Welcome to the XLIX installment of "Disney Villains Victorious."

Disney Villains Victorious is a new /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

What should I give Grimhilde and Frollo, exactly?

I'm planning on giving frollo an immunity to mostly dangerous stuff like fire and have hiim walk around with a fuckload of Holy fire, so he can just burst everything into flames without harming himself, but aside that....I'm not sure.

Grimhilde is an alchemist, clearly, but not much else

Grimhilde is gonna be a Charm/Sensibility/Intelligence King, while Frollo is probably gonna get dumped in a lot of stats. He can't really charm people while being a skeleton, even if he does wear a mask, but he probably has some god-tier intelligence

Femme Fatale: Use a will point and make an opposed roll of charm vs. an opponents sensibility. If this attack succeeds, gain +3 on all future attacks against that character. This opposed roll is at +3 if the opponent is a male.

Atlantans Flare Gun: +3 ranged. First opponent hit by this weapon has -2 to all rolls for 2 rounds
Atlantean Crystal: May be used to heal 2 physical strikes once per scene.

For one Will point, the Horseman can summon and throw a flaming Pumpkin at his foes. Pumpkins are treated as a normal Agility/Robustness+Ranged attack, that causes Burning and has an AoE of 10m. Also grants a +3 modifier to Ranged when throwing the Pumpkin. The Horseman can alo use occult to boost the damage and AoE to 25m, but can't throw Pumpkins on his next turn and following actions.
-Nightmare Tamer (Unique!)
The Horseman is the ONLY one who can control his horse. Any other units, even with the Ride Em'! power, cannot ride the Night-Mare. The Horseman can also summon Night-Mare wherever he is.
-Unconquerable + Swept Away
The Horseman revives after he is defeated, unless defeated in or above running water. Power is nulled after its first use.

-(Great) Longsword: A Longsword of great quality. One-Handed, grants +2 to Melee.
-Light Plate Armor: Medium weight. Grants +2 to Prevent Harm.

well off the top of my head there are three potential spinoffs to be possibly done in the future, once the core book is truly finished;

1. Non-Disney expansion: to cover other works from non Disney companies that would be fitting in this world, such as Anastasia, Swan Princess, or Little Nemo in Slumberland to give a couple examples(considering El Dorado is Dreamworks this is a kinda obvious expansion)

2. Modern/Future: to cover various Disney properties that are set after the first half of the 20th Century, including much of Pixar's output and quite a few of Disney's TV output as well

3. Toon World: while Doomtown has technically been removed from the setting this supplement would bring it back and use it as a way to access the Home World of the Toons, both for potential adventure possibilities and to recruit help in your quest to take down the evils of the regular world

although there could be other potential expansions I'm forgetting about that could be included as well

Mechanicles, Mozenrath, and Mirage could be useful characters from the Aladdin series potentially as Villians under Jafar(maybe even Inner-Circle for Mirage and Mozenrath)

Forgot to put a description of them for those unfamiliar.

Mechanicles is a Grecian Inventor with OCD, in the show he wanted to dominate the world by means of the insectoid robots he created.

Mirage was a Bastet looking catperson who was from what I remember just absolutely crazy evil, all she really wanted was to see good get destroyed so pairing her with Jafar works pretty well.

Mozenrath was an asshole sorcerer from the 'Land of Black Sand' he controlled a hoard of undead monsters and murdered his dad who was apparently a fairly big time sorcerer.

Have you seen anyone use deceit for combat? If you want to roll for a social strike, persuasion is just as good a choice, and Intimidate is much better (as you can roll it with more attributes and it can benefit from better traits). I'm just afraid of Stealth being used for Super-Lying making Deceit near-irrelevant. Social characters have a major skill tax anyways, as they have to take Deceit, Persuasion, and Intimidate if they want to cover all their bases, as opposed to the Ranged-Only or Melee-only combat skill of a physical character.

The point is that lying to someone, or "making an untrue statement true via cognitive dissonance", is not and should not be based on skill at sneaking around, which is what Stealth is. You can try to use it for being stealthy, but that just isn't in the same skillset.

