me to make it worse, you had best find someone else to heal your minion.”

You grunt, gesturing for the rest of your group to follow as you start down the stairs, Ashuris keeping pace alongside you, looking a little less pale and shaken already. The ogress traces her fingertips along the wall of the stairway, muttering under her breath. Halfway down she holds a hand up in front of you as her chanting grows heavier, another pattern of purple lines flaring up and dissipating on the steps below.

It feels like you have been descending for hours when you finally reach the foot of the stairs, the stairway opening up into another massive chamber. Pillars carved to look like great orcish warriors hold the high ceiling aloft, and you see more skeletal figures lurch out from out of sight, watching you with hollow eyes. The skeletons here seem more well armed and armoured than the bare bones in the bridge room, clad in rusted but still functional chain and clutching worn greataxes, mauls and other powerful orcish weapons.

In the center of the chamber, a set of stairs leads up to a raised dias, a single stone sarcophogi sat in its center.

Leaning over the sarcophogi is a broad-shouldered but stooped orcish figure clad in torn, dusty robes, muttering to himself, hunched up and hard at work on something. You hear sickening ripping and squelching as his arm moves, but so far he doesn't seem to be paying any attention to you. His skeletons certainly are though.

You bellow out a warcry as you lead your group against the skeletons now stood between you and the necromancer.

The skeletons stand unflinching in the face of your charge as the necromancer finally turns. He's younger than you expected, some grey in his hair but nowhere near as ancient as Vor'zal. His eyes are focused on his right arm, which looks freakishly pale compared to the rest of his olive hide, roughly stitched into place just below the shoulder. He gives a 'hmm' as he curls each of the fingers in turn, clenching the hand into a fist.

“Good. Full movement, full functionability,” he mutters, still seemingly unconcerned at the battle about to break out just in front of him.

You meet the first of the skeletons head on, your greataxe clashing with its maul. Despite its lack of flesh and muscle, the skeleton still has the strength of the orc it once was, and your arms tense and strain as you test your power against the undead warrior's.

The rest of your group is only moments behind, clashing against the necromancer's skeletal defenders. Despite the unfeeling strength of the undead, your warriors prove quicker, and the wall of skeletons starts to falter.

You snarl, redoubling your efforts against the troublesome skeleton, when you hear a cracking sound. A section of the stone floor bulges upwards under one of the skeletons, the stone shattering in a gout of flame as a plume of molten rock breaches the surface, melting through bone as an unfortunate skeleton is caught in the blast.

You hear Ashuris give a triumphant laugh from behind you. It seems her magic is working better down here further underground.

The necromancer finally turns his attention away from his new arm as the molten rock starts to cool, the sudden glow in the chamber fading, staring down at the melee.

“Too stupid to talk, pity. Thought you'd make a good wight, too stupid for that though. Strong at least. I can use that.” the necromancer rumbles, staring at you impassively as you battle the undead.

You push aside the swing of the skeletal warrior, catching his leg with a strike of your own, the skeleton starting to topple as you drive another blow up under his ribs, shattering his spine. You seize the skeleton's head as it collapses, hurling it at the necromancer.

“I would talk if I thought you had anything worthwhile to say, fool,” you snap.

The necromancer's new arm jerks up with unnatural speed, seizing the skull from the air before it can strike the necromancer. The necromancer nods. “Reflexes excellent,” he growls, his fingers tensing as the skull caves in under the force of his grip. “Strength also up to expected standards.”

The rest of your warriors are still locked in battle with the skeletons, but they are performing exceptionally well, not one serious injury yet, and a couple of the undead warriors are already in pieces on the floor of the tomb.

“Ashuris, focus on the necromancer,” you roar as you find your path blocked by another skeleton leveling a spear at you.