-Freeze: Frozen/Units afflicted with harsh cold suffer -2 Robustness and Agility. Effect can stack, but can't make a unit's Robustness or Agility go below 1.
Stun: Stunned units combat turn gets skipped. (Obviously a little bit easier to overcome this one than the others, as it is more severe)

Regain one strike every time blood of a sacrificial victim is drawn at most 50 meters away. On his own turn, regain two strikes for every sacrifice within 50 meters who has being bleeding for a full round.....of course, the sacrifice must be conducted with the proper rituals, and only 2 sacrifices can fit on the altar at any time.
-Reign in Blood
Strikes regained from BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! may take Tzekel-kan above his normal maximum strikes. Additionally, for every 5 strikes regained by these powers, increase Robustness by 1 for the rest of the scene.
-Needs More....Soul.
Spend one Will Point, and add Tzekel-Kan's Occult score to his next attack. If a Strike is dealt, restore one Will Point OR use the next Power without having to pay a Will Point
-Animate
Spend a Will Point. Tzekel-Kan draws his own blood (loses one Strike), and animates a Stone Jaguar to fight at his side. Cannot be used more than three times in the same scene. (In-unvierse justification is that he's losing too much blood)
-Blood Magic
Spend a Will Point, and burn one Strike. Tzekel Kan's next three attacks also use his Occult+Intelligence, with a +3 bonus for every Strike that Tzekel-Kan has lost.

Two, what if we change it so that Tzekel-Kan can sacrifice one of his allies to regain five Strikes or so? Reminds me of that moment in the movie where he pushed that guy into the magic pool.

If we assume he'll have leopard warriors or at least stone jaguars, it seems okay to me. Stone jaguars oughta need a lot of...soul to move, and draining that away oughta give him a boost.

I plan on adding the "Poisonous" trait for every attack with a weapon, but I don't know what else would be a good idea. I've seen the other suggestions but just slapping magic into her feels...odd.

I was under the impression that she'd be that one boss that isn't all that hard by herself, but can absolutely and completely fuck you over BEFORE that. Be it by ordering her huntsman after you, or by being able to morph into anyone around you and sneak a poison in your drink without you noticing

I was under the impression that unless you had a protection charm or spell, or anything to hide yourself from the mirror you could try to be a stealthy as you wanted and the mirror would still show you no matter the disguise if she asked.

And I dunno, giving her a power that's dependant on the mirror feels a little odd. Makes her less of her own character, I suppose....But then again, she had little to no character in the original, so who knows

Alright

Magical Potions table. Reminder that I'm sorta making this up as I go.

-Change Form (Minor)
"Easier" to make. Changes you from a young man to an old woman, an old woman to a young lady, a kid to an adult, and way the all around. Changes your appearances and physical attributes, but you will ultimately still be human. Aside antidotes and spells, it should eventually wear itself out slowly.

-Change Form (Master)
A lot harder to prepare. Changes you to any other species, or size, you can think of and gather the ingredients for. Can't be reversed without an antidote, a spell, or things like that

-Change Matter
Make stone into clay, make clay into silver, make iron into sand, make lead into glass. Can either make it so that it only works on the thing you want, and turns it into only what you want, or make it random.

Poisons:

-Deathly
Simply put, you poison someone. Can be slow or fast, calm or painful depending on the alchemist.

-Cursed
Poison someone into an eternal sleep, into a state of madness, into losing their sights forever. Pretty much the "Sadistic bastard" option.

-Penalties
Make men and women weaker by the minute. This won't "kill" them per se, or even curse them forever, but they will feel like old cats dragging themselves through the floor, eventually.

Tonics:

-Longevity
Live longer! Although, of course, it is just spreading the butter too thin on a bread that is too big. You won't feel good about it, and you won't age gracefully, at least not past a certain point. But you'll be around for a little longer.

-Boost
Drink this, and become the STRONGEST THERE IS! Or fastest, or more sensible....For a short period of time. Could be addictive and harmful in big doses, who knows?

-Spellbreaker (Master-level)
If you know the spell and you know your trade, this will cancel out that magical ooga-booga the fucking wizards put in you. Hard to make, needs to be specific, and could be quite dangerous....But it *should* work.

She needs to spend at least two turns to prepare one though, but she can spend a Will Point to cut that time in half.

If failed, unit is stuck in a nightmarish and is stunned for two whole combat turns. If roll is succeeded nothing happens. If roll is failed bad enough, as in below TN21, unit also takes a Strike in damage.
-Demonic Stare
Choose one target. +3 to Intimidation rolls against them for the rest of the scene.
-CHOO CHOO (Combination Attack)
For two Wll points from both Knight-Mare and the Headless Horseman, the Horseman rides his horse at its fullest to hit a unit. Both KM and HH roll combat rolls against this unit. HH roll is Robustness+Agility+Melee, KM roll is Robustness+Agility+Brawl. Causes Stun and Burning. Can only be used once. Can be only be used when at least 30m from target.