Ashuris' gutteral muttering starts again, and you hear the necromancer give a curious 'hrmm' as the floor lurches under his feet. He steps back, raising his left hand, a rippling barrier of wispy mist welling up from the ground in front of him. The ground once again buckles as another burst of molten rock surges to the surface, splashing against the necromancer's barrier. The mist twists and writhes, the molten rock forcing through the necromancer's protection, some drops of the still glowing magma spattering on the necromancer's flesh.

The necromancer gives a dispassionate grunt, brushing the smoldering rock off of his blistered skin with little more than a momentary flicker of discomfort. The scent of cooked flesh hits your nostrils, some of the necromancer's wounds still sizzling audibly. The necromancer raises his pale hand, finger outstretched and pointed at your ogress slave.

You find yourself in a stalemate once again, the skeletal orc keeping you at a distance with jabs of its rusted spear, you strike off a chunk of ribs with a sweep, but achieve little more than a graze across the shoulder.

Your warriors are faring no better, the early momentum fading as your warriors start to tire in battle against the unrelenting skeletons.

You hear a loud crack as an arc of black energy jumps across the room from the necromancer's fingertip at your ogress. Ashuris doesn't even flinch as the energy harmlessly passes her, striking the ground several feet to her left. The necromancer gives a confused noise, eyes dazed, blinking as he sways on his feet.

You finally get inside the guard of the skeletal spearman, bringing your axe up under its jaw, knocking the head clean off its shoulders. Your warriors rally forwards with you as you push through the skeletal horde, taking down several more of the undead guardians.

The skeletal numbers are starting to thin, and the necromancer is still locked in arcane battle with Ashuris. The question is whether you wish to try and reopen negotiations from your new position of strength, or finish the necromancer and his remaining undead off once and for all.

Guys, all I'm saying is that I want to break that Orc-Slayer with our giant green dick. She's in her thirties now. We take too long, and she'll be an old maid by the time we have a big enough orc horde to conquer the human lands. An undead army has the benefit of both not requiring 14 years to create and also has a bunch of other benefits. Undead, dragons, we need something to give us that edge.

There's no room for a peaceful resolution now, this necromancer already cost you two of your warriors, another is crippled and who knows if more have died covering the bridge. You bellow with rage, charging forwards into the remaining skeletons. Your warriors surge along with you, reducing the remaining skeletons to shards of bone dust in short order.

As you raise your axe to give a triumphant roar, you find your breath catching in your throat, your sight growing hazy as you gasp for air. You stumble onto one knee, clutching your throat, seeing Ashuris in little better condition nearby, chest heaving in short, ragged motions.

The necromancer stands atop the dias, arm raised, fingers twitching, muttering under his breath as wisps of ghostly essence swirl around him. You start to feel dizzy, fighting the rush of exhaustion as you wheeze. Your warriors are only just finished with the skeletons, it will still be vital moments before they can charge the necromancer and break his concentration.

You grit your teeth, straining against the tension in your throat, the weight on your lungs. You pull yourself to your feet, growling from the strain. You force breath into your lungs, sucking it in against the pressure, until you feel something give, and the air comes rushing in. You take deep breathes, inhaling greedily as you shake off the your lightheadedness.

Ashuris does not appear to be faring as well against the necromancer's powers however, lying on her side, eyes rolled back in her head, leg kicking spasmodically as she breathes in choked gasps. You fear she might be about to pass on when the necromancer's spell drops as your warriors charge him, forcing him to turn his attention to fending off your clanmates. Ashuris starts to breathe again, albeit shallowly, but it looks like the lack of oxygen has knocked her out for the time being. It's just you and your warriors now.

The necromancer gives an annoyed 'hmph', turning his hand towards the first of your warriors, sending the orc sprawling backwards in an arc of dark energy. You don't know whether the necromancer is starting to tire, or your warrior was just lucky, but he looks like he's still breathing, shakily trying to pull himself up off the floor. The rest of the warriors rush in, but the necromancer's higher ground and bolts of energy are keeping them from closing the final distance, though they're doing a good job of keeping him contained.

You snarl, shaking off the last of the diziness and sprinting up the stairs. You give a bloodthirsty roar, your warriors parting to let you through. The necromancer's expression is one of surprise as you dodge past a bolt of dark energy, bringing your axe up above your head and down in a mighty swing.

The blow cleaves straight through his pale arm, lopping it off just below the elbow, the axe burying itself in his shoulder.

“Not again,” rumbles the necromancer, staring at the stump of his amputated replacement arm, still showing no real signs of pain despite the greataxe buried in his flesh.

You wrench the axe free, bringing it around in a circle and slamming it into his gut, cutting open the necromancer's belly.

He collapses to his knees, guts spilling as he tries to gather them up with an expression more akin to frustration than fear. As it becomes obvious to the mangled necromancer that it is a hopeless task, he looks up at you with a frown.

“Another pack of stupid warrior, just like my clan. Orcs can't build anything that lasts, they never could, in the end they always turn on each other or get lazy, indolent. I could have made something better. I just needed more time.”

The necromancer's olive skin grows pale as the blood loss gets the best of him. Still maintaining a look of disapproval as his eyes lose their focus

“If my warriors had done you wrong when we had met, why did you not tell me? You are guilty of what you preach, too lazy to co-operate, too indolent to deal with us ourselves, turning on us as if we were things to be used instead of equals to build a future with.”

You sweep your hands out wide, “What you needed was all around you. All you had to do was reach out and take it, as I did.”

The necromancer gives a sigh of resignation, shaking his head. His face slackens, and he slumps to the side on the stone steps, dead.

“I hope that whatever you find after your death, you realize your mistake.”

You turn to look at your assembled warriors, most of them still in good condition, albeit bruised and exhausted from their battles. Ashuris still lies unconscious on the stone, her chest rising and falling with her shallow breaths.

Man, I really want a blowjob in this quest some day.
>>
>>36706896
Noted.

>>36706950
There will certainly be one someday, I can promise you that. Funny thing though, Orc women can't really give blowjobs due to tusks, and oral for them generally involved some licking. As a result, most of the younger orcs who've never had any experience with other races until now are pretty much oblivious to the existence of blowjobs. Rest assured though, Ur'shal will be in for a pleasant new discovery in the future.
>>
>>36707029
The though of ur discovering what a blowjob is, is making me giggle like a school girl.will it be the human chick and will you describe her throat and how we can see our member?
>>
>>36707060

>>
>>36707029

>>36707081

>>36707138

>>
>>36707100
Orcs have pretty long tongues, but they do have to be a little careful. If you meant actually using the tusks for oral, then they aren't really shaped in a way that would make them all that good for the purpose.

As for tusk carving and sharpening, yes, it certainly does happen. The other popular option back when orcs had access to more resources was tusk caps of steel or precious metals.
>>
>>36707174
Has an Orc ever had their tusk cut off, and subsequently replaced it in its entirety, or do they wear the scar with pride?

I feel like the tusks would be a sign of masculinity and virility. They're very phallic.
>>
>>36707467
Many orcs have cracked, chipped or broken tusks, and provided that they were damaged in a suitably manly and warlike way, they wear that with pride.

An orc with no tusks at all though would be seen as less than a full orc, and there certainly is a connection to masculinity and virility in male orcs. An orc who did lose his tusks (given the fact that orcish pride in their tusks is well known, some enemies of orckind did make a habit of detusking captives) might get replacement ones, but even so he would be looked upon with a degree of pity or contempt.
>>
>>36707555
Presumably with extravagant enough caps you wouldn't be able to tell if there were intact tusks under there or not, but I imagine anyone hiding their dishonour that way would lose a lot of face if it ever got out.

Don't be silly.

Modern orcs as seen in this quest are derived from Warhammer orcs (seriously, Warhammer invented green skinned, savage barbarian orcs), which are based on a mixture of football hooligans and old celtic kingdoms.
>>
You tell your warriors to start looting, and work their way back to the rest of your pack in the bridge room to wait for you. They take to the task with gusto, gathering up the weapons and armor of the skeletons, stripping the necromancer of his meagre belongings. A pair of your warriors put their shoulder to the edge of the sarcophogi, shoving off the heavy lid, which crashes down off the dias in a cloud of dust.

You hear them talking exitedly as they pull a long ornate polearm out of the sarcophogi, its curved head resembling the fang of some great predator.

With the chamber cleared out, your warriors start to depart, as you pick up the unconscious ogress in your arms, lifting her up off the ground and carrying her over to the foot of the dias steps. You grunt with the exertion, Ashuris is far from light, and your muscles are tired from the strain of today's battles, still you persevere, taking a seat on the steps. You drape Ashuris on your lap, her plush rear pressed against your crotch, her back against your chest.

You reach your hands round to her chest, taking hold of her massive breasts. You start to kneed them, feeling the ogress' quickening breath as you squeeze the heavy, pale mounds. Ashuris gives a sharp gasp as you brush a nipple, hard and pointed in the cool tomb air. You smirk as you start to toy with Ashuris' breasts, while you do want to reward your slave for her good work today, the opportunity to play with her without her complaining is hard to pass up. You angle her body back, her back resting against your shoulder so you can get a better look at her chest as you work. You start to kneed the breasts in circular motions, going opposite directions, enjoying the pliant and supple feel under your palms. You press the breasts together, growing erection straining against your leggings as you hear the ogress moan.

>>
>>36708052
Still fondling one of the giant breasts, you slide a hand down Ashuris' stomach towards the cleft of her legs. Fingers combing through the dark hairs as you reach her most sensitive region. You chuckle as you find her lips already wet and swollen, slipping a pair of fingers between them without resistance. You hook your fingers up against the ogress' inner wall, her moans coming with increasing volume and regularity. As your fingers brush a rough spot inside the witch, she gives a gasp, eyes fluttering open.

She blinks, confused at her situation, her body moving unconsciously with the motion of your fingers.

“You did well today, Ashuris, your master is proud of you,” you growl in her ear, the dazed ogress' cheeks flushing as she turns to face you, still bearing a confused expression.

“I- I don't need your praise,” Ashuris mumbles, but the words have no strength to them. Even as she utters them her soft ass grinds against your swollen cock in time with your fingers' movements.

“So what do you need?”

The ogress moans, your continued assault on her breast and g-spot pushing her close to the edge. Her juices run freely with every thrust of your fingers.

“I need it,” the Ogress moans, her hands fumbling blindly for the belt of your leggings. In her dazed state she seems to be finding the process rather difficult, straining to pull down your leggings and free your member even as her own heavy rear pins them in place.

You chuckle as you watch her frustration, before helping the half-dazed ogress, sliding your hand from her breast up under her buttock, lifting her a little so she can tug your leggings down to your knees.

Your cock springs free, slapping between her cheeks. The ogress grinds against it, the sensations of her bare skin against your dick even more intense, and you growl with lust at the feeling. You pull your fingers from inside of her, the ogress seizing hold of your member to line it up with her now free lips.

(cont)
>>
>>36708078
She gives a satisfied shudder as your head pushes inside of her. You rest a hand on her thigh as your other continues to assault her breast, pinching at her sensitive nipple gently. This time Ashuris needs no motivation to act as your slave should. She steadies herself with her hands on the step. She drags herself up and down your length in slow, languid motions, shuddering and gasping with every stroke.

“You're a good slave, Ashuris, you were made for this,” you growl, stroking her stomach gently as the ogress starts to pick up her pace. You find yourself coming close to climax, Ashuris moaning openly as her ass slaps against your thighs with increasingly aggressive strokes. With one final motion the ogress hilts you inside of her, crying out in orgasmic bliss as you growl, unloading your seed deep inside of her.

She collapses back against you, gasping, her pale skin sheened in a layer of sweat. You sit there for a while in silence, toying with her heavy breasts as Ashuris revels in the afterglow of your exertions.

It's several minutes later when the ogress apparently remembers herself, standing up, your softened cock flopping loose as she rises, a trickle of cum following it, running down the witch's leg.

“I was just confused,” she mutters, “because of what happened.”

You smirk, pulling up your leggings and rising. “Of course you were, now let's get going before the pack starts to miss me.”

Ashuris is quiet for the rest of the trip, her cheeks flushed. She refuses to make eye contact, walking ahead of you, so you content yourself with watching the sway of her hips as she mounts the stairs.

You meet up with the rest of the group by the bridge, Juk'ruk still looking healthy save for a few cuts and scrapes, though it seems that they lost another of your clanmates when a lucky blow sent him tumbling down to the ground beneath, where he was swarmed by a dozen more of the skeletons.

You frown, but gesture for your pack to follow you. You overhear a couple of them laughing amongst themselves, having noticed the residue of your earlier activity staining Ashuris' inner thigh, earning them a sour glare from the proud ogress.

You find your way back through the caverns without too much trouble, Ashuris using her magic once again to guide you. As you step out into the dim evening light, you find Dru'ak waiting for you, still looking a little dazed, but far better than the last time you saw him. The rest of the poisoned orcs are lazing around in various states of consciousness, at least two of them seem to have been beaten rather hard, judging by their bruised and bloodied condition.

“Ur. Glad you're back, I did what you said, kept them in line. Some of them were freaking out, so I dealt with it,” Dru'ak grunts, fixing you with a hundred yard stare, barely blinking.

“Good Dru'ak, I knew I could count on you,” you nod, looking around the assembled group.

“Did you get the necromancer?”

“Gutted him myself,” you grin, patting your friend on the shoulder, the stoic Dru'ak giving an appreciative nod.

“There was something else I wanted to ask you,” Dru'ak mumbled, staring blankly into the sky.

The awkward moment stretches on as you wait for your drugged up clanmate to remember. Then he gives a grunt, nodding firmly.

“Is that normal?”

“Is what normal, Dru'ak?”

“Smoke.”

You groan, rubbing a hand on your forehead as you try to decipher the ramblings of your friend.

“What smoke, Dru'ak?”

Your clanmate turns, pointing out across the wastes. You squint against the evening gloom, and then you see it, several plumes of dark smoke curling up into the sky. Dark plumes of smoke rising up from the direction of your camp.

and to repeat my earlier question.

>I must admit I felt that all the 3d20ing did start to drag on after a while. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways the combat could be spiced up, preferably without making it too complex in the process?
>>
>>36708830
It's probably best that you don't roll for faceless mooks mobs such as our pack. Treat them as an extension of Ur'shal, (or whoever is the main combatant in the scene.) If he's doing well, they're doing well. That way might cut down of book keeping. Though its good to roll for named characters, such as Ashuris, seeing as how they can have a major impact on a combat scene.

Try to also have your enemies do more in combat. All the necromancer was really doing was sitting back and waiting for someone to tackle him, he wasn't doing much to take control of the fight.

Try to have combatants take into account scenery and how the battlefield is shaped. It kind of felt that the necromancer fight was occurring in a white room, with everyone slugging each other until someone fell down.

>>36709225
I'm reluctant to include rerolls considering how generous 3 rolls taking the best result is already.
>>
>>36709176
I'm ok with the combat as it is, but maybe showing the DCs would help.
>>36709225
Fuck fate rolls, if he includes them than that means crits are back.
>>
>>36709176
Personally: I say give Ur'shal more things to do.

Throwing knives/axes, make-shift bombs/chemical mixtures, traps, there's a lot to do without sorcery and all that shit, and right now we're only Axing ourselves the question of where to axe someone.

I also wouldn't mind it if you focused the combat more on Ur'shal and what he is doing, named characters taking a little bit of the spotlight. In more strategic battles, that will shift, but we're not quite there yet.

Maybe heighten the lethality a bit? I'm wary to say that, since there's a lot to be lethal with already and that can lead to players complaining.
>>
>>36709143
Can we roll to impregnate Ashuris?
>>
Roll to see if we can petition Y'zagya to morph her into an orcish beauty... so long as she remains sworn to the clan, she keeps her looks.
>>
>>36709302
Could do, I'd definitely want to reduce the number of characters you were rolling dice for though if I was going to be working out every DC.

>>36709304
Agreed on giving Ur'shal more options, and perhaps in future I'll try to, rather than just going >roll 3d20, actually give multiple options on what move to make next. That should help make things a bit more colourful, I would think.

As for lethality, I'll admit that I'm being generous at this stage, mainly due to the concern of shafting your clan before you really have a chance to get going. I might start being a little more ruthless as the cast grows and you can afford to lose a few more people, but I'm not really all that interested in making this a quest of named character attrition.

>>36709345
>Implying you need to roll for that

>>36709451
I'm just going to say this now. I was intending to wait until you could question Ku'zag about it, but since it keeps being brought up, I'll address it.

Ashuris cannot transfer over to Y'zagya Zoka and remain free of the ogre curse. For Y'zagya Zoka to do so would mean Y'zagya Zoka insulting not only Ylugri by stealing his worshipers, but the entire giantish pantheon who cursed the ogres in the first place. Y'zagya Zoka is not willing to risk sparking off another heavenly war over something like that. She likes Ur'shal, sure, but she sure as hell doesn't like him that much.

To add to that though, I should point out that unless you started letting the coven sacrifice orcs, or you started trying to convert your clan to the worship of Ylugri (which would be pointless since Ylugri wouldn't give orcs magic anyway), the orcish gods won't give a shit if some of your slaves are practicing a foreign religion.

Ylugri also doesn't really give a shit, because he's a vain asshole who's response to the coven's current predicament could best be summed up as "lol, you got dicked by orcs, keep those sacrifices coming you greenskin cocksleeves".

How would Y'zagya Zoka react to half ogre/half orc being cursed by the Giant's gods? Sure, cursing ogres is one thing, but foreign gods cursing half orcs is another
>>
>>36709756
Perhaps someday another option will become available, for now though the ogre curse is a result of the most powerful of the giantish gods personally shitting all over the ogres, and that's not an easy thing to find a way around. The only reason Ylugri gets away with breaking it is because he is basically the giantish pantheons set, loki and satan.

>>36709782
Giantish Pantheon hates orcs though, so they aren't interested in doing you any favors.

>>36709806
Possibly, it's not like there's hard and fast rules on such things. Ylugri isn't that organized.

>>36709888
A half-breed wouldn't be cursed, it only affects full ogres. Orc halfbreeds are orcs as far as their place within the divine definitions of reality are concerned.
>>

>Giantish Pantheon hates orcs though
Why's that?

By the way, would killing all giants forever remove the giant pantheon?
>>
>>36709957
>Orc halfbreeds are orcs as far as their place within the divine definitions of reality are concerned.

So a particularly brave or drunk orc woman could bone on ogre and potentially give birth to children that arethe very epitome of ogre/orc beauty?
>>
Seems someone already beat me to archiving the thread, so thanks for that, anon!

>>36709986
Because the giantish gods are smug assholes who think their race is superior to everyone. Orcs have been involved in several brutal wars with giants throughout history, and some of them have most definitely not ended in the giants' favor. Also with giantish pride being what it is, they tend to hold grudges over the whole "filling their proud womenfolk full of halfbreed bastards" thing.

>would killing all giants forever remove the giant pantheon?
Yes and no. Some of them might fade away or be devoured by the abyss without their worshipers to support them, the rest would probably try to find other domains to claim and change their divine nature.

>>36710119
Sure could.
>>
>>36709957

For combat, what works for a lot of quests is a rock/paper/scissors combat, with options.

Some games, like Endless space have tactics cards, and you choose them before battle for each phase, you get 3 phases and then roll result afterwards once for each phase. A crit and a countered card for the player could end battle early. Certain cards counter other cards.

Like
Offense > Tactics
Defense > Offense
Tactics > Defense
Ambush is a free round
Sabotage > Healing

>>36709957
>Giantish Pantheon hates orcs though, so they aren't interested in doing you any favors.

We probably fucked unless we feed them sacrifices, unless they want to worship orcish gods, and they get interested enough in us to somehow weaken the curse. The ogress would of course have to swear to our gods too. Probably for the ogress losing their mind scares them more then the physical deformity. Luckily next session looks like we can collect some to sacrifices soon regardless. I doubt it is a good long term solution.
>>
>>36710143
Does the ogre-beautification thing work on male ogres too? What do they look like?

>Some games, like Endless space have tactics cards, and you choose them before battle for each phase, you get 3 phases and then roll result afterwards once for each phase. A crit and a countered card for the player could end battle early. Certain cards counter other cards.

Does this mean I should also include the "win by fielding ten times the ships of everyone else because fuck you we're the Cravers" option?

Anyway, while I like the idea, I'd rather not bog the combat down with multiple phases and the like, so I'm not sure it's really practical in this situation. Thanks though, anon.

Wait until the next crazy party, some orc will probably get drunk enough to try it.
>>
>>36710323
I don't get it
>>

They do tend more towards the beautiful man side of the scale, yes, though the fact that they're pretty damn swole and have their big ogre dicks fully on display would make it hard to call them androgynous overall.

>Considering Ashuris and their feminine assets, would that apply to the men as well?
See above reference to big ogre dicks.

I really, really want an Ogre bro now.

When we captured the witches, we also enslaved their non pretty ogres, one of which was female. She's spectacularly ugly, but Y'zagya Zoka doesn't care if what you bone is pretty, only that it's fertile.
>>
>>36710407
By the way Warlord, are the children of non-ugly ogres ugly too? Or is it like a post-birth curse?
>>
>>36710527
If they're pureblooded ogres, they will be ugly from birth, the curse kicks in the moment they're conceived.

As mentioned previously though, the curse doesn't extend to halfbreeds.

>So a particularly brave or drunk orc woman could bone an ogre and potentially give birth to children that are the very epitome of ogre/orc beauty?
>sure could

Would Ogre dick be better than Orc dick?
Roundabout way of asking if they have bigger dicks than Ur'shal
>>
>>36710341
Aren't the cursed ogres all messed up inside? Like, they're stupid because their skulls are malformed and press on their brains. How are they even able to bear children if their organs are all wonky? Or is that the sole province of those who remain whole by sacrificing to the Mountain King?
>>
>>36710593
About on a par with your average orc. Ur'shal however is above average for an orc, so he's above the average for ogres too.

Of course ogres lack the whole sweat and semen magic thing that orcs have going on for them, so orcs are generally better at using said dicks.

>>36710594
They can bear children, though yes, stillbirths are common, and pregnancy chances are low. Ogres in fact tend to live in big extended (and heavily inbred) family groups.

Covens like Ashuris' are the exception to that rule, and are equal parts feared, revered, desired and reviled by the rest of ogre society.
>>
Oh yes, and since I didn't say so yet.

Next thread Saturday at 2000 UTC.

Could the remaining fugly ogress join Ashuris' coven? Might be easier to make that one loyal if we convinced her that we twisted Ashuris' arm to make her a witch
>>
>>36710923
Covens come in threes, I'm afraid. On top of which, not every ogre can become a witch. Most ogres minds are just too messed up to learn Ylugri's magics and rituals.

Even back before they got fixed up, the coven were smarter and saner than your average ogre.
